"Hey, Daryl! What are you up to?" Glenn asked his friend; shouting down from one of the guard towers in Alexandria. "'M goin' out," the archer answered; stopping in front of the wooden construction to look up at the Korean. Glenn smiled. "I can see that - but what are you up to?" Daryl shrugged his shoulders. "Huntin'. We're out of 'possum." Glenn couldn't suppress the small giggle, which left his lips. "Yeah, right. Be careful out there. The sun's going down soon." "Nah, got a least two hours 'fore sunset." Even though Glenn knew the redneck for quite a long time already, he was still sometimes surprised and impressed by his skills.
"Alright. See you." Daryl nodded and wanted to walk past the tower, when Glenn stopped him again. "You know the rules," he shouted after him. The archer gave his friend another nod and a low grunt, before he made his way to the big doors; leaving his home behind himself.
Tumblr media
Roaming the woods and wide meadows around Alexandria; the archer was on search for something alive to eat. He followed a few trails, which only led to nothing, or a dead cadaver; already feasted on by a walker. Daryl didn't find himself having a lot of luck this evening - at least in the Alexandrian hunting grounds...
Stepping on 'forbidden' land, Daryl's senses were sharpened. Not just because he was looking out for some animal to hunt... Because of the walkers. Sure, you always had to look out for them - but the problem was that he couldn't kill them. Not here. They'd know. You'd know.
The archer sneaked as quiet as possible through the woods; always scanning his surroundings - and yet he couldn't prevent it from happening. A single crack of a twig a few meters away from him announced his doom - and before he could even blink, he was surrounded. About ten men; bow and arrow raised at him and all dressed in the signature clothing he was so very familiar with. Boots, black cargo pants, linen shirts or hoodies. Some of them had fur mantles draped over their shoulders. Others wore a hood. But everyone had a bandana covering most of their faces. Damnit, thought Daryl.
"Drop the weapon!" One of the men yelled. Daryl did what he was told; knowing that he had lost the game already anyways. So, he dropped his crossbow.
The archer's eyes scanned the group then; looking out for you - their leader. But you found him first.
"Crossing borders again, Dixon?" Your voice urged to his ears, causing him to swiftly turn around. You stood behind him; dressed like the men around him. Black cargo pants, beige linen shirt and a fur mantle; bandana loosely hanging around your neck. The only difference was, that you somehow looked more... gracefully. It seemed like the clothing fitted you so much better. Or was it just the way Daryl saw it?
The left corner of your mouth twitched upwards; smiling halfway at the archer. Your bow lazily draped over your shoulder; one hand securing it.
"I asked you a question."
Once again managed your voice to grab his attention; snapping out of his thoughts. He subtly cleared his throat and lifted his gaze to meet your stunning Y/E/C eyes, before he shrugged his shoulders. "I ain't seein' any borders, nor yer name scarified in any of the trees."
It had been the wrong answer. Daryl knew as soon as a man stepped out of the circle behind you; marching with big steps towards you and him. The man had his bow secured on his back and drew a gun instead. He walked past you and aimed the weapon at Daryl; ready to pull the trigger - but you stopped him. Much to Daryl's surprise.
"Leave it, Isaiah." You addressed your right-hand-man. Isaiah gave the archer a death glare, but listened to his leader, of course, and withdrew the gun, engaged the safety and placed it back in its place on his weapons belt. He even took a few steps back. Nevertheless, rested Isaiah's hand on the gun; ready to defend you. If necessary. "It's alright. Mr. Dixon just likes breaking rules. Nothing new, is it?" It wasn't by far the first time that they found the archer within their hunting grounds. Daryl quite liked to... expand his hunting trips. Of course, they didn't catch him every time, but often enough to know.
Daryl just grunted and scoffed. "Rules ain't existing in this world anymore." You lifted an eyebrow, before you started to shake your head. "Ahh this is such a shame," you stated; beginning to circle the archer like a hunter its prey. "Truly. How many more times do we need to explain to you how the shots get called around here, until you finally understand it, huh?" Daryl answered nothing, just clenched his jaw.
"Look, Daryl..." You clearly put the emphasis on his name. "Our communities live in peace together. We agreed to respect one another and when the opportunity occurs, even trade things. But nothing more. We are not crossing your paths and you are not crossing our paths - which includes the hunting grounds as well. You can ask Rick if you don't believe me..." You shrugged your shoulders and continued to circle him. "We have absolutely no problem - but..." You stepped closer; invading his private space and whispered lowly into his ear: "If you keep breaking the rules, we might have a problem."
At your words ran a shiver down Daryl's spine. The problem was, that he couldn't tell if it was out of respect - or arousal. And it scared the very tough man quite a bit.
He could see from the corner of his eyes, how you stepped away again and turned to your men. "Let's call it a day." Everyone withdrew their weapons from Daryl and started to move.
Then you gave Isaiah and Yosh a nod. They knew exactly what to do. Walking towards Daryl, they pushed the archer forwards; into the direction in which the other men were heading. Daryl turned and gave them both a death glare; ready to jump at them and fight - but he knew better than that. He wasn't stupid. He knew when he had lost a game. And this one was already lost a long time ago.
You walked past him; following the group. "You're coming with us. Be our guest." The archer grunted. "What if I don't wanna?" You turned to face the man, while walking backwards. He's very sassy today, you thought. "You're not refusing the offer of a lady, will you? Come on. I have something to discuss with you."
And so, Daryl followed you - wordless and without a fight. He knew that he wouldn't stand a chance. Not against you anyway - and he was clearly outnumbered.
About fifteen minutes later and walking constantly through the thicket of the forest, you, Daryl and the rest of the group reached the community. It was hidden within the trees, on a large clearing. High, thick walls made out of wood marked the outline; strengthened by thick metal tiling. Some would say it looked a bit like the Hilltop, but there was clearly something special about it. Daryl's eyes widened as he saw it. He's never been at their 'camp'. Only met them outside and in the woods. The walls were surrounded by a wide, deep pit. A deep pit which reached around the whole camp - as it seemed. The entrance was only reachable through a drawbridge. Like a castle, taken straight out of the Middle Ages. The archer shook his head. That was surreal. Impossible.
Before he could think more about it, he received another shove, causing him to stumble on the drawbridge. Together with everyone else, he walked through the big doors and behind the safety of the huge walls - and pit. You walked beside him and gave him a smug smile; as he looked around, stunned.
"Welcome to the Wolf's Pit, Daryl."
The archer's eyes widened in astonishment as he took in the scenery in front of him. The place bustled with people. Women, men, children. Small, wooden houses soaring everywhere. Most of them were finished; some of them not. Daryl was also able to make out the small fields with vegetables and crops all around the place. It was stunning. Fascinating. But then he also felt the eyes of several people on himself. Some of them gave him confused gazes; some of them sceptical and threatening gazes. Nonetheless, it was clear to the archer, that they were all asking themselves the same question... Who was he and why was he here?
One wrong move and Daryl would have a big problem - and he knew.
You noticed this as well, of course, and how 'alarmed' Daryl was. So, you stopped, causing the archer to stop, too. You then nodded towards your wooden hut. "Come on. Let's talk, shall we?" While Daryl followed you wordlessly, the other men - including Isaiah and Yosh split up to go their own ways from here.
