in april 2022 , i drew a fanmade book cover for the danganronpa x reader fic Sleep Awake . in december of 2023 i redesigned my reader for that story for the third time and thought it appropriate to redraw that old cover with their new design . and yesterday , january 13th 2024 , i finished that bitch . View the fruits of my labour .

in my last Notes section i talked about nerfing the lighting . well um . i nerfed it again . i dont know if it was fate or if i just . idk . didnt want to but i axed both original concepts - the yellow overhead light ( mostly) , and the light blue under light - and just Winged the fuck outta it . that ' mostly ' means that the light source is Still overhead but i just took the colour out to make it more neutral .

another thing i brought up were the shelves and how i wanted to add more items to them . I did it this time , but not to the extent that i really wanted to . i'd hoped for more Clutter and ultimately couldnt think of anymore than a few items . SAID ITEMS BEING !!!!

the pills . self explanatory , since they haunted the majority of cases 2 and 3 .

chess pieces . cute little reference to the chess scene ! even if the scene itself didnt feature real chess pieces , the imagery wouldnt work if i didnt use real pieces .

the letter opener . dont need to explain this one . but i Did originally plan to have it in shin's hand ( explaining why that one is balled like that , because there was originally a Thing in there ) but i couldnt figure out how to draw it and make it look Good . i only added it back when i was colouring the trinkets on the shelves and realised that i Forgot to put it back into the drawing .

LITTLE DETAILS I THINK YOU SHOULD LOOK AT .

THE HANDS !!!!!!!!! i decided at the very last second to make them vaguely see through . and theyre all a persons ! amami and shinguji are the obvious ones , but the two holding at the top are supposed to be ouma ( on the scarf ) and akamatsu ( on the rope ) . i would have included tojo's as well but i couldnt fit it in the composition without it looking awkward and out of place and i thought there were already enough references to case 3 as is .

and you literally cant even see it but if you look REALLY closely at oumas hand . his skin is a little grey and you can see the veins through the skin . wonder what happened there . Guess we'll never know !

THE BOOKS !! did the same thing as last time with a Little More . purple books are ouma , green are both amami and tojo , blue is both kiibo and chabashira , pink is akamatsu , and red is phys themselves . i know phys's canonical colour association is olive green but consider : shin is red . look at him . hes Red . that ones for me specifically .

with that . i did all of those books by hand . i drew about 9 variations of books and copy pasted them sure but i Shaded and Coloured them all individually . youll never guess how fucking LONG that took . so yeah . no one book has the exact same shading . goodie !

THE JOKER !!! yes i know i talked about it in the previous section but i WILL talk about the card itself . because i unironically am so in love with how that drawing came out . the little guy featured there is my Lies of P oc scaramouche or scaramuccia ( i use them interchangeably ) . hes a silly jester :3 . the depiction on the card is of him in his prime , before . All Of That Happened . story-wise he's a super famous circus performer known as " The One Man Show " because all of his acts are done alone and are absolutely insane . hes very good at what he does which is Why he doesnt have a crew . and the only reason hes so good is because he't not even human , just pretending to be !

additionally , i originally planned for that joker card to be a Real Life Joker . because a little known fun fact about me is that i collect playing card decks ! but i looked and literally NONE of the ones i currently own would have fit the piece . so . yeah . i just ended up drawing darling scaramuccia . heres the full image im so chuffed

this is flameweaver, he was the son of a skywing queen who sought out and had babies w an animus nightwing in order to have a cool animus son to raise in secret and protect her from attacks from her daughters. he is found and the queen is confronted about it so she kicks him out (actually she orders her guards to kill him but tomato tomahto) in order to keep better political standing ((OLD ART BTW.))

he flees to the rainforest where he kidnaps a rainwing he catches spying on him, drumroll pleeeease

