Looking back, Lilia vividly remembers the day you arrived in Twisted Wonderland. Amidst the grand spectacle of the entrance ceremony, particularly with Grim's frantic attempts to avoid being captured, there was something about you that captured his attention. Maybe it was the distinct curiosity shining in your eyes, navigating through an entirely foreign world with a blend of composure and uncertainty. Whatever it was, he found himself wanting to reach out and make you feel welcome.
He started looking out for you without even realizing it. He began with small gestures, like offering help with your studies when he found you hunched over a book in the library or popping down from the ceiling to help you find a classroom. He enjoyed seeing your smile brighten whenever you grasped a new concept or conquered a challenge. It felt good to be there for you, to share his experiences and insights.
As time went on, your interactions blossomed into a regular occurrence. Hours seemed to melt away as you engaged in conversations about anything and everything, exchanging stories of your homeland and experiences while he eagerly recounted his adventures from various countries. Among the students, you were the only one to actively praise his cooking, willingly joining him in the kitchen. These shared moments became cherished moments for Lilia, feeling a connection forming between you that he couldn't quite explain.
But it wasn't until much later that he realized the true depth of his feelings. They had silently amassed over time, creeping up on him when he least expected it. Suddenly, he found myself thinking about you all the time, wondering how you were and yearning to see your smile once more.
Just as his thoughts drifted to you, a familiar laughter dances through the air, drawing his attention. Turning towards its source, he finds himself captivated by the scene unfolding before him. The sun bathes the school courtyard in a radiant golden hue, casting a warm, inviting glow upon everything it touches. There you are, seated on the grass with legs crossed, skillfully weaving delicate tulip flowers into a crown.
Curiosity piqued, he approaches quietly, not wanting to interrupt your moment of concentration. As he draws nearer, you glance up, your eyes shimmering with delight and a mischievous grin playing upon your lips.
"Lilia!" you exclaim, a hint of surprise colouring your tone. "What perfect timing! I've made something for you."
With a graceful flourish, you hold up the tulip flower crown, presenting it as if it were a priceless gem. Each vibrant petal seems to shimmer and sway in the sunlight, casting a spell of enchantment over the surroundings. The delicate blooms, ranging in hues from deep crimson to soft pastel pink, are meticulously arranged in a circular formation, creating a majestic crown fit for royalty.
"You made this for me?" he asks, a wry grin on his face. He can't help but think it suits you far better.
"Of course!" You reply, your grin widening. "Don’t you think it’ll enhance your cuteness?"
A huff of laughter escapes him as you delicately place the crown upon his head, adjusting it until it sits just right. He can't help but feel a rush of affection towards you, grateful for your kindness and the undeniable warmth you bring into his life.
As you step back to admire your handiwork, your gaze meets his, and time seems to stand still. He finds himself entranced by the sparkle in your eyes, the way your smile reaches all the way to your soul.
It is then, with the sun kissing your skin and the scent of tulips filling the air, that he realises just how deeply he cares for you. In your laughter, in your playful gestures, he found a love he hadn't known existed, a love that filled him with a warmth unlike anything he'd ever felt before. And as he looks into your eyes, his own heart overflowing with emotion, he knows that he has fallen completely, utterly in love.
"Rather than me," he begins, lifting the flower crown from his head and gently placing it upon yours. "I believe it enhances your cuteness far more effectively."
He watches with rapt attention as a delicate flush blossoms across your cheeks, like the soft petals of a rose responding to the morning sun. The warmth of embarrassment paints your features with a gentle hue, adding a touch of ethereal beauty to your already captivating presence. In that moment, your eyes widen slightly, reflecting a mixture of surprise and affection, like sparkling jewels illuminated by a ray of sunlight.
Truly, the deepest of loves.

The soft glow of the hospital room cast a muted light over the sterile surroundings, the beeping of machines filling the air with a steady rhythm. Eli lay in the hospital bed, his expression a mask of stoicism as he stared up at the ceiling, lost in thought.
The events of the accident replayed in his mind like a broken record, the memory of the explosion haunting him like a specter in the night. He had been careless, too caught up in his work to notice the warning signs until it was too late. And now, here he was, laid up in a hospital bed with nothing but his regrets for company.
But that wasn't the worst thing—not because the physical wounds could heal, but because the emotional ones couldn't. It had been a week, a week since the accident that left Eli lying in that hospital bed, his body battered and broken. But it seemed that the real damage was to his soul.
As he lay there, staring up at the sterile ceiling, a wave of anguish washed over him. Where were they? Where were the people who were supposed to care about him, even if just a little? Deep down, he knew he didn't deserve their concern. He had been an arrogant bastard, selfish and self-absorbed, caring only about his own pursuits and pleasures. But still, the absence of anyone by his side cut deeper than any physical wound.
He didn't expect Sarah, his ex-wife, or Barkley, his son, to come visit him. They had taken the money and run, leaving him alone in more ways than one. But he had hoped, perhaps foolishly, that someone would show up. A friend, a colleague, even one of the women he had entertained himself with. Yet, it felt like no one cared about him. And the realization stung.
Eli couldn't help but feel a sense of déjà vu. It was like being a child again, alone and isolated, ridiculed by his classmates. He remembered the sting of rejection, the ache of loneliness that gnawed at him day after day. And now, lying in that hospital bed, it felt like history was repeating itself.
He glanced around the sterile room, his gaze landing on the empty chair beside his bed. It had been vacant since the day he was admitted, a stark reminder of his solitude. He longed for someone to sit there, to hold his hand and offer words of comfort. But the chair remained empty, a silent testament to his isolation.
With a heavy sigh, Eli closed his eyes, willing the memories and the pain to fade away. But deep down, he knew that the wounds left by loneliness and abandonment would not heal easily. And as the beeping of the machines filled the air once more, Eli couldn't help but feel a sense of despair wash over him, drowning him in a sea of anguish and regret. The ache in his body paled in comparison to the hollow emptiness that gnawed at his soul, a relentless reminder of his own failings and shortcomings.
The memories of his past sins haunted him like ghosts in the night, each one a painful reminder of the wreckage he had left in his wake. He had been a man consumed by his own ambition, blinded by his relentless pursuit of success and recognition. And in his single-minded quest for greatness, he had trampled over anyone who dared to stand in his way, leaving a trail of broken hearts and shattered dreams in his wake.
But now, as he lay there, broken and alone, Eli couldn't help but wonder if it had all been worth it. The accolades and achievements that had once seemed so important now felt hollow and meaningless, nothing more than empty symbols of his own vanity and arrogance.
And as he gazed up at the sterile ceiling above him, a sense of profound despair washed over him, threatening to consume him whole. He longed for the warmth of human connection, for someone to reach out and offer him solace in his darkest hour. But the empty chair beside his bed served as a stark reminder of his solitude, a silent testament to the depths of his loneliness.
Eli's thoughts turned to Sarah and Barkley. They had been the closest thing he had ever known to love, and yet he had driven them away with his selfishness and neglect. He had taken their presence for granted, assuming that they would always be there to pick up the pieces of his shattered life. But now, as he lay there abandoned and alone, he realized the extent of his folly.
With a sense of desperation clawing at his chest, he ripped the machines attached to him, the beeping growing louder as he tore the devices from his body. Each movement sent jolts of pain shooting through his battered form, but he paid no heed to the agony, consumed by his need to escape the suffocating grip of solitude.
Weak and injured, Eli struggled to get up from the bed, his muscles protesting with every movement. The laboratory explosion had left him with burns and cuts, the wounds decorating his body like battle scars of his own making. He leaned heavily on an IV pole for support, the metal digging into his palm as he tried to steady himself.
Lines of anguish etched deep into his features, Eli's baritone voice echoed through the sterile room, a haunting melody of despair and regret. "Damn it all," he muttered through gritted teeth, his words laced with bitterness and self-loathing. "I can't stay here. I won't."
With a shaky breath, Eli pushed himself forward, each step a testament to his stubborn determination to break free from the shackles of his own making. But his body rebelled against his efforts, weakened by the trauma it had endured. Every movement was a battle, every breath a struggle as he fought to overcome the physical and emotional pain that threatened to consume him whole.
And yet, despite the odds stacked against him, Eli pressed on, driven by a fierce resolve to reclaim his freedom, no matter the cost. With each agonizing step, he felt the weight of his loneliness bearing down on him like a heavy burden, threatening to crush him beneath its suffocating embrace.
Memories of his childhood flashed before his eyes, a bittersweet reminder of a time when he had known the warmth of his mother's embrace, the comforting touch of her hand as she tended to his wounds and chased away his fears. But now, she was gone, a distant memory lost to the passage of time, leaving Eli adrift in a sea of emptiness.
With a bitter twist of irony, Eli realized that he had become the very thing he despised most—a lonely, pathetic figure yearning for the companionship he had once taken for granted. He had closed himself off to the world, erecting walls of arrogance and self-importance to shield himself from the pain of rejection and abandonment. But now, as he lay broken and alone, those walls crumbled around him, leaving him exposed and vulnerable to the harsh realities of his existence.
As he stumbled down the hallway, ignoring the nurse's futile attempts to stop him, Eli felt the weight of his own inadequacy bearing down on him like a crushing weight. His body was weak, his spirit shattered, and with each passing moment, he sank deeper into the abyss of his own despair.
And then, just when he thought he couldn't bear it any longer, Eli's legs gave out beneath him, sending him crashing to the ground in a pathetic heap of limbs and shattered pride. He lay there, sprawled out on the cold tile floor, a broken shell of the man he had once been, his baritone voice choked with anguish as he whispered words of self-condemnation into the empty void.
"I'm pathetic," he muttered, his voice barely a whisper as he gazed up at the sterile ceiling above him. "A Nobel Prize winner, revered by the world, and yet... I'm nothing but a lonely, pathetic bastard."
Tears welled up in his eyes, blurring his vision as he struggled to come to terms with the harsh reality of his existence. He had spent a lifetime chasing after success and recognition, believing that they held the key to happiness and fulfillment. But now, as he lay broken and alone, he realized that he had been chasing after shadows, grasping at empty promises that had crumbled to dust in his hands.
And as the nurse knelt beside him, her voice a soothing murmur in the darkness, Eli closed his eyes and surrendered to the overwhelming tide of despair that threatened to consume him whole. He knew that he was a broken man, irreparably damaged by the choices he had made and the paths he had chosen. But deep down, beneath the layers of arrogance and self-delusion, all he wanted was to be whole again, to feel the warmth of human connection and the healing touch of love.
But for Eli Michaelson, the road to redemption would be long and arduous, fraught with pitfalls and obstacles at every turn. And as he lay there, battered and broken, he knew that the journey had only just begun.

