You currently had both of your legs on your boyfriend's shoulders as his face was between your thighs with the sunlight peeking through the floor length windows.
This had been going on for close to a week since you were hiding out from your parents for as long as you could. You knew that you were going to have to face them sooner or later, but later was beginning to sound better and better.
After Jack had found out from his friends the truth about you as well as your family, he was obviously upset, but could understand from your point of view why you did it once you had explained everything to him and had a few days to think about. He was lowkey still upset about it, but didn’t want to let you see it since now everything was out in the open and he knew your mind was on overdrive. He had lost track of how many times you had cried about it.
You were scared shitless of what was about to happen when you went home and was putting it off for as long as you could. Of course that night even though Jack was clearly upset with you, he wanted for you to stay with him. In the back of his mind, even though he initially said that he was probably going to break up with you because you lied to him, he quickly changed his mind after hearing your explanation and the bottom line was he didn't want to be without you.
Your phone had been going off nonstop since the picture was posted and you hadn’t answered anyone. You were actually surprised that not once did your mother call you and you knew that she was pissed. But at this point, should you even care what she thought about you? Your fate was sealed anyway.
After the picture was posted the two of you were sitting across from each other in silence. You knew he was mad at you and you were trying to create a plan in your head for the both of you to get through this with no harm done, but you were coming up short.
You were always so careful when going out at night and the one time you weren't, someone snapped a photo of you.
Wanting to give your boyfriend some space (if he was still your boyfriend at that point for that matter since you didn't know) you didn’t even say anything and had gotten up to start making your way to the door but as you went to open it, you saw Jack's hand come from behind you to close it.
"Where are you going?" Jack asked from behind you and when you didn't answer him, he turned you around to face him with tears in your eyes and a trembling lip and knew they were about to fall down.
"I… just… you're my escape and my peace from everything that goes on around me and it's just why can I never do anything for myself? Why can't I do what I want? I am 27 years old, still sneaking out of my parents house to see my boyfriend. And I'm sorry for dragging you into this. I should have been honest from the beginning and I'm sorry for that.”
"Dragging me into what? I don't regret asking you to be my girlfriend so don't you think that for a second."
He wanted to be with you for the long haul and this was just something that the two of you had to face together. He was going to do his best to protect you to the best of his ability from the world and also your parents.
“Talk to me in a week and we'll see if you feel the same way.”
“The way I feel about you isn't going to go away in a week so I know that my answer is going to be the same.”
“I don't even know where to begin to fix this.”
“Let me ask you this. What exactly needs to be fixed? We're together like we want to be aren’t we? So what's the problem? You know that they already don't approve so fuck it.”
"Damn, baby it's like Niagara Falls down here." Jack said as he looked down at his fingers.
"You want a side of eggs with that?"
"HUH?"
"Pussy juice, side of eggs, that's my breakfast." You said while repeating Jack's lyrics to him and giggling.
All Jack did was smirk and laugh at you.
"Nah, I don't need the eggs. This is enough to get me full." Jack said as he grabbed your legs to pull you towards the end of the bed and you let out a yelp.
Jack then leaned down to kiss you and you immediately wrapped your arms around his neck to pull him closer to give him several more. When he finally pulled away, he began to place kisses all over your face making you laugh.
Next thing you knew, you felt him slide into you and you immediately gasped since you had been caught off guard.
He was going at a slow, even pace taking his time to give you as much pleasure as possible to take your mind off of everything going on around you.
You then wrapped your left leg around him wanting for him to get as deep as he possibly could.
You were now laying on Jack's chest as his arm was wrapped around you in a comfortable silence and Jack was the one to break it.
"Baby, as much as I want to, we can't hide out in my condo forever. I have to promote this album and I've already done what I could to push it back for a week to make sure you were okay.”
"I know and I appreciate you for doing that for me because you definitely didn't have to. I'm not okay in the slightest, but I know that I just have to deal.”
"I would do anything for you. You know that. And I'm going to make sure you get to the point where you are okay." Jack replied as he leaned down to kiss your forehead.
"I just… don't want to face them. My mother more than anyone else."
"I don't like how she has it where you're actually scared of her."
“I… it's not the fact that I'm scared of her. I just know that no matter how perfect I try to be, that it will never please her and that I'm always going to fall short. All of my siblings don't care for me either except my big sister Eden. Because I'm the only one that will somewhat challenge my parents. It's always been this way.”
“Just know that I only want the best for you and want you to be happy. You deserve that and not be stressed out all the time over what someone else might think about you.”
“I know.” You quietly answered, but your mind was still running a mile a minute.
“You think that you'll be okay when I leave later tonight? I'd rather you come with me. I just don't want to leave you here with them.”
“I don't really have a choice. I have to face them sooner or later. Even if I don't want to.”
“Look if anything happens, anything at all. Say the word and I'll come and get you.” Jack said as he moved a curl out of your face and lightly kissed your nose.
“You're going to be busy and the last thing I want to be is a distraction.”
“Baby, I can promise that you won't be. I would rather have you with me instead of people who upset you on a daily basis. Because how is that a good thing? You don't need to be in that type of environment.” Jack replied as he started playing with the bracelet that graced your wrist that he gifted you.
“She's probably never going to let me sing again.” You quietly said as you felt tears prick the corners of your eyes.
“Why do you need her permission to do it? Just because she might not want you to sing there, doesn't mean you have to stop altogether. Still not over how amazing your voice is and how well you hid that from me.”
“Trust me, it wasn't easy.” You said while laughing.
“No more secrets. Promise?”
“Promise.”
After you had helped Jack pack all of his things and the two of you decided to have a quick dinner together, it was time for you to make your way back home as much as you didn't want to while Jack was set to go to New York.
He had given you several kisses, but you were still holding onto him for dear life not wanting to let him go just yet.
“You know you can come with me. The offer still stands. Because now you are definitely stalling.” He said while looking down at you. Jack knew your mind was made up, but he didn't want you going back there at all. If your mom is as bad as you had told him, he wanted to keep you far away from her.
“As much as I want to, I have to do this. I don't want to drag it out longer.”
“Tell me when you get there and what happens when you two talk. I just have a strong feeling that you are about to call me in tears and that is the last thing that I want. If I have to protect you from your own family, then so be it.”
“It might go better than we think.” You said trying to reassure him.
“Babe, are you trying to convince me or yourself?”
“Hmm, maybe both? But I promise to call if something happens.”
Wearing one of Jack's hoodies and a pair of your black leggings, it was around 10 at night once you had slipped through the entrance to your part of the house.
Once in your bedroom, you turned on the light to see your big sister Eden once again staring at you.
“For future reference, if you are trying to hide out with your boyfriend, turn off your location. Even though you only share it with me.”
“You have got to stop sneaking up on me, Eden!”
“Not a chance. I let you have your fun but now I'm about to yell but this is only out of love and concern.”
You simply nodded as you took a seat next to her on your bed.
“Now you know you can tell me anything and I will never hold it against you. Being in this family is hard enough and you are my baby sister. If you would have come to me, I would have helped you to tell them.”
“I… so many times I wanted to. But I was just scared. He's really important to me and I didn't want anyone or anything to ruin it. Not that I think you would, but everyone else. What did they say when they found out?”
“That was the first time I actually heard your mother cuss if that explains anything. And she was on Google looking him up for about two hours.”  Eden replied and you couldn't help but to laugh.
“And dad?”
“He simply shrugged and said if she's happy, then I'm fine with it.”
“I figured that he would be the one to say that.”
“And she was also upset that you have been M.I.A. obviously.”
“Why does she need to know my every move? She needs to get over herself.”
“You let me know when that happens. Anyway, tell me EVERYTHING. He's really cute and I'm definitely not surprised you two are together. A good match if I do say so myself.”
“Well we met at Taylor's birthday party a while ago and we've been talking ever since. It was only recently that he asked me to be his girlfriend. I've already met his parents and his brother and I absolutely adore them. His friends I only met at the album release party, but so far so good. He's funny, sweet, caring, always putting my feelings into consideration and I just love being around him. I know that you and dad would like him. I really don't care about anyone else.”
“And you shouldn't. He makes you happy and that's the important part and all that matters. As long as he is treating you right, we won't have a problem. Now did you even tell him about…?”
“No, he didn't know and I believe his friends told him and explained it to him which he was mad about and I can understand that. I wasn't honest and I should have been. He forgave me and we're just moving forward. I told him everything including how I know she hates me.”
“I can only imagine the look on his face. And I don't think she hates you. She hates that she can't control you.”
“Yeah, and then the picture didn't help.”
“Did anyone else know about you two? Perhaps, Tania?” Eden asked while eyeing you.
“Yes and she was sworn to secrecy. Just her and no one else.”
“Soooo, when can I meet him?”
“Well he's going to be busy promoting his album, but I'm sure if I bring it up he'll make time for it. I talk to him about you all the time.”
“I don't think I've ever seen you this happy and I hope the two of you stay together for the long haul.”
As Jack was sitting on the plane and playing with his phone, Urban came and sat next to him and simply eyed him.
“Uh, Urb? Can I help you?” Jack asked as he laughed.
“Are you and Y/N okay? Did she talk to her parents yet?”
“We're fine but not yet. She said she would tell me when it happened. I already told her that I feel like she's going to call me in tears. I wanted her to come with me but she said that she just wanted to get it over with.”
“I hope she'll be okay. It seems like she's never been able to do what she wants.”
“She hasn't. But Neelam told us both not to say anything about it for now hoping that it would eventually blow over. The last thing I wanted to do was leave her in Louisville, but her mind was made up.”
“If her mother is as bad as she claims her to be, I know that this conversation that they are supposed to have is not going to go over well.”
“I'm literally just waiting for her to call me.”
“I wonder what they'll even say to her, I mean she's a whole adult.”
“And from the way that she talks about her, that clearly doesn't matter. She still looks at her like she's a little kid and it doesn't help that she's the youngest either.” Jack replied while shaking his head.
“I know she means a lot to you from the way that you talk about her.”
“She does, I'm just trying to let her see that it's okay to do what makes you happy and to not care what anyone else thinks about it.”
You and Eden hid out in your room until the next morning when you figured that it was time to face her. After taking a shower, you slipped on a yellow sundress along with white wedge sandals and straightened your hair. It was time for breakfast, so you started making your way towards the dining room.
Once you entered the room, all eyes were on you as you took your respective seat in between Eden and Grace. Eden sent you a soft smile while Grace rolled her eyes at you. Matthew and Malachi simply exchanged glances with each other along with their spouses as your mother was burning a hole into you with her gaze. Your dad was simply reading his morning paper as he always did and sent you a small smile. You knew when it came down to it, the only people that you could truly count on in your family was your dad and Eden.
As the breakfast spread was placed on the table, your mother was the first to speak.
“Y/N, you have some nerve showing back up here like you didn't do anything.”
“I haven't done anything wrong and the last time I checked, I lived here.” You responded while piling your plate high with eggs, hash browns, and fruit.
“You call a night on the town with a well known rapper nothing? Where people saw the two of you together?”
“Adalaide….” Your father said to your mother in a warning tone, but she simply brushed him off.
“When you leave this house, you are representing this family, and so far this week, you have been nothing but an embarrassment.”
“That's your opinion and you're entitled to it. I am a grown woman who can do anything she wants and I don't need your approval. I have been under your thumb since the day I was born and have been in control of how I dress, who I talk to, my hair, my makeup, and my career path. It's time that I take control of my life without having you criticizing me.”
"No daughter of mine is going to serve the Lord and then be spreading her legs wide open for her rapper boyfriend. And don't even lie and say that you haven't. You look like the type to give it up to any man who ever glanced your way. And of course you think he loves you because he's told you exactly what you want to hear!"
“MOM!” Eden exclaimed while looking at her in disbelief but all she did was take a sip of her tea.
"You don't even know him!"
"I know enough and I don't care to have you in my sight any longer. It's clear that you have chosen him over your family. So do me a favor and get out. Leave your house key on the table in the foyer. If he loves you so much as you claim he does, go live with him. And I for damn sure better not see you at my church singing for the Lord on Sunday."
“Adalaide, that's enough! If that's who she loves, who are we to stop it? We want all of our children happy and he obviously makes her happy." Your dad said while shaking his head at her.
“Then she can go and be happy with him and not be under my roof taking up space.”
“Now that's taking it a little too far.” You heard Grace say which you were surprised by.
“She's literally not hurting anyone and always did what you wanted her to do. Why are you ruining the one thing she's done for herself?” Your oldest brother Malachi asked and she rolled her eyes.
“What I said still stands. I want her out and if all of you have a problem with it, you can go and follow her. You better be out of my house by midnight and don't bother showing your face here or at church ever again. As far as I'm concerned, I only have two daughters now.”
A collective gasp was heard at the table, and all you could do was laugh to yourself before saying anything.
“Y/N, don't you get up from this table. You are a part of this family as much as anyone else.”
“It's okay, dad. Trust me, it is. I know how she feels about me.”
“This is entirely uncalled for.” Matthew said while looking at your mother who waa unfazed. You simply turned towards her before speaking.
“Keep in mind what you just told me and don't you dare crawl back to me later and try to apologize. If you want me out, fine. The next time I see you will be at your fucking funeral and not a moment sooner. I'll prove to you that I never needed someone like you in my life to begin with.”
“Y/N!” Grace called after you as you pushed yourself away from the table and made your way into the direction of your room.
You held your head high and was determined not to let the tears fall. You finally stood up to her and didn't regret saying what was on your mind.
Grabbing your phone, you facetimed Jack who immediately answered and could tell that something was wrong from the look on your face.
“Baby….”
“She literally just disowned me.”

“You hate me. You hate me and want me to die.”
Aaron can tell she wants to be deadpan but the gasps give it away. He’s hopelessly endeared but he sight of her, her little vest zip up that he’d gotten for her for their three mont-anniversary. He tries to be courteous like that, remembering the months. It’s not like he forgets.
She looks adorable, her bottom lip jutting out into an involuntary pout, her expressive brows pinched into frustration. Her hair is in a claw clip, and she’s still worn the lipstick she loves in flagrant disregard of good sense. That’s my girl, he thinks to himself.
“I’d like to think you know me well enough to know that I wouldn’t do that,” he replies, smiling.
“There’s nothing else this could be!” she says, finally touching the bench. They’d done one lap. “You’re a sadist, Agent Hotchner. Someone should investigate you.”
It’s actually quite comical, how she leans down and holds the arm of her bench,  and catches her breath. He feels light in a way he hasn’t in a long time. There’s now ay she could know this- he hasn’t told her, likes to meet her in her lightness and sweetness when he can- but this past week has been punishing. She’s been the highlight of it, greeting him at his home with a bright smile and a book for Jack. He’d felt an immense gratefulness, for her attention and her affection. How rare is it, for someone like Aaron to be cherished like this?
“Sweetheart,” he says, warmth dripping from his tone, “I swear to you I only am looking for your health.”
She turns around to be facing him, and despite the fact he’s sure it’s not the most sensory pleasant experience, she wraps her arms around his neck. He returns in kind, wrapping her in his strong arms. It’s nice, the feeling of enveloping her.
“You’re lucky you’re cute, Hotchner.”
He’s very, very lucky indeed.

