Arc 4: Suffering
815 words
The dust settled gradually, making the stale air of the chamber even harder to breathe. Gethin stayed low, forcing himself to calm down before he faced his next challenge. He wanted nothing more than to find an easy exit from this bizarrely personal hell of a labyrinth, but he knew in the progressively sinking pit of his stomach that it was only going to get worse.
"You've made it further than I thought you would," a thin voice emerged from the darkness ahead, "The Mastermind promised you would be a tough nut to crack. I must admit I'm impressed, Gethin of Valenwood."
Gethin pushed himself to his feet, resisting the urge to cough.
"Who's there?" he called out, "Show yourself!"
"Very well."
Torches burst to life along the walls of the chamber, revealing it to be far smaller than Gethin could have hoped for, given its occupant. The tall Altmer who stood mere paces from Gethin wore loose, faded scarlet robes, emphasizing his unnaturally emaciated frame. His pale golden hair hung in lifeless strands around his long face. His cheeks were sunken and shadowed, his eyes an unnerving blood red. A chill gripped Gethin's spine as he realized what creature blocked his path to escape.
"Vampire..." he whispered, feeling a tremble enter his hands. He clenched them into tight fists to hide it.
"Indeed I am," the Altmer confirmed, "Quite ancient and skilled in the arcane arts, as you have seen from my welcome party, but fear not. I will not harm you until you have been given time to prepare to meet me in combat."
"I'm assuming this isn't optional," Gethin cautioned, not comforted in the slightest by the vampire's words.
"If you want the piece of the mask I guard, you must take it from me by force. I will give you time to find a suitable weapon, but when that time runs out, if you have not reached the final chamber, I will hunt you down wherever you hide and drain you of every drop of blood you possess. Have I made myself clear?"
Gethin swallowed, a lump of fear lodged in his throat, and an icy sweat trickled down the back of his neck.
"Perfectly," he answered, uncomfortably aware that the vampire could sense his every microexpression of mortal terror, "How much time do I have and what am I looking for?"
The skeletal Altmer gave what could be considered a smile, but its sinister intent was far too palpable.
"I will give you thirty minutes to find your way through the passages behind me, retrieve your weapon, and meet me in the final chamber," he explained, "This is more than enough time if you don't dawdle. You must select a weapon suitable to you - I cannot tell you which is the correct choice for obvious reasons. In the final chamber, you will find the piece of the mask shrouded in ash and blood. I will not restrain myself in guarding it. You will need to kill me if you want to escape."
"Sounds straightforward enough," Gethin commented, "I imagine there's a catch somewhere?"
The vampire glided towards him suddenly, faster than Gethin could blink. He towered over him, his sanguine eyes piercing through his very soul.
"Gethin. Has anything in your life been easy or straightforward? Have you ever been able to trust someone's word at face value? Have you not been betrayed by every person you believed in the most? Consider my task. I shall be waiting at the end."
Gethin froze solid as the vampire lingered, but managed to keep his voice steady.
"I have one more question for you before we begin," he said, "How do you know me?"
The vampire chuckled and reached into his robes, producing a bound lock of wavy, honey blonde hair, which he dangled tauntingly over Gethin's head. Gethin's gut wrenched at the sight of it. He would recognize that hair in any context.
Alaia.
"Aside from the research done on your history, I have been following your group at the request of the Mastermind for some time now," the vampire revealed, his voice somehow even airier than before, "I know you care for them, despite the front you put up. I know you care for Alaia most of all, and I will take great pleasure in tearing her apart should you fail here."
"Keep her name out of your filthy mouth," Gethin growled through gritted teeth, surprising himself with his burst of courage.
"Her name won't be the only part of her in my mouth if you don't hurry."
With that, the vampire vanished into a fine mist, which then swept into the doorway at the far end of the chamber and out of sight. Gethin's heart pounded hard against his ribs, his breaths becoming uneven and strained. He had to survive now, if not for his own sake, for Alaia's.

In a way the whole "Izuku is the Dragonborn" fic would need to leave most of the backstory of Izuku the 4-14 years old dragon slayer on luck or Inko doing all the work while Izuku is, like, put in a position of safety (he still needs to eat dragon souls tho, same for Miraaks... How would that work even?) So I might need to move things around a bit.
Basically here's the backstory on all major shit:
Helgen: Inko and Izuku run away with Hadvar. They are not scheduled for execution because, you know, Hadvar might not go out of his way for a stranger but there is a small kid involved, younger than his cousin dammit, way younger than your usual Stormcloak Child Soldier Conscript from Dawnstar (an actual canon thing believe it or not) so he puts his foot down. In the keep Hadvar does most of the work obviously, even if Inko does, in her desperation, cut down people getting dangerously close to Izuku. She is a better lockpick than she expected, especially with her Quirk, and Izuku in his curiosity ends up pawing off the book and a strange, mysterious ring inside the Mage's cell. They then go to Riverwood with Hadvar, where they are directed to both Farengar and the College for matters regarding magical space travel, so to speak.
Riverwood: However, they are pennyless and alone in a foreign world, so Inko tries first to make money by working at the local lumber mill as she sends a courier to Whiterun for the Dragon Thing. Assume we are playing with my modded version of the game, which means Riverwood is currently the home of one Triss Merigold from the Witcher. She is also spacially displaced as of late, and is searching for Yennefer, Ciri and Geralt, with whom she jumped into this reality before getting lost from them. Dorthe and Frodnar will direct the small Izuku to her, since Dorthe is the one "babysitting" Izuku while his mother works so he's playing with the slightly older kids. Basically, they know she is a mage of some sort since she showed them some sort of light show, and Inko still needs to make money if she wants to leave with the proper equipment so they can't even go to Farengarym yet.
This allows us to 1) Set up the Triss Merigold X Midoriya Inko endgame and NO I AM NOR FUCKING STUTTERING and 2) Give Inko a competent bodyguard of sorts before she actually does get used to the unforgiving land of Skyrim and starts giving people heart attacks with her Quirk.
Of the Major Guilds:
Companions: Inko Joins as a way to make money for Izuku. With the mercenary work she manages to buy the house in Whiterun, so now Izuku can be left in a safe location, with "Aunt" Lydia as his babysitter. Whiterun Shenanigans ensue with Izuku befriending Lucia and Lars. Also Braith but, like, after lots of character development. Lucia is obviously the first to be adopted.
Inko is the one who becomes a werewolf and the Harbinger in the end, Izuku is not involved in this Storyline outside of some encounters with "Aunt" Aela and "Uncles" Vilkas and Farkas. Inko renounces her condition in the end.
College of Winterhold: They move to winterhold together since Farengar can't help them. Izuku is actually a quick study, as exemplified to that one spell book he found in helgen that thought him within seconds how to shoot lightning from his hands, much to his mother's worry. He ends up killing a bandit in self defense that way when he's barely 5. It was either do that or let them get to his mom.
Anyway, Inko is enrolled, but so is Izuku, the two now living on College Grounds. Triss is also there as an honorary lecturer. Anyway, Whe most of the adventuring is still done by Inko, is Izuku who receives the visit of the Psijic Order and, ultimately, he is the one to kill Ancano and close the eye of Magnus. Inko becomes Archmage still, even if she tries her hardest to have Toldfir step up instead.
The way Izuku kills Ancano is actually more based on guile than actual magical prowess. He is the only one not paralyzed in the boss fight, so what he does, is grab one of J'Zargo experimental Scrolls, summon a Skeleton Minion (Oblivion spell he was recently taught so to have someone protecting him in times of crisis), and then run with it against Ancano, too busy as he is being a megalomaniac, suicide bombing himself. He survives, but only thanks to the Restoration Professor quick intervention as Ancano dies and the paralysis falters.
Restoration magic did save the day in the end.
J'Zargo, who is usually aloof and snarky over his experiments, is actually horrified his rival's son almost got killed because of him, so he pledges he will do everything in his power to find a way to help them with their issue. He is a great magician after all, and his class is one of the brightest to date, they can find a way out for them.
Dragon War: Since all they can do now is wait for the College, Inko returns to Whiterun with Izuku and Triss, but on the way the watchtower is attacked, Mirmulmir is slain, and Izuku absorbs his dragon soul. This jumpstarts the events of Skyrim, with Izuku and Inko having to go on a pilgrimage to High Hrothgar to better understand what is happening to her son, who is now terrified of talking least he blew his mother apart with his voice.
A 5 years old kid makes a poor warrior, so the Greybeard offer to train him for his destiny, but Inko refuses. They don't need her son to kill dragons, just to eat their souls, so what she can do, is do the actual dragon slaying, and then have Izuku eat the souls. This still forces her to bring Izuku on her adventures, which isn't ideal, but only the dragon related ones. Izuku still learns the shouts of unrelenting force and whirlwind sprint as well as Dragonrend, but is Inko the one wielding the blade.
As a side note, Paarthurnax, for once not having to deal with a 4th era Nord, can finally give the unadulterated lore of the order rather than the imperialized, akatosh centric one, which leads Izuku to grow interested in Kyne, Warrior-Widow of Shor, for how much she reminds him of his mom.
Anyway, Inko is the one doing most of the stuff, Paarthurnax isn't killed, and Izuku gets two dragon buddies, one a wise and aging mentor war criminal, the other a brash and snarky red dragon he can call with his voice.
Izuku and Inko go both to Sovengarde. Inko meets back Kodlak, but also Ysgramor, who she now recognizes as a war criminal bastard, and she is the one dealing the killing blow on Alduin. Inko, Breath of Kyne, is the one sand in the songs now, the mother of the dragonborn who delivered them from evil.
Thieves Guild: Inko also does it all, but is the start of Izuku's involvement with Daedras. Inko takes the pledge to Nocturnal, so her soul is now bound to her realm, but is her son that catches the Prince's eye. Inko also tries to reform the guild back to its old robin hood ways, with divergent results.
Explorer Guild: This is the Legacy of the Dragonborn Mod. Inko founds the explorers guild and moves to the now bigger home in the Museum in Solitude. Proudspire manor has been bought by Yennefer, now advisor to Queen Elisif, who thanks to her influence has grown more confident. Girlboss helping Girlboss prosper and all that. She lives there with husband and daughter, and there's a reunion with Triss. Usual angst about "is she going to leave me? Are our adventures over?" But Triss stays because she cares about Inko and shit.
Anyway, inko is the one doing most of the stuff here too, but she now has a big enough home to adopt more than just Lucia.
She adopts every orphan, as well as Sissel and Britte in Rorikstead after murdering their abusive father. She then kills Grelod in Riften, so to also be able to adopt the orphans at the orphanage. To do so, she catches the attention of the Dark Brotherhood since she just stolen their contact. She of course adopts Aventus Aretino too.
Dark Brotherhood: All Inko. Unlike thieves guild, Izuku isn't even aware she's doing this, since he's back in Solitude with his new siblings.
Princes:
Izuku does Sheogorath. He's playing in the streets with his siblings and the other Solitude kids, when he finds Sheogorath abandoned follower. So he sneaks in the blue palace, gets to the forbidden wing, and meets Sheogorath, the Hero of Kvatch. Does his quest since it's a pretty easy quest even for a 5 years old kid, and then gets the Wabbajack in exchange.
Inko does Sanguine. The sham marriage is actually to Triss this time, which leads to more angst obviously.
Inko also does Vaermina (destroying the staff), Dagon (Destroying the Razor), Hircine (Gets the Ring), Malacath, Namira (Saves the priest and kills the cannibals), Molag Bal (Just... Never completes his quest and leaves the bastard hanging), Boethia (sacrifices one of the two racist dudes in Windhelm after trucking him into following her), Azura (Uncorrupted Star) and Peryte.
Izuku finds Meridia's Beacon but it's Inko who does the quest.
Izuku is the one meeting Barbas and they have "A boy and his dog" adventures together before he manages to bring him back to Clavicus Vile and convince him to take him back without needing to do his quest. He gets the Mask as a Result, but also a dog in the form of Styx, the spectral wolf, another mod.
Izuku does Mephala, pretty early on too. He befriends Baalgruf's bastard son while still living in Whiterun, who tells him about the whispering door, and after a couple of deceptions he gets the blade. He never charges it tho.
While is Inko the one getting the Ogma Infinium, she can't open it, and is Izuku the one opening it and gaining the boost in knowledge, as well as becoming Herma Mora champion.
Dawnguard and Dragonborn are also done by Inko, but is Midoriya who is sent to Apocrypha when she opens a black book. There he has a odd "Older Sibling trying to murder Younger Sibling" relationship with Miraak, and is ultimately forced to see him get killed by Herma Mora. Aunt Serana becomes a permanent fixture in the house.
Bard College is done by Inko but Izuku is also part of the college now.
Most quests are done by Inko, but the misc quests that require either speech or guile are done by Izuku, especially if they involve children. This includes stuff like paying for Erik the Slayer armor in Rorikstead, or cheering up that girl in Solitude whose uncle was executed for aiding in regicide.
Speaking of which:
Civil War: Inko does it obviously, and she sides with the empire, because 1) Hadvar, 2) Baalgruf, and 3) Elisif.
And also because she went to Windhelm one time to stop a serial killer and gods she couldn't believe how racist those fuckers were.
Modded followers are obviously Inigo, Lucien and Shirley Curry, to name a few.
Forgotten City is done by Inko, Izuku is not even in the time loop. Project AHO is done by Inko and ends with her freeing the slaves and murdering every single slaver in the settlement. Most modded quest mods are done by her honestly.
Izuku obviously keeps himself up to date with his magical studies, which means around 8-10 years old he moves back to winterhold, still waiting for a way home, so J'Zargo can study him to reverse engineer his quirk, and he can learn more spells. Most of his siblings are almost of age by now too, and his mother has started calming down in her worry, since she trusts her old coursemates and teacher to keek Izuku safe...
Ok, no, she trusts Onmund and Toldfir to keep Izuku safe, in this order, but it's still more people she would trust if he started living with any of her other guilds.
Anyway, can't think of much else.

