Summary: Reader is a detective and is assigned to a murder case which she soon connects with previous killings and figures out the religious affiliation, proving there is a new serial killer within the city. Reader soon becomes obsessed with the killers mind and methods and won’t rest until she figures out who the killer is. All while she gets used to working with her new partner on the case, detective Noah Davis.

MASTERLIST

A coffee was sat down in front of you on your desk causing your eyes to go up to see Detective Davis in front of you.

“You look like you need this”

You smiled, mumbled a quick thanks and took a small slip while taking your eyes back to the gruesome scenes before you.

“You know, you can take a break detective, it won’t kill you”

“No but it could kill someone else”

Noah smirked and pulled out the chair in front of your desk.

“Come on. 15 minutes”

You stared into his dark brown eyes and sighed while slumping back into your chair.

“Fine. 15 minutes and then back to it, we can’t afford to waste a single second”

You pushed the photos and various papers away and held your coffee in your hands. You looked over at your new partner, it had been two days since you’d been assigned with each other, so far you had been working together well. You’d brought him up to speed on every last detail of all the killings and had started to put together a profile of the killer, that was proving to be more difficult.

“So detective Davis….”

“Noah, call me Noah please”

“Noah….what brought you to LA?”

Noah took a slip of his coffee and leant forward onto your desk.

“It’s the city of angels right? Who doesn’t want to come here”

You couldn’t help but giggle at the irony of his statement.

“Found any angels yet detective?”

Noah smirked slightly and never let his gaze fall from yours.

“Maybe”

You cleared your throat and took another sip of your drink, you looked over your new partner, taking in his many tattoos, it was refreshing to see a detective as covered as he appeared to be, you could see colour peaking out from his white shirt collar and on the back of his hands and fingers. You wondered how far they went over his body.

“Let’s keep it professional” a statement meant for both you, Noah definitely wasn’t shy to flirt with you, even if it was subtle. Something you wouldn’t allow yourself to be distracted by.

Noah chuckled, still not removing his eyes from yours - he certainly wasn’t afraid to hold eye contact you noted, something that proved he was very self aware and confident.

You couldn’t help but psychoanalyse Noah, he was very hard to read, he’d come across friendly enough while you’d been working together but he was definitely a closed book. Something that you wanted to break through.

“Ironically I doubt you’ll find any angels here Noah, fallen angels maybe, but this city isn’t known for its innocent.”

“Well it’s probably more exciting then where I’m from back home”

“What made you move then?” You couldn’t help but press the question again.

“Most of my family have passed away and I fancied a change, see what exciting prospects the city offered me”

“Well exciting is one word for this I suppose”

“I live for a challenge detective”

You finished your coffee and smiled.

“Then I’m happy to say that this case should be that for you”

You pushed your mug to the side and pulled back the case files you’d already spent hours and hours going over.

Noah leant forward and picked up a file.

“You know, I’m really impressed that you figured this out, that they were all connected, I doubt anyone would have seen that”

You felt your cheeks go warm.

“Thank you…someone would have seen it if it wasn’t me however”

“After how many more deaths though? To have seen it this early, that’s raw talent detective, don’t sell yourself short”

You smiled and brushed some of your hair behind your ear, the blush still evident on your face when Noah continued.

“Are you religious at all detective?”

“No. Never been one for fairytales myself”

Noah smiled “ahh but sometimes they make for great bedtime stories”

“I believe in the here and now, what I can see and hear and piece together. I don’t have time for bedtime stories detective Davis”

Noah let out a small laugh “I understand that. My family were religious but I never took to it, as you said, I believe in what I can see, hear, smell….touch. Somethings I don’t think god would approve of”

Your eyes went up to his again catching his underline meaning and you couldn’t help but smile yourself.

“I’m sure we have all done things that god wouldn’t like, we are in LA for a start”

You were both startled by your phone going off.

“Detective Y/L/N”

The smile was pulled off your face as you looked at Noah.

“We’ll be right there” you put the phone back on the hook. “There’s been another murder”

Chapter 3

The only thing I want to know is where is the second half of the Vox and Alastor photo?

Does it make any sense for Vox to keep the part with Alastor and remove the one with himself?

Usually the trope of the torn picture is when you keep the part with yourself and tore away the person you don’t like anymore…

But no, Vox has the part with Alastor. And what is more surprising, it is in a pretty good condition, not rumpled, not stained… Like it was kept in the frame… because the photo without the frame will become damaged in 7+ years…

So the question is, does Alastor have the other half? Does he keep it in the frame as well? Or in the pocket close to his heart?

oh I got my cloak today :) it’s a fairly nice material and it hangs well but the clasps are utter shit. I might see if I can find recreations of the actual costume’s clasps, since it’s based off of my surcoat from the black gate.. if not, I’ll just try to replace them with a set of nicer metal ones

By the way, @staff is changing the video player and photo viewer on the mobile app to the one from Tumblr TV. As a result, they have made the abhorrent decision to remove an important accessibility feature in order to TikTok-ifying Tumblr. You can no longer zoom in on photos. Or so I thought. Because the visually impaired are now second-class users to the Tumblr Staff, they just decided to make it harder to zoom in on photos.