It Wasn't Easy to be Happy for You
~It Wasn't Easy to Be Happy for You by The Lumineers~
Author's Note: pain stacking angst :) as always italics are flashbacks Summary: Luke gets broken up with and Jack is a good brother Warnings: cursing, cheating, sad!Luke Word Count: 1,493 Luke Hughes x fm!reader
Tumblr media
It had been three weeks since they had broken up. The days dragged on and the sunshine felt a bit cold as the days progressed. It wasn’t messy, there were no negative feelings towards one another. At least that’s what he told himself.
Luke was still madly in love with her. He woke up thinking about her, he went to bed thinking about her. He wanted to be with her. But life came in the way. He had to move to New Jersey and she stayed in Michigan.
But she ended things, for lack of better terms.
She sent the text five minutes ago asking if they could FaceTime. He had a feeling as to what it was about, which is why he was avoiding calling her. The girl he’s been with for almost two years, the person he thought he was going to marry. The person he was in love with despite being hundreds of miles away.
He clenched his jaw as he propped his phone up against the headboard of his bed. He scooted backwards running his fingers through his hair. Pulling his lips between his teeth he pressed her contact and began calling her.
It was a good night for Jack to be out with a few of the guys on the team. Luke was supposed to join them but this needed to come first.
She answered after four rings. Instead of being greeted with her usual wide smile, she was crying. He didn’t panic, he took a deep breath. “What’s going on, Love?” he asked as he ran his hand through his hair.
She shook her head as she wiped her hands over her cheeks, “Don’t call me that,” she said shaking her head, “I don’t deserve it,”
Luke furrowed his eyebrows as he licked his lips, “What do you mean?” he asked.
Y/N tilted her head back, wiping more tears leaving her eyes. She was glancing off of FaceTime as she took a deep breath. “We need to break up, Luke, I can’t do this anymore,”
His eyes widened as he scooted towards the phone as if he would be able to touch her through the screen. “I know the distance is hard, Baby but we can’t just give up on us,” he expressed, blinking his eyes rapidly, “Not after everything we’ve been through,” he said his voice cracking slightly as his spoke.
She shook her head as a sob left her throat, “Luke, I can’t say it, please don’t make me say it,” she let out.
“Say what, Y/N?” he pleated but she wouldn’t even look at her phone. He ran his tongue over his bottom lip as he nodded slowly as the idea popped into his head. The idea as to why she was in hysterics. He nodded as he clenched his jaw, “Did you-” he took a deep breath.
“God, Luke no! I would never!” she defended.
“Then what don’t you want to say? Y/N!” he begged.
“It’s awful, Luke,”
“If it’s awful I wanna hear it,” he said as rested his hands on his legs. He sniffled as he kept his gaze on his phone screen watching her body language.
She remained silent for a few seconds as she finally looked towards Luke through the phone screen. He was holding back every emotion he was feeling. Luke was always the strong one in the relationship, always keeping everything inside. She tilted her head back again as she swallowed hard.
“I think-I think I’m-” she took another deep shaky breath, “I love you, Luke, but I don’t think I’m in love with you anymore,” she said as she dropped her gaze towards her lap. She wiped her tears on her cheek.
He shut his eyes as he clenched his jaw hard. She was right, it was awful to hear.
“Is it-is it uh from the distance? I know we haven’t seen each other in months but-”
“I think it started that way but I don’t know, Luke, it’s just too much,” she let out. He nodded his head as he pressed his lips together hard.
“Okay,” he let out while nodding slowly, “Okay,” he let out again, his voice cracking.
“Luke,” she let out.
“No, it’s okay-” he cleared his throat as he took a hold of his phone and ended the call. He dropped his phone on the mattress as his eyes welled up in tears. He stood up from the bed desperate to take a shower and hide every emotion creeping through his body. The tears were desperate to leave his eyes.
While he stepped out of his bedroom, Jack was sitting on the couch. “Luke, you still want to come out with us? I’m leaving here in a-” Jack trailed off as he watched Luke wipe his hannds on his eyes, “Are you okay?” he questioned.
Luke clenched his jaw as he shook his head, he ran his hand over his chin. “Y/N broke up with me,” he let out his voice cracking.
“What? Seriously?” Jack asked, standing up from his seat on the couch.
It was the three longest weeks of his life. The only part of his life that wasn’t lacking was his hockey. Weirdly, the overwhelming feeling of heartbreak propelled his skills. He was frustrated and angry and it helped him play some of the best hockey of his life.
It was easier to be pissed off with his opponents instead of Y/N. He hated being angry with her.
But now, he was laying in a hotel room by himself staring at Y/N’s recent Instagram post. Her recent Instagram post with her new boyfriend. There were ten photos that he was able to stare at. Overanalyzing every detail of each photo. She was cozy, too cozy for only being together a few weeks.
He stared towards her smile and how different she looked only three weeks ago. They still followed each other, so she knew he was going to see it. It was as if she did it on purpose. He took a deep breath as he stared towards the way his lips were pressing against her jawline. Just like he used to.
His eyes scanned the caption multiple times, it was lyrics from a Taylor Swift song he didn’t know.
He swiped towards her next photo seeing it during a concert she had gone to about a month before they broke up. They were posing together, his hand draped along her lower back, his lips pressed against her neck.
He’s looked at the photo multiple times but it only just clicked. They were still together when that photo was taken. They were still together when he was touching her like that. They were still together and she lied. She lied.
“Fuck,” he muttered as there was loud knocks slamming against his hotel door. He groaned as he tossed his phone onto the mattress before he walked towards the door. He pulled it open as he walked away at the same time.
“Did you open Instagram?” Jack asked as he shoved his way into the hotel room.
“Yup,” he said plainly as he started pacing in the small hotel room.
“You’re spiralling,” Jack let out simply.
“Not spiralling,” he fought back as he took a hold of his phone and threw it across the hotel room. It hit the front door and fell to the ground. Luke didn’t care if there was any damage to it.
“Dude,” Jack said as he watched Luke reach for his jacket and beanie that were lying on the chair beside his bed.
Luke stopped short right at the chair as he looked towards Jack.
“She was fucking cheating on me and fucking lied to me about it! She looked at me and lied!” he shouted as he began to put on his jacket and his beanie.
“What are you doing?” Jack asked as he tried to pull Luke back towards him. Luke pulled his arm away as he continued towards the door.
“Going on a walk,” he muttered as he walked towards the door.
“No, dude-”
“I was trying to be happy for her! She wanted out! I didn’t argue it! Everything that I have ever wanted for her was for her to be happy!” he shouted, his eyes welling up in tears.
“If being happy is being with someone else, I could fucking accept that! I can’t fucking accept the fact that she was doing it while I was hundreds of miles away! I can’t just sit here and let her flaunt the guy she cheated on me with!” Luke shouted, staring into Jack’s eyes.
Jack nodded his head, “Alright,” he muttered, “Let’s get my jacket and we can go,” Jack said as he walked closer to Luke.
“I don’t need you to go with me,”
“I know but you’ve never been to Seattle, let me show you around,” Jack offered giving him a sympathetic smile.

Everybody Wants To Rule The World
Chapter One - Criminal
Oscar Piastri worked for a criminal organisation. It wasn't the life he wanted, wasn't the life he had chosen for himself. But, like those before him, he didn't have any other choice.
He was just a rookie in the Verstappen organisation. He got stuck with the shitty jobs, like watching over Verstappens latest intake, a petty criminal who makes stealing cars look hot.
1.9K
Warnings: Mentions of drugs
Series Masterlist
Tumblr media
In the early hours of the morning, when the sun was painting the sky of the city pink, Alex Albon and Esteban Ocon had the biggest bag of cocaine either of them had ever seen. The two rarely delt with narcotics for their boss, but tonight he had a special job for the two of them.
Alex kept watch as Esteban, whose body was longer and thinner, worked his way beneath the car. They used the car jack to raise it slightly as Esteban got beneath and stuck the cocaine to the bottom of the car.
Who did this car belong to? Well that doesn't matter. Not for now, anyway.
Giggling, the two took off, driving back to their bosses head quarters.
In this same part of the city, a girl was running from the blue and red flashing lights. That was the problem when you steal cars, you always have to be on the lookout for the polite.
Y/N L/N happened upon this car with the cocaine stuck to the bottom of it. He had maybe a minute before the police car caught up to her. A minute to get the car open and a minute to drive away.
She got the car open easily. It was old, a classic. The owner would be sad to see it go, but that wasn't something she could afford to think about.
Pulling her hat from her head she worked about hot wiring the car and tuned the radio to her liking. Twenty five seconds until the police caught up with her.
The radio was also old, as old as the car. It was going to take her some time before she found the right station.
At least, the end of Rick Astleys 'Never Gonna Give You Up' played and Tears For Fears 'Everybody Wants to Rule The World' began. Y/N grinned as she put the car into gear and floored it, heading towards the outskirts of the city.
She had to lose the cops before she returned to her boss. If she brought the police to his door, she'd never hear the end of it. Or her blood would be spilt. There was no telling.
Y/N managed to get away from the cops. Usually they'd give up and she could drive away, unscathed. But tonight was different. Tonight they weren't giving up.
"Fucking pigs," she muttered as she turned down an alleyway, trying to conceal herself and the car. She cringed as its sides scraped against the walls of the buildings it was squashed between. At least it would be harder to identify now.
But she had fucked it. She went to turn left down the alleyway, only to find herself blocked by a wall. A fucking wall. She was done for, screwed, and in so much trouble.
The police cars pulled in behind her. They had the sense not to follow her down the alleyway and get themselves stuck. Instead, they pulled out their guns and pointed them at the girl in the car, demanding she exit the vehicle.
Y/N wound down the car window. "I can't get the door open!" She called, hoping the police heard her. "So I'm going to break the back window and climb out that way, okay?"
She hasn't a hardened criminal, not in the way that mattered. She'd never had a run in with the police before and she didn't quite know what to do. So, she did as her father had taught her and remained calm and collected. Show them you mean no harm and they won't harm you.
She waited for confirmation from the police office closest to the car before climbing into the back of the car and kicking at the back window. It was no easy task, getting the back window separated from the car. It was a few good kicked before the sheet of glass fell away, allowing her to climb from the car with her hands up.
She was cuffed, placed in the back of a police car and taken to the station while the owner of the car was contacted. They took the cocaine from the car and drove Y/N to the station.
"There's something wrong with your car," she tried to say to the police officers, able to tell from the sound alone. But they weren't having any of it. They shut her up and continued driving to the station.
At the station they placed her in the holding cell. Prostitutes and other criminals surrounded her as she sat on the bench and closed her eyes. She just stole a car, she'd be out of here in no time.
But suddenly a police officer called her name. She opened her eyes and walked over to the door of the holding cell, walking past the petty thieves and flashers.
An officer grabbed her arm and marched her over to his desk. He pushed her into a chair and cuffed her hand to the arm. "So," he began as he sat on the other side of the desk. "Where did you get the coke?"
"Coke?" Y/N asked as she tried sit forward.
The officer let out a sigh. "You know, blow, bump, nose candy, sniff, snow, white rock."
"Hey now, I don't fuck with drugs," she called, slumping back in the chair. "If there was cocaine on that car, it was there before I got to it," she said.
The officer let out another sigh. He uncuffed her from the chair and marched her back to the holding cell. He threw her in locking the door behind her. If she wasn't going to talk, she could rot in there.
But she wasn't going to rot in there. The arresting officer suddenly got a phone call that he rushed to answer. The number was withheld and he knew exactly who it was.
The voice on the other end of the phone was soft, the accent unrecognisable. The voice maybe have been soft, but the officer still did exactly what he said.
"Yes, sir," he said, listening to the person. "Right away, sir."
The person on the other end of the phone hung up and the officer stretched out his limbs. This was maybe his least favourite part of the job, having to let the criminals go because the most powerful man in the city commanded it.
The officer opened the holding cell and grabbed a hold of the girl he had just arrested. He held her arm, his grip bruising as he dragged her out of the holding cell. "Your charges have been taken care of," he grumbled as he marched her out out the precinct, around to the back.
Still holding her arm, he placed two fingers in his mouth and whistled.
A black van, which had previously been inconspicuously parked in the corner of the parking lot, rumbled to life. The engine was old, clearly, but it sounded amazing. The door slid open and three men, all in pristine suits jumped out. One strode over, a black sack in his hands.
The two others circled around her, taking her from the officer. The officer said nothing and quickly rushed back inside. The two men grabbed her hands and wormed together to tie them behind her back. The bindings were tight, cutting into her skin. But she knew better then to panic.
"Sorry about this," said the third man, standing in front of her. Y/N had just about enough time to study his face, his dark eyes, the moles on his face, his round cheeks ans pillowy lips. His hair, which parted down the middle, soft and fluffy and shiny.
She shrugged her shoulders and he placed the bag over her head.
There was no point fighting them as they walked her to the van, she'd seen their guns the moment they'd jumped out of the van. The two that had tied her hands sat behind her as the pretty one, the one who had placed the bag over her head climbed into the driver's seat.
He always drove, no matter the job. It was what he loved, what he was good at, what kept him calm.
The drive wasn't very long. Or, it hadn't seemed long to the captive, who was trying her best to keep time using the songs playing on the radio. They weren't out of the city, or, they weren't very far outside of it.
"Oh, turn this one up," she said, her words muffled, and the driver did just that, twisting the knob attached to the radio to turn up the volume.
Before too long the driver killed the engine and the sliding door to the van was thrown open. Y/N was dragged to her feet, one man holding each arm, and walked forward. She had no idea where she was or where she was going. The only indicator that she had walked into a building was the stale air, the buzz of the lights overhead and the feeling of the floor beneath her feet. These were the sorts of things you had to learn to survive.
She went into a room, her feet hitting the metal threshold strip that sat between rooms, and was sat in a chair.
The bindings were pulled from her hands and the bag from her head. She blinked quickly, the light flooding into her eyes all too bright.
But then she looked around, looking at the art on the walls surrounding her, at the table in front of her, at the man on the other side of that table.
She knew who she was in an instant, her heart pounding in her chest. His hair was a dirty blonde, combed back out of his face, and the beginnings of a beard surrounded his mouth. His eyes were a little far apart, but it didn't look bad on him. No, he was a very handsome man. Dangerous and terrifying, but handsome.
"You stole from me." That was the first thing his said.
Y/N couldn't stop her eyes from going wide. Him. She wasn't supposed to steal from him. The one rule she had for this job was don't steal from him. If she had known the car belonged to him, she would have run in the other direction. But it was too late now.
"I'm impressed. Nobody has ever had the balls to steal from me before. What makes you different?" He leaned forward, resting his chin on his knuckles. "
Y/N went to push her chair back, but a hand, covered in rings, settled on her shoulder and squeezed. She didn't dare turn to see who was behind her. "I swear, I didn't know it was you're car."
"Don't you know stealing is wrong?" The man in front of her narrowed his eyes. "As soon as the car was on the move, we watched you. That was a pretty good drive, until you fucked up."
Verstappen sat up a little straighter. He sat back and waited, waited for her to say something.
Truth be told, Y/N was a little lost for words. What was he playing at? Did he know who she was?
Suddenly, Verstappen stood up. He signalled for her to stand up and the person behind her pulled her to her feet and pushed her after his boss.
They took her through the halls of a house, with the same amount of pretty art. Verstappen didn't so much as glance at the art as they walked past, and she had a feeling that it wasn't his taste. The man behind her kept his ringed hand on her shoulder as he steered her after Verstappen.
They walked her into a garage and stopped her in the doorway. "Okay," said Verstappen, gesturing to the plethora of cars in front of him. They were all gorgeous cars, better than anything Y/N had ever stolen before. Super cars, classic cars, Verstappen had them all.
"Show me what you got."

Matching PJs
Tumblr media
prompt: matching pjs w/ Quinn and Jack and Luke chirp the hell out of him
word count: 1,653
“Oh Quinny,” I yell into the house excited to show him what I found shopping today. I hear Ellen laugh behind me, she had her doubts about the gift but I knew it would work out. “Living room,” he replies. Walking into the room I see him and Jim sitting on the couch watching some highlights from one of his games. I skip over to him and sit on the arm of the couch next to him. I smile down at him and kiss his cheek.
“What did you do,” his voice was filled with dread. Ellen had joined us by now and cuddled up into Jim’s side. The two looked over at us and laughed at how Quinn was acting. Everyone saw Quinn as a grump who hated anything remotely fun. We all saw a different side of him though. He was really a big softie when it came to the people he loved most. Ellen and Jim had told me several times that they had never seen him happier, and my heart melted at that moment.
“Quit acting like you won’t love whatever she has. That girl could give you a rock and you’d treat it like the Stanley Cup,” Jim joked at his oldest who just simply blushed and took the bag from my hands. We all just laughed at him and I sat impatiently waiting for his reaction. He slowly pulled out the clothes I picked out for him. I was bouncing with excitement. He pulled out the black long-sleeve and cut a look at me.
“Thank you,” he said confused as to why I was acting this way over a plain shirt. I rolled my eyes,” keep going.” He dug a little deeper and he knew what it was as soon as he touched it. A small smile crept its way onto his face. He pulled out a pair of fuzzy pajama bottoms covered with cute Halloween designs. “I got a matching pair,” I say pulling mine from the bag I had sitting on the floor next to me. He looked up at me with nothing but love in his eyes. “I love them. Thank you, baby,” he says grabbing my hand and giving it a small kiss.
Jim starts laughing at him, and then Ellen clears her throat. “Don’t start laughing now. Y/n was pretty convincing and I bought us a pair too,” she laughed throwing a bag on his lap. Quinn let out the loudest laugh and I quickly joined them. Jim had the funniest expression on his face. “Aw Dad, you are gonna look so cute,” Quinn picked at his dad, giving him teasing right back like he had done his son five minutes earlier. When he started to protest I just pulled a pleading look and he sighed. “That girl could sell ice to a polar bear,” he grumbles ruffling my hair and taking his pants with him.
Hours later Quinn and I had changed into our pjs and were setting up a movie night in the living room. “Okay, so we have popcorn, candy, blankets, and a stack of Halloween movies ready. I think we are good to go,” I smile looking over at him. He walks over and places his hands around my waist. I quickly throw mine around his neck. “You forgot the most important thing,” his voice rasps. I raise my eyebrows,” Oh yeah. What’s that?” He smiled down at me and leaned in close. “Our adorable matching pants,” he said leaning down and kissing my lips.
I smile into the kiss and he pinches my sides and I squeal pulling away. “Jerk,” I laugh stepping back from him. A playful look overcomes his face and he steps towards me. I laugh and try to run away from him but he catches me quickly. He puts his face into my neck and I lean back into him. Our quiet moment of bliss is interrupted by Jack yelling into the house followed by the door shutting.
“You guys will never believe what mom got dad to wear,” Jack started and stopped seeing Quinn and me. “No fucking way,” he doubled over laughing. “What are you laughing at,” Luke said finally walking into the room followed by Dylan. Luke raises his eyebrows at us and joins his brother in laughing. Quinn separates from me and throws a pillow at them. “Yeah yeah yeah, laugh it up,” he says sitting down on the couch pulling me down with him. The three boys follow suit and join us in the living room. “I cannot believe you actually put that shit on,” Jack laughs sitting down in the recliner next to the couch. Quinn just pulled me closer and I nuzzled into his side.
“You are just jealous that I have someone to wear them with and you don’t” Quinn shrugs grabbing the remote and trying to play the first movie but Luke snatches it and pauses it. “You look like a freaking dork Q,” Luke says grabbing a handful of popcorn. I shove him with my foot. “No popcorn for people who make fun of my pjs,” I joke snatching the bowl away. “Ignore them. I personally think you guys look adorable. You guys are literally couple goals. I wish I had someone to wear those with,” Dylan smiles over at us from the other recliner.
I grin over at the Duke boy and jump up from my spot on the couch. I dash to our room and grab the bag of extra bottoms that I bought for the three of them. I run back and throw a pair at Dyl. “I got you a pair too,” I say smiling at him. “No you fucking didn’t. Thank you Y/n! This means so much to me,” he says standing and pulling me into a hug. I return the hug and pull away from him and look at the two younger Hughes brothers.
“I bought you guys some too. But I can just return them tomorrow,” I sadly smile at the two of them and sit back on the couch in between my boyfriend and Luke. I lean over and gently grab the remote from the youngest boy and play the first movie. I let Quinn pick first and he chose Halloweentown. I nuzzled deeper into his side and focused on the movie. I tried to ignore the glances from the guys. I knew it wasn’t everyone’s thing, but I just wanted them to feel included.
After the movie ended I looked over and saw the popcorn bowls were empty. “I’m gonna go fill these up. Dylan you can pick the next movie,” I smile over at him pasing him the remote. I go into the kitchen and start the microwave popping more. In the living room, Quinn reaches over and slaps Jack’s thigh while Dylan punches Luke’s arm. “Ow, what was that for,” both boys whine. “That was uncalled for guys,” Dylan says scrolling through the movies and finally landing on Hocus Pocus. “Okay, you don’t have to say anything. I feel shitty enough,” Luke says leaning back into the couch. “She just wanted all of you to not feel left out. She knew it was a stupid coupley thing but she told Mom she would never want you guys to feel excluded so she grabbed five pairs of the pants today,” Quinn grumbled shooting them both a look.
Quinn joined me in the kitchen wrapping his arms around my waist. “Hey baby,” he says into my neck before placing a small kiss there. “Hey Quinny,” I smile turning around and kissing him before pulling away and grabbing the popcorn out of the microwave. I pour the bags into several bowls for everyone. “You know this would go faster if you let go right,” I laugh dragging him along with me. “Yes I do,” he smiles and his grip tightens around me. I laugh at him and turn to face him once again.
“I’m sorry baby,” he frowns looking down at me. I shrug my shoulders. “It’s okay. Really I swear. I just know they miss you during the season and I wanted to do something for everyone not just us,” I say standing on my tiptoes to kiss his nose. His eyes crinkle and he smiles at me. “We should do to the living room. Because if we don’t go now I’m gonna throw you over my shoulder and say forget them carrying you to our room,” he whispers and my cheeks flush. “Quinn,” I whine leaning my head down to lay it on his chest. It vibrates with his laughter.
I carry two bowls back into the room while Quinn grabs the other three. “Where did the boys go,” I ask Dylan who just shrugs and a small smile. When I go to ask another question the two brothers come into the room matching the three of us. “You guys didn’t have to do that you know,” I can’t help control the smile on my face. “Y/n, I am really sorry for laughing and cracking on you. I really appreciate you included us,” Luke says wrapping his arms around me in a sweet hug. Jack is standing there behind him smiling and waiting for his turn. When Luke pulls away Jack quickly replaces him.
“We couldn’t ask for a better person to love our brother. And I can’t thank you enough for loving us too Y/n/n,” Jack steps back and smiles at me. “You guys,” I say tearing up and smiling at them. “I want a hug too,” Dylan whines and I laugh wrapping him up in one too. We all settle in and start the movie. “You know Dad was right,” Quinn whispers into my hair. I hum asking him what he was talking about. “You really could talk anyone into anything,” he laughs. I smile over at him and shrug my shoulders.