Here are my top Zutara fanfiction recs.
The biggest factor in my ranking and why I recommend them is because I had a hard time putting them down. Other than that, they are pretty all over the place in terms of content and setting.
His Majesty Prefers Blue by Shamelessliar
Rated M  212K+ words  Completed 2012
A year after the war's end, the gaang returns to the Fire Nation for a week of diplomatic meetings. There, they hear rumors about a vigilante who wears a blue mask and Katara finds herself digging deeper into his identity and motives. Blue/Zutara Lemons
Trigger warnings: rape, torture (1 scene)
This is my absolute favorite fic. It has a little bit of everything: romance, humor, drama, suspense. There is an actual plot too! It is also one of few fics which show Zuko and Katara being a great team.
When The Mask Comes Off by Jamie Hasaku
Rated K  73K+ words  Completed 2006
After freeing her and her friends from capture, Zuko has no choice but to care for a gravely injured Katara, who was left behind by accident. The trick? Keeping his face hidden so she doesn’t hurt herself even more by trying to fight him. Zutara Blutara
This is not your average capture fic. Katara is still pretty badass. The scene where she finds out who is behind the mask made my heart melt. Hanae is one of my favorite OCs ever! It does have a sequel which has been abandoned, but that doesn't change the fact that this story is wonderful by itself.
The Dragon and the Siren (AO3) The Dragon and the Siren (ff.net) by CultofStrawberry
Rated M/T  147K+ words  Completed 2012
Zutara, Hades x Persephone inspired. In a land of gods and spirits, Katara is the daughter of the Sea, and Zuko is the powerful and reclusive God of the Fire Realms. Zuko has been pining for her for too long... so he finally takes action.
Being a huge fan of Greek mythology and A:TLA, I did not think I would enjoy this fic. I was pleasantly surprised as the author combined the two seamlessly. The worldbuilding is amazing and the tale is not an exact replica of the myth. The AO3 link contains smut, but is incomplete. The fanfiction link has the completed story.
  Subterfuge by Smylealong
Rated M  113K+ words  WIP last updated Oct 2020
Thirty years ago, the Fire Nation attacked, throwing the world off balance. Katara entered the Fire Nation war camp at Ba Sing Se as a healer, prepared to do whatever it takes to play her part in stopping the war. Getting kidnapped with the Fire Prince and falling in love with him were not parts of the plan. AU. Zutara.
Trigger Warnings: Sexual Assault, Incest, Graphic Depiction of Violence
This fic is VERY dark. However, the writing is amazing which more than makes up for it.
Dancing in the Dark by DamageCtrl
Rated T  61K+ words Complete 2006
Post-Season 2 AU: While in Ba Sing Se, Katara and Toph hear a rumor about two tea servers in the lower tiers of Ba Sing Se and sneak away go to investigate only to have their suspicions confirmed. On her personal time, Katara tries to teach herself to dance and fails so badly, a masked man takes pity on her to try to help.
In case you haven't noticed, I LOVE the Blue Spirit. This fic is full of fluff, and awkward Zuko is my favorite Zuko. It does start slow, but once you get into it, it is a pretty cute story. Zuko is the one with multiple suitors for once.
Twist Me to the Left by Grapefruittwostep
Rated T  91K+ words  Complete 2017
So here Zuko is, with no family, no band, and no more record contract. Just another punker with a guitar who thinks he's got what it takes. Then he meets Avatar, the band breaking all the rules. They've got everything going for them, the rising star, and they're everything Zuko isn't. But maybe, just maybe, they want a new guitarist. As long as the pretty keyboardist with the blue eyes doesn't murder Zuko first.
Warnings: References to Drugs
This is a college age AU with an angsty emo/punk Zuko. A fluffy enemies to lovers trope, but fun nonetheless.
Don't Stand So Close To Me by Cinemascope08
Rated M  76K+ words  Abandoned 2013
Katara and the Gaang are in full swing at Ba Sing Se University when interactions with a new professor start affecting Katara's life in increasingly complicated ways. Rated M for scenes of a graphic nature.
Trigger Warning: Torture, Murder, BDSM, Incest
Another really dark fic, but it takes a bit to get there. Once it does, you are hooked by the suspense. It is abandoned, but still a good read.
So let us melt and make no noise by LittleLostStar
Rated M 69K+ words  WIP last updated Jan 2021
When a mission to the South Pole goes awry, Prince Zuko awakens in the home of a healer named Katara and finds his heart is damaged and his bending has vanished. His quest to find the last waterbender of the Southern Water Tribe is his destiny-- the one chance to regain his honour and return home. But as time passes and Zuko's heart heals, it becomes clear that Katara is protecting an ancient secret of her own, and that both of their destinies are entwined in ways never before thought possible.
We get to see Zuko at the mercy of Katara here. And this fic has an actual plot to it, which is an easy way to get into my good graces. There is a lot of mystery and suspense. It has slow updates, but the author has commented that she intends to complete it.
Butterflies and Hurricanes by Rerbirth of the Phoenix
Rated T  103K+ words  Complete 2012
"You may find yourself capturing hearts that you are forbidden to keep." She is a servant. He is a Prince. Together they are about to go against everything that keeps the world at peace. Zutara
This one took me a bit to get into, as I was bothered by the ages at the start. Fortunately, it takes place over several years so we see the relationship develop. No spoilers, but wow the ending really got me.
  The Penance Series by delectate

The road to forgiveness is long and arduous...just ask Zuko. Season 3 Zutara, following the episodes past 312. Rated M for Mature.
Warnings: BDSM
Zuko is taken prisoner at the western air temple. As it turns out, Zuko is a masochist and Katara lets her freak flag fly. I like this one because it does such a different take on the characters, and it actually makes sense that Zuko would be a masochist since he has such a messed up family.