GECKOOOOoooooo son of the rainwing queen cuz they both had to be princes i guess. at first flame kidnaps gecko because he was afraid hed turn him into the skywings, then he kept gecko around because he thought his scale camouflage and venom could be useful. but the two actually end up making great friends (until things go bad but ill spare you the longass infodump lmao)

i want to talk about two more guys that i made more recently but have less to say about (and no coloured art of one of them)

geode the icewing and swift the skywing! the story takes place before the skywings were killing their animus babies, swift is one and uses his power to make funny little living wooden dolls. this horrifies geode, the icewings have more knowledge of animus magic and have already been making gifts for generations so seeing a dragon just use his power willy-nilly is mortifying

shocked that i have no art of swifts little wooden dolls. theyre super cute i promise lmao

i wont post all three of my lotr trilogies since the others are pretty boring but i wanted to share which edition was my first reading. they were my dad's copies (or i guess my aunt's since she let him read them then never took them back) and he hated these books but hung on to them for some reason. i LOVE the silly illustration of the fellowship walking. they look so cute. and what in gods name is legolas wearing! amazing! i also love the branches around the title. i stole this picture and my copy of rotk is more faded to kind of a baby blue. i love the colours as well theyre so pretty. this is probably my favourite edition i've seen but i am biased

- these three sillies hang out in the saloon every friday evening to just chill with each other and to take a break off of work! every once in a while they decide to play billiards together, and it usually ends with a funny commotion being caused. brians really good at billiards, and is pretty lucky when it comes to it, so he usually ends up giving everyone at the table a reaally smug look once he wins. tim on the other hand, not too great, not very lucky, and has to end up facing brians cheeky smirk when he loses. lastly jay is pretty decent when it comes to billiards! is a little lucky as well, but definitely wouldnt be able to beat bri on a regular basis.

- in cindersap forest bram ever so often goes on little picnic dates by the pond there when the weather is good. if the three of them are in an exploration sorta mood, they usually end up going into the secret woods as well and look at the weird little statue there

- since brian is a blacksmith, he likes to make gifts for the other two! stuff like jewellery, little trinkets, or even weapons sometimes. its cute i think. because imagine brian going up to them being like "i made gifts for both of you :-)" and jay and tim are just expecting it to be some cool matching jewellery but then bri walks back in with two daggers like "look, i made the sheaths look pretty and theyre your favourite colours :D i also carved our names into the hilts!! do you guys like them?"

- adding onto the gift thing, he would totally forge engagement rings for tim and jay and i just think its really Cute. he spends months in the mine looking for the right ores and precious stones to use, and ends up spending more time in his shop than usual making sure hes getting everything just right; trying his best to keep what hes doing a secret from the other two so that itll be a big surprise!! (except. they already know. because bri tends to talk in his sleep a lot and they find it sooo endearing)

- and since the two of them already know what hes up to, they decide to be teases about it. they pop into his shop "by surprise" while hes working on the rings, both of them watching him scramble to hide what hes doing. or once they start looking more ring shaped they tease him by being like "ooh what are you working on? are those rings? who in the town ordered those? :-)" and they just both think that this entire thing is adorable

- but like seriously. the idea of brian making their rings literally turns my heart to mush. going through various levels of the mine to find certain gems and stones. fighting through the ghosts, bats, slimes, etc. before finding what he needed. continuing to keep it all a "secret" until he was finished with the rings and could finally set up this long awaited proposal. sorry for being a huge romance lover but they mean the worrlld to me

- and if he doesnt forge rings and instead gets mermaid pendants. it would all be so funny just to see the three of them meeting up together, one of them proposes, and the other two are like "wait wait waaiit WAIT i had mermaid pendants to give you guys as well?? oh my gosh"

this is a scav! They are the 2nd smartist creatures (not inculding robot people ofc. and humans.) They are in groups most times. like lizards you have a rep for them starts at 0 (for most..."people" they dont really like. cancer.) for others, they start higher as they since your a kid. And for one character they will send hitmen out to you. Each one have randomly generated looks and traits. They are. NOT. dumb. as they can do what you do. throw your weapons and items back at you

They will make drawings-graffiit on places to lead to they're merchants that will trade with you For what? i dunno do items nect lol.

i have to say I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the atmosphere & layouts of the merchant & treasure rooms!!!! Genuinely so much beautiful & gorgeous detail put into it, i love all the patterns & markings covering the walls/room in general!! &nd the lighting they used makes it look even more prettier than if it had none!! Lovely lovely