Two's company, three's a crowd☆—
Request: Quinn and Honey find out they are pregnant with Maeve.
Ahhhh I'm in love with this 🤭
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Au Masterlist!!
Jack's girlfriend placed baby Weston right into Quinn's arms, a soft smile on the man's face as he held the little bundle of joy close to his chest. "He's beautiful J," Honey whispered, teary-eyed at how fatherly Jack looked as he began to tear up at Hun's comment.
The woman admired the intimate scenery in front of her, a baby in Quinn's arms and a misting of tears in his eyes as he held his godson for the first time.
The moment Honey and Quinn made it to their own room in the Lake House Honey sat her husband down on the edge of the bed. A serious look in her eyes as she began, "I'm about to throw an idea out into the open, if you're not on the same page that's fine, just think about it." "You wanna have another baby?" Quinn mused with a grin as he leaned back onto his elbows as Honey smiled shyly. "Sooo badly," she said finally sitting down next to him on the mattress, "my babies aren't babies anymore, and you were holding Weston and I missed that," she watched as Quinn smirked at her, her hands running through his curls as he closed his eyes contently at the feeling.
Quinn pretended to think for a second as his wife waited eagerly for his response, "I'll have as many babies as your heart desires," he grinned as she smacked him in the arm and then pressed a slow kiss to his lips. "I think three is the perfect amount," she mumbled against his mouth as he nipped at her bottom lip.
"I think we should start trying right now," he whispered smugly, his hands running over her hips as he pulled her into his lap. A shallow breath left her lips as he trailed as many kisses along her skin as he possibly could, "your brother is still downstair with the baby," she said in a hushed tone trying to gain enough composure to pull herself off of him. "This is entirely his fault," he said in between kisses as his lips found hers once again, "shouldn't have let me hold the baby looking all sexy, he knew you'd cave," Quinn joked as he flipped her on her back as she let out a quiet squeal.
☆☆
The summer was long over and the hockey season was beginning to pick up, the kids were back in school and Honey's work was starting to pick back up. So the hopes of trying again kinda of withered away as life got busy.
That was until Honey laid in bed reading one of those cheesy romance novels that she couldn't get enough of, a tired Quinn asleep next to her, buried in the sheets with one arm wrapped around his wife's torso.
Something had felt off with Honey, she knew her body, she could feel some sort of sickness coming on as the work week came to an end, but what she didn't expect was for a little notification from her period tracker app to pop up saying she was just over three weeks late. A little gasp left her lips as she stared at her phone, "Q," she shook him gently and she got up and out of bed. "What's wrong," he sat up alert, as he stared at his wife who was making her way to the ensuite bathroom.
He followed her tiredly after coming to the realization that there was no real danger, she grinned and stood with a box in her hands. "I'm late," she said with a grin as Quinn leaned against the bathroom counter a tired smile on his face as she leaned forward and pressed a kiss to his lips, "now get out so I can take this," she shooed him back into their room and shut the door behind him. Quinn laughed at her bossy demeanour, waiting right outside the door for her to open it again. "Can you start a timer for two minutes," she said faintly through the door as she washed her hands and opened it up to see a smiling Quinn.
The two of them stood in the bathroom, her on the counter, and him in between her legs, hands on both of her thighs as they stared at the stopwatch on the phone. It was silent, not tense, but quiet.
A little under a minute left on the clock as Quinn looked up at her, "Remember the first time, in the old apartment, and I proposed to you right after I made you think I was about to leave you."
Forty-five seconds.
"I was so panicked, and then you left me crying," she mumbled, looking away from the clock to see him watching her with so much love in his eyes. "The outcome was perfect though," he whispered, "I can't believe that was almost nine years ago."
Thirty seconds left.
"We had no idea what we were doing," she reminisced as she looked back down at the clock. "I had no doubts in us." "Of course, you didn't" "I'm serious," he laughed, "we were so in love, I had no hesitations that we would figure it out," he was so serious, his tone so genuine as he spewed love-sick words, blush rising up her cheeks as his eyes landed back on the timer
Fifteen seconds.
"You think we have it figured out by now?" she asked, leaning forward to place a kiss on his brow bone as he stared in concentration. "I think we'll be just fine," he said with a little grin, "our first two are perfect, I'm sure this one will be just fine."
Five seconds.
"I love you," he looked at her as she leaned down and placed a soft kiss on his lips. "I love you so much Q," she whispered as her forehead pressed against his.
The time startled both of them as Quinn silenced it, a nervous grin on both of their faces as they stared at the test that was placed upside down on the other end of the bathroom counter. "I'll do it," she reached over the sink and grabbed the little pink stick, holding it upside down in between them. both of them saying a silent little prayer inside their heads as Honey flipped it over.
"Pregnant 2 weeks"
A gasp left her lips as she looked up at Quinn who pulled her into his chest, squeezing her so tight as she whispered about just how much she loved him in his ear. "We are having a baby," he pulled away, his hands now cupping her face as he kissed her once again, tears rolling down both of their cheeks as they shared sloppy emotional kisses, surrounded by their love for one another and their little, now complete, family.

Two Dirty Martinis and One Olive(r)
[A continuation of Oliver with a Twist 🖤]
—————
“I just miss him so much,” you sniffle, scrolling through an album simply yet effectively titled with the olive emoji and a green heart. “Do you think he knows that I’m coming home? Or do you think that he thinks he’s getting abandoned over and over again? Oh my gosh, that’s so sad,” you lament aloud, bottom lip trembling while you stare into your cat’s soulful eyes on the dim screen.
“How much has she had to drink?” Aaron murmurs to JJ as you continue pining for your fur baby and talking Emily’s ear off across the table.
“Well, none of us really ate today, and she’s had one green tea shot and one-” The blonde grimaces as you down the rest of your glass and amends, “Make that two dirty martinis.”
You pop the singular olive swimming in the last dregs of the alcohol into your mouth before your eyes grow comically wide. “I just ate my son,” you declare, your statement accompanied by a gasp.
Aaron smooths a hand over his face to resist laughing at your antics and excuses himself to get you a glass of water. Leaning against the bar while waiting for a bartender to become available, he studies the way you talk so animatedly, emphasizing your thoughts with your hands, and the way everyone around the table has an easy smile on their faces while they listen to you. This team has always felt like family, but your presence has made them complete.
He can’t help but think of his own little family of two, and he wonders how Jack would feel about a new special friend in his dad’s life. Aaron’s seen the way you interact with children on cases, and he has no doubt that you and Jack would get along exceptionally well. Plus you have a pet? His son would be elated to have a cat to-
“What can I get for you, sir?”
He’s abruptly pulled from his daydream of the two of you coming home from a case to your two-legged and four-legged sons, the back of his neck heating up as he turns to face the bartender. Clearing his throat, he requests, “Just an ice water, please. Thank you.”
Beverage in hand, Hotch overhears the last of your statement to your best friend on his return to the table, “…would be nice to come home to a man.” Emily raises an eyebrow at him over your head sleepily nestled in the crook of her neck, and he fixes her with a look that clearly reads Don’t you dare.
She dares.
“Any man?” the brunette smugly prompts.
“There is this one guy,” you confess in what you believe to be a whisper but in reality is heard clear as day by the whole table. You let out a hum and a dreamy smile spreads across your face. “He’s perfect. At least, I think so.”
Aaron focuses intently on a bead of condensation running down the glass holding your ice water, fighting the urge to confess his love for you right here and right now in front of the team. His other option, which isn’t looking entirely unfavorable, is to place the drink on the table and flee the scene.
“But he’s so dumb,” you announce with a huff of frustration, and Hotch swears the world around him comes to a dead halt with a record scratch.
Stifling a laugh at the way the man in question’s sheepish smile has immediately melted into a frown, JJ inquires, “How so, hon?”
“I mean, what’s taking him so long?” you demand. “I’m pretty cute, I think. I’m clearly single thanks to this fuckin’ job. And I’m-” You wave your hands around in front of you before clarifying your meaning, “-putting out all the signals, y’know?”
“Well, why don’t you just ask him out, mamas?” Derek offers. Your girlfriends’ heads swivel in his direction with narrowed eyes, and he shows his palms in mock deference, mumbling a placating, “Damn, okay,” around the lip of his beer bottle.
A sigh rattles out of you as if Morgan has grievously inconvenienced you before you explain, “I can’t, dummy.”
“Why not?”
Aaron can’t wait to hear this.
Your best friend rushes to cover your mouth before you say something you’ll regret when sober while Penelope and JJ jump in to change the subject, but your muffled voice escapes through Emily’s fingers anyway. “HR says fraternization between a unit chief and their agent is a big no-no,” you elaborate, stretching out the word for emphasis. Aaron’s palm is damn near frozen now from stupidly standing there holding the glass, but his feet simply won’t move. “And trust me,” you carry on, bowling over Emily’s desperate attempts to shush you, “I wanna fraternize with that man,” you declare giddily.
Aaron clears his throat to announce his presence, hoping that the dim lighting in the bar will mask his pink-tinged cheeks. You turn to see him standing there and your face splits into a wide grin, your alcohol-addled brain seemingly not connecting that he bore witness to the entirety of your confession. “Hotch!” you cry happily. “You’re back! And you brought me a water,” you sigh, reaching for the glass.
“Figured you could use it,” he mumbles quietly, pulse racing when your fingers brush as the glass exchanges hands.
You assert, “You’re the sweetest ever,” and he’d be lying if he said his heart didn’t skip a beat at that.
The girls are studiously avoiding eye contact with him while Derek is staring at him, dumbstruck, and Spencer is quietly calculating the odds of you two confessing your feelings to each other before the night is over with a small smile on his face.
Hotch finds himself really wishing Dave hadn’t turned in early tonight. Or that he, too, had embraced being a senior member of the team and gone to bed instead of celebrating closing this case over drinks.
“Y’gonna just stand there all night?” you ask sweetly before patting the spot in the booth beside you. Aaron looks to his original seat to find that JJ and Penelope, still averting their eyes, have somehow shifted to the edge of the booth, leaving virtually no room for him to squeeze back in on their side.
Equal parts hesitant and hopeful, he slides into the space next to you feeling like a schoolboy with a raging crush when his leg tingles at the spot where the warmth of your thigh seeps through his slacks.
Oblivious to his racing pulse and thoughts, you lean your elbow against the tabletop and your cheek against your palm, looking up at him with a soft smile and a simple, “Hi there.”
“Hi, Y/N,” he murmurs back, and you gasp, “You said my name!”
“I say your name all the time,” he argues.
“Nu uh,” you protest, “it’s always Y/L/N or Agent or Agent Y/L/N.”
He hums in response, unwilling to admit that your name on his lips makes his brain a little fuzzy and his hands a little shaky.
“I like when you say my name,” you confess in a whisper, and Aaron can actually feel his heart swelling when you look at him like that, like he hung all the stars in the sky just for you.
In all honesty, if that’s what you wanted, he would defy gravity to make it happen.
“How’s Ollie doing?” he asks to change the subject, needing you to talk about something that makes you happy so he can keep seeing that beautiful smile on your face.
“Oh my gosh, so good!” you squeal excitedly. “He’s so, so smart. I taught him to sit and shake before meal time. Wanna see?”
“Of course,” Aaron smiles.
With a sly grin, you negotiate, “I’ll show you my kid if you show me yours,” and Aaron’s heart is now trying to actually escape out of his chest. “You…want to see pictures of Jack?”
“Of course,” you echo back. “How could anybody not love that little cutie? He’s got your dimples, y’know.” Your concentration shifts to your phone then, looking for the video of Oliver offering you his paw while Aaron sits there with a goofy smile on his face that has those very dimples making a rare appearance.
The next morning, armed with the logic that you’ll surely need to stave off a hangover, Aaron knocks on your hotel room door and asks you out to breakfast before your flight back home.

Obsession Part II
Tumblr media
Word Count: ~2k
Warnings: older!H, age gap romance
Y/N has been on edge waiting to hear from Harry. She’s decided to let him come to her so she doesn’t text him first. But the wait is proving more difficult than she imagined. Every time her phone buzzes, she jumps, scrambling to see if he’s deigned to grace her with a text. But it’s never him. And to be fair, Y/N is being slightly dramatic because it’s only been 3 days. But still. Her mind is consumed with the memory of his lips on hers and the way his body pressed against her own. Then she lets her mind wander to fantasies. Of what might have happened if Isla hadn’t decided to come home at that very moment. A fantasy of Harry on his knees before her has her clenching in her seat and it’s then she knows that the image… the slight obsession has gotten out of hand. Because she’s in public in a coffee shop and she’s 90% sure that if she’d continued her daydream she would have moaned out loud.
“Y/N? You ok?” Jack waves a hand in front of her face and she jumps slightly.
“I’m… fine. Just thinking, sorry.”
“You’re looking pretty pale. Are you sure you’re- Isla! Hi! What are you doing here?”
Y/N jumps at the sound of the girls name, spinning in her chair to find Isla Styles behind her.
“Hi Jack, hey Y/N. Dad and I are just grabbing a coffee before we head back home. Are you still picking me up tonight Jack?”
At the realisation that Harry is in the same coffee shop, Y/N freezes, her eyes frantically scanning the space until she spots him in line ordering for both him and Isla. He looks so… good. His curls fall in a mess at his forehead and Y/N feels the urge to walk closer and run her fingers through them. Harry’s sunglasses sit snugly atop his head even though there isn’t any sun to be seen outside. He pays, moving to the side to wait for their drinks, before he takes out his phone to pass the time. Y/N simply can’t help herself.
(10:18am) Y/N: Looking pretty handsome over there stranger x
She watches as he reads it, a look of confusion taking over his features before he grins, lifting his head to look around. His smirk widens as he locks eyes with her and Y/N swallows. Eye contact with Harry is exhilarating. There’s something about the way that his green eyes stare so fiercely into hers that take her breath away. There’s something else there too… lust, Y/N thinks but it’s too early to know for sure. So she simply offers him the sweetest smile she can manage before dipping her head back down to focus on her drink. He can come to her if he likes. Jack and Isla are still caught up in their conversation, oblivious as to what is happening between the two.
Y/N plays with the paper that once made up her straw as it begins disintegrating at the bottom. She’s still focused on it, when the air shifts and she just knows he’s standing in front of her.
“Y/N. Nice to see you, what a surprise.” Harry stands in front of them all, holding two drinks. One is a sugar coma inducing whipped cream mountain with caramel sauce that he swiftly passes to Isla and the other is… black coffee.
“Black coffee? Pretty basic don’t you think Styles?” Y/N looks up at him
“What can I say? I like the classics.” He sends her a knowing smile and Y/N fights the blush that threatens to creep onto her cheeks.
“Y/N? Is it alright if Isla and I actually head out earlier than planned? I didn’t realise she would be here, so we can make the most of the day.” Jack asks.
“Dad is that ok?” Isla turns to Harry, who shrugs.
“Sorry Jack but if you take the car now, I won’t be able to get home. You’ll have to pick Isla up later.” Y/N says to Jack who rolls his eyes before muttering a ‘sorry’ to Isla.
“I can drop you home if these two want to head out?” Harry offers.
“Ok sorted, thanks Mr Styles. We’ll be back later.” Jack takes Isla’s hand and all but drags her out of the coffee shop.
“Hold on Jack wait-“ Y/N calls out, but they’re gone. She shakes her head and Harry chuckles.
“What? Don’t want to be alone with me?”
“No… It isn’t that. We just live out of your way. Sorry you’re stuck driving me home.” Y/N looks back down at her straw, which is now an unusable pile of wet paper.
“Here.” Harry passes her a new one out of his coat pocket. “And it’s not a problem. Maybe we can use this time to have that chat.”
“Do you just carry straws around?” “No… I saw yours basically breaking down from across the room so I grabbed you a new one when I was at the counter.”
“That’s… sweet.”
Harry hums in acknowledgement.
“So, you want to chat?” Y/N asks, breaking the silence.
“Mmm. Not here. Let’s go.”
He places a hand at her lower back as they move to leave the coffee shop and Y/N feels tingles run down her spine. His touch is warm and comforting, even through her clothes and she leans into it, just the smallest bit. But Harry notices, his small smirk hidden under the loop of the scarf around his neck.
Tumblr media
The ride back to Y/N’s place is silent, the low murmur of Fleetwood Mac playing through the speaker in Harry’s car. Y/N is nervous and another emotion she doesn’t quite know how to describe. She doesn’t really know why. It’s just two people talking. Isn’t it? Harry seems to know how she feels as one of his hands rests softly on her knee as he drives. Y/N decides she likes it when he touches her. She wishes he would do it more often.
Y/N busies herself with making two cups of tea, before sitting opposite to Harry on her couch.
“I wanted this to be over dinner.” Harry confesses, breaking the silence.
“I know.”
It’s silent again.
“What are we doing Y/N?” His eyes search hers for the answers to a question that neither of them know the answer to.
“I’m… I’m not sure.”
“Because there’s something here. This… magnetic attraction. I feel like I’m being pulled to you. I think about you constantly. I want to know what it would feel like to kiss you again. I want to know what it would sound like to hear you scream my name. I can’t make it stop. I can’t stop thinking about you and it’s consuming me.”
“You never texted me.”
“I know. I didn’t know what to say. This is so… real. But you’re so young, I don’t know how to handle that.”
“I don’t think my age has anything to do with it. We obviously connect in ways that aren’t just physical. I don’t have a problem with it and neither should you. If we’re going to do this we need to trust each other Harry. Ok?” She moves closer and Harry takes a breath. He shifts so their faces are inches apart.
“Ok. What do we tell Jack and Isla?”
“We don’t. Not unless this is definitely going somewhere.”
“So you’re my secret?” He smirks, cupping her cheek. “We’re each others.”
Y/N inches forward, moulding her lips to his and Harry groans at the electricity that sparks between them. He pulls her onto his lap, revelling in the feeling of her body pressed up against his chest. His hand trails slowly up her top before he pulls away slightly. Y/N grumbles in annoyance, moving to chase his lips with her own.
“Relax love. We have time. Is this ok?” He motions to his hand beneath her shirt and Y/N nods desperately.
“You don’t have to ask, do whatever you want to me, just do something.”
Harry’s lips curl into a mischievous grin as his hand finds the material of her bra.
“Consent is important darling. And you shouldn’t say things like that, or I really will take advantage. Oh… the things I want to do to you.”
His lust filled expression makes Y/N squirm in his lap as she silently begs him to keep touching her. Then… his phone rings.
The loud disturbance shocks them both out of their haze and Y/N climbs off Harry’s lap so he can reach his phone. He takes one look at the screen and his face goes cold, emotionless. He stares at the screen for a short while, as though he’s contemplating letting it ring, before standing quickly and grabbing his jacket.
“Sorry Y/N, we’re going to need to cut this short, I have to take this and handle some things.”
“Cut this short…? Harry I’m not your business partner. This isn’t-“
“Y/N, I don’t really have time to talk to you about what we are and what we’re not. I have to go, I’ll text you.” His voice is stern and Y/N flinches at his tone.
He presses a swift, barely there kiss to her cheek before racing to the door, tapping frantically at his screen as he calls the number back
“I told you not to fucking call me anymore. I can’t be…” Y/N listens to his voice fade into the distance as he walks away from the house, shutting the door behind him with a slam.
A/N: It's been a ridiculously long time - I have no excuse I'm sorry lol

