things got divided and genuinely it doesn’t feel like the same fandom at all. the fandom on twitter feels nothing like the fandom on tiktok or on tumblr. and because so many people don’t have tumblr now, despite how tumblr is the utmv fandom’s medium, it’s difficult to get the people together like they used to. someone could be famous on tumblr, everyone knows their name and their ocs, but on twitter nobody knows who they are. tiktok has plenty of tumblr reposts but theyre also in the dark a lot of the time. it’s disconnected.

the community would be a lot better if we just. migrated back to tumblr again and stopped the callout posts, because honestly i don’t care what someone said that was mildly rude to someone else or anything of that silly nature. it’s not that serious!!!! it’s driving us apart!!!!!!!! we can’t be together if we don’t make an effort!!!!!

i want people to start being communal again. i want rp sessions. i want a new loveball. i want roleplay blogs and silly cringe and especially edgy ask blogs. i want the same level of cringe 2016 had. i want it so goddamn bad. but in order for that to happen, people need to put in an effort, and to do it, and enough people need to do that. which feels like it just won’t happen, im not that influential to make that happen, and as previously mentioned, so many communities don’t know i exist either, nor so many tumblr figures!!!!!! the real ones are the people that have accounts on all platforms and post the same things on each 🙏 thank you for being a rare link

but yeah One Piece is so much fun! the best/worst thing about it is it’s exactly as good as all its obnoxious obsessed fans say it is (i say as one of those obnoxious obsessed fans) so i’m so glad you’re enjoying it. it’s really funny and charming and stays funny and charming even in the most depressing or upsetting of arcs (as im sure you’re learning, being at impel down)

the worldbuilding tho. god it’s so fun. genuinely ill never get over how the world constantly feels so vast and rich and lived in. the spirit of adventure present in the series wouldn’t work half as well if the world weren’t so fun to explore and learn more about but it adds so much to the heart of the series for it to live i such a big and amazing world

yeah man the way oda manages to make the story funny and lighthearted but still make the really heavy bits hit so well is SO IMPRESSIVE.

as for favorite characters/scenes/arcs... this is a HARD DECISION. i like everyone so much! i think so far water 7/enies lobby might be my favorite arc and nico robin's entire story was fantastic, i love her, she's very cool. i might also say usopp or maybe luffy himself are some of my other favorites? also brook's backstory got me HARD, man, and the fact it brought back the goddamn whale from the very beginning of their journey on the grand line kills me.

Seeing as this is now kinda what I'm known for I wanted to make a pinned post just talking about it a bit

First off, out of universe things!

To me this thing is still a bit that got out of hand, but you can totally also call it an AU since it has gotten a bit big lmao

It's genuinely the highlight of my day when I get an ask about this and I get to expand the world of Joncreatures just a bit further, or when you guys share your great ideas in universe. Fanwork also! On that note, I'm not an arbiter of truth! Make shit up and have fun with it! I like this more as a community worldbuilding thing And probably the most important bit, please don't take any of this seriously lol. I've made posts before complaining about fandom discourse, and this is the last place I want it. Please keep it fun and lighthearted for everyone. I don't wanna have to be serious on this post but I did wanna mention it. Back to fun stuff, and more of a fun fact, the drawings of the Joncreature are actually inspired by my weird looking rabbit, Brownie!

Thinking of getting a Jon? Great! This is what you should know:

Most Jons take a long time to warm up to new environments and owners, you're not a failure if it's been a month and your Jon is still putting off the occasional threat display towards you. Just make sure you're giving him his space and keeping his space maintained! Jons need a lot of space to roam. I personally recommend jonproofing your house and yard, and if you have the option, giving him is own room to retreat to. They certainly like their alone time! Toys/play that almost all Jons enjoy are things like tape recorders, tunnels, hole digging, reading, chasing feather toys, and beholding! Make sure to incorporate playtime into your routine! Jons love chewing on anything with information! This can be cassettes, papers, books, phones, or even laptops! Make sure to keep important things out of his reach and offer Jon safe papers and chew toys Another important thing, Jons tend to have a lot of strange and worrying phases throughout their development! I have some posts explaining some in the Jon care tag if you're worried. The internet is also a reliable source though! Just make sure the websites you're reading from are reliable! Of course that's not all there is to know, but it's some useful starting info if you're considering getting your own little guy!