The next morning, Eli sat in silence, the dull glow of the TV flickering in the dimly lit hospital room. He picked at the unappetizing hospital food on his tray, his appetite dulled by the weight of loneliness that hung heavy in the air. He tried to convince himself that solitude was preferable, that he didn't need anyone else. But deep down, he couldn't ignore the ache in his chest, the longing for human connection that gnawed at his soul.
As he stared blankly at the screen, lost in his thoughts, the sudden forceful opening of the door startled him out of his reverie. The door slammed against the wall with a loud thud, causing Eli to turn his head towards the entrance, his curiosity piqued.
There, standing in the doorway, was a young woman, her cheeks stained with tears as she cried. Before Eli could comprehend what was happening, she ran towards him and enveloped him in a tight hug, burying her face against his chest as she sobbed uncontrollably.
Confusion washed over Eli as he awkwardly patted the young woman's back, unsure of what to do. "Uh, what's going on?" he muttered, his voice gruff with disorientation.
Pulling away from the embrace, the young woman looked up at him with tear-filled eyes, her voice trembling with emotion. "Professor Michaelson, I was so worried about you," she exclaimed, her words tumbling out in a rush. "I thought you had gone on vacation, that's why you were away from campus. But I didn't realize you were in the hospital. If I had known, I would have come sooner."
Eli's brow furrowed in confusion as he tried to place the young woman's face. Who was she, and why was she so upset about him? Pushing her hands away gently, he questioned, "Who the hell are you?"
The young woman's tears halted abruptly, replaced by a look of embarrassment as she wiped at her cheeks. "Oh, I'm sorry," she stammered, her voice small. "I'm one of your students at the university. I always sit in the front row. It's me, [Your Name]."
Eli racked his brain, trying to recall any memory of a student named [Your Name]. But the truth was, he didn't bother to remember the names of his students, unless they were the most beautiful women in his classes. And while [Your Name] was certainly adorable in her own right, she didn't fit the bill of his usual conquests.
Nevertheless, Eli put on a facade of recognition, offering a faint smile as he nodded. "Ah, yes, [Your Name]," he said, his tone somewhat forced. "Of course, I remember you now. It's good to see you."
As Eli's gaze met yours, you couldn't help but feel a surge of happiness at the recognition, however brief it may be. The sound of your name rolling off his tongue in that deep, baritone voice sent a shiver down your spine, making you blush slightly at the attention.
But before you could bask in the moment, Eli's question brought you back to reality with a jolt. "Did everyone come to see me?" he asked, his voice tinged with uncertainty as he glanced towards the door, as if expecting a flood of visitors at any moment.
You shook your head gently, your heart sinking at the disappointment in his eyes. "No, Professor Michaelson," you replied softly, your voice barely above a whisper. "I... I was the only one who came."
Eli visibly deflated at your words, a sense of desolation washing over him as he processed the information. "Oh," he murmured, his voice heavy with disappointment. "No one else came."
You shifted awkwardly on your feet, feeling a pang of sympathy for the man lying before you, so vulnerable and alone. And as you stood next to Eli's hospital bed, awkwardly rubbing your arm, you felt a pang of sympathy for him. He seemed so vulnerable in that moment, his usual air of confidence replaced by a palpable sense of loneliness. You glanced down at your feet, unsure of what to say or do to comfort him.
Suddenly, Eli's voice broke the silence, pulling you out of your thoughts. "Where are the flowers?" he asked, his tone tinged with confusion.
You looked up at him, puzzled. "Huh?" you replied, furrowing your brow in confusion.
Eli insisted, his tone growing more urgent. "The flowers, the balloons, you know, all those things people bring when they visit someone in the hospital."
Your cheeks flushed with embarrassment as you stuttered apologetically, "Oh, I... I was so worried, I didn't even think about it."
Eli's arrogant smile softened at your words, his expression betraying a hint of curiosity. "You were worried? About me?" he asked, genuine surprise coloring his tone.
You shifted nervously on your feet, feeling self-conscious under his intense gaze. "Um, yeah," you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper. "I mean, I know we don't really know each other that well, but... I guess I just didn't want you to feel alone."
You felt a rush of embarrassment wash over you. You couldn't help but feel pathetic standing there in front of your crush, blushing furiously as you struggled to find the right words to say. Deciding to make a hasty retreat, you turned around, mumbling something about leaving. But before you could take a step, Eli practically shouted, "Wait!"
Startled, you turned back to face him, surprise written across your features. "I mean... wait," Eli amended, his tone softer this time. "I... I don't actually mind having company. I've been getting bored of watching TV all day."
Relief flooded through you as you realized that Eli didn't want you to leave. With a shy smile, you nodded and took a seat in the empty chair beside his bed, grateful for the opportunity to keep him company during his time of need.
And as you settled into the chair beside Eli's hospital bed, you couldn't shake the feeling of awkwardness that hung in the air between the two of you. The conversation was stilted at first, filled with hesitant pauses and forced smiles as you struggled to find common ground. But as the minutes passed, you found yourselves falling into an easy rhythm, chatting about anything and everything under the sun.
"So, I heard Professor Hart is filling in for you," you began, trying to steer the conversation away from the uncomfortable topic of Eli's hospitalization. "He seems... interesting."
Eli chuckled softly at your remark, a twinkle of amusement dancing in his eyes. "Interesting is one way to describe him," he replied, his voice tinged with sarcasm. "But I suppose he'll do in a pinch."
You nodded in agreement, relieved that Eli seemed willing to engage in conversation despite the circumstances. "Yeah, I heard he's a bit eccentric," you remarked, trying to keep the conversation light. "But hey, at least he keeps things entertaining."
Eli's lips twitched into a wry smile at your comment, his gaze drifting towards the TV screen as if seeking refuge from the awkwardness of the moment. "Entertaining is one way to put it," he mused, his tone tinged with amusement. "But I suppose we'll survive until I'm back on my feet."
You couldn't help but chuckle at Eli's dry sense of humor, grateful for the brief moment of levity amidst the somber atmosphere of the hospital room. "Oh, I'm sure we'll manage," you quipped, a playful glint in your eye. "But I have to admit, I do miss your classes. Chemistry just isn't the same without you."
Eli's expression softened at your words, a hint of genuine warmth shining through his usually stoic demeanor. "Well, I'm flattered to hear that," he replied, his voice tinged with sincerity. "Chemistry is my passion, after all. It's nice to know that someone appreciates my efforts."
You blushed at the unexpected praise, feeling a rush of warmth spread through your cheeks. "Well, I've always enjoyed your classes," you admitted, unable to hide the smile that tugged at your lips. "Chemistry has always been my favorite subject."
Eli's eyes sparkled with amusement at your confession, a knowing smile playing on his lips. "Is that so?" he teased, his tone laced with playful curiosity. "Well, I suppose I'll have to make sure to put on a good show when I return, then."
You laughed at Eli's playful banter, grateful for the distraction it provided from the seriousness of the situation. But as the conversation turned back to Eli's accident, you couldn't help but feel a pang of concern for him.
"So, how exactly did the accident happen?" you asked, your voice laced with genuine curiosity. "Was it some sort of experiment gone wrong?"
Eli waved off your question dismissively, as if it were of little consequence. "Oh, nothing too dramatic," he replied nonchalantly. "Just a minor mishap in the lab. These things happen from time to time."
You raised an eyebrow skeptically at Eli's casual response, unable to shake the feeling that he was downplaying the severity of the situation. "Just a minor mishap, huh?" you remarked, unable to hide the hint of skepticism in your voice. "Are you sure you're not secretly plotting to take over the world with your evil experiments?"
Eli's expression darkened at your joke, a shadow passing over his features as he regarded you with a serious look. "I assure you, [Your Name], there's nothing nefarious about my work," he replied, his tone grave. "I may have made some mistakes along the way, but I've always strived to use my knowledge for the greater good."
You winced at the sudden shift in tone, realizing that you had touched a nerve with your flippant remark. "I'm sorry, Professor," you apologized quickly, feeling a pang of guilt for making light of the situation. "I didn't mean to imply anything... I was just trying to lighten the mood."
Eli's expression softened at your apology, realizing that you were just trying to lighten the mood. With a hint of amusement dancing in his eyes, he decided to play along with your joke, his humor dry as he quipped, "Well, I suppose if I'm going to be a mad scientist, I'll have to start practicing my evil laugh, won't I?"
Your smile widened at Eli's response, grateful that he wasn't holding your jest against you. The tension in the room dissipated as the two of you shared a moment of lighthearted banter, the heaviness of the situation momentarily forgotten.
But before the conversation could continue, the door to the hospital room swung open, revealing a nurse standing in the doorway. "I'm sorry to interrupt, but visiting hours are over," she announced, her voice gentle but firm. "I'll have to ask you to leave, [Your Name]."
You felt a pang of disappointment at the nurse's words, reluctant to leave Eli's side so soon. But you knew that you had to respect the rules of the hospital, no matter how much you wished to stay.
With a heavy sigh, you stood up from the chair beside Eli's bed, turning to face him with a small smile. "I guess I'll have to save my evil scientist jokes for next time," you remarked, trying to lighten the mood once more.
Eli's hand shot out, grabbing yours before you could take another step towards the door. Startled, you turned to look at him, surprised by the sudden gesture.
"Will you... will you visit me again tomorrow?" Eli asked, his voice tinged with vulnerability. "I know it's a lot to ask, but... I'd really appreciate the company."
You felt your heart skip a beat at Eli's request, a rush of warmth spreading through you at the thought of seeing him again. Despite his arrogant facade, there was something undeniably endearing about the vulnerability in his eyes, something that made you want to reach out and offer him the comfort he so desperately craved.
With a soft smile, you nodded in response to Eli's question. "Of course, Professor Michaelson," you replied, your voice filled with sincerity. "I'll come visit you again tomorrow."
Eli's grip on your hand loosened, his expression softening at your words. "Thank you," he murmured, a hint of gratitude shining in his eyes. "I'll be looking forward to it."
As you turned to leave the room, you couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation building within you. Despite the chaos and uncertainty of the situation, you found yourself eagerly counting down the minutes until you could see Eli again, eager to offer him the companionship and support he so desperately needed.
And as you walked out of the hospital room, a smile tugging at the corners of your lips, you couldn't shake the feeling that perhaps, in the midst of all the chaos, you had found something unexpected—a connection that had the potential to grow into something truly meaningful.
The next day, Eli waited anxiously in his hospital room, his eyes fixed on the clock ticking away on the wall. With every passing hour, his hope dwindled, replaced by a growing sense of anger and despair. Why would you come? You barely knew him, and he barely knew you. He should have been grateful for your visit yesterday, shouldn't he?
As the day wore on, Eli's frustration mounted, each minute stretching out like an eternity as he waited in vain for your arrival. With each passing hour, he felt the weight of his loneliness pressing down on him, suffocating him with its relentless grip. He cursed himself for his foolishness, for allowing himself to hope for something that was clearly never going to happen.
Finally, unable to bear the silence and solitude any longer, Eli turned away from the door and lay on his side, his back to the room. He felt pathetic, longing for a visit from someone he barely knew. This was pathetic, he scolded himself silently, his thoughts filled with self-loathing and bitterness.
But just as Eli was on the verge of giving up hope entirely, he heard a soft voice calling his name from the doorway. Startled, he turned to see you standing there, a hesitant smile on your lips as you held out a bouquet of flowers and three brightly colored balloons.
For a moment, Eli was speechless, his heart pounding in his chest as he struggled to process the sight before him. You had come, despite everything. A surge of gratitude washed over him, mingled with a sense of disbelief. Why would you go out of your way to visit him again?
As you stepped into the room, Eli found himself nodding dumbly, unable to find the words to express his gratitude. You smiled at him warmly, your eyes filled with kindness and compassion as you made your way to his bedside. "Mind if I come in?" you asked softly, your voice breaking through the haze of Eli's thoughts.
Eli shook his head, a faint smile tugging at the corners of his lips as he gestured for you to take a seat. "Please, come in," he replied, his baritone voice tinged with emotion.
As you settled into the chair beside his bed, Eli couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth spreading through him at your presence. Despite his initial doubts and insecurities, you had come back to visit him, offering him a glimmer of light in the darkness of his solitude.
"Thank you for coming," Eli murmured, his voice filled with genuine gratitude. "I... I didn't expect to see you again."
You smiled at him, reaching out to gently squeeze his hand in reassurance. "I promised I would, didn't I?" you replied, your voice soft but sincere. "And I always keep my promises."
Eli's heart swelled at your words, a rush of warmth spreading through him at the sincerity in your voice. For the first time in days, he felt a flicker of hope stirring within him, a glimmer of light breaking through the darkness of his despair.
As the two of you settled into conversation, the awkwardness of the situation melted away, replaced by an easy camaraderie and mutual understanding. Despite the brevity of your acquaintance, there was a connection between you that transcended the confines of the hospital room, a shared bond forged in the crucible of adversity.
As the days turned into weeks, Eli found himself growing accustomed to your presence in his hospital room. Despite his initial reservations, he couldn't deny the comfort and companionship you provided, even if it was accompanied by your playful teasing and irreverent humor.
Eli maintained his usual arrogance, his sharp wit and biting sarcasm ever-present, but somehow, it didn't seem to matter as much when you were around. You saw beyond his facade, recognizing the vulnerability and loneliness that lurked beneath his confident exterior. And in return, you became a facade for Eli, a shield against the harsh realities of his situation, a source of laughter and light in the darkness of his solitude.
Day after day, for two weeks, you came faithfully at the usual time, visiting Eli and spending quality time with him. You brought him books to read, engaging him in lively debates about science and literature. You even brought in a chess set, challenging him to matches that often ended in laughter and playful banter.
As the days passed, you grew closer to Eli, sharing stories and secrets, hopes and dreams. You learned about his childhood, his struggles and triumphs, his deepest fears and regrets. And in turn, Eli learned about you, your ambitions and aspirations, your quirks and idiosyncrasies.
But amidst the laughter and camaraderie, there was an unspoken tension lingering between you—a secret crush that neither of you dared to acknowledge aloud. You admired Eli for his intellect and charisma, his sharp wit and unwavering determination. And Eli, in turn, found himself drawn to you, captivated by your kindness and compassion, your irreverent humor and genuine warmth.
One day, as you sat beside Eli's hospital bed, engaged in a spirited debate about the merits of chess, you found yourself slipping up and calling him "mad scientist" in jest. Eli's hooked nose wrinkled in mock annoyance, his lips twitching with amusement as he grumbled, "I'll have you know, Miss [Your Name], that I am not a mad scientist. I am a highly respected Nobel laureate in the field of chemistry."
You couldn't help but laugh at Eli's mock indignation, knowing full well that he secretly relished the nickname you had given him. "Of course, Professor Snape," you replied, a mischievous glint in your eye. "I'll make sure to deduct points from Gryffindor as soon as you return to the university."
Eli spat dismissively, a playful twinkle in his eye as he retorted, "Ah, so you admit it. You're a Gryffindor through and through with that insolence."
You laughed out loud at Eli's response, the sound echoing through the hospital room as you shook your head in amusement. "Guilty as charged," you admitted, a smile tugging at the corners of your lips. "But you have to admit, Professor Snape, it suits you."
Eli rolled his eyes exaggeratedly, but there was a hint of affection in his expression as he gazed at you. "Well, if I must suffer the indignity of being compared to a fictional character, I suppose I could do worse than Severus Snape," he conceded, his baritone voice tinged with amusement.
And as the two of you settled back into your usual routine, the playful banter and easy camaraderie filling the room with warmth and laughter, you couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the unexpected bond that had formed between you and Eli. Despite his flaws and imperfections, there was something undeniably endearing about him—a complexity and depth that drew you in, leaving you eager to spend every moment you could by his side.
Days later, Eli was finally discharged from the hospital, his body still weak but his spirit buoyed by the knowledge that he was finally free from the confines of the sterile hospital room. With a newfound sense of purpose, he made his way back to the university, determined to reclaim his rightful place as the esteemed professor and Nobel laureate he knew himself to be.
As he stepped into the familiar confines of the classroom, Eli couldn't help but feel a surge of anticipation coursing through his veins. He straightened his shoulders, his hooked nose held high as he prepared to make his grand entrance, ready to bask in the adulation of his students and colleagues.
With a flourish, Eli stormed into the classroom, his baritone voice echoing off the walls as he demanded a round of applause for himself. "Ladies and gentlemen, I have returned!" he announced, his voice filled with arrogant confidence. "I expect nothing less than a standing ovation for my triumphant return."
The room erupted into applause, the sound filling the air with a cacophony of cheers and whistles as Eli reveled in the attention. He opened his arms wide, a self-satisfied smile playing on his lips as he basked in the adoration of his audience, soaking in the applause like a man starved for validation.
But amidst the sea of faces applauding his return, Eli's eyes landed on a familiar figure seated in the front row—the same figure who had visited him faithfully in the hospital, offering him companionship and support during his darkest hours.
With a discreet wink, Eli acknowledged you, a silent gesture of gratitude and appreciation for the unwavering support you had shown him. And as he watched the smile spread across your face, a warmth blossomed in his chest, filling him with a sense of belonging and acceptance he had never known before.
As the applause finally died down and the class settled into their seats, Eli launched into his lecture with renewed fervor, his voice commanding the attention of every student in the room. But amidst the complex equations and scientific theories, his thoughts kept drifting back to you, the one person who had stood by him when he needed it most.
And as he caught your eye once more, Eli couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude wash over him, knowing that he wasn't alone anymore. With you by his side, he felt invincible, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead with unwavering confidence and determination.
As the class drew to a close and the students filed out of the room, Eli lingered behind, waiting for you to approach him. And when you finally did, a smile tugging at the corners of your lips, he couldn't help but feel a surge of happiness welling up inside him.
"Thank you," Eli murmured, his voice tinged with sincerity. "For everything."
You smiled back at him, a warmth shining in your eyes as you replied, "Anytime, Professor Michaelson. Anytime."
And as the two of you stood there, sharing a moment of quiet understanding, Eli knew that no matter what the future held, he would always have you by his side, a beacon of light in the darkness, guiding him towards a brighter tomorrow.

