Somewhere in the commercial area where everyone gets high my friends are asking strangers "Can you sell something to me?"
this song is southlanders coded to me - especially them stealing scars horse and also them getting sold crystals

Speech Quirks in MLQC
Archived Reddit post but this is the improved and updated version. I've linked the Reddit one though because @sharinluna made fantastic comments which I hadn't considered.
Spoilers include content up to Chapter 18 and some unreleased calls and cards. None of these are plot lines though, just snippets to support their speech quirks. Also, my eternal disclaimer is that I'm pulling from CN lines so don't be alarmed if the quotes differ.
BAI QI
The cutest habit this man has is defaulting into a sincere and solemn tone whenever he doesn't know how to respond to MC. He's so genuine it hurts. It's especially apparent when he goes along with weird topics.
Here are some examples of Bai Qi being an adorably confused puppy but trying to do his best. He always takes MC's concerns seriously:
[CN Soaked Heart SSR Misunderstanding Date] Context is they keep misunderstanding each other today. "Though I don't understand women's hearts, yours is the only one I don't want to get wrong. Can you give me some more time?"
[Lightbath SSR Tenderness] Context is after he excessively praises MC to her embarrassment. "I'm sorry, maybe it's because I didn't convey it well enough. But I just wanted to express all my thoughts out. Next time, I hope I can use a better way to express them to you."
[Summer Loving SSR Undo Fail Call] Context is MC having a terrible day and mis-sent her messages to Bai Qi. "If you don't want to go to work then you can take a day off. As for your hairline... how about..."
[Blaze Up SSR Age Rage Call] Bai Qi takes MC's opening extremely seriously, thinking something happened, before having a small laugh at her being called "auntie" by the boy. But he immediately regains his seriousness to talk it over with her.
It's not that Bai Qi doesn't get jokes, but his response to them tends to be serious too (which leads to unintentional killer lines). I think his humor tends towards more of the deadpan kind, like Li Zeyan (except Li Zeyan has some witty sharpness).
I've also seen people mention this phrase and I love it because it encapsulates him so well: Bai Qi is either shy and blushes or he goes straight for the kill LOL.
Here are some examples of lines that may sound sleazy or too flirty if they weren't delivered in such a straight and sincere manner LOL:
[Cold Shower R Refreshing Moments] When you pick the choice saying you thought he was going to upload a picture he goes: "Um... I can DM you." I've seen that he uses a smiley in English but it's not there in Chinese.
[Against the Light SR Sweet Bomb Moments] When you pick the choice saying that he's become cola-flavored he asks: "What do I normally taste like?"
[2018 Valentine's Text] I chose a conversation path which had me telling Bai Qi that he needs to get used to pet hair if he's going to raise a pet and that one day I'd like to raise one. He seriously promises to do his best to get used to pet hair and asks to raise one together.
[Grocery Moments] When you pick the choice that he can use his other hand to carry bags he answers simply: "My other hand is for holding yours, so I can't use it."
Honestly, the takeaway in Bai Qi's speech is the unconditional support and love he gives to MC. He never questions her feelings about things, and oftentimes vehemently objects to her thinking she's bothering him or that her problems are trivial or silly.
He wants to hear about her happy news, her sad news, and everything about her. (I joke that Bai Qi is the perfect fit for the meme where it's like "Why are you crying?" "Oh, it's just these onions" "What the hell did you say to my girlfriend!?").
He always gives a heads up before he acts, even though he generally tends to be moving already. Like going to pick up MC in the rain or at any other location.
I wouldn't be surprised if some of this came from his family life. Through his Rumors and Secrets and [Seize SSR Sad Thoughts Call] you can get an idea that his mother didn't have any standing with his father, often got cut off, and nothing she wanted or felt mattered.
Even though Bai Qi was young at that time it probably left a mark on him because he never does that with MC; he lets her express herself before he brings up any of his feelings. Her feelings are always valid, but he does tend to be a proactive fixer and provides solutions if he can (much like Li Zeyan). Bai Qi will try to solve MC's problems, but I'm sure if she just wanted to rant then he'll gladly listen (ex. [Blaze Up SSR Age Rage Call]).
One other notable thing is that, in Asian cultures, social harmony is very important and that's why there's a culture around speaking indirectly and preserving the other person's dignity.
So Bai Qi's indifference and ability to cut straight to the point probably doesn't stand out that much in the West but it's actually a bit shocking and impactful in Chinese. Especially because he doesn't shy away from expressing his feelings. He might stutter, cough, clear his throat, and be all embarrassed but then he just delivers monologues of blunt emotion (ex. [Love Of My Life SSR Goodnight Wish & Wish Calls]).
I find that Bai Qi and Li Zeyan are the most stereotypical types of masculinity among the four men.
ZHOU QILUO
As always, I need to thank my Luoluo-loving friend for the discussion here because I always have the least thoughts on him. Oops.
I don't think I'd be wrong in saying he has the most range among all the men. He gets to play with a pouting baby voice, his acting hero voice, his KEY voice, his Helios voice, and then his normal voice.
He has a harder speech habit to pin down because of this massive range, but I think you can catch how he leans into a sly or teasing tone. He's very quick with comebacks and jokes and I'd say he's the first to establish an inside joke with MC (both being each other's superheroes).
He and MC have a relationship where they're both building each other up. If Bai Qi provides unconditional support and acceptance then Zhou Qiluo is all about cheering her on whenever possible.
It's also interesting to point out that even though he's so emotive on the outside, when things are serious he goes deadly quiet and calm. You can see that in Chapter 8, 14, and his Helios persona in Chapter 17. They say watch out for the quiet ones, but more like watch out for the people who use their jokes and loudness to hide their quiet intensity.
I'm not sure how clear this came across in English but Luoluo notably repeats himself on several occasions in Chinese. It's sad because it's like he's reassuring the person he's talking to and himself at the same time.
[Main Story 14-20] "It'll be okay, it'll definitely be okay [...] You'll be okay."
[Main Story 14-20] "Miss Chips, wait for me... will you wait for me?"
I've also noticed that, even though he tries to be as genuine as possible, he's actually not as emotionally open as someone like Bai Qi. Luoluo tends to bring up his own emotions in a third-person or hypothetical perspective. For example:
[Call after Main Story 11-8: Important Decision] Luoluo calls and talks around the subject of an important decision he needs to make (aka. turning into Helios) and whether or not MC would be able to accept him if he changed completely into another person.
[CN ASMR Bear Cub's Troubles] He tells a story about a number of bears doing things and they're clearly supposed to represent him but he never admits that either.
We're about to hear much more from Helios but, as a start, he's extremely curt. Luoluo is definitely pulling an opposite here with his speech style, but it's neat how you can hear tones of Zhou Qiluo throughout too.
See, there's these things called modal particles in Chinese that you stick on the end of your sentences to give them meaning, emphasize meaning, strengthen meaning, or soften the meaning and tone.
Luoluo has the habit of using one 啊 (ah) which can have all these sort of meanings and other ones you just sort of pick up on:
[attached to the end of a sentence to indicate admiration]
[attached to the end of a sentence to show approval or self-protectiveness or to urge or enjoin]
[attached to the end of a sentence to indicate doubt]
[sign of pause in the middle of a sentence to draw attention to what one is going to say next]
[attached to the end of each item enumerated]
In Luoluo's case it makes his sentences sound more excited and younger and goes really well with his bright atmosphere. However, when he's Helios, this modal particle is dropped completely. Helios is flat, blunt, and basically pulling a Li Zeyan LOL.
XU MO
I think I've talked way too much about how Xu Mo is a wordsmith LOL but I'm always impressed by how he can corner MC into accepting his invitations without it being creepy. But I suppose this is a point of contention due to localization decisions and voice direction.
Putting that aside, it has to be noted that Xu Mo asks for a lot of permission. His speech style is designed to get you to lower your guard as much as possible, which I've touched on in my wordsmith post.
Again, returning to modal particles, Xu Mo has ones that basically gives all his sentences a "May I?" "Could I?" "Would you...?" style.
[Sound of Silence SSR The Little Prince Call] "Would you like to hear what I have to say?"
[Call after Main Story 3-1: Movie Invitation] "Then, would this lady be willing to watch Manhattan with me this Sunday?"
[CN Archery Date] "May I ask this lady here for some assistance?"
To be more specific, he uses a lot of 吧 (ba) which has these sort of meanings (the first one especially):
[a particle used at the end of the sentence to indicate discussion, suggestion, request, or instruction]
[an indication of agreement or approval at the end of the sentence]
[an indication of doubt or guess at the end of the sentence]
[an indication of uncertainty in the sentence]
[it can express a pause, tone of assumption, difficulty in making a choice, or dilemma in the sentence]
You can imagine how much this softens his sentences right? It's why he's so good at sounding disarming LOL and then you walk away and take 5 seconds to realize he said something alarming and/or got you to accept a date.
On another note, much like Bai Qi, Xu Mo quietly accepts all of MC's feelings and doubts. But he's much more of a natural at gently refuting her points and wording things in a way that helps her mature slowly (a big theme with him).
Compared to the others, he checks more often on whether MC wants to listen to his opinion before he gives it. Or, he supports his view from an empirical standpoint (like how he's been the adviser to Miracle Finder pretty much at the beginning and seen her growth from there).
Because of how his speech habit is designed to be soft when he's Xu Mo, it makes his Ares persona really interesting. He drops his softeners and speaks in a more clipped tone but he still maintains his politeness.
At the news conference in Chapter 16 you can hear how he uses starts using rhetoric to push the MC around (as a mix between Ares and cold Xu Mo). He actively challenges her opinions, compared to before when he was just providing alternative (and supportive) views. The news conference is actually amazing because in Chinese they both become EXCESSIVELY polite to demonstrate this new distance between them after Chapter 13.
CRIES WHENEVER I THINK ABOUT XU MO AND ARES. So, Xu Mo also has a quirk that's very apparent in his ASMRs where he repeats himself because he flusters the MC so bad she's always like "Huh!?".
But as Ares he literally has a line where he coolly says that he doesn't like to repeat himself and that he won't repeat himself...
Switching gears, Xu Mo also shares a habit with Li Zeyan where they give nonverbal responses. In Xu Mo's case, he goes "Mm?" "Hm?" or "Oh?" and tends to raise the end of his sentences to soften them. Li Zeyan just grunts acknowledgements LOL but it's the hottest noise in Chinese.
Lastly, Xu Mo really, really loves nicknaming the MC and has called her kitten, sea otter, this lady, night owl, etc. It's adorable! (I'm not mentioning his use of little fool or silly girl because I'm going to go more into that in Li Zeyan's section.)
LI ZEYAN
Okay, let's get the elephant out of the room. One of his speech quirks is calling MC a dummy, idiot, or moron LOL.
But there's an extremely interesting cultural difference here that people might not be aware of. In Chinese, the word he uses for "idiot" and "dummy" (笨蛋; bendan) is actually light and almost negligent. If I were to give an analogy, it's more like he's calling you "silly" all the time.
Obviously, the fact that you're being called something still hasn't disappeared. But the word Li Zeyan uses lands as a 0.1/10 on the insult scale in Chinese.
I don't have enough background in sociology to explain why this is but there's an interesting talk about the vagueness of Japanese insults vs. English ones that basically applies here to Chinese too:
One likely reason for the relatively few Japanese words for 'fool' is vagueness. In both English and Japanese, the words for 'fool' have meanings that vary along scales of friendly–hostile, or joking–serious. In English, at one end of a scale are words like silly goose and at the other end are words like stupid asshole. And in Japanese, at one end are words like kamaboko baka 蒲鉾馬鹿 'silly chump' and at the other end are words like baka-yarō 馬鹿野郎 'damn fool'. The difference is in the degree of lexical diversification along the scales of meaning. English seems to have more 'fool' words with more specificity – Japanese seems to have fewer 'fool' words with more vagueness. There are decided pragmatic and communicative advantages to such lexical vagueness. If you call me a stupid son-of-a-bitch, I know exactly what you mean. But if you call me a baka-yarō, I cannot be so sure of what you mean. The expression baka-yarō 馬鹿野郎 is one of the most insulting terms in the Japanese lexicon, but it is vague and can range in meaning from an affectionate 'silly-willy' to an abusive 'jerk-off fool'. Baka-yarō is so widely used that it has become semantically weak and vague. Such vagueness can serve to conceal hostility and thus to maintain social harmony.
Carr, Michael (1982). "Baka and Fool". The Review of Liberal Arts. 63: 1–18. Retrieved 2013-04-19.
On this note about insults, all the other guys have their own terms for the MC as well. For example, Xu Mo and Bai Qi use 傻瓜 (shagua; fool, silly melon) with Xu Mo often adding more affection with the diminuitive 小 (xiao; small, little).
I've seen Luoluo take some heat for also calling the MC "stupid" like Li Zeyan but did you know in Chinese he only uses 笨 (ben; dumb) which is even more lighter than Li Zeyan's word? It's like a 0.01/10 on the scale.
Putting this cultural difference of insults aside, I've mentioned above that Li Zeyan is also a fixer of problems like Bai Qi. Except he goes straight for it without checking with the MC (overbearing CEO style). He decides on an action, carries it out, and then tells MC after the fact.
[Marauder SSR Change Hotel Call] He switches her hotel immediately and gets her to move only after he's done it during their call.
[Chapter 11] Pretty much the entirety of this chapter and how he had her treated at the hospital, escorts her to and from work, assigns bodyguards for MC, etc.
Basically, whenever Li Zeyan receives MC's problems, he'll make a dry comment about it first, but then end up solving it.
I also think that, out of the rest of the guys, he questions MC the most on everything (remember, Xu Mo isn't naturally confrontational until he goes cold or Ares-mode). Li Zeyan can't seem to stop himself from challenging MC's views and opinions every step of the way (in his mind, he's doing it for her own good).
On a side note, I think he also has the habit of being unable to say what he truly wants to say sometimes and you can hear him swallow back a lot of words or just sigh heavily. For example:
[Call after Main Story 11-19: Routine Greeting] Granted he was really emotional due to story reasons here. But there were so many pregnant pauses and heavy silence.
[Gentle Confrontation SSR Tacit Game Call] In Chinese, when MC opens with her question you can actually hear him go "Uh..." LOL. IT'S HILARIOUSLY CUTE. But the rest just has him sighing deeply.
I mentioned above that he and Bai Qi share a similar sense of humor in being deadpan, but Li Zeyan definitely takes it to another level. He also delivers a serving of dry wit or sarcasm. I think it's cute that he mimics the MC a lot though and their inside joke is him recalling everything she's called him.
[Main Story 11-16] Same speech pattern. "Are you Li Zeyan...?" "... Are you a moron?"
[Winter Infatuation SSR Before Sleep Call] "Even though on the way back you were clearly crying, 'Ah, so tired... ah, so sleepy...', the moment you get home you have the energy to turn on the computer?"
There's too many occasions where he quotes her words about him being an unsmiling K(ing), but whenever it happens some cute back and forth ribbing gets brought up. Like how it slipped out of her mouth, but he just so happened to recall it too and it's not like he remembers this stuff on purpose or keeps it in his mind. Uh huh.
Despite how exasperated he gets though, Li Zeyan never stops participating in all the silly games MC drags him into. Is this true love--- LOL.
Lastly, I want to bring up how Li Zeyan gives nonverbal responses much like Xu Mo except his are like grunts of acknowledgment. His favorite words is probably 嗯 (ng). The sound is more like "en" with a bit of a nasal noise and just means "mm". It can be used as a question too.
But hands down I think it's the hottest noise in Chinese LOL especially when Wu Lei (Li Zeyan's Chinese voice actor) does it in his deep voice. Erm, oops, getting distracted.
My main point here is to say that Li Zeyan leans towards being brief and monosyllabic, moreso than the other men. For example, in [Main Story 18-8] Li Zeyan uses the shortest words possible to reply to Xu Mo. At one point he literally just goes "Reason?".
I actually think he uses the most Chinese idioms to get across his meaning as short as possible (but this would be impossible to carry over in English...). Xu Mo tends to use 4 character combinations too but those are for scientific theories and don't count.
A Chinese player actually compiled the majority of idioms you hear from Li Zeyan LOL and here they are. By the way, these are supposed to be said as one whole phrase but I've added spaces to make the pronunciation clearer:
少见多怪 (shao jian duo guai); lit. seldom seen very strange. It means making a fuss or being excited over something normal.
上蹿下跳 (shang cuan xia tiao); lit. leap up jump down. It means jumping around excitedly and being hyperactive.
当众出丑 (dang zhong chu chou); lit. public fool. It means making a fool of yourself in public or making yourself a spectacle.
差强人意 (cha qiang ren yi); lit. lacking improvement to one's expectation. It means being barely passable or barely satisfactory.
不近人情 (bu jin ren qing); lit. not close to human emotions. It means being unreasonable or inhuman, and this one was actually Li Zeyan asking if MC sees him as this.
乱七八糟 (luan qi ba zao); I don't think you can make this literal but it basically means a complete mess.
自作多情 (zi zuo duo qing); lit. self-made many feelings. It means being full of yourself, like a narcissist, or flattering yourself by thinking people love you when they don't LOL.
