- Bebo’s voice provider
oh thank you for letting me know !! i absolutely do not mind posting about unknown synths; ive got some with like literally zero covers, or with no wiki nor db entries, so ill gladly post about bebo !
#not bday#ask#i also dont mind people just requesting i post about their own synths#i feel like it might be difficult to get a new utau or other self made synth off the grounf at all#and get even mildly popular#in recent years#????#im not sure though#i just feel like the popular ones have been pretty well estabished#i know Kurukuru Suuzis utaus are more recent but still popular#their most recent being released in like 2020#but even with them#their most popular ones are the oldest#like obviously i get why this is and im not complaining about it or smthing#i just mean more like that i wouldnt see it as weird or selfish or self centered or anything for smone to ask me to post about#thier own synth#because of this ?? like it could be an opportunity to get more eyes on your own synth#which takes a lot of work and time and effort to make#i know this is kind of completely unrelated to the ask but whaterv alsdkasjl#im just rambling atp#but like yea i feel like its totally fine to ask for some free promo from me lmasdnsakdal#i made this account because i was taken aback by how anime bday accs didnt seem to post any synths but miku#which like makes sense i guess#but it just gave me the idea to post other birthdays myself#particularily how it could maybe bring some attention to lesser knwon synths#so i think asking me to post random ass self made synths is fine and actually encouraged#sorry this got so off topic but whatver !!!!!#thank yee for the ask and for informing me about the silly bebo !

Today’s compilation:
Rising High Techno Injection 2 1993 Trance / Techno / Rave / Ambient Techno / IDM
Got this excellent sampler of tunes from the London-based Rising High Records here that was put out by its New York-based sister label, Instinct Records, in 1993. An awesome slice of mostly spellbinding trance tracks that lean heavily on wondrous, string-filled atmospheres, with a couple great ambient techno/IDM offerings from The Black Dog too, before they'd land on Warp Records and put out their acclaimed Spanners LP in 1994. Also, how can you not love this vaporwavy, fluorescent, pink-fucshia-purple-yellow-green album art? It's fantastic!
Anyway, hard to pick out just a couple tunes to really highlight from this, but Rising High Collective's 1991 song, "Fever Called Love," is probably the most mainstream club-friendly tune on here. It could probably be best described as a trance record, but it doesn't sound like the trance that we'd come to know over the ensuing decade. That's because before we'd even collectively agreed on a word to describe trance music and its repetitive synth lines and melodies that wound up fleshing themselves out into their own definitive genre, those synth lines were getting applied to other types of dance music instead. And "Fever Called Love" is one of those songs that represents a mishmash of a bunch of different things that were lighting up the UK's post-acid house dancefloors back in '91; it's got a female house vocal, a techno backbeat, some of those lovely rich keyboard stabs that were huge in the early 90s, breakbeats, and it also has those repetitive trancey synth lines. It's a tune from a very interesting and experimental time for dance music, before a bunch of its different strains would wind up somewhat segregating themselves from each other and go on to develop their own dedicated subcultures.
But by the time 1993 had rolled around, trance had literally found its name, and so a good portion of this album consists of straight-up early 90s trance gems. This type of stuff still often got lumped in with techno at the time, and much of it sounded like techno because of its high tempos and foundational four-on-the-floor kick drums, but the basic structurings of trance tracks—from their backbeats to their drawn-out progressive build-ups and eventual swellings in intensity—can still be heard within them. Friends, Lovers & Family's big and epic, intense adventure of "Doppelganger" is chock full of unpredictable twists and turns, and the duo of Sequential, which consisted of German ambient god Pete Namlook (RIP) and the much lesser known Christian Thier, basically lays one of those divinely stringy and emotive ambient soundscapes that Namlook was known for creating over a contemporary trance beat. A pretty breathtaking piece of music there.
People really seem to sleep on a lot of this early 90s trance stuff, but a lot of these artifacts are actually fucking brilliant. Not only were they trailblazing, but they still bang to this very day because of how nicely they're layered. And if you love string synths in your dance music like I do, you'll probably really enjoy a lot of this particular slate of tunes 😊.
Highlights:
Rising High Collective - "Fever Called Love" Black Dog - "Flux (Balil & Arno)" Bi-Face - "137 Ambience" Friends, Lovers & Family - "Doppelganger" Black Dog - "Otaku (Atypic)" Sequential - "Prophet"

Hi there! I saw ur reblog of that oc ask post and am here to stare intently at you until I hear about your favorite little fellas(this is a joke btw dont feel nervous, I am not really staring at you) Also! Nice head banner, I take it a fan of fallout? So am i! I did notice in ur tags that it would be cool to drop some info about my own ocs and what do you know! I got some fallout buddies too(I'm assuming you have fallout ocs but I got no idea so pls tell if I'm right or not here lol)
If you'll like to hear, ive got about 7 or so fallout ocs? I've got One ghoul who I named vith, Shes my 76 vault dellwer who after roughly a year out in the wastes got unlucky and had a bomb drop on her head while doing her monthly shopping trip to white springs. Then I got my 101 vautie naned minx! She was a somewhat bratty daddy's girl and nearly died while trying to find her dad. While on deaths door this... Thing/eldritch horror manges to convice her to let it in and they're do the hard work of finding her dad for her. She agrees and the smoggy radiation filled thing claws inside her and takes over. Minx as she was fades to the background and the Thing slowly learns how to be human.
