Thank you for opening my eyes! Damian has been one of my favorite characters for over a year, but I didn't read/watch much of him because of school, life (and probably an executive dysfunction in the mix).

I haven't had time to catch up with all the new snapshot videos yet apart from X's, but the Warden pottery shard being called Mourner has been rolling around in my head ever since I heard about it, bc of how fundamentally it changes the context of the Warden and the ancient cities, at least for me.

Ancient cities were introduced to us as dangerous places, where we had to sneak around and be quiet so we didn't awaken the city's guardians, mobs that we should not fight, but run away from instead, because they could kill us instantly. Minecraft is now a horror game, we all said, even though it never stopped being that to begin with.

And to now have that same mob called Mourner? That brings in so many feelings. So much compassion. Someone seeing the Warden's grief and allowing it to feel it, to be felt by it. Maybe the carpets all around ancient cities are for that, placed out of compassion, not because they were scared of the Warden, but to be kind to them. To give them the space and the silence they needed to grieve.

There's something so deeply touching in that. They aren't just mindless beasts, they have emotions and a mind of their own. The Warden loved something/someone so much it has grieved for its loss ever since. And that just gives me so many feelings.

And the new structure, too, with the buried houses? God, that's so much. it's SO Much. I'm going to seek out so many of them. And the fact that they remind me so much of Sanctuary houses also is a big kick in the feels man. All that mud brick, coloured terracotta, and glazed terracotta? God. The feels are strong today frfr.

do u think that um. yk Julian was having a rough time in the later seasons. and ofc he wants to talk abt it, wants someone to help him process it, wants someone to just listen. but it's not easy to talk abt. and he wants to talk to Garak, wants Garak to know what's going on in his life, wants to be vulnerable and be met with support and care. but Garak is so emotionally unavailable and so unwilling to break his pleasant facade and so unwilling to deviate from their little social script. he was taught never to show care or vulnerability. and Julian gets so tired of playing their little game when, god, there's a war going on, his life is falling apart, can't Garak even acknowledge how bad things are for both of them? he doesn't need witty retorts, he needs sincerity. and Garak can't give him that. so he withdraws from their friendship. and it's not that Garak doesn't care. it's not that he doesn't want to help. but sincerity and vulnerability were beaten out of him a long time ago, and he doesn't know how to take off his mask. even just acknowledging genuine emotion is practically impossible for him. and maybe that's why ASIT is the apology that it is. it's saying, here, I've learned to be honest, I've learned to be vulnerable. I know the harm I caused you by refusing to acknowledge pain, so here's a whole book of me acknowledging pain.

my favorite thing ever is when supernatural creatures just love stiles ❤️ like oh yeah. there’s a family of pixies in some random forest in california who ADORES stiles and practically wants to adopt him. yup there’s the yeti who’s practically in love with stiles and is willing to do anything for him. oh! there’s the mermaid who would literally pay to be a human for a day just to spend time with stiles. and there’s the old vampire who is always gifting stiles antique knickknacks and practically has stiles in his will (“vampires have wills!?”) wherein he’ll inherit his entire dracula mansion and possessions from like the 1600s. i just crave supernatural creatures who just adore stiles ❤️ little silly stiles ❤️ derek is so so torn whether or not he should be jealous or be happy because that’s his stile
