the most unrealistic part of izombie - a show where zombies are real and can solve crimes by eating brains - is that the character ravi isn't slamming ass all over the city. like he's supposed to be a medical examiner in seattle which is a $100k+ salary and he's played by rahul kohli and y'all are really trying to convince me this 6'4" doctor isn't knee deep in pussy 24/7?? zombies I can accept but trying to convince me this man with a full head of hair and a british accent has to fight for women's attention absolutely annihilates my suspension of disbelief.

People I want to get to know better
Thank you for the tag @doingthechachaslide!! I’m finally doing this like billion years after you tagged me!!
Last Song: Trigger by Hayley Williams. I can’t believe this album is four years old already 😭
Favorite color: why is this such a hard question!! I think it’s purple? They’re all my favorite I don’t wanna pick!!
Last Film/Show: we’ve been watching death and other details on Hulu (because I love Rahul Kohli and Mandy Patinkin) and it’s sooooo fun. I love whodunnits!! And everything that Violett Beane’s character wears is incredible.
Sweet/Savory/Spicy: I’ve got SUCH a sweet tooth but you’ve gotta follow one of these up with the other! I also have to say that we literally bought another fridge that’s like, almost the size of a regular fridge so we would have a place to put all our hot sauces. So do with that what you will!
Relationship status: married! For almost four years now, which is crazy to me!! 😊
Last thing I googled: oh none of the things I’ve googled lately have been any fun (my dog has cancer 🙃) but I’m currently sitting on the couch watching Kennedy play Elden Ring so my last few searches have been like “highroad cave exit” and “boc the seamster”.
Current Obsession: I’ve been playing Cult Of the Lamb like literally all day the past few days. and I’ve been playing sooooo much 2048 on my phone. i’m addicted. Me and Kennedy were talking about our first year in college and I remembered when the game came out and us and all our friends sat in one of our dorm living rooms and were all just playing it at the same time. that time of my life was so incredibly complicated but it’s nice to have some fun and not complicated memories.
Last Book: I’ve been re-listening to Howl’s Moving Castle at bedtime because it’s one of my all-time favorite comfort books and I really need some comfort in my life right now. I was listening to The Final Girl’s Support Group but I got halfway through and then real life got incredibly stressful and I couldn’t handle it anymore. I think I want to check the physical book out at the library because I can handle reading stressful things much better than listening to them. I was also working my way back through the Rivers of London series towards the end of last year so I could listen to the latest book, but I kept on getting distracted when I got there and I’m just gonna have to start Amongst Our Weapons over again. Refer back to the whole “life got really stressful” thing.
Looking forward to: um. I dunno man, it’s a bad time to ask me this question hahaha 😅 i’m just taking it day by day right now. (So many of these answers are way more depressing than I meant for them to be hahahah)
I’m tagging some mutuals, but no pressure to respond/participate (and sorry if you’ve already done this!!) 💜

if you’re hearing LOSING MY RELIGION by REM playing, you have to know KAYAAN DHAWAN (HE/THEY; CIS MAN) is near by! the 35 year old UNEMPLOYEED has been in denver for, like, 2 YEARS. they’re known to be quite PESSIMISTIC, but being RELIABLE seems to balance that out. or maybe it’s the fact that they resemble RAHUL KOHLI. personally, i’d love to know more about them seeing as how they’ve got those WET PUPPY, TOO MANY DRINKS & NOT ENOUGH SLEEP, WILL BEEF WITH YOUR GRANDMOTHER vibes. and maybe i’ll get my chance if i hang out around the LAKERIDGE DISTRICT long enough!
TW: crime, murder, childhood abuse/neglect, law enforcement & prison
Kayaan grew up with his mom, dad and three year younger sister. His mom was a scientist and the back-bone of the family, basically doing everything around the house whilst also working fulltime. The dad had some on-and-off type of jobs, often quicker gigs, but spent the majority of his time at home "looking after the kids" - as he so often framed it.
Life was neither bad nor good up until one fateful day when Kayaan was around the age of 10, in which his mom failed to come home from work. Their mother has always been vague about the type of job she had and the projects she took on, never sharing more than she had to to keep people from asking further. By the end of the day she paid the bills and kept her children happy, which was all that mattered.
A body was never found and the police themselves showed little interest in the case, forcing the otherwise aloof father of the house to step up in his role. Or, he should have, one would think. The dad became more agitated by the day, now forcing his children to care for the house while he got busy "working his butt off". The sister often became the outlet for the dad's anger and misfortune, with Kayaan doing his best to aid his sister when possible but sometimes it only seemed to make things worse.
School became a burden and once the basics were wrapped up and done, Kayaan and his then best friend Ricky dropped out to pursue other goals. Those goals quickly turned into a life of petty crimes, with the best friend putting together a small group of goons for hire. It didn't make anyone rich, but it was enough to keep them both afloat - and in the moment, that was all that mattered.