Next up is my complicated family Trio of "solo" survivors. First of which is Six! She ended up accidentally released 10 years earlier than the normal Fallout 4 time frame and instead of heading down into sanctuary and fulfilling the main quest line she turned tails and runs away. She eventually find her finds her way all the way over to New Vegas picks up at a courier job and get shot in the head. Six as she now goes by cant remember anything of her life before that bullet and after finishing up everything under sun she can in Vegas, Six tracks down her trail back to where she came. Took nearly 5 damn years but she arrives back to the Commonwealth but just in time to meet my other two solo survivors! Which are Kiin, angry and grieving mother and thier old lady neighbor Aaz whos a wanna be baseball player. Never got to play professionally and instead became a carpenter. Mostly pretty chill. On the flip is Kiin who is FULL throttle and ends up doing some awful shit before finally snapping out of her blinding anger with the decision to have to replace high confessor tektus. While in disbelief at first she became a believer in atom over the course of infiltrating the nucleus
And now lastly but not least in the slightest are my two synth courser characters, Lo10 and KO01. I havent touched Lo in so long damn, anyway both gals are trans women and exs. Both hate each other's guts, well lo does. K's doesnt care beyoud that fact Lo got away instead of staying dead which cant stand if her plans are to go smoothly. Lo wears her heart on her sleeve and was quick to join the railroad after managing to Escape. I need to work on her more. And now finally onto K, she is like one of if not my favorite oc out of all of my guys. She gets elected to become a prototype NextGen synth that is made to act as a "wasteland hero" and bc the Institutes goals are so skewed she takes it upon herself to infiltrate different groups across the Commonwealth and a little bit beyond and take them down from the inside. normally ending in fiery explosions. In the timeline in which K is the only player character runing around her story ends with the destruction of major group above ground the Minutemen the Brotherhood the entirety of far Harbor and many settlements that kind of grew to be pretty big. She took them down with a smile and a knife to their backs. Upon returning home her Quest finally fulfilled The Institute attempts to deactivate her. The key word being attempt there, turns out when they recoded K to become their next generation wasteland hero they messed up a little and one, forgot to make is so she could sleep and two add in a deactivation code whoopies~. Anyway that leads K to locking down the Institute and killing everyone inside before leaving to carry her trail of destruction to the wider Wasteland.. For my major timeline with all if my guys in it her full story is unclear but she would 100% end up taking up the role of the main villan. Would have acted a follower to Kiin for a time and helped her while in far harbour and then destroy the town after gaining it's trust. Only after Kiin had left of course.
And uh thats about it. Hope you liked hearing about my gals, I could ramble on and on about them. Now having shared my fellas could I hear a bit about yours?
hello & WHOA !!! thank you for telling me abt ur fallout ocs !!! Vith sounds very cool just bc I haven't played much of FO76 & the idea of one of the 76 dwellers eventually turning into a ghoul is awesome!
im a huge fallout fan as well & have a few ocs bouncing around on my blog, though my main ones are my canon divergent sole survivor georgia, my courier six temperance/em, & my lone wanderer florence/flora! i'd go into more detail but im on my lunch break rn & don't have a lot of time, but all their tags + tags for other ocs can be found here :) i talk about georgia the most tho bc she became very important to me very fast lol

This is gonna be grim but
How the companions think they’ll die!
Tw- hints at Suicide.
Cait- Bit off more then she could chew.
She wants it to be, at the very least, a fair fight with a worthy opponent. She doesn’t want to die from a gun shot wound but she knows this world. It’s not fair.
Curie- ‘Old Age’
This won’t be for awhile, she’s to new to her snyth body to even entertain the idea of death. That is by her own means of course. Gunners and raider still exist.
(Pre BB) Danse- defending the Brotherhood.
In truth, he rather die defending the Prydwen or the Elder much rather then dying on some recon mission. More honorable but still.
(Post BB) Danse- ‘Old Age’
He may not age but he knows that he’ll come to a point in his life where he’s just done with everything ya’know? He’s lived life to its fullest what more could he want?
Deacon- He’s not actual sure.
He’s done so much in his life that alot of things could kill him. Between his lying and just in herbal commonwealth shebang, he can’t say for sure.
Gage- Being backstabbed.
The raider life ain’t exactly all that easy, a lot of betrayal and backstabbing goes on admits raider gangs. Won’t be surprised if he falls asleep one night and never wakes up again.
Hancock- flip flops between OverDosing or going feral.
Going feral if joking around with friends, O.Ding if he’s being serious. Nether are pretty but he wants to go out with a bang, preferable with chems.
