The girls liked being in Ms Johnson's class. Most of them had a crush on her and some, the lucky ones, got to be invited to stay at hers at the weekend.

Harry having the apricots-Dora-peaches of immortality-Dolores Dei visceral trauma response to the cover of the inframaterialism book (even though we have also pointed out it’s abstract kimharry with the green and orange and he doesn’t react to Kim’s orangeness or apricot empire in Suzerainty)
is one of the few scraps of evidence for my fanon birth name for the apocalyptic shrike: Nils Ingerlund

Ian and Barbara staring intently and grimly at each other every time one of them asks the other for something from the fridge only to chuckle (or even outright burst into laughter) before going to the fridge that's definitely there because 'this is 1994 for goodness' sake' is so important to me

Laying aside the question of folks with full-blown genderfeels just for a moment, a thing I’ve always found lowkey interesting is how much more common it seems to be for cishet dudes to choose to play women in RPGs than it is for women to choose to play dudes.
(The flip explanation is ofc that if you’re a straight man who is going to be staring at a character for many hours it might as well be a hot lady, but ime the pattern holds true in tabletop as well as CRPGs, so.)

there's a magazine interview with john flansburgh where he says they had a promo shoot around the kid album era, when they were into their late 40s, that involved the editor retouching the photos and basically cutting down half the width of his head, which apparently looked really weird and as a result may have not even been used. there was this idea that children's entertainers have to look energetic and youthful. like, the nonsense details that go into these things within the industry that the average person is not privvy to lmao

Something I find funny/odd about Dracula and the weird sisters is that Dracula tells Mina: "You have aided in thwarting me; now you shall come to my call. When my brain says “Come!” to you, you shall cross land or sea to do my bidding"
So he can totally summon vampires, no matter how far they are, to cross anything to come and aid him... Yet he won't call three experienced vampires to help conquer England when he's facing stubborn suitors hindering his job... As if he's been dealing with the sisters for centuries and just wants some me time. No, don't come it's FINE. I got this under control you three stay where you are.
The sensible reason: He needed the Brides back at the castle to maintain the stronghold and keep the locals terrorized.
The funny, actual reason: If the Brides knew how catastrophically he'd screwed up in England, Dracula would've staked himself and fallen on an axe just to escape the roast fest. He's not telling them shit.
