“Are you sure you want to do this?” Jonah asked, turned away from his computer screen. 

You sat beside him, anxiously fiddling with your hands. Despite your nervousness, you were adamant to see things through.

Jonah’s community was so sweet and welcoming — and very curious when it came to you — that you were sure things would turn out to be alright. Still, it was a bit scary revealing yourself to them. Part of you did not want to destroy the image they had constructed of you in their head. After all, what if they did not like you? 

Jonah was so proud of the amazing people he had managed to pull together around him that knowing they were disappointed in the partner he was together with would have surely broken your heart. 

“Babe?” he asked, glancing at the chat debating whether or not his snack combination of strawberries and chips was an atrocity, or genius, actually. The majority was bullying him, as usual. 

– That’s as good a combi as pineapple on pizza!

“I want to,” you said, chuckling at the messages. “I’m just a bit scared they won’t like me.”

He scoffed, shaking his head as he looked at you with raised eyebrows. “How could they not?” he asked, taking your hands in his. “They’ll love you. Maybe even more than me. You’re funny. You’re kind. You’re just amazing.” 

“What if they don’t think so?” you said, trying to hide your smile at his compliments. “You’re biased because you love me. Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea, my anxiety is through the roof.” You chuckled, snatching a strawberry from his plate to distract yourself from the feeling of impending doom. 

You wanted to do this. The first time was the worst, you argued. If you could just get it over with — take the first step, leap into the unknown — every time that followed would be a little easier. You were sure Jonah would smooth out the initial awkwardness, creating a sweet environment for his followers to meet you. It was easy. Eventually, you had to get ready for your shift anyway, so you had a perfectly reasonable excuse to leave. Munching on the strawberry, you glanced at the chat again, trying to predict their reaction.

Jonah frowned, leaning forward to face you properly. “Hey, it’s alright,” he said, keeping his voice light to reassure you. “If you don’t feel up to it, we can do it another time. I don’t want to stress you out or anything. I didn’t tell them about this, so there is literally no pressure for you to do anything, babe.”

“No, no. It’s fine,” you said quickly, waving a hand to disperse some of the energy you were overflowing with. It felt like you were vibrating. “I want to do this, Jonah. Let’s go. Let’s do this!”

“Sure?”

“Yeah.”

“Definitely sure?”

“Yes!”

“Are you absolutely, definitely one hundred percent sure?”

“Jonah!” you said, feigning exasperation despite the large grin on your face at his characteristic playfulness. 

He laughed, nudging your shoulder before facing his computer. “Alright babe, here we go,” he muttered, unmuting. “Hey guys, I’m back.”

— Hiiiii

— Welcome back!

— Hey

— WB Jonah

“Listen, I have a surprise for you,” he said, smiling faintly and glancing at you. 

You winked at him, snatching a handful of chips while waiting for your cue to speak. 

“So, some of you know I have a partner.”

— OMG guys!!

— It’s happening everybody stay calm stay fucking calm

— partner reveal? On this fine tuesday? More likely than you think

He chuckled, skimming over the messages.

— I hear crunching in the background. Is it them?

“Oh,” he laughed, “Babe, they heard you stealing my snacks. Yeah, they are eating chips — after eating a strawberry, by the way. So, everyone, meet my amazing partner and” — his voice softened significantly — “the love of my life.”

— Jonah romantic confirmed

“Hi everyone,” you said, leaning against Jonah to be closer to the microphone. “Nice to finally meet you. I’ve been told you’ve heard a lot about me.”

“Only good things, babe, I promise,” Jonah cut in, wrapping his arm around you to pull you closer against his side. “Right, guys? Don’t lie.”

You chuckled, leaning your head against his shoulder while reading the replies. 

— He literally won’t shut up about you

— only heard about how cool you are. He’s in love

— noooo he’s super mean behind your back /s

— Lies! He told us you ate Strawberries and chips. Pleases say you’re normal /lh

“I did try strawberries and chips,” you answered. 

“See! It’s good, right?”

You made a face. “Meh, I wouldn’t go that far,” you said, laughing at Jonah’s affronted noise. 

“Traitor,” he mumbled, scowling as his lips twisted into a fond smile. “You have no taste.”

“I have excellent taste, actually.”

“Yeah?”

“Yeah, you know why?” you asked, biting your lip to hide the grin at the reply on your lips. 

Jonah glanced at you, narrowing his eyes before looking at the chat again. “What are you going to say now, I wonder?”