Your little hut was definitely the most 'majestic' one. Sure, you were their leader. The moment Daryl entered your home, he was utterly impressed. It wasn't super big, but very detailed and beautifully furnished - if you could call it that. The most of it was clearly self-made, not scavenged. The fireplace, table, chairs and several other things. A lot of furs and pillows decorated the house, making it appear very cosy. And again, was this one question ghosting through Daryl's head…
"How were a few people able to build somethin' huge like tha'?" He finally asked; still looking around in awe. You put down your weapons and fur mantle; smiling, before you turned to face him. "That is a valid question, Dixon. To answer it honestly, we didn't even build that much of it." You began to explain, while you made a fire in the fireplace. "When we found this place here, it was more or less a site. Diggers, trucks and other construction vehicles were standing around. Clearly, they wanted to build something big here. The pit was over halfway dug out already. Two wooden huts were still standing; about to be demolished. Just like the wooden fence. Whatever it was they started here, it was never finished. So, we took the opportunity, scavenged the things we needed and build this." You finished; gesturing around. "Quite impressive, right?" Daryl nodded. It was true.
Silence spread within the hut, as Daryl's blue-grey eyes followed your every move. You picked up a few branches and twigs from a basket and threw them into the crackling fire. Before his gaze would stick on you, he averted his eyes again; clearing his throat. "Why 'm I here? Whaddaya want from me?" You turned to face him once again; smiling. "Oh, you know exactly why you are here, Daryl." Again, you rolled his name off your tongue so easily, as if you'd known each other for years. "But I'll explain it to you again." You took a step closer; dusting off your hands. "Admittedly, I don't like you straying around in our territory. We both know that this could end bad for you - which would be a shame, because you are special. You are not like the others, Mr. Dixon. I noticed that the first time we met, and I like it." Your smile even widened, "Therefore, I have an offer to make. One you are freely allowed to decline..." before you gave him a once over. "Or accept."
Daryl looked at you quite a bit confused. "An offer?" You nodded. "An offer." He looked at you for a moment intensely; trying to figure you out. "Aight. Spit it out."
You wettened your lips; holding his gaze. "Go now; never come back and sneak around our hunting grounds. Keep on breaking the rules and risk the bridges we build to burn down or..." "Or?" You bit your lip; starting to smile cheekily. "Or stay; spent the night with me and you'll be allowed to go hunt wherever you like."
For a moment, the archer thought he misheard you/your words. All his facial features literally derailed; blinking. He definitely needed a moment to process this and to regain composure.
"That's extortion, woman." Daryl then scoffed; crossing his arms over his chest and visibly trying to play it cool. You were quite unimpressed from his reaction and shook your head. "It's not. It's an offer - like I said. I'm not forcing you to do anything." "Why would ya offer me somethin' like that?" You bit your lip once more and started to circle him like you did when you and your group caught him. "That's simple. I saw the way you were looking at me. Whenever we met each other. Do you really think I didn't notice, Dixon? You are very bad at hiding your physical attraction towards me."
Your words were like a blow into the gut for the archer. He swallowed - hard; was speechless. He felt like a deer caught in the headlights.
"What? Cat got your tongue?" You teased him; giggling. "It's because you know that I'm right, isn't it?"
That was the moment Daryl lost it. He couldn't prevent the heat forming in his cheeks; a blush creeping on his face. You smiled and stopped right in front of him. Slowly, you lifted your hand and drew a seductive line from his shoulder to his pec with your pointer finger; whispering: "Gotcha."
An undeniable shiver ran down Daryl's spine at your words; your touch leaving a burning, sizzling sensation behind.
You took a step back, but kept your hand in place; fingers started to toy with the lapels of his angel-winged vest. "So, what do you say?"
Daryl swallowed; needed once again a moment to get his brain to work properly again and especially to play it cool. What if this was a trap? He couldn't just cave and give in like that, could he?
"It ain't a fair deal, is it? One night in exchange for free passageway? Seems very suspicious ta me." "Who says it's only one night?" You asked with a smirk and looked up to meet his eyes, before you pressed your palm flat against his chest and started to back him up against the nearby wall. "What if our paths cross more often from then on, because we want them to cross? It's a win-win."
You weren't a predictable person. Daryl had figured that out very quickly - but he saw the move you were about to make coming. So, he decided to took you by surprise and join the game. Before you were able to pin him to the wooden wall, he placed one hand over the one which rested on his chest, quickly grabbed your wrist and spun you around - slamming your back against the wall. Now you were the one trapped, not him.
"Why would ya risk it?" Daryl asked in a hushed, raspy voice, while he towered above you; leaving you no chance to escape. Not that you wanted to escape. No, you quite enjoyed the turn of things. It caused the sexual tension to grow even more. So thick, it was cuttable with a knife.
"Huh? Why? You ain't have a reason to trust me." You giggled and leaned closer to him. Not that you were very close already. "I don't have to trust you, Dixon." Your lips almost touched his as you spoke. He could feel your warm breath on the skin of his face. "I just need to give you what you want," you added, whispering. "So, tell me..." You moved a hand to his leather belt, which was slung around his hips and held his old, tattered jeans in place and hooked your fingers through the loops. "What is it that you want?" Then you tugged, causing the completely stunned archer to stumble forwards; hips clashing against yours.
It took Daryl everything, to not let the thundering moan leave his lips, which had built up in his throat. He gritted his teeth; jaw clenching. It was that moment, in which he realised that he couldn't suppress his attraction towards you any longer. Not after that. He got lost in his own primal need - and gave in. His clouded mind urging him on to make a rather bold move. So, he did. Acting fast, he sneaked his hands down to the back of your thighs and lifted you up; causing a small yelp to escape your mouth. He didn't beat about the bush and crossed the small hut to throw you on the fluffy, cosy bed. He had made his decision - and you knew it.
Giggling like a schoolgirl, you looked up at him, "Thought so." and crooked your finger; making a come-hither motion. "C'mon, big boy. Claim what belongs to you then." And he did.
Tumblr media
Daryl stayed the whole night – like you said. And let's say it that way… The night was thoroughly spent.
When the first sun rays of the new day poured through your makeshift windows, a firm knock sounded through the hut and woke you up. You knew exactly who it was. Stretching your limbs, you stood up and tiptoed completely across the hut, in order to grab your dressing gown. "Come in!" You whisper-shouted; not to wake the sleeping man in your bed. The wooden door swung open and revealed your right-hand-man, Isaiah.
"Good morning," he said; closing the door behind himself. You gave him a smile; tying the knot of your robe. "It is, indeed, a very good morning." You had no shame when it came down to him. Neither secrets. Isaiah was like the big brother you never had and best friend in one. You loved him dearly and were grateful for everything he had done for you.
Isaiah's eyes wandered over your body, before they travelled to the bed. "Ah, I see." He stated; seeing the archer's barely covered body. Daryl was still sleeping tightly; laying on his belly with both hands buried underneath the soft pillow, in order to support his head.
Isaiah grinned like a Cheshire cat. "Sleeping with the enemy?" You shook your head; smiling. "He's not the enemy, Ice. He's an ally - just like the Alexandrians..." Your eyes roamed across Daryl's bare, broad back. Some scratches of your fingernails were still visible; memories immediately taking you back to the last night. "...and the man I'd like to keep in my bed." Isaiah chuckled. "I assume you had a very pleasurable night then?" "Then best of my life."

The Walking Dead Terminus Tavern Pop-Up Human Flesh Burger
Food
Type of Funny Food: Event / Tie-In Product
Introduced: September 2014
Location: Terminus Tavern Pop-Up, London, UK
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In a bizarre promotion for the upcoming 5th season of The Walking Dead, Fox UK commissioned two London-based creatives (Jim Thomlinson and Miss Cakehead) to invent a burger whose meat tasted like human flesh. To replicate this taste, they studied interviews with cannibal serial killers and logs from travelers who were forced to eat human meat to survive.
Tumblr media
The meat of the burger was a mixture of pork, bone marrow, and veal, and was served with lettuce, cheese, and bacon ketchup between two sesame seed brioche buns. Burgers were free while supplies lasted.

Chapter 20-
Tumblr media
Slowly the sound of the horde got closer. The walkers' growls and snarls getting louder with each passing second until you could finally see them.
