Hey, Hi, if you consider yourself an ally but you still support JK Rowling or give her money, no you’re not.

If you disagree with her views and just want to engage with the media and that’s how you justify buying Harry Potter merchandise or games, you are part of the problem.

I am tired of sugar coating it and trying to scramble to protect allys feelings when you all put a fucking video game above so many people’s human rights and safety.

I don’t care if you aren’t from the UK, I’m not from the UK, it is still all of our responsibility to protect each other and do everything in our power to help each other stay safe.

I get that it’s nostalgic and it means something to you, I was obsessed with the franchise as a kid too. It doesn’t fucking matter. Frankly I don’t understand still having any love for this story as an adult anyway given how much horrible, evil, hateful rhetoric its stuffed with, but that’s a conversation for a different time, because either way, love it or hate it, you should not be supporting it monetarily.

Buy things used, go thrifting, borrow the books and games from friends, pirate the games, whatever works it doesn’t matter just don’t give this woman your money when she has made it abundantly clear time and time again the she will use it to harm people.

I am tired of pretending I don’t judge people for liking and supporting this franchise, I do. If you put money in this woman’s pocket because you want a little wand or a robe or a stupid fucking game you are not an ally and your actions are not understandable or okay. Fuck you.

i do not understand people who insist on paying money to hate watch something. like going to the theater to see something that you know is made by someone who is evil and bad or you know that movie has a really awful message that shouldnt be supported etcetc. like you just supported that media. you just gave it money. it doesnt matter whether you liked the movie or not, you just supported it regardless and the makers count you as engagement.

it still doesnt make sense when you watch it on a subscription service you already pay for. yeah you pay for it anyways but the analytics for the show or movie wont count you as any different than the people who loved it. if media was only ever consumed by people who hate it, media would still be made and profited on. those motherfuckers who made the show that was so bad and should never have been made are gonna see that they got a ton of views and thus that content is profitable. other people who make shows will also see that that type of content is profitable.

youtubers and other kinds of content creators who are infamous and awful and are widely hated often keep making content, not just because they still have fans who support them, but also because people who hate them still give them attention and viewership.

if youre gonna hate watch something so that you can "form a full opinion on it" or whatever other excuse you have, Pirate That Shit.

A: I don’t think I will ever show the “Rocky Port Incident” in the main story because it will take too long to draw. To put it simply, when Law heard that there was a poneglyph on Pirate Island (Hachinosu), he hijacked and hid in a giant passenger ship called “Rocky Port” to infiltrate the island. That ship was said to carry the king and some important figures of a certain country. However, in reality, the ship Law boarded was actually a smuggling vessel flying the flag of that same country, which was on its way to do dealings on Pirate Island. So, that led to some major trouble. Law got into a conflict with the pirates. At the same time, Koby and Blackbeard were also heading to Pirate Island, each with their own reasons, and the three ended up fighting as a united front. That’s what happened. The result of this incident; Blackbeard became the King of Pirate Island, Law became a Warlord of the Sea, and Koby became known as “the Hero”

I knew disney was gonna ruin lilo and stitch by making it live action like all their other movies but I didn’t think they would utterly eviscerate it this badly. I am in a state of actual grieving. Not only my personal favorite animated movie of all time, but arguably disney’s BEST film of all time has been utterly destroyed. They didn’t just ruin this movie, they fucken colonized it like America colonized Hawaii.

There is just absolutely ZERO respect for 2D animation and the stories we tell with it anymore and it shows.

When I’m done grieving the utter ruination of my favorite film y’all can expect an entire actual essay out of me going over every single detail of this live action travesty against animation.

Please don't pirate books! They are not like movies or franchises and you will directly harm the author by not paying them.

(Also because I've heard about people doing this: Buying the book from Amazon, reading it, and then returning it actively costs the author money. Also, this is exactly how libraries are supposed to work. And yes, libraries do have systems to let you check out eBooks!)

There’s this little moment early on in Steps into Shadow that’s driving me up the wall. They just rescued Hondo, Ezra’s shown off some new badass skills he got during the timeskip, and we get this exchange:

Hondo: “Is that really Ezra?”

Sabine: “Most of the time.”

Like. There’s some backstory here. That’s objectively a pretty strange and concerning thing to say. That’s not the type of thing you say when your little brother’s just been going through a rebellious phase and fighting with your parents. Some shit has happened here.

What has Ezra been doing up to this point that Sabine doesn’t see him as himself sometimes?

(Most of the really authoritative, shitty stuff that Ezra does in this episode happens later, spurred on by his promotion. Even with the Dark side, which he had been using before this point, Sabine’s surprised when she sees what he does to the walkers. She even asks when he learned to do that kind of thing, which means it’s new.)

What’s been going on beforehand to get Sabine to this point? What’s Ezra done that gets this offhand reaction out of her but that she hasn’t raised as a serious concern to Hera? Im chewing on drywall I NEED TO KNOW