I Get My Lovin’ on the Run
Pairing: Daryl Dixon x Fem!Reader
Setting: The Kingdom
Warnings: Drug and alcohol use
Summary: You and Daryl party a little too hard after a long day.
A/N: This has been sitting in my drafts for a hot minute. It didn’t take much to finish it. It’s just pure idiocy, really. Something funny and exaggerated to maybe help me feel like writing again.
Tumblr media
It had been a bad day. A long, exhausting, terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. More walkers than you could count. You had stared down the business end of a handgun, not once but twice. You and Daryl had taken a beating, not once but twice. The supplies you had secured on your run had been jacked, leaving the two of you sprawled out on the pavement while the truck disappeared into the distance. The long walk back to Daryl’s bike was filled with alternating tense silence and heated arguments.
You had parted ways when arriving at the Kingdom, opting to stay in different apartments rather than the shared one that had been set aside for you. You truly had no intention of following through, so you had made certain Daryl had left toward the designated housing. There was something special you had found on the run, small enough to fit in your jacket pocket. The one item you had been able to bring back.
You weren’t sure of Daryl’s stance on your peace offering but hell, you’d lie on a bed of hot coals if it would cool the animosity between the two of you. You gave him a few hours to calm down before showing up at the door. He opened up after the second knock, giving you a once over before leaning against the frame with his arms crossed over his chest. Your hands came up immediately, palms out.
“I come in peace.”
“Thought ya was stayin’ somewhere else?” Maybe you hadn’t waited long enough.
“Come on, Dixon. You know you’d miss me.” He raised an eyebrow in challenge, your bottom lip jutting out. “Don’t be that way. Look! I brought a peace offering!” The little bag dangled between the two of you, two slender white joints inside. Daryl’s expression didn’t change.
“You’re jokin’.” The archer shook his head and turned to walk away. He didn’t shut the door so you took that as an invitation to follow. The heel of your boot caught the door’s edge to kick it closed before jogging after him.
“It’ll be fun!” You offered, making yourself at home on the couch. Daryl eyed the bag while you removed one of the joints. “Probably old as fuck, but beggars can’t be choosers, right?”
“Don’t be stupid, Y/N.”
“You, sir, can continue to entertain your attitude of majestic stick in the mudness or,” you waved the offering again, “you can smoke with me so all these bruises don’t hurt as badly and we can forget about this shitty day.” His eyes narrowed while he quite obviously chewed the inside of his cheek. “What’ll it be? Mud?” You gestured vaguely toward where he stood. “Or epic?” You placed the joint between your lips.
Arms still crossed, the fingers of one hand drummed against the forearm of the other. Just when you thought he might turn you down, his shoulders dropped and he reached inside his vest to pull out his lighter and toss it to you.
You snatched it out of the air with ease. “Hells yeah!”
Tumblr media
Carol had seen you heading toward the apartment earlier after already talking with Daryl about the day’s events. When you didn’t return, she decided that maybe bringing some dinner wouldn't be a terrible idea. You were both pretty banged up and she knew Daryl, at the very least, was in quite the foul mood. She excused herself from her conversation with Ezekiel and Jerry to put together two plates. When she headed over, the two men quickly followed along.
“I’m sure they’re fine. If nothing else, they’ll enjoy something to eat.” She pacified, knowing full well that she at least wanted to make sure that you two weren’t in the process of murdering one another. Your tempers were equally matched, only rivaled by your stubbornness.
The three climbed the stairs and were several doors down when the smell assaulted their senses.
“Alright!” Jerry whooped. “Someone’s having a good time.”
“Ugh, smells like a dispensary up here.” Carol’s lip curled. She glanced at the other apartment doors after knocking, waiting for one of you to call out or answer.
“Enter!” Your voice sing-songed from somewhere inside.
The moment the door swung inward, Carol put her hand over her nose. “Oh my god.” The entire apartment was fuzzy with a thin veil of smoke. “Daryl? Y/N?”
“Livin’ room!” Daryl’s voice was as gravelly as ever but something about his tone had Carol’s jaw already dropping.
“Oh my god, she didn’t.” She quickly placed the plates on the kitchen counter, next to an empty ziplock bag and open bottle of whiskey, and all but ran to the living room with the two men on her heels. The sight had her choking back a cackle, hiding her smile behind her hand.
You were on one side of the couch, hanging upside down off the cushion with your ass against the back and your feet up against the wall. Daryl, bless him, was lying across the coffee table, one foot propped up on the arm of the couch while the other was settled on a nearby chair.
“Right on.” Jerry chuckled, smile fading when Ezekiel cast him a stern look.
“Sup, Jer-bear?” Daryl drawled, twisting around to see the newcomers without lifting himself up in the slightest. You made what you thought resembled bear claws at the man but really just looked like you were trying to tickle someone.
“Y/N, you I get but,” Carol almost snorted and had to cover her mouth again, “Daryl Dixon, are you high?”
“As a goddamn kite.” He answered after a moment of just smiling widely up at her. She wasn’t sure she had ever seen all of his teeth, but there they were. “Drunk too!”
“He’s not mud!” You chirped, trying and failing to pat his chest when you couldn’t quite reach. Ezekiel wasn’t even aware he had started to smile while Jerry was about to absolutely combust trying to hold in his laughter. Carol, tears in her eyes from the strain of controlling herself, looked from you back down to Daryl.
“Not mud, huh? What are you then?”
With a slow sideways glance at you that lingered somewhere between mischievous and proud, he shoved a fist in the air. “Epic!” He hollered, his right foot sliding out of the chair.
“Epic!” You echoed, pushing your feet against the wall so you could stretch your arms and drum both hands on Daryl’s stomach. The motions all seemed so fast to you and Daryl, but to the other three occupants in the room, you were moving in slow motion.
“Should we, uh, get lost then?” Jerry asked, turning toward the hall that led to the door.
“Absolutely not.” Carol, still somehow managing to keep her composure, crossed the room to sit on the chair previously occupied by Daryl’s boot. “I brought you two some dinner.”
Your eyes lit up as you let yourself tumble to the floor, followed equally as gracelessly by Daryl. “Food!” You crawled across the archer, who seemed to find it hilarious. “Daryl. Daryl!” Finally sitting beside his head, you were shaking him forcefully. “She brought food.”
“I want pie.” He replied with an expression that was entirely too serious. “Didja bring pie?” The archer reached over to grasp Carol’s pant leg and tug repeatedly.
“I didn’t, but I’ll make you one tomorrow, Pookie.”
Daryl’s brow furrowed deeply while you lost your mind at the nickname. “Make me what?”
“Pie.” Carol chuckled. This was just too good.
“I want pie!” He repeated, appearing just as excited as the first time he got the idea.
“But Pookie,” you placed a hand on either side of his face and squished. “She brought food. Do you know what this means?”
“What?”
“I don’t remember, but there’s food! I’ll race ya!”
“Ya win.”
You pouted. “You didn’t even start your engine!”
“Ain’t a car, woman.” He made a show of slapping away your hands.
“You’re a motorcycle!” You threw up your arms and twisted to fall backwards across his torso while he nodded from his spot on the floor.
“M’a goddamn motorcycle.”
Carol cleared her throat, earning two sets of bloodshot eyes to focus on her. “Should we bring your food in here for you?”
“Ya brought food?”
“She brought food!”
Jerry was barely keeping it together, finally laughing when Ezekiel failed at withholding his own giggles.
“I would give anything for a video camera.” Carol told the two men while she got to her feet. Reaching down, she pulled on your shoulders and helped you to stand.
“Whoa.” Your wide eyes blinked. “You shrank, Carol.”
“What?” She chuckled, reaching for Daryl, who apparently thought it was hilarious to start wiggling from side to side in order to avoid her. “Daryl! Stop!” She laughed, finally just latching onto one of his belt loops to keep him from sliding across the floor again.
“Hey! Them’s my pants! Get your own!”
“Yeah, get your own!” You swatted Carol’s hands away from Daryl until she threw them in the air and stepped back to stand beside the two men. “C’mon, Dixon!” Your fingers latched onto the front of his shirt and you pulled, not budging the man an inch. The effort you put into backfired and you lost your balance, tumbling face-first into his chest.
“You’re clumsy.” He laughed.
“And you’re standing between me and food.”
“Technically, m’layin’, short stuff.”
“Don’t call me names, douche canoe.”
“This may be the best thing I’ve seen in my entire life.” Carol snorted, wiping the tears from the corner of her eyes.
“I agree that it is indeed entertaining.” Ezekiel met her eyes with a smile and a nod.
“Uh, guys.” Jerry cleared his throat and jerked his chin toward the floor. The other two granted him matching quizzical expressions before following his gesture.
“Oh.” They breathed in unison.
You were now thoroughly straddling the archer, lips sealed over his and fingers wound tightly in his shirt while his twisted into your messy hair. When clothes started being pulled at, the trio scrambled out of the room in a manner that would have otherwise been comical.
“Should we stop them?” Jerry whispered after the front door was pulled closed behind Carol.
“Are you kidding?” Carol admonished with a grin. “I was wondering what it would take to get those two to finally start figuring things out. I just didn’t think it would be a little liquor and weed.”
“I sense there will be a lot to discuss between them come morning.” The King noted with a raise of his brows.
“Yes there will.” Carol smiled, looking back toward the door before they began to descend the stairs. “I am personally looking forward to it.”

Can you write about Aaliyah’s first steps and she starts walking toward Brooklyn 🩵
You never really believed in soul ties until Aaliyah was born. From the moment Brooklyn met her little sister for the first time, you knew they were going to be best friends for life.
You felt so lucky that you didn't experience the rough adjustment period that a lot of parents talked about when an only child has to learn how to share your attention with the new baby.
Brooklyn was an amazing big sister from day one, always wanting to help with feeding and changing duties, and you were thankful to have her help, especially when Jack was away. If Aaliyah was ever fussy, her tears quickly turned to a smile when Brooklyn was around, and as the two got older, their connection only grew stronger.
"C'mon, Liyah, you can do it." Jack clapped his hands for Aaliyah as he at in front of him in the living room. She had just turned 10 months old, around the same age Brooklyn was when she started walking, and with how much crawling and cruising she was doing around the house, Jack knew his second child was close to walking herself.
He helped her to stand, her tiny hands wrapped around one of his fingers as she teetered, wobbling back and forth before she plopped down on the ground with a giggle.
"I know you can do it, baby girl." He picked her up, pressing a kiss to her forehead. Jack was on tour when Brooklyn took her first steps, and he missed it all, so he was determined to be here when Aaliyah hit this huge milestone. "C'mon, walk for daddy." He tried again, this time sitting her in front of him on the floor, and holding his hands out. She was able to easily pull herself up on the coffee table, and take a couple of steps while she held onto the edge, but as soon as she tried to take a step by herself, she fell and landed on her bottom.
"Daddy! I'm back from school!", Brooklyn called out as she busted through the front door, quickly slipping her shoes off and dropping her backpack before she went to find Jack. Aaliyah squealed with glee as soon as Brooklyn rounded the corner, wiggling in Jack's hold to try to get to her sister. "Hi, Liyah", Brooklyn kissed her sister on her nose, and Jack let her down so Aaliyah could crawl over to Brooklyn.
"Anything?" You rose your eyebrows at Jack, knowing he was on a mission to get her to walk. "Nope. We were so close, but she's still hesitant." He stood, giving you a quick kiss before moving to the kitchen. "Brookie, what would you like for a snack?"
"Goldfish, please!", she called out as she played with Aaliyah. Jack set out Brooklyn's snack, placing it on the dining room table. "I'll be right back, Liyah, okay?" Brooklyn left her sister on the floor to run to the kitchen. There was nothing Aaliyah wouldn't do to try to get to her sister, so as soon as Brooklyn ran away, Aaliyah was crawling after her. When she reached the couch, she pulled herself up and started cruising toward the kitchen.
"Look Mama, Liyah's walking!", Brooklyn cried out in excitement. Both yours and Jack's heads shot towards the living room, your face dropping when you realized that she was only cruising. "She's getting there, but not walking yet." You got started on dinner while Jack scrolled through some of his work emails, both of you preoccupied while Brooklyn watched her sister intently. She watched as Aaliyah pulled herself up again, this time making her way to the edge of the couch, trying to steady herself as she looked toward Brooklyn.
"Look, mama! Daddy!" Brooklyn tried to get your attention, but you were standing over the stove. "Brookie, its okay, she'll get there when she's ready, okay?", you threw over your shoulder.
"But look!" Brooklyn frantically pointed as Aaliyah took her first step, wobbly but determined to make it to her sister. She ran over to Aaliyah, holding her hands out. "She's walking, Mama!" Jack lifted his head and got your attention just in time to see Aaliyah start walking, only a couple steps, but still such a big moment. "Oh my god!" Brooklyn caught her just before she fell to the ground, Jack running over and picking her up. "She did it and I saw it!" Jack exclaimed, beaming with pride.
"She was trying to get to me!" Brooklyn smiled wide, running over to you. "She sure was, B. You're such a good big sister", you praised her, pulling Brooklyn into a hug.