All I said about Malakai was that he wasn't perfect and I said it bc being gaslit isn't fun and genuinely can be activating for some people, me included, so though it wasn't that big of a deal and was an easily resolvable issue, I felt it was worth pointing out. I still love and adore him. I've said on multiple occasions that Spider sucks and that his actions have been harmful but he was given an arc that showed he's on the direction of growth. I don't think S2 absolves him of all his acts but it's important that there's representation of how young men can grow out of their bigoted, misogynistic beliefs. Just because I said Malakai wasn't perfect didn't automatically mean I thought Spider was. And more importantly, what Malakai did to Amerie is absolutely not worse than what Spider did/said to Amerie. and Harper. and Quinni. and Malakai. and a bunch of other people I'm sure, so what is weird is putting those two together in ur response to my lighthearted two-sentence post I solely made about Malakai implying as if I was comparing them.

It's not weird to acknowledge that all the characters on this show are imperfect. The fact that they're all multidimensional is one of the things that make Heartbreak High a really great show!

I honestly just wanted to talk about two different alternate universes I've come up with and genuinely, I can't get enough of it right now- but because I've barely talked about one of these, I figured this would be a fun way to continue! (and the other one's new, but we're going to talk about it anyway-)

Fair warning! This post is going to get a bit long!

Internverse / Intern! Randy

So, for anyone who isn't already aware of this idea- it follows an alternate take on canon because why the fuck not, where Viceroy enacts a new plan to capture the Ninja. The plan is to use an internship program in order to have one of the students reveal the Ninja's identity- as Randy's poor luck would have it, he is accepted as an intern by almost cartoon logic (except for the fact he does know math and excels in it-). Unfortunately for him, he has to ride out the internship or risk revealing himself to McFist and Viceroy- at some point, things start connecting and we'll see what happens after that!

This is the most lighthearted it will ever get with my AU's (although this one was inspired from another creator!), because even my MLP AU is an angsty little bitch

The deal with intern! Randy is it's mostly my excuse to explore on a slightly more serious but fairly tame and soft outlook on the series- also because McFist and Viceroy should've had more screen-time with Randy as a civilian, it's just fucking hilarious to me- (and yk, mentor-mentee type thing with Viceroy, no I will not explain /lh). I feel this au might honestly be an actual identity reveal since neither McFist and Viceroy know he's a teenager (like yes they technically know in canon, but also this is my fic and what i say goes /lh).

Though, I'm going to cover an arrangement of headcanons and general infodumping for intern! Randy because now I'm hooked, oopsie lmao

Randy is a math prodigy! Does this have any true canon basis to it? No- but I'm going to write it anyway hahah, also just- you can't tell me he isn't extremely talented in music (though that's not as relevant)

His parents are extremely absent in his life- he has issues with other people trying to parent him because of this. In his eyes, they're going to leave him eventually except for the Weinerman's, they're practically family but he's also worried about being a constant nusiance

In no way do McFist and Viceroy know that the Ninja is a teenager- Viceroy's the only one who has made the connection that the Ninja likely changes but hasn't quite reached the thought of them being a teenager because that would be ridiculous

Howard isn't a very used character in this, but he still appears nonetheless- he's not an easy character for me to write, but unfortunately my tengu! Howard fic doesn't really count hahaha

McFist and Viceroy have Something going on but it's not romantic! Unless McFist wasn't married to Marci- then that's another can of worms, but we're not doing that here

Bash and Randy might honestly become friends because I said so,

I like to think the Sorcerer isn't a heavily major character in this, and simply stays in the background- not because he got defeated, but genuinely I just don't consider him important. I don't think he'd notice anything strange about Randy either

Randy is inattentive ADHD! I also have ADHD and so, he will be written with my mannerisms more than likely- one of his hyperfixations is video games and I'm still trying to decide what the other is. He also has RSD for ahems- reasons, you will find out why soon!

Randy is going to be staying at the manor with the McFist family because well, why not-

And then we have the new au! It doesn't currently have a name- other than the fact it's literally just an age/role-swap AU!

More specifically, we have a switch between Randy and Finja, as well as "Plop Plop"/Hinata and Howard- it's been done before I think, but honestly I'm hopping on the train as well!

General Role Swap Infodump

Randy and the First Ninja trade places (obviously-). Randy's clan fought monsters in general, yokai who were a threat to Norrisville and other lands- until the Sorcerer came into being. In the end, Randy was the last one standing - forced to bear witness to what was a literal massacre killing of his entire clan - and decided he would find a way to trap the Sorcerer into a prison of his own design. With the help of a magical artifact, he did manage to do this. A few years went by and he continued protecting Norrisville- until he was unfortunately cursed (or something, i haven't quite figured it out yet-) and bound to the Nomicon

On the other hand, we have the First Ninja (who's name is not being revealed yet-); set in a more modern timeline, debating if it's the same as Randy's or current time period- the First Ninja comes from quite a big family (he has eight siblings, but they're not all the same age!) and is attending Norrisville High School. He's kind of like a feral cat- he isn't too fond of making friends and the only one who puts up with his nonsense is Hinata, his best friend