It didn't take long for the horde to reach the makeshift blockade and the group of you all quickly rushed forward and started taking them out one by one while they were stuck behind the blockade.
You stabbed your sword through skull, after skull, after skull, Daryl swinging his Morningstar, bashing in their heads beside you.
You could hear everyone grunting as you all worked as a team, taking the walkers down one after the other. The more you killed, the more that kept coming, but you didn't give up.
"The fence isn't going to hold!" Someone further down the line shouted.
Yeah, he was probably right. But, while it was still holding, you were going to keep killing them while they were trapped. You swung your sword again, slicing the head off the next when suddenly you were all sprayed with something wet. What looked to be balls of liquid flew through the sky, drenching you all and stinging your eyes.
"It smells like a Christmas tree!" Jerry's voice shouted.
You blinked it away and continued stabbing the walkers, not giving the liquid much thought when suddenly fire arrows soared through the sky in your direction, hitting the fence and instantly lighting it up.
What the fuck?
Suddenly, someone started to scream, and you spun around to find the person completely on fire and you came to a very bad realisation of what the liquid was.
Oh, God.
"It's like gasoline!" You shouted, your eyes locking with Daryl's panicked ones.
They could literally just light you all on fire right now if more of those arrows came.
Fuck.
"Get back inside!" Daryl yelled, coming to the same conclusion.
Everyone instantly started sprinting back to Hilltop, just as the blockade gave way, the walkers spilling out behind you.
Just as you were about to reach the gate to Hilltop, arrows suddenly shot straight past you and before your very eyes, the walls of Hilltop went up in flames, trapping the group of you between fire and the dead.
Oh, this was not going to end well.
"Get through the gate before the flames take over!" Someone shouted and nobody needed to be told twice before you all sprinted through the open gate, narrowly missing the flames.
By the time you got inside the walls of Hilltop, everything was on fire.
The trailers. The barns. The sheds. Even Barrington House was burning.
The walkers followed you inside though, but there was no time to dwell over it as you continued fighting.
You lost track of how many you killed as you swung your sword. You kicked the nearest walker away from you about to cut its head off with your blade when you caught site of Judith out the corner of your eye, killing walkers with her katana.
Whoa, what the fuck?
You saw Ezekiel a few minutes ago rounding up the kids and getting them out of here. What the hell was she still doing here?
Without thinking, you sprinted over to her just as she stabbed a walker through the legs, but the walker screamed out in pain.
Oh, shit. Shit. It was a Whisperer.
"No, please, please don't." The Whisperer begged, falling to the ground as he looked up at Judith who stabbed her katana through his stomach causing the Whisperer to cry out in pain.
Before Judith could finish the job, you stepped in front of the girl. Her wide panicked eyes met yours and your heart shattered when you saw them swimming with unshed tears.
"I-I killed him. I killed him." She stuttered in shock.
"No. You just stabbed him, okay?" You insisted before you turned around and stabbed the blade of your sword through the Whisperers head, killing him instantly. "See that? I killed him."
Judith nodded ever so slightly, the tears in her eyes silently falling down her face, but you could tell that she was trying to be brave as she bit her lip in effort to stop it from trembling.
"Hey, hey, hey, listen to me, okay? His blood is not worth a single one of your tears."
Judith nodded again, but still seemed to be in a state of shock. She was just a kid damnit. She shouldn't even be here. Why didn't she go with Ezekiel?
"I can take her." Earl's voice suddenly said, and you turned around to find the older man rushing towards you.
"No, I want to fight." Judith protested, snapping out of her shock.
"I know, kiddo. But you need to keep the other kids and your brother safe. Can you do that for me?" You asked and she nodded. "Good girl, now go with Earl."
To your relief, she didn't try and argue. Earl grabbed her hand, and you watched him lead her to safety before you turned your attention back to the fight.
The walkers just kept coming through as you fought against them. You hadn't come across another Whisperer though, all the ones you crossed paths with were actual walkers as you stabbed your sword through their skulls killing them all.
You weren't sure how much time had passed as you kicked the next walker out the way and looked around Hilltop. The entire community was up in flames and smoke, and that's when you realised that you couldn't see the others.
They had abandoned Hilltop.
That was probably the smart idea. This community was beyond saving, not even a single piece of infrastructure was standing, all of it either collapsed or on flames and about to collapse.
Shit, you needed to get out of here too before the herd traps you inside this burning death trap. However, before you had a chance to run, something hard collided into your back.
The force of the hit sent you falling to the ground, and you didn't get a chance to brace yourself before you fell, landing on one of the corpses that you had killed earlier.
You couldn't stop the cry of pain that escaped your lips, the hard landing jostling your injured ribs.
Black dots started to cloud your vision as you breathed through the pain and forced yourself onto your hands and knees.
You glanced around trying to figure out what had knocked you down before you saw the burning tree trunk on the ground beside you.
Wow.
You nearly died from a fucking tree.
Shaking your head, you grabbed your sword from the ground and got to your feet, only just managing to kill the closest walker before it could attack you.
You winced, your ribs now really hurting as you wrapped your free arm around them and staggered out of Hilltop, cutting and fighting your way through the sea of the dead.
The woods were full of scattered walkers that had broken free from the herd, but they were scarce, and it was easy enough to hide from them and wait for them to pass instead of trying to fight. Your ribs were hurting too much to fight right now.
You weren't sure when, but the sun had now risen in the sky above you. Bright light shining through the treetops as you limped through the woods, trying to find any of the others.
They had to be out here, right?
The others had to have survived and gotten out of Hilltop.
You figured they all would have back tracked to Alexandria or Oceanside maybe. So, heading in the direction of Alexandria would be the best idea.
Suddenly, leaves crunched from behind you, and you spun around with your sword raised when your eyes landed on Negan.
Oh, thank God.
A sigh of relief escaped your lips as you sheathed your sword over your back and took a step towards him before you noticed the Whisperer mask in his hand, and you froze.
Wait.
You didn't get a chance to really process it before Negan suddenly grabbed you, spinning your around and pulling your back into his chest, pinning your arms by your side uselessly.
"Let me go!" You shouted, thrashing in his grip which did nothing but make your ribs flare in pain.
"Stop." Negan ordered, as you hissed at the pain, but didn't stop fighting. "Just stop. You're hurting yourself."
"You're working for her, aren't you?"
"Sorry kid, this shit is done."
You knew there was no point trying to fight him. He was stronger than you and with your ribs, you were no match against him.
But you were an idiot and never knew when to quit.
No matter how much you tried to break free from his grasp, you couldn't, and he led you out into a clearing in the woods towards a small building.
Deep down, you knew what he was doing. Negan was going to deliver you to Alpha.
You should have never let him out that damn cell. Daryl was right, Negan wasn't a good guy. He had betrayed you. He had fucking betrayed you.
Before you knew it, Negan had you tied to a chair in the small building.
Once he was satisfied that the rope around you was secure and that you couldn't bust out, he left the building. Leaving you sitting inside the room, vulnerable and helpless.
You wanted to yell at him. To scream at him to come back and untie you, but you weren't stupid. You couldn't risk attracting walkers. If the dead somehow broke into this building, you were fucked.
So, instead, you just sat there, trying and failing to loosen the rope around you.
It didn't take long before you heard footsteps from outside, getting closer and closer.
Being a hunter had its benefits, and you knew there was more than one set of footsteps outside.
Negan had Alpha.
Fuck.
Yanking your arms and legs, you tried to break free of the rope, but all it was doing was cutting into your skin, drawing blood, but you kept trying.
There was no fucking way you were dying here. Not like this. Lydia and the others didn't die just so you could die like this. No fucking way.
