#theme help: customization

Hey! I just started using Stereo & am loving it, but with the background image I inserted, it's kind of hard to read the blog title/bio text. Is there a way to alter the code to include some kind of text box (box shadow? higlight? not sure the proper word, I've been browsing around code sites) to add some visual contrast?

You could give the sidebar a background color:

I think every Tumblr user should have a custom HTML blog themes, tacky fandom scarves, and weird shipping walls and whatever else you can shove on a blog. Hyper specific custom pages, cute pixel cursors, those fun koi fish, and even the dreaded auto play playlists.

I just can’t handle the enshittification that forces everything to look the same save for maybe an icon and some minor color changes.

i made a sideblog which sole purpose is to act as a character page for rory (my gw2 commander, not me lol), meaning there will be no content whatsoever on it except for the three existing info posts

at first i wanted to just do a custom theme (which i did, still a work in progress) but i realised it would only be visible on desktop so i made the posts for mobile users

they are... long posts that probably aren't dashboard friendly because of that haha but i do have lots to say about him

Hi! I'm glad you love the theme! I did never add search to the theme, I'm not even sure why.

I've added search as an optional feature to the theme now. You'll need to reinstall it from the Theme Garden and toggle the "Show Search" option. (You might have to reload the page and toggle the switch for it to work properly)

tumblr is one of the only refuges artists have without fighting twitter’s worsening algorithm or instagram’s image crunching so i think on top of being vocal about bad changes, be vocal about the good ones too. like it or not, the Blaze feature is an awesome addition as it allows artists to boost their own work. the sponsored artist alley thing that shows as an ad spot is an excellent compromise between not having ads and helping the user base. the addition of top posts on a blog are good. if you send feedback complaining about the user-hostile updates, always mention previous versions that were better and why, and any new updates which are good and why.
