IM LOSING IT OVER YOUR RECENT IKE FIC. LIKE OH MY GOD. its so sweet and heartwrenching i felt just as nervous and anxious as reader the entire time, and when ike reciprocated my heart MELTED AHHH his freckles!!! how kind and beautiful he is, and his confusion turning into acceptance and his SQUEALSSS AAAA. i cant take it this is my fav ike and probably luxiem fic of all time. all of your hard work paid off so well, it was so well structured and emotional and everyone felt so real!! like they arent characters, theyre actual people!!

i love whenever i'm reading a fanfic and it's so sweetly emotional that you feel your own emotions kicking in. so whenever i hear my work has that effect on someone else it's one of the nicest feelings in the world and WHAT DO YOU MEAN FAVORITE IKE AND/OR LUXIEM FIC EVER. that's super high praise thank youuuuu sobsobsob

the ogs remember the poll i ran like a month ago about if ike should have freckles or not. shoutout to the landslide victory, if i remember correctly 97% of voters wanted ike with freckles! so glad that worked out, it works so well with the star theme and the difference between an online friendship meeting irl, and how reader loves them because it's a reminder that they have so much to learn about ike and are ready/willing, and also, freckles are just plain adorable. ike is just plain adorable. put them together and if i were richer and thirstier i'd be commissioning an artist

real talk tho i feel like ike goes from 1 to 100 whenever he catches himself simping over reader before the off-collab. either he's really good at acting composed, being normal, just interacting with his best friend like best friends do... or he's a stuttering, blushy mess that wavers like jell-o.

ike's the type of guy to sleepily check twitter before going to bed and whenever he sees pen and paper on his fyp it's like he snaps awake. maybe even squeaks or goes "a!" if it's especially.... you know. sometimes he can't even comprehend that people want him and reader to. well. his mouth goes dry.

and then he feels so dirty and embarrassed just because it's there, but... he's still looking at it. is it bad he's still looking at it? it definitely is but it's captivating, in a way. somehow. the artists are so talented, and somehow they nail your body language to a t, and the way your hair swoops above your eyes, and draw you with the cutest little expressions, and—

ah, who is he kidding.

in moments of weakness it triggers something in him to bury his face a little deeper in his blankets, pretend the screen's light would cool the heat pooling over his cheeks, and search the hashtag himself.

not even three pieces of fanart later, he has to throw his phone face-down on the mattress, cover his blush with a pillow, and now he's definitely squealing. it's healing and it makes him ill. it's... pretty. you're pretty. and he's pretty dumb for letting a silly crush distort itself like this.

the worst part is that some of these line up a little too well with daydreams he wanted to lock away until the end of time. he likes when he takes the lead. the stunned, puppyish expression so rare it only shows up on your face during the biggest plot twists during a stream, but coated in a darkened blush as he pecks them on the cheek, elegant and composed. calm.

ohhhh, this can't be good for his heart. especially when ike himself is so red-faced just thinking of it. calm, his foot.

still with the pillow over his flush, ike feels around for his phone and sets it on his nightstand. he chides himself. that's enough internet for the day, eveland! now quit acting like a shoujo high schooler in love and go to bed already, it's not going to happen!

he sets his face into a determined frown as he lifts the pillow and sets it aside. with any luck, he'd go the rest of the night without thinking of reader and his feelings for them.

the frown eases as he nestles into his blankets and tucks himself in. soft sheets and warm comfort greet him as he shuts his eyes, and he enters the fluffy haze of sleep as he slips into dreamland...

...is what he'd like to say, but not even ten seconds later his eyes snap open and jerks upright in bed. wait, i'm acting like i'm in love?!

he sits with the thought seeping through his brain like a corrosive acid, filing through every little moment he daydreamed about you, and when those don't paint him a picture he likes, he tries to recall the moments he shared with you instead. those are even fonder, and even worse.

he slaps his hands over his face and sighs, and when it sounds lovesick he sighs even more.