MacCready- with a pocket full of caps and on his farmstead.
Refuses to think anything could kill him after what he’s dealt with, from the capital wasteland to the commonwealth. He’s survived this god dammit, he’ll keep going!
Nick- Dug a little bit to deep into a case.
He’s quick but he’s old, he knows that. Ain’t as quick as he use to be so he won’t be surprised if one day he finds himself with a bullet logged into his noggin.
Piper- Pissed off the wrong person.
Wrote the ‘Truth’ and pissed off the wrong person. But hey! It’ll get tons of reads! ‘Local journalists found dead! Killed for saying the truth?’
Preston- Defending the Minutemen.
Ideally, old age but he doesn’t mind the idea of going down in the name of the Minutemen.
X6- when the institute has no use for him anymore.
He knows he’s just an asset to them, once he’s outlived his usefulness he’s more then accepting of his fate.
Lil(not lil) side note- Some are super predictable like Preston, X6, and Danse are soldiers who are dedicated to thier factions, ofc they would wanna go in the name of them. Piper has literally stated that there have been countless attempts on her life simple because of the things she wrote.
But others aren’t so easy. I had to go off of what I remember from their dialogue or actions and even some outside sources(not from companions). I’m not Dima, I don’t have some place to off load my memories nor do I have the immortality of a synth so I don’t have the time to comb threw all thier dialogue and look for clues hinting at how they’ll go.
At the end of the day, they’re all immortal unless you destroy thier faction of go lose to much affinity with them so not like this matters lol.

OK, so anyone who's seen my blog recently will realise I've hyperfixated on fallout 4. So here is a breakdown of my oc snipe.
(Pics of them at the bottom)
So, like nick and dima they are also a prototype synth. They were made shortly after both of them left as the institute decided to just skip ahead a little and start on the third and final one. Their main focus was using them as a basis for infiltration, seeing of a post-war brain would work as well as a specific kind of projection or hologram to make them look human.
A raider who went by bullseye was the only brain that actually managed to imprint, showing that a post-war brain will rarely be able to take to a machine. In addition the projection was very flawed, any major damage to the skin-shell would permanently break that section of the display even if it is then repaired. Also the eyes stubbornly remained a brownish yellow despite bullseye having green.
Shortly after their creation they escaped, being able to do so alone due to the fact that, even with no memory, they innately didn't trust the institute because of bullseyes influence. Also they were thankfully literate with meant they could leave themselves notes.
Bullseye themself was still alive, raider scum still. Notorious for being a deadly aim (hence name), with a penchant for some particularly horrifying ideas of punishment. The had grown more and more cruel as they yes-man ideology of the raiders fully ensared them. On the fateful day, they were blasting peoples legs off with a shotgun.
(They both actually tended to use heavy artillery not any sharp shooting weapon at this point.)
Snipe (who wasn't yet using the name) wanted to talk with themself, as they had spent some time and realised they were no longer a pitiable hero. They couldn't excuse their actions with bullseyes unpleasant childhood anymore, especially due to a small level of cognitive dissonance between that person and themself that only grew with time. They only wanted to help themself. Literally.
There was a crowd around the stage-in-a-cage bullseye was using, a raider recognised snipe as a younger version (visibly so as it had been a while) of bullseye. The crowd goes berserk, in the hubbub snipe had their arm broken and the crowd got even more maniacal. 'A robot? What the hell?'. After clocking snipe over the back of the head they were dragged up to the stage.
Awaking to see themself with a shotgun barrel aimed straight at their mouth, they barely managed to realise what was going on before the shot rang off. Snipe grabbed the gun by the barrel and flipped it over into their own hands, still smoking, in the hesitation afterwards. Bullseye met death missing their head.
Snipe snagged their keys and booked it. The whole thing happening so quickly most were still processing it and entirely forgot to grab them.
Snipe wandered for a bit. They started to learn sniping till they were so good they got compared to "the scarlet sniper" after some years. It slowly got shortened to "red snipe" before finally becoming just "snipe".
They got pretty banged up, as they are a gunslinger and a mercenary nowadays. They wear a mask to hide the exposed metal and radio they now use to speak, red sunglasses to hide the fact their eyes are very nearly yellow and use power armour frames to make it look like they replaced a lost limb with synth and power armour parts and eventually their other hand.
In fact very little of that hologram is left, with just their right arm and forearm, part of their upper chest, most of their back bar a few holes. their face bar a holes in the back of thier skull is also mostly intact, they hide those with a hat.
Over the years snipe has developed a lot of quirks. They despise shotguns and wil, destroy every one they see. They enjoy pouring anti freeze where their mouth should be because its such a strange sensation ((helps them feel more tied to their body but dont do this at home kids you aren't robots)). They love card games and will aways have a pack of cards in one of their innumerable pockets. They have two tucked into their hat (none before meeting nick, one after and two once meeting dima). They like gardening but can't be trusted as they are a serial over-waterer. (There's more but it will clog this already long read)
Snipe also made everything themselves, from their outfit down and gun to their own facial-reconstitution radio-mouth. They spent a lot of time alone so used it to learn sewing, metal working, mechanical stuff etc. As skilled and smart as they are due to this practice they are also about as charismatic as a spoon due to lack of people being around.