Suddenly, the door in front of you swung open and you came face to face with your mother.
Your heart was beating out of your chest as you thrashed in the chair, not taking your eyes from her as she stared at you before that sickening familiar grin started to spread across her face.
"Well, well, well." She said, taking a step towards you, pulling out her knife from her belt.
"If you're going to kill me, just get it over with." You said, finally giving up with trying to break free.
This was it.
"Oh, I'm not going to kill you... not yet anyway. I want to hurt you first."
Yeah, you saw that coming.
Your entire life, all she had ever done was hurt you. Why would now be any different?
"Alpha?" Negan suddenly said from the doorway.
Your mother paused, staring at you for a moment before she turned back towards him and you watched in utter shock as Negan swung a knife, slicing your mothers throat.
A surprise yelp escaped your lips as you watched Negan gently lower your mother to the ground. Blood gushed out the cut across her throat as she gasped and gurgled, blood pouring from her mouth.
Sudden flashbacks of Alpha trying to cut your throat with wire all those years ago came flooding back. The scar across your neck suddenly burning as you thought back to that day.
You could hear Lydia screaming in your mind as Alpha slashed your throat.
Closing your eyes, you tried to shake the memory from your mind, but it wouldn't go away and subconsciously, you knew you were working yourself up into a panic attack.
Your breathing hitched as you struggled to get air into your lungs, your heartbeat thumping loudly in your ears as the walls around you started to close in
"I'm sorry you had to see that." Negan's voice said, but it sounded like you were underwater, his voice muffled and constricted.
"Whoa, hey."
Suddenly his hands were on your shoulders as your eyes snapped open to find Negan hovering in front of you, blocking your view from Alpha dead on the floor.
"I'm not... I'm not. Fuck." You gasped, unable to speak.
"Just breathe. Y/N, just breathe." Negan instructed, hastily cutting away at the rope around you.
Once your restraints were free, you sprung up from the chair and rushed out the building, not daring to look at your mother's lifeless body on the floor as you stepped past her.
You looked up at the sky, taking in a few shaky deep breaths as the sound of Lydia's screams slowly faded from your mind and the scar around your neck stopped burning.
Fuck.
You needed to get a hold of yourself. Having a panic attack was not going to help anyone.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you what I was planning. I needed it to seem real to lure Alpha inside." Negan said from somewhere behind you.
You nodded, having put two and two together sometime during your freak out as you closed your eyes and took a deep breath.
"I wanted her to die, it was just how you killed her..." You trailed off before turning to face him, yanking the collar of your shirt down, exposing the thick scar around your neck.
Negan's eyes widened in shock as he stared at it.
That was the reason you always had it covered. People were nosy, it was human nature, you didn't blame them. But you hated all the questions you'd get and there was no way you'd ever tell them that your own mother had tried to kill you.
Only Daryl, Jesus and Ezekiel knew the truth.
Lydia used to... she was there when your mother had tried to do it. But nobody else knew and Negan definitely didn't either.
"Alpha... she did that to you?" He asked, putting the pieces together.
You nodded, not trusting your voice at the moment.
"Shit. I had no idea. If I'd have known... I wouldn't have cut her throat, not in front of you."
You appreciated that, but didn't say it out loud, instead simply nodding as you turned away from him, looking out at the woods.
You took a step away from the building surveying your surroundings, but now that you weren't in the middle of a freak out, you could feel the pain flaring through your ribs as you winced, resting your hand over them.
"You okay?" Negan asked, noticing your pain.
"I got beat to shit a few days ago, remember? Ribs don't magically heal if that's what you're wondering."
Negan sighed, walking over to you until he was standing by your side.
"I'm sorry if I hurt you earlier-"
"You didn't." You lied, not wanting him to feel guilty for it. "Now what do we do?"
"Now, I take your mothers head to Carol. Proof that I killed her, then she walks me through the gates of Alexandria to start a new chapter." He explained and you nodded. "You want to help me find Carol?"
"I probably shouldn't be around Carol. I might do what you just did." You said, nodding back to Alpha dead in the room.
"Things that bad between you two?"
You shrugged your shoulders, "I don't know. But I don't want to see her, not yet."
He nodded in understanding before the two of you went your separate ways.
You didn't hang around to watch him hack off your mother's head, instead you started to make your way back to Alexandria.
It was nightfall by the time you got back to the community. Half the walls around Alexandria were destroyed, but to your relief there were people standing guard everywhere, keeping an eye out.
"Y/N! Oh, thank God." Aaron's voice suddenly called out.
You stopped in the middle of the street, your hand resting over your ribs as you turned towards his voice.
Suddenly, Aaron was hugging you before you could even move as you stood there frozen in shock.
You and Aaron didn't hug... ever.
Things had gotten a little tense between the two of you lately. You weren't exactly sure where you stood with him, but clearly he didn't care about any of that now.
You winced as he hugged you a little too tightly and he quickly let go, his wide eyes going down to your arm around your ribs.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry." He quickly apologised, looking panicked.
"It's fine." You reassured, smiling softly at him. "Are the others here?"
He nodded, "a lot of them made it back."
"But?" You asked, knowing there was something he wasn't telling you.
"Daryl isn't here yet... and Ezekiel, Eugene and Yumiko have gone. It's a long story, but Eugene had been talking to someone over the radio and thinks her group might be able to help us."
You nodded, slowly taking in what he said.
Could you trust this other group? Maybe not. But frankly, you needed all the help you could get against the Whisperers.
"There's one other thing." He added, his expression dropping.
"What is it?" You asked, dread filling your stomach.
"Magna is back. She got separated from J-Jesus and Connie... she doesn't know if they made it out."
Tears started to fill Aarons eyes as he shook his head, looking away from you.
"Does she know if they're alive?" You asked, but he just shook his head.
Jesus had to be alive. And Connie. They were strong, they had to be.
Neither of you said anything for a moment as you stood in the street before Aaron sighed, wiping the tears from his eyes.
"You're hurt. You need to see a doctor." He said, changing the topic.
You shook your head, "nah. It's just my ribs, I'm fine."
He looked like he wanted to argue, but his daughter came running up to him before he got the chance and you gave him a small smile, greeting young Gracie before you walked down the street to yours and Daryl's place.
You collapsed on top of the mattress, Dog curling up by your feet. Your lack of sleep and exhaustion hitting you like a train and you fell asleep within minutes.
"Y/N. Hey, sweetheart, m'sorry, but ya need to wake up." Daryl's gentle voice said as you blinked your eyes open to find him sitting on the edge of the bed. "Hey." He smiled down at you.
"Thank God." You sighed, sitting up and wrapping your arms around him. "I thought..."
"I know. Me too." He whispered, hugging you tightly.
Your ribs were starting to hurt as you hugged him, but you didn't dare let go, wanting to savour the moment as long as possible.
"Negan told me what happened. Are you okay?"
You nodded as he pulled away, cupping the side of your face with his hand before he leant forward and captured your lips with his.
"M'sorry." He whispered against your lips as you kissed him back.
"I'm sorry too." You replied softly.
Things hadn't been great between you and Daryl. With everything happening, it had put a strain on your relationship, you both knew it. But, neither of you wanted to admit it.
"We're gatherin' everyone up. It ain't safe here."
"Good idea. Beta... he won't stop until he kills every one of us, especially after killing Alpha." You said, pulling away from him and Daryl nodded.
"We're taking cover in an abandoned hospital. C'mon."

