anyway i think the funniest way to hc teru as trans is to have him not know that there are trans people other than him. he woke up one day when he was 11 and was like oh of course i can be a boy i am the main character and most special person and then he just attacked anyone who said he couldn’t with his psychic powers.
#even when he gets his character development he’s still kind of like#but i’m the only person who’s ever gone from being a girl to a boy. so i’m still special#mob coming out as a girl would’ve blown his mind if he didn’t think she was so special#actually the only trans people he knows are all psychics. it’s going to take him a while to figure this out#except reigen ig. but if i remember correctly teru is the only character to never imply that he knows reigen isnt actually psychic#so i think teru does believe him bc he thinks mob believes him and he has substituted his own beliefs for mob’s bc he doesn’t understand#that in order to become a better person he has to actually develop his own principles and not just adopt those of someone he considers to be#essentially morally perfect without really understanding what they stand for#but that’s a more serious post#anyway i think that one day mob is discussing her hormones and teru is like man it would be so cool if they did a boy one 💔#and mob is like. what. and also at some point during this conversation teru reveals he’s unvaccinated (his parents forgot)#and ritsu stands at least 2m away from him at all times until he gets all his vaccines#whole post in the notes but whatever#mp100#teruki hanazawa#mob psycho 100

I may just be insane about this but does this feel like foreshadowing to anyone else. In this scene we see her trying to replicate the skill of someone else (her mother) and failing to achieve the same results that they would. That feels really specific and it's driving me insane.
Like, we see this come back again in the aftermath of the trial. Diana has repeatedly voiced her admiration for Wolfgang's ability to speak and inspire those around him in the darkest of times, saying she wished she could do the same. We see her pour her heart out and give her own speech to inspire the others-- except the reaction that she receives is cold and miserable, far from the newly kindled warmth and hope Wolfgang was able to create every time.
Diana is a chameleon. Her whole thing is to reflect, to replicate and to adapt. Do you think that this small scene where she tries to make a butterfly out of her hairclips-- a butterfly, an animal associated with transformation and change-- and the end result looking nothing like what she wanted it to be is a metaphor for her future character arc? She has declared that she wants to follow in Wolfgang's footsteps, wants to become something new, but do you think that by the end she ends up being the furthest thing from him? Do you think that by the end she will be left distorted, fundamentally wrong? Do you think that if she could see what she will become in the future, the only emotion that she can muster is horror as she gazes at a stranger that's supposed to be herself? That by the end, she won't be able to recognise herself, because there's no "her" left anymore?
#project eden's garden#p:eg#p:eg spoilers#diana venicia#wolfgang akire#it makes me think of her in the imitation artwork#the way she is more “normal” than everyone else. that she's smiley and friendly and colourful but her eyes are completely vacant. glassy#everyone else's ranges from horrifying to morbidly cryptic to depressing yet they all feel infinitely more “real” than she does#they say the eyes are the window to the soul yet hers are mirrors that only reflect the people in her sight#and in one you can see her face. expression hardened and determined with purple eyes similar to wolfgang.#and then the one where you see diana look at her imitation self covering her mouth in horror at what she sees when she looks into its eyes#and it's so unbelievably similar to when she watched wolfgang get electrocuted to death#and it feels to me like it's emphasising how his death will be her spiral into losing herself entirely failing to be like him#which makes sense. because she has an idealised image of who wolfgang was#wolfgang was someone who was also scared. who also struggled. who had his own insecurities and fears and secrets#wolfgang had parts about himself he hated and tried to be a better person than he thought he was presently#and he has an idealised image of his own mum. dedicated his life to be like HER#she chases after an idealised picture modelled after another idealised picture unaware that the standard she's pursuing never existed#diana corruption arc i can feel it#i can see her character going downhill mentally from here and honestly i'd love that but i would be upset cuz she deserves better#but i feel like her story will be one of transformation gone horribly wrong#which makes her such an interesting antagonist and contrast to how damon's development will likely go#anywho just rambling here in the tags don't mind me much#i just really like diana and i don't rant about her enough XD#momento rambles

yeah so yoshiki is falling in love with 'hikaru'. that's what the whole manga is about fellas
#to be clear i think saying he's “in love” with 'hikaru' is a bit of an oversimplification#because his feelings for the real hikaru definitely played a role in their relationship development at first. and also i think its still#kind of early to call it capital L love. i dont think yoshiki is reallyyyyy aware of it yet#but the entire manga has been about yoshiki processing his grief over hikaru and slowly coming to perceive and recognize#the fact that 'hikaru' is his own being#likewise that is a journey 'hikaru' has also been going on this whole time#trying to differentiate between his own feelings/memories (and even trying to understand what feelings ARE) and the real hikaru's#at this point i do believe 'hikaru' and hikaru are 100% 2 separate entities in yoshiki's mind#hence he wants 'hikaru' back (who he perceives as someone going through a similar struggle re: his sexuality/otherness/etc)#like he truly values and cares for 'hikaru' and doesn't want to see him harmed or have him disappear#you can def argue this is a coping mechanism to deal with his grief about the real hikaru#but i think its more complicated than that. i think there are some serious real feelings in there for the eldritch horror teen boy#hikaru ga shinda natsu#the summer hikaru died#hgsn#.txt

