Like, this man did not spend his ENTIRE FUCKING CAREER playing almost exclusively openly queer or heavily, heavily coded queer characters to be treated like this??? In fucking 2023??????? He got better, more queer happy endings in the 80s and 2000s, the fuck?

I think it's incredibly telling that David felt like he had to hide what he was doing with Iz' character arc from Con till it was too late in filming. Hey, hey David? What did you think he was gonna do if he knew beforehand what was happening?? David? David do you think he would've walked? Do you think he would've used his leverage both as the fan favorite and integral part of the story to demand BETTER from you and everyone else writing the show?

Con has been making queer art since the fucking 80s when he was in his 20s. He has openly talked about trans rights and the fight against homophobia that we have been fighting for years and decades. I can't imagine what kind of push back he had to deal with to get all the gay shit he was doing to come to fruition. I can guarantee that at least part of the reason he doesn't have as big of a career as he absolutely deserves is because of how openly queer he has been since the start. I think if Con had been allowed to have some input in the direction of Izzy's character that something like this wouldn't have happened, at least not this messily and uncompassionate.

I legit can't imagine how fucked he must've felt after being given the genuinely very beautiful Unicorn scene and then be casually taken aside and told "lolol anyway Izzy is gonna die now, without love and without the acceptance he had already been given". But at least he was given a cuddle????

Anyway watch Dancin' Thru The Dark. Its on YouTube and it's about an openly genderqueer/bi man who goes on a sad but fun music adventure and it's actually really really good. Con sings and its a fucking bop AND he doesn't die at the end or watch Bedrooms And Hallways, it's a fun romcom about a found family of all queer people doing stupid gay shit. Also you can see Hugo Weaving's entire dick and balls in one scene and if that's not better gay rep then ofmd s2 then idk what is

I watched the second season of OFMD on an airplane before seeing the first season. I knew from that first dream sequence that it wasn’t like all the other shows. But a moment that really jumped out at me was in the second episode when Zheng says, “how should I put this, your energy is…” and Olu immediately offers “tender?” with Roach jumping in, “we’re tender as hell” (with the eyes of a madman btw). And the joke wasn’t self-deprecating like it would be on almost any other show. In fact, it wasn’t even a joke. Just a fact. And a point of pride! You can see it from Olu’s smile and Stede’s pleased, “hmm!” I didn’t realize how much it would mean to me to see a tv show chisel away at toxic masculinity episode by episode but it’s certainly part of why this show took hold of me.

Chapter 110 is 13 pages long welcome to hell!!! so in a lot of ways this is just more fuel for a theory that I've had for a few weeks now, that's only gotten stronger with each recent season 5 episode, which is that the last episode of the season is gonna end on 110, and that Asagiri/Harukawa and Bones have been collaborating to make this happen, specifically because it's a major turning point that would be the only good place to end the season on.

When we started getting especially long chapters again (like from 25-35ish pages, with the exception of 107.5, the last two being some of the longest we've ever had), at first I just assumed that Asagiri/Harukawa got freed up from some other obligations they'd been having to cause the extremely short/half chapters, like promotional stuff for the anime/Beast movie, or working on light novels. But then 109 happened, with the "supposed" death of Dazai, and heavy emphasis at the end on how literally everyone is at their lowest point right now, and I got to thinking. 11 episodes is a strangely specific number for an anime season -- why not 12, or 13, or even 10, like you'd usually see? Why have we gotten suddenly gotten two 35 page chapters out of nowhere, that's almost unheard of at this point? They're both beautiful chapters, don't get me wrong (as always), and maybe A/H simply just didn't want to cut them in halves because they felt like the full emotional impact wouldn't hit/that there were no good cutoff points in them, but you can't deny that it's surprising, after all the shorter chapters we've been getting. Why has the anime been going at such insanely breakneck pacing for the most part ever since around the Sunday Tragedy chapters, even more so than it has in the past? So much so that it feels dangerously close to overtaking the manga?

Well, maybe, just maybe, it's because..... Asagiri decided a long time ago that whatever happens in 110 is the only point that feels "season finale"-worthy enough, in an arc that still isn't anywhere close to being completely wrapped up, and so both the manga and the anime have been specifically coordinated to reach that part within 2 and a half weeks of each other?