— BECSAUSE THEY CHOSE U

You looked him straight in the eye. “Because yesterday, I made that really delicious chicken curry and you thought it was too spicy to eat, but then you tried it and devoured the whole plate in seconds!”

“Alright, no need to expose me,” he said in false annoyance, a little pout adorning his face. 

— Ultimate question though: pineapple on pizza yay or nay?

“Uh,” you stalled, eyes widening at the chat now going a mile a minute. You glanced at Jonah, watching him shake his head at the discussion inevitably returning to food.

“It’s always the same thing with you,” he said, returning to playing Minecraft. He picked up a strawberry. “Pineapple on pizza is good.”

Buffy, the vampire slayer: Surprise - Happy Birthday Buffy! Fancy the gift of a dismembered Smurf reassembled for your carnage pleasures? How about the gift of learning Spike and Dru are alive and well… I know! How about the gift of your boyfriend having to leave town by boat at night with only a severed Smurf hand to keep him company? What’s this… a Claddagh ring? The gift of loyalty, friendship and love! Suddenly I’m moist and it might be due to the sudden rain that came out of nowhere whilst running through the graveyard, but it might also be a more romantic kind of moist. Jokes aside, this episode is powerful and sets in motion a change in the series and a storyline that arguably remains the best one the series ever did. Gellar and Boreanaz are perfect and knowing what comes next makes the ending quite heartbreaking. Also, I learnt things from Becoming Buffy podcast, this was the last episode of Buffy to air on a Monday before airing on the “new” Tuesday’s on the WB. Hence why I’m posting this on Monday… but you know what’s coming tomorrow… tears! Rocket launchers! And nut sacks being firmly kicked!

MONKIE KID IS NOT GETTING CANCELLED!!!

I know it feels like it, but this is not the end of LMK. Why? Cause we would have been told so. Sure, seasons drop out of the sky randomly on a Tuesday, but trust me when I say we will be told this.

As for the recent news, that can be chalked up to two things. The Amazon take down is if anything what we have been waiting for. Amazon no longer has the rights for seasons 1 and 2, which means they can be handed off to someone else. This is a good thing cause it means we have a second shot at getting a better streaming platform for monkie kid. We just gotta wait and see.

As for the set thing, your guess is as good as mine. With only two sets coming, I'm assuming there is a reason behind it, and someone theorized there will be a hiatus. Which would also be good for the series. Giving WB more time to work on that while they also work on other stuff too.

Here is the thing, Monkie Kid is doing amazing in China. They have a bunch of big stuff over there, and are even getting sections in Lego Parks. To say this is the end of monkie kid is jumping the gun here.

Not to mention, no one has brought up any sort of confirmation of this being canceled, which is why I'm super skeptical. Monkie Kid is a show in an unusual situation. It was meant to be China exclusive, but then got more it bargained for.

So please, for the love of Nuwa, DO YOUR RESEARCH! DON'T JUMP TO CONCLUSUONS! AND STOP SPREADONG THE FIRST THING THAT COMES TO YOUR BRAIN! I SAY THIS CAUSE I CARE ABOUT MY FELLOW FANS AND WANT ALL THIS MISINFORMATION BULLSHIT TO JUST STOP!

Smallville @ 20: Tom Welling Opens Up About Nixed Season 1 Suit-Up, Batman Ban and Our 'Best CW Show' Tourney

As Smallville marks a full 20 years since its premiere, Tom Welling says that he now is in a “much happier” place when it comes to his relationship with the superhero origin series.

Having struggled back in the day with his responsibility as the lead of the popular WB-turned-CW series (and the demands put on him), “As time goes on, I am enjoying Smallville more,” Welling shared in a new TVLine Q&A pegged to this Tuesday’s release of Smallville: The Complete Series on Blu-ray for the first time ever. “I wish I could go back [to my 2001 self] and just say, ‘Take a beat, and appreciate this.'”

In the interview below, Welling also revisits the not-so-super limitations Smallville contended with at the time, reflects on how the series set an example for the eventual Arrowverse, and he has a thing or two to say about how TVLine’s “Best CW Show Ever” tournament played out.

TVLINE | I don’t know if you’ve heard, but TVLine recently conducted a bracket tournament to determine “The Best CW Show Ever”….

TVLINE | In the Final Four, Supernatural beat Arrow, and Smallville beat Vampire Diaries.