The peace was not to be, as Kayaan suddenly found himself smitten by Ricky's current girlfriend Faye. They did their best to stay in line, not wanting to stir up any trouble, but when he found out that she she felt the same about him... what was he to do? They both began to talk about the possibility of leaving, perhaps starting over somewhere quiet and nice. A second chance. However, they got caught by Ricky before they could discuss it any further and a few days later the girlfriend was found missing.
Kayaan thought she had perhaps left without him, he wouldn't blame her, but nothing could prepare him for the truth that would unveil a few weeks later - she was murdered.
To Kayaan it was obvious who had done it, but law enforcement thought otherwise, soon arresting him on the accounts of her murder. The papers were no later to soak up the story about a temperamental, jealous man who couldn't bear the thought of seeing his crush with another man and thus took the matters into their own hands. The case was basically settled before it even began and soon enough Kayaan found himself locked up in prison for a crime they hadn't committed.
It would be close to a decade before any justice would be brought to the table and sadly in the happenings of a second murder by the hands of Ricky. Thus, he was finally allowed to walk free once more and being cleared of any and all accusations - but it didn't wash off the now years wasted behind bars or the tarnish to his name and face as many would still associate them with the criminal case.
He decided to sue the government for wrongful conviction and won big and for the past year and a half, Kayaan has been staying on his sister's couch in Denver; drifting around, dwelling on his future and what to do with it. The money is keeping them going as of now, but it's bound to run out sooner or later.

so... what's the watching order of everything sw for someone who wants to catch up with everything. i've seen episodes i-vi but have no clue about the shows -animated or otherwise. i might have seen some episodes of the clones wars on tv but i don't really remember, and all this sw hype on my dash makes wanna delve into it 😭
I want to preface this by pointing out that there are endless guides on endless websites re: the chronological order of Star Wars shows and movies (I like IMDb's because it's a running list that's broken down by even a show's episodes). I've always thought it was better to watch things in release order, though, because that's how most of us experienced the shows and movies and, regardless of its place in the timeline, every show and movie builds off what came before.
What follows is not a comprehensive list, but what I think are the most worthwhile shows and movies. Asterisked titles take place after the original trilogy.
The Clone Wars (2008) movie
The Clone Wars (2008-2020)
Rebels (2014-2018)
Rogue One (2016)
The Sequel trilogy, episodes 7 through 9*
Solo (2018)
The Mandalorian (2019-)*
The Book of Boba Fett (2019-2020)*
The Bad Batch (2021-)
Tales of the Jedi (2022-)
Andor (2022-)
Obi Wan Kenobi (2022)
Ahsoka (2023-)*
It's a lot! And that's just the canon! I absolutely recommend Star Wars Visions and Tartakovsky's The Clone Wars (2003-2005), both noncanonical animated shows. The former is an anthology series where each episode is produced by a different company and riffs on the SW universe; you see each company's country of origin and their histories reflected in their respective episodes, it's truly spectacular. The latter contains characters and events that overlap with the 2008 show, but where the shows differ is some great offbeat stuff.
A comprehensive book of the definitive SW timeline was released earlier this year, if you're interested. In general, it’s important to remember:
The Clone Wars takes place between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, which is roughly 3 years.
Rebels starts 15 years after Revenge of the Sith.
Andor takes place before Rogue One, and the latter depicts the events immediately leading up to A New Hope.
The Mandalorian starts 5 years after Return of the Jedi. The Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka are supposed to take place around the same time.
The Sequel trilogy takes place 30 years after Return of the Jedi.
Like I said, it's a lot, and of course, tastes are different. I'll leave you with my favorite take on Star Wars from the inimitable Rahul Kohli:
Tumblr media
Happy watching!
Other things to keep in mind while you're watching (feel free to ignore this; it has more to do with what surrounds the shows and movies):
If you pay attention to the animated shows' credits, you'll eventually notice the name Dave Filoni. He worked with George Lucas to create The Clone Wars (TCW) and then wrote and directed a lot of Rebels, The Mandalorian, and Ahsoka. We sometimes refer to him as the Cowbay Hat Man because he wears a lot of stetsons. He and Jon Favreau are basically the current creative stewards of the SW universe.
Viewers hated Ahsoka in the beginning. Hated her with a passion. If you end up feeling the same way while watching TCW, hang in there. I promise her character arc is great.
The production history of TCW is sort of tragic. For five seasons, it aired continuously on Cartoon Network before it was canceled after Disney acquired Lucasfilm. Season six tried to tie up loose ends and was released on Netflix a year later. And then six years later, season seven was released on Disney+. If you pay attention, you can sense the differences born out of the hiatuses between each change.
The Bad Batch will end after its upcoming 3rd season.
Andor will end after its upcoming 2nd season.
You'll find people within the SW fandom who loved each show, but the normie consensus is that most of the live-action shows are underwhelming. Except The Mandalorian because of the cute baby and the sexy armored man, and Andor because of the writing and the latent politics of an entire franchise finally being made obvious and overt. I think all the shows have their moments, however few and fleeting, so they're all worth a watch.