漏洞百出 (lou dong bai chu); lit. full of leaks. It means you're full of loopholes, inconsistencies, and all your arguments are faulty.
莫名其妙 (mo ming qi miao); I'm not sure if this can become literal either but it means baffling, ridiculous, or incomprehensible.
想都别想 (xiang duo bie xiang); It literally means don't you even think about it LOL.
笨手笨脚 (ben shou ben jiao); lit. dumb hands dumb legs. It means being clumsy.
罪加一等 (zui jia yi deng); lit. adding a cardinal sin. It basically means becoming doubly guilty or you just keep piling up wrongs.
叽叽喳喳 (ji ji zha zha); lit. chirp chirp. But it basically means you're being a chatterbox, babbling, and jibberjabbering.
Of course we can't forget 笨蛋 (bendan; dummy, idiot) and 白痴 (baichi; moron) which are the insults Li Zeyan uses the majority of the time, the former more than the latter. These aren't idioms though.

I only write on this blog on tumblr, so if you see my work on any other platform, please let me know immediately.
Also, this is the second last chapter. There will only be one more part, with a Yeon-Seok version and a Jiyong version. It might take me a little time, so I’m sorry, but I will try and upload it in two day as usual :)))
———————————————————————————
Jiyong came back after getting groceries, hands full, about to shout out your name to tell you he got you your favourite ice cream, when he kicked open the door, and found you fast asleep on the couch, the tv blaring in the background. Softly smiling to himself over how adorable you looked, with your cheeks all squished and your hair framing your face. He slowly put away the groceries, trying to make as little noise as possible, but he ended up waking you up by accident with the crinkle of all the paper. He could hear your sleepy mumbling from the couch.
 “Ji… hey. You’re back.”
He smiled and put away the last of the groceries and said,
“Yes, yes I am and I come bearing gifts.”
 You sat up and tried to figure out what he was holding in his hands. He flopped down on the couch next to you and handed you your favourite ice cream. Your eyes narrowed as you turned to him, beaming, and you opened it up and started to eat. Although you were busy eating, you still had time to complain to Jiyong about some people you met that day. Rolling your eyes, you started off on your rant.
“Oh my god Ji, I would not believe how bloody entitled people are! Yes, I am pregnant, but that doesn’t mean you can touch and feel up my belly!”
 Your voice was a little muffled as you were speaking with your mouth full of ice cream.
 “No, I do not want your advice on how to take care of my baby. No, I don’t want you suggesting a name. I haven’t even gotten around to that! No, I don’t want you guessing whether my baby is a boy or a girl depending on whether I’m “carrying in my hips”. What does that even mean?! No, I don’t want you holding a coin above my belly.”
You turned to smile at him, expecting him to laugh at these antics, but you found him slowly moving away and looking like he did something wrong. Brows furrowed, you asked,
 “What’s wrong Ji? Why’re you moving away?”
 He looked rather nervous.
 “No, you said that people touching your belly and getting too close to you made you uncomfortable. I didn’t want to make you feel that way.”
You felt your heart melt a little. Moving a little closer, you gently took his hand, and put it on your baby bump.
 “Jiyong, you aren’t one of those people. Besides, I’m sure baby likes you.”
You looked up to smile at him gently, only to see him gently wiping away tears and sniffing. He looked at you like he had just seen something magical.
“Y/N, … that’s a miracle. That’s a tiny human inside you.”
 Smiling at him, you just nodded. Suddenly, he looked a little sad. Hesitating just a little bit, he looked at you and said,
“Y/N, when you get back together with Yeon-Seok, I still get to be a part of baby’s life, right? Please? Although I understand if you don’t want me to be a part of your child’s life.”
Your heart broke seeing him so sad.
“Ji, listen to me. Of course you’ll still be a part of baby’s life. You’ve been with us right from the start.”
You paused to cup his cheek.
 “Ji, I know Yeon-Seok isn’t your biggest fan, but he’ll have to get used to it, especially since you’re going to be baby’s favourite uncle.”
His eyes lit up.
“Y/N, can I be the godfather?”
 You tilted your head, laughing.
“Ji, you know I’m not religious, but sure, you can be the non-existent godfather.”
 He jumped up, overjoyed. He turned to you with a look in his eyes that you recognised.
“Y/N, can I set up a room for baby then? Please? Baby and I can have sleepovers and pizza parties!”
 Seeing how excited he was, and you already knew how much he longed for a child of his own, you just ruffled his head, and said
“Go ahead.”
You wanted to add that he was practically a father to baby, but you couldn’t. Some part of you felt like you would be betraying Yeon-Seok if you crossed that line. Later that night, as you fell asleep on the couch again, Jiyong smiled at your peaceful expression before covering you up with a blanket. He sat down next to you, deep in thought. After your last conversation with him, you agreed to quit your job after a while, and take some help from him for the time being while you looked for a good position as a journalist, but you refused his offer to come back to YG. You looked him dead in the eye, and said,
“No way. It brings back way too many bad memories. Never again.”
And he could not help wincing when all those memories came rushing back. He looked at you, smiling at the way you curled up. He had another worry he hadn’t mentioned to you. He knew you blamed yourself for Yeon-Seok leaving. He was terrified you’d fall into post-partum depression after giving birth. And he was terrified of seeing you that way, going through so much pain that he could to nothing about. He looked down at his phone, sighing before picking it up to text some people he had a feeling might know where Yeon-Seok was. Jiyong had heard some rumours. For your sake, no matter how much he blamed Yeon-Seok for leaving you without hearing you out, he would find him and bring him to you. Anything to keep you happy.
You woke up the next morning, peaceful and content after curling up on the couch. Lazily, you made your way to the kitchen to try and get some breakfast, all the while trying to smooth down your terrifying bedhead.
“Jiyong?”
 you called out, wanting to know what he wanted for breakfast.
“Ji?”.
 There was no response. You could hear this weird, unfamiliar noise in the background. You followed it, feeling vaguely wary, and you found yourself in front of one of his guestrooms. You opened the door, and you were hit with the overwhelming smell of paint. You blinked a couple of times, getting used to it, and you slowly looked around. Jiyong was in the middle of painting the room and you were in love. It was a beautiful mix of pale yellow and grey, with splashes of white and teal from place to place. It wasn’t complete, but you already knew how it would look once done. You were just looking around in awe, when Jiyong turned around to wipe some paint off his face, only serving to get more on his face in the process. His eyes widened and he pouted slightly.
“Y/N, it was supposed to be a surprise!”
 You started tearing up from the emotions running through you. You were so happy. Jiyong got everything about the room just right. You turned around and, in a corner, you caught sight of a box full of soft cushions and plushies, with things to hang up all around the room. You started crying, feeling emotional from seeing them. You were going to be a mother. This was all for your child. This was real. This was happening. Jiyong immediately put down the paint roller, and peeled off his gloves, worried. He came up to you and asked,
“Y/N, what’s wrong? Did I get the colours wrong? Is this all a bit much?”
You shook your head, smiling through the tears.
 “No, Jiyong, it’s perfect. And I love it.”
Still a little worried, he continued searching your face to make sure you were okay.
“Okay, Y/N, but why are you crying?”
You looked up at him, beaming through the tears.
“Jiyong, I’m going to be a mother. I’m having a baby.”
Jiyong smiled, grateful that they were happy tears. You looked around again, trying to take in everything. Jiyong had finished up quite a bit of work. Furrowing your eyebrows, you asked,
 “Ji, when did you start working on this? It’s almost done.”
 He grinned sheepishly, trying not to meet your eyes.
“I was so excited, I had to start as soon as you gave me permission to.”
Suddenly feeling a surge of emotion towards the shy man standing in front of you, you hugged him, nuzzling your head into his neck because you didn’t want him to see your face.
 “Ji, thank you. Thank you for all the help. Thank you for the room. I don’t know how you figured out I wanted a gender neutral set up, but it’s perfect.”
Your voice got a little softer.
 “Ji, I know you’re scared baby won’t be a part of your life, and I know you’re trying to hide it for my sake, but believe me, I will make sure that you will always be a part of baby’s life.”
You wrapped your arms around him a little tighter before saying,
“Thank you.”
 Jiyong was a little taken aback by your hug and your little speech, and although he was sure you could hear his heart pounding out of his chest, he just wrapped his arms around you and pulled you closer, enjoying the intimacy of the moment. His joy was laced with some sadness, because he knew you were in love with Yeon-Seok, but then, he just decided to enjoy the moment.
 That night, Jiyong sighed when he heard you shift around the furniture to pull out that box again. You thought he didn’t know about it, but how could he not know about it when you let out such gut-wrenching cries every time you pulled it out? It was a box you kept, full of the little things you wanted to give Yeon-Seok. You knew he’d regret not being there for the pregnancy, so you kept the little things aside for him. Every single doctor’s note was in there. Every single ultrasound scan. All your diet plans. All your measurements. All your pictures. All your baby names. Everything. Jiyong knew why you took it out this time. You had another appointment with Wooshik the next day. It was the day you had the option of finding out the sex of your child. He thought you were going to put in a picture of the room, but he could hear you hiccuping on your sobs, repeating the same sentence over and over again.
“Yeon-Seok, why aren’t you here?”
You stared down at the box, rocking yourself back and forth as you sobbed. You didn’t know whether you wanted to find out the sex of your child. That wasn’t a decision to take alone. It was supposed to be you and Yeon-Seok deciding. Why wasn’t he there, by your side? Where was he? After Jiyong heard you scream out Yeon-Seok’s name in a particularly gut-wrenching cry, he gripped the piece of paper in his hand a little tighter, crumpling it a bit, and got up to walk to your room. He opened your door, and walked over to where you were, picking you up from the floor and putting you down on the bed. You gripped his shirt, whimpering his name.
“Jiyong… I don’t know what to do. Where is he?”
 and you buried your face in his shoulder. Jiyong took your hand, and put the piece of paper into your hand. You looked up at him, through all the tears, and asked,
“What is this?”
Jiyong put his hand on your head, and tried to calm you down by running his fingers through your hair. He gently tilted your face up towards his, and with a pained smile, said,
“Y/N, if you don’t know what to do, go find him. This is his address.”
Time stopped for you when you heard those words. He continued.
 “Yeon-Seok is back in Korea now, but he’s living as a recluse. He doesn’t have a phone or a laptop. He lives here and going there is the only way to contact him.”
Although it killed Jiyong, Jiyong was glad he was putting himself through such pain because he just wanted to see you happy again. Smiling through the pain, Jiyong asked,
“Do you want me to take you there?”

The lost judge : Yakuza whore : Trapped in dark web
Judge Anderson and the yakuza had been at war for the longest time. She had imprisoned many of their members, she had dismantled multiple businesses of the local clan while in return they manage to capture the judge, but Anderson always made it back be it either by her breaking free and escaping on her own or it being a twisted game to the yakuza who toss her out of the car after having their fun with her for revenge for the trouble she cause or that their fun was interrupted by the rest of the judges who came to rescue Anderson.
Then one time... She didn’t make it out. The yakuza princess who she had met multiple times had lured the judge into a trap, without backup nor anyone even knowing where Anderson had gone off to, only to drug and use them on a live stream that was broadcasted thorought the dark web. Then she disappeared.
“Morning there Anderson~ You passed out after all of our fun the other night. Not that I blame you, I went pretty wild.” Hisayo stood in the doorway, smiling to herself as she watched the judge jump up and try to attack her only to snap back from the chain attached to the collar on her neck. The heavy metal chain bolted to the wall and the collar itself was thick enough that there was no a chance of breaking it. “Careful there Judge, you might hurt yourself and that’s the last thing I want. You see, one of those many cameras I set up was live streaming all of our fun and it turned out you were rather popular. Popular enough that it gave me an idea. Instead of letting you go and be the useless judge you were I’ve decided to make you the Kinnou clan official whore. After your training of course.”
No one saw Anderson ever again. The judge disappear and was the hall of justice deemed her missing in action with no clues of her whereabouts after a city wide search for Anderson that last for for nearly a year as she was one of the most valued judges due to her psychic abilities and losing her was a big loss for the authorities.
Tumblr media
“Now I know what you’re thinkin’. You wanna get out of here, right? Escape and arrest me for kidnappin’ and all that. Thing is, that collar of yours isn’t just to keep you still. I’ve got it rigged with all kinds of things, ranging from slo-mo to a cute lil shocker. One wrong move and-” Hisayo drags her thumb over the button and gave Anderson an electric shock that had the judge yell and fell down to her knees. “So your choices are to either to listen to every demand I give you or I’ll just drug you up again and let strangers use your body. Or I’ll make you dance and squirm until you cum your brains out from the electricity. Either or.”
It was almost a year later when the first video of Anderson was made public as it was uploaded to a porn site. A video of Anderson’s first day in slavery and as the newest victim of the yakuza who turn her into a whore on camera. No one ever saw Anderson again, but new videos surface from time to time and even if the judges try to pin point where the video was uploaded and where the video was filmed they never found her... And on each video Anderson was more lost and out of it, the slave training was apparent on later videos.
She moves closer to Anderson with her thumb just hovering over the remote, threatening a variety of things if the judge chose to do anything stupid. “But since you’re so new about this how about we start off with something simple. See that camera up there?” Hisayo points to a corner were Anderson could just see the shine of the camera lens embedded into the wall. It was just high enough to be out of reach and untouchable. “You’re gonna take out my cocks and give the people watching a show. Do a good enough job and I’ll see about getting you something nice. Maybe a bed~? Of course if you fail, well then everyone gets to see what happens when you pump someone full of aphrodisiacs and all kind of drugs. Something fun I bet.”
It didn’t take longer than the first two videos to show the judge’s resistance fall and on the third the judge already had a yakuza clan tattoo on her upper back done in the form of the symbol of her mistress’s. The tattoo also mark her as the property of the clan and it was done to work as a warning to anyone who might plan to harm the now priceless piece of fuckmeat. Anderson was making huge profit with each client and video... So no damaging the merchandise.
Tumblr media
Yakuza whore in roleplaying threads
Anderson as a tattoo branded yakuza whore is mostly reserved for the interactions with her mistress, Hisayo Kinnou, but others can request her for threads or send asks for this AU version of the broken female judge.
Yakuza whore is most likely met in ambiguous dark rooms, dusty cells or cheap hotel rooms. Most interactions will play out as other characters visiting her after paying for the yakuza clan to use Anderson as they wish or as asks or writing requests for possible porn video scenarios that Anderson is the star of.
If you wish to interact with the yakuza whore it needs to be plotted first and the asks have to be specifically meant for her (since I will reply them with the original Anderson by default). While you may send asks to the yakuza whore it might take a while before she comes out or she doesn’t come out at all (meaning that I might be shy with her AU character).
Yakuza whore verse for Anderson was created together with the lovely @haemoxin who came up with the initial and additional ideas. Story bits in between the more informative text of this verse post were written by them.

Hi, Mandy! The podcast with Phil is up! When you have time to listen to it, do you think, you could share some of your thoughts with us? Maybe even do some time stamps with commentary? Like, of course no pressure, but it would be awesome if you decide to express your opinion on the matter ;))) Have a nice day 🌷
My main thought: I love how much more comfortable Phil is talking about his anxiety and things that make/made him anxious now. I’ve never heard him dig in quite so much on how his brain works with insecurities and how intense he can be about editing and how that can cause him to mentally spiral with anxiety.
Besides that, I don’t think he said much here we didn’t already know, but I sure as heck enjoyed listening to him say it all again.
Timestamps!