TVLINE | The final was then Supernatural against Smallville. There was lots of drama, lots of voting, and…. Supernatural won, 77 percent to 23 percent.

Yeah, I can kind of…. Unfortunately, I can kind of see that. Is it because it lasted longer?

TVLINE | Could be. You guys had a good run, though — 10 years versus 15.

Yeah. I mean, we were more watchable. [Laughs] No, I love those guys, they’re buddies of mine. I like the way that [tournament] trickled down, though. It made a lot of sense. Especially with, like, [Smallville against] One Tree Hill and Vampire Diaries? Like, come on.

TVLINE | When Supernatural rolled around, did you get a sense that it was going to have some legs?

You know what, I did — probably more than I did about Smallville, to be honest. Because with Smallville, I was in it. I was trying to tread water every minute, every day, trying to keep it going. Nobody tells you that you’re going to be successful, even when you are successful. No one tells you that you’re going to be there for a long period of time, but knowing Jared [Padalecki] and Jensen [Ackles] and then watching Supernatural, from the outset I could see where the two of them made that show. And there was a point in that show where they started separating, and I was like, “You guys, the show is you guys together.” Like, that’s what it is.

It was obviously a different show than Smallville, but you’re right, when I saw Supernatural, I was like, this show’s going to work. I could never look at Smallville that way, only because maybe I didn’t want to let myself feel that way, perhaps. I didn’t want to, like, get comfortable.

Gilmores prove life doesn’t end after 40

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. — There's a certain irony in the fact that the WB — the network that targets teens and twentysomethings — has the two most believable, most well-rounded characters in their 60s on television.

And Richard and Emily Gilmore, as portrayed by 61-year-old Edward Herrmann and 60-year-old Kelly Bishop, have been an integral part of "The Gilmore Girls" since the show began 100 episodes ago.

"I know the WB is known as a young network and viewed, I think, a little bit too much that way," Bishop said. "This show is multigenerational. And, frankly, it's not about my own ego, but I wouldn't be inclined to watch this show as a viewer if it weren't for us, because I'm going to identify with an older person. I'm not going to be watching shows about teenagers because I've been there, done that."

In a medium that places such a high value on youth, the elder Gilmores are such an anomaly they're almost alone.

Herrmann replied with humor to questions about his "elder" status. "Let me get out of my wheelchair and dance," he said, affecting a truly elderly voice.

"That's kind of wonderful, too, that we're still alive," Bishop said. "And, what, 60 is the new 30, right?"

Well, maybe, but Richard and Emily have never had to act like teenagers to get airtime on "Gilmore Girls." They're not simply saccharin grandparents, they're complicated people living imperfect lives.

"It's interesting. It's wonderful," Herrmann said. "I mean, these people are lively. You don't die after the age of 40."

The Emmy-winning actor said the show's writers have "done a wonderful job with Richard."

"He's a fellow who's gone through a number of changes. . . . There have been a lot of plot lines for him, which I find true to life. So I haven't been bored at all."

The premise of the show is that their daughter, Lorelai (Lauren Graham), got pregnant when she was 16 and decided to keep and raise the baby on her own. Which, not surprisingly, drove a wedge between her and her parents.

A wedge that remained until Lorelai's daughter, Rory (Alexis Bledel), was a teenager and Lorelai had to turn to her wealthy parents for financial help to send Rory to private school. That reopened the daughter-parents relationship and gave Richard and Emily their first chance to really get to know their granddaughter, but it's a rift that's never been entirely healed.

"What I look for at the end of the tunnel is the reconciliation between (Richard and Lorelai) in some way," Herrmann said. But when he has raised the issue with creator/executive producer Amy Sherman-Palladino, "She said, 'Not yet. We can't. There's a wonderful tension between the two that you want to try to maintain.'

"So it's great fun. And, actually, (executive producers) Amy (Sherman-Palladino) and Dan (Palladino) have given us really good stuff to do this year."

Good stuff that culminates Tuesday (7 p.m., Ch. 30) as Richard and Emily renew their wedding vows. The couple, married almost four decades, have been separated since last season. Not separated by much — Richard moved into the pool house — but their relationship had deteriorated badly.

"I love the idea because I think that those of you who are in long-term relationships will realize that you have, of course, that initial love/lust and all that," Bishop said, "and then it settles down. And then it kind of hits a point sometimes in a relationship where you're really bored with the other person and kind of think, hmmmm.

"And then out of no place and for no particular reason . . . you look at the person one day and you are so in love with them all over again."