Always wanting 2 expand my music knowledge but can’t grasp genre differences well. how do u find new music?? im relying on recs from other people most of the time but stuff like ur davekat music post is so specific and right I’m curious

i getch i getcha, i go thru dry spells where i listen 2 trhe same music over and over and over haha. i struggle with grasping genre diffs too, so i constantly compare artists 2 each other, and try to find music relevant to specific examples of shit i alrdy like. the only genre ive ever explored BY its genre n not specific artists is future funk. good genre.

im a music rabbithole-r by habit bc i just dont fucking understand genres. a lot of my music tastes r based on foundational shit i got into as a kid, like videogames or movies soundtracks, that i dragged out as long as i could.

as an e.g. , i was introduced to "why?" as a kid by an older relative. i got into "odd nosdam" because why? mentions him directly in a song on their first album. n i was like "whos that". i got into "clouddead" because its a collab between yoni wolf ("why?") and odd nosdam ("odd nosdam"). i got into "sole" cus he has a feat on that album. etc etc

got into "tmbg" because of homestar runner. got into "og maco" bc of the 12 bricks meme. got into "anamanaguchi" over a decade ago bc of this video.

it's a rlly fun way to find music🙂

i like to find out what artists are related 2 artists i already like, or what their inspirations are, or who they inspired, and move on 2 them, and do that ad nauseam til i cant anymore. i also do this with music rec'd to me by other people which is sumth u mentioned, which is how i found ppl like pinback/rob crow and lemaitre who are some of my fav artists ov all time.

if u find a single song u like, id recommend sample the entire source album in order, and then the first album by dat artist, or just which ever one has the most interesting album art. maybe. or just click on song titles that look interesting.

if u find a cool ytpmv or mashup, check their channel, check the recs on youtube and open 10 in separate tabs and go thru them one by one bc it doesnt hurt 2 be thorough. and theres so much music out there to listen to. if a band's name, song title, cover art grabs you, listen to it. at worst u frown for a minute and move on, at best u find a lifelong fave.

id rec getting shazam on ur phone so u can grab songs u hear in public.

spotify's smart shuffle is also prety good actually. if u have spotify try making a playlist of songs u like and turning that on also.

if a character you like in something references a song or artist, check them out ASAP. very very fun 2 do can provide so much context 2 the characxter as well.

if you do this kinda shit enough on youtube, your recs start to fill up with <1k view videos from independent artists. that is when you have struck gold

Honestly probably just a resurgence. Ik quite a few people irl who bought back in as a nostalgia thing. On the topic of pens though, what type of pens do you collect? Do you only collect a specific type or is it more broad?

I guess collab and such keep Casio afloat, but then, I saw Swatch doing a Dragon Ball Z collab a while ago so hey. Plus watch fans are plenty out there, and from what I can see people sometimes get watches as a way to pushback?? against smart watches? (idk I wear both smart band and a watch so.) and follow the recent "dumbing down" trend (I don't know how else I can call it). So watches still float along ;w;)b

Oh man, what pen I do not collect!! I have a shitton of pens of various types but I am really into fountain pens and inks!! I have over 100 inks in my collection, I had to stop getting new ones because I ran out of space haha (and place I rented out introduced mould which..... had to trash a few bottles and I still keep watch even over two years later orz) but I try to at least pay attention to trends >w<)b Almost every year I try to use my inks during the inkdarktober (this year being a bit of an exception) so I can also invite you to search that up on my blog 'w')b

I wanted to get into Japanese fountain pens collecting but a few years ago I was effectively priced out of that bit, so for now I mostly just buy whatever strikes my fancy when I have funds or when something is on sale? I mostly get Lamy Safaris and Alstars these days, they are colorful and I really like how they feel in hand, I want to hunt down some cheaper Pelikans (M200 maybe), alas I cannot afford anymore my fav Sailors ;w;)a I posted my collection a while ago, it didn't grow much since then! Alas I am not involved much in general "community" since it's pretty much shitton of consumerism and man, not much point to do anything but look... Which kinda sucks really sigh.

I actually stopped checking stats (like got a skin so I can't see it unless I go to my stats page) so yeah! let's go with my top 5 fav fics right now instead!

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Yes, I try my hardest to reply to every one. I'm a lot slower now than I used to be, but I do treasure them!

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

it's ironic that people knew me for fluff and now I don't know how to write fluff and have to pick between MULTIPLE angsty fics. Probably Collateral Damage right now, since it made ME feel bad writing it ;-;

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I think you are the magic in me or skyfall were both pretty long fics with a well-deserved happy ending that I knew I wanted the characters to have!

8. Do you get hate on fic?

I've gotten a bit here and there, mostly on my e-rated fics when I venture into more 'problematic' categories. It sucks, but I'm less affected by it now than I used to be.