Over the summer, First Ninja was chosen to be the Ninja- he manages to keep it hidden and unlike Randy, he doesn't go blabbing about it in his writing assignment. He takes his responsibility seriously, even if he isn't necessarily eager to have gotten the role

At first, he and Randy don't meet- it's either going to be an episode adjacent to the 13th Century Ninja, or it's going to be something entirely original! I honestly think Finja is likely skeptical of Randy's teaching methods but eventually they start bonding and things take an interesting turn after that

As for Howard, I don't think he's simply the guardian of the temple- He's bound to the tengu spirit and is quite literally immortal. He exists both within the Nomicon and outside of it, but he is essentially Attack Dog privileges. No, I will not explain right now-

Finja has extremely short patience. He's prone to sarcastic fits and would rather do Literally Anything Else, but he understands that the Nomicon chose him-

Uh, the Norisu clan run their own dojos and whatnot because I said so but like, with Finja's siblings- they've all mastered their own elements and due to self indulgent bullshit, I can elaborate more on this but in a separate post. Let's just say there's more to this AU, that's all I'm going to mention right now. I'm fixating hard and it is a problem

I don't have more to add for this AU right now- other than Hinata likely won't be controlled by the tengu? I'm not entirely sure right now because this idea might as well have come to me in a dream hahah

my favourite thing about byler and this side of fandom is that it has really reconciled love and sex for me. ive always shipped, and looking back, i had a pretty mature sense of love and relationships in terms of how i shipped from a young age (not so in my personal life, but eh!), but sex was never a part i could reconcile beyond being excited by it and imagining it vaguely for my pairings. there's been very few ships where i've been able to get such satisfaction from understanding the total harmony between sexual expression and love, where the sex and physicality feels like the most natural form of expressing that love rather than other romantic tropes like words or kisses. like, for me, the only way byler can express this certain part of their love for each other is through having sex or making love or being very very close and intimate. perhaps for me this is why its so beautiful and all the kinkier stuff can just be lighthearted fun, because it has this foundation of love and trust, so the racier parts arent scary or shameful anymore.

and honestly, for the younger fans, i genuinely just don't think they have the life experience to understand this yet. as a teen, who did?? until theyve been in true adult love and have been through the pain of experience, how could they know all the different things sex can mean? and i guess you could say that byler, as teens, shouldnt have such a deep connection either, but even without finn and noah looking much older than 15 (lmao), something about the way theyve been written as characters DOES have this maturity that only comes with intense experience, and its because theyve been through experiences that most teens never will. i dont even mean supernatural, i mean emotional intensity and danger. they were forced to grow up by their experiences, even if people think will's trauma has instead left him developmentally stunted.

the stranger things kids always did act like adults in a way - remember dustin mediating arguments in s1? the way lucas apologised to el of his own volition? you dont even get that with grown ass adults half the time. watching mike and will as a casual fan in s4, i was blown away by the maturity. the duffers have written a young adult romance, really, not a teen one. maybe this is why so many of us are confused/intrigued by this pairing and feel the need to justify the enjoyment of a potential sexual aspect.

This is a really great take and excellent insight, not much to add but yes yes yes to all!! I think this also very much speaks to how I and many others recognize that while all ages can enjoy this show - it's a show that while centering on younger characters, is an adult show. The proper age demographic understands what you've laid out and described here and understands the themes and storylines. It's not showcasing and laying the groundwork for an immature and childish view of love and romance and sex - adults watching should already understand these topics in a way most teens and preteens would not. And, of course, there are teenagers who are a little more receptive and understanding and engaged by these topics, as well as there being immature adults who rage against it, too. 😘

ahem. anyway. sorry for yelling lmao. onto the actual fic summary—basically, i decided to write this silly little thing about human, arospec lila trying to talk about a newly formed crush with an aroacespec will. it's very silly and fluffy and writing it made me giggle a lot, don't expect much angst here, aside from like a sprinkling of it for flavor lmao. that being said, small warning for some toxic queerplatonic partner vibes between will and lila, but the vibe is still mostly lighthearted, it's not too heavy or extreme. also, they're working on it, okay :') they're teenagers who grew up in abusive/traumatizing environments (which isn't referenced in the fic but it definitely shapes the way i characterize them), they don't exactly know how to navigate a healthy relationship yet but they're trying goddammit dskjfkdsafj

William's curled up on his side, his upper body in Lila's lap and her hands kneading though his hair in a way that mostly feels good, when she suddenly asks the question.

"Is it called a crush because you want to crush them?"