It made for some great material for Bishop and Herrmann. Over the 99 previous episodes, they've done comedy, they've done drama, they've had surprises and they've always come across as real.

"The palette is rich. There's a lot of stuff to talk about," Herrmann said.

"I mean, almost to slapstick," Bishop said. "I finally got to do physical comedy climbing out of the basement window. (Richard accidentally locked Emily in.) That was so much fun."

And she loves playing a woman who's not exactly a caring, nurturing mother/grandmother. Emily Gilmore loves Lorelai and Rory, but she expresses that love in a manipulative way that drives her daughter crazy.

She's at it again in the 100th episode, using Rory's father, Christopher (David Sutcliffe), to try to end Lorelai's romance with Luke (Scott Patterson) — a relationship she doesn't approve of.

"I've gotten some really nice, vicious things to say to people," Bishop said, "which I always enjoy. . . . She's a piece of work, but, yeah, I had a lot of fun this year. Amy gave me some really nasty things to say."

Sherman-Palladino is amused at how Bishop — "one of the nicest people in the world" — takes so much joy in playing Emily, who is not. "I just love that she's so excited that she gets to be horrible to people."

But Bishop said she doesn't always understand viewers' reactions to the character.

"I'm surprised. People seem to really like her. And I haven't figured that out yet, because I think she's just horrible," she said. "I love playing her because she's so mean.

"And every once in a while people say they identify with her and I say, 'Why? I'm glad you're enjoying my performance, but you don't have to like Emily. Because I don't particularly like her. I like playing her.' "

Eternal Life, Thanks to Angels and Abs

SURREY, British Columbia — The first episode of the scary-monster show “Supernatural,” in which a college student came home and found his girlfriend on the ceiling, roasting like a blond marshmallow, was shown by the WB network on Sept. 13, 2005.

Since then quite a few shows have come and gone — “Breaking Bad,” “Friday Night Lights,” “30 Rock,” “Dexter,” to name a few — but “Supernatural” is still here, now on CW on Tuesday nights. Midway through its ninth demon-stabbing, vampire-decapitating, angel-ganking season, it’s the sixth-longest-running drama currently in prime time — and it’s already been renewed for another season.

How does a show that gets relatively little attention and even less credit in the age of the prime-time drama find itself on a short list with series like “Law & Order: SVU” and “Grey’s Anatomy”? We went to the suburbs of Vancouver, where the 190th episode was being shot, to ask. Here are some possibilities.

It’s about the hair.

Between takes at the seedy-motel location — an actual seedy motel here, about 40 minutes south of Vancouver, just above the American border — several young women trot out and run their fingers through the hair of the stars, Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki.

“The way my hair is, if I get out of the shower and put a beanie on or something, it just kind of lays,” said Mr. Padalecki, whose leonine tresses are one of the show’s trademarks. “But it doesn’t lay well for the camera, because it’ll cover” — he gestures to his face — “the thing.”

Mr. Ackles, whose laugh is like the crack of the show’s magic Colt revolver, said, “I’m fairly certain that that mop is solely responsible for the 10th-season pickup.”

It’s about the brothers.

Mr. Ackles and Mr. Padalecki play Dean and Sam Winchester, brothers with a family tradition of demon hunting. Mr. Ackles was 26 and Mr. Padalecki 22 when the show began, and they are “Supernatural” — conversations with co-stars, show runners and network and studio presidents always come around to Jensen and Jared, Jared and Jensen.

In the motel parking lot, through endless takes in the February chill, they set the tone, joking with the crew, then discussing with the director how to block a scene in which they’re thrown against their black 1967 Impala by the flick of an angel’s finger.

“At the end of the day we have a very good understanding that a lot of it comes down to he and I, and how we relate to each other on- and off-screen,” Mr. Ackles said. “That was impressed upon us very early on by Eric Kripke,” the show’s creator. “He sat us down the first episode and said, ‘Listen, guys, this begins and ends with you.’ ”

It’s about Joseph Campbell. And masculinity.

Misha Collins plays the naïve but deadly angel Castiel, the Winchesters’ mascot and fellow warrior. He studied social theory at the University of Chicago and worked in the Clinton White House and he’s a very smart man, so we should probably listen: “The show deals with universally appealing mythology story lines, the kind of stuff that Joseph Campbell would be proud to see on television,” he said, “but grounds it in personal relationships.”

