A subtle way you can tell lestat is very selfish and ignorant about race, especially in ep 6 is that he said that they'd go to Argentina, a country which at the time was explicitly looking for white Europeans (including n*zis) to move there after spending decades pushing their black and Indigenous populations to the fringes of society to whiten up the country

As a trans guy who does want to have kids by way of pregnancy in the future, thank you for being normal about the idea. It's bothered me for years how the fandom gets all up-in-arms about somebody daring to portray a trans character getting pregnant (or getting someone pregnant). We're not a monolith and some of us do actually want to do that at some point, and there's nothing wrong/gross/bad about that. It's just a normal life event that some people experience!!!

you’re very welcome anon!! that’s exactly why i think it’s important to push back against this- while i know it’s coming from a place of wanting to be respectful, this behavior can actually be deeply hurtful to other trans people. there’s nuance and condemning the conversation about it entirely does more harm than good, especially with the state of reproductive rights today. we SHOULD be normalizing trans parents, not shoving them aside as “problematic representation” in fiction

#not to make it abt fandom drama but a part of me is now kinda curious if the backlash has anything to do with… a certain animator #who had a few aus abt trans ppl having kids. and one of them didnt sit well with me #and they got outed as a creep and their opinions were held as inherently bigoted and corrupt #so now anyone who does something even remotely similar like having transfem tigerheart rewrites or trans pregnancy #must be on the same level of ‘’creepy’’ as they were #even tho aside from the one that rubbed the wrong way- the other au i saw looked just fine and wasnt even exclusive to that person #this is all conjecture i cant really verify this but the fandoms always been weirder abt lgbt stuff than theyd like to admit #so it wouldnt shock me #mail #anonymous