Newsies (Live)
Ok so I rewatched newsies live at like,,Christmas and have been caught in a major newsies spiral so here are my thoughts 😻‼️
Jeremy Jordan 🥰 I get that he was kinda old to play Jack but Idc he’s iconic I’m so glad they called him back to play him
Same with Kara she’s an icon and literally the only Katherine I will accept for the proshot
Completely random but I’m glad it was a proshot and not an attempt to make it into a musical movie 😭 (especially since 92sies is literally already a movie lmao)
I also rewatched the og movie and watching it reminded me how much they BUTCHERED SPOT’S SCREEN TIME 😕 and therefore Tommy’s screen time 😔
Also Tommy Bracco he is literally the only spot I will accept (and like,,the only spot on bway that Ik so 😭)
The bg newsies 🥰 Literally all of them they were all icons the cast was literally perfect it’s unreal
ETHAN 😭 HE’S SUCH A CUTIE AND IS SO DRAMATIC IT’S ADORABLE
Andrew Keenan Bolger, also so glad they got him back as crutchie cuz he is an I c o n (as much as I love Andy I deffo prefer Andrew as crutchie lmao)
The fact that there were enough members in the cast that there was literally only 1 case of a newsie doubling up on characters
Literally the entirety of seize the day
The fact that Jeremy runs away from all of the dancing 😭
Also how Jeremy almost kills himself at the end with the heel click/bell kick 💀
The fact Michael (Tommy boy) has a rlly bad American accent but that’s ok cuz I can’t do one either 🥰
BROOKLYN’S HERE 😻‼️‼️
How Tommy’s (spot) eyeliner/eye lashes are sm more noticeable than everyone else, especially his bottom lashes lmao
How tf did Morris not hurt his hand when he hit the printing press?? Like gurl what 😭
The Delancey brothers - they were like,,deffo less comical than in the og movie but still rlly silly 😭
The fact morris literally just stands on top of the newspaper bit for like the entire show
Them bonking heads (I am a Delancey apologist sorry guys 😔)
Ben Tyler Cook 🥰 I absolutely adore Ryan Breslin and actually would’ve loved to see him return as Race but god Ben is so silly I love him sm 😭
“The woild is yer erster” - Literally no one beats his version of this sorry 😭
Pulitzer - He was so good and literally for what bro 😭
”It’s a compromise we can all live with” - Jack Kelly 1899
BEN FANKHAUSER‼️ Also literally the only appropriate Davey fr
The way at the start of Brooklyn’s here Jeremy hits the printing press in time with the music
The set 😻 Ik it’s kinda simple but literally shut up it’s iconic
The height difference between Tommy and Ben at the end of Brooklyn’s here and like,,everywhere lmao
Honestly the height difference between Tommy and everyone
Joshua Burrage - He’s so silly I love him sm
MEDDAAA‼️ GOD HER VOICE IS JUST SO UGH 😫 AND SHE’S SUCH A SWEETHEART LIKE PLS MA’AM BE MY MOTHER 😭
Will never get over how they can sing like that whilst dancing
HOW DOES BEN COOK NOT DROP HIS CIGAR WHILST DANCING SO WELL LIKE???
So sad Ryan Steele wasn’t there 😔 The dude who played specs was good tho (+Michael covered for the turns so 🤷‍♀️)
Hannah was so unserious she’s so funny 😭
Once and for all - this song will literally always give me chills
TOMMY NOT THROWING THE PAPER STACK HIGH ENOUGH DURING ONCE AND FOR ALL 😭
Ben Cook kicking himself in the face during seize the day 💀
THE CAMERA ANGLE WE GET DURING THE RALLY RIGHT BEFORE JEREMY ENTERS
The hug between Tommy and Michael (Spot+Tommy Boy) at the end when Jeremy tells them they won ☹️
The fact Oscar and Morris went for Les first?? Like gurl I get it he’s probably easiest to carry but what were yall trying to achieve with that 😭
The fact that the Delanceys like,,actually got their asses beat like that shit kinda looked like it hurt 💀
SANTA FEEEE‼️ Iconic 😻
The way Crutchie screams for Jack ☹️ although that one “what ya say” meme where it starts playing after Oscar hits him has kinda ruined that scene for me cuz I keep laughing abt it 😕
That one two people cartwheel during the scene change
”I’m glad to have you back :)” “Shuddup” - Jack and Davey (THEY’RE GAY YOUR HONOUR)
There is literally no heterosexual explanation for that scene
THE LOOK DAVEY GIVES JACK WHEN THEY REALISE HE’S A SELLOUT
Once again literally no heterosexual explanation for that scene
Ok but literally just how much fun all of the newsies look like they’re having?? Especially in king of new york like they honestly look like they’re having the time of their lives 😭
“That’s disgusting” - David Jacobs, 1899 (when he’s a victorian newsboy who cares about hygiene 🥰🤭)
Ik Pulitzer saif it too but Idc ok the dude who played Pulitzer was kinda hot anyways (I don’t make the rules sorry 🤷‍♀️ [I am sorry for this tho my taste in men is uh 😨])
That one thing Jeremy does after he shakes Roosevelt’s hand for the first time 😭
”Your majesty” - Crutchie, 1899 (Referring to the governor 😭)
Maybe I should just make one of these with my favourite lines cuz I have so many
Honestly literally the whole fucking musical it was iconic and I am forever grateful that it exists 😻
Honestly there’s probably so so so much more but that’s all I can like,,fully remember rn but I’ll definitely rewatch it and update this lmao
Overall I absolutely adore the musical, and I’m glad the proshot exists cuz it is I c o n i c (also I am totally gonna make a list of my favourite lines from it lmao)

Hunting Monsters | Spencer Reid
Add yourself to my taglist! | Here’s my masterlist!
Pairing: Spencer Reid x Fem!Reader
Warnings: Fluff!!!
Requested: Yes!
Hi! Could you do a f!reader x Spencer where it's Halloween and reader brings their kid to the office, kind of like that scene with Henry dressed as spencer. I just think it would be so much cuter if it was reader and his kid instead
Words: 2.289
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Halloween. My favorite time of year, a close second to Christmas. I’ve always thought it to be the most comforting and calming time of year. The fall tastes of fresh, crisp new beginnings, and with it comes the fun holiday with the dressing up and the horror movies.
Although, ever since having a kid four years ago, the way I went about the holiday changed drastically. Not that many horror movies were being watched and instead of going all out in dressing up, I went all-out dressing up my darling Poppy.
Now that Poppy is four years old, it means she’s old enough to go trick-or-treating.
It means I get to live vicariously through her.
“Mama!” Poppy exclaims as she runs up to me when I pick her up from school.
Smiling, I lift her up into my arms and pepper her chubby cheeks with kisses. “Had a fun day at school, Pop?” She nods her head vigorously, her blonde curls that mirrored her father’s bounce on her shoulders. “Wanna do something fun today?” I ask when I put her down again and guide her towards the car.
“What, Mommy?”
I buckle her in her seat and kiss her forehead. “We can go get some pumpkins and carve them? And maybe we can look through the fun costumes and pick out yours for trick-or-treating?”
“Yes!” she claps her hands excitedly, bouncing in her seat.
I let out a laugh before getting into the driver’s seat and driving us to the nearest Target with ABBA softly playing over the radio. Every once in a while, I catch Poppy singing along to her favorite songs, though it often sounds more like a mutter of phonetic sounds, but it melts my heart nonetheless.
“Mommy,” Poppy starts when we have our pumpkin and are browsing through the Halloween costumes.
“Yeah, Pumpkin?”
“I don’t wanna go trick-or-treating,” she pouts, her bottom lip jutting out.
I furrow my brows, slightly disappointed that my own daughter doesn’t share my joy for the holiday. “Why’s that?”
“Jack tells me it’s the night all the monsters come out… I’m scared of monsters, mama.”
A chuckle rolls off my lips. Of course Jack would’ve told her that during their last play date. He does enjoy scaring Poppy and Henry a little too much, no matter how innocent he may seem. I can’t force my daughter to go out on Halloween if she’s too scared to, even if it makes me sad.
“Okay, Pumpkin, if you really don’t wanna go, then you don’t have to. We can stay inside and watch our favorite Halloween movies, how’s that?” I suggest, hoping she might warm up to that idea and eventually, maybe, hopefully, feel brave enough to go trick-or-treating after all.
“Yes! But then we need new pajamas,” she mumbles and I can’t help but laugh.
She truly is my daughter.
After procuring matching Halloween pajamas for all three of us and paying for everything, I take Poppy home where we carve out the pumpkin and decorate the house and porch together – or at least she helps for five minutes, then gets bored and leaves me to finish the rest.
“All right, Pops, what do you think?” I ask her as I step back and inspect the decorated living room.
Poppy grins. “I like it,” she says before getting distracted by her toys again.
My smile mirrors hers as my phone dings, signaling a text coming through. I fish the device out of my back pocket to see who needs me.
Hubby Spence ❤️: Just landed! Come pick me up?
“Honey Pops, daddy just landed. Shall we go pick him up?” Her bright honey-colored eyes widen in excitement as she gets up on her chubby legs and rushes towards the door where she had left her shoes earlier. “I’ll take that as a ‘yes’,” I mumble before following her out.
The two of us make it to Quantico where the security guard lets us inside, already knowing who we are – though not without the usual showing of ID and Poppy’s favorite part; the beep-beep-machine. With our guest-badges pinned on, we make our way to the sixth floor.
“Auntie Pen!” Poppy shrieks when the colorful blonde walks into the hallway just as the elevator doors open.
Penelope, my best friend, gasped before crouching down and opening her arms for the four-year-old to run into. She wraps her chubby arms around Penelope’s neck in the squishiest hug she could possibly give.
“Ooh, Honey Pops, have I missed you!” Penelope coos, smacking her lips on Poppy’s chubby cheek. My favorite sound in the whole wide world fills the BAU Headquarters hallway; my daughter’s giggles.
As Penelope tickles the little girl, causing the giggles to get louder, the elevator dings and the doors open. Out comes the group of people I have come to love, one of which I have loved for over seven years now.
“Daddy!” Poppy squeals as her eyes land on her dad. Letting go of the little girl, Penelope joins my side to watch the four-year-old rush over towards the tall thirty-five-year-old. Spencer swiftly scoops up his daughter and peppers her face with kisses.
“Hi Popsicle,” he greets excitedly before greeting me with a chaste kiss. “What have you two been up to today?” he then asks her, the rest of his co-workers saying hi to me and Poppy.
Poppy places her tiny index-finger on her chin as though she has to think about it. “Uhmmm, we went to the shop! And we bought a pupkin and made a face in it!” she explains cutely. “And mommy decorated the house!”
Chuckling, Spencer and his co-workers glance over to me as I start to speak. “She also told me she doesn’t wanna go trick-or-treating,” I say before turning to Aaron Hotchner, the son’s father who scared her out of it. “Jack told her the monsters come out that night and now she’s scared.”
Hotch lets out a soft laugh. “Maybe I should have some words with my son,” he says jokingly.
“Popsicle, you don’t wanna go trick-or-treating?” Spencer asks, surprised. Poppy shakes her head, her blonde curls bouncing off her shoulders once again. “Because of the monsters?” She nods her head in response.
JJ tucks a strand of blonde hair behind Poppy’s ear. “Your daddy fights monsters too, Poppy, don’t you wanna fight and catch the monsters too?”
Furrowing her eyebrows, Poppy glances from JJ to her daddy and back. It’s like the gears behind her eyes are working overtime as she tries to think of an answer. I know she’s going to think about JJ’s words for a while, though I don’t think it would change her tiny little mind.
“Okay, how about you say goodbye to everyone for now, Honey Pops,” I tell her. “We need to show daddy what else we got from Target.” Spencer glances over at me with a mix of surprise and confusion in his eyes.
Spencer holds the girl out to everyone like an airplane, allowing her to do their usual ritual where she throws kisses at everyone whilst hovering in front of them on her father’s hand. The team let out a soft laugh and either blew kisses back or gave the little girl a wave as their goodbye.
After Spencer and I say our goodbyes to the team as well, the three of us head back home. I can’t help but feel a sudden rush of bliss run through me as Spencer reaches over and grabs my hand from his spot in the passenger’s seat. It’s been days since we were last together before he left for the next case. Having him back home with us feels like the last puzzle piece falls into place, making our family complete again.
“Daddy! Come look!” Poppy exclaims as soon as we walk into our house.
As Spencer and I approach our daughter, she’s holding up the Halloween pajamas we’d bought earlier. Spencer lets out an overly excited gasp. “These are so cool!” he says, his smile reaching up to his ears.
“These are for when we watch Halloween movies together!” Poppy explains before sitting down on the sofa. “Can I wear them tonight already, mommy?”
I boop her nose before reaching for the bright orange set. “Sure thing, Honey Pops.”
As I get Poppy ready for bed, Spencer empties his go-bag and gets it ready for the next case. Hearing him buzz around the house makes everything seem right. My heart is as happy as it should be around Halloween.
“Mama,” Poppy starts when I tuck her into bed.
“Yeah, Honey Pops?”
She snuggles her face into her pillow. “Can I think about going trick-or-treating?”
“Sure, honey, what makes you wanna change your mind?” I ask, wiping her blonde curls away from her face.
Poppy shrugs. “Auntie Jay told me daddy catches monsters… I wanna catch monsters, too, mommy. I-I can do it on Halloween!” The grin on her face widens at the thought.
A chuckle rolls off my lips. “Yes, you can!” The idea pops into my head and I lean in close to her ear to whisper it like a secret. “I might have the best idea for a costume, too.” Poppy lets out a gasp, her eyes glistening with curiosity and eagerness.
On Halloween night, I get Poppy ready to go trick-or-treating. She’s jumping around, bouncing off the walls with excitement. After having talked about how fun trick-or-treating could be and coming up with a plan to catch all the monsters on her path, she’s finally agreed to go.
“Shall we go show Daddy and the team?” I ask her as I put the pair of fake glasses on her nose.
Poppy nods her head vigorously before grabbing my hand and basically dragging me out the door. Once we arrive at the BAU, Poppy skips through the hallways in her adorable little outfit.
“Honey Pops, why don’t you wait here, give you a big entrance, huh?” She nods her head and hides behind the wall, allowing me to enter the bullpen through the glass doors where I find my husband and all his co-workers, talking about a local case they’d just returned from.
Spencer’s face lights up when he sees me. “Hi, sweetheart,” he greets and kisses my cheek. “Where’s Pops?”
“Remember how she was scared to go trick-or-treating?” Everyone nods their heads in response. “Well, her favorite auntie Jay managed to change her cute little genius brain as long as she could go as her all-time favorite profiler in the world…”
Poppy shrieks as she runs into the room, showing off her combination of tiny dress pants, white button-down and sweater vest. The team’s eyes widen as do their smiles. Compliments and excited exclaims bounce off the walls.
“Popsicle!” Spencer says excitedly as he crouches down in front of his daughter. “Who are you supposed to be?!”
“You, daddy!” she giggles.
“Like father, like daughter,” Morgan chuckles.
While Spencer clips on his badge on her sweater vest, Poppy’s giggles fill up the room. I watch the two of them, allowing my insides to melt at the sight. Poppy is the spitting image of her father, though her nose is the only feature of mine that she inherited.
JJ and Penelope crouch down in front of Poppy to fawn over her as Spencer stands up straight again and turns to me instead. His smile is captivating. “She’s quite the character, isn’t she?”
“Like father, like daughter,” I repeat Morgan’s words.
Spencer’s head tilts a little as he frowned, though the smile doesn’t vanish. “Her being excited about Halloween, that's all you, baby,” he points out.
“Sure, but her interest in catching monsters? That's all you,” I retort.
An excited squeal brings the both of us back to the room, tearing us away from our moment where it was just the two of us. Poppy was being thrown into the air by Morgan, her excited giggles turning into shrieks.
“All right, let’s go, Honey Pops,” I order sweetly, grinning up at the flying child in the room.
Morgan gently places her back on her feet. “Can daddy’s team come too?” she asks, glancing up at the adults surrounding her.
“No, honey,” I chuckle. “You have your own team with Henry and Jack.”
Pouting, Poppy turns to her dad. “Will you be coming, daddy?”
“You betcha,” Spencer grins and grabs her hand before guiding her towards the doors.
My smile only widens as I watch my husband and daughter walk off, chatting about God-knows-what. Anything Spencer and Poppy do together is going to warm my heart. They’re my favorite people in the world and I want nothing more than to have them with me wherever I go.
“Thanks for changing her mind, Jayj,” I say to JJ, who comes to stand beside me.
The blonde chuckles. “She looks adorable. Like an actual miniature Spence.”
“I know, it’s uncanny how alike they are.”
“MOMMY!” Both Spencer and Poppy shout at the same time, capturing my attention from where they are at the door. I look up to find them impatiently waiting for me, ready to go trick-or-treating.
“Duty calls,” I whisper to JJ and after having said goodbye to everyone, I join my husband and daughter out the door with JJ and Aaron, who were joining us on our trip.
It’s safe to say Halloween became even more my favorite holiday, especially when I get to watch Spencer and Poppy go from house to house together with Henry and Jack, while I hang back with Will, JJ and Aaron.
This is just the start of many new traditions and I can’t wait to spend more holidays like this with my loving husband and our hyper, adorable little Poppy seed. Halloween will forever be my favorite holiday.

