The solar oven is a seed the writers have just planted - it’s how bucks couch gets destroyed and we get to watch the loft burn!
Tumblr media
There’s a reason we’ve been over at bucks loft with all the chris homework scenes - they’re gonna make a solar oven on the balcony and the refraction of the foil is gonna set something inside the loft on fire (the couch) we can get rid of the couch and the loft (or at the very least cleanse it) because Buck will get thrown out by mr grumpy ‘no dogs, only cats’ (there’s a reason we met him this season) and we could get Chris in danger - maybe trapped on the balcony!!
I see the vision

they’re really not gonna introduce a new character to be buck’s endgame love interest THIS quickly and in the span of 7 episodes. it HAS to be eddie that Oliver is talking about in the interview today it just has to be and I have a feeling Buck's apartment complex is gonna burn down and collapse hence the couch being destroyed.
If Buck's loft burns down for real this time I'll laugh until I cry and high five every single person in this fandom that have been clowning about that since the break between 5A and 5B. That sterile place with the new, uncomfortable couch Margaret is getting him deserves to go up in flame!

Ok wait where are the bucks loft burns down theories I have yet I see them and I need them - was it confirmed and I missed it??
Oh it's 100% just a theory that I saw on my return to 911blr scroll and I love it because, deep down, I want the "Buddie Roommates Era" truthers to win and burning the guy's house down is an excellent way to get rid of his couch and force him to move onto the right couch.
I saw a snippet of an interview with Oliver Stark that is floating around on the 911 spoilers tag where he's saying that he's happy that the fans have latched onto the couch as a metaphor and that the new couch won't be around all that long anyway! Combining that with another comment he made about how Lucy does come back but as not a love interest, and something-something about how he's actually less than pleased about [seeing Lucy], has the whole "Buck sees Lucy again because she's putting out the fire at his house" speculation spinning.
It's all Clown Car as per usual but that's where the fun is!

Bucks apartment is right next to the stadium and is also destroyed by the blimp, so he has to find a new place to live, so of course-

ok but hear me out. margaret will drive buck crazy and he will inevitably annoy the crap out if eddie, sending him texts complaining about his parents 24/7. eddie will eventually just say fuck it and haul buck into his truck and move him into the diaz house. this is how the buddie roommates era can still win.
(im sooo writing this fic idc)

How am I supposed to have Bucks loft burn down and Buck move in with Eddie if Eddie is gonna be isolated from everyone…..unless they’re living under the same roof but a million miles away from each other? Like divorce era 2.0 but it’s like separated husbands living together?
We can still win with buddie roommates

I keep thinking about the;
“I think you mean your last two girlfriends came with couches”
line from Eddie. Because actually - all three of Bucks girlfriends came with couches - Abby did too. But Eddie doesn’t include Abby in this list - Abby Who Buck chose to step in with - Abby who actually came with a whole and full life - Abby who came not only with a couch, but a house .
Eddie knows about Abby and the house/couch of it all so he had no reason to not include her in the list, unless it’s not just about the couch - that line was very specific to the loft apartment. KR also mentioned Buck being Buck 1.5 and Buck 1.5 was the Buck who dated and then waited for Abby so maybe Buck won’t need to worry about picking the right couch this time - because he’ll be picking a whole lot more than a couch - he’ll be picking a whole house - and who do we know who has one of those (with a couch Evan ‘Its Eddies house I’m not really a guest’ Buckley has spent plenty of time on)??

Been thinking about the 6x04 summary and the interview Oliver gave recently. I saw someone make a joke about Buck getting pulled into a pyramid scheme (lmao he would), and it got me thinking.
What if the “opportunity” from his former roommate is an investment opportunity? Maybe a startup, because if it was talked up like “getting in on the ground floor of something incredible,” I could definitely see Buck being interested. Especially if it’s some kind of business aimed at helping others.
Maybe this goes on for a ep or two when boom, it’s a scam (obviously) and the guy steals all of Buck’s money. And the “situations” that Oliver talked about Buck facing in his interview is that Buck is broke and trying to get his money back.
I think this could bring on some juicy feelings about being betrayed by a former friend and whatnot. And then needing to lean on his actual family and friends for support during all of this.
We know by ep 7, Buck still doesn’t have a couch, but now it’s because he’s broke, he’s still trying to get his money back, he loses his apartment, and anyway, here’s how roommates era buddie can still win…

you’re all wrong the ex roommates proposal is some kind of investment in property which leads to buck selling his loft and moving but turns out its a scam which leaves him with no house this is how buddie roommates era can still win-

the "it" they're paying forward in the 6b finale 'pay it forward' is actually buck's lease break fee that he pays to his landlord, thus finally banishing his bleak wasteland of a loft to superhell forevermore (see figure A below).

The couch is a metaphor, Buck’s new couch/loft is still not his safe space but he immediately feels at home in the Diaz house on their couch???? Here’s how Buddie Roommates pining era leads to s7 canon can still win!