9. Do you write smut?

Yeah, once that door was opened there was no closing it back up haha. Honestly, it's pretty fun when I'm in the mood to write it, especially shorter scenes where I can just turn my brain off a little.

10. Do you write crossovers?

I've written a short crossover called What a Steal on my alt account where Gojo and Reigen meet and Gojo tries to recruit Mob. I don't think I have enough brainpower to map out a true crossover but this short one was fun :D

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I don't think so, and I hope it stays that way!

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

I have a few! Not all of them were completed, but I always find it touching that people took the time to start! Same goes for podfics and art, just so touching <3

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I've done a collab once where the general plot was mapped out per chapter and we had 6 authors and 6 artists where each of us got to craft a chapter! It was called Infinite Road where Reki & Langa travel across Canada together and it was ultra sweet and fun. Fandom is so amazing and I was honoured to be invited into this labour of love.

14. What’s your all-time favourite ship?

ouch. ouch ouch ouch. This is too hard. BUT if I had to pick one ship that encapsulates everything I want in a ship though, it would have to be Mark/Eduardo from The Social Network. I have yet to find another ship that has so much potential on all fronts and go through the full spectrum of human emotion depending on which era you put them in. Also that fandom still has the best fic I've ever read, hands down, even if a lot of it has been wiped from the internet, it lives in my head rent free - truly foundational, lifechanging shit.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but probably won’t?

the guilt. the guilllt. I have a ton of khunbam WIPs lying in a graveyard that I don't even want to open up again because I'd feel bad. I also really wanted to finish the miyumei royalty AU of my dreams, and I even outlined it, but it got outrageous and the fandom is pretty tiny so unfortunately I lost motivation :(

16. What are your writing strengths?

I'd say exploring character! It's the main reason I read/write fic and am in fandom in general. Make me fall in love with a character and you've got me for life.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Having a coherent plot, action scenes, finding balance between too much or no dialogue, transitions... def more where that's from and that's okay! I know what I'm not good at, and if I had the time I'd think more on how to improve. But now I just think hey, it's a precious hobby of mine and instead of working on my weaknesses, I'll just ignore them and write the way I like to write :D

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I don't think I'm confident in doing much more than a word or two in Japanese lol personally. I think it can be done artfully and I love it when it's pulled off well!

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Card Captor Sakura I think! At least published and not like, just in my head. It's on FFN somewhere, I pretend it doesn't exist, as with the rest of my FFN stuff.

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?

It'll probably be you are the magic in me for a long time, but these days I still think of when and how I'll finish silence strikes like a hurricane. Can't believe I broke my rule about posting an unfinished multichapter WIP. I have an ending but no clue how to get there. oopsies.

I literally love every musical on your list! I discovered Ride The Cyclone last year and I absolutely fell in love with it, such a wonderful show. And I just listened to Waitress for the first time in ages the other day, the perfect show to play on a walk in the sunshine. The Last Time is CRIMINALLY underrated, definitely my fav collab (or maybe equal with EHC bc it’s super nostalgic for me) at least if we discount Renegade or The Alcott cause those are on another level. I’m glad you agree Renegade is genuinely one of her best songs period! 

Having done some more light stalking I have to say you also being a Watcher fan AND at least the Roblox hbomberguy video (idk if you’ve watched his other ones I love them all so much), our venn diagram of interests is literally a circle it’s crazy. As for Watcher, actually tend to watch way more Puppet History than I do their ghost stuff so I suppose that makes me more of a Shaneiac - that series is such wild genius from his weird little brain and I love it.

I had SUCH A great time at the eras movie the vibes were amazing. I honestly would go again in a heartbeat. I think one of the things I loved about it was the incredible audio mixing - I noticed little things about the instrumentation I hadn't before. Plus, getting to see all the dancing up close made me fall even more in love with her and her dancers they are all just adorable and incredible!!

2. A song that reminds you of your most recent ex-boyfriend/girlfriend: Nothing In My Way by Keane - At least she left me with some good music, not a total heartbreak (plus I'm with a great girl right now, my Star)

3. A song that reminds you of one/both of your parents: Hoy by Gloria Estefan - My mum, again.

4. A song that calms you down: Marshmallow by Amount - I really like soft deep house, like, really soft.

5. A song that is often stuck in your head: Fire Alarm by Castlecomer (ft. Welshly Arms) - I was actually listening to it today. The collab, the voices, the music, everything is so catchy and so perfect.

