it's not only hard living in a toxic household, it's tiring.

my grandmother was never the best person in the world, actually, we have this saying that she's ruined the lifes of everyone who she met, in one way or the other. and she agrees.

she's 95 now and still treats my mother who takes care of her like a horrible daughter, my uncle as the perfect son even if he doesn't talk to her at all, and me and my dad as the biggest mistakes in my mom's life.

it's hard to see my mom and my uncle get past through all the resentment and the anger they have towards her to take care of her, it's hard to see her not even say thank you to them, it's hard to have empathy towards someone who traumatized me to an extent that i will never know the real me.

the "me" who was supposed to be my mother's daughter never existed, only the crafted enemy she created to help her hate my mom.

it's hard. it's sad. it's tiring.

generational trauma is a bitch.