“Jackie, I-“ (your name)’s eyes widened when Jackie placed another kiss on her soft lips. The blonde woman trembled from above her.
“You don’t have to give me an answer right now…” Jackie whispered between kisses, her brown eyes filled with so much love. “I just needed to get it off my chest-“
Jackie froze when (your name) softly pressed a kiss to her chapped lips. The smaller girl’s cheeks flushed red.
“Jackie…” The two girls sat there for a bit until Jackie scooped her up into her arms and carried her to the couch. “Hey. Put me down-“
“Can we just… cuddle for a bit? That’s all I want.” (Your name) felt her heart clench at the expression on her best friend’s face. She didn’t want to hurt Jackie’s feelings so she nodded her head to allow the blonde to lay back on the couch.
Jack placed (your name) on top of her so the small girl draped over her muscular body. (Your name) relaxed when she felt Jack’s thick fingers run through her hair, her body unconsciously snuggled further into Jackie’s furnace like heat.
“You’re so warm…” (Your name) sighed while she sunk into Jackie’s embrace.
“And you’re so soft.” Jackie teased, her hands reached up to cup at (your name)‘s plump flesh. Jackie leaned forward a bit and flashed her pearly whites at (your name) in a provocative manner. “You smell so sweet, I want to eat you-“
(Your name) shoved Jackie’s head away, her face a bright shade of cherry red. Jackie laughed at the cute reaction, the blonde licked (your name)’s palms to make her squeal. (Your name) was so cute…
“I’m sorry… I can’t help but tease you.” Jackie grabbed (your name)‘s wrists to keep the small girl in place so she could press kisses to her hands. “Do you forgive me?”
Who was this vixen in front of her and what have they done with Jackie?
(Your name) sat there for a minute, smoke exuding from how hot her cheeks were. (Your name) turned her head away to try to hide her blush.
“I-I do… I could never be mad at you, Jackie.” Jackie smirked, the blonde lightly grabbed (your name)’s chin to turn her head toward her.
Jackie leaned forward and pressed her lips against (your name)‘s in a lingering smooch. Her eyes fluttered shut and her heart became filled. This was right… this all felt so right.
Jackie moved her hands down to grab (your name)’s plush thighs. Jackie traced her tongue over (your name)’s bottom lip. (Your name) gasped at the sensation, Jackie quickly took advantage of the opportunity. Her hands grabbed at every bit of (your name)’s flesh in lustful fervor. Her hips grinded into (your name) while the giantess began to feast.
(Your name) was helpless when Jackie shoved her long tongue deep into her mouth. The wet muscle tried to dance with (your name)’s but it easily dominated hers. Jackie grabbed the back of (your name)’s head to hold her in place until she got her fill.
Jackie’s right hand moved all the way down (your name)‘s back until her hand came onto the curve of her ass. How badly she wanted to squeeze (your name)‘a bottom but Jackie knew she needed to stop before she pushed things too far.
Jackie pulled away from the sloppy kiss, a string of saliva connected their lips. The blonde smirked at (your name)’s dazed expression, rosy cheeks, and swollen lips. She was so beautiful…
“You’re so cute.” Jackie pressed one last kiss to (your name)’s forehead. “Do you want to sleep with me in my bed tonight? We can cuddle and maybe watch a movie?”
(Your name) was still a bit dazed from the kiss, her fingers touched her swollen lips in disbelief. She had just made out with her best friend… did this make them more than friends? How did this work?
Jackie pressed her forehead to (your name)’s, she took the smaller woman’s silence as a yes.
.
.
.
(Your name) felt so safe in Jackie’s arms. Jackie held her close, her breath even while her nose laid buried in (your name)’s hair. It was hard to believe what had all transpired in a day.
First she had ran into her old childhood friend who was insistent on them keeping their promise. And then Jackie confessed her feelings for her… what was next? What was she supposed to do?
(Your name) has never been in a relationship in her entire life. Every time she showed interest in someone or someone showed interest in her, they’d ghost on her. (Your name) has only ever had Jackie by her side. The blonde was the only permanent person in her life.
(Your name) squirmed a bit, which made Jackie unconsciously tighten her hold on her.
“Don’t go…” Jackie whispered in her sleep. “Please don’t leave me… I don’t want to be alone again.”
(Your name) frowned, the young woman turned her body over to face Jackie. Her eyes widen at the tears that fell down Jackie’s cheeks. She must be having a nightmare.
(Your name) used her thumbs to wipe away Jackie’s tears and pressed her lips to the tip of Jackie’s nose. “I’m right here, Jackie… I’m here for you.”
(Your name) wrapped her arms around the blonde and eventually succumbed to sleep. The two women’s presences consoled one another.
Together they’d never be alone. So long as outside forces didn’t separate them.
.
.
.
“I’m sorry about kissing you yesterday.” Jackie apologized to (your name), she scratched the back of her neck sheepishly. “I probably made you uncomfortable with my feelings.”
(Your name) glanced up from the pan she was currently frying eggs on. Her brows furrowed. “Jackie, I wasn’t uncomfortable… just thrown off is all.”
Jackie frowned. Thrown off? Was (your name) not into women? Oh no… this could be a problem-
“It was the first time I’ve ever kissed someone.” (Your name) blushed a bit, her eyes focused on the pan in front of her.
Jackie felt her heart swell when she noticed how pink (your name)’s ears were.
“I’ve never kissed anyone either… I’ve only ever had eyes for you.” Jackie confessed, the large woman fiddled with her fingers.
(Your name) glanced up from the pan with a smile. “Jackie… how about we try? We can slowly ease into everything.”
Jackie smiled brightly at (your name), the blonde rushed over to wrap her arms around (your name)’s waist and place hot kisses up and down her neck.
.
.
.
Jackie and (your name) began to do more public outings together over the next few weeks. They went out for dinner and went on walks together after (your name) watched Jackie train. Her genuine praises made Jackie’s heart swell with confidence . Jackie even began to bring (your name) to her fights so the smaller woman could watch her from the stands.
Jackie felt like she fought better when she heard (your name)’s cheers and felt her (eye color) eyes on her. It was a confidence boost, especially with all the mixed responses they received. Most were looks of jealousy and it tremendously boosted Jackie’s ego.
Yes, Jackie’s girlfriend was beautiful. She no longer felt as insecure since they always went home together. It was perfect… until a new figure came into their life.
Hanayama Kaori was a well known fighter in the tournament. She was a serial dater and also a heart breaker. The large Japanese woman was a yakuza boss and one of the most well known lesbians in the area.
And she had set her sights on (your name). It wasn’t uncommon for her to openly ogle (your name) but she never made a move… until now.
Kaori sat beside (your name) in the stands, the woman’s intimidating presence nearly smothered the poor girl.
“You’ve caught my eye for awhile now.” Kaori’s voice was firm and a little deep, her dark eyes admired the pretty, young woman in front of her. “I think you’re beautiful.”
“Oh, thank you!” Kaori nearly jumped in surprise at the bright smile on (your name)’s face. Did she not understand that she as flirting? “I think you’re pretty too… I’ve seen in the ring a few times. You’re really tough and you have such an admirable resolve. You never back down or break. That’s so neat!”
It was the first time Kaori had ever been dumbfounded. Her large hands were taken into (your name)’s small one, the girl giving them a soft squeeze. “My name is (your name)! What’s yours?”
“Hanayama Kaori…” Kaori felt bashful for the first time, but she quickly recovered from the shock. She needed to use this girl so Jackie would finally fight her. “It’s nice to finally meet the prettiest girl at this tournament. Can I interest you in dinner sometime?”
(Your name) tilted her head off to the side in confusion. “Dinner? But we hardly know each other…”
This was the first time Kaori had met anyone so clueless. How could someone not know they were being asked out on a date?
“We could get to know each other better. I’m quite skilled in the be-“
Kaori was shocked when she was yanked back by the scruff of her shirk, a pissed off Jackie stood over her. This was not the reaction she expected but it was better than she thought. Jackie was violently protective over (your name) in a way that let everyone know (your name) was her weakness… a weakness Kaori would exploit.
Kaori smirked at Jackie, at least until she saw (your name) take Jackie’s hand in hers. Her eyes filled with concern at how the skin on her knuckles were open again.
“Jackie, you said you were going to be careful.” Jackie released the scruff of Kaori’s shirt in an instant. The blonde basked in (your name)’s care.
“I was careful! I won my match and my knuckles are the only thing hurt.” Jackie gave (your name) a toothy grin. “You should see the other girl.”
(Your name) puffed her cheeks out like a chipmunk to pout. “I don’t care about the other girl, I care about you.”
Kaoru watched the two playfully bicker, a realization fell over the woman. Kaori never had someone care for her the way (your name) cared for Jackie… and for the first time in Kaori’s life, she felt jealous.
Now Kaori knew she was a good looking woman despite her many facial and body scars. She was tall, strong, and still had curves. She was a lesbian dream. Kaori was easily more attractive than barbaric Jackie… so why didn’t she have a lover like (your name)?
Kaori had dated around plenty of times but those girls only wanted her money and power so they merely warmed her bed for her. They didn’t see her for her.
Kaori studied (your name)’s genuine expressions in an attempt to memorize the other girl. A realization washed over the Japanese woman. If (your name) could love a monstrous woman like Jackie, could she love her as well?
Jackie scooped (your name) up in her arm and carried her away from Kaori. Jackie didn’t like the look in Kaori’s eye, it was all too familiar to the blonde… it was the same way she looked at (your name).
.
.
.
“(Your name)!” Kasumi swung her arms around the smaller girl with a big grin on her face. The karateka pulled the (your name) close to her built body. “I’m so happy you agreed to get coffee with me. We can finally catch up!”
(Your name) smiled at her friend. Kasumi looked handsome today in her turtleneck sweater and suit jacket. Her short black hair was even slicked back a bit to make her look even more put together. A large gift bag rested in her hand, which made (your name) smile. She wondered if Kasumi bought something for her mom or dad.
“You look handsome today, Kasumi.” (Your name) broke the ice and complimented the bushy browed woman. Kasumi’s cheeks turned scarlet in response.
“Y-you look beautiful today too! B-but you always look beautiful!” Kasumi exclaimed, her face turning redder by the minute.
(Your name) laughed at the taller woman, the young woman took one of Kasumi’s hands in hers. “Let’s go order that coffee before you turn into a tomato.”
Kasumi gave (your name)’s hand a light squeeze back. She was so happy to be reunited with (your name)… everything felt right with the other girl. Which reminded her, she had gotten a present for the other girl.
“I got you a gift actually.” Kasumi smiled brightly at (your name), the other girl touched by the gesture. “I saw it and was instantly reminded of you so I had to buy it… I hope that’s not an issue.”
“You didn’t have to get me anything, Kasumi.” (Your name) smiled sweetly at her friend but accepted the bag. “Now I have to get something for you.”
“No you don’t.” Kasumi blushed, her eyes filled with stars when (your name) opened up the gift and smiled. “Do you like it?”
In the bag sat a white bunny plush, its black beady eyes cutely stared up at (your name). It was so cute…
“It’s so cute! Thank you, Kasumi.” (Your name) picked up the chunky plush out of the bag and held it to her chest. Did she really remind Kasumi of a bunny?
“You’re so cute and delicate so I associate you with a bunny…” Kasumi blushed a bright red. “I just think you’re so cute.”
(Your name) stood up on her tippy toes and pressed a kiss to Kasumi’s cheek. Kasumi’s hand touched her cheek in awe.
“You’re the sweetest. Thank you, Kasumi.” (Your name) grabbed Kasumi’s spare hand once more, the bunny plush held securely in the crook of her arm. “Now let’s get that coffee.”
Kasumi felt a warmth overcome her when (your name) held her and after she kissed her cheek. Yes… they’d go order that coffee.
It would be the start of their relationship and eventually their marriage. Kasumi was determined to win the heart of her childhood friend seeing that it was only natural that they uphold their promise.
.
.
.
Kaori stood in front of the bathroom mirror, her long hair damp from the shower. It’s been weeks since she saw (your name) but the pretty young woman never left her mind. How could someone be so sweet to someone like her? How could she gain (your name)’s attention and love?
The black hairs stuck to her back and shoulders like a second skin. The scissor glowed under the fluorescent lights, just begging her to pick them up.
Kaori picked up the silver scissors, her dark eyes studied them. If she did this, there was no turning back. She would cut off a part of herself , a part that had protected her for so many years… but why did she need to be afraid?
Kaori grabbed her hair up and sucked in a deep breath. She could do this.
Snip!
“Kaori, you have a call on-“ Kaori’s right hand woman, Kirara, paused in the door way. Her voice loudly squealed out, “what did you do to your hair?!”
Kaori smiled at her reflection in the mirror, her long dark locks laid in a pile on the floor. Kaori ran her fingers over her new shirt hair cut.
Now, she was handsome.
.
.
.
“What the fuck is that?” Jackie pointed at the large bunny plush in (your name)’s arm. A wave of jealousy washed over the blonde. Did Kasumi buy it for (your name)? Didn’t that stupid karate brat know that (your name) and Jackie were dating?
“Kasumi bought it for me… she said I remind her of a bunny. Isn’t it cute?” (Your name) grabbed the plush’s little arms and made them dance. “Cha cha cha.”
It took all of Jackie’s self control not to grab that doll out of (your name)’s arms and rip it apart with her teeth like a wolf. How dare Kasumi impress (Your name) with something as simple as a stuffed animal. It was so simple and- oh. Jackie could just buy something cute for (your name) to draw her attention away from the plush.
“Yes… it’s cute.” Jackie stiffly replied, the words tasted almost like bile but Jackie wasn’t lying. It was a very cute plush. It’s just that it was from Kasumi and that put a bad taste in her mouth.
Jackie took note of how happy the bunny made (your name). The smaller girl fondly cuddled the plush in her arms, burying her nose into its soft fur. It smelled just like Kasumi… like clean linen and freshly squeezed oranges.
Jackie made a mental not to buy (your name) something cute as soon as possible. There was no way in hell she was going to lose (your name) to Kasumi of all people.
.
.
.
“I bought you something.” Jackie came up to (your name), who sat on the couch on her phone. Jackie kept her hands behind her back. “I think you’ll like it.”
“Oh really?” (Your name) turned her attention to Jackie, a bright smile on her face. (Your name) set her phone down beside her. “And what did you get me?”
Jackie pulled out a giant gray wolf plushie from behind her back. (Your name) squealed at how cute the plush was, her small arms barely fit around the thing.
“Oh my gosh! Where did you even get this? It’s huge!” (Your name) laughed, the young woman buried her face into its soft fur. “Were you jealous of Bun Bun?”
“No, I wasn’t jealous of your stuffed rabbit.” Jackie crossed her arms over her chest and pouted. “You must be out of your mind if you think I’d be jealous of a stuffed animal.”
(Your name) rushed over to Jackie and gave her a hug. The young woman giggled at Jackie’s blush.
“You’re jealous!” (Your name) singed which made Jackie scoop her up into her arms and swing her around in a circle. (Your name) squealed. “Jackie! Put me down!”
Jackie chuckled and plopped onto the couch with her. The two women now a tangle of limbs and giggles.
“I wasn’t jealous of the rabbit… I was just jealous of the person who gave it to you.” Jackie pressed a kiss to (your name)’s forehead. “So you should put this wolf in your bed now instead of Bun Bun.”
Jackie picked up the wolf plush and squished its face into (your name)’s cheek. The blonde made a growling noise which made (your name) erupt into laughter.
“You’re so stupid.”
.
.
.
“Hello.” Kaori stiffly greeted (your name) at the tournament. Her crisp white suit made her stick out like a sore thumb. “I haven’t seen you in awhile.”
“Hello, Kaori. How have you been?” (Your name) noticed that the Japanese woman now rocked a long pixie rather than have her long hair pulled back into a bun. “I see you had gotten your hair cut. It looks nice on you.”
Kaori softly smiled, her hand instinctively ran through her short locks. “I thought it was time for change.”
Which was halfway true. Kaori wanted to be more of (your name)’s type and if that meant being more masculine, then she would be.
(Your name) smiled brightly at Kaori. “It really suits your face.”
Kaori had a slight blush on her cheeks that was almost unnoticeable. She wasn’t used to being the one who was complimented and she didn’t want it to stop.
“I was worried it’d make my scars stand out more on my face. I feel like they’re kind of ugly-“ Kaori’s breath hitched when (your name)’s eyes softly traced over the contours and lines of her face scars. She wasn’t used to someone gazing upon her with utmost interest.
“I don’t think they’re ugly at all. I think they make you look cool.” (Your name) gave Kaori a bright smile. “You’re tough and beautiful-“
Kaori grabbed (your name)‘s hands and began to kiss the backs of them. Her massive body trembled with each touch. Kaori’s teeth could rot from his sweet (your name) was.
“Not nearly as beautiful as you-“ Kaori was shoved away by a furious Jackie, the blonde inserted herself between them. If looks could kill, Kaori would be dead.
“(Your name)? Did you see my fight?” Jackie had blood splattered all over her face, which made (your name) pull a handkerchief out of her purse.
“Jackie, you have blood all over your face.” (Your name) chided Jackie as she wiped her face off with the cotton handkerchief. “Why are you always so messy?”
“But it’s not my blood.” Jack grinned but was only playfully smacked in the face.
“Doesn’t matter. I just don’t like you getting all messy.” (Your name) sighed but Jackie merely pressed a kiss to her forehead.
“What can I say? I just love being cleaned up by my girlfriend.” Jackie gave Kaori a look that demanded the Japanese woman leave. “We can go to the onsen together after this… just you and I.”
“Really? I’ve always wanted to go to a hot spring.” (Your name) smiled softly and clasped her hands together. “Okay, Jackie. Please be safe out there!”
Jackie smiled and pressed another kiss to (your name)’s head. She then glanced at Kaori.
“I’ll see you in the finals.” Jackie smirked, the Japanese woman glared at her.
“Good luck, Jackie! Be safe.” (Your name) smiled brightly at her friend and waved at the blonde until she was out of sight. (Your name) then turned her attention back to Kaori. “Your fight is coming up, isn’t it?”
“Yes… I fight Kasumi Orochi next-“
“Oh I know Kasumi!” (Your name) smiled with a soft expression on her face. “We were childhood friends before I moved to Canada. We just recently reconnected but the bond is still there.”
Kaori maintained a stoic face but in reality, she threw a table across the room in her mind. There was another competitor… Kaori had to compete against two other women… both very different from one another.
“(Your name)!” Kaori felt her blood go cold when Kasumi ran over to the two girls with a big smile. The karateka practically threw herself on top of (your name), her arms snaked around (your name)’s waist. “My fight is coming up! Are you going to cheer for me?”
Kasumi froze when she noticed Kaori, the karateka turned to look at Kaori. “Oh I didn’t even notice you, Hanayama.”
Kaori just gave Kasumi a stiff nod of acknowledgment. The yakuza tightly clenched her fist in envy.
“I’ll be cheering for both of you.” (Your name) smiled at her two friends. “Be safe-“
Kaori scooped off (your name)’s hand and gave her knuckles a kiss. The gesture made (your name) blush.
“I’ll be safe. I’ll see you after the fight, okay?” Kaori smirked at (your name)’s bashful expression. Cute. She was so cute.
Kasumi blew smoke out of her nose, the karateka pressed a kiss to (your name)’s cheek. (Your name) snapped her head to Kasumi who puffed out her cheeks.
“I want you to cheer for me… we’ve known each other longer.” Kaori tried not to scrunch her face up in distaste. Kasumi acted like a child. “I want your eyes to be on me. I’m the Kasumi Orochi after all.”
(Your name) giggled at Kasumi, the young woman teased the karateka. “Who’s this hot shot here and what have you done to my childhood friend?”
The two girls laughed while Kaori bitterly watched the interaction. Kaori couldn’t stand being ignored like this… she didn’t want to lose.
She’d make sure she came out on top. Kaori had her heart set… and what the boss wanted, the boss got.