After watching it, I'm 101% sure no other movie would hit me as much. It really makes you question your own existence. Hans Zimmer is also my favorite movie score composer (and fav. classical composer too, I'd say)

13. A song that reminds you of a former friend: Finale by Madeon (ft. Nicholas Petricca) - Reminds of a former friend called Gabriel. 20. The last song alphabetically in your iPod/iTunes: Zulu by Stephan Bodzin - Idk why numbers appear at the end after the Z, but I'll take Z as last. Stephan is an amazing musician and an inspiration to me.

21. Your favourite song: Holding On To You by twenty øne piløts - I, to be %100 honest, don't think I have a fave song, but for the effects, HOTY is my favorite song by my favorite band (well, one of my faves, because that top 1 is shared by like 5 bands)

22. A song that someone has sung to you: listen before i go by Billie Eilish - Someone that used to be my friend sung it to me at night once, it was very cool. I really liked her voice.

A song that you cannot stand to listen to: telepatía by Kali Uchis - There are a lot, actually, either it is because I don't like them musically or because the lyrics are bigoted (which I took in count to not give exposure to that type of music). This one is just one of them, I don't like the melody, I can't stand it.

24. A song that you have danced to with your best friend: Voyager by Analog Jungs - I even have a video. We were at a small festival in Atenas, Alajuela, CR. That was, tbh, one of the best days of my life. So chill, so good, so cool, and with my best friend.

A/n: This is a part of a big multi fandom collab hosted by the wonderful @prettysetterbaby​ to celebrate this wonderful or lonely day. Decided to try my hand at writing for my fav libero Noya, this is my first time writing for him so hopefully he’s not too ooc. Make sure you go and check out the other stories [Valentines Masterlist] Give them some love too!

-Valentines day was a day that people either loved or hated, you always leaned toward hated in your younger years, then again most kids didn’t think too highly of love or romance.

-When you started highschool you swore you’d never fall in love no matter what. You’d weather any storm and stand strong.

- However you didn’t expect in your second year to encounter a storm by the name of Nishinoya Yuu.

-Noya crashed into your life, literally. You met the shorter boy when he slipped down the stairs and crashed into you. Rapid apologies and a promise to make up for it was the start of your friendship with the libero.

-It was funny how in just a few months you forgot your vow as you fell head over heels for him. 

-It was after the game against Shiratorizawa that you waited excitedly outside the stadium for Noya and the rest of his team. 

-Still buzzing from the intensity and victory of the game you didn’t even think twice before giving him a kiss when you saw him; which made his brain short circuit and you to be very much embarrassed when you realized you did it, and in front of his team. Suffice to say the feelings were mutual when he pulled you in for another kiss.

-Ever since that day you started to love Valentines as Noya made sure to surprise you in the best ways, even after you graduated and started traveling the world together it was a day he went all out on you no matter where on the map you were.

-This year was different, you had to return to Japan after your father had an accident. He needed someone to come and take care of his house while he recovered in the hospital, not wanting to put that responsibility onto your boyfriend. You told him to continue traveling and you’d meet up once your father had fully recovered.

-While you had made the suggestion to begin with being separated from Noya for over two months made you realize how truly lonely you were without him physically there. Now here you were sitting on the couch watching some boring tv show trying to call Noya to at least talk to him on this day, but he wasn’t answering.

“Hey this is Nishinoya Yuu, I can’t come to the phone--”

“Damn it Yuu!” You bursted out cutting off the recorded message, hanging up the call you threw your phone onto the couch. Frustration had boiled into anger after hearing the voicemail for the 10th time. Noya had never gone this long without answering one of your calls, even if it was the dead of night he would still wake up and answer.

Letting out a huff you reached over and picked up the phone again, exiting out of the contacts you went to your most recent texts with him.

You swipe down and look at the message you sent earlier in the day, each one of them was left on read. Why on earth would he do that, he hates when you left him on read so why was he suddenly doing it to you? Maybe he was hanging out with Yaku; no that doesn’t make sense he wouldn’t ignore you especially on valentines day.

As you tried to think of why he wasn’t responding a sour thought came to mind ‘what if he’s cheating?’ You quickly shake your head at such a stupid thought, Noya was one of the most loyal people you knew; he’d never leave you or do something to hurt you.

Even knowing that, the small shred of doubt from his unusual behavior gave you an uneasy weight in your stomach. You decide to distract yourself with a movie marathon, selecting which one to start with, you sit back and relax.

