hot take and ill give anyone the benefit of the doubt once but i feel like someone who saves a gif off of someones blog and then reposts it into about 15 fandom tags with the intent to get internet points knows what theyre doing is probably not proper etiquette and doesnt really care as long as theyre not being too heavily called out on it. and sometimes even then they still dont.

y'know, i keep making a habit of swinging my bat at hornets nests, but i have to say i'm getting so, so tired of people complaining about shows not making perfect sense when they aren't even close to done. we're four episodes into this season of doctor who. we're four episodes into this season of bridgerton. and yet in both fandoms i keep seeing people whine that such and such didn't make sense or it wasn't explained all the way and by god you guys i think maybe explanations might come later in the season. this is something most viewers will recognize as being called a 'plot.'

Local libraries getting rid of physical medias such as newspapers, magazines, cds, dvds, and audiobooks is turning experiencing art into a privilege instead of a right but I don't think you guys are ready for that conversation

#the 95 year old lady who takes the city bus from the old folks home three times a week doesn't have spotify or a smartphone or a computer #how is she going to listen to her johnny cash cds #do you know how many kids I attended school with didn't have internet or wifi???#that wasn't even that long ago #they do not have streaming services stop getting rid of dvds and stop not buying new ones #also there are so many people who have a smart phone and the only thing they know how to do is call or text #if they want to keep using audiobooks let them! It's not killing you that they're not using libby #yes libby and hoopla and kanopy are great but the latter two have limited checkouts and the former usually has long waits #its not fair to expect older people and children learn how to use them if they don't want to or can't!#also magazines are basically unreadable online #so many girls will not be able to experience borrowing american girl magazines from the library because the library doesn't have magazines!#also don't even get me started on no newspapers #sorry I don't have the money for a monthly subscription to a newpaper guess I just won't know the news now #this is why everyone is getting fake news from twitter!#"but everyone has spotify and streaming services and audible and wifi and internet and smartphones and ipads and laptops #newsflash! they don't!#getting rid of physical media from libraries is actually very classist and ageist but people don't want to hear that #I love local libraries and think they are an amazing resource in so many ways #and that's why it hurts so much that they would leave such a large portion of their customers high and dry to maybe save a few bucks #rant #tags so long they probably could've been their own post lol

I stopped caring about twd YEARS ago (I stopped with S7 E1 OTL), but someone shared the first episode of the rick & michonne short series with me...and wow. it's incredible so far.

I'm so glad to see mr. lincoln and miss gurira back together, pouring every bit of their souls into their acting. god their chemistry is unbelievably good...I had long forgotten what that looked like in a live action romantic pairing, as the romance in st seldom works well on any level. I'm so pleased to learn that they are also involved as executive producers & writers. it SHOWS. so does that budget, damn.

#twd #thoughts about media #I was a glenn fan. if you need further explanation for my abandonment of the show.#twd made a lot of god awful writing choices but that was my final straw.#like it really annoyed me that they'd claim wanting to stay faithful to the comics but only follow that selectively #like there was no point to killing two ppl in that scene. and if anyone should have died. it should have been the one getting the solo show #because in the show- HE fills the role glenn has in the comics.#having rick fall in love with michonne instead of andrea though? best writing choice that show ever made.#genuinely such a good pairing and it saved rick's character imo.#which is wild to say honestly. considering that in stranger things- a romantic relationship is a death knell for that character.#I firmly believe steve was as good of a character as he was because he got the chance to exist outside a romantic relationship.#and why kali feels so interesting and memorable as a character despite her short screen time.#too bad that show is written and run by a troupe of circus clowns.

You said you wanted to go vegetarian so I thought I'd provide some info.

Hummus is your friend, also look at cuisines from other countries more, western food is pretty bare in terms of plant based foods whereas asian, middle eastern and african food has had years of build up customs to develop.

You were worried about protein especially but that is pretty easy to fill in. Just eat more beans, legumes, nuts and the like. As well as tofu and textured soy protein (there's also meat replacements but those are quite salty and pretty expensive).

It also helps to add some protein to every meal (think beans on toast in the morning or a salad with some toasted nuts and oven roasted chickpeas for some crunch).

Consider supplementing your vitamins, especially B12 is important to supplement.

Check /r/vegan on reddit. They might be a bit stuck up but there's some good info in the wiki and sidebar.

Sorry for the massive amount of info. Idk why you choose to go vegetarian but I support it howsoever you go about it and I like to help where I can.

Also sorry for the vegan focus, it's easier to just go hard into veganism in regards to nutritional info and to just adjust to vegetarian from there. I'm also a bit hazy about the short period where I was vegetarian, my attitude towards food went a bit funky shortly afterward and I'm still recovering...