Zutara AU. An orphaned Katara and her brother find themselves at boarding school. Katara's first thoughts are that her life will now be filled with boredom. How wrong she was!
Trigger Warnings: Child Abuse
This is a bonus rec. While not super high on my list, it is still an enjoyable story. Plus, I really like the boarding school premise since I love shows like Rebelde and Het Huis Anubis. I would have liked to see more drama with Jet though. Still a good one if you are looking for fluff.

Katara’s organic chemistry TA is an asshole ----- or is he?
A texting/social media fic that I reread all the time because it is just that GOOD! I love the way the author uses all the character's interactions to tell a cohesive story.

Katara overshares on the internet. Zuko makes it a point to only lurk. Good thing there's nothing tying their online adventures to their real lives — right?
Or, Katara and Zuko have something of a history, and when they reconnect after months of silence, there could be more going on behind the scenes than they realize.
If you haven't heard of this one, you should! It is though social media posts and text, and it is just wonderful!

Note
You know, I keep seeing art of Kanna taking Shin's scarf after his death. Which is very cute and heartbreaking! But as that scarf has a lot of emotional baggage, metaphorically chaining Shin to Sou, may I propose an alternative? Kanna with Shin's beanie. Additional bucket is optional.
Dear Anon! Love that you would ask me about this. This is something I think about a lot!
First of all, let me say that I adore all the fan art of Kanna taking Shin’s scarf. It’s an obvious, meaningful way for fans to connect the two characters and their special relationship. I admit that I’m also a huge fan of the scarf itself! It’s such a gorgeous piece of clothing—obviously the nicest thing Shin owns in comparison to the rest of his drab attire. It pops in such a satisfying colorful way.
However, the deeper reason that I love the scarf is because I love Shin himself. I love the scarf because I associate it with him. On a purely visual level, it adds so much spark to his character design.
But the truth behind the scarf is more complicated, isn’t it?
Symbolically, the scarf is Shin's mask. It’s Original Sou’s scarf. It's a bully’s scarf. It’s what Shin uses to hide his kind, vulnerable self. That’s why he’s not wearing it in his redemption when he dies, while he’s clinging to it once again in the route where he lives and swears revenge.
I truly understand why folks would want Shin to leave the scarf to Kanna. (In one of my earliest posts, I even called that idea one of my favorite headcanons.) Because we, as fans, associate that scarf most closely with Shin! It’s the most iconic aspect of his design! And wouldn’t it make sense for Kanna to associate the scarf with Shin too? Wouldn’t it make sense for Kanna to take Shin’s scarf to honor him and show her affection for him, since that scarf was part of how Kanna knew him?
If Kanna and Shin were real people, and if the scarf was a real object, then yes, that would make sense. But they’re literary characters, and the scarf is a symbol.
Symbolically, Kanna cannot take Shin’s scarf.
The irony here is that even though we associate the scarf with Shin, he associates it with Original Sou and their abusive relationship. But we don’t learn the full truth behind the scarf until late in the story.
To be honest, if Kanna innocently took the scarf intending to honor Shin, I believe that she would also grow uncomfortable upon learning the truth. She would have conflicting emotions on whether this was the best way to truly honor someone who sacrificed himself for her. The truth would cut her more deeply than it cuts at us, because Shin/Sou is someone real to her. I think she would still associate the scarf with the man she knew, but the truth complicates everything in the most painful way possible, doesn’t it?
So the things that Kanna takes from Shin in the game’s story aren’t tangible things. She doesn’t get an easy object that she can cling to for courage, like how Shin desperately clung to his old friend’s scarf. Instead, she receives something harder but more important: a lesson. Shin’s lesson to Kanna is that her life has value and she is loved.
I don’t believe that Original Sou gave that lesson to Shin before he passed away. But Our Sou is very different from Original Sou.
Still, it is still natural to want Kanna to have a physical token of her friend, even if the story doesn’t emphasize it. Like the beanie, as you said. (Nankidai even drew Kanna wearing the beanie!)
Actually, if I can get away with a little self-promotion, a user named SarIIon wrote a short sequel to my fanfiction, “Dance Monkey Dance,” in the comments section of my fic in Ao3. They wrote a touching scenario in which Kanna takes Shin’s key necklace! If you’re interested in that sort of thing, or if you already read my fanfiction and liked it, I highly recommend checking the comments and reading it! Since I basically consider it canon for my story, haha.
Just speaking of Shin’s clothes, his key necklace fascinates me! SarIIon and I discussed its possible symbolic meaning in those comments too. To be sure, it is a much more mysterious object than the scarf, and we don’t know the whole truth behind it. But it’s definitely symbolic! Look, maybe my man can’t afford the nicest clothes, but he still dresses himself in literary symbols so he gets to be interesting.
Even if Nankidai doesn’t explain the key necklace, it seems meaningful that Shin kept it hidden behind his scarf. Speaking practically, I believe that it’s what he uses to unlock his collar. But looking at it symbolically, it may be a key meant for himself, for his own heart. As SarIIon beautifully said, “only he had the exit to the Hiyori-shaped box he locked himself within.”
And I believe that the decision to vote for either Sou or Kanna will be the “key” decision in the game. If I’m right on my theory, that necklace may even foreshadow Our Sou ultimately taking the “keymaster” role. Which means that Kanna might take that role in her own route? If she does, and if she continues on her quest to learn more about Shin, then it may make more sense for her to take that necklace after all.
But that’s all headcanon and speculation. In any case…I’m still weak for that scarf’s aesthetic, heh. I’d buy it in a heartbeat.

Guess who’s back with shitty stats?
Writers in Quarantine
This list is for all fics UPDATED in March, 2020. I’ll be doing another list for new March stories. Happy writing to my fellow authors! Readers, please remember to share the love as we all slowly go crazy from being stuck inside. ALSO! Share this list, because Tumblr will ignore it due to the external links!
As always, I excluded Underage, Rape/Non-Con (LOOK AT TAGS FOR #5), and Crossovers.
And finally, these numbers are arbitrary. This list is not a judgement of works but is merely to push up stories that might get overlooked.

fit the crown to my head
“What’s the fun in a masquerade if you don’t flirt outrageously with the prettiest person in the room?” the young man says flippantly, and then winks at Keith. Keith huffs a laugh, amused.
“You keep saying things like that, but you haven’t seen my face,” he says, gesturing to his mask. “I could have warts under here. I could have spots, or scars.”
“You’d be lovely even with all of those,” the young man says, and he suddenly sounds serious. It takes Keith by surprise, makes his heart twist along with his stomach. “Your eyes,” he continues, tilting his head. “I’ve never seen eyes like yours before.”

He’s fucked. Royally screwed. A Touch of Magic
"Keith—" He feels his heart lurch as Keith squats down next to him. One hand on his wolf's head, scratching behind his ear. His eyes, however, remain fixed on Lance, and he had really hoped that the whole dry-mouth-lump-in-the-throat-heart-skipping-a-beat thing would've stopped happening when he turned, but here he is. Vampiric and still the flustered mess he was when he was human. "Buddy, I can't breathe—"
"You don't have to breathe," He says, that ghost of a smile still fixed and the whisper of amusement in his voice.
It sends chills down his spine.
Lance huffs as much as he can when there's a large wolf crushing his chest. "That doesn't mean it's not uncomfortable."
"You'll survive." He pats his wolf one last time before pushing to his feet. "Better luck next time, Lance."
"I'll get you one day, Keithy boy." He calls out as Keith walks away, disappearing from his vision and continuing down the path. "Just you wait."

And this forest - this mountainous landscape seemingly untouched by human hands - holds more than just a vast array of scenic landscapes and wondrous wildlife worthy of being captured in film.
It holds a secret. One Keith hadn't anticipated discovering, much less believing. And though they say "take only pictures, leave only footprints", Keith worries that when he finally has to return to his mundane world, he'll be leaving more than just tracks on the ground.
But his heart has always belonged to the woods, and he knows the fox will guard it well.