i love ur writing! Can u cast ur friends as readers in any of ur series? And what series from another writer do u want to be in?
Hi! Thank you so much!!🥰 I love all this love I’ve been getting lately! I don’t know if I have enough series to cast all my friends on here, but I’m gonna try!! I love you for this challenging question, and to all my friends, I love you, pls don’t hate me for my decisions or if I accidentally leave someone out!🥺💗😅
- first and foremost, I think @krirebr would be Decks from The Rainmaker. Two tough ladies!
- @thezombieprostitute as the reader from Comfort Cuddles. I can just see her loving the comfort Curtis provides and wanting to return the favor, paying attention to exactly what he needs. They’d be so in sync
- controversial, but @biteofcherry is the reader in Saint or Sinner? And I can imagine it would’ve been double the feral if that were Steve.
-brandy. What’s the most feral thing I can think of?? @brandycranby would for sure be with Curtis in Drip…And Lick. Have her tongue all up in that business, I know it.
- @buckymorelikefuckme would probs be reader in Wait Until We Get Home. Two feral overstimulating babes who can’t get enough of each other😳
- @ronearoundblindly I think is Duchess from Bigger Houses. To me, she’s got it all together and deserves a love like a sweet, soft Ari who just wants the best and is constantly bettering himself to be deserving. In awe of the woman he pulled
- @sweater-daddiesdumbdork as Cherry in Handiwork. Homegirl is out doing her own thing and exploring, living life to the fullest, I hope. Curtis is there in support.
- @stargazingfangirl18 ohhhhh, Siri. Hmmmm, you like soft ran? Yeah, I thot so. Probs Ran’s sweetheart in Meet the Parents (and its smutty sequel👀)
- @jamneuromain would def be with phd candidate! Curtis. Need I say more? Two smart cookies in a supportive love
- I think @darsynia is Honeybee in YCMBWH. Incredibly witty and welcoming, ready to share
- @steviebbboi is probably Angel in the yet unreleased Guardian Angel. Very well-rounded and observant and encouraging
- @yenzys-lucky-charm is probs from Marshmallow Dream because he needs someone to appreciate him for all he is and keep him in line a little. It’s the unbridled Jake love that’s contagious
——-
Now, what series would I wanna be in? Um, try everything the aforementioned lovelies have written and more? I can’t choose! It’s not fair!! *starts buzzing and beeping* *explodes* *dies*