If this were closer to the beginning of their friendship, when he wasn't already used to weird comments like these from her, William might've sat up in shock, giving her a wide eyed expression of surprise she loves to make fun of him for. This is far from the most outrageous thing she's ever said to him at this point, however, so instead, he just furrows his brow and shifts in her lap a little, not even bothering to open his eyes.

"Lila, what on earth are you talking about...?"

She's quiet for a moment, her hands pausing in his hair. He lets out a little whine at the loss of feeling, and she huffs softly before continuing, using a little bit more of her nails than she was before.

"Let's say...like...maybe there's this person someone thinks is...pretty," she says, the words awkward and stilted in a way he's never heard from her before. "And because they're so pretty, that person keeps...fantasizing about...squeezing them. In their arms. Or under them."

"Ew," he says on instinct, his fingers moving to fiddle with the black ring around the middle finger of his left hand. "Is this hypothetical person you, Lila?"

"No, dumbass!" she says, and, well, that almost sounds convincing. "I'm just...asking. For a friend."

"But I'm your only friend?" he asks, genuinely confused. His confusion then turns to pain, however, as she pulls on his hair—apparently she found that insulting. "Ow! Lila!"

"I have friends. Mainly friends you picked out for us—" and here, she huffs, sounding put upon about his choice in companionship, as though she has no choice in whether she hangs out with them too, "—but friends nonetheless."

...okay, admittedly, he understands where the offense came from now. But still, she claims that he's her only friend enough that of course he would make that assumption, and it's kind of not fair for her to punish him for words he's repeating from her. And also, he must reiterate, ow.

"Anyway, it's for a friend," she insists, sounding a bit wounded. "God. Don't be a smartass, Will, it's not flattering on you."

"I'm not trying to be a smartass, you're just—ugh, nevermind," he grumbles, letting his eyes flutter open and sulking at a vague point in the distance. His hand drifts toward the hem of her skirt, and he plays with it absently, rubbing his fingers over the soft fabric. "Putting all that aside, well...um, sorry to your friend, but I don't think I'm the right person to ask about that. I still don't really...understand all that stuff."

"Ugh, right, I forgot you were a fucking loser."

"I'm not a loser!" he protests, but he immediately feels childish for it. He flips onto his stomach to hide his face in her lap, and is instantly rewarded with one of her hands on the nape of his neck, a warm, comforting weight. "That stuff is just...really complicated..."

"Yeah, well, that's cuz you're a loser who's bad with people, it's okay to admit it."

There's a twinge of fondness to the insult, and despite himself, he finds himself smiling a little at her tone. Still, he decides to retaliate by lightly pinching her on the calf, just under the crook of her knee.

"Ow! Will!"

She then retaliates to him by pulling on his hair again, harder this time despite only using one hand this time. He lets out a sharp cry of pain and smacks her on the knee, pulling out of her lap briefly to escape her wrath. She drops her hands once he's fully off of her and sitting up on his knees, and he scowls at her unamusedly. She scowls back at him, the two of them staring at each other for a moment with equal mild annoyance.

Then, face unchanging, Lila pats her thigh, looking even more annoyed when he doesn't immediately lay back down. "Well?"

He huffs, but obliges, flopping back in her lap, this time on his back so he can continue to scowl at her. One of her hands returns to his hair, and the other one grabs one of his hands, though it feels less like she's just trying to hold his hand and more like she's trying to restrain him from pinching her again. Which, really, is super unfair, given that he only pinched her because she was being mean to him. And she pulled his hair first. And because she always does shit like that to him, and he deserves a chance to defend himself...

...but she is petting his hair in a way he likes again, and her face has softened a little, her lips now in that tiny but genuine sort of half smile he's only seen her use on him. He smiles back at her, wobbly and crooked but just as genuine, letting out a little laugh despite how genuinely annoyed he was moments prior.

"You're the worst," he says, and though he kind of means it he also says it with all the affection in the world. "I am sorry I can't answer your question, though."

"Hey, you also suck," Lila says back, but she coos it in the same tone you'd use on a mischievous kitten. "And it's fine, honestly. It wasn't a serious question, anyway. I was just wondering."

They fall quiet for a moment, and William's eyes fall to their enjoined hands, watching as Lila idly traces his fingers with her thumb. He's struck, then, with the oddest thought—that being, the thought that he does love her, in some weird way, despite the constant bickering and occasional minor physical attacks. That no matter how hard she makes it for him, he cares about her, and he wishes she would let him do that without constantly trying to fight on him on it. That he's glad she loves him too, in her own weird way, because he knows she does but he rarely gets to hear her say it out loud.

Not that he could ever say all that to her, of course. She'd probably just make fun of him.

Instead, he says, "If it is you with the crush...you know I'd be here to listen if you wanted to talk about it, right?"

He's fully prepared to let the conversation end there, but she surprises him by letting out a sigh and saying, "I don't even know if it is a crush."