it was finally friday, the night of the first home hockey game. you were in the bathroom, trying desperately to curl the back of your head, but no luck.
you huffed, “mia! can you come here real quick?!”
your voice echoed, her footsteps being your sign that she heard you. she opened the door to your bedroom, walking into the small half bathroom.
“what’s up?” she met your eyes in the mirror, cracking a smile at how distressed you look.
“can you curl the back of my hair, please?”
she smiled, holding her hand out for the curling wand. she sectioned your hair, grabbing a reasonably sized chunk before wrapping it around the barrel.
“so,” she dragged the ‘o’, “you excited for tonight?”
you shrugged, “i suppose. would be nice to actually see tom play.”
“oh, i meant to ask,” she said, “but how did you two even start dating? was it the night of the party?”
you bit down on your bottom lip, “yeah, yeah. i guess we sorta kinda just clicked? i don’t really know how to explain it.”
she smiled, “i was just making sure this is something you really wanted. i mean, i know i’m one to talk, but with everything that happened with jack, i just want to make sure you’re okay.”
you smiled softly at her in the mirror, “i’m okay, i just want to move on and be happy again.”
“understandable,” she said, “what he did was so fucked up. he’s lucky i haven’t seen him yet because i will quite literally give him an ass whooping.”
you laughed, “i love you.”
she smiled back at you, “i love you, too,” she turned the curling wand off, placing it down on the sink before admiring her work, “and you’re all set, hot stuff.”
you smiled, “thanks.”
“i’m gonna go make sure sarah isn’t trying to leave the house with sweatpants on.” she said and you laughed as she made her way back down the steps.
your phone buzzed on the counter, a message popping up on your screen. you grabbed the phone, plopping down on your stomach onto the mattress.
tom dropped something off for you at your door see you soon :)
you locked your phone before running down the steps, laughing as you heard sarah’s complaining about the outfit mia suggested she wore tonight. you opened the front door, a bag sitting on the carpet in the hallway.
you grabbed it and shut the door, reading the sticky note that was plopped on top of whatever was inside the bag.
fake girlfriend or not, there’s no one else i’d want wearing my last name tonight.
the tickets are at the bottom, see you tonight :)  - tom
you pulled out the black jersey, the stitching on the back reading tom’s last name and his number. you smiled, grabbing your phone out of the back pocket of your jeans.
y/n thank you! i love it
you slipped your phone back into your pocket, jogging up the stairs. you entered sarah’s room where mia was laying on the bed, smiling contently with her efforts on getting mia to dress up a little bit. you entered the room, your eyes immediately going wide at sarah’s outfit.
“you look hot!”
“see, told you,” mia said, throwing her hands up in the air, “wear the outfit!”
she was in a black turtleneck sweater tucked into the front of her light wash jeans that quite literally fit her like a glove. she wore a pair of black booties with them, with some light makeup on (courtesy of mia).
sarah hardly ever got dressed up like this anymore, which she never really had to. she looked gorgeous either way. but ever since her and her ex boyfriend broke up, she’d lost the motivation to throw on cute outfits, just opting in on staying in sweats or pajamas all day. if there was a party, it was leggings, one of her comfort hoodies, and her beat up pair of converse that were now considered her ‘frat shoes’.
you and mia both tried to get her back to being her confident, carefree self. but, it was hard. hard for all of you, especially sarah. at the end of the day, you both just wanted her happy again.
“mia, this bra is suffocating my tits,” she said, tugging at the cups, “how the fuck do you wear this everyday?”
you both laughed, “you’ll get used to it.”
“what’s that, y/n?” mia asked, nodding towards the bag in your hand. you smiled, grabbing the material from the bag and holding it up for both the girls to see.
“no way!”
“shut the fuck up!!”
you laughed, smiling, “i know, i know.”
“that’s so cute,” mia said, sticking her bottom lip out. sarah agreed, nodding her head as she put a hand over her heart.
“finally, y/n finding someone who treats her right.”
you chuckled, fishing the tickets out of the bottom of the bag, “here’s our tickets. we should probably leave soon.”
“yes ma’am,” mia said, fakely saluting you.
sarah and you laughed, each of you departing to your own rooms to finish up getting ready and to grab your things.
                               ─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
the arena was packed for the first home game filled with a bunch of parents and college kids hoping for their team to win. tom was nice enough to get you, mia and sarah seats right near the ice.
“okay, can i just say, i love tom. i mean, look at these seats.”
you smiled over at sarah, “yeah, it was really nice of him.”
mia was looking around at the people near you, seeing if anyone else you guys knew showed up for the game. she immediately whipped her head back around to you, slapping your arm to get your attention.
“jack’s here.”
there’s that nervous pit again.
“wait, where?” sarah asked, moving to turn around in her seat. mia reached over you and grabbed her arm to stop.
“don’t look at him! he’s a couple rows up.”
great.
your phone buzzed in your pocket, you fished it out and tapped on the message notification.
tom hey, how're your seats?
y/n they’re great! other than the fact that jack is a couple rows behind me but otherwise they’re great :)
tom oh shit, i’m sorry i can have someone come get you and move you guys if you want
y/n no, no it’s okay
you bit down on your bottom lip, fingers hovering over the keyboard.
let’s just make him jealous, like we said we would
tom with pleasure.  see you after the game
y/n  good luck :)
you locked your phone, mia turning to look at you, “you okay?”
you nodded, tucking a piece of hair away from your face, “yeah, actually. i am.”
it wasn’t a complete lie. sure, seeing jack was like a sucker punch to the gut, but you decided to not let it overpower you tonight. you were here with your best friends, supporting one of the nicest, funniest, caring guys you’ve ever met.
as the night went on, you and your friends cheered on tom’s team. he scored the winning goal and the arena erupted with cheers and applause. you, mia and sarah immediately jumped out of your seats, screaming and cheering as tom shrugged off his helmet and was hugged by his team. once everyone had calmed down, he skated over to your section, holding up a heart made out of his hands. you smiled, holding up one back.
his subtle jab of rubbing it into jack’s face. smooth.
once the arena cleared out, you let mia and sarah head back in mia’s car as you waited for tom. you were waiting in the lobby, scrolling on your phone trying to pass time.
“hey,” you heard a voice and looked up to see jack, “didn’t know you liked our hockey team.”
you slipped your phone into your pocket, clearing your throat, “uh, yeah. kinda getting back into liking hockey.”
he nodded, “yeah. i mean, sleeping with the captain of the team kinda helps, doesn’t it?”
you opened your mouth to speak, but felt a hand wrap around your waist. you were immediately enveloped in the scent of tom’s cologne.
“hey, baby,” he said, leaning in and pressing a kiss to your cheek. you masked the surprise that ran through your body, smiling over at him as he looked over at jack, “sorry, didn’t catch your name, mate. you are?”
jack’s eyes narrowed on tom’s figure, “jack.”
“jack, i’m tom, nice to meet you.” he said, holding out his hand for him to shake. jack didn’t accept the handshake, but just shifted his gaze to you.
“didn’t you say jocks aren’t your type?” he asked, and eyebrow raised at you.
“funny how we both said things we didn’t mean.” you spit back. he opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted by his friends calling his name behind him. he rolled his eyes, turning around and walking towards his group.
“pleasure was all mine, mate! see you later!” tom called back after him. you let a chuckle escape your mouth as he unwrapped his arm from around you, turning to face you, “you okay?”
you nodded, “yeah. thank you.”
“that’s what i’m here for,” he smiled, “hungry? we can get something to eat before i drop you off at home?”
you nodded, “sounds good.”
he nodded towards the door, the two of you walking out towards the parking lot. he opened the passenger side door for you. you thanked him before he jogged around to his side, buckling in and starting the car before passing you his phone.
“put on whatever you want.”
you scrolled through his spotify, finding a couple songs you knew and put them on through the car speakers. he pulled into the parking lot to one of the diners in town. the two of you made your way inside before sitting in a booth across from one another.
you scanned over the menu, “what’re you going to get?”
he hummed, “don’t know. kinda going back and forth between the club and the chicken parm. what about you?”
you hummed, twisting your lips in thought, “the grilled cheese and tomato soup sounds good.”
he smiled, “does sound good.”
once the two of you ordered and got your food, you made small talk about the game.
“i don’t think jack likes me much.” tom chuckled, taking a sip of his drink.
“no, really?” you smiled, voice laced with sarcasm, “what gave it away? was it the blatant ignoring or was it something else i didn’t pick up on?”
he smiled, “not that i care about his opinion of me, but he could’ve at least shook my hand.”
you nodded in agreement, “yeah, no, he didn’t have to be such a dick about it.”
the bill came and after trying to grab it from him for about five minutes, you finally let him pay. you walked out, letting him open the car door for you, as he always does. you two were on the way back to your house, laughing and enjoying comfortable conversation.
“so, tell me,” he said, “are you really not into the jock type?”
you nodded, “yeah, i mean, guys who i’ve met who were athletes were like the stereotypical jock type. the huge ego, kinda kept their girlfriend by their side as arm candy, never really cared about the woman they were with, you know?”
he nodded, “yeah, i don’t really get how guys can do that. any guy who doesn’t worship their girl is a dick, in my opinion.”
you smiled, “are you the type of guy to worship your girl?”
“oh, yeah,” he said, “i mean, if you don’t then what’s the point, y’know?”
“i get you,” you said, “in my opinion, taylor didn’t deserve you.”
he smiled over at you, “a lot of other people would agree with you.”
who would willingly break tom’s heart? i mean, c’mon, he’s the definition of a perfect boyfriend.
no, stop thinking like that.
he pulled up in front of the house. you looked over at him, his brown eyes meeting yours.
“do you want to come inside?” you didn’t even notice the words were falling from your lips until you heard your own voice.
“sure.” he smiled, turning the car off. he followed you inside, mia and sarah sitting on the couch.
“hey,” you said, shutting the door and locking it, your eyes falling onto the tv, “what’re you guys watching?”
“the new episode of love island,” mia said, “shh.”
you looked at tom who was smiling at you. you rolled your eyes playfully, “okay, you guys have fun. we’re going upstairs.”
sarah gave you a thumbs up as the two of you climbed the stairs. you made your way to your room and shut the door. tom took a seat onto your bed, watching as you walked over to the dresser.
“i might have a pair of sweats you can change into,” you said, digging through one of the drawers, “if you want to stay.”
he smiled, “i’d love to stay.”
you smiled back at him before handing him the sweatpants, “i can uhm, find a t-shirt or something if you don’t want to sleep in your sweatshirt.”
“i’m good for now,” he smiled, taking the sweatpants into his hands, “thank you.”
you nodded, “the bathroom is over there.”
he nodded, walking into the bathroom. you quickly changed into a pair of leggings and a tanktop, sitting on the bed as he came out of the bathroom. he joined you on the bed, putting his phone on the nightstand.
“wanna watch a movie or something?”
he nodded, “yeah, anything in mind?”
you hummed as you clicked onto netflix, “i heard the new movie on netflix is good. something about a girl who’s in fake relationship or something.”
he let out a chuckle as you smiled over at him, “how fitting. maybe we could learn a thing or two.”
you clicked on the movie, the both of you getting situated on the bed. you two were mainly talking rather than paying attention. he was propped up on his elbow, facing you as you laid down on your side.
his eyes scanned your face, “oh, you have an eyelash.”
you reached up under the eye he pointed to, attempting to wipe it away.
“did i get it?”
he smiled softly, “no, here,”
he reached up gently and pinched the eyelash between his fingers. you smiled as he scanned your face again. you did the same, his face softly illuminated from the light from the tv. he looked like a dream, his curls flopped over his forehead. you didn’t realize how close the two of you had gotten until you could feel his warm breath fan your face. he reached over and moved  a piece of hair from your face.
“what’re you thinking about?” you asked softly.
“how i broke one of the rules.”
you raised an eyebrow, “which one?”
“the first one,” he said, “‘no strings attached’. i can’t help it. you’re all that’s been on my mind ever since i met you.”
you let out a shaky breath at how close he was, “i may have broken that one, too.”
he smiled, “let’s scrap the rules. i want to explore this, whatever kind of feelings we may or may not have… if that’s what you want.”
“yeah,” you said, “fuck the rules.”
he smiled wider, “is it alright if i kiss you right now?”
“please.”