💙 / 💗 for any pato and whoever youd like for the little prompt!
Thank you so much for the prompt! I wasn't sure if you wanted both or me to pick one so I just kind of combine them. 😵‍💫 Hopefully that's okay!!
Also as usual this was longer than I meant to do, but fork found in kitchen. Palex as well because spoon also found in kitchen. 😭🤭
💙Drunken Kiss & 💗Slow Kiss
“Pato come here.” Amusement laced through Alex’s voice, even if he tried to sound firm. It was hard as he watched Pato dancing around with so much joy, not following the beat of the music even a little. Their sketchy looking parking lot bonfire- one of those shitty appliances you could get from freakin' Walmart just for this- was sputtering out and casting sharp contrasting lights all around their little circle. They danced over Pato as he moved, trying to lap at his heels and chase him to move faster. Alex was more scared he was going to fall over his own drunken feet though.
Felix quickly moved his legs in so Pato didn’t trip, laughing with Hinch at the sight of the young driver. “Alex you gotta just let him go,” Hinch said after a swig of beer. “He already won, if he trips and breaks an ankle that’s just a better chance for you at Iowa.”
That was a fair point. Alex didn’t want to win because his teammate couldn’t race though, where was the fun in that. “Come here,” he tried again, reaching a hand out as Pato stumbled past him.
“Rossiiiii~” The Mexican teased out, his accent strong and drawing out Alex’s name. His eyes were glassy as he looked over at him, a loopy smile painted along his cheeks. Pato was high and happy off his victory; it made him look so good. The smile was infectious, making it hard for Alex to be mad. First race win in two years… Pato was a killer- he deserved this.
It was almost enough to make Alex forget about his own two year drought. Almost.
Nolan and David were giggling, whispering to each other and pointing at him completely unsubtly. Alex knew he was getting clocked for losing that mask of indifference and boredom, but he didn’t care. He had watched Pato win. After everything that happened after the 500… How could Alex not be happy for him.
“Yes, yes, now stop before you-” Alex stood up, successfully grabbing Pato’s wrist as he swayed back to this side of the fire pit. He tried to wrangle the man, drunk off champagne and the beer that had followed, into his abandoned seat next to Alex’s but Pato had other plans.
As Alex sat down, Pato did too; side saddle over his knees.
Instead of throwing Pato off, Alex focused more on panicking over the fact that this chair was 100 percent going to fall apart right under his ass. He tried to protest the move, over the laughs of the other four men around them, but all of it was drown out by Pato’s soft happy giggles.
“Rossiii~” he trilled again, closer and quieter. “I won, Rossi.”
Unfortunately, Alex was not immune to sappy, sweet Pato. Especially when he was in Alex’s lap and warm and happy. “You did.”
“Heehee~ I won and got another trophy.”
“Yes you did,” the world around Alex was falling away as he stared so closely at Pato’s face, thrown into dark sharp lines from the night time shadows. He was gorgeous and so damn happy.
But Pato was always a champion at ruining the moment.
The younger tipped forward, making Alex throw out an arm so they didn’t completely flop back and hit the concrete. Pato’s lips smashed into his uncomfortably, with a loud accompanying ‘mwaaaah’ sound effect from him. “¡Gané!” he yelled, pulling back and now practically toppling them forward.
Alex was gonna strangle him when they were sober.
Felix was laughing behind his hand, David was on the ground cackling, and Nolan was bright red looking anywhere but at Alex and Pato. Hinch was the only one taking pity on Alex- but definitely still chuckling. “Alright, I think it's time for our race winner to head to bed then.”
While Pato stayed in his lap, nuzzling into Alex's neck and babbling Spanish at him, Alex and Hinch made a plan for cleaning up the space and getting the bus lot cleaned. Hinch would hold Alex's chairs and get them back to him later, while Felix would get Pato’s stuff and make sure his trophy wasn't lost to this drunken celebration.
Pato was a lost cause, but Alex made sure to wish the other's a good night, before hefting Pato up in his arms, desperately holding on for dear life as the driver just giggled and wrapped his legs around Alex’s middle. He took them to Pato's bus near by, letting himself in to walk the familiar hall to his bedroom.
Thankfully Pato let himself be dropped onto the bed, giggling like a lunatic still and trying to grab at the front of Alex’s shirt. “Rossiiii~” he sang again, making Alex roll his eyes, but still crawl into bed next to him. They were both already in casual clothes, long since changed from the race suits of the early afternoon. “Let’s do it. You can sleep with a race winner.” Pato’s hands were trying to grab anywhere they could on Alex, but the older shimmed away.
“Oh no. You’re going to bed. Maybe tomorrow morning.”
“Rossiiiii,” he whined, but was ignored as Alex reached to his nightstand and got Pato a water. He insisted the younger drink it, while he sorted them out, untangling the covers to get around them. Settled in, Alex placed a hand on Pato’s hip, and moved them back close together.
“I’m very proud of you, baby, but you need to sleep, okay?” After Pato nodded, pouting, Alex rewarded him with a kiss to his forehead. “You did so well today.” He kissed his cheek. His nose. Then leaned in to kiss his lips. It was much slower than out at the fire. Soft, unhurried, and letting Alex take a minute to savor the noises Pato made against his own mouth. The little licks he gave Alex trying to deepen it were nice, but Alex didn’t let him take it too far. Just soft, hands holding each other gently. Until finally Pato’s movements got slower, his hand clutching at the front of Alex’s shirt uncurled a little. Alex hummed against his mouth and pulled back to see his eyelids drooping.
“Good night, Pato,” he huffed, giving his little race winner another kiss to his forehead.