I've seen a lot of people now think season 5 will end with 109, and as much as my sadistic side would find that hilarious, I honestly don't think they'd do that and realistically don't want it to happen; it'd be so cruel to cliffhanger the anime for years like that, and just doesn't feel like a season cliffhanger BSD would do, a series that is ultimately hopeful and uplifting. Seasons 2 and 3 had a positive, conclusive ending; the only reasons seasons 1 and 4 didn't was because they're technically not really full seasons of their own, and are more like the first cour of another "season" that also came out that same year (seasons 1 and 2 both aired in 2016, so they're more like one big season, and seasons 4 and 5 have both aired this year, so they're also more like one big season, again taking into account how episodes 12 and 50 are not satisfying finales like episodes 24, 37, and hypothetically, 61, are). I really can't see season 5 ending with Dazai and Fukuzawa's supposed deaths, Sigma being unconscious and maybe close to death, Atsushi being vulnerable and limbless again, everyone we love still vampires, and the entire world being basically doomed; that's just too depressing and not like BSD at all. However, having said that, if it doesn't end there, there really isn't any good place to end the season before that, either, that feels in any way satisfying or like a finale at all. And so, to me, that only leaves after 109: chapter 110.

I think things are really gonna turn around next chapter. Like I said, everyone is at their lowest point right now, it cannot possibly get any worse, the framing of Dazai, Fukuzawa, and sskk at the end of 109 is telling us that; this is the time for the heroes to finally start winning again, with Aya being so close to pulling out the sword, and for all the thematic reasons other people have talked about to death that I don't need to go into here again. This upcoming chapter being so short again makes a part of me wary of 110 being "the one", so to speak, I won't lie, but at the same time, it's very possible that it needs to be that short because that's all the final episode of the season will be able to reasonably fit in, since it's already gonna be VERY close if they do make it all the way to 109. And at the end of the day, I don't doubt at all that Asagiri and Harukawa can make these the most monumental and game-changing mere 13 pages ever if they wanted to; a chapter does not at all need to be extremely long in order to be an important and impactful one, even if short ones we've gotten in the past haven't felt the most important.

An additional thought I've had, though this is much more crack territory than all this already is, is that since we know from Anime Expo that a Stormbringer movie at some point is highly likely (judging from Asagiri's reaction when someone brought it up), it's possible that chapter 110 and thus the final episode will involve the long-anticipated return of Verlaine and/or Adam, or at least some other major reference to Stormbringer, that would naturally and smoothly lead into a Stormbringer movie to explain things to people who haven't read the novel. It would make a lot of sense, especially since the s4 OP has the Old World sign behind Chuuya, which might be a hint that this has been in the works ever since seasons 4/5 were first in planning with Asagiri. We also know that Dazai and Chuuya's voice actors apparently struggled to record their lines together this season, which probably relates to 101 and possibly 109, but it could be 110 too.... I could be very wrong, as I'm no expert on this kind of thing, but I kinda doubt they would bring Chuuya's actor in for just the vampire growls, and Asagiri placing heavy emphasis on Chuuya's importance this season in that one interview gives me the impression that he's talking about much more than just 101/109. But that's the least solid evidence I have, that's just mostly based on vibes I get.

So basically, I think a lot of factors -- the unusual episode count, how close the anime is to catching up to the manga with three whole episodes left, the seemingly arbitrary recent chapter lengths, and the climactic events of 109 -- can tell us that 110 might be a very, VERY big deal. Again, there's of course no way this arc is anywhere near close to being finished, with so much left to address and resolve, but since it is currently incomplete in the manga, unlike the previously adapted arcs, if the anime was going to adapt it at all, they'd have to find a place that feels satisfying enough to end this season, knowing there won't be more anime for a long time after this, and so I think they specifically planned for that, from both Bones' and A/H's sides. 10 episodes might not have been enough to reach that point, but 12 or 13 might have been too many it wouldn't have been if Bones actually decided to slow down and let the story breathe the way it needs to, but this post isn't meant to criticize the anime, so maybe 11 was just right. And maybe Asagiri and Harukawa specifically pushed to make recent chapters longer than usual, in order to make sure that the manga reached the story content in 110 the monthly release right before season 5 was to end.

Is this just copium? Absolutely. Am I going to look like an absolute clown in two days when this post ages like milk? Probably. But the evidence is There, so let me just enjoy my delusions until Sunday, okay 🥂🫡

A quick stop at the nearest gas station before heading back to the station in the middle of the night after a long day - what unexpected little thing could happen?

You and Gator have been talking shit about anyone and anything the whole day, separated for the first time all day as he goes inside to grab a snack, leaving you to fill the tank.

This is literally the definition of the middle of nowhere, you keep thinking with a straight gaze into the darkness of the night, no light in sight for miles.