Nameless
Lance McClain was not pale. He enjoyed the sun as much as any other, and though he was often run down or fatigued, this was due to his steadily amounting college work, not his need to sleep upside down. He was everything a vampire wasn't. Oh, except for his constant cravings for blood, and the name in cursive permanently scrawled over his wrist.
Since the name had appeared on Lance's thirteenth birthday, he'd been desperately waiting for the day he'd finally meet his soulmate. And it finally comes, the first day of his second year of college, delivering a boy that causes everything Lance had fantasized to come crashing down around him. Not only is his mate a human, but he's the kind of human that despises vampires. A hunter named Keith.
But matters of the heart aren't the only thing standing in Lance's way, for a much greater enemy is on the horizon, posing a threat not only to Lance and his family, but to Keith, too. The nameless are coming for them, and soon.
Words: 102,409 AO3
Were-woof
Living off the grid is one thing. Keith had been doing it his whole life. However, now that the mountain he has lived on his whole live is slowly being developed thanks to a ski resort it's getting harder and harder for Keith to keep to himself. Especially when he happens to catch the eye of a rather cute looking townie.
Words: 133,954 AO3
An Eternal Flame
“Do you have a deathwish?” The phoenix answers him with a question this time, apparently intent on dodging the question about its name. Maybe it’s for the best, Lance’s mama always warned him that he tended to get attached to things once he’d named them. He closes his eyes, takes a deep breath.
He isn’t going to get attached this time.
Making sure that he’s still holding the phoenix’s attention, he reaches down and pushes his cloak aside, then lifts his shirt. There, bright red and ugly against his hip, are three long slashes. They aren’t scars, they aren’t healed in the slightest, they’re still red and open wounds. They don’t hurt, not in the physical sense, but Lance can’t help the repulsion he feels whenever he looks at them.
“Not a deathwish, a death sentence.”

So I’ve been going through all my old Scrivener files and rounding up all the various fics and updates I’m planning on queuing up to post during the month/however-the-fuck-long I’m bedridden after surgery in a couple weeks. Which includes Teen Wolf as well as Batfics, FYI.
Anyway, came across this old WIP that I never ended up posting because I ultimately thought it felt too similar to both Where Wild Things Are and Lightning Crashes, just in different ways....not enough that any of them were derivative of each other, but enough that I wasn’t super inspired to continue writing it because the vibe I was going for with it, I was already getting from writing those other two fics.
But I still liked it and think there was some good stuff there, so what the hell. Here’s an opening from a never-planning-on-finishing-it Scallison AU, where things diverged from canon right after the Hale fire six years pre-pilot, and there was a different-from-canon McCall pack at war/trying to survive Peter’s pack in its attempts to stamp theirs out.
The Scallison part starts out in the vein of the ABC show Revenge, where Scott’s initially just trying to keep an eye on the hunters in town/figure out where the Argents land in all of this, but then, y’know. The feelings happen.
Anyway, it was chock full of my favorite TW writing tropes - runaway/long lost Scott, pack politics, side characters turned main characters, scheming, double-dealing, Scott Is A Goddamn Genius and No I Do Not Accept Constructive Criticism On This Matter For It Is Wrong....you know, my usuals.
I did have a pretty extensive outline/summary for the rest of the fic and my plans for it, that I can post if there’s any interest in reading that and seeing where this was going. *Shrugs* Just let me know.
WHAT THE FIRES LEFT BEHIND
Scott McCall came home on a Tuesday.
For Allison, that didn’t mean much at first.  Her only context for the mass text was the bemused quirking of Lydia’s lips and a rather underwhelming ‘Huh.’ Then a shrug and a flick of her hair, and her best friend by default returned to ruffling through the Macy’s clearance rack with a vengeance.
“Awful. Grotesque. Needs to be set ablaze, immediately - ”
Allison nodded to herself and bore continued witness to Lydia’s evisceration of every hack designer of every fashion atrocity present, though sadly, the novelty of that had long since worn off. It was 7 pm on a school night. They’d been scouring the mall for something to meet Lydia’s approval for three hours already, and Allison did have trigonometry homework she could be torturing herself with instead, so….
Tough call. Hard choices had to be made. Allison steeled herself for battle and called Lydia Martin on her bullshit.
“Why are we here again? You hate Macy’s, and you absolutely despise clearance items.”
“I know that, and you know that.” Lydia emerged from a forest of polyester blouses wearing a look of disdain that had a ph level that would put any acid in the school’s chem lab to shame. “But I’m trying to see if I can find something here to start a trend with anyway.  Call it…a social experiment.”
“Hmm.” Allison nodded again thoughtfully. Briefly, she considered mercy. But she had just wasted three hours of her life. And mercy wasn’t really the Argent family way.
She pulled the trigger. “You sure its not called Daddy cut your spending limit?”
Her melodrama-prone friend threw her hands up as if to express the whole world had gone mad and nothing made any sense. “It’s like he’s not even trying to buy my affection anymore!”
Allison coughed into her hand to smother a giggle. Being able to so easily rile up her friend when all others’ attempts dashed themselves harmlessly upon Her Majesty’s porcelain mask of perfection? Still her favorite sport next to archery. But certain social norms must be respected. One didn’t openly mock a friend in such obvious distress. She quickly changed the subject. For Lydia’s sake, really.
“So who’s Scott McCall?”
Lydia paused midway through working herself up to a truly tickets and popcorn-worthy rant, thrown by the sudden segue. “What?”
Allison waved her phone, flashing the mass text Danny had sent out to pretty much everyone in the Beacon County zip code.
“Scott McCall’s back. He just walked into the Sheriff’s Station. Stiles saw him himself,” she read out loud. “Who’s Scott McCall?”
“Oh. That.” Lydia tore her horrified gaze away from a leopard print mini-skirt and shrugged. “He’s this guy from our class who disappeared seven years ago. You know that Dunbar kid’s stepmom, Melissa? It’s her son.”
“Wait, seriously? And he’s our age? How have I never heard about this before?”
“I don’t know, Allison,” Lydia rolled her eyes. “Maybe because normal people don’t talk about things that depress them? It was a long time ago anyway.”
“I can tell it had a real effect on you,” Allison said, with just a touch of acid herself.
“I’m in the midst of a personal financial crisis currently. I’ll care when its over. Besides, its not like anyone has any details yet. Pointless gossip is for the peasants.”
“So what happened anyway?” Allison asked. Lydia shot her a look and she smiled innocently. “What? I’m comfortable with my peasant status. And I’ve lived here almost two years now and never heard a word about this. How can I not be curious?”
“Well this was an utter waste of time,” Lydia said under her breath as she gingerly replaced a sequin-studded monstrosity back on the rack, seemingly preoccupied once more. Or possibly just flat-out ignoring her.
The menace of the malls then raised her eyes to the ceiling as if despairing at the world at large, heaved a sigh that was practically a soliloquy unto itself, and ran her fingers through her hair in some kind of ritual of self-composure.
Once she’d observed the proper formalities for conceding her quest was officially a failure - at least, Allison was pretty sure that’s what she was doing, though she’d rather not commit to that, given that some of the intricacies of her friend’s habits still eluded her grasp - Lydia finally slung her purse over her shoulder and set off towards the exit with an imperious wave of her head.
It was only when her brisk walk stalled out while waiting for the garage elevator that Her Highness deigned to address the lowly commoner’s curiosity.
Allison just sighed internally. She’d long since made her peace with her friend’s little power games. They were entertaining as often as they were exasperating, so it was sort of a pick your battles type situation, and Allison preferred to err on the side of not waking the beast beneath Lydia’s deceptively dainty exterior.
“You know about the Hale fire, right?” Lydia asked.
Allison nodded. It wasn’t an everyday topic of conversation by any means, but it had come up at least once or twice since her family moved to Beacon Hills two years prior. Talk of the tragedy had even made an appearance in her own home, in a couple of muffled shouting matches between her parents that she’d only caught bits and pieces of.
“Yeah, my Aunt Kate actually lived around here back then. That was the fire that killed that whole family, right?”
“Right. So it was pretty much right around that same time. Scott went missing just a few days after. A lot of people even wondered if there might have been a connection, there were rumors the fire was arson, I don’t know. It was a whole thing, and we were only ten at the time, you know? Anyway, Scott’s dad was this hotshot FBI agent. There were search parties for like two months, but they never found a body or anything. Most people eventually figured it probably had something to do with one of his dad’s cases.”
“And now he’s back,” Allison prodded when Lydia lapsed into silence. The smaller girl just chewed on her lower lip, staring at the wall of the garage almost pensively.
“And now he’s back,” she echoed with a distracted nod of her head.
“That’s....interesting,” Allison offered tentatively. She wasn’t entirely sure what to make of the mood that had fallen over her friend, like a spell had settled upon her the moment she’d actually stopped and reflected on her memories of the events in question.
It seemed somewhat conspicuous to her that Lydia made no mention of who Scott was beyond just the victim of some strange small-town mystery, and so she was uncertain just how cautiously she needed to tread here. Had they been childhood friends? Mere acquaintances? Something else, likely as baffling and unexpected as most things about Lydia Martin tended to be?
But the born and raised Beacon Hills native just shrugged one shoulder listlessly and twirled a strand of strawberry-blond hair around a finger.
“It’s something,” she said at last. The elevator arrived at their level with an almost cheerful-sounding ding that was at odds with the somber mood they stood draped in. Lydia shook herself, a full body kind of motion not unlike a dog drying itself off.
“Are you coming?” She tossed over her shoulder at Allison, sounding almost exasperated, as though she hadn’t been the one just standing there staring at the wall for a good ten seconds after the elevator doors had slid open.
Allison sighed and shook her head, but she held back any retort and instead simply followed her friend down into the lower levels of the garage. Now was not the time to pursue...whatever that whole thing had been, just now.
Lydia Martin had just unwillingly displayed an emotional reaction in front of another person. It was too dangerous to prod for further weak spots in her armor without letting at least a day or two pass first.
The self-styled Queen of Beacon Hills had relieved commoners of their heads for lesser offenses than that.