Oh this was a cruel question, but very clever answer and I actually think this woybe my order as well 😬
Q. Okay, you have to answer, no chickening out! List the main cast in order from favorite to least favorite. And then tell us why. It's HARD and I struggled big time with it!!
A. Yikes, anon. This is a mean question. For the sake of my sanity I'm going to go with just the original main cast. And I'm going to cheat, slightly, lol. I'm going to rate them as a pair so my order would be:
1. Buck and Eddie
2. Hen and Chimney
3. Bobby and Athena
I have been a Buck girlie since season one. My sunshine boy deserves the world. Eddie baby trapped me and Buck when he waltzed in in season 2 with the cutest kid the world has ever seen. He brought with him a brooding persona who thinks he has to stay strong and take care of everyone else but desperately wants someone to take care of him. My man wants and deserves to be romanced. And I need to see Buck romance him. They share a singular braincell. Can communicate without words. And, if the show is smart, the greatest television slow burn ever. They are the Buckley Diaz family and they deserve their happily ever after. ADORE 💗
Hen and Chimney are the ultimate ride or die besties who are both too smart for their own damn good but occasionally share a singular brain cell and it's a joy to watch. Watching Chimney grow from the insecure unhappy man he was in season 1 to the badass husband and father he is today has been amazing. Everyone should have a Hen in their lives. The world would be a much better place if we all had her wisdom and judgement in our lives.
Bobby and Athena are the perfect fire fam parents. Bobby basically being Buck's dad is everything. Athena being a one woman badass parade is awesome. My only nugget of complaint is that the show leans very heavily into the misery with the two of them. Especially with Bobby. Responsible for the death of his wife and kids, along with many others. Alcoholic. Abusive, miserable childhood, and suicidal. It's a lot. It's why hos friendship with Michael was so good, he was allowed to be goofy. The Athena thing I get. She's Angela Bassett, they want to show that off, and they should. The problem is that certain writers, ahem Kristen, write her way over the top and some of her scenes can kind of get ridiculous as a result. I love them. I just wish the show would understand that they don't need to constantly be buried in misery.
There you have it anon. That's my list and why. I have zero doubt that it pisses off someone and I'm sure they will let me know about it, lol.
Thank you Nonny! :)
That is so difficult, but I mostly agree with Ali here about the order. Although I would put Eddie on top for sure. He is my first and biggest love. It took me a while to warm up to Buck in season 1, but I finally did and haven't looked back since. ;)
What a great question that was.
IMPORTANT! Please don't repost this ask and/or a link that leads straight to my Tumblr account on Twitter or any other social media. Thank you!
Heads up! For anyone who is giving me the shifty eyes for reposting Ali's updates instead of reblogging. Read this.

