Abandoned Wip tag game.

Wanted to do a little something. So artists and writers, look for an abandoned Wip and show the class where you left off. (Being cropping or full piece for art) And maybe explain what went wrong/why it’s been abandoned.

So for me. This thing.

I do tend to mess around while drawing but jokes aside I was just out of practice and couldn’t get things to look right. I was struggling with composition and angles and it made me go “Yeah I need to go back to doing some studies”. And I’m also bad at organizing things. I end up drawing multiple things on a single file (different layers) so that doesn’t help my case. Hands are also a nightmare.

On the bright side I have gotten better with hair ig? I have definitely gotten better at drawing that mask (and the armor) thanks to concept art of Lü Bu I found that broke it down better than in game screenshots.

But oh well, here’s the full thing.

again like, I cannot promise Bor'Dor isn't more than he appears to be (though what he appears to be is incredibly interesting, far more so than theories) but the nitpicking about how Utkarsh is playing is like...very ignorant of what he's seeing.

Here's a screenshot of my character sheet in D&D Beyond (L4 wizard):

As you can see, scalable spells (Magic Missile) also appear under higher level slots - it is pretty intuitive to say "ok, I want to do the BIGGEST THING POSSIBLE", go to your highest spell slot, and see Lightning Bolt.

On the other hand, this is the cantrip section:

"At Will", with no "Cast" button, could in fact be confusing!

Like...Utkarsh played a battle class (rogue) six years ago, and quite possibly hasn't played since. D&D Beyond's setup makes it easier to realize you can upcast, but doesn't clearly define what a cantrip is - or he could be just asking for clarification to be absolutely sure. If there is any evidence in-game that arises for something more sinister at hand I'll talk about it but like, everything is very consistent with what a player with hazy memories of 5e who has never played a spellcaster might experience.

i dont feel like i explained it very well. tim drake is essentially not a character i would willingly choose to like or read about or write about. i cant escape the instinct to love him. i find him insufferable. i cant help but enjoy him. i like what he becomes when i write him. i want to see him squirm under a microscope. most fic writers do him a huge disservice by not leaning into his messiness. the idea that he’s some beautiful little twink is absurd. i love him by proxy of dick and jason and damian and cass. he grates my nerves and i am obsessed with that feeling. i wanna strangle him. i cant help but adore him. dick grayson loves him, how can i not? i wish jason and damian would break his arm.

I'm once again asking myself it reading ACOTAR for Nesta (+ the valks) is worth it at the end. When probably all 3 of my girls will end up with jerks.

I mean, we are for sure not supposed to see any of this as negative. That was supposed to be a cute moment, we’re obviously supposed to love Nessian as it is, and I’m not even sure Azriel is supposed to come off as unlikeable in the e/riel part of the BC. Azriel isn’t saying anything about Nessian because… as far as we know, none of that is supposed to be a problem.

I think Gwynriel will be normal lol. I have to believe that because I cannot imagine how even SJM could take such an innocent character and put her in a relationship with a whole weirdo.
