CHARACTER OF ALL TIME Like it's not that he's dumb, somehow the actor manages to pull it off that it's not that Buck's an idiot, because he's perfectly capable and intelligent in so many other scenes, it's just that he has pure Adorable Puppy Vibes, he's so earnest and so open about what he doesn't know and so ready to learn that it's actually incredibly charming, but also sometimes you're watching a show and a grown-ass man makes the most adorable confused face and asks in all seriousness, "What's a bassoon?" and you have to laugh your ass off for awhile. PLEASE WATCH 911 FOR EVAN BUCKLEY YOU GUYS.

Whether Marisol is in episode 1 or not (right now, I don't think she is, I feel like the actress would have advertised if that were the case), I think it's important that the show is still framing Buck, Eddie, and Chris as a family through Shannon. It emphasizes that even if Eddie is with Marisol now, Buck is the person who truly knows him and has been a part of his struggles and triumphs since the beginning. Buck is the person at home talking Chris through his issues with Shannon like a second parent would, not Marisol. In that sense, I almost want Marisol to show up so that the audience gets the full effect of the comparison.

I'm one who doesn't think they'll do a Buck bi reveal unless Buddie is basically locked and loaded. For a number of reasons, it just wouldn't make sense. But what I'm almost more excited for is the show just unabashedly bringing the Buddie dynamic back. I can't wait to see Buck and Eddie acting like a family again and being each other's first point of contact in a disaster.

Hi, so a few days ago I was looking for a new series to watch and stumbled across 9-1-1, which I've seen gifs from on your blog so I thought, why not? and started watching. I'm somewhere in series 3 now and completely obsessed and love these characters so much, so thank you for the indirect rec (but also this feels like the entrance to a whole new rabbit hole and I really don't need that right now)

Ummm hi omg hearing this makes me so happy! I'm still very new to the show (and actually at the end of s3 myself) but it has completely taken over my life and I love them all so much 🥺 So yeah it's definitely a rabbit hole and ngl the emotions it's making me feel are often A LOT, but I'm still so incredibly giddy and happy about it all 💖💖💖 Also? If you ever end up making 911 art, buddie or otherwise, I'd be so stoked to see it!

Re: tags for 911

The most practical thing to make sure nothing slips through the cracks may be to either double tag it as #911 fox and #911 abc. We could also tag it as #911 abc for anything regarding season 7 onwards and keep #911 fox for things before season 7.

Tagging it as #911 only may "muddle" the tag with posts referring to other things, so #911 show could be another option?

I am finished with season two of the weewoo show and I have to admit, there was a point when I thought that I had become desensitized to this show. A lady's face falls off during surgery? Gross, but not like wild compared to what came before. A guy gets stuck in an escalator? Meh. The lady with the shoe in her face was vaguely interesting, but not wild. A mudslide trapping a woman under a tree in her own house? Kind of boring. Guy gets stuck in an Amazon box delivery and is about to be shipped across the country? Inventive, but didn't have that spark. And then. AND THEN!!!!

SHARK ON THE FREEWAY. I LOST IT SO HARD I HAD TO FUMBLE FOR THE REMOTE TO PAUSE THE TV WHILE I LAUGHED. NOT JUST A SHARK OVERTURNED ON THE FREEWAY BITING SOME DUDE'S ARM BECAUSE HE WAS TRYING TO WATER IT BUT THEN THEY CARRIED THE SHARK ON THE FRONT OF THE TRUCK IN A NET WITH "TOUCH OF GRAY" PLAYING WHILE THEY DROVE IT TO THE OCEAN

Fucking magnificent, this show is god-tier BONKERS and I should never have doubted it.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I rewatched 7x06 and really don't see any jealousy on Eddie's part. I understand buddie shippers. And him not being jealous now doesn't mean there is no chance of buddie ever happening. However, right now, he seems happy to see Buck and Tommy happy.