He raises his eyebrows at that, trying not to get too excited at the information he was just given. She'd hate it if he said it out loud, but she's really easy to scare away on these rare moments where she's being open or vulnerable. "What do you mean?" he asks, trying not to let his voice soften too much.

She groans loudly at that, but she hasn't stopped talking, which, score. "I dunno, William, like...the crush question was kind of a joke? But it also kind of wasn't?"

"...elaborate?"

She groans louder, loud enough to startle him a little. She must feel him jump, because she gives his forehead a light pat before entangling her fingers back in his curls, the hair petting having mostly stopped now. "When I think about this person...I want to hold them as tight as possible and not let go. And squeeze their hand and just...hold it. And..." She grimaces, like it pains her to admit it. "And kiss them, maybe. On their stupid fucking face. Among...other things that I suppose I will graciously spare you."

She taps his ring as she says that, making him giggle. "Thank you. I appreciate that," he says, smiling broadly up at her for a moment, before his face falls back into an inquisitive frown. "Uh, but, Lila? I'm no expert, but that...kind of sounds like a crush? I think?"

Lila chews on her lip for a moment, as if considering what she's going to say next. When she finally speaks, William feels his heart cease to beat in his chest.

"I know, but like...a lot of that is stuff I want to do with you."

William feels his face grow hot, and he stammers, ice cold panic rushing through his veins. Yeah, he loves Lila, but it's not—it's not like that, he's not comfortable with—she knows he's not—

"Not the—not the sex stuff!" Lila says suddenly, giving him a harsh shake. "I didn't say I wanted to do all of that with you, take a fucking breath, Will!"

Oh, he did stop breathing for a second there, didn't he? He inhales deeply as she told him to, letting her lightly push him upright into a sitting position on the bed. He twists around a bit so the two of them are side by side, and she immediately tugs him closer until his head is on her shoulder, awkwardly patting his back in a way he thinks she thinks is comforting. It's a little much, honestly, given that his moment of panic really was just a moment—it was instant relief hearing that she wasn't into him in that way, and it was kind of silly for his brain to jump to that conclusion in the first place anyway since he mostly knows where they'd drawn the lines in their relationship, even if they've never properly talked about it—but he likes these rare occasions where she attempts to fuss over him, so he's not going to protest it. It's kind of sweet, really, even if it's obvious that she has no idea how to comfort another human being.

"Ugh," she says, sounding more embarrassed than exasperated. "Ugh, I said that in the stupidest way, sorry." Then, after a pause, she adds, "I mean...it's all just stupid, anyway."

"Aww, no it's not," William says gently, very comfortable in his place nestled against her side. "I guess I get what you mean though. I know I don't have a crush on you, but I like cuddling you and stuff. I'd also feel weird if I suddenly felt the same thing toward someone else but with...other stuff too."

"Yeah," Lila says, sounding mopey. Probably because she's moping, if he had to guess. "It's not just that, either, wanting to touch this person the way I touch you also feels...different. Different in a way that's hard to pin down." She grabs his hand, having lost it in the shuffle of him sitting up, and once again starts tracing his fingers, running her thumb from the back of his hand, over his knuckles, down to his fingernails. "Like when I do this, it's nice, but I don't do it and think about you as my boyfriend. That'd be disgusting."

William barks out a laugh at that. Technically, it could be an insult toward him, but... "I understand what you're getting at, yeah. I want to be close to you, but you're not, like, my girlfriend or anything, and I wouldn't really want you to be. You're just my friend, but, like...a friend I want to cuddle sometimes."

"Stop saying that we cuddle," Lila scoffs, but the usual harshness of her tone is still rather muted. "But...yeah. Exactly. It's different, and it's weird."

William hums sympathetically, giving her arm a light pat. "Yeah," he says quietly. "That does sound weird." Then, after a pause, "I'm sorry. I wish I could help you more."

Lila huffs, letting her cheek rest against his head. "I wish you could help me more too," she bemoans, interlocking their fingers and giving his hand a light squeeze. "But, whatever. Just talking about it was nice, so you're not completely useless..."

Once again, William just chuckles at that. He can hear the unsaid Thank you in her voice, and he appreciates it, even if he does wish she would just be straightforwardly nice to him sometimes. Hell, not even just to him, oftentimes he wishes she would be nice in general.

But...she's working on it. He thinks. There's been a notable difference in the way she speaks to Martha, Ellie, and Regina, anyway. She's still on guard around Jim and Mike, and god, he doesn't really know what her deal with Tanya is, but she's friendlier with those three, at least. And...she's been more gentle with him, too. At the very least there's been less pinching.