“If you keep staring like that, we’re not gonna be home until tomorrow.”

His voice comes from inside the car, telling you how he’s only waiting for you to finish up. You just let your eyes roll to the back of your head, since it’s always been like that between the two of you - constantly getting on each other’s nerves for any fucking reason. One last deep breath finishing up, before you join him back in the car. Driving down the empty and dark roads, the silence in the car was loud enough - you could probably hear a pin drop.

“How many more months of this bullshit until you finally break and we’re fucking?”

Your head shoots from the black of the street over to him in shock. Not one word falls over your lips.

Why does this uniform suddenly feel tighter than usual?

“Just once. Don’t act like you’ve never thought about it.”

With his hand casually on the steering and eyes focused on the road, you can’t believe what he just said.

“That’s not gonna happen”, you bring out in an amused tone.

Feet hit the brakes, causing your body to get abruptly stopped by the seat belt, your hands bracing themselves on the glovebox in front of you. Gator turns to you with a wicked smile that’s almost impossible to make out in the darkness of the car.

“Wanna bet?”

He really just stopped in the middle of the road for another one of his tantrums?

Your fingers reach for the door handle with another roll of your eyes, but he locks the car before you can step outside into the cool night air.

“Can you at least properly park if you really wanna discuss this?”

He seems more than satisfied with your snarky comment and starts driving again before bringing the car to another stop on some random dirt road. With an elbow propped on the window you take another look at him and you’re met with that same self satisfied smirk of his. It’s when your eyes start to wander for just a second, you know you fucked up.

The air in here is getting fucking unbreathable.

You open the door before he can lock the car again, stepping outside just to get some air and of course… he follows you.

“Still wanna bet?”

Walking around to get the air you need, you open his backseat door and bend down to reach for your pack of cigarettes that fell under the seat in the morning when you were the one driving. You don’t pay attention to his heavy boots also rounding the car, too busy searching for the pack that seems like it’s been swallowed by the earth at this point. The moment you feel a presence behind you, is when your body suddenly jerks forward, laying flat on the backseat. There’s no need to actually look behind you to know who it was, but you still did. Gator is leaning with his arm on the roof of the car, his front digging in your ass proudly. He pulls you back by one of your belt loops, turning you around to push your body into the cold metal of the car. His body gives the right amount of warmth in the coldness of the night and that’s when you allow your eyes to wander this time.

“Once”, is the promise you give with a smile as you pull him onto the backseat with you.

It would be a straight up lie if you never thought about what lies beneath those camo pants, you’ve seen the way the fabric moves, bulges in certain situations. To be fair, there’s too much clothing on, the shoes tied too tight for anyone to get out of them in a fast way. Your mouth lands on his in a matter of seconds in a heated kiss as both of you fiddle with your own belt and button of your pants. He breaks the kiss and pushes your body over the center console before you get the chance to slide down your pants. Gator does it for you, bringing the pants down your legs in one swift motion together with your underwear. Bracing yourself as best as you can on the leather of the front seats both of you moan in unison the second he swipes his tip through your embarrassingly wet folds. You wonder why he’s being so slow, is it straight teasing or…

The wind gets knocked out of your lungs the moment he slides inside, your walls already gripping him for dear life. Surely no one you’ve been with was this big. He’s taking it slow, inch by inch but at a certain point, you have to grip onto the center console for support, letting your head fall as you breathe through the stretch.

“You can take more than that.”

That voice brings you back to reality and before he can move, you slowly push back onto him which makes him moan from the depths of his soul. Inch by inch you can't believe it when you actually feel his skin against your ass. Even after a few times - that won’t ever happen -  he’s probably still a stretch. It’s like your mind goes blank when he starts moving, setting a slow but steady rhythm as his hands hold your hips. Mixed moans fill the car, the windows fogging up within minutes and it would be no surprise if you could see a bulge in your stomach with how deep and huge he is.

Another moan rips deep from within you when he leans forward, hitting an impossibly deeper spot inside, just to tell you: “Only I get to ruin you like this, you hear me?”

And even if you don’t want to admit it, the words just spur on the feeling that started building the second he started moving. His pace quickens as he chases his own release, while you clench around him with already trembling legs, hands clawing the leather as the moans keep spilling from your lips.

“Louder. Let me hear you.”

You try to grab anything to ground you, you try pushing him off, even though it’s not something you really want - at least not anymore. The moans turn into whines as you come around him.

“Just let me know when you want this, again.”

He sounds so fucking proud of himself, it’s unbelievable.