Over the game they slowly warm to people (especially nick and glory). After glory dies they do regress slightly but eventually come through better. Eventually they stop being ashamed of their less human nature due to hanging around the railroad, minute men and all their other friends (excluding amari, whom they never forgave for 'killing' h2-22).
After meeting dima they tell nick about themself and now refer to each other as siblings. (Also they totally ship Nick and Ellie)
Again there's more but this is all the basics, they hang out at the starlight drive inn where all the companions are (except x6-88 for attempted murder of dance he has to live at the very abandoned red rocket)
And here's a whole bunch of photos of them:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I can't draw guns. Also they have the deathclaw gauntlet on their belt as their melee and an unseen deliverer in their back holster for up close.

Broncho w/Glove the Band
Opener could wail but sounded like some Celine Deon department store mall music.
No crowd. support from merch booth.
Typical sound problems with the monitors and feedback.
Antsy crowd ready for live music drawing interest with each droney note played from the synth.
Patience from the frontman is wearing thin as sound guy tries to keep up. Hopefully the new improvements from the new gear and monitors help.
Opened with a squeaky punch with reverb drench leads and a bouncy bass.
Second song bass drums and synth with brooding lyrics.
Fast and droney sound with this punk feel too it. Industrial sounding song with grunts at the end. Drum machine with live drums and lots of synth, dancey and droney, almost Gothic. Synth going crazy and the bass player has this Omni presence with his deep brooding voice. Has this joy division repetitive sound.
Never heard this band and I kinda like them.
Drummer says things are gonna drastically change. She stands up on her stool with a microphone. Mid song gets back on drums.
Last song drenched with digital drums yet have a live drums which works really well.
Frontman hopped off stage grabbed a girl's face and then forced my hands together to hold the mic for him as he played chords then bit he mic to take it back and smashed his guitar in rhythm to the song.
Energitic and intense is a way to describe this drum and bass post punk band.
Crowd moves up clearly ready for broncho.
With the release of thier new album everyone should be excited and I'm sure the band's excited seeing more then 15+ people in the crowd. Last time they came that was the unfortunate turnout and every song was sped up and played fast, blowing through thier set hoping to forget about it.
All set up and ready by 10 hopefully they play more then a 1hr.
Filling the small space outside with fog for aesthetic.
The sound has been awful so hopefully these the new monitors sounds good, I'm not sure if it's the old ones making a new board or the new one because there are old monitors/ speakers being used outside for background music in between.
I've always respected the sound program here at paper Tiger. They really do try thier best with the gear they have for music of literally all kinds.
Red and white lights come in as they are all dressed in all white. Opened with an dark filler intro
Played some new songs and gradually played thier older hits which the crowd loved. The sound is amazing.. almost no problems. They brought their own light guy Who's jamming out and doing a damn good job running the light show as well via iPad.
Drummer lights another cigarette. he has had one in his mouth the entire set and same as the last two times they played here.
Less to talk about because of how much I enjoyed the set. He was pretty hammered and the set still sounded good. They looked ghast and tired and drunk. When they all got off the stage, a friend of mine went up to them and starting talking to the singer and I got two set list signed with her help of course and he feverishly signed them clearly intoxicated.

Escape The Fate: I Am Human
Tumblr media
Hi everyone! it’s nice to see my latest review for Queen get such a warm response. Today i am going to tackle the latest album by Escape the Fate since my new release list is still exceptionally long. This was a pretty decent album that showed the band continuing with trends from the previous album Hate Me (reviewed) and adding more production value into it. They do make a very lazy move i believe by placing the track Let Me Be on this one as a closer again. The exact same version was the closer for their Hate Me album and if i included it in my review i would score it very harshly just for the laziness. It was probably a marketing decision from the label since you didnt really hear much about the album. It was very good however and worth a listen if you get bored. Let’s get started now!