2:30 - Phil would have shown up in pajamas if he’d known it was for a podcast. 2:37 - Interviewer asks Phil when he first realizes he was creative. “I think I just came out of the womb and did jazz hands in the hospital.” 3:00 - His parents gave him a video camera for Christmas when he was eight and he made little friends with his friends. He talks about the horror film he and his friends made when they were ten (that he’s made youtube videos about). He learned to edit then by pausing a video cassette tape and putting the footage in and editing in real time, before he could do it on a computer. He doesn’t know where that creativity came from, but he’s been making videos as long as he’s been able to make videos. 3:51 - He used to watch movies hundreds of times. He wore out the Gremlins VHS tape. He wanted to make things like that, or his own version of that entertainment. 4:05 - Gizmo the Gremlin was his mentor. No, he didn’t have a mentor, but he’s thankful to his parents for letting him do it. If he’d done his homework they’d just say, “Go for it. I’ll get you a video camera if you want to make videos.” He acknowledges that not everyone had that means of doing it, though now everyone has a phone and anyone can do it if they wanted to with a phone recording. 4:40 - When he was young his family was mostly his audience, though they let him play the horror film he made when he was ten at school. “I think having that audience reaction, I was like oh people are actually laughing and enjoying it.” 5:20 - He started youtube because he was impressed by the fact that anyone, anywhere can make something and have the chance to broadcast yourself. He saw people like Smosh and LonelyGirl15. He liked watching people’s lives all over the world. 6:01 - He got two comments on his first video and couldn’t believe it. One from Australia and one ‘somewhere else’ saw it and cared. 6:39 - He had imposter syndrome at the first Vidcon he went to. He went into a party and thought he shouldn’t be in the same room as people like Smosh. It was a learning experience. 6:58 - He found it crazy that a hundred people would come to a panel or meet and greet to see him and it made him feel like this was real, it was really happening. 7:32 - The interviewer asks him how he’s maintained trust with the audience and his answer is, “You’d have to ask the audience, they’re the ones that are still watching. 7:40 - He thinks being himself in his videos has help, he hasn’t had the need to reinvent himself or become somebody else. He feels like his audience are more friends than fans. 8:26 - "You have your long term collaborator, Dan Howell-” “Yes.” 8:27 - He finds it refreshing to collaborate, especially in comedy videos. He thinks he works well in an improvisation style environment, like on the gaming channel. It helps to have someone to laugh and have comedy banter with. It also helps to have someone else with creative ideas so you aren’t in your own head all the time. 9:20 - The interviewer asks about the transition from youtube to the stage shows. It was a big leap - they had ten crew members and it was a learning curve. He’s quite a shy person so going on stage in front of 2000 people was far out of his comfort zone compared to making videos alone. “It was kind of… fighting off my anxiety and thinking, I can do this, these people are here to see me for a reason.” 10:33 - They interviewed potential crew members (about a five minute interview) and they needed to be other creative people and understand the internet. They needed people who understood what they were making, and also wanted people that had a sense of humor and knew how to have a laugh. 11:30 - Specifically talking about TATINOF: they were trying to turn everything people loved about their youtube videos into a stage show, with a narrative flowing through the whole thing. They wanted it to be bigger than anything anyone had seen from youtubers before. 12:12 - You will not be seeing Phil on Strictly any time soon. 12:45 - TATINOF was about 70% scripted but it got changed up based on what the audience were like or what the reactions were. American found different jokes funny than Sweden and they learned to change and mold it. 13:09 - During TATINOF learned he can actually do scripted stuff, because there were scripted sections. He used to say he can’t act but he thinks he did okay with the scripted stuff in TATINOF. 13:52 - Section about the Radio 1 show. It started with him and Dan collaborating as youtubers with Radio 1, and the BBC decided to give them a show. He specifically says that Youtube say how many good comments and views youtube videos get, and that’s how the show came about. It started freelance and then they got the main show. 14:40 - With the radio show, because it’s live you really have to be aware of what you’re saying. There’s an art to working the desk with the music in the background and when to dip it down. They were learning on the go and it was terrifying. For the first three months he’d wake up in the middle of the night with night sweats and have nightmares about saying something wrong. He had panic dreams about the radio, but they got into a flow and he thinks it was an entertaining and innovative radio show. He always likes something that pushes the boundaries of the technology. 15:25 - He shades how 'old school’ the radio is because they had to play music videos off of dvds. If a dvd skipped or broke then the show would just go off air and they’d have to improvise. It was good preparation for doing stuff on stage. 15:55 - He talks about the stage show in America that lost power and improvising it in an unplugged way. He was relieved when people were happy with it. 16:38 - He thinks there are things traditional media could take from digital media: free flowing, less restrictions. On the radio ideas had to go through about ten processes. “By the time you’ve gone through these ten steps of checking, the fun of the creativity is gone about. It’s not about breaking the rules, it’s about trying to be more improvisational and spontaneous when you can. Not everything needs signing off by five people before you tell a joke.” 27:49 - He likes that youtube is more fresh and reactive to pop culture. It feels fresher than television - cites people doing the floss dance on Netflix shows now. It was funny a year ago, and it was written a year ago, but it’s not as funny now. 18:35 - The positive to traditional media is more people bringing experienced voices to the table helping you develop something. Youtubers know a few things instinctively but someone that’s been a scriptwriter for ten years can completely blow your mind. 19:25 - He would like to think the main thing his audience values is authenticity, but he actually thinks it is accessibility that they value more. He’s not like a movie or pop star. 20:14 - He’s fourteen years in and still tries to think of videos that would make him laugh or he wants to watch, but he’s trying to branch out some this year. “Trying new things.” He doesn’t think there’s any shame in seeing someone else’s video and thinking of doing his own take on that. 21:20 - He looks to Safiya Nygard for inspiration - he likes that there’s so much research and planning in her videos. Even if it’s a silly video she has all the facts and goes to all the videos. He got to meet her the last Vidcon and it was nice to hang out with her. 21:56 - He’s inspired by traditional media, too. For a long time it was Scot Pilgrim vs. the World, he used to think if he was going to make a video that was it. He starts talking about editing here and goes in pretty hard on what editing means to him over the next few minutes. 22:50 - He’s good at suspending his disbelief. It’s a good sign if you’re lost in a world. When he saw 1917, he forgot he was in the cinema. 23:13 - “It’s more when I’m watching my own videos, I can’t - I find it really hard to watch it as a viewer. I find I’m so critical of myself and I just see the edits and I’m just like, oh that could be different, that could be different. And even if after I’ve uploaded it I’ll get a text from my friend and they’re like 'oh that was so funny’ but in my head I’m like oh but I could have cut two seconds off that bit. So I think I should learn, and other people should learn, not to be so critical of yourself. Because there can be a point where - I made a video in December and I was looking back at the footage and I was like, I can’t upload this, this isn’t  - this isn’t good enough. But then I just persevered with the editing and it turned out to be really funny. But that self doubt was creeping in like, people aren’t gonna watch this, people aren’t gonna like this. So I need to work on that a bit and think - if people are enjoying my videos I should be able to enjoy them as well.”24:11 - It’s hard not to be numbers obsessed because youtube tells you as soon as you sign in what’s performing well and not. You don’t want to get that feeling when you first log in to your channel, and you can’t really avoid it. “You’ve got to see it as a learning thing rather than an everybody hates me thing.” 25:42 - Once a video is out in the world, he lets it go. He doesn’t obsess over it. He’s more critical in the editing process and actually pressing go rather than after the fact. 26:08 - He’s particularly proud of his coming out video because of the unexpected reaction. The video production wasn’t incredible but he’s proud of the message. 26:40 - They ask him how he’d have felt in 2006 knowing where he’s at now. “No. I’d probably run away.” 26:47 - “I was so shy and anxious, I couldn’t even like… phone for a hairdressers appointment. I was that nervous about public interaction and talking and stuff like that. So the fact that I’ve got to this level now where I can go on stage or talk on a panel it’s just like - it’s kind of mindblowing looking back at where I was. I’m proud of myself for that.” 27:15 - He’s ready to sink his teeth into a big new project, to do something new that’s very Phil and his own thing. He’s obsessed with interactivity. He was making interactive videos ten years ago with youtube annotations and he thinks now broadcasters and traditional media is more accepting of that technology and narrative structure. 28:15 - He pitched one interactive thing that didn’t work out. He shouts out Complex and also Markiplier’s interactive youtube original. 29:02 - It’s good to get feedback on an idea that’s rejected. It would be weird if everyone said yes all the time. He goes a bit in depth here on potential reasons why a project may be rejected and not taking it as an attack or a big negative thing. 30:33 - If he made a film he’d write it, not be the star of it. He’s excited to see where that creative process goes. He’s written a few short stories and tried a long form script. He’s a control freak so he won’t release it until it’s perfect. 31:03 - He sees Youtube as his work, and scripting and pitches as a hobby. He’s not under a deadline with writing and can enjoy free flowing creativity, unlike youtube where he needs to make a video every week. 32:00 - Discussion about the illustrator they had for TABINOF, who worked on The Mighty Boosh.33:00 - When ask him for one thing he’s inspired by at the moment, he says Bandersnatch and talks about it a bit. He still has Scott Pilgrim and Gremlins in his heart, though. “Gizmo’s the one.”

Didn’t Want to Fall in Love - 3: Mr. Handsome Makes a Reappearance
“For the millionth time, I am fine!” Tony shot me a glare from the bar-stool he sat on, swatting my arms away when I tried to hug him. “If you tell anyone about what happened, I’ll kill you.”
         I sighed, setting a plate of French toast down in front of him. He stabbed it with his fork. I sighed again.
         “Look, if you want to talk about it, I’m here for you. You’re my platonic life-partner, remember?”
        His lips twitched, and I could tell he was trying his best not to smile. “Have you ever considered the two of us? Together? As in, an actual couple? Not that being your platonic life-partner isn’t amazing.”
         “Us? A couple? That would mean sharing a bed with you, and you hog the sheets. It would also require us to kiss and stuff. Ew.” He shoved me, and I laughed. “In all seriousness though, nah. I don’t even know why we kissed all those years ago.”
         “I’ve just been terrified at the thought of what happened to my uncle ever since I heard about the accident.” Tony’s playful grin faded away and he glanced at me. Some of his hair fell into his eyes and I pushed it back. “It’s crazy to think about how much one accident can change someone’s life. And now he’s got a granddaughter and he can’t even really play with her because of his condition and—I don’t know, it just weighs down on me.”
         I stood from my seat, pausing beside him, resting a hand on his bicep. “I’m sure good ole Uncle Will doesn’t want you to mourn over him all the time. Why don’t you give your cousin a call and see how things are going? I’m sure he’d like to have a conversation with you.”
         Tony shook his head, still poking at the food I’d made him instead of eating it. “I haven’t spoken to Mike since Ella was born almost three years ago. And with another one on the way, I’m sure he doesn’t have time to sit around and talk.”
         “Well, while you sit around and contemplate life, I’m off to school. Don’t skip your Asia Pacific Political Systems course again, do you hear me? You better not be here when I get back, Mr. International Business Major.”
        I patted him on the back, smiling at the annoyed look he shot my way. He shoved a piece of French toast in his mouth, speaking to me with his mouth still full. “Whatever you say, Mom. I could give you a ride if you want.”
        Unlike most people, I preferred to take public transportation. It gave me an opportunity to sit and think about life, daydream, or catch up on reading whenever I could. “It’s fine, I can take the bus. Text me when you’re leaving, okay? We can meet up after class and go to that café where the girl always is.”
         The bus was already packed full when I stepped on, forcing me to stand near the front for the entire half hour trip. I thanked the driver when I hit my stop, gripping the straps of my backpack as I walked from the bus stop to the entrance of my college. After my only class of the day, the sociology club had a meeting. It would be the first one I attended in months.
        My class focused on criminology. I found myself distracted during the lecture, aimlessly scrolling through social media news feeds. A local BookTuber I’d followed years ago popped up. He was now published, while also still having quite a bit of influence on YouTube. I’d even met him once in passing and hated to admit I’d fangirled a bit inside. Funny enough, he was also the best friend of Tony’s cousin’s wife. It really was a small world.
         An elbow nudged me in the ribs and I frowned, looking up from my phone to the front of the classroom, where Professor Jameson had her eyes trained on me. Without a word, she went back to teaching the lecture. Words weren’t necessary. I felt embarrassed enough from the look. The girl who sat beside me gave an apologetic smile for the earlier jab.
         As soon as Professor Jameson dismissed us, I ran from the room to the college cafeteria, where the sociology club meeting would take place. I almost had a heart attack when I saw the one person who sat at the meeting table. He’d never attended any meetings before.
         Mr. Handsome—Justin—shifted in his seat when our eyes met. I approached with caution, cursing myself for being over-dramatic at the banquet a few nights earlier. No doubt he would call me out on my behavior.
         “Hello, Isabelle. It’s nice to see you again.” He spoke with formality, iciness lacing his voice.
         I forced a smile. “Hi, Justin. How’ve you been?”
         “All right. What happened to you at the banquet?”
         Great. Straight to the point. I both admired and despised him for it.
         “Um, something came up. I had to run home. Quite literally.” Surprisingly, he smiled at this.
        Justin had a wonderful smile. Far more wonderful than Paul, who I still despised for making fun of my father’s decision to take my mother’s surname. He had messaged me on Tinder later that night, but I didn’t bother to answer. I deleted the app without hesitation.
          “It’s fine, I shouldn’t have asked you to leave the party with me. But I have to let you know that I wasn’t planning on making any moves. Honestly, it would be nice to have a friend instead of a relationship. I’m more focused on school right now.”
         Could it be? Had I ruined a potential friendship by running away?
        I finally took a seat beside him, the smile I gave genuine. And nervous. During my three years at college, I’d encountered plenty of people, though none of them ended up as permanent friends. Just classroom friendships. The same went for Tony, but he still kept in touch with our high school friends as well.
         “Would it be too late to consider being friends? I’m sorry I ran away from you.” Heat rushed to my face when he grinned, a light chuckle falling from his lips. I continued. “Honestly, the idea of love kind of puts me off. But I would love to be friends with you! The woman I saw in the bathroom said you were a perfect gentleman.”
         He grimaced. “That was actually my aunt. Well, we aren’t related by blood, but she’s been my mother’s best friend since childhood. Can I ask why you’re put off by the idea of love? You don’t have to answer, of course.”
        “No, no, it’s fine! I had this massive crush on a guy in high school, around my sophomore year, actually, and he turned out to be a total tool. Not only did he reject me hardcore when I gathered up the courage to admit that I loved him, but he also bullied my best friend all throughout high school. It only got worse when he found out we’d had a moment at a school dance.”
         Justin looked genuinely interested. “Seriously? Hmm. And what exactly does a moment mean? Is this best friend a guy?”
         “You would be correct, he’s a guy. Tony. And by moment, I mean we kind of kissed in front of a bunch of people. Well, no, not really. It was in a corner of the room. No one—Why are you looking at me like that?” I realized a second later that I’d divulged way too much information to him.
         Judging from the red in his cheeks, I guessed he wanted to laugh. “You aren’t the type of person who thrives on small talk, are you?”
         “Sorry, I’ve always preferred long conversations. Asking someone about the weather has never really excited me.”
        “I think that’s great. Hey, since we’ve decided to become friends, do you think you can tell me what your dream job is now?”
          I’d almost forgotten about that conversation. “Painter,” I said. “An art gallery owner if I can’t sell my own paintings. What about you?”
        He laughed. “I knew you weren’t paying attention on Saturday! My deepest secret is actually that I play violin. I wanted to be a famous violinist when I was younger. Clearly that never happened. I was by no means a child prodigy.”
         “You should let me hear your music sometime. I’m sure you’re great.” Considering I couldn’t even sing, let alone play a musical instrument, anyone would probably sound beautiful to my untrained ears. Still, the image of Mr. Handsome also being extremely gifted at music somehow fit.
         A deep blush stained his entire face, and Justin glanced around the room before leaning in closer. The rest of the sociology club would be here any minute now. “I have some recordings on my phone if you’d like to hear them. Promise you’ll keep this a secret between us?”
         I looked at him with wide eyes, nodding enthusiastically. The violin had always been one of my favorite instruments, right after the harp. He blushed even more, a grin spreading across his face as he pulled a pair of old-school headphones from his bag and plugged them into his phone. The sounds of the other people in the cafeteria faded away, replaced by a violin version of “Amazing Grace.”
         As the song drew to a close, I almost had to wipe away a few tears. Justin rolled his eyes when he saw that, but I could tell it meant a lot to him that I’d enjoyed listening.
         “What do ya think?” he asked, winding the headphones cord around his left hand. “Was it okay?”
         “Okay? That was amazing! No pun intended.” He chuckled, avoiding meeting my eyes. I leaned back in my chair. “Seriously, have you considered uploading yourself to YouTube? That’s the best way to get famous nowadays. The beauty of social media.”
         A few people I recognized from other meetings took a seat at the table, greeting us with toothy grins. I smiled back before turning my attention back to Justin. He seemed like a different person, shy and reserved instead of the confident and relaxed man he’d appeared to be at the banquet.
         “No, I’ve never thought of that. I’m not exactly the kind of guy people want to stare at on a screen for any amount of time.” He whispered this, eyeing the two girls who sat across from us.
         The idea that someone I’d called Mr. Handsome would think himself unattractive was ridiculous. “Trust me, a lot of girls would love to stare at you on a screen.”
        Before he could say anything else, the president of our club appeared. She spent the next forty-five minutes discussing volunteer opportunities with the members, urging anyone who had free time to dedicate it to helping out the community. We did all want to dedicate the next few decades of our lives to the people, after all. After the meeting ended, I jumped out of my seat and threw on my backpack. I had to run home and drop off my stuff before meeting Tony at the café.
          “Isabelle, wait!” Justin jogged to catch up to me, his honey-blond hair bouncing with every step he took. He was already gasping for air when he reached me. Kind of sad, considering we’d only crossed the one building, but I kept that thought to myself. “Would it be okay if we exchanged numbers? Sorry if I’m being a little straightforward, I just don’t know how else we’d keep in touch.”
         It always surprised me when someone asked for my number. “Yeah, sure. We should hang out some time. I actually think I really like you, Justin.”
        He smiled again. God, that smile must get him any girl he wanted. “Why thank you, Isabelle. I like you too. Enough to even forgive you for climbing out of a bathroom window to avoid me. I’m kidding,” he added when heat rushed to my face.
         “I promise I won’t run away like that again. You aren’t so bad, Mr. Handsome.”
        “Mr. Handsome?” But I’d already walked away. He called out to me and I laughed, turning around to face him but continuing to increase the distance between us. “What’s that supposed to mean, Isabelle?”
         A few people stared at us. “You’ll find out someday! And just call me Izzy!”
         “Until next time, Izzy!”