i was rereading some water 7 chapters, and the introduction of kaku was so funny. i love when luffy and zoro are using the same braincell even at a distance
luffy meeting kaku, ch. 325 "usopp?"
and zoro meeting kaku, ch 326 "oh, just usopp"
vs. Egghead arc and meeting kaku again post time skip - with nothing really changing of how luffy perceives some people (ch. 1078)
and also kaku meeting zoro on the sunny on Egghead prior the scene above and their lines echoing the first meeting on Water 7 - "I'm sorry. Did I wake you?" vs here "Who dares to disturb my nap?"

Absolutely thrilled that David has finally gone to see Michael in Nye tonight, but potentially controversial opinion: I'm almost hoping we don't get a recreation of the Macbeth photo.
For one thing, I think the NT is too big for it and doesn't have the same atmosphere as the Donmar, so I'm not even sure the photo would be possible from a logistical standpoint. But I'd also rather David just be left alone and get to enjoy the play and Michael. I know we're all hyped up for a potential photo at the end of the night, but I'd rather it be from them and something they've chosen to share more than anything else. Just my opinion, at least...

I have just seen a video on why video game characters need to be more "feminine" (which, it turns out, means "has emotions and can be soft") and it listed f!Eivor as a bad example and, not to suddenly make it 2021 again but...Eivor? EIVOR?
#she doesn't say 'YES I AM SAD SEE ME SOFTLY AND AESTHETICALLY CRY ABOUT IT'#but she does Feel her feelings#one of her MOST. NOTABLE. TRAITS is her sense of compassion#and her open mind#and she encourages OTHER characters to feel their feelings#like the one quest where she encourages the grieving man to cry#like i get it you didn't have the attention span to play a hundred and fifty hour game but don't bring it up if you can't stand the heat#in all fairness: her development as a character can be muted due to the excessive and asynchronous setup of the game#and I have my own Thoughts on how the game handles women in general#BUT. If we're defining 'femininity' in part as 'has Gooey Feelings and Shows Them...' YES. SHE DOES.#girl has a full on crisis of faith at the end of the game#even if Ubisoft's sexism meant that they never invested in her as a female protagonist like they SHOULD HAVE#and then promptly dialed back with a game about a man

#liazrad talks#I'm the self proclaimed CEO of Allister#you can always count on me to drop art of him randomly 💜#he's been my blorbo since the moment i saw him five years ago...#it took me a bit to start posting fan art of him bc i was being a swsh hater at first but god. he bewitched me.#i tried to avoid swsh because of the glaring issues with it and its development but god. Allister. Allister....#that little guy has cost me nearly $400 since he gained blorbo status. and that number will increase. GUARANTEED!!!#i need to acquire cards of him as well as perhaps a poster#and a keychain if i can find one from a decent artist#....or.....i could make my own keychain...#did you know?? sometimes i look at his rare league card and literally cry because he's so cute. this is abnormal behavior for me#sometimes. you find a character that resonates with you so much that they stick with you forever#i think Allister might just be that character for me. my other favs change but Allister is always there#even when I'm deranged about other shit i keep him in the back of my mind#i feel like i might end up like my grandma who has a life long obsession with The Beatles. except I'll love Allister.

i tend to jump around between different ideas, some of them at the same time and some seperately but i DO genuinely really like ragapom!!! its SO cute to me and i think that what the two have is gonna build in a meaningful way in the future and its fun to explore the different ways that could go!!!! its the main ragatha ship i draw and HAVE drawn (though i dont know how much of it ive posted actually...)

really the only thing i miss about occasionally browsing reddit is seeing posts from all the ftm and meta and phallo subreddits and so on. seeing that kind of anatomy sprinkled in everywhere throughout my day of content consumption and it feeling so (personally and publically) normalized and desired in those spaces really helped me to get excited and stay excited for my transition
#im still excited ive just really fallen off the wagon on taking my doses. depression. you know#im trying very hard to get back to it though. im just lucky my facial hair seemed to continue developing despite this#if it had gotten lighter or receeded i wouldve been so sad. but its its almost starting to go up and around my mouth now :)#chest and stomach hair also coming in very nicely still#leg hair has always been significant so i havent paid much attention to it (still relearning to love my pre-transition patches of bodyhair)#my voice hasnt dropped any more on its own but i dont thiink its really gone back up either ..... hopefully#i have a beautiful widows peak developing. my crest#i literally forgot where i was going with this. started thinking about tdicks and transitioning and my mind just left the building#i think i huave covid