Had a fun weekend heading to Halloween. Dressed up as Negan from Dead City and went to a Halloween event at a bar down the street, the lighting almost gave off that vibe too. I dressed up again at work today too. Anyways I had a great time and this Halloween in general was a blast. This was probably one of my favorite Negan outfits to recreate other than the OG one

For enid can it be enid x dixon reader like season7+ where there is a party after defeating the saviors after the first or second time and enid and the reader are having a moment and someone starts being disrespectful in that way to them so Daryl steps in and defends them in front of everyone and he and the other reassure them there is nothing wrong with their relationship, something like that lol

Everyone was feeling amazing. Even Rick and Michonne were feeling better, Negan had been defeated. No one had to live in fear anymore or be treated like shit. That was what the three communities had fought for and thanks to the ocean side who swooped in and helped at the end they were able to take down the saviors. Each community wanted to celebrate this and had a party combined at the Hilltop. Since the saviors had pretty much destroyed their homes, they didn’t have elsewhere to host the social gathering.
Y/n, thanks to her dad was good at hunting, which resumed in a lot of father and daughter time. Y/n didn’t mind at all though, her dad was everything to her. This leads to her and her dad walking back to the Hilltop with lots of different animals for the people, so that they could have a more ‘fancy’ dinner. Each step getting closer to the Hilltop felt more and more exciting for Y/n, she was finally seeing Enid after all this time. When the war was ongoing they, of course, didn’t have time to spend together. Especially when her dad was being held at The Sanctuary, Y/n was devastated and went to The Sanctuary by herself to get her dad out. She didn’t succeed though, when she made eye contact with him while hiding out he immediately shot her a look that said ‘get the hell out of here’, cause the last thing Daryl wanted was for Y/n to get caught then have something happen to her. It made her heart ache seeing how beaten up her dad was, dressed in some type of prisoner clothing. But she’d never disobeyed him much to everyone’s surprise, Y/n had always been a good girl. Daryl was very happy with how she was due to the history of his family.
“Slow down there,” Daryl panted. “Yer old man is gettin’ old, why ya runnin’?” he asked.
“M’ not.” Y/n was quick to say.
“Yeah ya were, haven’t seen ya this excited since the prison.”
Y/n instantly knew what he meant and felt a little sad at the mention of her dead uncle. She knew he’d done some messed up stuff to Glenn when he kidnapped him and Maggie and took them to Woodbury. The people in her group didn’t want him at the prison, which she understood. Although Y/n was happy to see her uncle again, she hung out with him at the prison nonstop completely unaware that it would be the last time she’d see him forever. It hurt a lot when her dad came back to the prison and told her that the governor had killed him. She saw how upset he was and comforted him all night. Sure, she was upset about it, still it was nothing compared to her dad. However, their bond had only grown stronger since Merle’s death.
“M’ just excited knowing I’ll get to see everyone happy again” Y/n explained and ducked her eyes from her fathers gaze, knowing he’ll see straight through what she just said.
“Ya sure there isn’t just a certain someone ya want to see again?” Daryl teased her.
Y/n slapped his arm gently making her father chuckle, she just rolled her eyes. Her and Enid had gotten together a few weeks after the group arrived at Alexandria. Something about Enid drew her in, maybe it was the mysterious thing she got going on or the fact that she was hard to get and a total challenge for Y/n.
Y/n had never thought about dating before but that changed as soon as she saw Enid. Carl was their biggest supporter, he was also Y/n’s best friend. His death is something she was never going to get over. She misses him every minute and second of the day, knowing she’ll never get to share one of their inside jokes with each other again or that she’ll never be simply having a conversation with him ever again. Now he is gone forever, and there is nothing she could do to change that. Though her dad helped her through it so that she didn’t lose her mind. Y/n even comforted Rick a little, reassuring him that it’ll be okay and that he’ll be somewhat okay. The pair of them hugged, he knew how much Carl meant to her. She also said to Michonne that over time it will get better, she knew this by losing her uncle back at the prison. Everyday that went by she thought about him still it got easier after a while. She still missed him but knowing she still had a family that loved her made her keep going and let go of her uncle.
Daryl and Y/n finally arrived at the Hilltop, the people greeted them with happy looks on their faces for the first time in a while. Everybody tried to see what they’d caught as they walked to Rick and Michonne, who was standing at the old museum.
“Looks like you caught a lot of stuff.” Michonne said when the pair of them reached hearing range.
“Yea, little one ‘ere has perfect aim.” Daryl informed and gave Y/n a pat on her shoulder, making her smile softly at Michonne.
Daryl took the dead deer that Y/n had been carrying on her shoulders and handed it to Rick. Daryl, himself, was carrying four rabbits and two squirrels that he’d caught.
“That will be perfect for a lot of stew,” Rick pointed to the rabbits and squirrels in Daryl's hands. “Great job Y/n, this huge deer will feed many mouths.” He gave the teenager a soft smile. “That and we got enough of vegetables and potatoes here for stew.” Michonne chimed in.
“Where’s Enid?” Y/n asked the pair, impatiently tapping her foot against the ground while looking around.
“With Maggie, where the saviors that were dumped here are being kept.” Michonne said.
“Thank you,” Y/n thanked quickly then sped off to the little prison like see through house where they were being kept.
When she got there, Maggie was the first to notice her. She smiled at Y/n when she noticed her, then poked Enid in her side, who was standing and watching over the saviors that were inside the barbed wire. Enid turned around confused and her face lit up when she was Y/n. Y/n hurriedly walked over to them.
“Hey Y/n,” Maggie said.
“Hi Maggie, how ‘s it going with them?” Y/n asked in a lower tone referring to the saviors that were currently locked up.
“We’re letting them go out everyday one by one with a guard next to them. So far, there haven't been any issues.” She informed making Y/n nod. “I’ll leave the two of you alone to catch up.” Maggie gave Enid and Y/n a teasing smile.
Y/n smiled at Enid as Maggie walked away then brought her into a hug.
“I’ve missed ya a lot,” she said. “I never want to go so long without seeing ya ever again. I love ya, Enid.” Y/n felt how her whole body became warm when she said that, she’d never loved someone like this before.
They pulled away from each other and Y/n could see that tears had forced themself into Enid’s field of vision. She quickly grabbed Enid’s hands softly.
“Are ya okay?” Y/n asked.
She couldn’t even react before Enid had put her hands on the sides of Y/n’s face and kissed her. When she realized what was happening she put her hands on Enid's waist. The kiss was full of emotions, neediness, joy but especially romance and love. Enid broke the kiss when she had to pull away for air, she placed her forehead against Y/n’s and breathed heavily.
“I love you too,” she confessed in a soft whisper.
Y/n looked deeply into Enid's eyes, she could feel the tears starting to build up in her eyes. She had really found the right one, the way Enid made her think, feel and act was just right. Nothing could ever make her stop loving Enid. Enid was the one and only for her, she was perfect. The world felt like it was revolving around them and nothing could hurt them-
“Are you two done with your little moment?”
Y/n wiped away the tear that had spilled from her eye.
“Excuse ya?” Y/n asked as she looked at the savior who had just spoken.
He had dark brown hair that went down to his shoulders, it was wavy and his beard was more than a stubble but it wasn’t long. His eyes were dark green and he was tall and muscular. The look in his eyes filled with disgust.
“You heard me, no one here wants to see that, bitch.” He stated leaving Y/n absolutely mind-blown, not knowing what to say, but it made her furious when she saw that it made Enid quite sad.
“Ya listen to me now-” Y/n started but was interrupted.
“Woah, woah! Calm down there little lady,” another savior came up behind the man. “my buddy Jack here was just being a little rude and I’m truly sorry about that.” The man said, Y/n didn’t buy it though.
From the look on the man’s face, she could tell he didn’t mean it in the way she was hoping he did. He had a creepy smirk on his face that was very disturbing. The smirk grew even wider before he started talking.