        I waved goodbye, the grin plastered on my face almost painful. After three years, I had finally made a friend. The happiness remained the rest of the day, growing when I met Tony outside of the main building. He gave a surprised laugh when I launched myself into his arms, wrapping my arms so tight around his neck he told me to stop before he suffocated.
         “Why are you so happy? Did you sneak off to the bar instead of going to class? If I have to go, then so do you, Iz.”
         “Oh, shut up! I made a new friend! Isn’t that great? And you’ll never guess who it is either.”
         Tony had to pry me off him, holding me at an arms distance with a raised eyebrow. “Who?”
        “The guy I ran away from at the banquet. I know, I know!” I frowned at the incredulous look he shot me. “Turns out he just wanted a friend, too. Ooh, and he’s also a violinist! I’m going to try to convince him to post a video to YouTube.”
         “Sounds like you had a rather eventful afternoon.” We started to walk down the sidewalk toward the parking lot, the horrible yellow Taurus standing out amongst the neutral shades of the surrounding vehicles.
         I shrugged, scratching my left arm. “Not really, just that one thing. How about you? Are you feeling better now?”
        He grunted as a response, sliding into the driver’s seat. I pursed my lips, wondering why the problem was now, but ignored it and climbed into the passenger seat.
         “Actually, no, I’m not feeling better,” Tony said as he started the car. “I hate what I’m studying with a passion. If I felt even a fraction of love for business instead of the passionate hate I feel for it, I would be unstoppable. But no, I would rather work at Starbucks than pursue business.”
          “Hey, don’t hate on the poor baristas! That job offers tons of benefits, you know.” He realized why I’d taken insult and looked over at me, a nervous grin pasted on his face. I’d been a barista for three years, only quitting my job a little more than a year and a half ago in favor of a summer receptionist job at my father’s own business.
        We were at the same spot Tony had almost hit Zack the Waiter when he spoke again. “So, what does this girl you mentioned look like? Is she there every single time?”
         “She has light brown hair, and yes, she is. She also checks you out every single time.” It wasn’t a lie, I’d seen her staring at his back whenever he ordered or glancing at his face whenever he walked by. A person would have to be blind not to see she had a massive crush.
         “Okay, time to keep up my end of the bargain.” Tony looked like he would rather retreat back to the apartment and check out his matches on the apps, but he still walked into the café without heading straight to the counter like usual.
        The girl sat in the corner of the room with a laptop on the table in front of her. She looked up when Tony and I entered, and their eyes locked for five whole seconds. I counted. Of course, she looked away first, the furious blush on her face making Justin’s look like a slight flush.
         Because Tony was…well, himself, he didn’t approach her. He decided to go and order his usual chilled hot chocolate instead, glancing at the girl while he waited for his drink. I tried not to snort. I ordered the same drink as Tony, smiling when he chose to take a seat close to this dreamer.
         We sat and talked for a bit before deciding it was time to head home. I met Tony’s eyes, silently yelling at him to talk to the girl, who also watched him. He shook his head, the movement so slight I just caught it. Sighing, I stood from my chair and headed to the exit.
         The unnamed girl watched us go, a flicker of disappointment shining in her eyes. She noticed me watching and her lips curved up in a subtle smile. I returned the smile, cursing Tony for deciding now was the time he would bail out on our deal.
         At least she seemed to forget about us a few seconds later, looking back at her computer and beginning to type away.
        “Are you serious?” I resisted the urge to smack him in the head when we got to the car. “Did you not see that? She was waiting for you to talk to her!”
         “She probably thinks we’re together, Izzy! Besides, why does the guy always have to make the first move? That’s bullshit.” He started the car, which sounded like it wouldn’t last much longer.
         I took a deep breath and released it in a long sigh. He did have a point, as much as I hated to admit it. Girls shouldn’t be afraid to strike up a conversation.
          “Let’s just go home and watch a movie or something. I’ll make dinner this time.” I didn’t want to make him feel worse than he already did. “What would you like to eat? Spaghetti? Tacos? A microwave dinner because that’s probably the best chance you have at getting a full meal?”
         His mood lifted, and he looked at me with a new grin. “Let’s go for tacos. No offense but your spaghetti sucks.”
         “Saying ‘no offense’ does not make it less offensive.”
        Tony shrugged, and we spent the rest of the ride home listening to violin covers of popular music. I set to work on dinner when we arrived at home while Tony walked around with his camera and took pictures of random areas of the apartment. He stopped a few feet away from me and told me to smile. I stuck my tongue out instead.
         “Are we going to watch another horror? I’m thinking Evil Dead. Not the original, but the remake. The one that actually attempts to be scary. Not that I don’t love the original.” He took his usual spot at the kitchen island, flipped through the pictures on his digital camera.
        “Yeah, sure.” I looked down at my phone on the counter beside the stove when a text came in. It was from Justin, asking if I planned on volunteering for any events for the sociology club.
         Tony raised an eyebrow when I turned back to him. “What’s that look for?”
         “Oh, nothing. I’m just happy that I made a new friend.”
         “Mhhm. Are you sure this isn’t going to develop into something more? You did tell me you called him Mr. Handsome.”
         “Positive.” He didn’t look like he believed me, but he left it alone.
        Tony could think whatever he wanted, I had no intention of developing any romantic feelings for Justin. He would be a new friend, and that was it. I texted back that I was considering it. Justin answered minutes later. For the first time in weeks, I feel asleep looking forward to going to school the next day.
         The only concern I had on my mind was Tony and the girl who had a crush at him from the café. But that could wait for another day. First thing was first: I had to delete all the dating apps from my phone without telling Tony. Then, I would do everything I could to get my best friend the relationship he deserved.

What are your tips and tricks for staying motivated to continue writing?
Thanks, Jackie!  I’m flattered you are asking me that! I have one story I’m trying to finish currently (The Hypnotist), and I am struggling a bit with motivation, so this is timely. Thanks for this ask!
1. First, know WHY you write. I write because it brings me Joy and a sense of accomplishment. It’s something I’m trying in middle age that I ruled out because it wouldn’t earn me a living. I wanted to write something to prove that I could do it. I faced my fear of rejection with putting my words out there. Fanfic is a great place to practice and see what works and what doesn’t.
2. LEARN FROM FAILURES.  You may go back over previous drafts or uploads and cringe. Don’t. Ask yourself why you are cringing, identify your strengths and weaknesses from writing, and use that as a focal point to work on improving your current project. Writing is rewriting.
3. READ. Read other people’s work, read novels, read magazines and study what moves you. Don’t copy someone else’s work, but pay attention to what you liked.
4. CARRY A NOTEBOOK EVERYWHERE. If that’s impractical, you probably have a smartphone - there are apps that let you dictate with the mic in your phone. My favorite is WriterPlus, but there are others, I’m sure. The main thing is that when you get that thought in your head that’s a good idea, get it down quickly so you can come back to it. That way when you DO have time to sit down and write, you’ll have a notebook of ideas, thoughts, quotes, etc. to build upon. Time management is hard, and I burn out sometimes when I’ve got so much to do and so little time to write.
5. Don’t sweat it if you can’t do regular updates. I know - that’s a cardinal sin, right? Maybe. But if writing has gotten you to the point where your friendships, work, family or home life is suffering, your priorities are out of whack. You will probably lose readers. You won’t get the kudos a “hot” story will. But again, WHY are you writing?
6. Listen to music, look at art, go for walks, swim, exercise etc. for inspiration. Some of my best ideas have come to me when I’m doing that. The endorphins are going and your mind can wander. Just don’t forget to jot it down when you’re done!
7. Quit comparing yourself to other writers!  This is probably my #1 motivation killer. I’ll read something a fellow mutual has written and want to throw in the pen, so to speak, because I’m thinking, “I’ll never top THAT.” Well, guess what? I don’t have to! And it’s an opportunity to learn. It might even help me improve my next chapter.
8. Do an outline. If you’ve gone off course, go back and rewrite the outline and put in what you’ve changed so you can follow it. Nothing’s worse than goofing up your continuity.
9. Don’t take negative feedback personally.  Feel grateful readers are invested in your story enough to comment. If they are unsympathetic toward a character and that’s NOT what you intended, now you have a heads up that you need to fix it in your next chapter. If someone pointed out a continuity problem or typo, thank them for it and FIX IT. People get so damn sensitive about that shit that they don’t realize someone just saved the story by pointing it out. Those are beta comments! I like them, at least. Some people don’t, but just hearing “you’re great” when there was an actual storyline problem isn’t going to help you be a better writer. Try to interact with your readers and encourage them to say anything they want, because it’s going to help you!
10. Don’t take it so seriously. Writing should be a pleasure. It’s not (or shouldn’t) be a competition. I’ve asked writers since the time I got on Tumblr through now how they do it, and the answers are all varied, but I think all writers experience frustration and burnout at some point. And self-doubt. Even the writers that make my jaw drop because they are so good have said that! So go easy on yourself, and if it’s stressing you out, put it to the side. Are you getting paid for this? No.
11. Brainstorm with a reader or fellow writer. Tell them you are stuck and ask for help if you are really in a bind. When I first started writing this story, I bounced ideas of a few people, and that generated a lot of ideas just by having someone listening. I asked a reader who likes to PM me for feedback, and while she was very shy about doing so, I asked questions such as what she wanted to see in the next chapter, if adding in other characters felt like a distraction, which parts of the previous chapters hooked her and what was forgettable. And thank them for it, because that’s a really solid favor they are doing for you! You will be surprised how much that can motivate you to get going on your story again!
Whew - I didn’t realize I’d learned that much! Hope it helps someone out there. And I always appreciate hearing what motivates other writers!
Tools I find helpful:
1. Grammarly - free online, premium version is $45 (wait for them to cut the price down to that if you get it).
2. WriterPlus app (for taking notes on your phone using text-to-speech)
3. Scrivner (I just bought this and haven’t used it yet, but I heard so many positive things about it, I went ahead and got it)
4. Google Docx - If you haven’t tried it, this is a great way to work with another writer, show someone your work, have someone proofread your work, etc.
5. Playlists - Whether you use YouTube, spotify, Itunes or whatever, music that inspires you or helps set the mood for your story is a great thing to have on hand.
6. Capta and PicStitch for moodboards.
7. Screen captures - invaluable if you are going to promote your story or someone else’s on Twitter. I still haven’t got the hang of it, but since your character limit is reduced on Twitter, you need to have a short and sweet summary, and you need to upload a snapshot of that taken on your phone and then upload that plus a moodboard, and then that gives you room to add the AO3 link, Reylofic hastags, and something catchy. I’m still trying to figure out Twitter!
That’s it...happy writing! Stay with it and never give up!

Mike Shinoda's show in Zurich, 17. March 2019
I had the amazing chance to attend one of Mike’s concerts of the last Post Traumatic Tour. And it was absolutely awesome!
You can read all about my little adventure under the cut. It’s pretty long though. xD
I was very surprised when Mike announced a show in Switzerland, since we did pretty bad in the „WeDemand“ campaign and I barely knew any other Swiss fans. But I was so grateful and excited – Zurich is only about 20km from my home! In order to help make the show a success I founded a Facebook group for it. On show day we had 90 members! I had also joined the Linkin Park Street Team a while ago and they sent me some posters to put up. And I printed 1'000 flyers and distributed them around Zurich with some friends from the group. I met so many nice people from all over the world thanks to that group: Finland, Denmark, Brazil, Spain, USA, etc. And even finally some fellow Swiss fans! We planned flash mobs, painted a flag and even had a little meet up the day before the show. It was so much fun! Thank you LP Family, I love you all dearly. <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Since I'm an LPU member, I tried my luck with the Meet & Greet contest again. And as usual when it comes to random, luck-based things, I had none. But there was another contest by the host of the event. They wanted us to tell them, why we deserve to win a Meet & Greet. Both of my sisters wrote beautiful, heartwarming comments about my commitment with the FB group and advertising, but also how I coped with Chester's death by drawing all those LP artworks and how much this band (and especially Mike) mean to me. Even complete strangers said, that they think I deserve it most. That moved me to tears! At first the tickets were given away to someone else. But one of the winners got ill and asked the host to give the ticket to someone who really wants it. And they chose me! I couldn't believe it! That was so nice of all of them. Thank you so much. <3 And so the most incredible thing happened: I got to meet my hero! The 16 lucky winners were taken into the cool London bus of a local radio station. There we all got to meet Mike one by one. It was awesome, but unfortunately also very brief. Everything happened so fast, that I didn't really have time to realize what was going on. I just remember that the first thought that went through my head when I stood in front of him was: “He is so CUTE!”. I mean, I knew that before, but he's even more adorable in real life and up close. xD I was very nervous and probably talked too much, which is very unlike me. But I could finally give Mike the Post Traumatic artwork I drew for him, which means my biggest dream came true. And he signed the second one for me. In the picture it looks as if he wanted to say something about it, but couldn't because I was blabbering too much – damn! I'm so sorry, Mike. Oh, and the hat was a gift to him from one of my friends from the group. I almost started laughing, when I realized he wore a jacket with the exact same pattern – that's so Mike! And also yay, free fluff. :D
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After the Meet & Greet we were even allowed to go into the venue first! That meant front row! I've never been that close to a stage before and was super excited about it. I'm usually not the “front row type”, since I'm quite reluctant and shy. While waiting there, I saw a crew member put our Swiss flag onto Matt's keyboard. I texted the girl, who painted it and she was super happy about it. We succeeded with getting the flag to the crew through the M&G – I was damn proud of us! xD Then the “opening act” started. Well, it was more of a last minute stand in, since the original one (a local rapper) got canceled without any explanation. And so a young “DJ” was hiding behind his laptop, playing one song after another without doing any DJ-ing. They could have just turned the radio on, but it was okay. We weren't there for him anyway. And finally, showtime! Mike, Matt and Dan entered the stage with lots of applause from the crowd. They even started the set with a song that hasn't opened any sets on this tour before: When They Come For Me. I love this song, it's so much fun! I was just hoping that my parents, who I talked into coming to the show too (yes, I did that with everyone I knew xD), didn't catch a certain word. I didn't want them to think badly of Mike. xD Following was the probably most well-known (at least in Switzerland) Fort Minor song Remember The Name, also unusually early in the set. Then Mike took the first little break and welcomed the audience. That was our signal for the first flash mob! It was a very spontaneous one, inspired by a certain video, he has uploaded just a few days prior. The front row was shouting: More cowbell! Mike started laughing and walked over to Dan, who indeed had a cowbell on his drum set. Mike said “Just for you guys.” and played a hilarious cowbell intro to Ghosts, which is a kinda funny song anyway, thanks to the sock puppets. I was so happy: Another success and we even made Mike laugh! :D
Tumblr media
Next Mike talked about a tweet from the same day, where someone was analyzing the chances of a song being played in his set. He doesn't like to be predictable, so he decided to screw up the statistics and play some extra rare songs tonight. Thank you, spreadsheet guy! xD The first song that came from this, was the hilariously sarcastic High Road. It's in my Top 3 FM songs and funnily enough, he played it last year in Cologne too – one of only 5 times on the tour! The following song had a high chance of being played and I love it very much: The emotional Roads Untraveled. During the “and if you need a friend, there's a seat here alongside me”, Mike pointed at the crowd again. That's just so nice of him! Then Mike played something super rare again, it was actually even a tour debut: Kenji! I know how much this song about the tragic history of his family means to Mike, so it was a great honor to hear it live. Some fans (including me) even made the peace sign at the end of the song, like he used to. That was really moving. And he continued with songs I love dearly, starting with the PT bonus track Prove You Wrong. Even though the melody sounds kinda sad, there is something so uplifting in those lyrics. Mike also put it into his Instagram stories and you can actually see me singing along. I sang every song as loud as I could, forgetting about my shyness for a while. It was amazing! The next song in the set was the only one that got me emotional in a negative way (but only for a second). I was prepared for In The End and his speech, but I was not prepared for Nobody Can Save Me. For a moment I was back on July 20th, sitting in the darkness of my room and singing along to the One More Light album while crying. Luckily I managed to snap out of that quickly, because I actually love this song. It's one of the best Linkin Park has ever written, in my opinion, because it has such a great message. Nobody can save us – only we ourselves can. And Mike sang so beautifully... What an honor to hear that live! Another OML song followed (luckily not OML itself, I just can't take that one): Sorry For Now. Dan played an amazing drum solo in the bridge and Mike added the demo verse of Lift Off afterwards. He then even rapped the chorus of Step Up, a super rare and old LP song! (I could tell, because barely anybody knew the answer to “Who can rock a rhyme like this?” - I swear I shouted “Like this!” as loud as I could. xD) I love Step Up! Especially in the amazing rock-hip hop medley with Nobody's Listening and It's Going Down, that LP used to play in the Meteora days. Mike then also introduced Dan, who got a lot of applause from the crowd. Later he also introduced Matt, by asking him since when he's even been there. Matt answered: “The entire tour, but sometimes I take bathroom breaks.”, which resulted in Mike laughing about his British accent. These dorks! There was also another crew member, that Mike introduced to us: Photographer Chady. Some Swiss friends of his had invited Mike to eat Raclette (melted cheese that you usually put on potatoes, pickles and pearl onions – it's very tasty!). Mike joked that eating lots of cheese before a show is really good for you. xD The set continued with PTs lead single Crossing A Line, which inspired my artwork. I just love how hopeful it is. During the song, Mike threw some guitar picks into the crowd. I wasn't trying to catch anything, since I already had that awesome signature and thought other fans deserved it more. But I guess Mike had other plans... During the bridge of the song he plays on his drum pads for a moment and then throws the sticks into the crowd blindly. Well, he tried to kill me with it! xD (Luckily I put the phone away, just a moment before the drumstick hit my hand. Damned it Mike, that hurt! xD)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He then played another PT song, which I love dearly: Hold It Together. The lyrics are pretty dark, but there is something very fun about the melody. The first mashup followed: Waiting For The End / Where'd You Go. The crowd's singing sounded amazing, especially in the outro, which is a piano version of WFTEs first verse and chorus. Mike praised us: “You guys have beautiful voices. You should sing more often, it's good for you.” Matt and Dan left the stage and Mike started this calm piano playing and speech. Time for our second flash mob! We held up signs that said: “Music Inspiration Kindness Emotion”. This time there were even more signs than for the first one. (I spent quite some time inviting every fan to join our flash mob before the show and handing out the signs I designed.) Mike noticed them, curiously asking “What are those?” Then he realized it: “That's my name! That's very kind. Thank you guys very much, that's cool.“ He seemed so happy and both of our flash mobs were a success! He then continued with his speech, saying that he doesn't want these shows to be sad, but to celebrate Chester's life instead. The crowd cheered very loudly for Chester for several minutes! And then we all sang the beautiful piano version of In The End together. After that, Mike asked us if we wanted to sing another song. Is that even a question?! xD He started to play Heavy, but stopped before the singing part, because he thought the crowd would want another song more. I already got worried during the show and it really hurt me, when I saw all the hate the Swiss crowd got on social media from people who weren't even there... As if we wouldn't know the words to Heavy... It's the most played LP song on the Swiss radio! We would have loved to sing it! (Me especially, because my father was in the crowd and he really likes that song.) But Mike decided that Numb would be a better fit, maybe even to not make everyone too sad. Numb is my favorite Linkin Park song, because it's the one that made me fall in love with the band in the first place. And it was awesome to sing it with so many people. The Swiss crowd did a great job! Video: In The End & Numb (with Mike's speech & reaction to the second flash mob) They closed the main set with my favorite medley of the tour: About You / Over Again / Papercut. Even though it reminds me a lot of Chester (About You & Over Again are the PT songs that are most about him) and it's really painful to see Mike perform Papercut's bridge alone, I could also enjoy it. Everyone was jumping around and shouting during Papercut. That song is just so great! Mike, Matt and Dan then left the stage for the encore break. The crowd started to sing “lift me up, let me go”, but not as loud as in Italy a few days before. We are just a generally reluctant nation. The hall also wasn't as full as I hoped it would be. There were probably around 2'000 people. Hopefully we did well enough for Mike to want to come back to Switzerland. After a few minutes, Mike, Matt and Dan sneaked back on stage, hiding behind their instruments. As if we wouldn't notice them anyway! Such dorks. xD They played a beautiful instrumental version of Robot Boy, which really let their skills and teamwork shine. It's so sad to think that this is the last Post Traumatic tour. Matt and Dan have really grown on me and it's hard to see them leave. Mike then sang a beautiful PT song I haven't heard live before and that wasn't even originally planned: World's On Fire. I know he wrote it for his wife Anna (and his kids), who is a wonderful person too, but it was as if the crowd was singing it for Mike. It's true, when the world's on fire, all we need is him. I'm so grateful that he shared PT with us! He led us all through the grief and darkness that followed Chester's death. And that night it was obvious, that we are in a much better place now. Following was the beautiful, consoling Castle Of Glass, one of my favorite LP songs. And then they played the second PT single Make It Up As I Go. Such an amazing song and it always reminds me of those hilarious moth memes. xD Mike encouraged us to sing his part of the chorus while directly looking at me. I was singing my heart out! He smiled and shouted “yeah!” That was an awesome moment. I rarely felt so appreciated like on that day, not just by Mike but also by the other fans. The last mashup followed: Good Goodbye / Bleed It Out (including a drunken pirate who wanted to give Mike a kiss xD) and the crowd went wild! For Running From My Shadow, the last song of the set, Mike came down to the crowd as he always does. He stood on the barricade just about two meters away from me. It was great to see him have so much fun up close! Afterwards he high-fived the front row (including me :D) and returned to the stage. He smashed one of Dan's cymbals until the end of the song and then soaked us in water. When Mike left the stage, he stopped at our Swiss flag and blew it a kiss. I loved seeing that, because it gave me hope that we didn't disappoint him and he might come back someday.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I still can't believe all of this actually happened! I made new friends from all over the world. I met my hero and finally got to give him my artwork. I got to spend the entire show in front row, super close to Mike. They played so many amazing songs and had so much fun. The flash mobs worked out and our flag made it on stage. All my hard work payed off. I really enjoyed this concert, it was a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you so much, everyone! I hope I'll see you all again soon. ;)

Day6 Reaction: Your first kiss
Request: hi! i love your writing. can i request a day6 reaction to your first kiss? thank you!