Thinking about the portrayal of ancestry in Horizons.
#something about depicting adult characters as full people with their own motivations and lives as opposed to just making them flat#or not going deeper than a dichotomy between bad and good. it's refreshing to see stuff that feels real and poignant#i've been rotating rystal gibeon crave quite a lot in my mind lately. love the implications here and there about rystal and leyla#not telling you everything but leaving enough implications to imagine stuff.. i can think of a whole life for rystal and it's neat.#also i like that.. every family member feels like their own person. that thing about everyone having their own life and feelings.#liko is different from lucca and diana. but there are still moments which feel affectionate where you can think she takes after them#refreshing take on ancestry tbh. it strikes delicate balance between knowing your roots and past and finding yourself#learning about past tragedies to give them proper closure because you can't do that if you don't know what happened#even with gibeon.. very pleased and impressed that they are putting care in his character's depiction#specifically showing him as a young man and giving depth and perspective to him. allowing him to be a full character.#instead of just saying he is terrible and ending it at that. he gets to be someone with dreams and motivations and relationships#we've seen little of crave but the implications are there to pick apart and they are interesting#it genuinely enriches amethio's character and his side of the story. to make his relatives distinct people with their own perspectives#like.. instead of just saying his relatives are the worst evil!! they are putting care in the depiction and make them nuanced#characters who feel real.. strained and messy relationships with room for growth and development#definitely gives me more appreciation for the narrative in general. it's a kind of story that i find appealing#actually pleased that ame's side of the story is like that.. it could have been flat but thankfully it isn't.#stories with multiple layers and perspectives to them. my beloved.#anyway the portrayal of ancestry and adult characters in horizons is neat. and interesting.#the way they are tackling that kind of narrative to add to characters like liko and amethio. it's cool#hopefully. we get more on gibeon soon. he specifically has me intrigued.. him and crave too.#the writers definitely have specific themes they like and it shows through the story.. it's neat.#character notes

the system is such a fun narrative device because it's ultimately the author, the audience, the plot all wrapped in one. it adapts with what is necessary for the story to come; its strict boundaries, its lenience, all dependent upon the tale being told and just what standards must be set to make the 'chosen' characters act. whether that responsibility falls to the transmigrators (which readers/authors like ourselves will have an intrinsic connection to), or is otherwise warped to be understood by one of the fully fictional accounts. i love the meta to it. it's still a character, but one made best when you as the author input your intentions for it to follow -- no matter the cost.
#it is still a character of course. but it has been on my mind how fun it is to use#either a being that exponentially threatens death + constantly posits itself to taunt yqy's lack of knowledge contrasted to sy#or one that takes sqq's ''really martial siblings; the system was enough of a beast on its own. thank you very much!''#and responds simply: [ ☆*:.｡. ฅ^(≽ܫ≼)^ฅ .｡.:*☆ ]#in this sense you can regard each fic's system as a separate entity overseeing that particular iteration.#or at least one w a different ''task manager'' (author) to determine the levels of interference it is permitted#it's just a fascinating part of all the stories that come of sv. and within sv itself of course!!!#esp w the perceived biases; how sv is intended to 'cater' to a certain audience (similar to the author)#matches not only (presumably) mx/tx's belief but also the presumptions at large as it pertains to bl#(particularly at the time it was written but the idea still persists irt f.joshi stuff. of course. which i will refrain from commenting on)#the system just reminds me of the times back when i used to do actual like. data analysis stuff as best as i could in fan spaces#it's always so curious... marking down certain trends/phases of investment#i do usually prefer getting into things that are long-finished but getting to stay up to speed w the developments of how fans interact w it#is also very very fun to note down. i love writing down reactions to visnovel translations changing certain dialogue to clarify#as well as what sorts of new interpretations people can bring to the table depending on cultural exposure/experience#bc. aha . stares into the sea. ah the americana...#well anyhow. i'd never say anything i've noted down has been significant enough to be actual 'data study' of course but it is super fun#i like figuring out the social aspect of fanbases regardless of whether or not i personally participate (though i tend to! i am just shy)#(more than you'd believe considering how much i talk haha... more of a people watcher i'd say. but i do like complimenting people)#(there really is a lot to admire; even in passing interactions. very inspiring!)#ah where was i. i forgot. anyway the system's such a fun addition for sv and i'm glad it was a core aspect#forever thinking abt sy's response to it after yqy's confession. eternally unwell#speak#svsss txt#i hope you like my kitchen musings. i'm so hungry. portioning out adobo for you all