The Cabin by the Lake (Exclusive): NSFW Morridwen
That night meant nothing.
Mor could still taste the female’s kiss.
She meant nothing.
The sound of her breathless gasps still filled Mor’s fantasies.
None of it meant anything.
A kiss so fiercely passionate it set their blood boiling and drew and undignified moan from her lips.
I love you, Morrigan.
And then she simply vanished.
For three hundred years Mor took up a vigil on the anniversary of their meeting. Centuries of searching for a female no one knew in a city no one could enter or leave. She should have been found in a day- but she’d remained elusive. Mor still took lovers, but a part of her would inevitably compare them to that perfect, dark-skinned female and suddenly they were the ones who meant nothing.
Both of them had been masked and far from sober. The sex wasn’t what stood out in her memory- it was how right everything felt. Her body fit against Mor’s perfectly, her dark skin was a perfect complement to Mor’s golden tone, and the sound of her voice-
-it was the most perfect sound she could imagine.
That perfect match was what her greedy heart craved.
But… nothing. Three hundred years, and not so much as a whisper of her.
Perhaps it wasn’t the mysterious female who meant nothing. Perhaps it was Mor herself.
Would she be disgusted to discover that the third in command of Night was utterly in thrall? Did it make her laugh when she pictured Mor pining away decade after decade? A single night- that was all they’d had. Why did it have to be more than that?
Well, it didn’t have to be, but that was what Mor wanted above all else.
Rhysand was taken Under the Mountain, and Mor forced herself to set aside the ghost of that cruel, divine female. She had to at least try to be stronger for the people of Velaris.
Fifty years passed, and now with Elain, Lucien, and Nesta in tow their expanded family descended on Rita’s for the Feast of Souls. Rhysand and Feyre were… otherwise engaged at home, but Mor was determined to have fun. It didn’t matter that she had felt that anxiety and pain again the moment Rhys returned from Under the Mountain- as if the female were somewhere close. It didn’t matter that the dark eyes of her lover were haunting her once again.  She would have fun, and she would find a way to move on.
Tension hung over Mor, thick and nearly tangible. She felt a twisting guilt in her chest, as if she’d forgotten something. It was a feeling she’d had every Feast of Souls since that blessed and damnable encounter. She always thought ‘Maybe this time she’ll be there,’ and yet she never was.
Still… what if?
As Mor wrestled with the decision to stay on the dance floor or go home, Rita caught her eye, glanced at the door to the upstairs party, and nodded.
It was Rita’s mate who’d introduced her to the stranger. They both knew of Mor’s centuries-long quest for her identity.
Could that mean-
Mor didn’t care who saw her. She ran to the door and took the steps two at a time. Anyone who got in her way was moved with a hurried ‘sorry’ and a not-so-gentle shove. She almost knocked the doors off their hinges in her rush to enter and-
-and sitting at the table Mor had conducted her vigil from was a dark-skinned female in a black dress, her identity hidden behind a black veil and a gold-and-diamond mask that obscured everything beneath her obsidian eyes.
She gave no thought to who may see her unmasked face. Mor went straight to the female she’d loved and lost. Delicate, slender hands slid to her hips as Mor lifted the veil just far enough to seize the female’s mouth- a boundary she’d set on their only meeting. Her shattering kiss was as devastatingly perfect as the last they’d shared.
Mor didn’t even bother to excuse herself from her friends downstairs. Rita would tell them she’d left with someone. She winnowed the female across Velaris, straight into her apartment.
“Where have-“
The female put a finger on Mor’s lips to stop her as they both struggled for breath. They were trembling with need, but the female took a step back.
“I was scared for so long. I thought you would hate me if you knew. Every year I watched you look for me, and every year it killed me to stay away. After Under the Mountain, I refuse to be afraid.”
“Under the Mountain?” Mor paused- then it hit her in a wave of terror and ice. Only two females from Velaris went Under the Mountain- two females far, far too close to the Inner Circle, “Which one?”
There was no hesitation as the half-wraith removed her veil- the shield that gave her the courage to love Mor openly for just one night so many years ago. Her almond-shaped eyes and the crook in her left eyebrow- Mor knew instantly.
“Cerridwen.”
She stared at her for a long time- at Azriel’s spy who she’d loved with quiet ferocity for three long centuries. The female who’d wrecked all others for her, who’d vanished after a kiss that Mor could still feel on her lips even now.
A female who was something far greater than nothing… the one Mor had long since realized… was her mate.
“You didn’t give me a chance last time,” she whispered. “You didn’t wait for me to reply, so let me say it properly now.”
Mor stepped in close, erasing the gap between them. She cupped Cerridwen’s face in her hands and stroked her silken cheeks, just as she’d done after their first and only night together.
I love you Morrigan.
“I love you too.”
Cerridwen barely managed to stifle a sob as Mor grabbed her and drew her into a long, hard kiss. Her entire body was overwhelmed by lightning and fire- by the feeling of that golden female she’d loved so much for so long, it was hard to even breathe each time she was dismissed from her presence.
One of Mor’s hands slid around Cerridwen’s lower back while the other moved up her spline to gently hold the back of her neck. It took three hundred years to find Cerridwen again, she wasn’t about to let go.
Memory tended to distort with time, or so Mor believed. A pleasant memory becomes magical, the bad get worse. After her desperate search, a part of Mor had long since accepted that even if she did find the female, things couldn’t possibly be as perfect as she’d imagined.
She was wrong.
If anything, time had dulled the fantasy of Cerridwen’s lips against hers. Mor couldn’t taste enough of them. They were perfectly formed, and she could hardly stop herself as she sucked Cerridwen’s lower lip between hers, acutely aware of the other returning as much attention to her upper one.
The first brush of Cerridwen’s tongue between her lips elicited a soft, pleading moan. Both still had a barrier up- those same walls of uncertainty and fear that separated them for so long. With Mor’s arms tight around Cerridwen and the wraith’s stroking her hair, they were still two beings.
Separate. Individual. Apart.
So, Mor opened her mouth, and let Cerridwen’s tongue enter.
The taste of her lips had only been a shadow of the divine sweetness Mor found in her mouth. Her own tongue stroked and teased as Cerridwen returned her moans.
Slowly, almost on their own, Cerridwen’s hands moved from Mor’s hair to her back, her sides, her hips. A soft nudge- barely more than a shifting of the feet, adjusted their hips so that each female’s pelvis pressed against the other’s thigh. That pressure sent a shiver through Mor, but it was nowhere near enough.
She broke their kiss and opened her eyes to meet Cerridwen’s gaze. Their bodies were pressed against one another, with pesky clothing keeping them apart. A blush covered the wraith’s chest and cheeks. Her eyes were wide as she panted.
Cerridwen held still as Mor stepped back. Her dark eyes followed a golden hand as it rose to cup her cheek. She turned her gaze back to the shining female and nuzzled her palm, turning ever so slightly to lick at Mor’s thumb, then draw the tip in to lightly scrape with her teeth.
Mor’s eyes never left Cerridwen’s as she traced her thumb along those perfect lips. Once she’d circled back around, the wraith nipped at it once again. Mor slid the thumb in to her mouth to the first knuckle, then began to slowly pump it in and out as Cerridwen started sucking at the skin. She stroked the pad of Mor’s finger with her tongue slowly, showing her exactly what she planned to do between her legs later on.
Aching need was building in Mor and she whimpered at the heat of Cerridwen’s mouth. The apex of her thighs pulsed in time with her lover’s tongue.
Her thumb withdrew and she returned to Cerridwen’s embrace. She cupped her lover’s neck once more and trailed kisses along her jaw, earning a happy sigh. The shy desire in Cerridwen made Mor burn hotter, and she slid a hand down from neck to shoulder, drawing aside the strap of Cerridwen’s black dress. The wraith freed her arm from it entirely and with a kiss of cool air, her breast slipped free.
Red silk scraped across the too-sensitive flesh of her erect nipples as Mor pressed against her. The hand on Cerridwen’s shoulder slid down to the newly exposed flesh. Mor gently squeezed her breast, earning a sweet gasp.
Again, it was even more perfect than Mor remembered. A comfortable handful of warmth and impossibly soft skin that all pulled towards a mahogany nipple the perfect size for nibbling.
Mor swirled her thumb around the nipple before pinching it. Cerridwen’s next gasp was swallowed by Mor’s lips as she drew her once more into a deep, open kiss. Refusing to release Cerridwen’s breast, Mor stepped back and pulled her lover along.
Cerridwen smiled against her lips as Mor pulled her from the foyer to her bedroom. She broke the kiss only to draw some much-needed air. “I’ve had three hundred years to dream of how I would do this.”
“I’ve been dreaming of it far longer.” Cerridwen let or sit on the bed before lifting her skirts and moving to straddle Mor’s hips. She stroked her golden face and smiled at the way it seemed to glow against her darkness. Mor’s arms circled her waist, holding her secure. On a whim, she rested her cheek along the draped fabric of Cerridwen’s half-on dress, her nose gently pressing against the wraith’s breast.
“When Azriel brought Nuala and I to meet you all- the moment I saw you I was lost,” Cerridwen cradled Mor’s head, basking in the miracle that was at last in her arms. No fear, no shame, and no mask to conceal her identity, “I loved you quietly every second those years. Even Nuala noticed I’d lost myself to someone- not that she ever knew who. I went to Rita’s that night because she told me to find a female who could help me forget the other.”
“You always knew it was me beneath the mask, didn’t you? Before I even took it off?” There was pain in her voice, a deep, aching regret for every second they’d lost because of her fears.
“I did,” Cerridwen tipped Mor’s chin up until their eyes met, “and I don’t hold it against you. You looked for me, I was the one hiding. I saw how sad you were and I just- I was too scared of losing you to risk having you.”
“Feyre knows… what I am.” Mor’s arms tightened and she hid her face once more in Cerridwen’s chest, “If it is the only way to be with you, I’ll tell the others.” Her words were muffled, and Cerridwen’s heart cracked.
She returned to stroking Mor’s hair, comforting her, “Don’t you dare, not for me.”
“I would do anything for you,” Mor whispered, and she meant it. Three hundred years apart, and yet now, in Cerridwen’s arms, she knew she’d found home at last.
“Love me,” Cerridwen lifted her face and kissed Mor, “trust me, and hold me. But don’t reveal yourself for me. Do it for you, and only when you’re ready. My sexuality is the easiest part of me for people to understand, so I have never feared it or questioned how others would see me. I can’t imagine how hard it must be to reveal that precious side of yourself and I would never make it a condition of my love for you.”
Mor sobbed against her lips and salty tears mixed into their kiss. Cerridwen was a miracle she didn’t deserve. To the wraith, Mor was a blessing from the divine.
Cerridwen kissed away Mor’s tears, but the golden female needed her to know how much her words and actions meant. She seized Cerridwen’s mouth with hers and rolled to lay her on her back. She kept a hand on the wraith’s cheek as she shifted to straddle her leg and whipped blindly through the fabric of her skirts. Once she found a way in, her fingers reached for Cerridwen’s leg and followed it up towards something warm and swollen with need.
That was where the desperation eased somewhat. Cerridwen had foregone undergarments and Mor’s fingers traced the curve of her smooth entrance. Up and down her finger slid, never enough to part the folds, no matter how Cerridwen whimpered against her mouth or angled her knees out and away- opening herself.
When Mor’s finger parted her at last, it came away shining with moisture.
She continued her light tracing, only offering the tip of her finger- enough to tease the inside of her folds but not touch her entrance or touch her knot. Still, a drop of something slick and sweet soon rolled down her finger.
“Please,” Cerridwen gasped at last. Her hand grasped Mor’s elbow as if she could force her hand in deeper, but the other resisted.
She slid another finger through Cerridwen until it too was covered in her wetness. Despite her whispered pleas against Mor’s lips, she continued to tease her- all the while torturing herself.
“Take it off,” Mor said at long last, moving the skirts from beneath her knee. Cerridwen didn’t hesitate- she shifted her hips up- straight into Mor’s waiting knot. Mor gasped and ground against Cerridwen harder and harder, until she managed to pull her skirts out from under her and finally threw her dress off the bed.
Mor fell onto her aching breasts in an instant, and as she sucked one into her mouth she slowly pushed her fingers into Cerridwen. The wraith arched in an instant, pushing herself against Mor’s mouth with a wordless cry. Too long- it had been too long since she felt so whole and complete. She wanted to kiss Mor- to return as much of this incredible feeling as she’d been given.
While Mor focused her attentions on Cerridwen’s slit and breast, Cerridwen began to roll her hips up into the slow plunge of her fingers. Mor moaned and her own breath hitched as the leg beneath her shifted to rub against her knot through the fabric of her gown.
“Take it off,” Cerridwen threw Mor’s words back at her.
Mor was forced to withdraw from Cerridwen’s body, leaving her empty and hungrier than ever. She slipped a hand beneath Mor’s skirts as the golden female negotiated hidden ties- then those of the ruby corset beneath. Cerridwen had no love for undergarments, but Mor most certainly did. She felt silk lace and stroked the front of that- hard enough to encourage Mor to undress faster, but not hard enough to offer any reprieve.
The dress was, at last, flung aside, and with it her corset. Cerridwen slipped her hand down the front of those red silk panties and hooked two fingers into Mor. When the female bent down to kiss her, she dodged her lips with a smirk and immediately took one of Mor’s large breasts into her mouth.
Nothing existed beyond Cerridwen’s touch- nothing save the scent of her arousal. Mor pushed her cool fingers back into her lover and curled her thumb down to press- finally- against her knot. Cerridwen’s shout of pleasure was little more than a hum as she continued to bite and suck at Mor’s breasts. As sensitive as she was there- it was almost as good as rubbing her clit too.
Cerridwen had Mor’s breast to absorb her gasps and cries. Mor had nothing. She was shaking, whimpering with need and desire. A thick, wet sound came from both and only served to encourage the wave growing inside her. That lewd sound represented what she could do to Cerridwen- as much as the wraiths tortured cries. It also stood for what Cerridwen was capable of drawing from her.
Mor’s free hand pinched and squeezed Cerridwen’s breast as her fingers slowly began to pick up speed. Cerridwen’s hips began to rise as she released Mor’s breast and looked up at her- mouth frozen open. She exhaled low and slow, but the tension in her body gave it sound. Mor was almost lost, but she smiled at that sound.
Her other most treasured memory took on new significance- the way Cerridwen screamed her pleasure as it devastated her. For a quiet, secretive wraith she could make the most wonderful sounds.
At the same time, both females slid their fingers from one another. Cerridwen turned half onto her side and lifted her leg for Mor to grab. The other female ripped her panties in an effort to get them off faster, then shifted so that she was straddling Cerridwen’s open legs. She pressed her heat to her lover’s entrance, hugged the leg tight to her chest, and began to roll her hips in tight, focused circles. Within a few passes, her folds parted against Cerridwen, and the wraith’s against hers.
They cried in unison as their knots found one another and that glorious, wet noise filled the air once more. No female ever fit so completely against Mor, and Cerridwen never felt more powerful or powerless as she did beneath this one. Her pleasure slid back for a moment as she found their rhythm, but now it was rushing at her hard and fast.
It would be impossible to hold back the tidal wave.
As much as Mor loved Cerridwen’s screams, Cerridwen loved the flood unleashed by the other’s orgasm.
Mor’s gaze was drawn from Cerridwen’s at last and her circling focused exclusively on the swirling of their knots. She pressed down harder and harder as Cerridwen’s gasps turned to shuddering cries and her body tensed.
A squeak from Mor was the sign that the wave was upon her. That squeak sent Cerridwen over the edge.
Her back arched and two growing cries were torn from her lips before her jaw clenched and a scream ripped through her. Her entire body was hard and loose as Mor ground against her knot, made a far quieter shout, and was immobilized by blinding, glorious fire. The first splash of her against Cerridwen’s knot took the very breath from her lungs, and the wraith quickly reached down to pull her lips open wider.
She screamed again and took over for Mor, grinding their bodies together as another jet of Mor’s release hit hard against her quaking entrance. Mor fell to her side on the bed, but still she held Cerridwen’s leg, and the wraith didn’t stop moving until Mor’s body shuddered and she forced a hand between them, protecting her core.
Mor shivered and shook with the force of her climax. White spots danced before her eyes and she wasn’t entirely sure she could fight back the darkness that threatened to take her as she shielded herself from any more stimulation.
Only when that other tension left her did she let Cerridwen untangle their legs and crawl up the bed to kiss her.
“I love you,” Mor murmured, her body still shuddering with violent pulses of pleasure.
Cerridwen settled against Mor and held her- mound to mound and breast to breast. There was no denying they fit perfectly. She wanted to kiss her through the next ten minutes- until Mor had recovered enough for Cerridwen to wreck her again. But there was something she had to do-
“This time we can say it in the same century,” she whispered against Mor’s lips. “I love you too.”