“What he was trying to say is that, no one wants to see you kissing,” he said with a stupid smile on his face making Y/n confused. “We want to see some real action, if you know what I mean.” He winked at Enid making Y/n’s blood boil even more, yet she couldn’t get a single word out of her mouth. “I’ve only ever seen it in the movies, and I personally think that Jack was being rude, cause that kiss was honestly turning me on.”
Daryl had been watching from the entrance to the museum, Rick and Michonne had left to give the animals to Carol who was going to cook along with some other people around the place. He could tell something was wrong but he didn’t know what was. The way his daughter went from happy to disturbed so fast. Her whole body language had changed so quickly, he couldn’t see in front of her. Although he saw the whole thing with Enid and first thought that something had happened between them, because they had backed away from each other. He moved to the side and then noticed the two saviors that were talking to Enid and Y/n. Immediately by instinct he almost ran over to the scene that was taking place. Daryl knew how saviors could talk and how absolutely disgusting some of them were.
“As soon as me and Jack here get out of this box, why don’t you join us for a foursome.” The man winked at Y/n unaware that Daryl was able to hear him talk. “You’d enjoy it, it’s not like you know what it’s like to get some dick in you anyway. Maybe you’d just let us watch you and your little girlfriend-”
“Hey!” Daryl yelled with pure rage in his voice.
When he got eye contact with Y/n and saw how upset she was, he didn’t even think or hesitate. He reached in-between the wire and grabbed the guy's shirt then pushed him up against the barbed wire, making skin on the man’s cheek begin to pull off. The man’s eyes were now filled with pure fear.
“If I ever hear ya disrespect ma daughter and ‘er girlfriend again, I’ll rip every piece of skin off yer stupid fuckin’ face.” Daryl breathed heavily as he threatened the man, his rage making him forget how to breathe. “Ya hear me?” he asked.
The man nodded and whimpered in pain, the wire pulling harshly on his skin, making him bleed. Daryl let him go with a push making him fall back onto the ground.
“That goes for ya too.” He warned the other guy. “And every single else of ya fuckers, I’ll kill anyone ‘ere that looks their way, weather it’s harmless or not.”
When he turned around, his immediate reaction was to hug his daughter.
“’M sorry.” Daryl apologized as he held his daughter close.
“’S okay dad,” she said. “Thanks for standing up for me and Enid.” Y/n said and went to comfort her girlfriend.
“Thanks Daryl.” Enid said and gave him a quick soft smile.
“Let’s get ya two inside okay, don’t want ya out here with these assholes.” Daryl smiled softly back and then led them inside.

Chapter 17-
Tumblr media
While you walked around Alexandria trying to calm down, you came across a squirrel that had recently died just lying on the ground. You stared down at the dead creature before an idea suddenly popped inside your head.
It was a stupid idea.
Childish even.
But fuck it. You were over feeling like the bad guy, and it wasn't like Daryl was watching you. He was too busy with Carol anyway.
You grabbed the squirrel by the tail, Ace looking up at it in confusion before you turned around and walked into the cafeteria where a lot of the residents were busy eating breakfast. The second you stepped inside you spotted the group that had been harassing you. A few of the old members from the Highwaymen and that teenager Gage.
You walked straight up to them, plonking the dead squirrel on their table before you sat down causing them all to look at you in confusion.
Without looking at them, you pulled out your hunting knife from the sheath on your belt and began to gut the squirrel on the table, blood coating the wooden tabletop as you sliced the blade down the stomach of the squirrel.
"Oh, my God, what is wrong with you?" Gage questioned from beside you, his face screwed up in disgust.
"You're crazy!" Another one exclaimed. "Is this why Ozzie and Alek died? So, she could make a fool out of us?"
"Not here." Margo whispered, looking at her friends before glaring at you.
You lifted your head, meeting her gaze before you smiled, lifting your bloodied finger to your lips in a hushing motion.
"Shhh." You whispered, your grin widening as the group of them abruptly stood up and exited the cafeteria.
You watched them walk out the building, muttering more comments about how crazy you were before you reached over to Gage's bowl of cereal and placed it onto the ground where Ace was sitting.
You patted Ace's head as she ate the cereal before you grabbed the piece of bread and jam from Margo's plate and took a bite. Once you finished eating, you washed the dishes before walking back to the house and to your relief, Daryl wasn't inside.
Ace followed you downstairs, Dog already down there, sleeping on the couch before he heard you coming in and jumped up, barking in joy.
You chuckled, "well, at least someone is happy to see me."
You patted Dog before you walked over to the sink and began to wash the squirrel's blood from your hunting knife.
"You do wanna live here, right?" Daryl's voice suddenly asked.
You glanced over your shoulder to find him walking down the stairs, looking at you with an unreadable expression and you knew he had heard about the incident in the cafeteria.
"They deserved it." You muttered, looking back down at the knife before you sheathed it on your belt.
"I know." Daryl sighed, stopping at the foot of the steps. "But you can't be doin' shit like that."
"But they can just write whatever the hell they want on our door? Yes, I saw the graffiti before you washed it off."
'Silence the Whisperers' was painted on your front door with yellow paint. It was just one of the many things that you had noticed this morning that had pissed you off.
"I'll talk to 'em. I'll set 'em straight." Daryl insisted.
You shook your head, "don't. I don't want you to fight my fights for me, okay? They want me to give up. I know that. But I'm not gonna, okay? I can't. Lydia wouldn't want me to give up, so I can't."
Daryl sighed, looking down at the ground, "I get it."
You glanced back over at him and smiled softly.
"Can't ya just avoid 'em?" He asked and your smile instantly vanished.
"Seriously?" You asked, raising your eyebrow and Daryl's eyes widened, realising what he said was a mistake. "Whatever. I'm going to clear my head. Don't come looking for me."
You stormed past him up the stairs, Ace quick to follow after you before you walked outside to find it was now dark, the moon in the sky above you lighting up Alexandria perfectly.
You began to make your way over to your usual spot, wanting some time alone as you wandered through the clotheslines of towels and blankets, but before you could sit down on the grass like you usually did, Margo suddenly stepped out from behind the clothesline.
She grinned at you under the moonlight, lifting her finger to her lips.
"Shh." She hushed, mimicking you from earlier with a widening grin before she glanced at something behind you.
Quickly you turned around to find her friends now standing behind you and suddenly you had an awful feeling about this. The teenager Gage, you could easily take along with Margo, but the two bigger men might be a problem.
You began to reach for your sword, when suddenly Margo attacked you from behind. She somehow grabbed your sword at the same time she grabbed you, pulling your back into her chest as she held your sword against your neck.
You froze instantly, knowing just how sharp that blade was. Hell, you only just sharpened it yesterday. Damnit.
"Why do you hate me?" You asked, trying to keep your voice calm as you stared at the men in front of you.
"You put my friends on spikes." Margo responded from behind you, holding the sword inches from your neck.
"I didn't fucking do it!" You shouted, slamming your head back.
The back of your skull collided with her nose. Margo grunted in pain before she yanked your Desert Eagle from your holster and slammed the gun against the side of your face.
You stumbled back a few steps, reaching for your forehead to find blood staining your fingers when you pulled them away.
"Ozzie was always a fair man. So, in his honour, I'm gonna give you one last chance. If you run away now, we'll play dumb when they ask us." Margo explained.
You turned your attention back to her, your gun still in her hands and aimed directly at you. But, you knew she wasn't stupid enough to pull the trigger. That Desert Eagle would wake up everyone in Alexandria. It was the men standing behind you that you were more worried about.
"This is my home. You're my people." You replied, but clearly that was the wrong answer.
Suddenly one of the men behind you grabbed you, throwing you to the ground.
You hit the grass hard before the group started to kick you while you were down.
They were shouting about how their friends' deaths were your fault, but the only thing you were focused on was Ace barking and growling in the background. You forgot she was with you and now you wished she had stayed home with Daryl.