Beautifully Tragic: We begin the album with zero warm up and go immediately into some fast and emotionally cheerful guitar riffs. Craig arrives with some very fitting vocals that are soothing and deliver their lyrics with a convincing calmness. The lyrics provide a strong sense of substance to follow along to and Craig does an outstanding job of really pouring his heart into this track. The occasional backing growl is a decent touch that will infuse some form of harshness into the mix without taking the emotional bliss from it. The guitar solo towards the end is a very strong segment of the song that will do a solid job of satisfying their fanbase and succeed at achieving mainstream accessibility. Would love to see this song live. 10/10
Broken Heart (Single): This single begins with a bit more poppy of a vibe. It begins with a slight synth opening before going into an atmospheric rock style that is very similar to latest Papa Roach albums. This will signal that it is continuing to focus on improving their mainstream traits at the cost of being excessively simple this time around. Definitely not a bad piece overall since it could be a fair piece to ease listeners from their more extravagant work; but the previous song would of been a better pick for a single. 7/10
Four Letter Word: Guitars begin with a straightforward rock vibe while Craig educates you on how many letters are in love lol. The guitars keep a low presence in the background while Craig dominates the forefront with a standard delivery style. The lyrics do need a more complexity to them but the basic nature will help to shape to turn this song into an easygoing piece; which will allow you to space out to during a relaxation session. The solo is another job well done on the album so far and demonstrates how skilled the band’s guitarists can be when let off the lease for a bit. 6.5/10
I Will Make It Up to You: Now this is one of my personal favorites on the album. It begins with a moving drum beat and goes into pop punk territory. The guitars help Craig to deliver a sense of romantic bliss into the atmosphere, The lyrics are very strong here and will be perfect to follow along to during a listen. The chorus helps to round things out significantly well with their convincing sense of pleading. The instrumentals do a good job of supporting Craig and will enable this to stand out as one of the strongest tracks on the album. The solo here continues to be very stellar and brings forth some near thrash elements without losing that romantic bliss. This would be a decent pick for a live performance and may of done well as a single too due to its energetic mainstream ballad appeal. 9/10
Bleed For Me: The band changes things up a bit with a classical key opening the leaves Craig alone to keep things flowing. He actually does very well at making this opening flow very smoothly while adding some complexity into the album. The guitars keep into the background in a support role and leave the rhythm segment to control the soothing tempo of the song. Craig delivers some pretty deep lyrics that will be good to follow along with and unwind to during a rough day. I’ll give them props for making this track work out very smoothly and utilizing more classical instruments in the mix. It helps to bring some of the complex elements from their Hate Me album on here. 8.5/10
Do You Love Me? (Single): This single begins with an echoed vocal opening which brings an interesting texture to the song before some tense guitars arrive. The vocals take on a more aggressive tone and actually bring some growl verses for the first time in the album but mainly stay in clean ballad territory. The guitars are giving a lot more leeway on here and shred it a lot more often at different transition points in the song. The lyrics are simple but very effective at keeping a semi catchy nature in their flow. There is a breakdown towards the end segment that would of been nice to have been drawn out for a bit in order to change the energy of the album a bit. 8/10
I Am Human (Single): This title track and single begins with keys and Craig arrives to deliver softly melodic vocals over a really atmospheric instrumental foundation. The chorus takes its time in progressing but it works out fairly well due to its very theraputic nature and it helps to place a stronger emphasis on it as well. They bring in some synth elements at time which help to fill in some gaps that might have otherwise been there. I couldnt really see this really fitting into a live set as it is; but it could be a very good pick to do as an acoustic track. Other than that it does a decent job at what it aims for; but i’m hoping the next few tracks change things up a bit and bring forth some more aggressive elements in order to keep the album diverse and fresh. 7.5/10
If Only: This one makes things interesting a bit and is an acoustic ballad. The acoustic riffs begin with an energetic foundation and Craig arrives to deliver a very melodic yet soothing delivery. The lyrics will be a major focus on this song and actually do a very good at giving strong substance to the song. It has a catchy tone without trying to sound poppy and even the acoustic melodies appear rather strong on their own. This would be a stand out pick for a live acoustic set. They do bring forth some electric riffs at time that help to give it a romantic Spanish vibe. 8.5/10
Empire (Single): Electronic elements begin this final single before Craig arrives to deliver some more tense vocals. The lyrics match in them and the electronic elements actually provide an interesting texture for supporting him. He experiments with some empty spacing during the instrumentation in order place some extra tension and emphasis on his lyrics. Eh; not a bad piece but it continues to hold those basic tendencies that will lead this album to feeling stale and repetitive as it progresses. So far the songs are really all good on their own but don’t deviate very heavily from each other to be fully appreciated as a whole. 7/10
Recipe For Disaster (Featuring Joe Cotela of DED): I’m actually very excited at their guest musician on this one. I saw DED live last year with Korn and Stone Sour and for a first year opener they really put on a good performance. Since they are a significantly heavier band i’m expecting this piece to be a lot heavier overall.  It begins with more synth elements before vocal before the guitars lead to a very aggressive rhythm format. Craig delivers very tense growl verses and his guest vocalist do a decent job of delivering a strong support element to him. The guest vocalist delivers a very compelling solo performance that should provide some interest for fans of that genre to check his own music out. I was expecting some heavier elements on it but the combination of more tense guitars, experimental electronics and growl verses will shape this up to be a very solid live track. 8.5/10