He's proud of her. Which is another thing he can't tell her if he doesn't want her to laugh in his face, but, hey. Maybe one of these days.

"...you wanna lay down now?"

Her question pulls him out of his introspection, and William hums in assent, finally pulling his head off of her shoulder. "Are we gonna take a nap now?" he asks, rubbing at his face absently. "I got pretty close to falling asleep before, well, you know."

She sniffs, pulling her legs up on the bed and stretching out behind him, her arms and legs reaching each end of the mattress before she rolls back onto her side and brings them back in again. "I mean, you can sleep if you want. I don't know if I will."

"You're not at all tired?" he asks, curling up on his side next to her. They're face to face, now, and he can see the exhaustion in her face, as well as the slight flush left over from their conversation.

"Not really," she sniffs. "I mean, I don't think I am enough to fall asleep. I just want to rest my eyes a little."

"Oh, okay," he says, scooting a little closer to her. "I might fall asleep. You didn't want to talk more, did you?"

Lila shakes her head rather than verbally answer, and William smiles to himself. She's probably going to fall asleep too, judging by the way she's gotten quieter, but even if she doesn't, he knows she'll let him sleep if he needs to. Unless something important happens. Or if she gets too bored, which is something important in Lila's eyes.

She kind of is the worst, but luckily for her, he kind of does love her.

He lets his eyes fall closed then, pressing further into her warmth until he's tucked up under her chin. She doesn't fight him on it, instead wrapping a loose arm over him, and he knows he's very close to drifting off when he hears her ask one last thing.

"You're really not going to ask who my hypothetical crush is on, are you?"

It's an interesting remark—it almost sounds like she's disappointed. Still, it's not interesting enough for him to open his eyes. "I kinda figured I wouldn't be able to get it out of you," he mumbles, his voice muffled by her collarbone. "Why?"

"...I dunno. I just thought you would ask," she says, starting to sound close to sleep herself.

"Did you want me too?"

"No." She says it too quickly. And then amends, "Maybe..."

He laughs sleepily, resting one curled up hand on the small of her waist, wanting to be closer, trying to absorb the warmth she's emanating—she's always run weirdly warm, while he runs weirdly cold. He tries not too think too hard about the way that makes them fit so well together. "Tell you what. When I wake up, I'll pester you about it as much as you want me to. Is that okay?"

"I didn't want you to pester me," she protests, scowl audible in her voice. "Just ask."

He laughs again, suddenly overwhelmed with a feeling of contentment. "'m gonna pester you so hard," he mumbles, picturing the dirty look he knows she's giving him despite his still closed eyes. "'m not gonna leave you alone until you give me answers. S'only fair."

"How's that fair?"

"I mean...you pester me when I try to keep secrets from you."

"I don't..." Lila protests, but she sounds amusingly unsure. "Besides, since when did you try to keep secrets from me anyway...?"

"Mm. I stopped tryin' cuz you'd always get them outta me."

"Well, that just sounds like your fault."

"...maybe you've got me there," he mumbles, chuckling softly. "I jus' think it's my turn to needle somethin' out of you this time, mmkay?"

"Yeah, well, good luck with that," Lila grumbles, making him giggle more.

The two of them then lapse into a comfortable silence, aside from their quiet breathing. William is just about asleep when he feels more than hears Lila murmur something against his hair.

"Love you, Will. No matter what happens."

He smiles widely at that. She must think he's asleep—rarely does she say that she loves him without him saying it first. Even then, he usually receives it with a (nonetheless fond) eye roll, so hearing it now sounding so genuine is a nice treat.

"Love you too, Lila," he mumbles back, his voice slurred from exhaustion. "Love you so so much."

Given the way she tenses, he was probably right in thinking that she thought he was asleep. Still, she doesn't respond with a protest or a quip like she normally does, whether because of her tiredness, or maybe she just wanted to let a nice moment linger for once. Either way, he'll count that as a win.

It doesn't take him long to drift off after that, the smile not leaving his face even as he sleeps.

a/n: aww thank you I really appreciate that! I'm glad to be back. Haha yes gotta love our mans Neji he's just the sweetest, awkward (beautiful) bean. Now I actually hadn't known about lithosexuality before this so it was really interesting to look into (especially as someone who also identifies on the ace spectrum - demi) so I hope I did this justice! I did do both. But yeah someone like Jiraya would probably be flabbergasted first hearing about it but then again once he's older he's probably the one who has heard it all lmao

Lithosexual is a sexual orientation on the asexual spectrum. Someone who is lithosexual may experience sexual attraction but does not want it reciprocated. The lithosexual person may be uncomfortable at the thought of someone being sexually attracted to them, or they may lose their sexual feelings if they learn it's reciprocated. As such, lithosexuals do not feel compelled to seek out a sexual relationship. Like with any sexual orientation, lithosexuals can have any romantic orientation.

