Long story short, Noah and Connie are together now! The group were on a day trip in Windenburg and were taking a nice afternoon walk in Lykke Centre. They stopped mid-conversation and some big news was announced! What a wonderful surprise!

I would very tentatively like to put feelers out there for anyone looking to write long-form roleplay for final fantasy 7. I haven't written it with anyone in a very very long time and with getting back into the remake games it's spurned me to want to get back into it.

If you would be interested or are curious, I'll write all my info and what I'm looking for under the cut.

First things first.

Adults only, preferably someone 20+ though the older you are the more comfortable I will be as I am 32 and like to write about a range of topics including darker ones.

How I write

I write book style like you would see in a published story, so "talking like this" and story like this, with variations for emphasis.

Hard No's and discomforts

There isn't much I'm not open and willing to write, and usually it's a story by story basis, but I get squicked out by non-trans mpreg and would like to avoid overly ooc and crack fic style story.

What I like to write

I like to write from the Vincent POV and I like to keep the timeline pretty canon unless writing in parts of the timeline that have not been filled in.

My favorite parts of the timeline to write about pre FF7 events, DoC events and post Advent Children.

I don't have any concrete plot ideas just yet as I usually form those alongside my writing partner, but I am particularly interested in the Turks pre-Soldier program or post FF7 events.

How I write Vincent

I am of the mind that post-getting shot, Vincent is way more subdued due to memory loss from actually dying for a period of time, lucrecia even saying that she couldn't prevent decay of tissue in DoC. So there is a lot of himself he just does not remember due to that, however I do believe he has a sense of humor, is more talkative with those he is close with and has an interest in experiencing the world around him that is so new and updated.

Pre-getting shot Vincent however is a professional man who knows when to keep his personality subdued for his job. He is a Turk and he does his job well, this doesn't mean he doesn't have a life outside of that. Most of the memories we get outside of the few Vincent has of the time at the lab, are from lucrecia POV.

I like to give him a soft energy outside of work, open with his coworkers and his friends, but not willing to make a fool of himself as he takes pride in his ability to be calm, cool and collected. He will however dance, drink, play games and generally enjoy himself with those around him.

I like to give Vincent a tense relationship with his father, nothing bad just more of differing opinions and typical son butting heads with father.

Pairings I like

Almost forgot to write these as I really just like writing Vincent in any situation, but I do like Cid/Vincent and Reno/Vincent the most. I tend to enjoy Vincent with Cloud, Barret, Reeve, Veld & Sepheroth depending on the story and context.

Anyway:

I'm disabled and unemployed so I tend to have a plethora of time at my disposal so I am flexible to writing with people at most times. I am also not someone who is impatient with responses though I do tend to go through spurts of replying very quickly. I may occasionally give a boop or nudge just to make sure we are still golden and see if maybe we need to put things on hold, but I'll never push.

Just to note I played FF7 for the first time in 1998 so if there are any headcanons that may seem weird to you that I have, it's because of the near 20 years of reinforcement it's had.

I do love that this is absolutely the very first glimpses of Sebastian's fears and PTSD of what COULD happen if he doesn't focus on protecting his contracted master over following the commands given to him. A M@rvel AU following the events of [movie]. A lot happens but the tldr is that Gobby & Normie get different bodies thanks to their universe's version of [this dude]. The AU follows Goblin as he learns to have a life of his own. It's mostly random scenarios that are loosely connected — honestly, it can be viewed as a bunch of AUs stacked on top of each other at this point.

But this is one of the Arcs/AUs! It's quite a bit into the timeline, so I'm gonna skip over some stuff but the only important thing is that Goblin is now called Salem Green & works at an animal shelter. There he meets Claude Kingsley, and they immediately hit it off. Claude does not have the best home life, so Salem eventually accidentally becomes a parental figure towards them. And since Salem is also a vigilante — Changeling — he takes Claude under his wing and teaches them how to fight crime, making Claude his sidekick. They are cute, and very chaotic together.

We've only just recently managed to work Emory into the plot — much to his annoyance — so there isn't much with him other than he's uh. magic. A powerful wizard dude, basically. idk how he meets Salem & Claude yet, but it's probably something to do with Salem being a fae creature thing.

And I can understand wanting to keep anon about the sentiment, I'm lucky so far I didn't stumble with bad experiences about it. And if I do I just won't give a damn because: it is fiction. F I C T I O N. If it's made with conscious responsibility (and tagged correctly) I don't see why someone could get offended by it.

And if it helps you a bit (and anyone else): I see these characters as toys in a kindergarten playground. Everyone can grab the toys and play with them the freaking way they want. Some like to stick to the depiction of the character they saw on tv/read in a comic but some of us like to play with them with our own imaginary canon, and that's valid!

Or would you stop little Ambar from playing X character with different pronouns, personality and backstory just because it's not how you play with it? That would be rude. And then there's Vincent that plays with them as near as what he read about X in his favorite comic series he collects each year! If that aligns more with you than Ambar's, go and play with Vinny!

People can't control how others play with their imaginary toys BUT you can choose the group of people you want to play with! Find a safe place/circle of buddies and for sure the bad experiences/backlash will be lower, you will not feel alone in the shipping world, and... It's nice for us artists of crackships to have peeps that enjoy our creations x)

brief pt2 spoilers, but i was thinking about the first few chs of pt2 again. partly cuz whenever i rmbr "the wizards transformed into girls one time & kids another time cuz they dislike vincent" it makes me laugh. i saw fanart of akira w kid!wizards and went haha thats cute, then i read the chapter. u can imagine my surprise

but it always gets me thinking about the following conversation of 'the wizards will behave this time right' 'uhhhhh......probably...?' 'sir sage they Have to behave' 'well if vincent was nice to them theyd be nice back...' + how those chs especially was very..."these ppl thinks akira can control the wizards" (not only the ppl akira ends up speaking directly with, but also general ppl w power that akira cant reach), when akira (multiple times) has reiterated how while they do wish the northern wizards could get along they realize they have their own experiences and cant force them to do something (+feeling somewhat bad they have to live at the manor together). they dont want to do that already, but they also realize that ummm good luck with that frankly. so it just ends up like a lil "haha u sure do think so" to me whenever its brought up ppl r worried "who" has the power of oz & mithra, when its like......ya they do go along with things akira asks of them (more so in the case of oz), but those have always been relatively smaller scale things?! + if the command line went someone -> akira -> oz/mithra i dont think theyd like that either LOLT_T (disregarding the topic of the sages books and symphony) its very much the. akira treating them like friends rather than some ulterior motive of making them do their bidding

->cue brads sages heart ch. they listen to the sages heart. which in turn makes me think again of those concepts where the last fight with the moon didnt go that badly->no one has a reason to stay together at the manor->akira probably only befriends the ppl there+arthur. like at the end of the day (to me !) it feels very, Because the situation is what it is, and Because akira takes care to listen to them, they end up building that trust. its all about love !!!!!! (akira nvr orders anyone either its always a question......