Riot: This track begins with a nice and gritty rock n roll vibe before Craig arrives to deliver a swagger infused vocal delivery. He does a pretty good job of delivering some pump up segments that should help to make this track another pretty good live piece for the listener to dance along to and party with. A few more tracks like this would be a good addition to this album for sure. 8.5/10
Digging My Own Grave:This song begins abruptly with a strong sense of tension before very aggressive screams arrive to finally bring in that harshness the album was missing so far. The instrumentals do a stellar job of emphasizing this trait and can surely be noted as the mosh pit track of the album. This naturally will make it to be a strong live pick overall. 9/10
Resistance: I’m going to treat this as the finale track since their inclusion of the track Let Me Be as a closer still aggravates me on here, I still believe that it is purely a label decision verses their own so unless stated otherwise; its best to look at it as that. This track begins with the same pump up atmosphere that the last song had and seeks to bring forth a rather tense gang shout segment before the guitars join with the bass to create a very groovy instrumental segment. It’s rhythm will be very hard to not want to dance to and it definitely shows the band dropping their mainstream ambitions for a bit and just letting loose for a bit. Definitely an outstanding crowd pleaser for a live performance and helps to shape the ending of the album on a very strong note. 9/10
Overall album rating: 8.2/10
Well this album scored decently. It’s a fair drop in score from their previous album at an 8.8/10 but i relate that due to the fact this album three extra tracks to dilute the score a bit; and that this album suffered from a lack of diversity as it reached the middle. It’s still showcases a strong growth towards their mainstream goals and further polishing of their base sound. I would recommend checking it out whether or not you are a fan of the band but i suggest checking out their previous album Hate Me first. That album showcases the superior side of this albums sound. I’m hoping that thier next album continues with their ballads since that is Craig’s strong suit as a clean vocalist; but i hope they incorporate an emphasis towards their rock n roll excess like on the last two tracks. Kind of like if they went back to their “This War is Ours” album but with a stronger lean towards a chaotic Buckcherry/ Motley Crue like vibe. Well i hope you guys appreciate this promo review and next weekend i’ll try and pop out another good choice for you guys to enjoy.

Promo Animation - Development
Tumblr media
I Began by sketching up my initial idea which was once again based around triangles, i planned on placing my work into the triangles, then having them fly out from the centre of the screen and float in place for a second before they fly off out of borders of the screen. Then to finish it off, i’d have all the triangles fly into place and form the zeta kat logo.
Tumblr media
Firstly i counted how many triangles i needed to fill in order to form the logo, i counted 21 and so i went through all of my work from college, uni and personal projects and picked some of my best and most different. I Clipping masked all of these pieces of work into triangles and exported them as PNGs to keep their transparency.

I then imported all the PNGs into after effects and put them in place like the solid black triangles from the animated logo. After forming all the shapes into the logo I moved the cti to later in the compositon and made key frames for all the triangles scale, anchor points, opacity, rotation and position so no matter what I do, the triangles will always end up in that position, i also moved the cti before adding keyframes to each triangle so they would slot into place at slightly different times.
Tumblr media
I then moved the cti to earlier in the video and adjusted each individual triangles poition and scale so they all come flying in from different directions, i also moved the cti for each triangle so they all come in at slightly different times.
Tumblr media
I then highlighted all of the triangle layers, right clicked and made them into a pre-comp so there were less layers cluttering the composition, i also did this incase i wanted to adjust the size, position, roatation, etc. as a pre-comp only needs you to adust keyframes on one layer rather than adjust multiple layers.
Tumblr media
I then placed a png of the zeta kat logo ontop and adjusted the opacity to make it fade in and the pre-comp fade out. I then essentially recreated my animated logo by scaling the logo down, moving it to the side, drawing a unique, white shape behind it and finally having the ‘Zeta’ emerge from behind it.
Tumblr media
This time i also drew a line which extends out below the logo by having two keyframes with 0% opacity and a very thing line at the same point and another two later in the video with 100% opacity and a longer line. I also had text saying ‘Graphic Design’ and ‘visit zetakat.com’ fade in by adjusting thier opacities.
Tumblr media
I used the same areas of graphics from the website 'pixel art', 'illustration' and 'digital', I didn't use animation as I was already showing my animation skills by making this video (and I didn't exactly know how to place an animation inside a triangle, nor did I have enough good examples).
Tumblr media
I then wrote out 'pixel art' using the text tool and adjusted it's opacity so it would fade in, I then adjusted the scale and position of the pixel art triangles so they come flying in from the outside of the screen, similar to the pre-comp but this time i adjusted thier position every few frames so they jitter around and look like they,re moving fast. I then adjusted the opacity to make ‘pixel art’ disappear and adjusted the triangles scale, position and opacity so they shrink into the centre of the screen and disappear to look like they are flying out of sight.
Tumblr media
I repeated this process for the others.
Tumblr media
I then looked for music to play in the background which was different from the typical ukele music, i tried rock, techno, 80s Synth and in the end i could find anything that worked. I wanted to use some slower calmer music to fit in with my own calm nature,so i went in and removed some of the keyframes that make the triangles jitter so they would move slower and fit in better with my desired type of music.
Tumblr media
After a bit of searching on Youtube i came across this video that fit in quite well (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZq7vDKqrQ4), so i downloaded it via a ‘YouTube to MP3′ website, impoted it, lined it up with the visuals and added some audio level keyframes so it would fade in.