“It’s really a show about boys becoming men,” he added. “It’s about manhood and these guys who vacillate between testosterone-infused knife fights and gun battles and then crying on one another’s shoulders, having their intimate brotherhood-of-men moments. And I think that’s something you don’t see that much of on television.”

And angels.

“It used to be about guys on the road hunting urban legends,” Mr. Padalecki said, referring to the first four or five seasons sketched out by Mr. Kripke, who pitched the show as “Route 66” meets “The X-Files.” “And then angels came in,” he added, and that annoyed them. “We’re like: ‘We didn’t sign up for a religious show. I don’t want to make a statement on angels. I came to do “X-Files.” ’ But it’s kept on finding new ground.”

Robert Singer, the series’s longtime show runner, said: “The biggest tipping point was the introduction of angels. It seemed to be a natural place to go once we’d gone so far into demon stories.”

It’s about Netflix.

As with many other shows these days, everyone involved credits online streaming of past seasons for increasing current viewership. “We’ve had a real jump in teenagers who are watching the show,” Mr. Singer said. “They were 5 or 6 when it started, and they didn’t know the show from Adam. The fact that they can go back and see it from the beginning and get themselves invested to watch it now is a big thing.”

It’s about beefcake.

Mr. Padalecki is 6-foot-5, Mr. Ackles is 6 feet, and together they are, as Mr. Padalecki puts it, “400 pounds of dude.” Misha Collins said, “Yeah, I think we would be lying to ourselves if we weren’t admitting that that’s an aspect of this dynamic.”

The Winchesters politely demur. Mr. Padalecki: “As flattering as that is, out of 190 episodes I think I’ve taken my shirt off less than 10 times.” Mr. Ackles: “We probably keep our clothes on more than any other show on this network.”

But what the heck. “If people watch because Jensen’s handsome or they like my hair, and then they say, ‘This is a really cool show, they really put their heart and soul into this and I’ll tune in again,’ fine,” Mr. Padalecki said. “Whatever gets them in the seats, right?”

It’s about the fans.

Whether it’s angels, abs or both, the cast members spend part of every summer break traveling around the world to “Supernatural” fan conventions.

“When we go to São Paulo for a convention and there are 50 people camped out on the hotel doorstep just waiting to get a glimpse of us,” Mr. Collins said, “and when we go into the halls and there are 1,500 or 2,000 people and the screaming will be so deafening we have to cover our ears — it’s like we have this one moment where you can feel like you’re a Beatle. And then you get to go about your normal life the rest of the year.”

Not all fans are content simply to attend conventions. Some of them want to take a hand in the story, and their fan fiction can explore areas mostly untouched on the show, like the latent homoerotic suggestiveness of the Winchesters’ intense relationship. Asked if he reads any of this material, Mr. Ackles said: “I don’t. I know it’s out there, and I’m, I’m — the people that have asked me about it are well aware that I would rather not know about that.”

It’s about humility.

The Winchesters — that is, Mr. Ackles and Mr. Padalecki — are enthusiastic and accommodating interview subjects, seeking out a reporter at every break to talk up their underdog show, finishing each other’s sentences, always agreeing. They reflect their characters, or vice versa: Mr. Ackles is the quiet, watchful older brother, keeping an eye on the eagerly talkative Mr. Padalecki.

Jensen: “We both had strong fathers who instilled a good work ethic in us.”

Jared: “And I think a gratitude for the work. And there’s certainly times — ”

Jensen: “A respect — ”

Jared: “A respect for everybody — ”

Jensen: “And humble.”

Jared: “There have been times when I’ve let myself get overwhelmed with, ‘Oh, I feel so overworked.’ And Ackles has been like: ‘Dude. Remember.’ And I’m like, ‘Oh yeah.’ ”

It’s about the future.

“Supernatural” is projected to hit the 200-episode milestone next season; a pilot for a spinoff series, “Supernatural: Bloodlines,” will be shown April 29. How long can the magic last?

“As long as these numbers keep up, and as long as these guys want to do it, ‘Supernatural’ will stay on the air,” said Mark Pedowitz, president of CW. If he doesn’t keep the promise, there’s a 12-inch angel dagger with his name on it.