A/N: consider your wish granted! thanks for requesting & supporting my writing!
Warnings: cuteness
Jae Jaehyung
Tumblr media
Your first kiss with Jae happened before you guys were even officially together. It had kind of just happened, and it all felt really natural as well.
You guys had the type of relationship that made everyone think you guys were already a couple. You were constantly told to ‘just date already’ by the other members, but you guys had an unspoken agreement. It was like you had this connection that you could never really describe, it almost seemed pointless to make anything set in stone.
You guys were just having a chill day, it’d been a little since you last saw him since he was in Korea for awhile. To say you missed him was an understatement.
A whole bunch of fattening foods spread out everywhere on the table and on the floor in front of you, and Netflix. It wasn’t anything new for the two of you seeing how most of your bonding consisted of crying over cheesy movies together.
You had your head on his lap while he had his feet propped up on the table. While you were in the middle of babbling about how stupid the main character was Jae bent down and cupped your face, softly kissing you.
It was simple and sweet and didn’t last very long but it was enough to make butterflies erupt in your stomach and your cheeks to go pink.
Your hands flew up to your face to cover up the affect he had on you.
“I knew you liked me, I mean who doesn’t, look at me.”
And just like that, Jae ruined the moment.
Sungjin
Tumblr media
Your first kiss with Sungjin happened on your second date together when he took you to a ice skating rink with him.
He knew that you really couldn’t skate but that’s what was fun for him. Sungjin found it really cute to see you slip and slide everywhere, is that a little sadistic? Maybe, but he doesn’t really care.
He purposely chose a day where he knew the rink would be less busy so you guys wouldn’t have to worry about others.
The whole time you had a tight grip on his arm as you cautiously skated at a slow pace. If only you could see the way Sungjin was looking at you, it was like the whole universe was right in front of his eyes.
In that moment he was really happy that you had even given him a chance to let you be his.
In the midst of your fear he turned your face towards him and brought your lips together. You slowly melted against him moving your lips along with his, basking in the moment.
Brian Youngk
Tumblr media
Literally a fluff ball but only for you.
It was unrequited love type of situation between the two of you. He fawned over you at night when he laid in bed. He wanted to hold your hand and cradle you in his arms, but this was simply a dream. You didn’t feel that way towards him, never and never will.
At least that is what he had convinced himself.
Brian was probably the smartest person that you knew but he didn’t catch on to things easy, one of those things being your obvious attempts to flirt with him.
After weeks of trying to get Brian to notice your efforts, even going as far as to send him flowers with a card containing all your feelings, you got nothing but a short text from Jae saying he had been blamed for the gift. Brian was so caught up in the fact you couldn’t possibly have feelings for him that he completely rejected the thought of the flowers even coming from your hands.
Jae MUST’VE been pranking him since he was the only one who knew of his feelings towards you.
You couldn’t stand it anymore, you were borderline pissed. You had taken all this time to try and get Brian to see and yet to no avail! You were at a loss, maybe things were just not meant to go past being friends in your relationship. You had decided to give it one last shot, inviting Brian over for “dinner”, which was more or less going to be an interrogation.
You went all out cooking all his favorite things, cleaning your whole apartment, because if your chances with him were gonna die you at least wanted to have pride while it happened.
Everything was all fun and games until you guys were half passed out on the couch in your living room after having eaten what felt like a whole kitchen. When this happened you decided to get serious about your original objective, but you had no clue where to start the conversation.
Brian was spewing on and on about how you needed to watch the latest Netflix original and you felt something inside you snap watching his lips move.
Before you could bring yourself back to your senses your lips were on his, moving messily and greedily out of all your frustration.
He tasted like a weird mixture of meat and Cherry Coke as he instantly responded eagerly to your mouth.
You wrapped your arms around his neck pulling him closer as you swung your legs over his lap, straddling him.
You pulled away from the sloppy kiss, you arms still hooked around his neck, staring at him with dazed eyes. Something about his lips on yours felt almost like a sort of high.
“Why did you do that?” Brian asked, his lips swollen and red, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion making him look sort of like a lost puppy dog.
“Because I’m the one who sent the flowers you idiot, how can someone possibly be so dense!”
wow this one was hella long i’m so sorry! aha
Wonpil
Tumblr media
Your first date with Wonpil was so special, almost to the point of magical.
Wonpil had planned to take you to Disneyland for your first date, he knew of your fascination with all things Disney. It reminded you of the simple and sweet things in life, not only that but the positive parts of life, he loved that about you.
When he was down, you were always like a bright shining light to him, so he found himself always wanting to see you smile.
The whole day was pure and almost a little bit cliche, but everything between the both of you felt so natural and vibrant.
Both of you never wanted the date to end, and the ending was definitely bitter sweet.
While dropping you off at your front door step Wonpil found the perfect opportunity to kiss you. Your mickey mouse ears were slightly tilted on your head and as he went to adjust the ears back into place, your eyes locked and you both realized just how close you guys were to each other. His eyes flicked to your lips and then back up to your eyes, in that moment you could have sworn you could hear your heartbeat in your ears.
Wonpil slowly moved his hands from your hat to softly caressing your cheeks with the pads of his thumbs.
“Can I kiss you?” He softly asked, his eyes locked with yours as you slowly nodded your head.
“Of course”
Wonpil smiled softly as he closed the distance between you two, gently placing his lips on yours.
Your lips slowly moved in sync as one of his hands slipped to your waist inching you a bit closer to him.
The kiss was in no way heated and only lasted for a few seconds but you could definitely tell that your cheeks were a rosey color by now.
“I’m so glad I got to spend the day with you” you whispered
Dowoon
Tumblr media
It’s kind of like girl code to never go after your friends crush, right?
But what if your friends crush just so happens to be yours as well? What if you know your friend only wants them just to be able to say they have them? What if said friend doesn’t see the way that his eyes twinkle when he sees dogs, or see the way his nose crinkles in disgust at the taste of anything remotely bitter?
What would you do if your friend was never known to be the nicest person alive, but rather someone rather narcissistic and manipulative?
In those moments when you sat in your dimly lit room, you racked your brain for the reason why you were even her friend. Because you had been ever since you were kids? It was almost like an obligation.
You were never one to talk much, you always let her do the talking, you always let her have what she wanted and never complained.
What if for once you wanted just ONE thing she also wanted?
That thing had a name, a name that felt almost like silk rolling off your tongue - Dowoon.
The sweet and cutely shy boy that had moved in a house down from yours. The boy who didn’t seem like it, or act like it, but was actually in the grade above you.
Perhaps you had just been unlucky when he was assigned your math tutor, or maybe you were having a lucky streak.
Your friend seemed to be pretty enamored over the fact that she was supposedly struggling more than you in math. That she didn’t get the chance for a tutor let alone Dowoon as hers.
It sounded like a mosquito constantly buzzing around your head with how much she liked to complain about the damn sessions that you and Dowoon now had.
She was now walking a fine line with you; it was like all of your anger towards her from over the years was just boiling over the surface.
You and Dowoon actually got along quite well and you soon came to realize that he was more than just cute or shy. He was probably the most genuinely interesting person you had ever had the pleasure of meeting.
Things got quickly comfortable between the two of you, and you started to meet up for just each others company rather than just knowledge.
When you found yourself on Dowoon’s couch with his lips softly pressed against yours as he delicately held onto your hips, it was kind of unsurprising.
An image of your friend quickly flashed through your brain as you caressed Dowoon’s face, but in that moment you couldn’t be bothered to even care.
ミ★ wow this took forever again, are we surprised? nopeeeeee. but soon i’ll be uploading a got7 version of this!
also my friend and I spent like 5 minutes trying to figure out the right way to say laid? like is it laid or layed or lay or lain or lie WHAT? i don’t know so you get what you get.

Singing In Quiet
HAPPY BIRTHDAY @galaxy-starheart why the fuck can i still not tag you tumblr plz
I heard you had a thing for this ship. So I hope you enjoy. :D I may or may not have been inspired by a recent Mark upload. >u>
(For those unaware, this is about Sexyplier and Brother Jeremiah. You know, Mark egos. Go check out @alcordraws for more deets. uwu)
Sexy was beautiful.
No, Sexy was more than that. Sexy was funny, smart, witty, creative, kind, generous and a plethora of other positive adjectives one could find in a thesaurus. Jeremiah could go on and on for days about the wonders of his boyfriend.
Which was precisely why he never felt good enough. Plain looking, shortly cropped hair, simple clothes and glasses. He was a younger Mark. A scrawnier Mark.
Not like Sexy, with his long, dark hair and toned muscles. He was the older Mark. The more defined Mark without the baby face and instead hosting a gorgeously chiseled jaw. No nerdy glasses. Stunning no matter what he wore, which was often very little.
No, Jeremiah just couldn't compare. He often wondered why Sexy bothered with him at all. He had to do something. Something to show Sexy he was worth it. Otherwise, Sexy might realize just how out of Jeremiah's league he was, and leave him for someone better. Someone more suave and handsome and smooth talking.
Mark had a girlfriend. Amy was a lovely person; all the egos loved her, or at least tolerated her existence. Surely he'd have a tip or two, surely he'd know how to maintain someone's interest. Jeremiah turned to Mark's videos, combing through them, searching for that thing that made Amy find him worthwhile. That kept her with him for all these years. There had to be something.
He found it in a recent video. A cover Mark had tried for the first time, with his guitar. It was rough around the edges and Mark was clearly nervous, but even so his angelic chords managed to shine through.
Music. Singing.
Of course. How could Jeremiah have forgotten? Sexy had some of the most beautiful vocals he'd ever heard. Granted, all the egos shared some degree of Mark's singing ability, and perhaps Jeremiah was a bit biased. Still, Sexy enjoyed music, and he knew he was a fantastic singer. Jeremiah couldn't compare to Sexy's beauty, or his charms, but maybe... just maybe...
He could sing.
That was how Jeremiah found himself knocking on Mark's door with an acoustic guitar in his hands, instead of his usual bible.
Mark was understandably surprised. Not only was it odd to find an ego on his doorstep, but for it to be Jeremiah, and with a guitar? He blinked and rubbed at his eyes in an effort to make sure they weren't playing tricks on him. "Jeremiah? What are you... you're not on another Mormon spewing spree through town, are you? Because, you know, that's not gonna work on me."
Jeremiah gave a sheepish grin. "No, nothing like that. I just... I wanted to ask, if maybe... you could give me some guitar lessons?"
That set Mark to blinking again. He scrubbed a hand at his eyes and face. "Wait... what? You want me to... what? Lessons? Since when did you want to play the guitar?" He paused, then squinted at Jeremiah. "...where did you even get a guitar?"
Jeremiah's grin became a bit more strained. "I bought it. Of course. And, uh... no reason really. Just... saw your video, and thought it'd be interesting to learn." He rushed forward, hoping to evade anymore questions. "So are you going to teach me or not?"
Mark frowned and scratched at the back of his head, but eventually shrugged. "I mean... yeah, okay. I can spare some time. I'm still practicing myself, anyway... so I'm not sure how great of a teacher I'll be."
Jeremiah's shoulders relaxed, and his smile smoothed out some. His death grip on the neck of his guitar loosened. "I'll take whatever you can give me."
Thus the lessons began. Jeremiah hadn't taken the time to learn many things in his existence, but when it came to Sexy, his determination was stoked into a roaring blaze. He sat through session after session with Mark, almost daily, going over chords and bars and rhythms. It wasn't long at all before his fingers bled, and he came home to the treehouse covered with bandaids.
"What happened to your hands?" Sexy would ask, frowning, gently turning over the digits in his own to examine the bandaids.
Jeremiah hated lying to Sexy, but he needed this to be a surprise. He always came up with some excuse or other to satisfy his boyfriend's concern.
Oh, I was helping Bill with the garden.
I got into a scuffle with Opinion Minion again.
Chef needed help in the kitchen, you know I'm not the best with a knife....
Sexy never seemed to fully believe Jeremiah, but he accepted every excuse. He would scatter kisses across Jeremiah's fingers, and then move onto his face; loving, tender, slow. Sexy cared about him so deeply. It was precisely the reason he pressed on, working through the pain and frustration and road blocks.