“Oh come on,” Maya groaned as she rolled over to face you. “Don’t be like that.”
You were currently sitting on the edge of her bed, angrily pulling your shirt back on. It happened again, you thought things were different and you were sorely mistaken. When were you going to stop falling for her sweet words and seductive tone coming from the other end of the phone? It always happened when the sun went down. She would call you and tell you all the right things to make you squirm where you sat. She’d tell you she wanted you. No – craved you and every time you’d fall for it and find yourself hopping into your car and speeding to her apartment. And lately, the last few times you arrived she would take your breath away, claiming you in a way that only she could. Touching you in a way that only she knew how. At the end she’d kiss you so deeply that you thought you two were on the same page. But the moment the kiss was over she’d untangle herself from you completely and not so subtly hint for you to leave. Your hopes would instantly be crushed. What should’ve been an amazing night would turn into one of self hatred and disgust. You couldn’t help, but feel used. Any time she’d start the conversations about no sleepovers, you’d fight back by telling her that the next time she called it had better be for something more. Of course, despite your warning, she would still call and that’s why you kept thinking things would be different. It never was. She was starting to make you believe all you were good for was a quick fuck and you didn’t like that feeling.
This time you didn’t even bother to start the argument again. When you two were finally spent, you waited for her to say something, anything of meaning, and yet again she started with the same words. “It’s getting pretty late…” Immediately, you knew it was her way of telling you to leave. This time, when she said it, you just huffed and started to pull on your clothes. The only thing you said in response as you wrestled with your shirt was “Don’t call me again, Maya.” And that’s when you finally got a different reaction out of her.
“We had fun tonight, didn’t we?” She said behind you, her hand reaching to run her fingers across the exposed skin of your back as you continued to struggle with your shirt in the dark. All you did was recoil, not wanting to entertain her words with any sort of answer.
She sat up when she noticed your response to her touch. The fact that you pulled away from it did something to her. The harshness of the way you recoiled sat in the pit of her stomach and she didn’t like the way it made her feel. Maya tried to shake off the feeling, telling herself if she reasoned with you it would make her feel better.
You felt the mattress shift as she scooted closer and you squeezed your eyes shut tight in anticipation of her next words. “Listen,” she sighed, her hand yet again reaching out to brush her fingers along your back. This time you didn’t pull away, but you just sat still as you waited for her to continue. Whatever she was going to say next was going to disappoint you. You knew that deep down. It’s not like this would be the first time she hurt you like this. Yet, still you waited and hoped she’d say something real.  “I told you when we started that I didn’t need a girlfriend.”
“Yeah,” you sighed. This conversation always goes in circles and you were tired of having it. Of course, Maya couldn’t ever talk about her feelings with you before. Why would this time be any different? “You also said this was a one time thing.”
You didn’t have to turn around to know that Maya was wearing that annoyed frown she always gets. She never says anything when you throw that back in her face, but it was true. Maya made it clear the first time you hooked up, but then she broke her own rule and she called you again… and then again… and again until you were at a point where you lost track of how many times she would ask you to come over.
Instead of waiting any longer for her to make up some other excuse to get you to leave or to sweet talk you into not being so mad, you got up and walked towards where your pants lay on the floor. Maya stayed silent this time. The air had drastically changed. It felt heavy, suffocating even. Usually, after this conversation happens, it’s tense. But this was different. There was a sense of finality in the way you moved across the room, gathering everything you two had flung off. Maya understood that and watched silently as you pulled the rest of your clothes on.
“Goodbye, Maya.” Your voice echoed through the uncomfortable silence. Maya turned her head from you, refusing to meet your eyes as you waited one final time for her to say something, anything to get you to stop. She remained silent. You took her response as her own acceptance of the finality of the night. This was the end of whatever this situationship was. With your things gathered, you looked back at Maya once more, her eyes still glued to a random part of the room. The lack of reaction from her strengthened your resolve, and finally you left. That night was the last night, you told yourself. It would be the last time you had this conversation, the last time you answered her calls, the last time you fell for Maya Bishop.
—-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After that night, Maya would call and you’d send her to voicemail. When she texted, you would purposefully leave her on read. It took longer than you thought it would for her to finally stop trying to get you to come over. The texts and the calls had slowed to a stop and you tried to ignore what that might mean. Did she find someone else to answer those calls? As hard as you tried to deny the hurt you felt from walking away from Maya, you knew it was for the best. You deserved more and you knew that, but you still couldn’t help but want her.
To distract yourself from her, you would go out with your friends. They kind of knew what was going on. Not all the details, but still, they could tell that you were heartbroken. It had been a month now of you trying to avoid Maya Bishop and her insistence to break the bad habit that you formed with you. You were holding strong, so you decided to be bold. A month was a decent amount of time. Maybe you weren’t over Maya, but maybe you were ready to be under someone else. A hook up, that’s what your friends convinced you that you needed to get the ball rolling. A hook up wouldn’t solve everything, but maybe it would fix your bad mood.
So you got dressed up and went out. Your intentions were to find someone, flirt, and see what happens. And oh, did you flirt.  You really flirted. More so than you usually would. But there was a good reason for that and that reason was currently staring daggers at you from across the bar.
It was driving Maya crazy, in fact. Having to watch you fawn all over another person. That person being Jack of all people. Part of that pissed her off even more. She saw you the minute she entered the bar and, unfortunately for her, you saw her at the very same time. That’s when you shifted all your attention to Jack. She knew it was, because you caught her coming in. She chose her usual spot and luckily it had a clear shot of where you were currently, in her opinion, draping yourself all over him. He, of course, was loving all of it. He had a shiteating grin on his face and it was quickly testing Maya’s patience. After a few minutes of this little show, Maya was ready to snap.
Jack was clearly enjoying your attention too and that’s what was making it even worse for Maya. He was leaning close to and talking you up. Maya kept seeing the telling smile he flashed at you and, to her horror, she knew what that meant. Finally, he flexed and of course you laughed and all Maya could do was grimace.
Maya’s fists were shaking in anger as she watched this shitshow unfold in front of her. She tucked her hands under the bar to hide their shaking as she watched you touch his arm like it was the most casual thing in the world. If looks could kill, the one she was giving Jack would’ve made him drop dead. And honestly, she hated herself a little bit for wishing that he’d disappear right now. Did he know what he was doing? Maya thought she told him about the little situationship she had with you, but maybe he didn’t realize it was you she was sleeping with. Or used to be sleeping with, she guessed, since it had been a month. Hopefully, though, that was the case, that he actually had no clue who you were. But if he actually knew it was you that she was seeing, then he might not be leaving this bar in one piece tonight.
When he leaned in and whispered something in your ear that was the last straw for her. Maya knew Jack well enough to know that he was close to convincing you leave with him. She’d be damned if she let that happen. After one more long drink of her beer, she slammed her bottle down and shot up from her seat. Walking right up to where you and Jack sat at the bar, she didn’t even look his way once before pushing herself in the small space between you two.
Jack’s eyebrows shot up and he leaned back on his barstool as he watched Maya get into your personal space. “Can I talk to you for a second?” Maya’s voice was clearly tense as she practically seethed. A knowing smirk formed on Jack’s face as he watched her haul you off your stool. Bingo.
“I uh- I guess?” You stuttered. Not that it mattered, Maya was already pulling you toward the bathroom.
You practically jumped out of your skin when Maya slammed the door behind the both of you. She reached for the doorknob and the sound of the click echoed through the room as the lock slid into place. Alright, you thought, this night was going to be a long one.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” Maya whipped around on you as you walked further into the bathroom, wanting to get a little bit of distance between you and the woman you so desperately wanted to forget.
“I’m not doing anything, Maya,” you said, trying your best to play it neutral. Truth is, you knew exactly what you were doing. To be fair, this wasn’t your plan at the beginning of the night. You definitely didn’t just walk into the bar, find Jack and decide tonight was the night you’d try your best to make Maya jealous. In a way that wasn’t your goal at all, but in a way, deep down, it also was. No, your plan for the night was to try to forget Maya once and for all.
Okay, so you picked a bar that you knew she frequented, but to be fair you hadn’t seen her there in awhile. When you went with your friends, as much as you hated yourself for it, you would look at her usual spot and she wouldn’t be there. So, there were two reasons you decided this decision was safe: The first being that it was a familiar bar where you knew other people who frequented, so if you went alone and something happened, you had people around who had your back. The second was that you really didn’t expect Maya to suddenly start coming the first night you decided to go out without your usual group of friends again. Your hopes were to find someone to flirt with, to forget maya for, or to at least go home with. Of course, that wasn’t going to happen now. Especially when you hadn’t even finished half of your first drink before being torn away from Jack.
Your night hadn’t even started and she already ruined it. She was going to watch your every move the whole evening, you knew that just by the way she was looking at you from across the bar. So, since you were angry, you found an easy way to piss her off too: Jack. Yeah, you knew him. He was charming, he worked with Maya, and you kind of knew they had a history. Honestly, anyone would’ve done the job but he was sitting right there and you wanted to be effective. So you flirted and they both ate it right up. Was it cruel? Maybe, but honestly if you didn’t know any better it felt like deep down Jack knew exactly what you were doing too. Either way, your little plan to piss Maya off clearly worked since you were now being stared down by her as she kept getting closer and closer to you.
“Jack? Really?” Maya stopped right in your personal space, but you weren’t going to back down.
“Why not Jack?” You shot back.
“Because he’s… Jack! He and I- well we- we work together!” Maya’s arms shot up in frustration, but you weren’t phased. If anything, you were a little smug. “And you two were practically all over each other.”
Your eyebrow shot up at that. You hoped your plan to make her jealous would work, but you didn’t think it would work this well. It took everything in you not to smirk at her in triumph. “Why does that matter?”
“Come on!” Maya huffed. “You know why.”
“No,” you challenged. “I don’t. Why don’t you enlighten me?”
“Because I-” Maya paused for a minute. You could see as she struggled to find what to say next. “Because it could get messy.”
You let out a sarcastic laugh and shook your head. She was really trying to avoid having a real conversation about her feelings, and you watched as she did mental gymnastics to get around it. “We were just having fun, remember? So nothing should get messy,” you fired back. “Unless, either you or Jack has feelings for me, then I don’t see why anything would get messy? And I mean… Come on, Maya, I don’t really know Jack that well so I don’t think he would be the one to catch feelings for me. Do you?”
You didn’t stop the smug smile that time. Maya stood there dumbfounded and you practically beamed at her with how proud you were of your own argument. You had her, she might not want to admit it, but you finally really did. Maybe she’s moved on, maybe she found your replacement, but that’s not going to dampen your victory. At least you can rub it in her face right now that she’s not allowed to have you anymore, while also confirming that she felt something.
“You know that I don’t-”
“Do girlfriends,” you interrupted. “Yeah, I know. Listen, Maya, I’m done with this. If you don’t have something real to say then I’m going back out there.” You took a moment to see if Maya would respond, but she just stared back at you with wide eyes. Finally, you stepped around Maya, trying to reach the door. But you didn’t get a chance to even touch the lock.
Suddenly, Maya’s hand was wrapped around your elbow, pulling you back and turning you around. You stumbled awkwardly, reaching for the bathroom counter to steady yourself. “Maya, what the f-”
Her hand was on your chin in a blink of the eye. She held your head still as her lips came crashing onto yours. All words of protest you had were quickly, utterly lost. The both of you stumbled back at the sheer force of her kiss until your back was fully pressed to the counter, but her lips still didn’t part from yours. Your hands wrapped around the edge of the counter as you tried to keep yourself upright. Her lips pressed harder into yours and the hand that was once on your chin moved to tangle in your hair. The kiss was sudden and your brain didn’t register what was even happening at first, but when it finally did you should’ve stopped it instantly. Except, no matter how much your brain was screaming at you to be logical, you couldn’t. The kiss was breaking all the rules you set for yourself when it came to Maya now. But it just felt so fucking good.
Instead of pushing Maya away like you probably should’ve, you kissed her back. When her lips met yours with full force, you instantly accepted them. Even though your hands were currently busy steadying you, you still tried to push forward to have your body press fully to hers. The minute you felt her tongue trace your lip, you knew it was all over for you. The voice that was still telling you to stop went completely silent. Whatever Maya wanted, she could have. As long as she touched you the way you so pathetically wanted and so desperately missed, she could do whatever she wanted to you.
You couldn’t stop the whimper that left your mouth when you felt one of Maya’s legs push between your thighs and press up slightly. Maya took that opportunity to slip her tongue into your mouth, running it against your own. As much as you hated yourself for it, you were drowning in Maya. How could you deprive yourself of this feeling for as long as you did? She was everything you’ve been craving for a whole month. There wasn’t a second that went by that you weren’t filled with the overwhelming desire to feel her hands back on you. Each time she called, you hesitated to send it to voicemail. Each text, you found harder and harder to ignore. You tried to push all these feelings for her back down. God, how you fucking tried. But now one of her hands was slipping under your shirt, her nails were dragging down the skin of your stomach, and her tongue was licking into your mouth. Now, she was filling your every sense and you were willingly letting yourself get lost in it.
It didn’t take long for you to let Maya’s body push your own up and onto the bathroom counter. Maya broke her hold on you to grab your legs and hook them over her own waist. If you weren’t already gone before, now, with the way Maya was between your thighs, you really were. You didn’t care about what promises you made to yourself, what this would feel like the next morning, all you wanted was Maya to keep doing what she was doing and you wouldn’t let anything get in the way of that right now. So when your legs were locked around her and her hands had moved to your pants, you didn’t stop her from popping open the button and undoing the zipper. Maybe, if you were being rational, you should’ve at least insisted on not doing this in the bathroom of a grimey bar, but you weren’t being rational. Honestly, if Maya stopped for even just a second you thought you’d explode. So instead, when Maya’s hands toyed with the edge of your underwear, in your irrational, impatient state, you grabbed her hand and pushed it further down.
Maya also had absolutely no cares in the world. She didn’t care if they kicked the damn door down, she wasn’t going to let anything tear her away from you. In this moment, she tried with all her might to show you that the only one who gets to have you was her. Fuck Jack, she thought as her fingers were instantly met with your wetness when they grazed your folds. She was the one to cause that, she was the one to turn you on and have you already so deliciously disheveled in her arms. It was her, not him. It would never be him or anyone else, she promised herself as her teeth pulled at your lip and you let out a desperate whine. Only she would be the one to touch you like this from now on, she would make sure of it.
Your body shuddered when you felt Maya’s fingers move down through your folds, collecting your wetness. Maya wasn’t wasting any time. She knew, with the precarious location that you two were currently in, that she didn’t have time to draw this out with you. Despite how much she wanted to take her time reminding you of how good only she could make you feel, that would have to come later tonight. At least Maya hoped for it, but with the way you were panting into her mouth as her fingers circled your entrance, she was pretty sure it wouldn’t be hard to convince you to hear her out and go home with her for more.
Maya entered you with two fingers and you immediately let out a small gasp at the feeling. Her lips moved from yours finally and went to your neck. As she began to drag her fingers out of you slowly, you felt her whisper against your skin “fuck, I’ve missed you.” Your teeth sank into your bottom lip as her fingers stopped right at the tips before practically slamming back into you. And then she set a steady pace. It took everything in you not to let a moan slip from your lips as she started to fuck her fingers into you. Her pace wasn’t fast, but her fingers still moved in and out of you with an intensity so strong that her whole body rocked with yours. Your hands moved from their grip on the counter to wrap around her back and hold her closer to you as some sort of anchor for the sheer pleasure she was causing. Maya’s free arm wrapped around your waist to hold you upright while she pressed her whole body more fully into you. Her fingers kept moving and her tongue and teeth were busy running up and down your neck. When her fingers curled inside of you, she also picked a place to focus on your neck, no doubt leaving a large visible mark in her wake.
Her increasing pace and the way she was latching onto your neck was way too much for you. You knew if you were just a little too loud then someone might notice. Yes, there was loud music, but still even that couldn’t drown out all the sounds Maya seemed to be trying to elicit from you. You pulled away from her lips that were currently making their way across your jaw and buried your head into her neck, trying your best to muffle the pitiful whines that were coming from you. Maya was now the one who was utterly smug, loving that you were struggling so hard to control yourself. She pulled your body impossibly closer and buried her own face into the top of your hair while she continued to fuck you.
With her lips now free, Maya began repeating the absolute filthiest things to you as her fingers kept hitting just the right spot. “You feel so fucking good around my fingers,” she groaned as she continued to pump into you. “Cum for me, baby. I want to feel you cum all over my fingers.” All you could do was moan into her neck and grind into your fingers, trying your best to take them even deeper. Maya kept her pace until she felt you tighten around her fingers. Your nails were digging into her skin through her shirt and with one long moan, barely muffled into her shoulder, she felt you cum. Eventually, she slowed her movements to a stop and let your body slump against hers. Your hands relaxed their hold on her back, but you still kept your arms around her.
The room was silent, apart from the sound of both of you trying to catch your breath. Maya pulled her fingers out of you slowly and a shiver ran throughout your body, but you stayed with your head buried in her shoulder. Honestly, you just didn’t want to face her. Now that the heat of the moment was starting to wear off, the shame was setting in. You threw caution to the wind and now you knew pain was coming. To add to all of it, you let her fuck you in a dirty bar bathroom of all places.
Surprisingly, Maya’s arms didn’t leave you. In fact, she didn’t pull away at all. Instead, you felt her lips press to the top of your head.   Another moment passed like that and one of her hands moved to run through your hair. The softness of it all was shocking to you. Definitely not a usual move of Maya’s after a night like this with her.
“Come home with me,” she finally whispered.
“Maya…” you tried to pull back from her, but her arms tightened around you and held you still against her body.
“It’ll be different this time.” She was clearly nervous as she spoke. You didn’t answer her, instead you let her continue to hold you against her. Your mind was weighing your options, trying to gauge how serious she was, but then she whispered a gentle, “Please… I promise it’ll be different.” Without a doubt, you heard the sincerity in her tone that time and, finally, you nodded in agreement.
That night she took you home with her. Jack watched from the bar, trying to cover his knowing smirk with his drink as Maya proudly walked you past him and out of there. To your relief, Maya kept her promise. For the first night, you fell asleep in her strong arms. There was still much to talk about and in all of this Maya still hadn’t actually told you how she felt. But you knew, deep down, you knew you meant something to her. Right now, that was enough.
A/N: Just so you know, next time I write for Maya... I want to destroy her emotionally. So send me some angst requests

Mother’s Day Shenanigans 🩷
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mother’s Day in your household was definitely well you just had to be there to experience everything. Usually Urban would have Phoenix draw you something or make you a little gift.
This year since it was going to be not only Phoenix but Venus as well Urban decided to get pictures taken of the kids but what Urban didn’t realize just how stressful it was going to be working with a 7 year old and a 3 year old.
“Phoenix what are you doing? Venus what are you doing.” Urban so badly wanted to pull all of his hair out as the kids ran around.
He still to this day had no idea how you managed to go grocery shopping with the kids or honestly do anything with them even though that sounded a bit harsh he just had a new source of respect for you and mothers everywhere.
The photographer was looking at Urban wondering what he was going to do, Urban’s cheeks were red from embarrassment. “See and this is exactly why I’m not having kids.” Jack told Urban as he sat back in the chair.
Phoenix and Venus yelled at screamed as they ran around the studio, the two of them running past all the equipment.
“Come on Phoenix stop chasing your sister around and sit on the box.” Urban demanded but of course the kids weren’t listening, Phoenix was too busy chasing around Venus with a flower and surprisingly who would’ve thought Venus hated flowers.
“Daddy!” Venus cried out and eventually ran over towards Urban and his behind his legs. “Stop hiding Venus it’s just a silly flower it won’t hurt you.” Phoenix pushed the flower back in her face making her cry out and make grabby hands so Urban would pick her up.
Phoenix giggled and tossed the flower in her face making her screech and practically claw at Urban’s back.
“Phoenix Wyatt you need to stop terrorizing your sister and sit down on the box so we can take these pictures and get back home before your mother finds out!.”
Urban never raised his voice at any of the kids but he just felt so overwhelmed now he knew exactly how you felt.
Phoenix’s bottom lip began to quiver and before Urban knew it his eyes began to fill with tears and the only sound coming from the studio was his cries.
“Well that does it, come on Phoenix let’s step outside for a bit.” Jack took his little hand and led him outside. Urban sighed and placed Venus on the chair.
“I’m sorry Urban but I have another client in a few minutes so I don’t think I’ll be able to take your pictures, I’m so sorry.” Joey the photographer told Urban he nodded his head in understanding. “Come on Venus let’s just go home.”
When they got outside Phoenix had the rose in his hand and was leaned against the brick wall outside of the studio. “What’s going on?” Urban asked Jack. “We’re about to get that photo shoot one way or another.”
“But the photographer wasn’t able to get any pictures?” Jack rolled his eyes and handed Urban his camera.
“Urban, you literary take pictures for a living I don’t even understand why you tried hiring someone when you can do it yourself.” Jack was right Urban didn’t need some fancy equipment from someone else when he had his own.
“Venus go over there and stand with Phoenix.” Luckily she was able to without Phoenix messing with her and Urban smiled as he took pictures of the kids.
Jack stood in the background making funny noises to keep them entertained and Urban was able to get some good shots.
After taking a few more pictures they all went out to get ice cream while Jack and Venus went to pick out the flavors. Phoenix and Urban stayed back at the benches waiting for the ice cream.
“Daddy?” Phoenix mumbled and Urban looked at him with his eyebrows raised.
“Yes bub?” “Do you not love me anymore?” Phoenix sniffed and wiped his nose with the back of his hand. “What? I don’t hate you Phoenix nor would I ever stop loving you it’s just you need to listen for daddy okay? And you need to stop bugging your sister especially when she doesn’t like it okay?”
Phoenix nodded and scoffed over closer to Urban and leaned against him. “I love you Daddy.” “I love you too Phoenix.”
Once Jack and Venus came back they all ate their ice cream in silence when they finished Urban dropped Jack off at home before going back home himself. You were out of town on a business trip and would be back home tomorrow morning just in time for Mother’s Day.
Urban got the kids showered and put to bed Phoenix somehow conceived Urban to let them all sleep in the living room, while they were all sleep Urban brought out the heart shaped balloons he had bought you along with the flowers, the pictures he took earlier of the kids he hung them on pieces of wire so they’d be dangling from the ceiling.
After he finished he looked around and nodded his head in approval at his work before heading to sleep himself with both of the kids on each side of him.
————————————————————————
“I’m sure the house looks a mess.” You told your friend Annie who was on the phone, you had just got back home and gosh were you glad to be back. “I doubt it but I’ll talk to you later alright?”
“Alright I’ll see you later Annie.” You hung up the phone and unlocked the front door. “I’m home!” You went to yell but stopped seeing all the decorations everywhere and your sleeping husband and kids on the living room floor.
“Oh my babies.” You cried out and coo’d at them sleeping peacefully on the floor, you began to tear up seeing the photos of the kids and the hand written notes from the both of them.
You took off one of the pictures that was hanging down, it was a picture of Phoenix holding Venus’s hand the two of them laughing at the camera.
You adored your kids so much and when you saw the pictures of Urban laying on the grass with the kids jumping on top of him it just sent you completely overboard with emotions.
You started crying and had to step out so you wouldn’t wake Urban and the kids up.
“I told you she’d start crying.” Urban mumbled to Phoenix, he giggled and snuggled back into Urban.
“Why does mommy cry so much?” Venus asked all three of them were peaking from behind the couch as you stood outside on the porch trying to control your emotions.
“Yeah mommy cries so much just like Venus does.” Phoenix stated causing for Venus to stick her tongue out at him. “Phoenix.” Urban said sternly and he stopped.
“Your mommy just has a lot of emotions that’s all.” Urban told them. “Let’s just get back to bed before she makes us clean all this up.” They all headed back to bed instantly.