Neji honestly doesn't know much about different sexualities and identities when he is younger thanks to the conservative environment he grew up in. He doesn't even know what he identifies as until later when his world view gets opened up tbh.

That is exactly what happens the day you sit down and explain to him your sexuality. It's very blunt and to the point. It ends with something along the lines of 'So yeah, that's me.'

Yeah that's you. As if you didn't just blow his entire world view. 'Oh.' He says as if he doesn't want to ask But how did you figure all that out by yourself?

If he did ask that you could have bonked him on the head and told him of course you didn't. You figure it out through other people. By reading, talking, etc. But he didn't he just sits there stunned looking out at the trees while you try not to laugh at his lopsidded expression.

But its through this stunned encounter and many more conversations that Neji learns he is demisexual. Huh so there was a word for what he was after all? He feels? Satisfied? No. He feels a little more certain. Of himself and the world. A lightness in his step.

If you told him you are sex repulsed Neji is the type to be the most understanding and respectful. (You also have to tell him exactly what it means though because he's a little confused at first but he's got the spirit) Finds out your boundaries the second it comes up. Never strays from them.

Madara Uchiha

A who what when where how? Confusion. However, he's an attentive listener when it comes to all things serious. Especially if you're someone important to him. Doesn't mean he's not all smirky and making jokes to ease to tension. They're not in poor taste but he's so awkward lmao.

He makes talking about it fun nonetheless. But he also feels bad for all the times he flirted with you because he flirts with everyone (he's a natural flirt) and now he feels like he needs to apologise bc he's that guy. You can take it or tell him to stop trying to be a gentlemen it's not for him lmao.

Tell him that you're sex repulsed and he's also confused. Like he can put the words together and he THINKS he knows what it means but you really should make sure because his mind can just take off sometimes. So yeah he's sitting there like the pikachu meme politely while you explain it to him. And once your done it clicks and MADARA IS BACK he's cool and understanding.

He's definitely on the opposite end of the spectrum with that sort of thing which is fun because he gets to learn! He didn't know it was a thing until now. He's very big on respect so he'll respect you for telling him honestly. Won't cross any boundaries. Make jokes about him though being a gremlin he deserves it lmao.

I feel like he's going to be the kind of guy who knows a little about this sort of thing? Like you think he's going to be surprised with that carefree front he puts up but he always just knows everything about everything. Damn anbu man.

And he listens. LIKE ACTIVELY LISTENS. Eyes watching. Head nodding. Absorbing everything like its a damn assignment. Such a sweet guy. The best friend like ugh. The best. Asks questions too when he doesn't understand.

'Does that mean you don't ever want to date either?' and then 'Oh wait is that to invasive? Sorry I got to curious don't feel like you have to answer.' Like super curious but also considerate. He's just super interested in finding out more about but also learning about you since you're in his life.

Since the discussion was so deep and serious he'll end it with. 'Well that was great lets go grab some dango.' As if it were just any other day. It's the pure acceptance and sweetness for me.

As for sex repulsion he'd probably also know what it is but want you to clarify what it is for you (if it was something you were wanting to discuss since you brought it up) He wouldn't say to much other than 'Aw thanks for telling me.' But would ask questions again if they were prompted.

And of course if it was a seperate conversation yaknow this man is taking you for food again. He was taught that deep conversations should end with good food.

Okay, so they very excellent and good @zigg--muses has a Jack Ryder that we sort of accidentally kind of faceplanted into a ship with between him and Viktor.

And it has been a ship that makes me INSANE because the drama. A lot of the good threads have been in discord groups (omgs the midnight confrontation one), but on here I will always delight in the interview thread we had as our first major tumblr interaction. The subtle tension of two once best friends having to stare each other down from very different places after so much distance was already a great premise, but Ziggy knocked it out of the park with just how conflicted Jack felt about not only his friend, but having to do a story about them, and the heartache of wanting to see the good in them still.

And getting to write Viktor experiencing that conflict, that wanting for someone they trusted, a remnant of their past self, to still understand who they are and see them as something worthwhile? YES. Them having to experience all that wanting over again right in their face? YES. Also I just... REALLY love when people challenge Viktor, it's so much fun to write them genuinely having to work things out in their head. I actually love writing arguments kajfdgha

I have quite a few muses I haven't gotten to play yet, some who even have (unused) blogs! But also I like weird stuff that's not common RP fodder so I am VERY understanding of that akjdfhgjkafd

I have a blog for the Acheron Twins from Jak and Daxter with both canon villain verse and pre-canon non-villain verse, because I invested way too much time into that franchise as a young'n, lmao.