Tumblr media
I felt something was missing so i looked into other promo videos and deicided to add and extra 12 seconds by going composition > composition settings and changing the duration from 0:00:20:00 to 0:00:32:00. I wanted 10 seconds  in the beginning for a short introduction and 2 seconds at the end so the logo and ‘visit zetakat.com’ would stay onscreen a bit longer.
Tumblr media
I dragged the existing layers towards the end of the video so what i had so far started at around 10 seconds in.
Tumblr media
I then typed out “I’m Z”, “A”, “K”, “T”, “A”, “T” and “E” sepreatley so i could adjust each ones opacity and poistion so it would fade out, move position and fade back in to make it re-arrange from “I’m Zak Tate” to “I’m Zeta Kat” which both introduces me and gives some context to the brand name.
Tumblr media
I then placed the Zeta Kat face and adjusted it’s Position and rotation so it floats down into the centre stays in place for a second then floats down off screen. I wanted to give some personality to the face and make the promo a bit more fun so i drew a unique black shape and adjusted it’s opacity and position to cover the face’s eye for a second and make it look as if it’s winking. To bring more attention to the wink i then downloaded a “Ding” sound effect off youtube and lined it up to when the eye gets covered.
Tumblr media
I found I had 3 seconds to fill in between the wink and the first set of flying triangles so i decided to add a bit of context to the flying triangles with a simple bit of text reading “I’m a graphic designer who is capable of the following:”. After writing it out i simply adjusted it’s position so it moves in form the left of the screen and off to the right.
Tumblr media
Finally i added it to the render queue, rendered it out as a video and uploaded it to vimeo.

Companions react on Sole getting drunk?
Cait- “such a lightweight”
Heavily amused(and jealous) by just how quickly Sole can get drunk.
She’ll look out for them and keep them outta trouble but she cannot be bothered to nothing more then shout at them or others who want to mess with sole.
Sole will wake up half thrown on a bed with some med-x and a cup of water near by.
Codsworth- “mum, I insist that you put that bottle down before yo-oh dear…”
While it does bring him back to good times before the war he does not miss the absolute pain in his rear Sole can be.
Powerless to do anything other then give advice or warn other about Sole’s actions.
Will do his best to ease the hangover, from medicine to pushing everyone away so loud noises wouldn’t hurt Sole when they woke up.
Cuire- “I have experienced this sensation before, I do not wish to experience it again.”
When did Cuire drunk? Probably Deacon or MacCready. Anyways, she didn’t enjoy the hangover part over puking her guts up since she got her synth body.
Kinda like Codsworth, she’ll be like a parent watchin over their toddler. “Do not touch that!” Or “Put that down!”
Sole can expect the hangover be to over the moment they open their eyes. Perks of having a doctor as your companion!
Danse(post BB)- “I thought you were better then that-“
He gave himself high expectations about Sole being able to down more then what they already got in them. Shame.
He lets Sole off the hook as long as they stay in his sight, once they’re gone he will hunt them down and make them go home.
Depending on how much Sole drank, they’ll either have to walk it off or he’ll crave in and give Sole some medicine to alleviate the hang over.
Deacon “well, this is bound to be interesting just don’t go tellin me all your dirty little secrets, I can promise that I won’t be able to keep them.”
Well someone has to be the responsible one around here and it isn’t going to be him. Sole will loose track of Deacon as he switches into costumes whenever he gets the chance.
Yeah, Sole is on their own lol.
Somehow, some way, Sole will wake up with Deacon not to far from them, passed out. They better hope that they brought enough medicine…
Gage- “damn Boss, best hope that none of bosses catch wind of this.”
He’ll get wasted alongside Sole once he’s made sure that thier reckless actions aren’t found out, the last thing Gage wants for the the new Overboss is to have a bad rep with drinks.
They both do a lot of questionable things. Not like that, this post of sfw. Example would be Gage taking a leak over the edge of Fizztop grill and onto one of Disciples and the two of them having to hide for dear life.
Gage is immune to Hangovers so Sole can expect to be laughed at by Gage.
Hancock-“didn’t know you knew how to party!”
He will absolutely shit-faced along side Sole.
Someone has to watch over the two otherwise the two are bound blow something up.
They both will live the hangover in over-dramatic agony.
MacCready(after the long road ahead) - “I do not know this person, they are not associated with me despite whatever they say.”
As long as no one knows the two of them came in together, Sole is on their own. Sole swear’s they can still hear Mac laughing when sober.
He’ll keep watch for trouble but yeah, you’re not his problem. Ya may be friends and what else do friends do? Let each other get into embarrassing situations so they can make fun of you later
The basic needs will be fulfilled.
Nick- “make sure you keep that inside you, I’m not your babysitter”
He never did enjoy being drunk, it made him feel to vulnerable and easy to pick off so yeah safe to say he’s not too pleased with Sole getting drunk but he can understand the need of what to do such.
He’ll remove Sole from their current surroundings and find a safe spot. He’s not really lookin coward to having his rep tainted by his weak gutted partner.