Theres so much personality & so much more emotion put into these guys oh my gosh i love how silly & colourful they can look…. heart hearts <33💛💕 these guys are going up HIGHHH on my favourite creatures within RW list. all the small details from how: if you have rep in the negatives, they will back away from you, and only warn you off with spears when in a group. to even the teeniest tinniest things like how their eyes will WIDEN & the screen will SHAKE when threatening you!!!!! ohmylord yeah i. yeah i have to say i REALLT REALLY like these fellas…. i will find out the items they will trade another time…. But i do really enjoy how these guys are like. Kinda the FACE of trading in rw. I follow an account that posts scavs from IDs they have, and especially since these guys are randomly generated, ive REALLY seen how these guys can range from funky, to weepy, to really odd, to cute & pretty, to borderline “you arent even able to see whats going on” LOL I REALLY LOVE THAT FACTOR THEY HAVE ABOUT EM!!!!

if i could come back as a rw creature these guys are high up on that list.. currently… i would heavily enjoy having large all-knowing eyes that simultaneously have nothing going on inside, and horns on my head and trade & paw at dirt all day long but… i will consider my options & we will see as we go on…. !!!

anyways, previously ive made jokes about characters having vendettas again hunter before, but nevermind actually whoever the OTHER red slug (“made to kill scavs”) ACTUALLY has a vendetta against them. not even a joke this time man how BAD of a thing did you have to do that an ENTIRE RACE will send HITMEN out for you at a moments notice. today i watched the first five episodes of cbs ghosts and as an avid enjoyer of bbc ghosts i decided to share my thoughts and comparisons!

so here are my thoughts… (its kinda long so beware)

Things I Liked:

-My favourite characters are Isaac and Thorfinn, because Isaac is a silly gay soldier man (can you tell i love the captain) and thorfinn is THE icon.

-My favourite parts of the episodes are when they move away from the original bbc ghosts plot and create something of their own- it makes it more enjoyable and interesting as someone who has watched each episode of ghosts so many times ive lost count.

-The characters bounce off each other quite well, there were moments, like when pete and trevor hugged each other after pushing over the pot and i was like haha nice. 👍 they feel like a group

-the show is americanised and i like that about it, it feels very different from the rest of the shows i watch (im british) so its kind of a breath of fresh air in that way

-

Things i Didnt Like (sorry :(

-The run time (20 mins) means the story is very compacted and, compared to the original, the plot is the same but feels more rushed.

-They sometimes try to have emotional moments??? but i dont feel anything. in the first episode they have one just after samantha goes to hospital and i was sat there like Ok???? It didnt have an impact bc i had only known them for 15 minutes.

—Trevors character….. i think if i saw him without watching bbc ghosts i would have felt better about him. hes a combination of julian and thomas, and he feels washed out because he has both their major traits (slutty politician + liking alison/sam) but toned down.)

Instead of a poet waxing romance and almost innocently adoring her (like thomas) he is a weird politican guy who kinda hits on her sometimes (calling her hot, wondering if they were flirting). i still think hes entertaining, i like him but when he makes comments sometimes i want to scream like someone please make this man stop. hes like julian if he had 0% slut, looked like thomas, and hit on alison.

—some ghosts i dont really see??? like sasappis and that high girl (idek her name😭) i barely see, and the greaser guy with his head chopped off ive seen twice??? they probably get more screentime later but damn where these ghosts at. i want to know more

—cbs ghosts doesnt leave any suspense to what most died of. they flat out state most of them. it leaves the suspense that came with bbc ghosts completely gone. you cant make theories bc they hand it to you on a silver platter and dont make you wait.

—jay and samathas relationship makes me want to commit a crime (in a bad way!!). jay is the worst. they were arguing in teh first three episodes. Jay didnt want to move into the house. theyre not a united front at all! hes kinda fighting with sam and mentioned multiple times about her “cute butt” which personally made me want to scream again. and they just dont have couple vibes

when they try to have moments, it’s stilted. compared to alison and mike who you can see together and who you are endeared to from the first episode, they DONT compare.

