I really hate how people act like Jon becoming King is him "usurping" his siblings when that's an unfair stigma that's followed him his entire life for being a bastard. It just blows my mind that people ignore Jon's own thoughts and wishes on the topic. Well, guess what? Robb named him as his heir, he will have a legitimate claim to Winterfell, and he will be part of discussions on who will rule. Even without that, it's very likely that some of his siblings would support him as King. I just hate how the conversation around him becoming King is framed as some big betrayal.

Ugh I can’t stand how chiefs fans are making fun of jamarr and calling him a diva (among other names) when Travis literally screamed in his coach’s face during the Super Bowl and has been ejected from a game before for disrespecting the ref.

tbh i don't mind chiefs fans shit talking ja'marr, they have every reason to hate him. he's embarrassed their team plenty and has done more than his share of shit talking. let them have their fun (although i agree it's def hypocritical after that travis moment that i guess no one ever wants to talk about!)

what upsets me SO much though is seeing our own fans turn on him. calling him selfish for the hold-in, blaming him for the contract debacle, saying he's overrated, saying we should trade him and keep tee (when they were all saying the exact opposite when tee requested a trade TWICE a few months ago 🙄). and i do understand that ja'marr was in the wrong for this penalty, but getting ridiculous penalties against the chiefs is kind of just what he does! like it cannot be emphasized enough how much that man hates the chiefs lmao.

ja'marr has been STRUGGLING these past few months and it's obvious how much of a toll this has taken on him. i'm not at all surprised things boiled over to a tipping point when he thought he was tackled in a particularly dangerous way (whether he was right or wrong, he DID believe it). right now he's taking a huge risk being out on the field at all without any real guarantees for the future. that shit is scary, it's scary betting on yourself even when you do believe in yourself 100%. people play better when they feel secure, when they feel valued, and the front office did everything they could this offseason to make him feel the opposite.

i'm really hoping he can have a big game this monday. supposedly the commanders defense is Not Good, so that should help us! (i just hope it isn't a trap game for us. but the fact that we're 0-2 i think will make the guys take it seriously.) winning helps cure all ails for competitors like ja'marr, and i believe we've got a lot of that ahead of us!

A) an aggregator account (any social media) posting your stuff (with permission) and linking back to you so they get a bunch of interaction on your stuff and some of it trickles down to you, or...

B) you and you alone posting your stuff to a small crowd

I wholeheartedly agree you shouldn't do art 'for the likes' and too much popularity has a downside, but really, getting interaction and knowing your stuff is being seen is a nice perk.

^ If you've lost an argument like this or similar one upon having your double standards exposed, and your reaction is not owning up to your mistake (or at least silently backing away, if you really feel SO ashamed now) but to switch onto irrelevant details about the person who brought up initial sentiment? You are genuinely awful ally for any activism, including the ones for your own demographic. In ideal world, fandomry should be exclusively about being a fan and not about activism, but since it is unavoidable anymore we at least must have bare minimum standards for logic and decency!

Acting like the Some Gremlin character proves that you do not actually care about the topic and your sole interest is to be "right", when debates and arguments exist with the purpose of finding the truth. It can be nice or it can be uncomfortable, it could confirm what you've already known or it could crumble your whole view. This is why the pursuit and the involvement of different people is so important, and this is why it is important that everyone participates in debates with only genuine intentions! If what you seek from debates is "winning" them and not discovering the facts, you need to really step away and reconsider. It is good if this issue only concerns things like headcanons, because what if you will carry this problem into more serious discussions with the stakes?

jake has Known Hermit Tendencies and so he SEEMS like he'd be the type to be terminally offline out in a cabin in the woods not even looking at the news but hes also instigated flames wars for fun(??) in canon so i feel like he wildly seesaws between the two extremes. absolutely does not have a healthy relationship with social media. he will log on, slowly get more and more engrossed in some dumb bullshit, eventually he'll get way too invested in and involved in drama and you have to take his phone away from him. and he will completely forget/stop caring in a matter of days when he'll get swept up next thing that takes his fancy/seems entertaining to him. next thing you know he's moved to another continent or has dedicated himself to learning ice sculpture

Whenever I finish up playing I like to go and sit with dad- Mato, for a while. Sometimes hours because I forget my game is open in the back.

This one time I sat down but I guess I did some perfect key input because the game registered that I was still moving, albeit very slowly.

I really thought I'd unlocked some secret 'memory' sequence because the camera and lighting slowly panned to the right and stopped on the nails.

Alas, t'was a bug and when I stood the knight teleported over to them.

still watching manhunt. there's something about seeing black people in shows or movies set in the 1800s. there's this mix of sadness and anger i always feel bc the fucking unfairness makes me sick. and if it's something set the south? then i know that members of my family i'll never know would've experienced that. it would've been All they ever knew.

i always say "i'd hate to live back then" (bc um! i would!!), but i have to remember that they still lived. they had lives, despite the shit they had to endure. at the end of the day, the very fact that i'm alive means that plenty of my black ancestors existed and lived their lives while black in america (the american south, at that). through slavery, emancipation, segregation, integration, and on and on. so idk. i'm sure there were many different things in their lives that made their lives worth living. if nothing else, it was a life. and i doubt they saw their lives as some endless hopeless tribulation.

anyway, manhunt's a good show. got me pondering shit lol.
