I don't think people really stop and think about how absolutely massive Jiang Cheng's sacrifice for Wei Wuxian truly was. Lotus Pier was in ruins, his parents dead, he was what, 17 years old??? He's gone through massive trauma, and he blamed Wei Wuxian for the attack out of misguided anger and grief, yet he stepped out in that crucial moment.

He is the sole heir of the Jiang sect. He plans to get revenge, there's a war brewing, he has his sister to protect and take care of, along with the people of Yunmeng, that are now ruled by the ruthless Wen.

And yet he doesn't hesitate- he doesn't fucking hesitate to let himself be captured in order to save Wei Wuxian. He was beaten half to death. He lost his golden core. He had no way of knowing that would be fixed, he thought he would probably be killed.

And more importantly? What I will never get over?

He never mentioned it to Wei Wuxian. Not even when Wei Wuxian left; he didn't use it to persuade Wei Wuxian to stay with him, he didn't throw it in his face, he never breathed a word of it.

The most devastating part of both Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng's sacrifices is that neither of them ever told each other.

Even more devastating is that Jiang Cheng has to live with the knowledge of what his brother gave up for him. Wei Wuxian, blissfully, doesn't.

since i don’t see anyone talk about this, i’m taking matters into my own hands

jean and renee are soulmates (if you disagree fight me) renee saw jean in the crowd and knew that he was something special even if he was a raven. she kept him sane while he was suffering alone in the nest. she saved him when no one else cared enough too. she pieced him back together as much as she could but it wasn’t enough. jean could only heal so much in south carolina, he was too close to his past, to the nest, to kevin and neil. renee and jean WANTED each other but it isn’t what jean NEEDED.

jean doesn’t just need one kind person, he needs a village. that becomes apparent when he goes to usc. it isn’t just jeremy who’s helping jean heal, it’s cat and laila and cody and all the other trojans are slowly coming around and helping him heal. the foxes simply could not give jean that kind of support, they all have their own issues, but they can’t be the rock that jean needs in his life.

renee and jean are perfect for each other, but because of the circumstances of their own separate lives and journeys, they just can’t work together. and that is absolutely tragic.

They’d look so good. Katelyn in this dress and Aaron in this suit, they’re such a power couple if we’re being completely honest with ourselves. Katelyn kisses him first in excitement, but once he catches his balance Aaron sweeps off his crown and kisses her as she deserves to be kissed (lots of smiles and little laughs and very sweetly)