Alison sometimes borrows mikes coat in the show, and i dont get that kind of comfortable loving vibe from sam and jay. its not happening for me.

anyway sam should just divorce jay and run the bnb by herself, send post

— OKAY there was this moment where trevor raises his arms and the rest of the ghosts cringe and look away bc of his crotch. Then theres a shot where trevors crotch isnt covered by a pot or another object, its blurred out in pixels. anyway i hated it so much pls make it disappear from existence im begging

-the colour palettes are kinda jarring, its not really that cohesive

Conclusion:

I do like it and i will keep watching it for Isaac, but mostly i still think bbc ghosts is the better option so far and if you are thinking about which to watch first, you should watch the original bbc ghosts.

im gonna keep watching and I really hope this show comes into its own.

BUT saying that, im probably biased because im super attached to bbc ghosts, so go check it out for yourself! i am a simple person on the internet and you’d probably be better forming your own opinion.

i’ll probably post my complete opinion on it if i ever finish it. so. yeah.

Also, I would like to know more about what's going on in the Bloody Bouquet au. All I know there is that there are flowers coming out of Martin's mouth. Is there a reason for that?

You are right that those aus don't have a lot of content on their own and thats because they need a little rewrite. Theyre made for me and im a little ashamed of them not gonna lie 😅

BUT, yeah i can tell you more :D

-Paradise! Its just Chris and Martin having silly adventures! You know like exploring the jungle or the sea, or living life in college, or having a peaceful life in the suburbs, or even flying in space or playing inside their favorite games! Nothing to worry about! Yeah maybe their memory is not great, they swear they already visited this jungle before, or that they already graduated why are they still in school? But that's just a weird thing of them hehe.

Now, what is exactly going on? Its all Zach's fault. You know how he has devices capable of controlling animals to do his bidding? Well he focused more on that and managed to create a device that could trap the human mind. Its not perfect, it needs maintenance from time to time, but it works.

Getting Chris first and using him to lure Martin next, he managed to take them out of the way,

trapping them in separated paradises, managing to create one for his own.

-WonderlanD! For as long as people have traveled the seas, a mysterious island has been the center of many tales, full of colourful plants and unique animals never seen in another place. Few are the ones who had found it and made it back alive, for the island of Wonders is not what it seems. The island moves. It never appears in the same place twice. Because of this, many shipwrecks paint its shore.

The Kratts receive an anonymous message. "There's an island in this coordinates. It's full of new species, you will like it." None of them knew about the myths and stories around it. Naively, they went.

At the arrival they could already see all these new beings flocking around them. Friendly, fluffy, delicious fruits to eat and cute little animals begging to be pet. Truly a Wonder.

They decide to stay and explore. The plants growing taller the further they entered the island, barely letting the sun pass through. The bros called the rest of the crew to go deeper with them, as they found something to eat before sleeping. They only left the shore for a short time but when they got back, somehow, their entire ship fell from the island into the sea.

They had noway to leave. No comunication. Nothing but what the island could give. And so they use it. They eat its fruit, they drank its ponds. Days and days of this. Soon, their bodies started to feel weird...

aaaand thats all i have for now, still need to fix some details. But dont worry, they'll be fine :3c

and last, Bloody Bouquet! Yes there is a reason for the flowers, its called hanahaki disease :D! Flowers grow inside you when you have unrequited or one-sided love. In this case, Martin has fallen in love with Zach but he's oh so scared of confessing :( so he hides his feelings and the flowers until he can't anymore. After finding out (and getting over the shock), Chris decides to help him confess, hopping Martin gets rid of the flowers and they can go back to their normal lives.

There's a little detail both of them don't know. In this AU, the flowers hold meanings. They can recognize the dark red carnations and its meaning loud and clear: Love and affection.