Similarities / same energy with them. They are both so polite in shaking hands with people or handing things to them, I love them. such good boys! Also them minding their own business and all alone in a public event.

p3 and p4 makes me sad, but not entirely cause i understand why it has to be this way and the reason why they are quiet can be a lot of things. they may be tired or they feel unsettled in public events like this when all eyes are on them. yes i’m sure they know that it comes with the fact that they are famous celebrities but it doesn’t mean it makes it easier for them. even if they have friends or acquaintances, they cannot interact with them freely. i miss the times when they attend events together, at least they had each other to fall back on in interviews or just generally keeping each other company. one day, I hope they will have that again.

we also noticed that bobo had his airpods on from his car to the event (see gif below). maybe he was listening to music earlier or he was talking to someone. also after the event when he left secretly, he was holding his phone. he was wearing a long coat that’s a similar style to what GG was seen in last tuesday. GG holding his phone and texting at the airport. Web also having his phone with him. What’s so special right? These two almost never bring their phones out in public. If you’ve seen photos and videos of them at airports, leaving events etc — they don’t bring it out. maybe they don’t want to miss a message from each other. 🥺🥺🥺

There were some comments on wb of turtles who were sad that the 🦴 is missing. This is Web’s first public appearance after GG’s video leak and i guess some people are unneccesarily fragile over it. Let’s just take step back and think about what this event is. It’s a dinner organized by Chanel as well as their 2023 spring and summer preview series viewing. Everyone in that room is wearing Chanel and as their ambassador, would it be good to wear a necklace that wasn’t from the brand? I mean come on. He was front and center along with 9 other people and in the middle. He was also the only one wearing something from the preview collection. He is, so to speak, the Belle of the Ball 😂

Lastly, let me address the MV performance of Xiao Zhan that was leaked today. To be fair, it was deleted pretty quickly and everyone were wondering what is it from. It was supposedly from Mid-Autumn Festival 2021 and it was cut. I don’t wanna speculate further on why it was not shown in public but here we are. It’s a performance of the song “Accompany you through Time” by Eason Chan and from the OST of the movie A Journey Through Time with Antony. I don’t really want to CPN too much in songs that are performed for events like this. Mid-Autumn festival is a big deal, so i’m thinking XZ is not the only one who made a decision on the song. They might have given him a list, but yeah, the production team is the one who will have a final say.

A screenshot was going around of where it was from but we can’t fully trust things on the internet. But it said that the director posted it on an APP that was supposedly for the advertising circle. and well, it’s XZ so of course it will get out. OP said the director is problematic and i agree. These unreleased things cannot be shared because even if they are the director, the do not own the rights. It’s a copyright violation. Maybe that’s why it was wiped so quickly.

It was such a beautiful performance tho. 🥲🥲🥲 we need more Singer! XZ. My favorite will be the last part tho. The sound of the bells and him all alone with the Moon. 🌙

💗 Pearls Of Madness /(KinnPorsche Series- KimChay)- This is looking like a series and possibly the end to my sanity, but in a very sexy way, I guess. Kim decides to start changing up some of WIK’s stylings to a bit more of an androgynous angle as he sort of explores that about himself. He’s not really sure about it but every time he introduces a new piece Chay sort of loses his mind? And Kim’s both addicted to exploring this facet of himself AND the way his Angel reacts so... He escalates things. Aggressively. (And so does Chay.) There are no losers here.

💗 It Was One Time (And We Were Drunk) /(Cutie Pie Series-  YiLian) Uh so literally anything for my babes and my SoulSister be like ‘you should do the thing’ so I’m likely to do the thing and promptly. The thing is: YiLian by accident before Diao and Kuea come back into their lives. So this is like, Cutie Pie Series Top x Top Club Shenanigans possibly drunk before their sweetlings return from whatever foreign country they’re living in before university).

💗 Cafe/Bakery AU (KP/WB KimChay)- Soft boys flirting IDK man it’s just... in my head. Obsession with food, cafe surroundings, general soft soft soft pastel life here.

💗 At Your Service (KP Series- KimChay) So this is actually a Chay post-kidnapping story idea... previous anxiety highly exacerbated due to some of his experiences in the Mafia family. Planning on him being out in public (possibly with Kim, possibly to meet Kim, possibly just trying to run errands and be normal without any bodyguards to his knowledge- up in the air) and having a panic attack. A working SD and handler find him and help him through it and while they’re sitting and talking she mentions to Chay he might benefit from a dog.. But in the mean time, is there anyone they should call? (Why I’m leaning on Kim not being there because he’d show up too soon and spoil this H/C moment unless he was IDK trapped on a phone call with a manager or something. If Chay’s going to meet Kim, Kim could show up after they’ve had a chance to talk. If Chay’s on his own, they call Kim... If Chay only thinks he managed to be out on his own, Kim’s bodyguard that’s been tailing Chay has called Kim and Kim flies in ready to protect his (ex?) baby and finally some talking can happen.) Anyway, about the time Kim’s getting his back up about Chay talking to some strange girl, her Korean boyfriend turns up and off they go. (It won’t be until later that Kim realizes that was one of the Korean Mafia and he has a meltdown all over again.)