When you’ve successfully claimed a fic, you’ll be put in contact with your author. If you’re participating as an author or as an artist, please keep a close eye on your e-mail.
Claimed summaries will be crossed out, so keep an eye on this post. Claims are first come, first serve. We may be opening for double claims this year once all fics have been claimed. Thank you!
ATLANTIS
Universe: 616
Rating: Teen and Up Audiences
Warnings: Possible consent issues (The fic centers around Johnny entering into a fake relationship with Peter, who has not disclosed their secret identity--however Johnny quickly figures it out, but does not disclose that he knows), Namor-typical marriage proposals (i.e. Namor has a history of threatening to destroy New York if the person he has proposed to does not accept, so it should be at least considered coercive). Mild angst because Peter Parker can’t make anything easy.
Current wordcount: 12,000
Summary: When Spider-Man’s best friend Johnny Storm asks him for help in tactfully declining a marriage proposal from the King of Atlantis, Namor the Sub-Mariner, the only solution is for him to volunteer Daily Bugle photographer Peter Parker to pretend to be dating Johnny at the Engagement Banquet in Atlantis. Sure, it’s technically lying to his best friend about who Peter Parker is, but the important thing is that Johnny won’t have to marry Namor, and if Peter gets some photographs of Atlantis to sell, what’s the harm? Peter thought the most difficult thing about this scenario was going to be making sure Johnny didn’t figure out Peter is actually Spider-Man. Having to pretend he wasn’t actually falling in love with his best friend never crossed his mind.
Featuring fake relationships, forced (almost) marriages, identity porn, traditional Atlantean clothing, overly-friendly octopi, a special appearance by Eugene, The Frog-Man, and a lot more emotional baggage than originally intended.
AVATAR
Universe: Legend of Korra AU.
Rating: Teen and Up Audiences, though, depending on how the next scenes unfold, might change it to Mature.
Warnings: Lots of Avatar references, Angst, jokes nobody will get, probably some violence.
Total wordcount: ca. 15k
Summary: Growing up together both Johnny and Peter were glad with the life they were given. They go to watch pro-bending matches together, practice Johnny’s firebending abilities and discover whether or not Peter should enter the spirit world. Then the Harmonic Convergence happens, Peter’s given airbending abilities and Johnny disappears. Sue seeks Peter hoping he will be able to help her find him. He is presented with his hardest choice yet: become the airbender Johnny said he could be, or go look for the one he secretly loved most of his live?
BOYFRIEND
Universe: AU
Rating: T
Warnings: a building burns down, underage drinking, minor PTSD, minor blackmailing, gay jokes + internalized homophobia (no outright or violent homophobia), love triangles, assumed infidelity
Current wordcount: 21,400
Summary: When Peter Parker saves Johnny Storm from a burning building, he makes a difficult choice: to reveal his face to him in order to make Johnny trust him so he can get them out of that building. It does the job and he figures that's the last he'll ever see of the kid, but on his first day of senior year, who should appear but the only person in the universe who knows his secret? Peter's friends realize that Peter is behaving oddly as he attempts to avoid Johnny and Peter says the only thing he can think of, which is that he ad Johnny hooked up at a party over the summer. When Johnny finds out, he is amused and offers Peter a deal: they pretend to be in a relationship so that Johnny, who is new and only has one friend, will look like he's popular and maybe popularity will follow. Tired of his own relationship drama, Peter agrees and somehow ends up starring in a school musical, going to Halloween parties, and developing feelings he definitely did not sign up for.
HORIZON
Universe: AU
Rating: Teen and Up Audiences
Warnings: Temporary Character Death (of sorts)
Current wordcount: 12,100
Summary: When Peter gets caught up in a big science project, Johnny sees his best friend less and less–– and then not at all. Johnny finds himself standing outside of Horizon Labs one night, with no idea how or why he ended up there. He doesn't think much of it at first, but things just keep getting weirder after that. He can't shake off the feeling that he's forgetting something important, but what? Alternatively: the one where Peter gets erased from existence and Johnny's the only one who seems to notice that something's wrong; and in Johnny's quest to get Peter back, he discovers that New York City is in imminent danger.
INSTAGRAM
Universe: 616
Rating: Teen and Up
Warnings: Miscommunication, Secret Relationship, Social Media
Current wordcount: 12,000
Summary: Peter feels like things are finally going his way now that he and Johnny are in a relationship. One little problem: they have to keep things quiet. Peter thinks it'll be a piece of cake. He's maintained his secret identity for years, and CEO of Parker Industries is just one more mask. One thing he wasn't expecting is Johnny nearly exposing him (figuratively and literally) with weaponized hashtags and a perfectly curated Instagram account. Peter has to sit through some awkward conversations, while also figuring out how to keep Johnny's followers from finding out the identity of his new mystery man.
NEGATIVE ZONE
Universe: Canon AU from Fantastic Four #600
Rating: Explicit
Warnings: Graphic Violence, Body Horror, Human Experimentation, Death, Bugs, PTSD
Current Wordcount: 12,500
Summary: On the list of things Johnny thought he’d be doing today, stopping a full scale invasion from the Negative Zone hadn’t even made the top ten, though, admittedly with his track record it probably should have. He's just lucky Peter was here to help. They’d both made it through worse scrapes than this.  There was nothing to worry about...right?
Or: Johnny and Peter are trapped in the Negative Zone--a cruel place where Annilihus rules and you're left with the choice to either fight or die.  Featuring gladiatorial battles, bug resurrections, revolution, and oh my god, they were prisonmates.
NEW YORK
Universe: The Amazing Spider-Man (Webb movies)/Fantastic Four (2015)
Rating: Explicit
Current wordcount: 55,000
Warnings: Explicit consensual sex, canon typical violence including blood, canonical past major character death (Gwen Stacy and Franklin Storm), extensive depictions of grief/mourning, brief suicidal thoughts. Other pairings include past Peter/Gwen Stacy, brief past Peter/Harry Osborn, brief Johnny/OMC and brief past Johnny/Victor.
Summary: Central City, California, is beautiful, but it's not where Johnny wants to be -- and he's not who he wants to be, either. Inspired by the recent return of Spider-Man, Johnny convinces the newly minted Fantastic Four to return to the Baxter Building, the site of the incident that gave them their powers. But not everything is what it seems, and worse yet, Spider-Man wants nothing to do with the Human Torch.
In the wake of Gwen's death, Peter Parker has finally put the mask back on, but nothing's the same as it once was, and the thrill has gone out of Spider-Man. The Fantastic Four's arrival only makes everything worse. The Human Torch is good looking, he'll give him that much, but Peter has no plans of making friends. But a series of strange attacks and a fateful encounter on the docks may not leave him much choice.
Set post-canon for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) and Fantastic Four (2015). Johnny and Peter’s appearances are based on Michael B Jordan and Andrew Garfield. Fantastic Four (2015)’s Johnny is black and should be depicted so in the art.
STAR WARS
Universe: Star Wars AU
Rating: Teen
Warnings: Star Wars-typical violence, alcohol use, one scene of drunken making out where one of them is lying about who he is but prevents it from going further
Current wordcount: 14,000
Summary: Johnny is the younger brother of Susan Storm, first freely elected Senator of Alderaan. He's working with Sue, Reed, and Ben to foil the plot of Senator Osborn, who intends to cement his growing hold over the galaxy with the help of a weapon being developed by Reed & his lab partner, Victor von Doom. Reed finds a rebel contact and plans a hand-off for the weapon. Meanwhile, outer rim pugilist Peter Par Ker is convinced by his ex-girlfriend Felicia Har'dee to take a courier job: transporting a stolen weapon from the Senatorial Gala to her own "rebel" contacts, by infiltrating the Gala in the guise of Johnny's intended date. Featuring X-Men cameos, star wars curse words, and a much-too-convoluted combination of fake dating and assumed identity. Not featuring: a conflation of Spider-Man clones and Star Wars clones, but only because I'm saving it for the sequel.
VILLAIN
Universe: Villain! AU
Rating: Mature
Warnings: Graphic Depictions of Violence. It's canon-typical for the most part.  It would be canon-typical violence and descriptions of blood and cuts during and post fight scenes.
Current wordcount: 26,000.
Summary: Johnny knew the Spider-Man since he first moved to Manhattan. Well, he knew of him. He knew of the countless people who claimed to be mugged by the Spider-Man. Destruction and death has always been linked to his name, from Captain George Stacy to the District Attorney. And now, the deaths have turned into murders -- with red spider tracers as a breadcrumbs. But when the so-called dangerous super villain saved Johnny from being mugged in Bryant Park as a teen, Johnny wonders if the Spider-Man is as bad as everyone suggest he is.
Years later, when the Spider-Tracer Murderer is in full swing and the Fantastic Four are a welcomed part of New York, Johnny runs into the Spider-Man again. This time, he's determined to stop him. Maybe it's because he knows his true identity. Or maybe it's because Spider-Man stole Johnny's favorite jacket. Either way, they both find themselves in more trouble when another villain attacks and attempts to kidnap them both.
Through lacerations, abrasions, and bruised egos, they found their way back to the Baxter Building and found themselves falling in love with each other. But Johnny feels a little uneasy when the Spider-Tracer murders start to pick up again -- and targets villains that know about their relationship.

