you know i think it's really funny (derogatory) that tumblr seemingly has the ability to create popups for ad-free, crabs, anything that will get them money, but when it comes to using popups to guide new users around the website layout they're just like "uww what can we POSSIBLY do?? all these new people only know twitter and they couldn't possibly read a popup explaining how to use the site!! let's just change everything visually appealing about tumblr to cater to our inability to make popups for helpful reasons uwu!!".

like you know what i want? If you're testing a change on me I want a pop up that says so. I don't want to have to rely on the @changes blog to see that. If i'm testing a change I should be given a feedback form that is specifically about that change. I want the results of the feedback forms for changes to be publicly viewable to the userbase. you could learn so much about how this website actually functions for users through that, but no. we can only make popups when it fiscally benefits us! we can't use polls to get a sense of what the userbase is feeling! we can't publicize what % of feedback about a change was positive or negative. we couldn't...possibly...

Astarion is at a loss on how to go about picking out something new for himself when given the chance. Floundering a bit he reaches out to his love for help and receives some supportive guidance. Just a short and hopefully sweet fluffy one-shot that's been living rent-free in my head since buying him an outfit at the Facemaker’s Boutique.

Bodies scattered the floors and blood soaked into the rugs at the Facemaker’s Boutique. The staff and owner were still rattled by the murder attempt. But at least Figaro ‘Facemaker’ Pennygood was so thankful to still be alive that he offered a discount to them all on the spot. The last thing Astarion expected was for their defacto leader as well as his lover to actually take up the offer so readily. But in their early days, she was not above picking up rags and anything else not nailed down for a bit of extra coin to buy one more healing potion or spell scroll.

With a soft clap, Anna declared, “Well now that bit of unpleasantness is all sorted out, how about we all do a little shopping?”

He watched as Gale and Karlach gave one another a tired but agreeing shrug. They both made a beeline to pick out some long overdue fresh undergarments to start. Astarion however felt rooted to the spot for so long that she noticed, drew close, and offered her hand. Stopping just short to give him the chance to decide if he wanted the contact or not. He stared at it for a moment before thinking to take it in his, give it a nervous squeeze, and side-eye the others. His lips pursed tighter as one of his brows cocked high in quiet alarm.

In a discrete murmur, so low only he could hear she guessed, “Star… has it been a while since you’ve picked something out for yourself?”

After a soft embarrassed clearing of his throat, he admits in his own way, “To say I’m out of touch with the current trends would be an understatement. What do you think I should get?”

the heart - they make the shape of a heart, but there is a crack down the centre, which leads on to

the skull - there is a skull between them, with the eye sockets blending into stedes eye and eds kraken makeup. the skull is cracked down the middle

they form a skull and crossbones ☠️ shape with the sword and the rose but because of the way they are facing, it also has

the sword through the eye - the way that stede killed someone in s1, an accident, mirrored by the rose on the other side, but this one misses the eye

Ya know, current setups are real fun, but I've been playing horse games again lately and I've noticed some things...

If Roxy were to find the horses in storage and decide to keep them as her own, her only knowledge of horses up to that point would be horse games. I'm trying to think about the other ones I've played because I can't say I ever really looked for accuracy before, but depending on the games, Roxy would have a surprisingly hard time with this.

To my memory, none of them have the saddle positioned correctly. I don't remember any that used martingales or chest plates which some of the Plex horsies have. Horse games are designed in such a way that you can visibly see where the budget and time was put in, meaning you have some games that tell you a little about what you're doing, and some that are very detailed about certain aspects of horse care, but completely fuck up the rest of it. It's fascinating to me.

If Roxy played Bella Sara for example, she would know you can't ride until you've cared for your horse, but she wouldn't know about any sports outside of show jumping. If she played Pony Friends, she would know about trail riding, that racing is a thing and that horses get sick if not cared for properly, but may not understand that you can't ride a sick horse. Sick horses aren't really relevant here, but you see my point.