It was maybe a few hours into the marathon your attention is pulled from the detective about to tell who the murderer is by a knock on the door. Grumbling about having to be left in suspense you pull yourself off of the couch and slowly make your way over to the front door, who could be at the door; you didn’t remember ordering anything or anyone coming over.

You opened the door to find no one there, confused you looked up and down the hallway of the apartment but saw nothing. You think it was someone pulling a prank and are about to close the door when you noticed a rose on the doormat. 

Brows furrowing, you lean down and pick it up, who would leave just one rose in front of someone's door? You walked back in closing the door, it was odd but the thought was nice; taking a vase out you filled it with water and set the rose in it.

Just as you were about to sit back down and continue watching the movie another knock at the door came, frowning you went over and opened the door to nothing but a rose on the mat again.

This continues 3 more times, every time you went to start the movie there was a knock and a new rose. Setting the 5th rose in the vase you quickly moved over to the door being as silent as possible, you were going to find out who this was.

Pressing your ear against the door to listen, when you heard footsteps approach and stop in front of the door you pulled back and threw open the door, mouth open to say something but the words never made it out of your throat.

There in front of the door with a bouquet of roses was Noya kneeling down in the midst of setting a rose on the mat, eyes wide staring at you like a kid who just got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. You both just stood in silence staring at each other until you finally found your voice. “Yuu?” 

At hearing you say his name he snaps out of his shocked state and springs to his feet. “U-Uh hey babe.” A sheepish smile came onto his face, your eyes trail from his face to the bouquet in his hands then back up. He shifted putting the singular rose back with the others as you spoke again. 

“Baby what are you doing here? You said you were going to Russia.” You took a step to the side and let him come in, his laughter gave a fuzzy warmth in your chest as he took his shoes off and looked at you. “That may have been a lie haha, sorry about that.” With his free hand he rubbed the back of his head. “I wanted to surprise you.” 

“That’s why you didn’t respond” You let out a relieved sigh as you both walked into the living room. He'd been busy getting things done so they could spend today together; you knew you had nothing to worry about. “Yes I’m so sorry baby, I knew you’d want to call for a bit if I responded and I was trying to make sure everything was set up.” Setting the bouquet down on the table he walked over and embraced you tightly.

When you returned the hug your boyfriend seemed to visabble relax. “God I missed you y/n'' He said mumbled into your hair, a smile spread across your face. “I missed you too Yuu.” You said pulling back a little, a small pout was on Noya’s lips.

“Although I wish you didn’t open the door so soon, I had a whole plan set up.” He huffed with false annoyance that caused you to start giggling. “Hey don’t laugh!.” “Hehe sorry sorry babe but what even was your plan?” He let go, took a step back and crossed his arms. “I was going to keep leaving a rose at the door until I had one left, then I was going to stand at the door and present it to you.”

You couldn’t help but laugh more, because that was indeed something Noya would do. “Haha knowing you baby you’d be in a ridiculous pose too!” Noya cracked and began laughing too, “But that is the best part!” The living room was filled with your laughter, when it finally died down you took a few steps forward and gave him a chaste kiss before going and putting the rest of the roses in the vase.

“I’m glad you’re here, now I was in the middle of a movie marathon and I want to find out who the damn murderer is.” Noya snickered before hopping over the couch to sit down. “Well I don’t see any better way to spend this day then a movie date.” 

You also hopped the couch, grabbing the remote and the blanket you had out; the two of you quickly got set up nice and comfy, once you were set up you looked at Noya. “Want me to restart the movie?” He shrugged “I mean if you want to, you mentioned murder so you might see clues you missed the first time.” You nodded your head and went back to the main menu of the movie. “Oh by the way babe.” Noya hummed in response as he wrapped his arms around you. 

“Out of all the surprises you’ve given me, this was by far the best one.” Looking up at Noya “Happy Valentines day.” You could have sworn he had hearts in his eyes at hearing that from the loving look on his face, he kissed your forehead. “Glad to hear, happy Valentines day baby.”