"Have you been practicing on your own at all?" Mark asked one day.
Jeremiah winced. "I can't. Se... I mean, I have no privacy for it. I don't want the others judging me." He swallowed. Jeremiah still hadn't confessed his reasons to Mark.
Mark had pursed his lips into a frown. Much as he wanted to reassure Jeremiah, he understood that anxiety all too well. He wracked his brain, knowing solo practice was important to getting better. "What if... I introduced you to someone? I think he'd have just the solution."
Jeremiah was wary, but he was also desperate. His anniversary with Sexy was coming up, and he needed this song to be perfect. So he accepted Mark's offer, though he found himself quickly regretting it when he was led to the doors of Egos, Inc. itself. He stayed close to Mark, having been inside the building before but never without Sexy at his side. Somehow, his boyfriend always gave him a confidence boost. It certainly didn't help Mark was leading him to a part of the building he'd never been to before. Usually, they just borrowed the more extensive kitchen space.
Yet Mark took him past that area and deeper into the halls. He knocked on a door, and it was opened by one of the androids- not the truly terrifying ones, but the odd one. The misfit: Bingiplier. He'd greeted Mark enthusiastically, attempting to do the same with Jeremiah.
Jeremiah had managed a shaky greeting in response. It was enough, and they were invited into what appeared to be a studio. Mark pointed out the ego they were actually here to see- Mark Bop. Of course. How could Jeremiah be so dull? Even if he wasn't familiar with all of the main egos, everyone knew about the musical one. Why didn't he think of coming to Mark Bop for help before?
The ego was more shy and subdued than Jeremiah expected. It was a welcome temperament, though, in the wake of his rattled nerves. He resisted the urge to pilfer some of the expensive equipment, and instead thanked Mark Bop profusely when he conceded to lending Jeremiah one of his recording booths. Finally, he would have a private place to practice. No worries about Sexy or one of the other egos catching him. No fear of his surprise being spoiled too early.
He really owed Mark for this. Maybe he'd return that blue flannel he'd snatched a while back.
Maybe.
With the solo practices, Jeremiah was able to begin piecing together his song. Mark's guidance was paramount, and even Mark Bop offered up a suggestion or two whenever he happened to be around. It was coming together, slowly but surely, and Sexy was none the wiser. He only hoped his growing absences from the treehouse weren't giving his boyfriend the wrong impression.
When the day came, Jeremiah texted Sexy to meet him in his bedroom. In reality, he was waiting outside, standing in the small clearing beneath the treehouse with his guitar at the ready. He could clearly see into his own bedroom window from his position, and once he spied Sexy's silhouette he fired off another text.
Look outside.
It took a few moments, but eventually the window was opened to reveal the surprised, stunning face of Sexy staring down at him. He pressed his hands to the windowsill and leaned outside. "Jerry? What're you doing down there? Is that... is that a guitar?"
Jeremiah tried to grin, but his lips trembled too much. His fingers were shaking as well where they rested on the strings. Sexy was spectacular, leaning out the window in his adorable pink crop top with his dark hair flawlessly framing his face; breathtaking. It took him several tries to find his voice. "Sexy. We've been together for... for a year now, and... I just wanted to do something for you. To... to show you just how much I love you. So... listen, okay? This is for you."
Sexy had his hands pressed over his mouth, brown eyes wide with a mixture of disbelief and adoration. Jeremiah took it as a sign he could continue, and drew a deep breath.
He messed up the first chord. Resisting the urge to curse under his breath, he bit at his lip and tried again. The notes were practically muscle memory by now, but his anxiety was making his palms sweaty; his fingers slipping. Jeremiah furrowed his brow and muscled through it, looping the intro of the song once over when his voice failed to work.
But the words couldn't hide forever, and soon they were spilling out. "When your legs don't work like they used to before... and I can't sweep you off of your feet...."
Maybe it was a cheap move, picking the same song as Mark. He'd just been inspired. The song was so romantic, and he couldn't hear it without thinking of Sexy and himself. It was perfect. "Take me into your loving arms. Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars. Place your hand on my beating heart."
His version was less so, but... Sexy was still listening. He was still watching with rapt attention, so Jeremiah would keep playing, keep singing. His anxiety never dissipated, but his confidence grew the deeper into his performance he got. His voice evened out and his grip on the guitar became more sure, the notes flowing into a steadied rhythm. At some point, he'd closed his eyes, just allowing himself to feel the music and sing from the heart.
That's what Sexy was to him. His heart. This song could never convey it enough, could never compare, but it was something. Finally, he had something. "Thinking out loud... baby, we found love right where we are...."
The final chords of the song trailed off and Jeremiah drew another deep breath. His eyes were still closed as he tried to compose himself, tried not to think the worst of the ensuing silence. Had Sexy left? Did he hate it? Did he think Jeremiah's efforts were stupid? Not enough? What if he-
The sound of footsteps rushing towards him had Jeremiah's eyes flying open, just in time for him to receive an armful of crying Sexy. Stunned, he held his boyfriend close, the guitar awkwardly hanging off his shoulder to the side. Sexy was burying his face into Jeremiah's neck, hiccuping and sobbing, pressing wet little kisses there while he clung to Jeremiah like a drowning man. Jeremiah's heart hammered away in his chest. "Sexy...?"
"I love you so much."
Color flooded Jeremiah's cheeks. He shrugged his guitar around to his back so he could hold Sexy closer, better. Gently, one of his hands rubbed down the elegant curve of Sexy's back. The other carded fingers through his soft, black hair. His own lips trembled again while his heart performed backflips. "I... love you too, Sexy. So much. You mean... the world to me, and... thank you. For staying with me...." His voice cracked, and he gave a little sniffle.
Sexy laughed, raw and wet and incredulous, and pulled his face out from Jeremiah's neck. It was red and puffy from his tears, his nose running, bangs sticking to his forehead and in Jeremiah's opinion he was still the most gorgeous thing he'd ever seen. "Of course I'm with you, you big dumb idiot! I wouldn't want anyone else- I don't want anyone else. I want you. It's always been you... it will always be you...."
Jeremiah let out a soft sob of his own, brown eyes misting over with the threat of tears. He choked a little on his words, "I love you so much. I don't..." He hiccuped, and Sexy pressed a finger to his lips.
"You don't have to do anything else but kiss me, damn it." Sexy was smiling. He removed his finger in favor of cupping Jeremiah's face in his hands, thumbs stroking along his flushed cheek bones. "Kiss me."
Jeremiah could do nothing but oblige.

The Offworld Author's Book Launch Map is a Step-by-Step Schedule to Publishing your Book.
It’s written by Self-Published Authors, who tell it like it is.
It assumes you have your manuscript professionally edited and ready to move on to the next stage. If not, it really needs to be before you hit The Map.
If you need an Editor to give it the once over for you, do that here.
If you’ve got a great idea but don’t know how to write it (or haven’t got time) have a professional author ghostwrite your book for you. You can do that here.
Beyond that, lay on Macduff
This Map covers Book Design, Book Production, Book Rights, Book Reviews, Book Publishing, Book Publicity, Book Promotion and Social Media, Literary Agent Pitch, Promo Videos, Audiobooks, Translation, Author Websites, Search Engine Optimisation, Screenplay Adaptation, Film Makers, Film Producers and Original Music
Watch the Movie, Read the Map or use the Self Publishing Author's Toolkit, a full complement of Author and Publisher Services and links and shortcuts mentioned in the Map.
Watch the Movie
Read the Map - The Movie Transcript
This Map will take you through the tasks and timelines of taking your Manuscript, Making your Book, Publishing it and Selling it.
Click the map on the right or the progress bars to jump to any of the Five Key Sections or just let the slides roll and take a stroll through the full Timeline.
The fairly sedate pace of the Timeline assumes you have work, maybe some kiddies and a pussycat lurking nearby, fancying a nice warm keyboard.
You’ll see these links from time to time. They’ll take you to where any particular task can be completed for you.
Before we get cracking on the fun stuff, there’s a bit of Admin to do. Trust me, it’ll save you a lot of time and panic later on.
You’ve worked with your Editor to get your manuscript tight. Day 1 is the day after you complete their suggested edits. They should have gone through most of these final checks but just in case ……..
Hello. I’m Astrid and I’ll be walking through this with you
Early Admin
Day 1
Formatting
Make sure your Manuscript is error-free and perfect. Yes, your Editor should have done it for you but, like most other things here, it’s down to you in the end.
Format Paragraphing, Indentations, Make sure you run a Grammar and Spell Check on at least two applications.
Libre Office (Free) is a great tool for this. If you're anything like me and just need to get words on the page without formatting, Libre will take you through it all in double-quick time.
Day 2
Editorial Quotes
If you haven’t already secured this, it’s important to get some positive quotes from your Editor. They know the book really well by now so don’t be shy.
Ask them to underline the things they say with a quote and make sure you add their credentials to it. Needless to say, dropping the fact that someone who does or used to work for a big publisher enhances reader confidence.
Day 3
ISBN Numbers
These are the barcodes that codify your book.
Amazon will supply them for free for your eBook and Paperback but Amazon don’t do hardbacks. So if you are including a hardback, you will need to buy your own. If you prefer your ISBNs to be concurrent, buy three, one for each version.
You can buy these here.
Design
Day 4
Book Cover
You need to engage a professional Book Cover Designer, someone who knows how to match graphics and colours to your book’s genre and demographic. A good designer will read your book for starters to get an idea of all this. They will design your front and back covers and your book’s spine and get you quality high res images all ready to help create your book.
This is where some of the admin starts to pay off because your editorial quotes will go on your back cover. Your designer will add all the standard stuff and when people look at your book on shelf or screen, they will be drawn to check it out a little more closely. Your cover will be formatted for Amazon and all other distributors whether yours is an eBook, paperback or hardback.
Day 5
Internal Design
The design doesn’t stop at the cover. You need to present the same professionalism all the way through your book. Maybe you’d like your chapter title to carry through some of the cover design ideas. Maybe you’d like some closing pages to carry offers or advertising. This will all be handled for you by your designer. Some more of the early admin will pay off here again because your ISBN details will go into the first page.
It will take your Designer about a week to complete this task.
Collateral
Day 12
Blurb
So, you’ve got your beautiful new designs and you’ve got your Editorial Quotes. In this section, you’ll be getting together all the text you’ll be using throughout this process in its various forms. These will be used for flyers, web pages and other publishing and marketing material. Here, we’ll start with the BLURB, your book’s write-up.
A good Blurb should start with a strong hook, mention your book’s keywords in the first paragraph. Present the protagonist(s), present the conflict and the stakes, explain who the book is for (e.g. "If you're a fan of … or … you'll love this fast-paced psychological thriller”). Ask a question, or tease the reader about what happens next. Write it so it excites the reader, they’re intrigued. When you prep your book graphic to create your book, the blurb is normally on the back cover.
Day 14
Start and End Matter
This is all the stuff that accompanies your book’s text. Before chapter one starts, you’ll be adding your Copyright information, you’ll be adding a section on you, the Author. After your final chapter, you’ll be addressing the reader, thank them for reading it and asking them to review your book on Amazon. You’ll be mentioning forthcoming publications and of course, your Blurb will go on the back cover.
Day 16
Review Pitch
Here, you’ll be sending your manuscript to a list of reviewers and beta readers so that by the time it’s up and live on Amazon, they can post reviews and you can start getting stars and solid feedback. The sooner you start this process, the better. Here, we ‘re going to design that pitch material.
First of all, you need to design a flyer. Use your book designer’s graphics to create an image that carries the Blurb and any other details reviewers might find useful such as possible release date (so they can schedule their review).
Next, we’re going to design your email or post. Don’t be spamming these folks randomly. Each email request needs to be addressed to the specific reviewer you’re contacting. Look at people who’ve reviewed books in your genre on Amazon, Goodreads, Booksprout or Bookbub and many others.
See which books they’ve reviewed. Introduce who you are and that you’re releasing your title soon. mention that you’re contacting them because of their review of “book title” by “author” and they might enjoy your book as well.
Add your cut-down Blurb to the email body and offer them a free copy of your manuscript in exchange for an honest review. Tell them a little about your previous book releases or any future releases you’re planning and give them a brief Author Bio as well.
Maybe even mention your favourite read right now. List your ISBN Numbers, Publication Date (if known) and the book’s word count. Provide links to your website and any social media profiles you have and remember, you are not engaging a service, you are requesting a free review from folks who simply love to read.
Be nice and send it out to as many as you can at this pre-published stage.
Day 18
Amazon Data
When it comes time to publish your book on Amazon, you’ll need to be ready with the right Keywords and Categories and Amazon Ads Keywords. So let’s get this set in stone right now.
You can send your manuscript or synopsis off to a professional or you can check out what categories similar titles are using. You can list under two categories on Amazon initially but later, we’ll be showing you how to grow that to ten.
For Keywords and Amazon Ad Keywords, there’s a really useful little tool called KDP Rocket. This simple software will enable you to select the best keywords for your book based on popularity and other factors.
Day 19
Reviews (Again)
If you’re doing what you need to do on Reviews, you’ll be getting emails back from reviewers and sending them your manuscript. Establishing and maintaining your reviewer base will be an ongoing task. Don’t forget to keep a note with any reviews that start rolling in including the reviewer’s name. Add these reviews to your collateral file. They can go into the book when you produce it.
Production
Day 20
Book Files
Right. You’ve done a lot of hard work to get to this point. By now, you’ve got everything you need to create your eBook, Paperback and Hardback files.
Amazon KDP can create the eBook and Paperback files based on your manuscript but if you want to take full control of this process and include the hardback files, you’ll need to find your own software for this or even outsource the whole thing.
Personally, I use Vellum. It’s simple and versatile, and in not too much time at all, it will generate all the files you need to just upload to various online sites and publish your book.
Your eBook file will be called an .epub file and your paperback and hardback files will be .pdf files. Once you’ve pasted all the chapters and graphics and all the front and end matter into Vellum, just ask it to produce all your files and you are away.
Day 21
Audiobooks
Audiobooks are becoming really popular. We’ll cover this later on but just spare a thought for this. For now, though, you’re ready to publish.
Publishing
Day 22
Protection
Hold on there. Let’s make sure you’re protected from plagiarism and anyone pretending they wrote it first.
Register your work and all its artwork with the US Copyright Office at https://www.copyright.gov/registration/ or https://eco.copyright.gov.
You have all the files you need from the admin and collateral sections. This will cost about $55 and take a couple of hours to complete. They will post you your certification inside a few weeks but you are now protected.
Day 23
Publish to Amazon
For the first 30 days, you’ll get a preference position on Amazon. After that 30 days, you’re on your own.
So give yourself a fighting chance. List your book on Pre-release for a month or two and have reviews all ready to be added on release date. It’s also a good time to look at price promotions but we’ll tackle that later.
Log into your KDP account. Go to your Bookshelf and create a new publication. Add your blurb and upload your eBook, Print files and Artwork. You’ll be able to preview it, then set your categories, keywords and set your price.
If you chose KDP Select (you get more royalties), remember you can’t sell your book anywhere else.
Save your book and remember to log your book’s page URL. You’ll be using this link many times later.
Amazon usually takes about 3 days to confirm everything is OK with your formats and your book will now be on pre-order. Chase your reviewers and get some stars rolling in for the first customers that get in on release date.
Day 26
Amazon Profile
Your book has a profile on Amazon just as you do. You will need to complete a few sections: From the Author (your personal notes about the book); From the Back Cover (thank your readers, ask them to review it and mention any upcoming releases).
You’ll be able to add the editorial reviews you got as well and do this for all versions of your book. You can also make sure all versions are linked so readers have all the options.
Then go to Author Central and make sure your own details are up to date.
Day 27
Categories
Earlier on, you made a note of your ideal 10 categories so now contact Amazon and ask them to apply them. Go to “changing book details” and fill out the form.
You’ll need to tell them the Marketplace (US, UK etc) ; the Format, Title and
Amazon’s ASIN number. And of course, you will need to list the category strings you want.
This will take another few days but you’ll get a reply confirming it’s done.
Hardbacks.
Day 30
Hardbacks
As you know, Amazon doesn’t do Hardbacks but you can use someone else like Ingram. When an order comes into Amazon, Ingram will fulfill it.
Go through their process. It’s much like Amazon, wait a couple of days for your proofs, check and approve them. Ingram charges about $49 for this.
Selling
Day 33
Publicity
Develop a Press Release and Sell Sheet and find companies that specialise in getting the word out to news agencies.
Day 34
Advertising
Consider Amazon Ads to get your book seen by more people. Also, consider using Google Adwords for your site.
Start small and make sure your keywords work.
Day 35
Social Media
Start pages on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Linkedin and many more. Post to your social media platforms and seek out more reviewer pages (yes, the search for reviews will never stop).
Day 37
Price Promotions
As we discussed, the first 30 days on Amazon is key. During that time, it’s a good time to get a handle on Price promotion sites. Again, a professional can handle it all for you as it’s important you get your book accepted in an over-subscribed market.
But if you prefer to do it yourself, just search for some Book Price Promotion sites, see what they cost and note down your preferences.
You’ll drop your price to perhaps 99c or even free for 7 days or so but you will get exposure.