SUCCESS #2 - November
Success #2 -- Everything I manifested in November
November is when I started this blog, and also ACTUALLY started applying all of the things I learned started taking affirming and thinking in my favor seriously instead of just sporadically manifesting random things here and there because I was too lazy to put in the work. I never had issues w wavering, but I was just inconsistent as fuck (Hell, I'm still inconsistent with posting on my own damn blog, yall can't possibly think I'm consistent with affirming!) So here's everything I manifested…
Manifested back my old bestfriend/ex-gf after 4 years no contact She came back, apologized for mistreating me and told me basically everything I affirmed for LMAO. and that's one of the things that gave me faith in the law because ik this girl would rather die than ever apologize to someone. Now that she's back I'm manifesting away her friends and leaving her broke down and in shambles because I'm evil and believe in revenge. yall dont know the type of bullsh*t this woman put me through. Idc if everyone is you pushed out, some people don't deserve forgiveness 🤓
My mom is walking again I successfully revised her shattered ankle without the weeks of recovery time the doctors "thought" she needed. She's literally walking around just fine now and doesn't need to wear her cast or whatever that big bulky thing was.
Manifested my brother out of jail on a time crunch Now I'm not sharing my family's whole drama online but… yea. he's out.
No more social anxiety, cured one of my mental health issues I don't wanna trauma dump or go into too much detail about my life but, yes. for anyone also working on mental health, it can be done and you won't regret trying. Life actually feels like it has meaning now and for once in all my years of life, I can actually say that I'm happy. 💗
Stopped nail biting COMPLETELY! I used to struggle with nail biting for YEARSSS whether it was out of stress, anxiety, whatever the fuck. but now it's completely gone. my nails are no longer STUBS, like theyre actually long and healthy. I didn't even affirm for this so I kinda think it came with improving my mental health since I didn't really have the issues that *triggered* nail biting anymore yk?. I'm actually the happiest about this result like yall don't understand how long I've wanted the natural french tips look 💀
[TW: Discussion of binging, discussion of food]
6. WL + Maintained weight loss! I literally changed my entire way of viewing food, and subsequently fixed my lose->gain->lose-> gain again cycle. Ever since learning LOAss If I binged I would be like: I just have a fast metabolism so that's why I'm so hungry my body is burning everything I eat so fast! and I would also tell myself calories don't matter because food is only energy. Basically, reminding myself of what Abdullah told Neville: "If you ate as I did, you would be poisoned because of your belief." (heavily paraphrased because my memory is terrible.. yes I'm working on it 😭) and it keeps me from feeling guilty abt eating. I ate SOOO MUCH food yesterday and I mean SO MUCH. I ate an entire box of cheese sticks, two large chicken sandwiches, 2 pb & j sandwiches total throughout the day, and half a tub of icecream for dessert… Yeah I was going crazy.. to the point I looked 5 months pregnant at the end of the night. Fast forward to today, my stomach is back to flat and back to normal as if it never happened. Food literally will not effect you if you believe it doesn't! This was my main focus too so I'm very proud of myself :)
Moral of the story is, never give up.
YOU decide what happens in your reality and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. There were times when I didn't want to affirm, so I didn't. If I felt lazy then I didn't consciously affirm or listen to subliminals, I just relaxed and went on about my day. I never made affirming feel like a chore. There were times when I had doubts too or thought it wouldn't work. I especially thought it wouldn't work for my mental health but I just affirmed anyway. When you're having resistance literally just know there's nothing bad that can possibly happen from believing in yourself and thinking in your favor. Just DO IT. Persist no matter what and you WILL get what you want!
I'll try to do better with posting my successes (but only ones that actually meant something big to me tbh. I don't see a point in sharing every little thing unless it was me overcoming some type of struggle) and answering messages but I refuse to download the tumblr app so yall just gotta see and hear from me whenever I feel like loading up this website. I'm just enjoying & living my life rn girl I used to dream about times like this and now I finally have them 😭

ANAAAAAAAAAA
It's been so long since I sent you an ask (I blame it on my new job)
KANALIA IS A MASTERPIECE that's all I wanted to say thank you very much for gracing the world with your writing I love the way your brain works
Also also also the fact that OC has a baby with hobi???? love it

I'm already imagining yeona and lil bub playing in the palace gardens in the future 🥺 perhaps accompanied by other tiny siblings hehehe
Okay that's all I wanted to say also HYERI DESERVES THE WORLD I TEARED UP AT THE PART ABOUT HER HUSBAND HOW DARE YOU
Yeah I love you that's all i hope your pillows are always fluffed up and your coffee is always just right and your clothes are always comfy ok good night folks and bless you once again
Wait I do have a question - is namjoon okay with the queen's and hobi's arrangement? bc he obviously knows, right? (does he even have the moral ground to stand on considering he had a mistress first lol)
Okay now I'm done good night muah 💗
HELLO SWEET AVA 💕💕💕
you nailed a lot of your observations 😉 The King is a lot of things but he is by no means a dummy.
He’s been suspicious of those two sniffing around one another for a minute and if we’re being 💯 it was Hoseok’s vehement defense of the Queen when he realized the King was being unfaithful that likely sealed the deal in his mind.
but, but, but.
The King has made it very clear that what’s most important to him is that everything appear smooth on the surface. He has his own secret to worry about and he doesn’t love the Queen, so there’s no real issue of feeling cast aside.
However that could and would change into something very messy if any part of the equation were to make both arrangements obvious or bring about a scandal.

Hey Autumn ,
So sorry to bother you but this has been plaguing me all week . So imagine a yandere Centurion , his mother was a noble woman and his father a prostitute , but he has deluded himself into thinking that he is a son of Mars . Obviously his birth brought great shame onto his mother's family and she was promptly married of to someone of lower rank , all of his family wanted him dead save for his grandfather (a former general and senator) who raises the boy and eventually sends him to the provinces to serve as a legionary . The boy soon becomes a man and eventually a Centurion and most likely to be promoted higher .
One day after winning a great victory his general returns to Rome with the yandere centurion and the rest of his legions for a triumph . While the yandere Centurion is marching with his men he catches sight of the most beautiful woman he has ever seen , he thinks she must be Venus herself . He comes later to find out from his grandfather that she is the daughter of a senator and of an ancient noble bloodline . That does not stop him , nor does his low birth . He knows one day he will become a general , a second Scipio perhaps , a true conquerer, a true Roman .
She is a daughter of Venus and I son of Mars , he thinks to himself as he sheathes his sword . She is a good virtuous Roman woman , what better reward for someone who serves the Republic as faithfully as I ?
(Sorry , I know this is badly written. And sorry for bothering you .)

Tumblr media
I literally love this, thank you for sending it in, much love 💗.
Sorry for answering late 🤦🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️😭🙄
Don’t feel bad! Bother me as much as you want. And me too! I love a commanding man in armor :)
But prior to your ask, I actually have never heard of a Roman centurion, so I had to do some researching ^^^
Also I love the switch of roles with the parents, because almost always it’s the woman who’s the prostitute, this switch of roles is kinda refreshing.
I’m sucker whenever the Yandere is a illegitimate child, especially during those times. Because it’s a big deal during that time, and honestly nobody(mostly nobles) will never let you live this down ever. Especially if he manage to sneak his way into nobility, they would always bring up his “true” status.
I do love a rags to riches story. Especially if it’s a weak and lanky peasant boy, with sprinkle of trauma, lack of influential status, random ass strength and the brooding personality he’s leading himself to be the strongest and the most powerful of them all (not to sound crinegy 😭)
When you sent me ask asking what a yandere Centurion would be like, I feel like what you had to say would be wayyyy better to whatever I came up with.
“She is a daughter of Venus and I son of Mars”
I literally love this so much!!! Like it’s so poetic. Like he feels as if them being together or them getting together is fated.
I do love the delusional hard working men. Like for someone so strong and does everything he’s suppose to do, if not more??? He DESERVES her, she is his before she got to meet him officially. She is his before she can cast her gaze on him. She is his before she can form her own opinions and thoughts regarding him. She is him before she can fall in love with him the way he fell for her.
I can see like raised with a golden spoon in her mouth. She was spoiled and pepped over even before her birth. She’s surrounded of servants, who carry out her wishes and needs on her whim. She probably grew up in a lonely life. Mother died giving birth to her. Her father exchanging his time to be a good father to her with gifts and dozens of her servants ready to cater to her wants and needs.
I think her getting with the Yandere would be consensual for the most part. Because he is a man that have traveled to vast lands, far and long. He have seen and experience things that couldn’t be describe. She sees his adventurous and lively life, and wants that. She dosen’t want to be lock in her house no more, she dosen’t want to a “lady” 24/7 everyday for the rest of her life. With the Yandere she sees a new life to begin, the Yandere sees a good ending to a bad start.