The men continued to kick you until you heard something crack and you were pretty sure it was one of your ribs as you cried out in pain.
Suddenly Ace's growls and barks got louder before Margo screamed and then...
A gunshot cracked through the cool night air.
For a second, you thought that she had shot you. But, then you heard Ace yelp in pain.
The entire world came to a sudden halt. The men kicking you had stopped as they gasped in shock and you quickly got to your hands and knees. Your ribs were aching in protest, but you ignored it as you looked over at Margo.
Her eyes were wide in shock, the gun dropping from her hands as she stared at something on the ground.
You followed her line of sight and your heart shattered when you saw Ace lying on the ground, a pool of blood seeping into the grass from underneath her. Tears instantly started to rise in your eyes as you stared at her lifeless body.
"You just killed her fucking dog." Gage said in utter shock.
Margo seemed just as shocked, "it attacked me. I didn't have a choice-"
"You fucking bitch!" You screamed, springing to your feet.
You had no idea you could move so fast because a second later, your fist collided with Margo's face, knocking her out with one punch.
That was all it took for the men to snap back into action.
One of them grabbed your hair, yanking you back before another slammed his fist into the side of your face, once, then twice, then a third time.
"Get off me!" You screamed, slamming your elbow back into the man holding your hair.
Suddenly, one of the men tackled you to the ground, your back slamming into the grass painfully as he wrapped his hand around your throat, pinning you there. Out the corner of your eye, you could see Margo getting to her feet. Your sword was back in her hands and eyes full of rage as she glared at you.
"Let me go!" You shouted, but it was no use with the man practically sitting on top of you.
His fingers tightened around your throat like a vice before Margo stepped towards you, raising the sword when suddenly Negan came out of nowhere and threw her backwards.
You watched as Margo's head slammed against the wall, but you didn't give a shit about her right now. Negan punched the other man before grabbing the one pinning you to the floor and pulling him off you.
The second his fingers weren't wrapped around your throat, you began to cough, trying to get air back into your lungs, but every cough sent sharp pain radiating through your ribs as you winced.
"My-my dog." You whimpered, fresh tears filling your eyes.
You tried to sit up, but couldn't before Negan suddenly knelt beside you, grabbing your shoulder.
"Hey, hey, hey. It's okay." He quickly said before glancing over at your dog. "I'll go check on her, okay? Just don't move, don't move."
"We were just trying to scare her. I'm sorry." You heard Gage say in the background somewhere.
Negan looked over at him as he stood up about to go check on your dog before Brandon ran around the corner.
"Yo, Negan. What the hell's going on back here?"
"Holy shit, Margo." One of the men gasped.
You tilted your head to the side, to find her lying on the ground. Her head bashed in against the wall that Negan had thrown her into, and your stomach dropped. Negan had accidently killed her.
"Shit." Negan sighed, coming to the same realisation as you.
Negan stared at Margo's body for a second before he rushed over to your dog still lying motionless on the ground and by the sad look on his face, you knew what he was going to say.
"I'm sorry, kid. She's gone."
A fresh wave of tears washed over you from where you were laying on the ground, pain radiating through your body. Negan knelt down beside you again, grabbing your shoulder before ordering Gage to get a doctor.
Within a few minutes, a huge crowd of people appeared around you, looking between you, Margo and Ace all lying on the ground.
"Y/N!" Daryl's voice shouted in the distance.
Quickly, Negan let go of you and got to his feet just as Daryl rushed over.
"I didn't do this." Negan quickly said, raising his hands. "They were attacking her and shot her dog. I was just trying to help your girl, I swear."
Daryl stared at Negan for a moment, before choosing to ignore him as he dropped to his knees beside you.
"Shit, Y/N. How bad are ya hurt?" He asked, cupping your face with his hands.
You couldn't stop yourself from crying as Daryl took in the cut on your forehead, busted lip and bruise already forming over your cheek.
You could hear the crowd of people talking in hushed whispers about Negan and how they shouldn't have let him out the cell.
But you were barely listening to them. All you could think about was Ace. She was dead. Your dog was dead because of you. Ace had tried to protect you and she died because of it. This was all your fault.
"How badly are ya hurt?" Daryl repeated, his worried blue eyes looking you up and down.
"Negan killed Margo!" Someone suddenly shouted.
That snapped you out of your thoughts as you tried to sit up, but Daryl wouldn't let you.
"No. it wasn't- He didn't do anything wrong!" You quickly yelled, looking over at Negan who was standing off to the side anxiously.
"Get him out of here!" Daryl ordered, pointing at Negan.
"No! Please, no. He didn't do anything wrong!" You cried.
"I know. I know. I know. I know." Daryl quickly said, his voice so soft as he looked back down at you.
"He didn't do anything wrong." You sobbed, curling in on yourself before Daryl shouted at Siddiq and Dante for help.
-
Apparently, you had least two broken ribs and a couple stitches on your forehead. The bruise along your cheek was nasty and you had a split lip, but other than that, the doctors said that you were going to be okay.
But you didn't feel okay.
Nothing was okay.
"Hold that right there." Dante said, placing an icepack against your ribs as he lowered your arm to show you how to hold it in place easily.
Dante rested his hand on your shoulder gently, looking at you sadly.
"All good?" He asked and you nodded weakly before Daryl walked into the room. "I'll be back."
You watched as the doctor walked out the room before looking down at your lap, tears burning in the back of your eyes as you thought of Ace.
Daryl slowly walked across the room towards you, tapping his fingers against the bench anxiously as he stood beside you. You could feel him looking at you, but you just kept staring at the floor.
"I'm so sorry this happened to ya." He finally said, but if you were being honest, you weren't really listening.
You heard him speak, but you didn't listen to the words. All you could think about was Ace. Her body lying in the grass bloodied and lifeless. It was your fault. It was always your fault.
"Y/N."
Daryl grabbed your shoulder gently, but you still didn't look at him. You kept your eyes focused on the small stain on the floor across the room, trying to focus on something that wasn't pain.
Physical pain, you could deal with it. You had your whole life but losing Ace... she had been with you for so long, she had been by your side for so long no matter what, but now losing her only a few months after losing Lydia... you couldn't do it.
"Everything I love, disappears."
"That ain't true." Daryl said from beside you.
You didn't realise you had said that out loud. But it was true. You lost your father, your stepfather, little sister and now your dog. They were all gone, and you couldn't do anything to save them.
"You still got me." Daryl whispered, squeezing your shoulder.
"For how long?"
You lifted your head and looked at him. His crystal blue eyes softening when they locked with your teary eyes.
"What do ya mean?"
You shook your head, too exhausted to explain.
"Doesn't matter." You whispered, barely even recognising your own voice.
Daryl didn't say anything for a moment before he stepped closer, his hand still on your shoulder as he leant against the bench you were sitting on.
"What happened out there?" He finally asked.
"Negan saved my life. I know you don't want to believe that. But Negan isn't the same man that he was six years ago. He's changed, and he saved my life."
Daryl sighed, but didn't say anything else as he wrapped his arm around your shoulders and pulled you into him and that was all it took before you broke down in his arms.
Once you calmed down enough, Daryl took you outside and walked you around to the back of Alexandria where the cemetery was and showed you where he had buried Ace.
Daryl stayed with you for a few minutes before you told him you wanted to be alone. At first, he didn't want to leave you, not when you were injured, but you had reassured him that you've had worse and that you would be fine.
You sat beside Ace's grave for a long time. Daryl had made a little cross at the head of the grave, her collar wrapped around it.
"I'm sorry about your dog." Carols voice said from somewhere behind you.
Taking a deep breath, you closed your eyes for a second, needing to prepare yourself to talk to her. You hadn't spoken to her for a few days and there was a reason for that.