Like the standard sports tend to be show jumping, cross country and the chronically under-explained dressage games. They also all have a mechanic for brushing the horse and cleaning the hooves out, with most of them having you clean out the stable too. BUT none of them are consistent outside of that. So even if she played a bunch of them, she's not going to know what she's doing at all

Brushing and combing is straight forward enough. There's a method to doing hooves and stuff she'd not know but if she can figure out how to lift their foot up, she'll be fine. She may also know about leg wraps from some games and would find it pretty easy to do simple hairstyles with them, though the tail would be a bit harder.

But that saddle is not staying on that horse. She may get a basic bridle right but probably doesn't know what the bit is. The horses are literally built to help in teaching this stuff and they're struggling trying to find ways to help her but they're fucking horses man. What are they gonna do? All they can do is kinda give her a nudge, make loud noises, move out the way, steal shit and bite her. The Minis are trying to help but they also don't know what they're doing at all so that's not working either

The absolute relief when Roxy finds Foxy's bird and reactivates her. They've never been so excited to see a duck before. Things get easier at least, but lack of information is only part of the issue for Roxy so uhh... Yeah it's not the biggest improvement ever, but hey! At least the saddle's staying on this time!

i have been thinking about that ‘give your oc a kink’ post for days. because i think even would have a thing for hypnosis. yes, yes, for character reasons of overwhelming feelings of impending failure that make the idea of having the ability to choose anything at all be taken out of their hands look extremely appealing. but also because it would be so fucking funny in the worse timeline. imagine you get stuck in time hell with a guy whose whole thing is hypnotizing people, and u hate him. u hate him so. so much.

status update on my mission to 100% and platinum yakuza 0: completion list is at 99.2% and would’ve been finished today if not for pool (carom/combo shots- i made enough money from it though) and batting. my most significant peaks today were probably beating both so and jo amon on the first try miraculously and at one point i got like 34 points in expert koikoi

We have a bulletin board in the back office at work, right within clear sight of my desk. Frequently we tack up cartoons and memes and other jokes there. Mostly library humor or just general clean funny stuff.

A certain coworker has started to use it for political humor.

I find this distasteful and inappropriate to the office, regardless of the exact nature of the politics. And since it's a public board, and sometimes we do take down old cartoons, I have quietly removed these and run them through the shredder. Maybe that wasn't the best course of action, but I was angry and that's what I did.

And one that I removed last week has been printed out all over again and put back up.

I've had it. I don't know what this man is trying to accomplish with this, but it's frustrating. It's not just the cartoons, it's on top of a lot of other incidents in which he brings his politics to work in an in-your-face way. And it's a childish sort of humor too. Mocking certain controversial figures that he doesn't like.

Despite the fact that this is really getting to me, I don't know if this is worth addressing to my boss, who might see this as trivial. But it's driving me crazy. I'm not asking anyone to fix this, but...anyway, that's how the last couple of weeks have been.

and talking about postcanon again because i can never seem to shut up about it. michael’s old pride is as we all know entirely shattered. which leaves him different from how he used to be and leaves room for things that are not his father’s influence to slowly come and take their place. do you get what i mean. like instead of being the ruler of heaven he has an armchair in his and adam’s house. instead of his lance he has a mug he uses to drink coffee and nothing else that has one of those stupid cheesy jokes on the side of it because adam thought it was funny. instead of his archangel blade he has his own row of books on their bookshelf that he reads to himself when adam is asleep and quietly reads aloud to them both when adam’s awake because his voice serves as another reminder to adam that he’s still there and they can never have too many reminders. and obviously it takes time obviously he spent every waking moment since he was created being a good son and a big brother and millennia upon millennia since lucifer rebelled being a soldier instead of a person and obviously that’s not going to just leave him. but slowly but surely he learns what it is to hold pieces of himself instead of weapons. and the next time they’re at the grocery store and adam half-jokingly asks him if he’d rather have chicken or salmon for dinner, michael thinks about it and says—salmon.
