Q: Do you like true crime and mysteries? (where are my murderinos at? 😂) I'm a massive true crime fan. And the only thing I enjoy more than a good true crime documentary or podcast is a good historical mystery based on murders in history. One of my favourite parts of the Stalking Jack the Ripper series was that every killer in the series was based on a real historical serial killer. Q: Who is looking forward to the weekend? I am and I'm hoping it goes smoother than my last 24 hours have. I've had so many small but really annoying/ inconvenient things go wrong 😩 It got to the point where I just gave up on the day and read some fluffy romances because my brain needed a break. Happy release day to The Prison Healer by @lynettenoni !! ⁣ ⁣ You all know that I’ve been gushing about this book since I read it. It seriously is so good! ⁣ ⁣ I knew nothing about The Prison Healer when the cover caught my eye on netgalley. I was immediately drawn in by the cover and title. I requested it and was thrilled to be approved! And dang! It did NOT disappoint. ⁣ ⁣ The Prison Healer is a high stakes fantasy with exceptional world-building, a fantastic cast of characters, and beautiful themes of friendship, hope, and survival. TPH follows Kiva, a young healer at a brutal prison, whose life changes overnight when a new prisoner arrives. There’s action, an intense atmosphere, and MAJORLY epic twists. This was the jaw on the floor cliffhanger that I was referring to in yesterday’s post. The good news is that the sequel is set to be released later this year ... so not too long of a wait! I’ll try to survive until then. ⁣ ⁣ Ahhh I love this book so much! You all NEED to read it! (So jealous of all of you that got the box from @hmhteen ).