hiI just dumping mk1 story thoughts rq
good:
mileena 💗 EASILY the standout for me. she was already my favourite character but this story almost felt like a love letter to mileena fans cause she got such amazing treatment. seeing how far her character has come? i love this sm for her. also really liked the family dynamic between her, kitana and sindel. every scene with her and tanya was a joy too
sindel 💜 adore her and everything she does. love that she got another scene where she just effortlessly demolishes the whole cast like in mk9. she needs at least 1 scene like this in each game moving forward
feel like the whole female cast got a LOT more love and attention compared to other mk games
liu kang turning all the villains from the last universe into absolute losers has to be top 5 funniest things ever
huge fan of how they humanised reptile and baraka. hoping they flesh out more of the side characters in future games
the kronika fake out was great and i genuinely didnt see it coming
kenshi was v hot
bad:
im so tired of multiverse/timeline plotlines. i was hoping the story would be more grounded after mk11 but they actually doubled down. i never wanna hear the word "timeline" ever again
related to the last point, but didnt care for the final act at all. it was like they wanted their own mcu endgame kind of battle but i just mentally checked out it felt so mindless to me
kitana really got sidelined imo she deserved more
HATE that they killed sindel off so early into the reboot wth

I want to know everything about Laergliriel, I'm curious, also loved your thranduil fic it's so beautiful 🥺💗
Thank you so much! 💚💚💚 I'm always elated when someone shows interest in my OCs... and especially Laergliriel. I probably couldn't fit *everything* about her in one post (she's lived a long life, after all), but I'll put the basics under the cut.
Most of this information is (or will be) further fleshed out in my fic Where The Heart Is, where I explore home as a theme through her perspective, or in future fics. She also directly appears in any work tagged with “Thranduil's Wife” in my A World of our Own series.
CW: slavery, mental illness
Tumblr media
FIRST AGE
With Angband as her birthplace, Laergliriel is one of the elves Morgoth enslaved during the Years of the Trees. Her parents were captive wood-elves from the Rhovanion area (also known as Mirkwood or the Woodland Realm in later years). Thralls can't have names, as that would imply that they’re people deserving of free will and rights, and a revolt is the last thing any dark lord wants. Instead, she has a number as identification, #70075, which is tattooed on her bicep.
She's also put under a powerful subjugation spell not long after her birth. That spell makes her obey every order given by her masters until it’s reversed, and it also leaves very obvious scars all over her body. To someone who doesn't practice dark sorcery, these markings appear as random Tengwar letters. After escaping Angband, she keeps these scars covered by wearing high necklines and gloves. After all, in First Age Beleriand it’s much more socially acceptable to have an unusual fashion sense than to be an escaped thrall (therefore, a potential spy).
She doesn't have a name until after her escape from Angband. Laergliriel means "daughter of the summer's song". She also has a (secret) Quenya name: Aiwelindë, which means "little songbird". Maglor came up with both of them, and he's practically the only one who ever calls her by her Quenya name. (There may or may not be a fic about how she got her names in my drafts folder.)
From a young age, Laergliriel proves to be talented at both armed combat and sorcery. Her training in Angband focuses on the latter, and she learns how to use forbidden magic under Sauron’s tutelage. After her escape, she focuses on fighting, but she still can’t resist casting the occasional spell or two… often with disastrous consequences. Such sorcery is unnatural for elves to use, after all, and just because they can doesn’t mean that they should.
It's in Angband that Laergliriel meets Maedhros, whom she befriends, and they remain close until the end of his life. Despite that, she never participates in any of the kinslayings. Instead, she's more focused on fighting Morgoth, their common enemy. She’d rather never have to kill another elf unless in self-defense.
Even in the First Age, there’s always time for a little romance. Laergliriel develops a relationship with Maglor pretty early on, but things obviously get complicated down the line. Despite the best intentions of everyone involved, the relationship ends. This incident leads to Laergliriel becoming very cynical about matters of the heart. After all, if you can love someone with your entire heart and spirit and it's still not enough to make things work, then what's the damn point?
She meets Elrond and Elros when Maglor invites her to move in with him in Amon Ereb. Being one of the very few adults around who didn’t participate in the destruction of their home, she soon becomes a safe person for the boys, who end up adopting her because, according to them, she was taking too long to adopt them herself. After the twins grow up and everyone leaves Amon Ereb, the three of them exchange letters until only Elrond remains.
Tumblr media
SECOND AGE
After the sinking of Beleriand and the disappearance of Maedhros and Maglor (she refuses to believe they’re dead just yet despite Elros’s insistence that they must be and Elrond choosing a more agnostic perspective), Laergliriel wanders until she eventually reaches Far Harad. It ends up becoming one of her favorite places in the world.
She gets to see a good majority of the region while working as a guard, escorting caravans through the treacherous desert. Eventually, she settles in Bozisha-Dar, the biggest city in Far Harad, and establishes herself as an artist (but not before trying almost every job on the market first, as the bills need to get paid somehow).
Living among mortals is difficult when you’re an elf, however. They grow old and die, and there’s much heartbreak to be had in that. Elrond’s long campaign to get her to move closer so that he can at least see her every now and then finally bears fruit, and Laergliriel eventually settles in the Woodland Realm.
Miraculously, her parents’ home is still intact, and her maternal grandmother is alive. Laergliriel turns the room that was meant to be her nursery into an art studio. Otherwise, she’d never even set foot in there, and she assumes her parents wouldn’t want that.
That’s when Laergliriel meets Thranduil, and the two of them become close friends pretty quickly. Over the centuries, their relationship becomes extremely emotionally intimate, and feelings develop on both sides.
Being the most oblivious person in the universe, Laergliriel just dismisses it as one-sided pining and gaslights herself into believing that Thranduil would never look at her in such a way. After all, she isn't a royal, she's way too old for him, and he'd certainly be pissed if he ever found out that she used to be in love with one of the people responsible for destroying his childhood home. Not to mention that, at this point, she’s working as his personal guard, so any romantic relationship between them would be really inappropriate.

THIRD AGE
After the War of the Last Alliance, Thranduil becomes the Elvenking. It’s a given that he’s going to marry soon, as he’s put it off long enough already. Laergliriel decides that she's going to move back to Bozisha-Dar because, if she stays, there’s only going to be heartbreak for her. Besides, there’s been some rumors that Sauron’s Haradrim followers are still active even though he’s been defeated. Someone must stop them.
However, Thranduil confessing that he's been in love with her all along and asking her to marry him is what keeps Laergliriel from following through. They go from friends to spouses overnight, and even though it takes some time to adjust to their new relationship (as well as the metaphysical aspects of elven marriage), they're both very happy with it. Really, they only regret not having done this sooner.
Eventually, they welcome Legolas into the world. He looks a lot like Thranduil, but he takes after Laergliriel in terms of personality. They’re really excited to watch him grow up, and they plan to expand the family as soon as he’s more independent. They want a big, happy family, but at the same time they don’t want to miss any of their babies’ milestones. After all, they grow up so fast!
Unfortunately, Thranduil’s wellbeing is intimately connected to the wellbeing of his forest. As the Shadow infects Greenwood the Great, he falls gravely ill, and each time is worse than the last. Both the growing sickness of the forest and Thranduil’s multiple brushes with death affect Laergliriel a lot. Her mental health suffers, and she makes some very questionable decisions that are effective in preventing the complete breakdown of her kingdom. But at what cost?
She dies while Legolas is very young after slaying a Balrog in Gundabad. What's remarkable about that is that Laergliriel doesn't pass immediately, as is the case with other Balrog-slayers. In fact, she survives long enough to return to the Woodland Realm after the duel, though she is gravely injured and ends up passing not long after. Most sing the praises of the chief royal healer for this miracle. A small minority, however, suspects that this is no miracle at all, and that something shady’s going on with the Elvenqueen’s death…

And there we have it! An overview of Laergliriel, as concise and spoiler-free as I could manage.