"Thanks." You said quietly, not turning to look at her.
"Look, I know you might hate me for... well, for a lot of things. But, we both want the same thing."
You glanced over your shoulder, "yeah? And what might that be?"
"For Alpha to die."
"When you figure out how to do it, let me know. Until then, fuck off." You responded, turning back towards Ace's grave.
"I have figured it out. But I need your help." She said causing you to turn back towards her. "You're close to Negan and I need you to sneak into his cell and let him out."
"Why?"
"So, Negan can sneak into the Whisperers camp and kill Alpha from the inside. You in?" She asked, holding her hand out towards you.
"Hell yeah, I'm in." You said, taking her hand as she helped you to your feet. "Keep Daryl distracted for me. I'll get Negan out."
-
It wasn't hard to sneak into Negan's cell after dark. Laura was standing outside the front door while Daryl stood on the watch platform, both of them on night shift tonight. It was easy enough to duck around the back of the building without being seen, and even easier to pick the lock on the back door.
Negan seemed surprised when you stepped inside, but also seemed to realise that you weren't meant to be here, so he remained silent not wanting to alert Laura to someone else being inside.
You didn't say anything as you walked up to the door of his cell and picked the lock, Negan's eyes watching you intently before you opened the door and motioned for him to follow you. Negan hesitated for a second, but was quick to follow after you.
Within a few minutes, you and Negan were standing around the back of Alexandria beside the metal wall. Negan kept looking over his shoulder just waiting for someone to walk around the back of the houses and spot him, but it was the middle of the night, nobody was awake.
"You gonna tell me what we're doing?" Negan eventually asked, looking over at you.
"You're climbing this post and getting out of here." You explained, pointing to the wall. "Carol spoke with you earlier, right? She told you the plan?"
He nodded, "she did. I didn't think she was telling the truth though."
"She was. Now go."
Negan looked up at the tall wall before he glanced back over at you with a frown.
"What's gonna happen when they find out that you let me out?" He asked, and if you weren't mistaken, he actually sounded worried.
"That's not your problem, Negan. Can you do one thing for me though?"
"Name it."
"Alpha has three main men that she refers to as 'the guards'. They watch the horde during the night while the Whisperers sleep. Kill them for me."
Negan frowned slightly, "what makes those three men special?"
"They're bad men." You answered, looking away from Negan as you spoke, trying not to think about the things they had done to you while you were tied up.
"What did they do to you?" Negan asked a mixture of concern and fury lacing his voice.
"Alpha tied me up and practically gave me to them as a fucking reward. So, I need you to kill them. I don't care how you do it, I just want them dead."
Negan's expression hardened, figuring out what those men had done without you specifically saying it. But it wasn't hard to workout.
"I'm gonna kill them. I promise you that."
You lifted your gaze, looking back at him to find Negan's eyes already on you.
"Thank you. Now, get out of here." You said, not wanting to talk about this any longer.
Negan simply nodded before he began to climb the pillar of the wall, however he stopped halfway and looked back down at you.
"Be safe, okay?" He said seriously.
You smiled softly, "you too."

Summary: Classes were something new, what happens when Negan is teaching it?
It's a quick class, at least that's what Negan liked to call it. One of his men were sent to watch the wall while we gathered our supplies since unfortunately, Alexandria got overtaken by walkers. Here you were in a class with your group, learning how to survive among the saviors. We understood not to cross the man, needless to say after what went down with Glenn. You knew Negan had some rough edges, but you didn't expect the soft spot once it came to you.
It was as if he had a crush on you or sorts. He made sure you were comfortable, he said you got the second best bedroom there, next to his. He's had the most patience with you probably since you've been here. There's been countless flirting and teasing between the two of you. But what could you say? He was an attractive guy.
He was pretty cocky as well to say the least, you’ve heard some of his comments. Although he seems to have respect for them, he doesn’t have a filter for what comes out of his mouth. This room made you feel like you were back in highschool.
“Hey,” you heard a voice cut off your wandering thoughts followed by a knock against the wooden table in front of you. “Get off that cloud nine shit and come back to us, this is important for your own survival darling.” His tone was stern but not too stern. When you looked up finally, your eyes met with Negan’s which caused your cheeks to blush immediately.
“Sorry, sir.” You say with a small smirk before returning your eyes back to the board ahead of you.
“You better be. Otherwise, I just might have to give you an old fashioned punishment.” He says, giving back the same smirk as you and went back to the lesson. That was the only thing on your mind, the rest of the class. You didn’t care to look at anyone else, to see there reactions.
The class was over before you knew it, you must’ve been out of it completely. By the time you looked up there was no one but you and Negan in the room. Standing up, you were used to gathering your stuff from high school, so when your hand came in contact with the make-shift desk. You were a bit taken off guard, as well, when you turned around and came in contact with Negan’s chest.
“I need you to stay behind for a ‘sec, darlin’.” The smirk he had previously still plastered on his lips as he looked down at you, locking the door behind him. You knew exactly what he wanted, but who were you to deny him?
“Of course, sir.” Drawing out the sir a bit, a flirty tone to your voice. It’s been a while, hell you knew you were rusty. Hopefully he doesn’t catch on. When you glance towards him again, his eyes are on you. It caught you off guard a bit, his looks can definitely kill. Except for you, it looked more as if he was looking at prey. As if he was finally getting the big catch.
“Usually in this position I’d mind my p’s and q’s but you baby girl, you've made it very hard to keep quiet.”
You smirk up at him, observing his facial expressions.
“What do you mean… Sir?” You give the best innocent look you can manage.
“That. That right there is what I mean,” he’s quick to pick your body up and sit it down on his desk. Your legs being pushed apart by his legs. A quick look up to him, you notice his eyes are glazed over with lust. He caught his prey, he was going to enjoy it.
His lips capture yours, heated and rushed. He pulls away, trailing a line of kisses down your neck. Just as they’re on you, he pulls off his shirt, making a quick work of yours as well.
“Never thought this day would come, it's already far better than I imagined.” He says as his eyes trace over your half bare body, a smirk still spread across his lips.
Slowly unbuttoning his shirt, you slide it off his arms, feeling the muscles move. Knowing you probably don't have long, you begin to unbutton his jeans, sliding the zipper down. Sliding the boxers down along with them, his cock curves up towards his stomach, precum leaking from the tip.
Not wasting any time, Negan unbuttons your pants, easily sliding the zipper down and slipping his fingers in.
“Already so wet for me.” He whispers, as he takes in how well your body is responding to him. A light touch against your clit has you shivering. His fingers rubbing through your folds has you bucking your hips up for more. Yet two fingers slipping into your entrance has you a withering mess.
Wanting more you grab ahold of his hand, removing it from your jeans and sliding them off along with the panties. He seems to understand as his hands move to turn you around, one quick movement of bending you over. His cock already lining up with your entrance. His hand moves up your back, just a light touch as it follows up to your neck.
He nudges your legs apart, the tip of his cock slipping inside of you. As he slowly slides inside of you giving you time to adjust with each movement. His hand wraps around your hair, forming it into a ponytail. It doesn’t take him long to begin moving. His thrusts are quick and hard, not seeming to stop anytime soon.
You know you're going to last long, it feels like forever since you’ve had sex, well good sex. Not being able to form a sentence, only his name and moans manage to leave your lips.
“Fuck sweetheart, so damn tight.” Still not relenting on his thrusts, his balls loosely hitting the lower part of your butt, with each movement.
Not too long after you feel your stomach tighten. With one more thrust your orgasm washes over you. It only takes him a few more before he’s pulling out and you feel his cum across your back.
“Damn, gonna have to do that more often.” He says between heavy breathing, getting himself dressed again before walking out of the room. Couldn’t say you were surprised.