Dongheon is already familiar with all of them and I just have a feeling that Haechan would dote on Kangmin (he's the cutest maknae tbh). Oh and a Haechan×Yongseung dance Collab… the 00 line, Gemini, Main dancer energy... 🤯

TONS, lol. Especially with Jeno… he's in my dreams most often. Haechan too sometimes though. (It's like my subconscious is well aware of the people I like and wants me to suffer even more :))

Go for a vacation on a far away island with Haechan where he wouldn't have to be an idol and put conscious effort in how he looks or what he does and just... be himself!

my 2020 fic writer wrap-up!!

i love writing about mutual pining slow burn process of getting together but i have NEVER WRITTEN ONE IN MY LIFE so i hope to change that in 2021

in 2020 i discovered??? humour??? so i enjoy writing about that and when people tell me i’ve succeeded in making them laugh it’s all 😳😳😳 for me

hardest fic to write but also most proud of:

to write you a song was a fic i struggled with from all of april to june which is very long?? to me??? considering i usually sit down and write things in one seating. fully fleshed ideas don’t usually take me thaaaaaat long to crunch out, but for some reason i struggled bad with this bc I really didn’t know where i was going w it lol

LA LA LAND gets an honorary mention of it’s own simply because it was 44k, and it took me all of july-september, but it’s something i still am proud of! to show how difficult it was to write/plot here’s the spreadsheet i had to use to keep track of the scenes and the chapters djkgfsjdfkjhgd

Most definitely this sakuatsu monstrosity here by the name of Miya Atsumu's unwavering love for Sakusa Kiyoomi and an unholy amount of terrible food analogies that should not have the right to Exist lol, I only came up with the idea of Atsumu asking Osamu how to make friends bc I was friendship pining for someone at the time and then proceeded to write the entirety of it in a feverish daze! It’s as of rn my top hit / kudoed / bookmarked fic on ao3 and man, thanks for liking this as much as i did :’D

writing sequence:

i have to write from start to finish lmao i cant move on if the fic isnt chronological? the only exception was la la land bc it was too long and i had help from the spreadsheet so i alr knew where i was going i just had to write it down dfhdsfksfksdfhjg

deleting works:

the only fics i remember deleting are both first chapters of a multichap, bc i dont like having unfinished pieces on ao3, and far less if im not sure if ill finish them/if i dont know where im going w it!

best writing advice:

not a general thing and might just apply tome, but i tend to write in very convoluted ways and squish a lot in my sentences, or add to many unnecessary commas, so i received advice recently about being more mindful of the pacing and it’s helped me a lot!

I GOT SO MUCH TO SAYYY!! gosh pls dont find me weird okay, and these are just my personal opinions and im not hating any groups!! but my unpopular opinion is: i think kpop has become very toxic after bts and bp got famous in America. And tbh if you ask me, i wouldnt want any other kpop groups to be famous in America... i only stan exo but i think i speak for all groups when i say they are safe as they are now... of course if exo ever get even more famous i will be happy and proud for their success. But look how fame and America has changed bts and bp... not tryna hate but look theyve changed, idk if anyone else noticed but after fame hits bts, i realised how theyve start to become very...white?? like they are so westernised and like example, they start focusing on America only, they even curse (not a lot but i’d still point out) casually like for example, jungkook singing a curse word in his cover song for jason derulo savage love i think (speaking of cursing, after nct127 got famous in usa mark started getting influenced by them too and he casually cursed like “oh fuck” and everyones like 😃😆) even i curse and im not saying cursing is BADD but yeah i am, and how they sing a whole song in english, not to even mention how toxic america is but in grammys they have sold tons of albums yet they didnt win anything but when they release an english song, they won.