💗 Mafia Queens AU (KP x Several Shows/References Multiverse Collab Nightmare) Essentially after Kinn more or less makes Porsche his ‘Queen’ there’s a formal event where Mafia from different countries are showing up to acknowledge the change of power, admit they’ve removed some of Korn & Co’s Generation/Allies from their own organizations, etc. Porsche gets dressed up (Corset!Porsche my beloved!) by a friend of his that turns out to be one of the Korean Mafia Queens (she’s a returning OC from above, the girl with the dog), because it might be fun to have Kinn get jealous over a nonthreatening character and let him be rewarded with a very excellent visual (and some delicious sex, when they finally get around to peeling said outfit off of Porsche).

With Warner Bros. stepping up to stage on Tuesday at CinemaCon, let's take a look at what's going on with some of their DC Comics properties.

-Official poster for the JOKER sequel, JOKER: FOLIE À DEUX.

Variety ran an exclusive piece saying that the film is a jukebox musical with at least 15 cover songs and may have a few original songs.

The trailer is expected to drop after WB's panel on the 9th.

-Director Craig Gillespie (CRUELLA, I, TONYA) in reportedly in talks to direct SUPERGIRL, starring HOUSE OF THE DRAGON's Milly Alcock, who will appear in one DC project before making her solo debut.

Alcock's Supergirl will be based on the 2022 comic series SUPERGIRL: WOMAN OF TOMORROW. This iteration of Supergirl is described as more "hardcore" than previous versions.

-MORE DC STUDIOS TALK-

It's assumed we will start seeing the building blocks to James Gunn's new DC universe with the July 11, 2025 release of SUPERMAN LEGACY. In the film is María Gabriela de Faría who will be Angela Spika aka The Engineer, in that film. The character of Spika/The Engineer is one of the founding members of The Authority -which is a future WB/DC project.

I don't even know if this timeline is still in play.

Gunn says CREATURE COMMANDOS (whoever they are) is still in play.

-In the DC fold was Vertigo, which was the home of the DEAD BOY DETECTIVES, whose live-action series bows on Netflix April 25th.

Who are our Dead Boy Detectives?

Ok, I know this is showing my ignorance, but how does Nexstar get digital profit? I understand same day views and 3+/7+. Is digital just any views on the CW app following the 7 days? If so, how do they get profit, is it still from advertisers? Do they show their digital results, or is that just for their private use? Are you saying that HBO Max's international numbers for TW indicate what the CW app is getting in the US? Why do you think TW ep8 came back at only 363K vs the almost 550K it was doing? Thought ep. 8 was the best so far. imo. Sorry to bug you, but i really want to understand. Also, the fact that they are double airing TW is something I haven't seen before?

The basic thing is that the app still is owned by nexstar. By the way I'm using voice to text so forgive any weird typos that happened. But that said, for a few years now even before they took over the CW has bundled their live ad packages with their digital ad packages. Basically and they sell the space of the show together as a bundle. When you are buying live ad space for the winchester's, you are also buying digital ad space on the Winchester's which is then targeted closer to the specific demographics or regions you are looking to hit with your package.

Digital still uses 18 to 49 in that sense. Or in any service that still uses classic advertising rather than subscription models. The HBO Max numbers are OUSA. The digital views of American viewership is at large flowing through the CW app and that bundled advertisement space.

The reason we are getting a double viewing which you are correct is not normal, is because we are basically being set up as the future franchise both for WB and for nexStars CW. Because again I need you to look at those numbers from HBO and understand that the US market is actually the highest audience, and that is where the network is actually pulling its profit from hand over fist. The reruns still pull close to what other shows like Walker were averaging most of the season with new content. And it raised the 9:00 p.m. slot by 50% for the live. Meaning they are raising the value of Tuesday over all while setting a strong branding image for the future and ensuring attention is hit to capitalize on cycling viewership between themselves and HBO. This is part of the plan nexstar has to become a profitable Network in the next couple years

If you go back into my blog since the dawn of time long before anybody tried to hop on the trend bus to talk about ratings, you will see that every year there tends to be declined in the later half of a season. There are limits to this and things that can influence this such as heavy targeted marketing but at the end of the day it doesn't matter. They also knew that the legacy characters would be on the back end of the season and start amping up viewership that way as well. It's all a really well coordinated launch that benefits both Warner Brothers and nexstar

Are TW's live demo as great as AAs say?