But there's another one they can't seem to find, the purple petals arent enough and so they don't give it much importance. If only they knew, (blood warning)

the qg stuff looks awesome! silly idea: maybe tubbo’s main fusion partner is fred, who’s a homeworld white quartz or smthn? i fucking love slime and baghs being main fusion partners theyre so silly fonduo is love fonduo is life! i love wilbur being human guy who adopted tallulah cause he found her in a kindergarten :3 maybe juanaflippa is a blue spot jasper? theyre used to balance spiritual energy which would be fitting for her, keeping slime and mariana together LMAO just my stupid ideas tho!!

yeeeaah slime and baghera’s friendship is everything to me and i was like if she’s gonna have a main fusion at all it’s gonna be with him. they can fuse to do karaoke [or BY doing karaoke together]

and yeah that’s a good idea for fred and tubbo!! he could also be a blue gem because of his uniform but i think all the fed workers being plain white quartz could be a fun idea, because it’s VERY common [like, i have some that i’ve just found on the ground. fully formed crystals and everything] so it goes with the faceless drones vibe

blue spot jasper is cute :] i was thinking it’d make the most sense for at least most of the eggs to be either jasper or quartz because of the earth gems we’ve seen in thiiink that’s what most of them were? i mean there’s amethyst obviously, iirc jasper was born on earth, i think the corrupted gem that jasper fused with was Also a jasper. and blue spot jasper works for the colours i use in flippa’s outfit :D

Just finished another kirby game, you know what time it is :)

Squeak Squad!! Which seems to be universally disliked.. but i dont think its that bad!

Level design is amazing I had a lot of fun with all of the worlds, there wasnt really a world i particularly didnt like. Also its very cute that you can change kirby's colour i love that. The bubble gimmick is... strange?? But also very neat! Kind of gets you to think about what abilities and items you might need later in a level, whilst also making you make space for the chests. I really liked the regular encounters with the squeaks for the silver chests it was really fun to see how fast you could get away from them.

Bosses.... Dedede was.. painfully easy. Some enemies get a short hurt animation where they stay completely still for a second, so if you have something fast hitting like fire then you can just.. keep them in place. The rest of the bosses though! Although frustrating at first, really good! They were very challenging (most likely because of how float the controls are and how limited the move pool is but thats me) and took me multiple tries to beat. I ended up cheesing most of them with twister in the end.

The story is about as strong as mass attacks story, maybe a little better. Why does dedede have a demonic entity hidden in a chest in his castle? No clue but yknow. Absolutely loved the Squeak Squad themself they feel like a found family. Dark nebula.... silly guy... its a shame they have such a good boss track because their fight was incredibly underwhelming. Dark Daroach was much harder for me than like... whats meant to be the final FINAL boss

Incredibly easy to 100% was expecting to need to do the arena but... no? If you have all the chests theyre like congrats!! You did everything!! Felt like a bit of a cheap 100% compared to other kirby games

I dont think its a bad game really, just not the best in the series. You can beat it in 3 hours if you really wanted to and the characters are honestly quite charming. I wish there was some dialogue from the Squeaks but yknow how kirby games are with dialogue (nonexistent for majority of the game)

I honestly quite enjoyed it even though the boss was very underwhelming. Id give Squeak Squad a... mmmm... 6/10

Music is very nice aswell (squeaks theme is amazing) just not a whole lot of bangers compared to previous games

It honestly seems like the reason the spin offs have such weak story is because they were given to other companies to develop with flagship working on this one (atleast i think thats how it works)

Strongest stories seem to come straight from HAL themselves who see kirby more than just oh!!! A silly little guy!! He eat an sleep...

ok hi since two people run this blog we'll both answer with different colours for each of our responses. actually we'll go ahead and do that for all the posts.

naty x camila are my favs i love them with all my heart. i just love my ships silly and usually angst free and their plots are so stupid and silly i love them a lot. like mhmmm that 'ABBA' scene where they sing encender nuestra luz is sooo the stupids.... and then the rock bones plot augh theyre just super cute idk

for the other telenovelas idk. i have a lot of noncanon sl ships i like but theres not one i would call my 'fav' maybe ambar x emilia. and then for bia its probably chiara x celeste

for me I'd say ramiro x matteo is my fav non-canon ship because the concept of them together is so dumb yet I feel like they could have such a complex story when you really think about it. They're just the definition of right person, wrong time disney really fumbled with that one.

for violetta my favs would probably be luty and dieleon and for bia I haven't really thought about it too much honestly I think a rewatch is in store.
