Inspo for my next handmade project

After my first handmade skirt I got excited and now I want to make a full OP ▼⁠・⁠ᴥ⁠・⁠▼

This is something that made me fall in love with lolita since the very beginning: the strive for creativity and experimentation. I once again want to use the fabric of a garment that I no longer use to create a new and unique piece!

Maybe I'm getting a little too excited, after all I've never done a full dress from scratch before, so I'll be kind to myself if I make some mistakes and learn from them. (⁠✪⁠㉨⁠✪⁠)

I'm still new to lolita, so getting brand pieces and filling my wardrobe has been hard since I don't have a lot of money (I work selling my art and it doesn't pay off much lol). I've been buying clothing from local lolita brands since their more accessible for me, but I think that learning to sew it's gonna save me from bankruptcy :⁠,⁠-⁠)

I'm gonna follow some instructions that I found on the internet, I plan on documenting the process so I will share the tutorial that I'm gonna follow when I finish it in a future blog. Wish me luck! (⁠♡⁠ω⁠♡⁠ ⁠)⁠ ⁠~⁠♪

WATCH MS. PAC-MAN DANCE

#this is from the instruction manual for Namco Museum vol. 3 #got it today with a bunch of 360 games while i was yard sale shopping today #im honestly surprised to have found a house that was selling games. usually i figure folks would just sell them online for good money #but no each game ranged from 3-6 dollars #so i got: Dead Island 1. Mirrors Edge. Borderlands 1. and Namco Museum.#i also got Banjo Nuts & Bolts elsewhere. i had it a long time ago but i think i gave it away/sold it #so now i can see how far i got into the game now that i have another copy #that yard sale w/ the 4 games i got. they also had borderlands 2. some COD games. halo 3. and kinect adventures #they did have some PS2 games. only two worth mentioning is an eyetoy game. and Kingdom Hearts 2 #i'm always on the lookout for PS2 games but. i didnt grab KH2. theres a lot of pretty dudes in that game (from org 13) but im not a KH-head #though theres always a part of me that regrets not buying literally everything #but given that those 4 games costed me 15 dollars..... listen thats a good deal but i didnt have a lot of money on me #or not a lot i could risk spending all in one place #anyway. im playing dead island atm :) i picked sam b

Escape From Paradise by Jesus Loves Junkies is one of the best if not the best opening tracks for any album argue with the fucking wall

#I remember downloading music to go postal by for the first time from steam #and that song was the first in the tracklist of the compilation #and let me tell you the way this song just sets you into the whole album #the way it encapsulates the feeling of postal 1 and going postal #it's just unmatched by anything else #the other songs on that album are great don't get me wrong #but this just takes the cake and absolutely DEMOLISHES it #also incidentally it's one of the few jlj songs that have more decent mixing and audio balance #tolys.txt #jesus loves junkies #jlj #postal #music to go postal by #also one last thought #vol 1 is way superior to vol 2 #like vol 2 is compromised of like bajilion samey-sounding rock songs and what? like 2 electronic songs in total?#say what you want abt vol 1 but that shit has VARIETY like everyone's gonna find something they love in it #and it feels like it encompasses more of postal as a franchise #like you got silly stuff you got the serious stuff you got the edge and everything in between #sorry I had to be an autist and gush about this for a moment

#personal #hgsn spoilers #not in order bc the crop is terrible #and we did get a 'they wouldnt like me' face #his sad concerns went from 'he'll think im gross (not normal) 🙁' to 'i shouldnt be here :('#and tbh i think killing and his insides coming out are related but i feel the lesson he took away from vol 1/2 is 'dont look gross in front #of yoshiki' lol. then he went to kill asako while he wasnt there #THEN he learns ppl dont like that lol #while he's got a natural kill instinct apparently #anyways the whole series he does think abt things openly i think but i wonder if he'll start to distance himself from yoshiki maybe #bc before he was proud to take the role of protecting yoshiki but to appeal to yoshiki's human nature he now cant even do that #and then is thinking deeper abt hikaru's friends and might just accept what kurebayashi's been saying #and i wonder if kurebayashi will end up doing smth helpful. when she was the one in the first place against them interacting lol #i think i made a post tho abt how i think the main kids will have a diff response from the traditional village's response before #'hikaru' probably wont just follow along like hikaru did

just some thoughts from a byler shipper who only really got into the byler/general ST tumblr fandom after Season 4 Vol. 1. I think it helped me bounce back quicker after Vol. 2.

I never expect canon main queer relationships in media that aren't explicitly marketing itself as queer or with significant queer content (watch Star Trek Discovery if you wanna see a gay protagonist in a relationship have powers and be plot relevant in a mainstream-ish sci-fi setting). Plus I never thought about Stranger Things as anything more complex than popcorn flick media. I've been watching it since it aired, read a few fics here and there, but still, basically I only really had one month of invested time getting into the byler "hype". Which of course were dashed by Vol. 2. TBH I still haven't rewatched Vol. 2 because I still think it sucked outside of byler lmao. But then I remembered what I said myself just a few days after I watched Vol. 1:

it's very broad strokes but early June me was pretty much right on how ST would go about byler this season. Did they do it in a heavily problematic way? Hell yeah, especially if they don't follow through. But did they accomplish what I assume to be their goals (root for Will, feel weird about supporting MiIeven, have no concrete answers for either ship, while letting people in denial about byler believe it won't ever happen)? they totally did.

Like, listen. I'm not purporting to be some know-all fan. There's still a chance the series isn't going to follow through. But they did set things up for byler so that it reasonably could be the endgame ship. And right now, that's enough for me. I still really dislike S4 regardless, and likely won't watch S5 without reading spoilers/reviews first lmao but in the end, we've got about 2 years to wait this out, why not spend it with some moderate amount of hope? and also maybe watch Star Trek Discovery in the meantime
