i genuinely do not care if the time jump between season 7 finale and season 8 premiere is like 6 months or a year or ten years or that bucktommy will have been dating for centuries in 8x04 or whatever. i dont care about in-show time, i care about the time i had them on screen and i will be pissed af if they move in together that early

just full force threw a shoe at my sister's face and when my mum got me alone after she was like 'you shouldn't clobber her. but i get it' 😭

#it kicked off today but in my defence she's actually proper in the wrong this time even my DAD called her a bitch and my mum is FUMING #baso my sister came into my work with her mate when i was closing the other day and all the staff GLARED at them bc of aforementioned #close so i was being v chill so everyone 1) knew it was my sister and not some customer coming in late and 2) her friend wouldnt be uncomfy #like that's the real kicker her i was being extra laid back FOR her friend so he'd feel more at ease. and one thing about me is yes ive #said countless times i have a rural accent but my mum also raised me to know when and how to speak nice if need be bc people are cunts here #so when im waitressing i speak nicely bc it's a stuck up restaurant w stuck up customers but when im with my sister? making a point of #being laid back? my normal accent came through. and her mate when i was gone said i sounded 'really [from the county we live in]'#which WOULD NOT BE A COMPLIMENT. it's baso saying 'your sister sounds local and chavy' without using such explosive words #and my sister LET HIM SAY IT. english (and almost every other european language tbh) has always been fucking weird to me because why the fuck would you need gender-specific names to like, body scent. why not just call them the same thing. what exactly is the difference between a perfume and a cologne?? or like, niece and nephew? i mean why go out of your way to invent two words that mean the same thing but one is only for men and the other is only for women? when they're quite literally the same thing???

#i remember back in 2020 i had met this nonbinary italian kid on an anime group chat #and they were fucking appaled when i told them we didn't have gender-specific pronouns in turkish #they were like what do you call people then?? and i explained we use the one syllable 'o' for any gender #they had joked then that they wished they lived here instead (or in another world where a not so transphobic Turkey existed i gusss)#but i remember thinking. we understand each other just fine without the pronouns. so why did anyone ever feel the need to invent them?#and in a further note in turkish we dont even use sister and brother. we just call each other siblings #sometimes when you really need to specify it you just say girl siblings or boy sibling. but we dont have actual words for them #as you can probably figure from the post we also dont have seperate names for niece and nephew or perfume and cologne #we do have different names for aunt and uncle though i'll give you that #but that's probably because turkish goes way too much in detail when it comes to terms of familial connection #on another note i just remember something else that fucking pisses me off in english #MISS AND MRS #like who tf thought yeah we need different terms for those #what was the thought process that went into that #in all seriousness though it feels like the western mysogony runs so deep that its affiliated the language in a fundamental level #thoughts #i talk #language #learning languages