Some half of them americans are very toxic, racist, and just theyre basically acid, like bruh, its evident that once bts got famous there are soooo much hate thrown towards bts too cuz theyre asians, or how some would say theyre gay or look like girls...if my favs (exo) ever get these kinds of treatments (not that they dint but veryy little cuz thank god they ain exposed to the western culture) i will B R E A K, i could never handle that so i would never want that to happen to them. Also noticed how, after bts got famous, most armys are equally as toxic, whether they are just stanning bts just cuz theyre famous there, or like how their fans dont even know anything abt bts and coming after so many groups and their fans. Most of them are fake and i think its cuz of the fame for bts lmao. One thing i’d like to say too tho, is how they are so overrated and their songs are played all the damn time, people would randomly talk abt them, like everywhere you go THEY ARE JUST THERE, like in my opinion if i am an army, i would just feel like they are so common and theres nothing special about them anymore and theres no excitement, like what even is the point anymore. idk if anyone gets me but thats just how i feel about my favs being “wOrLdWiDe fAmOuS”, i will love them and their music but its just something i think about tbh🤷🏻‍♀️ like let me listen to them on my own and vibe and love them, dont play it 24/7 just cuz they are famous and ure tryna get people’s attention, like imagine ure in the subway and u hear ur favs song cuz its EVERYWHERE and ure there like 😐😐 not that u dont love their music but its cuz horrible people dont deserves to listen to their songs, and like people arent going to appreciate them anyway so yeah i feel uncomfortable listening to my favs as others dont even bother, like imagine if that subway is filled with people who are in ur fandom, yall would just hv the best time in the world and VIBE, if not what even is the point. Idk if im explaining it properly, but its badically like, u feeling UNCOMFORTABLE or should i even say SELFISH cuz u do not want to be sharing ur favs with people who dont even deserve to KNOW about them. And well lastly, no Bts did not paved the way, or “bts is the best and only group” like no, so many amazing artists were breaking records way before bts was even a thing (no hate to bts) but they really need to get slap for having that mindset, they really make a bad image for bts...tbh kpop before was so peaceful (a little toxic but still, compared to now...BYE) and everything was just about idols and fans love, listening and supporting and loving their music and just so comforting... urgh anyway thats all i wanna say and here are some texts i saved relating to kpop groups going famous worldwide uwu

Kpop has become extremely toxic with the growth of international fans and the rise of 3rd/4th gen. I wasn't around to experience the previous generations, but I know damn well they weren't a mess like these newer ones are.

Gaining fame in America does seem to change idols, and idk why. The group members change and the music changes also. While I do enjoy hearing idols swear (guilty pleasure) and I am an American so I get to enjoy their English songs, I can see how it makes all the other cultures/countries feel some type of way.

I will say this, though, the Grammys are shit and I dont get why people care so much about them. They've proven time and time again the awards don't go to the best artists. However, this doesn't mean that I think BTS deserved a Grammy imo.

Americans are a very toxic and hate filled bunch (again, I am one, so I get to see this shit every day). I 100% know that some of the hate directed towards Asians is because of racism (as seen by the insane uptick in crime against Asian Americans right now) and because some see kpop male idols as too feminine.

BTS is literally everywhere, which is one of the reasons I stopped listening to them tbh. They'd be in commercials, on talk shows, late night shows, in magazines, on the radio, just everywhere. It took the joy out of watching anything from them just because they were always in my face, so I can see what you mean.

I feel like the relationship between BTS and army has changed (from an outsiders perspective). Its no longer about loving and supporting your group and being happy for them. Now, its "so-so wants this? We MUST do everything in our power and spam every possible thing ever so they get what they want". Its almost frightening. They also no longer care about the quality of the music being put out. Doesn't matter what it is, they stream the ever loving shit out of it and make it break records when, honestly, it doesn't deserve to (again imo).

Lastly, I didnt get mad or offended haha. I understand a lot of these viewpoints, and thank you so much for liking my work!! I do wonder what would happen if I made a true BBH centric fic and not just spin offs or continuations of previous works where oc ends up with BBH 🤔🤔 I think that fic would have too much power haha.

what’s it about: where you and renjun hate each other’s guts, but still want to fuck the shit out each other. how’s the progress: i have about 2k words in and first scene established. what do you love the most about it? the final installment of ridin club and that i get to write a bratty renjun HAHAHA 

- last first kiss (haechan):

what’s it about: college first love story: it’s about hyuck being absolutely whipped and a nervous wreck over y/n bc of how much he loves them. how’s the progress: i have two short paragraphs written so far LOL what do you love the most about it? it’s part of denise’s collab and i admire her so much and another hyuck fic, he’s my fav person to write for.

what’s it about: in which an ambitious slytherin and a loyal hufflepuff find their way back to a forever love. how’s the progress: i have an outline for it and genuinely the most excited to write for this one. what do you love the most about it? it’s part 2 to my passion project: push and pull! and more slytherin!doyoung content!!

idk if this makes sense by im a big mixture of y/n from backseat chronicles, push and pull, and slide thru LOL i like writing confident y/n characters where they are highly adored by everyone and is immensely sought out for just by their aura, which is me projecting LMAO i want to be this kind of person so thats why i write y/n like that. while i feel like the works i listed above still have that aspect, the demeanor is less.. bold? it’s more of member chasing y/n instead of y/n initiating moves? and that is more me HAHA im shy