So, for all of you who, like me, find the pinch-to-zoom feature on Tumblr invaluable to read and view photos, you now have to:

Tap the Photo > Tap the “more” button in the description > tap the photo again

This will open the old photo viewer (for now, anyway) which was formerly one tap away. It will grant you all the former features of the old photo viewer, including the ability to zoom in.

EDIT: if you’re seeing this on your For You Dash or some other non-reblogged method you will see this edit. Before reblogging and commenting on this, there is addition information in the replies. LUCIFER

This demon likes sticking to rules

Running on hallways? Detention

Eating during class? Detention

Not paying attention to class? Detention

No one is safe...

The cafeteria if filled with loud noises, your voice shouting profanities to another demon specifically.

Everyone listening to the argument feels like they're stomach is about to burst out of nervousness because "What if Lucifer randomly comes in and put all of us is detention because we just stood by and didn't do anything to stop the fight?!"

And he did.

But what surprised them is that he didn't shout or anything, he just stood there for a few second and scanned the crowd looking for one of his brothers.

Spotted Mammon and came close to him before whispering something among themselves.

And then he just stood there

Doing nothing

As if it's just fucking okay to let a human, the exchange student at that, to scream and curse a demon because he won't cooperate into this project.

And when the demon started cursing back at you, the rules are suddenly so strict as if cussing will cause the end of the 8 rings of hell.

The demon is sent to detention, removed from the group, suspended, and many more.

And who knows? Maybe you pulled just a few strings to have that demon expelled.

But what the citizens sure know is that they never saw anyone again after talking to MC like that.

MAMMON

It was cute

Mammon would do anything for you, no matter how big or small it is.

One day, Mammon was spotted running around the halls of RAD.

Looking like he's getting chased by Lucifer, again.

But surprisingly, he's not.

He's just running around the school fetching your fan, notebooks, bag, pens, water or some snacks.

One time, you two were put in a group for this project and were talking about it with your other group mates.

Then you hit him with a "Mammon, I left my notebook on my desk in the potions class, can you fetch it for me?"

With just a blink of an eye, Mammon who was leaning on your shoulder just a few minutes ago is gone.

And with another blink of an eye he's there again with your notebook on his hands then he's back to leaning on your shoulder again as if he didn't just go to the other side of the school for a notebook.

LEVIATHAN

He's introverted

He won't go out his room if it's just for some lame party

I also headcanons for him to be the most unseen brother

Yeah, he won't go out if it's just some small, lame party but if Diavolo hosts it, what exactly can he do?

So they got the hint on how to make Levi attend gatherings, either have Diavolo host it or invite MC too.

He's angry

But not angry enough to yell when MC is around

Man's can go from 👹 to ☺️ real quick as soon as he felt MC's prescense

He doesn't know why too, but whenever he yell while you're around he thinks he'll fall out of favor

"WELL MAYBE IF YOU'RE SO PERFECT THEN WHY DON'T YOU GO AROUND WHILE YOU HAVE YOUR HEAD FAR UP YOUR ASS- Oh, Hi MC? How are you?"

He'll talk so sweet in front you and then when you turn around you can see some veins popping out of his neck and forehead.

And if he can't really handle it and went berserk in your prescense another scary yet amazing thing you can is to put your hand on his body.

Shoulder, head, neck, wrist, arm, wherever it is.

Just pat him or link your arms with him and he will start to calm down.

ASMODEUS

People headcanon him to like it when you're obsessed with him but I think he's more obsessed to you.

Like he's down bad

You can do anything and he'll literally fawn all over it

"Look at the way they run their hands through their hair!"

"Look at how they work!"

"The way they hold that fork is so graceful~"

Literally, you're the only person that comes to his mind when someone said pretty

Except for himself of course

But I swear, whenever someone caught him staring at you the atmosphere gets so thick

You don't even know why but the atmosphere is heavy and the air suddenly smells so sweet

And those heart in his eyes, the way his pupils dilate

Yeah, you have this man worshipping you alongside himself

BEELZEBUB

Other than the fact that he's actually willing to share his food with you

He's willing to help you in any physical works

Like lifting up things, carrying your stuffs and sometimes even running errands for you

I mean, he actually doesn't do it a lot because Lucifer actually asks Mammon for this stuff because the things Lucifer needs to be done is a little...

And he doesn't want to taint Beel's innocence.

So now since you're already a part of the student council when Lucifer needs to have something important finished but it requires physical work.

You and Beel will be partnered

And he doesn't have anything against it either

He likes it so much when you command him to do something actually

I mean, he's tall and buff but Lucifer won't ask him to do anything that includes hard labor except taking care of Belphegor

So you actually helping him make use of all those muscles made him feel a tinge of happiness

He feels like he's actually of use :)

This little brat

He would kill for you and he means it

He's not scared to spill blood on broad daylight as long as it's for you