I also have a Spyro the Dragon muse! Haven't gotten to play him, but honestly I'd love to, can you imagine that little scamp, that'd be such a fun lighthearted account to run.

And then I have a Spike Rosered muse from Megaman X5 that I haven't actually gotten to play yet because that is a weird franchise to roleplay for in the first place.

Look a lot of my childhood fandoms got hyper-developed in my brain meat. Also it's funny that all of these unplayed muses are so hilariously different from Viktor, I'm just a loose craft pompom under the serial killer mask.

I think I'll do little "takeaways" from at least some if not all of the episodes in my ATLA re-watch :) 'The Boy in the Iceberg' is one of the episodes I've seen the most times so no real surprises there but -

-I was already thinking this from reading The Corners of the World Our Mere Prologue on ao3 which has brilliant Katara characterization but WOW I need to lean into explosively angry & sometimes alarmingly impulsive Katara more in my future writing projects. She literally breaks the Avatar out of a block of ice in a fit of rage. Angry Katara my beloved <3

-On that note, Katara & Sokka's struggles over their different complicated reactions to their mother's death & the responsibilities they were left with are also set up super early & super well. A lot of fandom discussion over Sokka's development especially after he meets Suki later on surrounds his "sexism" & SURE that's PART of it. Still, there's also a massive issue in the way he doesn't respect the way Katara cares for him & takes on chores. This isn't just about "sexism" in a broad sense, there's a personal issue with the way he treats Katara. And Katara isn't blameless either. She doesn't respect that Sokka is trying to train the other children in case there's another attack. She sees it as a waste of time. This isn't a critique on either sibling personally, but a note about where their characters are at when the show starts - and their relationship & understanding of one another will grow as the show progresses.

-It's a little funny how much I did NOT get that they were setting up Katara/Aang the first time I watched this show because whether I personally like it or not it's pretty in your face that they're setting up the ship from episode 1 I just simply misread all of their interactions as 100% platonic the first time I watched so every romantic moment threw me way off lmao. Fiiineeee I see it now, the framing is totally romantic I don't have to like it but I'll acknowledge it lol

-I LOVE the way that Aang & Zuko's introductions mirror each other. Zuko is introduced directly after Aang & juxtaposing "Do you want to go penguin sledding?" we have "I don't need any calming tea! >:(" It's SUCH fantastic narrative framing & introduces the way that Aang & Zuko's journeys & characters are always interconnected & contrasting. Narrative foils my beloved <3 <3 <3

-Huge huge huge fan of how Aang's introduction leans heavily into how much of a CHILD he is. When he asks Katara a question it's not "where am I?" or "what happened?" or "who are you?" It's "will you go penguin sledding with me?" There's something about that simple request to do something FUN that's so adorable & endearing but also it's a GREAT setup for the major theme of the rest of the show about preserving childhood & fun even in the face of war.

-On the same note as the above takeaway, I really love the moment when Aang & Katara are penguin sledding & Katara yells "I haven't done this since I was a kid!" & Aang responds "you still ARE a kid!" That is another moment where this episode serves as a great thesis statement for the rest of the show.

-The end of the episode shows that Zuko's ship is approaching & the foreboding vibe + the genuine fear we finally get from Aang in the final scene is SO good. This show is fun & lighthearted but with serious undertones & I think the first episode sets that up so well.

I probably won't do a whole long list of takeaways for every single episode (well, maybe I'll feel like it, we'll see) but I wanted to for the pilot. I love this show so much. That is all, for now :)

You ever have moments where you keep seeing a popular joke that everyone you see is making that makes fun of the way you speak because of your accent and you just think, I know it's a joke, but it just keeps feeling like it's not a joke? Or is that just my autism making me feel like it's directed at me and the way I talk?

Was I sent this because I'm British and autistic? Mayhaps, mayhaps. Eh - speaking as a Brit who is very often subjected to "bo'ohw'o'wo'er" memes - I always take it as lighthearted, I see the humour in it - I can laugh at it, I'm not bothered. But not everyone has to feel this way! Some people don't like these kinds of jokes - and that's okay. If anyone makes them towards you - be clear with the fact that you don't enjoy that kind of humour. If they're a decent person - they'll respect that. It's hard to figure out tone for us autistics - especially on the internet, but I think most of this stuff comes from a place of wanting to have a laugh. Again, speaking as a Brit, we make fun of our own culture(?) just as much as everyone else. But some of it could actually be genuine attempts at insult - but like - honestly imagine being that pathetic lmao. Like all things to go for - accents?? Accents are amazing and beautiful! Imagine if we all spoke the same way - how boring life would be. Accents are cute and sexy - never forget it. Anyone petty enough to insult accents just aren't worth any sort of time or achknowedgement.