Day 39
Amazon (Again)
On KDP, you’ll go to your Bookshelf and click on “Advertise and Promote.” Choose the Kindle Countdown deal
Day 40
Website
Whether you go with Amazon or other retailers and Distributors, you will need an Author Website. This will be where people can go to find out more about you, comment on your books and chat. They should also be able to subscribe to updates about you and your work.
If you’re a web developer, you know what you’re doing tech-wise. Just make sure it’s all about personality. Readers love to hear about what inspired you, which real-world settings you used, any people they might know who you based your characters on.
If you’re not a web developer, it could take a very long time to do all of this so maybe you should get some help. A simple interactive site doesn’t need to be expensive.
Why not add 3d Mockups of all 3 versions and don’t forget to add you book sale links to your book page.
If you have the budget, get some SEO work done on your site as well, make sure it’s getting found.
Beyond the Map
And that’s that really. But there is a little more…
Beyond the Map.
Translation
If you wrote your book in English, 20% of the planet will be able to read it. Consider expanding it to more like 50-60% by having it translated into Spanish, Chinese and the like.
Video Promos
It’s always useful to have a promo video made of your book and create your own Youtube channel to host it. Explain the book but take the opportunity to introduce yourself and your marketing channels, perhaps in an interview. a good promo gets popular fast.
Podcasts
Another popular way to entertain and deliver your message. A Podcast can follow a similar line to the promo video.
Movies
You’re a published Author. Movie producers love “based on the novel by…” Why not let a few of them know your story or better still, have it adapted to Screenplay format and engage a proper pitch.
Finally...
Don’t forget to monitor sale rates, promotions and ads. Chop and change, see what works and what doesn’t.
And now, after 40 days of this, maybe you can get started on book 2.
Good luck.

Like Oh 2.0 - #BESTLEADERJBDAY
Previous Chapter: Happy New Year Word Count: 2,886 Summary: It’s JB’s birthday as well as a fan meeting in Taiwan! He invited Melanie and of course Melanie drags Serena along as she can’t go to these things alone.
Like Oh 2.0 masterlist
it’s here! jb’s birthday especially within the new year. um... just two more chapters and the story is complete. the relationship status of the couple is slightly a little more clearer as well. but yeah, um happy reading and kthxbai, Admin Lia~
"I still can't believe we're really here." Serena stated in awe as she and Melanie sat among fellow IGOT7s at GOT7's fan meeting held in Taipei, Taiwan at the Taiwan International Convention Center. "Of course." Melanie laughed. "For his birthday he wanted me here." "Well, you could've come by yourself." Serena deadpanned as she adjusted the ahgabong onto her other wrist. "You know I don't go to these things alone. Besides, I'm pretty sure your man wanted you here, too." Melanie teased as she elbowed her sister playfully. "Don't try to deny it since we're gonna go to LA on the the twenty-ninth." "Sure." Serena dismissed her sister as Melanie laughed.
~~~~~~~
The fan meeting was going well with many things already happening. The sisters found out that Jaebeom's parents were there as well and sitting among the other fans in the audience. Serena teased her sister by saying that Jaebeom probably wanted her to meet his parents, too, which made Melanie rolled her eyes at her sister's words. Still a heart thumped hard against her chest at the mere thought of it. Anyways, GOT7 opened with the Chinese version of Let Me and then Prove It afterwards. Then the group did their greetings and introductions while also speaking in Chinese for their fans and showcasing their language skills. Everyone greeted Jaebeom with a 'happy birthday' in Chinese when it was his turn. Jackson skipped over Mark so he would be last to say more words compare to the other members.
After that they then played charades with the fans before their next two stages of Boomx3 and Just right. Once both performances were done they went into their first talking ment with BamBam leading the crowd to do a wave of sorts. Later GOT7 answered post-its from the fans with majority of the questions being directed towards the leader due to his birthday. The other six were acting and singing cutely towards Jaebeom due to his birthday as they knew he couldn't deny them with Jackson going first, followed by Jinyoung, and then Yugyeom who grew embarrassed during the segment. Next was Youngjae being his typical cutie self and then by BamBam shoving a heart in Jaebeom's face. Finally Mark ended it with his cutesy self and later his high-pitched voice saying 'JB' made him stop from continuing.
Jaebeom thought it was over until Youngjae read a post-it where a fan wished Jaebeom a happy birthday, but wanted to see the leader's aegyo causing the older male to become fluster and everyone else cheering for Jaebeom to do it. Eventually giving in, Jaebeom did it after psyching himself up with the help of Jinyoung telling him to do it while facing towards a specific camera. Jackson's announced the next post-it note that he had chosen that wanted Jaebeom to do a sexy dance and Jaebeom pointed out that his mother was in the audience. However it just caused Jackson to egg the leader on even more as Jackson asked for the music to play and 'Prove It' came on. Jaebeom seemed embarrassed and shy, but nevertheless he went with it and his mother even signaled him with a heart above her head to encourage her son and even showing a thumbs up afterwards.
Following that act Mark's sticky note requested for Jaebeom to do the 'I'm So Sexy' dance, and the leader did it alongside Yugyeom by his side. Next was Jinyoung's note where he chose one that wanted Jaebbeom to sing and he did, but for not that long must to dismay of fans and even Melanie who wanted to hear more. Luckily, Jinyoung wasn't satisfied with it and Jaebeom sang a little longer and a bit louder where the fans even waved along to his singing. Some more things happened with Youngjae reading for Jaebeom to do another sexy dance while showcasing his English speaking skills as the fan had written in English. Later BamBam read another for the leader to dance to girl group songs. Jaebeom didn't want to do either, but with the members pestering him he once again gae in finally danced to Red Velvet's Dumb Dumb as the song had randomly come on.
Some more fun happened with Yugyeom picking out a note requesting for yaja time with BamBam and Yugyeom having lots of fun with this little segment much to the dismay of the older members. Luckily, that was the last bit for the sticky note board and they moved on with GOT7 performing two more songs which were Fly and If You Do next. Then came the special project from IGOT7s which was dedicated to Jaebeom for the idol's birthday where they had prepared a special video. Within the video also had Jaebeom's mom delivering him a heartwarming letter which caused Jaebeom to shed a few tears upon watching it. A moment later the birthday cake was presented while singing the happy birthday song before GOT7 ended the fan meeting with their title song, Hard Carry.
~~~~~~~
Melanie and Serena actually returned back to Taipei 101 Sparkle Hotel once the fan meeting was over to rest before heading home later the next day. As much as the sisters wanted to stay and hang out with the group, but they couldn't just walk up and have access to the backstage without having to explain this and that. In the end the sisters didn't bother with Melanie sending Jaebeom a text that they had left back to their hotel instead. Anyways, once the sisters were back at the hotel Melanie went to shower and Serena changed clothes before lying on her stomach to upload her fan-cams onto Instagram like she usually did after such an event.
Some time later Melanie got done showering while cleaning out her ears with q-tips as Serena was a third of the way of uploading her fan-cams onto her social media account. Both sisters were chilling on their respective beds as they re-lived the fan meeting experience like they always did. "I think you got some serious competition, Mel, because Jackson was seriously all over Jaebeom." Serena commented with a chuckle upon seeing one of the many moments of the two together as Melanie laughed in agreement. "I know right. He'll always be his number one fan." "Still though, I hated Jinyoung's hairstyle even though he looked handsome as always." Serena complained as Melanie shrugged indifferently. "That's just you." "Yeah, basically."
The duo continued to talk before becoming silent to do their own thing in comfort. Serena continued uploading one minute clips unto her Instagram with Melanie later changing into something more casual cozy instead of staying in her tank and shorts. Serena eyed her sister weirdly upon hearing Melanie moving around the room more than normal. "Um, where you going?" "Dunno yet. It's a secret." Melanie laughed not facing her sister while putting on light make-up. "You gonna meet up with your idol boyfriend who's now my ex-bias?" Serena cooed as Melanie cast her sister a playful look. "Maybe." "Then have fun and hope you guys get to eat cake or something if you do."
Serena went back to paying attention to her mobile device when a knock sounded from their hotel room's door a moment later. Melanie went to answer it while gathering her things and telling her sister that'll she back soon. Serena replied with an 'okay' and heard muffled talking, but she wasn't really paying attention as the door clicked shut afterwards. Serena was still lying on her stomach and uploading the last few videos on her Instagram when she felt one side of the bed dipped a second later. She turned her head to see what had caused it and was surprised to see Mark sitting there with a silly smile. Unconsciously, she scooted away from him while sitting up, placed her phone off to the side, and eyed him suspiciously. "Um, why are you here?"
Mark reached out to take a hold of Serena's hand. "I can't visit my favorite home girl?" Mark chuckled as he tugged her forward and Serena wasn't expecting him to do that and she lurched forward almost falling into his lap. "What are you trying to? You're not supposed to be here in my hotel room alone like this!" Serena panicked as she scrambled away from the male in her flustered state while Mark laughed. "Relax. I was messing with you." Serena stopped her fussing and glared at the idol. "Haha, not." She mockingly stated to him as Mark continued to smile wider at her behavior. "Go back to your hotel and hang out with your members, Mark." Serena told him as she began pushing him off the bed. "Some of us are trying to be regular fans here and upload fan-cams for others to see."
Mark stopped her by wrapping his arms around her once they were standing. "Why are you trying to kick me out when I just got here?" "Because I can." Serena reasoned as she unconsciously wrapped her arms around Mark. "Fine. You can stay. Is JB coming back with my sister though?" "No, Serena. He kidnapped her." Mark joked as Serena slightly hit him with her fist as Mark laughed in response. "You're not supposed to make jokes about Melanie like that." Serena scolded him. "Only I can make jokes like that about my sister." "Whatever you say, Serena. Now, let me see what videos you be uploading about me." Serena scoffed as she pulled herself away from Mark. "Excuse you, Mark, but I record everyone and not just one person." "Maybe you should change that?" "Nope. Not happening."
~~~~~~~
Jaebeom and Melanie wandered the streets of the Linjiang Night Market, also known as Tonghua Night Market, as it was close by to the hotel. This night market was more local and not many tourists frequented the spot so it was easy for the pair to walk freely hand-in-hand despite their get up as they scanned their surrounding. Although neither spoke Chinese they didn't let that deter them from having a good time with one another. Upon the beginning of the street Melanie spotted the fried steam buns stall and tugged Jaebeom towards the delicious smelling place. The duo were in luck as it wasn't that crowded and were able to order quickly. Luckily, Melanie learned enough Chinese to order food when she came with Serena last night when they explored the night market.
"I really love the dumplings and the buns." Melanie told Jaebeom as she ate between both items as Jaebeom laughed while eating the bun first. "This is really good." "Because it's steamed on top and fried at the bottom. That's why it's super delicious." Melanie informed him as the duo continued their walk when Melanie smelled something stinky, but knew what that could mean after finishing both of her dumpling and bun. "Let's get stinky tofu, Jaebeom." Melanie suggested as she pulled the idol towards the stall. "Do you really want to eat that, Chaewon?" Jaebeom asked after finishing his food as well. "I do. Unnie and I tried the deep fried one last night."
Jaebeom was hesitant due to the smell, but it turned out to be good in the end. "Okay, Chaewon, it wasn't that bad." Jaebeom admitted as Melanie grinned while eating her own. "Haha, I know right." The two continued on when Melanie spotted another familiar cart which was another stinky tofu one, but Jaebeom told her no. The duo continued on when they spotted Lou Rou Fan across from the second tofu cart. "Ooh, this one is super delicious as they have the fatty pork juices mixed in with the rice. We should order some meatball and daikon soup, too." Melanie said excitedly as Jaebeom laughed, but patted their hooked arms. "Whoa, Chaewon, calm down. We still have the rest of the stalls to check out." "Oh, haha, well, let's just tried the pork rice for now then."
Once done the couple moved on down a few more stalls where they enjoyed the different types of egg tarts at another stall. Jaebeom was disappointed that the seller didn't have just a strawberry flavored one, but Melanie had him try one with a matcha green tea crust. Another with a chocolate crust and even one filled with caramel filling to just bring up his mood from not having just a strawberry one. Before leaving, Melanie also purchased a black sesame flavored one and a mango cheese which Jaebeom told her she had weird tastes although he wanted to try the flavors himself and Melanie smirked at him.
Melanie and Jaebeom soon came upon a bubble milk tea shop where the male idol got his strawberry fix while Melanie got herself a pistachio and almond flavored one. They talked and finished their drinks before backtracking back to the hotel until Melanie remembered that there was one more place that they should visit as they made a left down Tonghua Street to stop by Gua Boa where they served their classic dish which was pork belly sliders. Of course they had other fillings, but Melanie ordered basic one which was the pork belly with pickled greens, parsley, and peanut sprinklings from the last time she had it with her sister. Jaebeom really enjoyed the sandwiches that he order another set for him and Melanie before leaving back to the hotel.
"So is this our second date?" Melanie asked the idol with a teasing smile as she and Jaebeom were close to the hotel. "Yes." Jaebeom smiled. "Yes it is. Thank you for coming all the way to Taipei for my birthday, Chaewon. I know you didn't have to, but I really appreciated it that you did." "You're very welcome, Jaebeom. I couldn't miss your birthday again now that it's a new year since Jyongri unnie and I celebrated the other boys last year." Melanie reasoned with a smile. "Besides, it was another excuse to attend your guys' fan meeting concerts." "So are you here because of me or because it's just GOT7 related?" Jaebeom asked with a serious tone as Melanie chuckled and planted a kiss on his cheek. "Both."
"Okay, fine. Still means that I'm part of GOT7, anyways." Jaebeom said as he pecked her on the lips quickly while Melanie shook her head with a smile as the two entered the hotel and were now outside Melanie's hotel room. "Thanks again, Chaewon. I'm sorry you couldn't meet my parents though." "It's okay, but I still think it's a little too early for that anyways, Jaebeom. Don't you think?" Melanie told him with a shy laugh as Jaebeom cupped her face lovingly. "I guess you're right, Chaewon, but one day for sure since I think y'all would get along." "I would hope so, but one day, Jaebeom, but not today." She agreed as the two shared one last kiss for the night. "Now, need to get Mark hyung and we'll get going." "Okay."
The duo entered the room and saw that the other pair were asleep within each others' arms. "This is so cute and funny." Melanie whispered as she brought out her phone and took a picture while Jaebeom looked at her confused. "Why is this cute and funny?" "Because unnie said she would feel bad for the guy she's with if she did these couple things and here she is doing it despite what she claimed she wouldn't do. So I got proof that she was bullshiting me this whole time." Melanie grinned while examining the photos she had just taken. "I don't know if I should be worry or not." Jaebeom chuckled as Melanie grinned at him. "Don't worry about it."
"Alright, I won't if you say so." He said as he rubbed his neck nervously while looking at the sleeping pair. "Um, should I wake up Mark hyung or should you wake up Jyongri noona?" "Oh, yeah, right. I forgot about that." Melanie remembered as she put her phone away. "I'll wake up her so she can wake up him." Melanie did just that and Serena stirred awake as she sleepily looked at her sister. "Back already?" "Yeah, but JB and Mark need to get going." "Okay." Serena turned to face Mark as she shook him awake. "Five more minutes." He groaned as he nuzzled his face closer to Serena causing her to laugh softly. "Sorry, but you need to get going."
Mark groaned, but got up as Jaebeom took a hold of his member to keep him steady. "Good night and take care." Serena bid them as Melanie walked the two out. "You're not gonna give me a goodbye kiss?" Mark pouted as Serena chuckled with a shake of her head. "No." Mark quickly rushed back to Serena and stole a kiss before running out of the hotel room with the other two laughing as Serena smiled at Mark's action. "Good night, Jaebeom." Melanie bid him a good night as Jaebeom did the same. "Good night, Chaewon. Thanks again." "You're welcome and I hope you had a good birthday." "I did, especially thanks to you. Sweet dreams and take care." "Same to you." The two share another small kiss before Jaebeom joined Mark at the elevators to return back to their own hotel and the other members.
Day 12 - More text to a god of text!
Day 12 09.09.2020 Wednesday
I went sleep around 0:30
I have a dream when everything is fading in the dark and I just walk to nowhere until I lay down and go to sleep, then I wake up.
I woke up in 6:54 or so
9:15 I think I just have PTSD and something with it ah and not autism... that's goo-.. wait...
I'm shaking...
9:38 I think I lived well... And I don't have PTSD, I'm actually fine, I'm just weird, and crazy, and stupid as people say...` When I'm trying to act like a normal human in fact I'm acting odd even more, so..
10:02 I will go to school almost right now, I feel bad. Did I notice that my mom screamed at me before she went to work? Now you know.
*notebook writings*
10:19  I'm in school I thought I were late
10:57 Phew... I just wrote test on biology lesson, I thought it would  be different, at least I hope I'll get a grade 4 or something. (we have a 5 grade system, ok?).
11:28 Ah... it's so hot here and it's just for me? it's because I'm nervous? but...
11:34 Ah... there is a noise that sounds like I'm in a hair salon.. I meant.. Why there is blank timestamps sometimes? I got distracted and then I forgot. It's odd, because I don't have ADHD. I can focus, so huh... it's weird because I can remember a lot,but...