I keep hearing from Goob, Dot and co how TW's live demo numbers are great and how instead of using Total Number of Viewers, Nexstar is going to use Demo ones as the parameter for renewals this time around. I am not a tv expert, but I am here to debunk them (and for free). Tw's demo numbers are not great. At least not as a progression. These people used it as a face value instead of a variable that it is. Having the 0.12, 0.10 or 0.9 by itself doesnt mean much in the grand scheme of things if you dont use total number of viewers as you second variable. Let me explain why and do the mathing that they're not doing so people won't know that what they are saying -and some paying to hear about it - is wrong. Before the math: 

What's demo? Demo is short for demographics. It is a segment of a total number of viewers separated by a specific criteria. Ex: You can have demos by location (cities/states/countries), ages and more.

Generally, media outlets report the 18-49 demo. That means the percentage of the total number of viewers watching a show ranging from the ages of 18 to 49 years old. Why this range? After much research done by reliable Marketing Agencies, it is proven that this coveted segment has disposable income to spend. 18-49 is not the only demo and not all advertisers target only 18-49, but a sizable number of them do.

When reported, demo numbers are represented from 0.0 to 1.0 - that means from 0 to 100%. So if you see 0.04 or 0.17, they mean 4% and 17%, respectively.  

Here an example of how numbers are reported. This was the table for shows aired on January 26th. For this post, we are looking at the numbers under the Finals column

A quick reading shows us that Walker had 757K as a total and 0.10 of demo, meaning 10% of the total viewers were in the 18-49 range.

Now, lets see the numbers for TW according SpoilerTV:

These numbers are from episodes 1 to 8. For last night's episode:

Now, for the math, I am doing it only for the premiere and last night episodes cause tahts what's relevant.

Premiere = 12%(0.12) of 781k = 93,720 people in the 19-48 demo

Last night = 6%(0.06) of 347k (9 oclock slot the new episode) = 20,820 people in the 19-48 demo

So from the premiere to last night TW:

Lost 434k in total numbers which represents about 55% loss;

Lost almost 73k in 18-49 demo, representing a whopping loss of about 77%.

So tell me how the demo numbers can support their theory that TW is going to be renewed when it is an even higher loss than total viewers numbers?

Unless the information in this post is accurate and NextStar will renew it due to contractual obligations with WB not because of number, then the renewal would make sense, but it wouldnt be because its presenting positive numbers.

Fun fact: Using TFW2.0 post info still about why TW is being double featured on Tuesdays, not even with stacking the show in consecutive slots helped the network reach the minimum impressions CW/NextStar sold their advertisers (sold minimum 750k but the actual impressions number was 633k for last night).

I do find it interesting that the Deadline article about TW cancellation mentions (without a quote from the Ackles or Robbie):

Having seen the writing on the wall, The Winchesters studio Warner Bros. Television has been preparing to look for a new home, and plans to be aggressive in its efforts, we hear.

while just the day before they published and article WITH a quote from Jared about trying to find a new home for WIndy with very similar phrasing:

Walker Independence executive producer Jared Padalecki is not giving up hope that the show will find a way to go on and says a search is underway to find a new home for Season 2. Following the CW’s cancellation of the Walker prequel series Tuesday, Padalecki tells Deadline’s sister site TVLine, “We are aggressively looking for a place that Walker Independence can land.”

So basically they took Jared's quote and pretty much repurposed it for TW article without actually talking to the Ackles or Robbie. It's that "aggressive" part that really gives it away because it's such a specific statement.

Mostly because of the wording, but also because nothing about the show's promotion has been aggressive, so why act like that now? In fact, if WB's is expecting CMP to shop it (since Robbie's currently on strike), then I'm especially curious because none of CMP's actions towards the prequel (after the initial announcement and Jensen's gaslighting of SPN fans) have been aggressive. A couple of weeks of Twitter posts? A couple of IG lives (including a desperately pathetic birthday party for Dean)? They put so little effort into that show that to think they'll put effort into continuing it is laughable.