THE MORE YOU GIVE!!!!! i read the new chapter yesterday and reread it this morning i love this story so much. I'm loving the progression for the reader how shes coming out if her shell more and more and standing up for herself a bit more it's such a sweet coming of age story.
Also love how her relationship with May and Heather is actually very complex like they have all of this history together but lately theyve been growing apart and now with Eddie a lot of what the reader felt was okay is cast in a new light??
Oh and the moment in the van during the last scene where they're both said something similar to I've been missing you all this time killed me lmao they're so sweet together so clearly either in love or close to it despit3 the short time they've spent dating.
i loved this chapter a lot 💗
Thank youuu!!! So glad you're enjoying it!!! Yeahhhh, I want it to be reader realising how she deserves to be treated and some other coming of age things I won't say cause spoilers. But certainly she has a v complicated relationship with her pals.
I mean big surprise everyone my reader/oc has a lot of my traits lmao but I was (am) shy so particularly in highschool I know I let myself be treated questionably by people cause I was just like well, its not like I'll talk to anybody else, right? But Eddie's just a force, going nope I wanna be kindsoftlovely to you. Ahhh, the yearning.
Thank you Carly Rae Jepsen for the inspiration, queen. Also yeah I'm incapable of writing slow burn. Nobody ask me about the timeline of this fic. I have a Halloween chapter near but if we go by them meeting at the start of the school year it's like two months and no way everything happens in two months so suspend your disbelief everyone. But yeah, they're in it.
Thank you verrrry much thank you!!! I'm sosos glad to hear you're enjoying mwah mwah <333

"You're staring," you muttered fidgeting with the hem on the blanket that was currently resting on your lap. Percy hummed in acknowledgement before reaching over you to snag the open bottle of water to the left of you. You scrunched your brows, jerking your hand to his direction grab it back. "You can literally take two steps to get your own," you stated, taking the drink from Percy's grasp making the liquid slosh over the rim in the process. Resulting in getting your shirt wet.
"It's literally two steps," he mimicked, leaning back onto his hands while you huffed in frustration from the uncomfortable feeling of water sticking to your skin. Patting down yourself with the blanket you looked over to Percy. The fire's light casted a shadow over his face. You grew into a light trance as the flames danced across his features. However that dreamy stare grew into a glare as his gaze met yours.
"You've fought literal gods. I think you can handle walking a few feet." He rolled his eyes at your comment, shoving your shoulder with his. You returned the gesture except with twice the force. Percy ignored it and instead went into his heart felt declaration.
"That's the thing, Y/n. I'm tired. I think after everything I've been through, I deserve a little gratitude. Even an action of thanks."
"And me showing you gratitude by giving you my water is all that you need to fix everything?"
"Well... yeah." It was your turn to roll your eyes.
"No." An offended expression took hold on his face as silence casted over the atmosphere.
That was until he lunged for the drink. Making you lurch back in protest. Your water falling from your grip at the attempt The liquid spilled out onto the ground. A frown took hold of your features as you looked back at Percy. He winced back from your stone cold eyes.
"Get me a new one-"
"Yeah, yeah, sure, sure, sure."
ty for requesting :))))))

STILL ADJUSTING to the fact that my favourite "side character/second lead" is now the LEAD in a mainstream Netflix drama 🥲
Was so used to seeing him onscreen for just few minutes that I'm still like "OH HE'S HERE, OH HE'S BACK" like 30 x each episode lmfaooo 😭
#dodosolsollalasol was also good but 🥲 the ratings of this drama is making my chest full of pride 🥲
Jae is doing SUCH AN AMAZING job, i laugh, i cry, i get pissed off, i get heartbroken multiple times each episode and i think that's amazing
The rest of the cast and production is also amazing 😭 hoping for a satisfactory ending 🤞
Our multitalented amazing amazing young master - big little tiger 🐯🤍
So so glad that he's finally getting the recognition he deserves 😭💗✨
The OSTs are also 👌

Speaking on Nice Things:
A Tuff Mallow update 8/1/22
Have you taken the time to look back over the past three years? I hope when and if you do, you congratulate yourself for making it through. It has been a very difficult time for so many. I'm glad you're here and I hope you're well 💗.
I had to look back over the past three years and realize I'm doing way more than I thought I was. I've accomplished more than I realized I have and now that I'm revving up to share things with everyone, I'm actually proud and humbled as to where life and game development has taken me.
First of all,
Let's discuss The Closet Door! MANnnnn THIS GAME! I have so many emotions about it. It started as a little side project, and already it has grown into a full sized game with two mini holiday DLCs planned (I already finished one of them and plan to release it publicly this fall! 👀) I spent a lot of time fixing and trimming and adding script, CGs, sprites and redesigning the UI. I'm finally at a place where I'm like OK. TIME TO CLEAN THIS BABY UP AND RELEASE IT IN THE WILD. So I'm plugging any holes in my script and already adding assets to the code- we're in the final countdown now and I'm full of so many emotions about it- I can't even express them all. Just know a lot of love has gone into Faun and the gang. I truly love all of it for everything I could give it.
Coming Soon page is up so you know it's on now!
The demo page is gone, but the official full release page is up and ready for the countdown!
The next thing that may surprise you is that I am halfway through production of a related game as well. This game is called Lake of Reflection, and it is shaping up to be a visual novel/ interactive fiction hybrid that stars two unseeming protagonists finding their way through helping and healing on the heels of tragedy and trauma. I'm in the process of hosting a casting call, as there will be partially voiced lines in this story, which takes a slightly different direction from my usual storytelling design. This small game will most likely be released sometime late 2022 and only range about 20-30k words. I'll be sure to update everyone on the progress.

Also!! Sunset Memory Sunrise Promise is still on the rise in my dev tasks! It's already turning into less of a lone project and more of a collaboration involving so many talented individuals I am fortunate to meet let alone work with! I'm really excited to be moving towards the development of this game. I have wanted to work on this game so long and it has taken a lot of learning about myself as a developer and storyteller to get to this point. As The Closet Door finally comes to a full release, I will be actively working on production for SMSP with gusto and introducing you guys to all the amazing talent that will be responsible for ultimately bringing it to life. Keep your stations tuned in! There's so much to see coming up!
Tumblr media
...Not what I meant by so much to see Demetri...
We have come so far
And it keeps getting better! There will be some pretty cool media creations releasing with insight to the games and their backstories, so I will definitely ping you on those as soon as they drop!
I'm also sitting down to revamp the Patreon and give it the professional love it has deserved all along. I can't wait to show you guys what Patreon and Kofi will look like starting this month 💕🔥💯
And uh... There's a comic I have been designing? And plan to release on Tuff Mallow website- (which is a thing!) as soon as the website is up and ready to share with the public- still working on responsiveness and fluid design that says "Marshmallow, but A Tough one". When I do, I can give you more info about these guys and the shenanigans they get into!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Your Wish or Mine~ (details soon!)
Thanks for sticking around and I promise to keep doing my best to create and release the works you guys have been inspiring me to make over the years. Things are about to move fast and I hope I can keep up! Either way, I'm better for the ware having you guys along for the ride with me!!
Stay awesome and I've got more posts coming up!