I don't have PTSD because in fact dreams when I'm alone in places that I hate are nice, because everything is slightly different and there is no one there, so this place where I lived before actually gives me a good feeling somehow.. so.... AHA! I'm just a crazy weirdo because I don't have this ?? (it?) (her?) (I wasn't able to figure out what I wrote there). I have various symptoms, but there is always something that makes me confused.
Fun fact: because on the internet I seem normal when I'm trying to act like a "normal" human.. Ah.. I'm weird... interesting... HMM... What if I don't have a panic attack? what if this is just how I feel for always... I can't have PTSD because I have had some symptoms since I was a child.
12:10 Ah. Someone walked in class and asked for two girls and one boy from the teacher specially class. And ah I didn't know what is going on and why I should do they said Кирилл go to them, he said, well how about Artem (me), Whole class start to laugh like haha he is a girl (but I'm :d) (edit: I forgot to notice that I don't sure how it happened, but people start laughing like that, but how it happend, I don't sure) and a lot of transphobic things (and transphobic jokes) then someone said what about Боротов (I don't know his name... Yeah I still don't know their names)  that we have another boy in teacher class and the whole class starts to laugh even lougher. Кирилл said as a joke "Hey, you should go, you look more manly than us" (ah, lol, it's true). Everything was odd (feels like in fog, but...) , everything was bright and loud (too much sounds!), I had no Idea what was going on. Anyways I stayed in class (Also I had to explain. We have two classes that were splitted in one class so sometimes people call our class 11 "АУ" when normally there should be only one letter for an example 11 "А")
I wonder why people are so transphobic and homophobic because we (me and Кирилл) Immediadly claimed as gays (why?)... but hey gender is not orentation...
When something unplanned happens I really don't  like that , sometimes, when it's also according to me I just get lost in many things. Example: people tell me to choose something, but it's insanely hard for me. I will get lost and lose the ability to speak or just will not be able to answer this, or when people speak directly to me I can get lost and also can't speak. I'm not shy when it's happening so Idk what is this.
(Like people from internet thinks, (they think I'm just shy) it's happening even in my family, but slightly lighter (I don't sure tbh, maybe the same) ( other relative is 100% not lighter))
13:18 So booooring! I'm in school and idk what to do. I don't have a working smartphone. Hah, I don't saw this symptom anywhere so idk is this normal, but very often, randomly everything feel very fast like two times, but in fact It's more seems like If I have two times more frames per second, sometimes there  is some sort of a trail from moving objects and it's very often adding to that (fog? sensory overload? whatever is this?). It's not always come with that "fog" (Or maybe it comes, but with a lighter version, I don't sure), but very often, I really think that it's isn't normal. I have had this for my whole life and it doesn't get weaker but get more stronger (If compare to sounds and light and etc).
When I will be home... no I don't wanna check, I don't need a false diagnosis (self diagnose) anymore!
Also I still have no Idea what a diary should look like. I should write every step, everything I saw in detail or just continue like I'm doing now?
This day is more spontaneous and random and unplanned. I don't like it.
I'm acting like I can support conversation, but in fact I just talk about things that I know and when I run out of this I'll stop writing. Often it's happen after music stage and then that's it.. we can stop talking at all, I don't bad I just have no idea what to talk about and how to support dialogue, if before, after hello I can send random artist, song , or start tell new infom but now it will look more like:
?? - hi! ^^
Me - hi?
?? - how are you doing
Me - idk
?? - Oh..
or
Me - good morning
?? - good morning!^^
*the end*
and the day after we stopped talking for a week...
(there is rain outside.. ah...)
Very hard to do two things or more in the same moment (I wrote word moments so bad here! I'm shocked that I understand what is this)
I have no idea (btw it's 13:49) where to tell this, but My mom and her sister had race. Like my cousin learned to speak faster than me and learn how to read faster , and learn how to write faster, it's not  because of age difference, we have just around 2 months difference. And I was slower on up to 10 months (or more) (or 8+ months if  with right age). In someday it was like this: he can write and speak, but I barely can understand them (what people saying), I remember we drew something and mine thing 10 times worse and we wrote text there, but instead of text I had a bunch of zigzags and people laugh at me (I was very sad). Btw it's odd but I never had problems with moving and walking hah... My mom scream on my everyday because I can't learn anything I were crying. I Cried almost always and cried a lot until 2020 (I'm dead) (P.S don't worry I think it's going back). I always was too emotional (and it's too easy, ridiculously easy to make me cry or hurt me). Anyways I am learning things though I suffer, screaming and beating... It was very bad, at least I had less problems with mathematics. Also my dad packed his stuff so he can leave us anytime at all he made it a month ago with a huge scandal he even hit me, not hard, but also he hit my mom, she always have bruises from him... even now (I'm very rarely have bruises when my dad hit me, because he don't beat me like when I was very young) Btw I feel like always again (almost), I just don't need to think that this things are wrong and it's symptom of whatever, I need to stop to think like that because I'm dying, so I will slowly stop writing thoughts like this or just label them with "Is this normal? I don't know" with not actually finding answers to that question.
(???) -----
It's almost 14:45 and I'm going home soon
*end of notebook writings*
15:09 I'm home and ah... I think that sounds from that garage go louder and louder with every time I pass it by. You know... I also wear a warm jacket, because it's very cold for me while other people don't wear jackets at all. idk I think I have problems with temperatures, mainly with minus temperatures... Mainly with minus, because I can get sick very easily. It's warm... I just feel bad. Also the same thing in shower, warm is hot to me, so I need to use very hot water.. (I don't have to explain how I detected this... uhm) . Also for real it's  should called not fog because umm, it very far from that, I know people calling different thing with fog, so It's better to call "What the fuck is happening". And I will never talk about this ever again... .Yeah it's a OK GO reference. now I want to listen to them . _ . but first at all.. Lemon Demon!
15:27 Message in reddit from /u/RedditCareResources... again... hmm... nice...
15:45 aaaah come one, my internet can't do anything again, I can't even watch videos in 144p
19:21 my mom scream on my father on the telephone
19:44 it's hot again for some reason
20:31 I'm still doing my homework, just want to say that I didn't really speak to anyone today (On the internet).
23:57 I finished writing my diary for today! Did I notice that my mom started saying that I'm very bad again today? It's odd... like I have more time in school than at home... anyways I'm going to upload this to tumblr and google drive, brush my teeth and whatever then go to sleep…
0:04 It’s stupid!
Clive Owen Talks Gemini Man and Children of Men
Published on Oct 12, 2019
Clive Owen Talks Gemini Man and Children of Men With director Ang Lee’s Gemini Man now playing in theaters, I recently sat down with Clive Owen for an extended interview. He talked about how he got involved in the project, the challenges of filming in 3D and HFR, what it was like working with Will Smith and Ang Lee, how is working on Broadway and the West End different, and if it ever gets old when people bring up Children of Men. If you haven’t seen the trailers, the sci-fi thriller sees Will Smith as a retired assassin being hunted by a 23-year-old clone of himself. Smith plays both parts through the magic of modern technology and the film doesn’t shy away from the actor going head-to-head with his own doppelganger. Gemini Man is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and David Ellison and also stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Benedict Wong, and Douglas Hodge. Clive Owen: Does it ever get old when people bring up Children of Men? When did he first hear about Gemini Man? The high frame rate. What was it like on set filming in 3D and high frame rate? What was it like working opposite Will Smith? Was he ever nervous that they might not be able to do what was on the page? What is Ang Lee like on set and how does he compare to other filmmakers? How is working on Broadway and the West End different and similar? From Renard's World
Blogging Is Beautiful!
“Shannon, I would like your opinion on something,” Ashley said.
“Sure, Ashley. What it is exactly that you would like my opinion on?” Shannon asked.
“Well, I know that you are a blogger and I have been thinking about getting into blogging myself. I would like to know which blogging platform to use?” Ashley asked.
“Oh, it doesn’t really matter,” Shannon said.
“Huh?” Ashley blurted out loudly; she donned the facial expression of a woman who was confused.
“It doesn’t really matter, because it is all about publishing quality content,” Shannon said in a very confident tone of voice.
“But, if my memory serves me correctly, I believe that you have a blog on WordPress, right?” Ashley uttered.
“Yes, Ashley. You are right. I do have a WordPress blog,” Shannon said.
“Well, in that case, I am going to go with WordPress,” Ashley said.
“Good choice, Ashley,” Shannon said. “So, have you made up your mind as to what your blog is going to be about?”
“Yes, Shannon,” Ashley said with a wide grin on her face. “It is going to be based on book reviews!”
Both women laughed.
Shannon got up from the chair that she was sitting on and said, “Please follow me, Ashley. I am taking you to my computer room right down the hall.”
Ashley looked at a few of the beautiful paintings that hung majestically on Shannon’s white-coloured wall while she followed her friend, Shannon to the computer room.
Shannon opened the door for her friend, Ashley and said, “After you,” stating politely that she would like Ashley to be the first one to enter the computer room.
Ashley nodded and entered Shannon’s computer room. “Wow! This is amazing!” Ashley said looking at the three high-end computers in their respective workstations.
“Pick anyone,” Shannon said. “The computer to the right-hand side of the room is an Apple iMac with the latest macOS, the computer in the middle of the room is a Dell desktop computer with the latest version of Windows on it and to the left-hand side of the room, there is a HP desktop computer with Linux; it has the latest version of Linux Mint installed on it.”
“I will go with the HP desktop with the latest version of Linux Mint on it,” Ashley said.
“What?” Shannon said; she was pleasantly surprised by Ashley’s choice of computer and operating system. “We have been friends since kindergarten times and you never once mentioned to me that you use Linux.”
Ashley laughed and said, “Well, that is because you never asked. I started using Linux about three years ago. I have Linux installed on my computer at home — Ubuntu to be precise, and I chose to use Linux Mint, because it is based on Ubuntu.”
Shannon showed her friend, Ashley, how to set up a free blog on WordPress and she even went as far as helping her choose a lovely-looking theme for her blog.
“Thank you, Shannon,” Ashley said. “I will add a blog post to my new blog as soon as I find a new book to review.”
“You are welcome, Ashley,” Shannon said with a happy-looking facial expression on her face. “I have a strong feeling that you are going to be a very good book blogger and you are going to see for yourself how wonderful blogging really is!”
Ashley got up from the workstation and said, “Thanks for everything, Shannon. I will send you a text message as soon as I publish my first book review on my blog.”
“Good! I will be looking out for that text message, Ashley!” Shannon said.
You Are Free To Do Your Own Thing
Yes, my friend. You are free to do your own thing. If you want, you can even do like Ashley and create a blog that is based on book reviews.
Here are some of the things that people have been posting on their blogs:
Fashion
Blogging     advice
Spirituality
Philosophy
Science
Animals
Food
Music
Okay, you do get the general idea of the things that you can post on your blog.
However, I would like to inform you, that if the content of your blog is in violation of your blogging platform’s Terms of Service, your blog will be deleted — you will no longer have access to your blog (You can avoid that nightmare by going self-hosted).
You Are Free To Choose Any Blogging Platform
Shannon was correct when she told her friend, Ashley that it did not matter where she blogged and that the most important thing is to publish quality content.
The God’s/Goddess’ truth is, that your blog is going to do well once there is high-quality content on it. It does not matter if you are blogging on Weebly, Blogger or WordPress.
But, I would like to state for the record, that nothing really beats WordPress in the area of SEO — WordPress themes were created with SEO in mind.
However, having a blog on Blogger provides the person with the advantage of having their blog posts being indexed quickly by Google (After all, Blogger is owned by Google).
I had to wait a little under three weeks for Google to index the blog posts on my WordPress blog (I should consider myself lucky, because the folks at Automattic said that it takes approximately four to six weeks before Google starts indexing new WordPress blogs).
Anyway, one of my favourite features is, the WordPress.com Reader; it allows the bloggers on their platform to easily locate the topics that they are interested in by typing in the topic of their choice in the “Tags” section.
Unfortunately, the “Next Blog” button does not always direct the users of Blogger to the types of blogs that the are interested in (When I was a Blogger, it took me over an hour to come across a blog that I was interested in via the “Next Blog” button and it directed me to a large percentage of abandoned blogs).
One of the best ways of finding like-minded bloggers is, to join a handful of blogging groups on social media (And, blogging groups usually do not care if your blog is on Weebly, Blogger or WordPress; all they care about is, that you follow the rules and that you share content that is of a high quality)
Interacting With Other Bloggers Is A Lot Of Fun
I do get a huge thrill out of interacting with my fellow bloggers.
Now, in addition to interacting with my fellow bloggers on WordPress, I do interact with other bloggers on Weebly, Blogger and TypePad.
I know for a fact, that a lot of bloggers on WordPress would not even dream of visiting blogs on other blogging platforms.
Tumblr media
However, some of them would check out the blogs from their friends on Blogger (Mainly because, they themselves were once bloggers on Blogger).
Also, it is nice to see people from Blogger commenting on WordPress blogs.
To me, blogging is way more fun when I interact with other bloggers in the blogosphere.
Do you ever make it a priority of yours to interact with other bloggers in the blogosphere?
The Learning Never Stops
If you have been blogging for quite a while, you would know without a doubt, that the learning never stops.
Bloggers have learned the following things:
How to go     about writing a blog post.
How to     implement On-Page and Off-Page SEO in regards to their blogs.
How to     implement HTML and CSS codes to their blogs.
What are     the types of blog posts that their audience prefers.
How to go     about promoting their blogs on social media.
Blogging really involves more than publishing a blog post.
Thankfully, there are blogging experts who share this type of information freely online (So, you can learn them at your own pace)
Blogging Is Simpler Than Vlogging
Now, this might appear somewhat controversial since vlogging requires talking to one’s audience by being in front of a camera.
Some people will think, “Well, vlogging is easy. All I have to do is to talk in front of a camera and upload my content on YouTube.”
Vlogging requires way more work because of the following reasons:
You will     need to invest your money in a very good camera if you want to produce 4K     (Ultra-HD) videos.
You will     need to invest your money in getting yourself a very good microphone.
You will     need to invest your money in getting yourself a very good video editing     software.
You will     need to invest your money in getting a powerful computer — a high-end     computer with lots of RAM and computing power to finish the editing     process in record-breaking time.
Vlogging is actually more difficult than it looks.
Thankfully, blogging can be easily accomplished on the worst of computers and on the best of computers.
And, a person can also use their smartphone or their tablet computer to blog.
In my case, I am a bit camera-shy; so blogging is the ideal medium for me (Which is probably the reason why I made blogging easy for myself).
What about you? Do you think that blogging is easier than vlogging? Or is it the other way around for you?
There Are Countless Blogging Themes To Choose From
Another nice thing about blogging is, that you get to choose a beautiful-looking blogging theme for your blog; it can range from clean-looking to extravagant-looking (It is up to the blogger to choose which one they want).
When I was on Blogger, I used to upload a new theme to my blog approximately every six months (One of the perks of being on Blogger is, that you can upload your own theme if you do not like the ones that are readily available on Blogger).
Unfortunately, some of the blogging themes that I used back then were not all that SEO-friendly.
I have noticed that there are less free blogging themes to choose from on WordPress (especially for those people who are on the free plan); you will have to upgrade to the “Premium” plan or the “Business” plan in order to gain access to an unlimited amount of WordPress’ premium themes.
Back in 2012, there were more blogging themes to choose from on the free plan of WordPress. I remembered spending an entire hour looking at blogging themes; I wanted to choose the right one for my blog at the time (Oh well, those were the good old days of my first WordPress blog).
Over the years, I have learned that the most important thing is, having high-quality content on my blog.
Now, I am in no way insinuating that a beautiful-looking blogging theme is not important.
If you have high-quality content on your blog in addition to having a beautiful-looking blogging theme, then all is well with you.
But, it makes no sense at all to have mediocre content on your blog and have it all decorated with a beautiful looking blogging theme.
But, the most important thing is, that you are happy with your chosen blogging theme.
WordPress bloggers are lucky in the sense that the new themes that are available to them are both mobile-friendly and SEO-friendly.
There Is Money To Be Made In Blogging
Bloggers have been making money with their blogs for years (It is not a new concept).
You can make money blogging by doing the following things:
Tumblr media
By     monetising your blog.
By getting     paid to write reviews.
By selling     eBooks on your WordPress blog.
By becoming     a blogging coach.
By     creating an Amazon shop on WordPress.
By     starting your very own consulting business on WordPress.
By selling     online courses.
Those are merely some of the ways that WordPress bloggers can bring in the additional income.
Please keep in mind, that some bloggers make way more money than others and that there are bloggers who actually struggle to make a decent living off of blogging.
Getting rich via blogging is not a guarantee (And, if anyone tries to tell you otherwise, they are trying to mislead you).
Final Thoughts
So, my friend, you have learned some of the reasons why I think that blogging is beautiful.
Do you think that blogging is beautiful?
If your answer is, “Yes,” I would love to read all about it in the comments thread of my blog.
And, if your answer is, “No,” I would still love to read about it in the comments thread of my blog.
Thank you for checking out, Renard’s World and I do look forward to seeing you once again around my personal space in the blogosphere.