Yuletide Rec List
Y’all there are 3365 fandoms in the Yuletide noms and some of them are really good so I thought I’d just make a promo post here and also rant a little bc I’m excited even tho it’s barely October just looking at this list.
So I’m gonna put the rest of this barely coherent ranting under a read more but like guys, I’m excited.
So here goes. Some fandom recs!
Books
The Alpennia Trilogy by Heather Rose Jones
Mistress/bodyguard ship in the first book, which leads to so many possibilities! Loyalty kink! Power imbalance! All that shit!
Amazing worldbuilding and magic mixed in with religion
I’ve only read the first book but I’m totally gonna request it
Best for femslash fic tbh, but I guess you could do gen.
The Shades of Magic series by V.E. Schwab
Again the worldbuilding is good. But the series is overall very dark. Also, an ensemble kind of feel.
My ship is two powerful magicians who seem to be the last of their kind, both working for royal families, one of whom lives as a prince and the other of whom is enslaved.
They’re enemies most of the time but still.
But a lot of people ship other things bc ensemble cast. There is one canon m/m ship. There is a slightly OP female crossdressing thief. There’s angsty brothers. There’s lots of people basically.
Good fandom for m/m, f/m, gen, even poly. Very good fandom for dark fic or whump imo.
Peter Darling by Austin Chant
Trans Peter Pan who used to be Wendy Darling
Ship is Peter Pan/Captain Hook
Writing style is gorgeous
Captures the cruel, childlike side of Peter Pan.
Good fandom for slash mostly, but I imagine you could pull off gen too.
Nero Wolfe series by Rex Stout
Detectives in New York in some vaguely historical time period.
Narrator is Archie Goodwin, very snarky and charming, one of my favorite characters of all time.
All the mysteries are fun but you’re mostly here for the dynamics between Archie, Nero Wolfe himself, and all the other regular members in the series--the detectives sometimes brought in to help out, the house cook, the pissed-off policemen, etc etc.
Also totally fine to read out of order, I’ve never really paid much attention to the order myself. Includes both novels and novellas.
A lot of people write slash in this fandom; I don’t really ship any slash ships for it (I’m kind of a gen bitch here) but I admit the potential is there.
Queen’s Thief series by Megan Whalen Turner
Technically YA fantasy but I’d say it’s not that firmly YA except for the first book.
Land of twists and intrigue with the occasional questing adventure. Pseudo-Greek setting.
Includes one of my favorite f/m ships for which I long for more dark fic.
Surprisingly active fandom, I am nowhere near caught up on the fanfic for the last book published.
Good fandom for het, slash, occasionally poly, and very good for GEN (sorry, the MC’s name is Gen and I couldn’t resist).
Goblin Market by Christina Rosetti
Idk why there’s a fandom nomination for a poem but I guess I’ll go with it, it’s a good poem.
Very ripe for femslash tho technically the MCs are sisters (but do they read like sisters? No, no they do not) so you might have to go AU for it.
Kind of dark and weird but childlike at the same time.
Movies/TV Shows/Anime/Literally Anything But Books
Kakegurui (anime/manga)
I’ve only watched the anime but I hear the manga is good.
Crazy high school obsessed with gambling gets even crazier when Yumeko the gambling freak shows up just to start drama.
Weirdly dark even tho nothing life threatening really happens. Ridiculously grotesque facial expressions on absolutely everyone.
Very good for femslash, decent for het and poly. You could probably write gen. But how.
Kado: The Right Answer (anime)
It’s sci-fi show that’s half about contact with aliens and half about the unhealthy relationship between an alien and his favorite human. And when I say half I mean “gets really dark in the last third”. But if you’re mostly interested in that part, it’s short enough that you still get there pretty quick.
I really just want dark slash fic, that’s all guys.
Two Faces of January (movie)
This is also a book by Patricia Highsmith but I nominated the movie bc it has Oscar Isaac and Viggo Mortensen.
Dark thriller vibes
Slashy vibes with weird daddy kink overtones (it can’t be helped, and this remains constant whether it’s book or movie)
Somehow I still ship it despite not really liking daddy kink.
Just trust me
Singin’ In the Rain
I’m really hoping this was nominated by someone who wants OT3 fic.
That’s all.
Gattaca
If you don’t already know about Gattaca are you even following me
It has Jude Law in it
Also it explores dystopian ableism and yet has an oddly ableist ending which consistently PISSES ME OFF, which is why I always request fix-it fic.
People really like slash for this movie and I get it but I don’t really ship it but a lot of people do so if you watch it, you will probably ship it too.
Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell
British miniseries which I somehow like despite not liking most BBC shows. (Seriously, my roommate and sister have both tried to get me into Sherlock and Dr. Who and I just can’t, good for y’all who like such things tho.)
I’m mostly here for the fae aspects and one of the MCs being traumatized and descending into insanity.
But the aesthetic is also pretty rad.
 Harlots
It’s about harlots. Kind of Victorian? I think? Idk time periods guys.
It portrays sex and sex workers in interesting, pretty down to earth ways.
It’s a good place for femslash but I somehow find myself craving gen.
The aesthetic is strong.
Luke Cage
I’ve still only seen the first season but it was rad
A lot of black people, guys
Also superhero-y things
Probably best for het, tbh, tho I would slash ship Luke with Cornell. Why doesn’t anyone seem to ship that?
Sakeru Gum
It’s like a five minute commercial compilation that will change your life.
I’ve probably reblogged it at some point. Otherwise, search it on Youtube.
Loooong looooong mAAaaaaan
Fandoms I’m Not Actually In But Might Join If The Prompts Look Good
There’s a couple different books nommed by Mary Renault! I’m reading the Alexander Trilogy right now (Alexander the fuckign Great, guys), which is nommed, so if things work out I might write for that. There’s also The Last of the Wine and Mask of Apollo.
Also, there are two series nominated that are by K.J. Charles. I’ve only ever read The Henchmen of Zenda by K.J. Charles but that was really good, so I may have to try one of these series out. Of course, I’d have to actually have time, and series are a bit lengthy for me this semester! But I might read a book or two if the prompts look excellent.
Someone nominated Learning Curves by Ceillie Simkiss? Which is an indie lesfic romance novella which was published only this August. I’m shocked it somehow ended up in the tagset and very curious about prompts. But I haven’t actually read this book, I’ve just heard of it.
The Caper Court series by Caro Fraser sounds interesting, too. It’s about a guy trying to become a lawyer who needs to fulfill a pupillage first, whatever the fuck that is, but apparently there’s gay people and intrigue, so I’m interested. I’ve started the first book.
Also, Zorro by Isabel Allende is nominated. I’ve never read this book but I’ve always wanted to because I love Zorro--the old TV show was one of my favorites as a kid. But I’ve never read a literary take on it.
If I can watch the Kdrama for Orange Marmalade, I’m interested in that too. I’ve only ever read the webmanga, didn’t know it was a live action now. It’s got vampires :) and high school drama.
So this rant was kind of unnecessary, but I just have a lot of feelings, guys, okay? Just...a lot of feelings...