When Sole wakes up and asked what’s going on, Nick will recount the events-in great detail. Wether or not Sole remembers thier actions, they will be reminded.
Piper- “blackmail baby-“ *pulls out camera*
Oh does she love it when important figures around her drunk, so much easier to persuade and if that fails- BLACKMAIL BABY!
If Sole and her are in a safe space, from a safe distance Piper will watch and wait until Sole does something embarrassing.
Sole will wake up with a very nice note filled with demands and questions and a folder of the pictures Piper took.
Preston- “General, you can’t lead the Minute Men when your drunk! Plus we’ve got another set-“
Preston doesn’t enjoy drinking, he also doesn’t like drunks so yeah he’s going to be a bit passive aggressive with Sole, watch out.
He will become a helicopter parent, Sole will not be able to move without Preston watching their ever move.
The moment Sole wakes up, Preston will ask them to take the medicine to cure their hangover and progress on their day
X6- “you are making a fool of yourself, I advice that you stop doing such.”
He doesn’t understand why people want to get drunk, he can figure out why but is afraid that he himself will make a fool of himself.
Once Sole has started to act unruly, he will remove Sole if they are in the eye of the public other wise he leaves Sole alone.
Sole will wake up neatly tucked into a bed, medicine near by to help cure their hangover.

It would’ve genuinely been funny as hell to hear father list off the reason that the commonwealth is doomed, I don’t mean like he’s saying the constant fight and betrayal.
I mean “Florida man” type reasons-
“Commonwealth man killed after attempting to seduce Deathclaw.”
“Local settlement burns to ground, witness claims “a really big botfly got stuck in thier outhouse, fire grew out of control.”
“Man shot house cat, calming the cat was a synth and was spying on them, cat still lives.”
“Meet the women with 5 pet mole rats and a Yao Gui husband!”
“Goodneighbor Mayor Hancock found strung up by his foot off of balcony, stats “Jet is a helluva drug.”
And then there’s also the shit that his own flesh and blood does, he sees everything after all.
If father knew half of the shit I did, his disappointment for me would be deeper then his disappointment for the commonwealth as I’m sure he would’ve caught wind that I had segg’s with a robobrain…
aNYWAYS- I imagine him just being so tired or the commonwealths bullshit that he decided that by wiping the slat clean, things will get better lol.

I really think that like none of the Companions are heavily religious, but I do think that most have some sorta god believe they in. I doubt the robots/synths really believe in a higher being, they were manufactured so their higher powers would be their like the Institute or general atomic.
The only person I can see who may have been religious would’ve been Danse but after Blind Betrayal and he finds out he’s a synth I know that he would’ve started question the idea of a higher being.
Cait would outright hate the idea of a higher being. Why did she get such a shitty life? What has she done to deserve such a life that she had lived? she’d be a heavy atheist and I bet she wouldn’t even believe in the devil.
X6, Curie, Codsworth, and Ada would be very adamant that there is no higher being. I can’t explain it well enough but since they were made I suspect that they refuse to believe in such a ‘wild thought’
Nick, Piper, Preston, and MacCready definitely aren’t religious crazy’s but they think there’s some higher being, a heaven and hell, a god and a devil. This would be based off of various religious tidbits they pick up from around them. If they are about to head into a dangerous area/situation then they may say a few words but that’s about the extant of it.
As for the rest of them? Hancock, Gage, and Deacon I imagine that they don’t really care about what happens after. They’re just here to live thier life’s and don’t care of what they do is premeditated or of their own free will.
This ain’t meant to shot on anyone else ideas/head cannons btw! I know that if ya go into a church the Companions will sit down and pray but this is an idle animation that happens when ya go into there and chill in there. If ya think otherwise, that’s chill but this is my head cannon so I beg of you not to attack me.
Also, I dunno where this came from?

I’m so pissed that we don’t get the option to tell those who are aware of what happened to your family what happens when you blow up the Institute.
You just blew up your son, you’re god-damn child. He’s dead now because you pressed that button, because you sided with the Brotherhood or the Minute Men or the Railroad, his death is on your hands now and no one knows about this.
Just think of how vulnerable and raw and powerful that conversation would have been if you told them that the mastermind behind the Institute, the leader and face of the cursed place was your own flesh and blood-your son. Imagine thier reactions too.
You could go the ‘unbothered’ route and one of the lines could be “He stopped being my son after the Institute took him.” He’s too far gone to change his ways, you know that and there’s nothing you could do to change that.
I’d imagine that there would be the “Humor is the best coping mechanism” type of route. Think of the sarcasm line from when you go to Diamond city and the whole Synth thing happens with the two brothers.
Of course, there would be the absolute mess route. You really wouldn’t be able to think or speak, it would all be a mess. Just one massive mess or garbled words and actions, the companions would be one the giving you comfort.
I don’t knwo what the fourth option would be? Maybe like a ‘I don’t want to talk about this’ route? Just ignore the ever conversation.
