Since I've remarked the "Ruhnn Mountains" in my Throne of Glass reread, I can't help but imagine them linked to Ruhn. What if TOG is set long after Crescent City and ACOTAR. What if it's linked to Ruhn and some battle that perhaps he led in that strange, different world? What if it's the place he died? (Because I'm becoming more and more scared that he'll die in CC3.)

Was Sarah just re-using the name from a random place when she created Ruhn, or is it connected in some ways?

Thinking about Ruhn…

And how he’d tease me relentlessly when he caught my eyes drifting along the body of another feminine form. As a pansexual, I’ve always longed for a partner who loved humans like I do… and would totally check people out with me because they’re secure enough in themselves and our relationship to admire people like that.

I think Ruhn would be that kinda guy. I think he would catch his partner checking out a girl’s ass and just grin, especially when he sees them catch and silently scold themself.

Imagine how he’d lean down and whisper in their ear, “It’s okay, Sugar -he places a soft kiss on the sensitive space just under their ear, and purrs into it- you can look.” His hand would slip down their back, giving their ass an encouraging slap and squeeze.

I love how Ruhn’s kindness and empathy are shown as symbols of his perseverance and strength. The Autumn King physically and psychologically abused Ruhn so horribly for so long (so much that Ruhn had tattoos all over his arms to cover the places where his father burned him), but was unable to beat Ruhn’s kindness and selflessness out of him. He was unable to mold Ruhn into what he wanted in a son. Ruhn is kind and empathetic despite everything that he’s endured.