2018 Second Art Claims
Due to interest and the number of artist sign-ups, we’re opening a second round of claims for the 2018 Spideytorch Big Bang. Because of how fast claims initially went, for the first 24 hours we’re only allowing artists who have not already claimed a story to illustrate to claim a summary. After the 24 hour hold is over, anyone who has signed up as an artist can claim a second fic if they wish. Thank you to all participants!
Like with initial claims, to claim a fic please e-mail your first, second, and third picks to [email protected], along with the e-mail and username you signed up with.
Summaries repeated under the cut:
ATLANTIS
Universe: 616
Rating: Teen and Up Audiences
Warnings: Possible consent issues (The fic centers around Johnny entering into a fake relationship with Peter, who has not disclosed their secret identity–however Johnny quickly figures it out, but does not disclose that he knows), Namor-typical marriage proposals (i.e.
It does the job and he figures that’s the last he’ll ever see of the kid, but on his first day of senior year, who should appear but the only person in the universe who knows his secret? Peter’s friends realize that Peter is behaving oddly as he attempts to avoid Johnny and Peter says the only thing he can think of, which is that he ad Johnny hooked up at a party over the summer. When Johnny finds out, he is amused and offers Peter a deal: they pretend to be in a relationship so that Johnny, who is new and only has one friend, will look like he’s popular and maybe popularity will follow.
He doesn’t think much of it at first, but things just keep getting weirder after that. He can’t shake off the feeling that he’s forgetting something important, but what? Alternatively: the one where Peter gets erased from existence and Johnny’s the only one who seems to notice that something’s wrong; and in Johnny’s quest to get Peter back, he discovers that New York City is in imminent danger.
INSTAGRAM
Universe: 616
Rating: Teen and Up
Warnings: Miscommunication, Secret Relationship, Social Media
Current wordcount: 12,000
Summary: Peter feels like things are finally going his way now that he and Johnny are in a relationship. One little problem: they have to keep things quiet. Peter thinks it’ll be a piece of cake. He’s maintained his secret identity for years, and CEO of Parker Industries is just one more mask. One thing he wasn’t expecting is Johnny nearly exposing him (figuratively and literally) with weaponized hashtags and a perfectly curated Instagram account. Peter has to sit through some awkward conversations, while also figuring out how to keep Johnny’s followers from finding out the identity of his new mystery man.
He’s just lucky Peter was here to help. They’d both made it through worse scrapes than this.  There was nothing to worry about…right?
Or: Johnny and Peter are trapped in the Negative Zone–a cruel place where Annilihus rules and you’re left with the choice to either fight or die.  Featuring gladiatorial battles, bug resurrections, revolution, and oh my god, they were prisonmates.
NEW YORK
Universe: The Amazing Spider-Man (Webb movies)/Fantastic Four (2015)
Rating: Explicit
Current wordcount: 55,000
Warnings: Explicit consensual sex, canon typical violence including blood, canonical past major character death (Gwen Stacy and Franklin Storm), extensive depictions of grief/mourning, brief suicidal thoughts. Other pairings include past Peter/Gwen Stacy, brief past Peter/Harry Osborn, brief Johnny/OMC and brief past Johnny/Victor.
Summary: Central City, California, is beautiful, but it’s not where Johnny wants to be – and he’s not who he wants to be, either. Inspired by the recent return of Spider-Man, Johnny convinces the newly minted Fantastic Four to return to the Baxter Building, the site of the incident that gave them their powers. But not everything is what it seems, and worse yet, Spider-Man wants nothing to do with the Human Torch.
In the wake of Gwen’s death, Peter Parker has finally put the mask back on, but nothing’s the same as it once was, and the thrill has gone out of Spider-Man. The Fantastic Four’s arrival only makes everything worse. The Human Torch is good looking, he’ll give him that much, but Peter has no plans of making friends.
He’s working with Sue, Reed, and Ben to foil the plot of Senator Osborn, who intends to cement his growing hold over the galaxy with the help of a weapon being developed by Reed & his lab partner, Victor von Doom. Reed finds a rebel contact and plans a hand-off for the weapon. Meanwhile, outer rim pugilist Peter Par Ker is convinced by his ex-girlfriend Felicia Har'dee to take a courier job: transporting a stolen weapon from the Senatorial Gala to her own “rebel” contacts, by infiltrating the Gala in the guise of Johnny’s intended date. Featuring X-Men cameos, star wars curse words, and a much-too-convoluted combination of fake dating and assumed identity. Not featuring: a conflation of Spider-Man clones and Star Wars clones, but only because I’m saving it for the sequel.
VILLAIN
Universe: Villain! AU
Rating: Mature
Warnings: Graphic Depictions of Violence. It’s canon-typical for the most part.
And now, the deaths have turned into murders – with red spider tracers as a breadcrumbs.
This time, he’s determined to stop him. Maybe it’s because he knows his true identity. Or maybe it’s because Spider-Man stole Johnny’s favorite jacket. Either way, they both find themselves in more trouble when another villain attacks and attempts to kidnap them both.
Through lacerations, abrasions, and bruised egos, they found their way back to the Baxter Building and found themselves falling in love with each other. But Johnny feels a little uneasy when the Spider-Tracer murders start to pick up again – and targets villains that know about their relationship.