I say this also in terms of Solo. It was a box office bomb, but even critics thought the performances were good. Lando isn't on IMDb's list, but as far as anyone can tell at the moment, the spinoff show is still a go. And Emilia Clarke sure did dodge a question about potentially returning.
And yes, they all connect to and reference each other. Characters show up in multiple shows, and plot details recur across the timeline.

Favorite HR heroes?
Trivia my beloveddd you knew exactly what you're doing with this question after we both got it bad for Cassie so you know our new HR boyfriend is going to be on this list <3 Also thanks for waiting; the last few days have been hectic and I have been out of it but all sleepover asks will be cleared tonight!
Okay sorry to anyone new who followed me for my new HR blogging brand because I have such a limited range right now as I only started with Bridgerton, am branching out to Kleypas' books and currently am besotted with ALL the characters from Mr. Malcolm's List so I'll be listing heroes from those three!
1. Lord Cassidy from Mr. Malcolm's List (2022) - I would like to say he is my favourite right now because I have a feeling that once I expand my HR library I will develop an all time favourite. That being said, I am in love with Lord Caswell Cassidy (no, that is not his canon first name he didn't get one 😭😭 but its the one I gave him in my fic - its canon to me now I don't make the rules!). He's THE Regency Himbo and we all know how much I love my himbos! He’s also everything you would want in a man to be honest. He's so kind, lovely and most importantly he makes me laugh. Also this is the gif that made me wanna write a fic for him because Cassie, I’d love to warm you up,,,[Horny Viscountess Incoming ahaha]
Tumblr media
2. Viscount Anthony Bridgerton from The Viscount Who Loved Me (and a mash of Bridgerton S2′s version) - He is me and I am him. We both love and adore Kate - although I would have wifed her up a lot quicker than this dumbass. I related a lot to his feelings about death, accepting his death by a young age and feeling like he’s running of time. Yes, we both have issues lmao but he and Kate made me feel seen and for that I’ll forever love them. I definitely love Anthony in the show a little bit more even if he didn’t have the edginess I saw myself in the books because this one grew from his misogyny from S1. Also him going down on Kate and this ENTIRE SCENE?? SIGN ME UP
Tumblr media
3. Lord Marcus Marsden, Earl of Westcliff from It Happened One Autumn - He and Lillian have big Kathony vibes and I love them so much for it. I also love how different they are that I can love all the characters and couple on their own! As for Marcus, I may not relate to him as much as Anthony but oh boy does he get my engine going ahaha. Every single sex scene in their book delivered and I am a whore for Lord Westcliff! [Spoilers for IHOA below so feel free to skip:]
Who else would get into a bar fight for you??? Like yes he’s a little bitch at the beginning but once he’s in love, he’s just such a vibe and the perfect HR hero to be honest. I just adore him so much so yeah he and Anthony are on the same level for my affections, I just put Ant higher cos I’ve loved him longer and relate to him more deeply. But 10/10 I love Marcus as much tbh.
[Yes that is Sope as Mr. Malcolm in MML but listen and GC agrees with me that they’re very similar in vibes and Sope played him perfectly he can pull off Marcus!!]
Tumblr media
4. Michael Stirling, Earl of Kilmartin from When He Was Wicked - Full disclosure; I haven’t finished WHWW yet,,,, LISTEN John’s death had me in shambles and I just started crying uncontrollably in the middle of the book and had to stop. I haven’t been able to pick it up since. That being said I do know the plot and what Michael is like and he is EXACTLY my type in fiction. Hot, witty, worships only one woman - Regency bad boy with a heart of gold essentially. Always I’m forever pushing the Raymond Ablack and Rahul Kohli are the Stirling cousins I mean, LOOK AT HIM IT’S THE MERRY RAKE:
Tumblr media
5. Cam Rohan from Mine Til Midnight (first appearance Devil in Winter) - Cam would definitely rank higher if I knew him better but at the moment I only know about it from the first half of Devil in Winter but I’m already in love that he made Top 5 so you can tell how much of an impact he’s already made on me. He’s just very sweet and gentlemanly also has a mysterious vibe to him. I also adore his friendship with Evie she needs more people like that in her life. I’m excited to read his book! [My friends thinks Cam needs to look rougher but nah this IS Cam or at least how I pictured him in DiW before I even found this actor, Jan Cina]
Tumblr media
Honourable Mentions: John Stirling, Former Earl of Kilmartin - I know I know JQ didn’t even fully flesh him out BUT I LOVE HIM. I knew him well enough in the first couple of chapters and through Frannie and Michael’s grief to love him just as well and be still grieving him. Also Triv I love our versions of him so that’s mainly the Johns I was picturing when I put him on the list. Johncesca should have gotten their own book tbh like if anyone deserves two books about their love stories, it’s Francesca!
Mr. Jeremy Malcolm - would have put him on the list but he did irritate me a bit on my rewatch recently and as @jeanvanjer pointed out, mans needed to be sluttier to offset his arrogance at times. But we still love you Malcolm! Captain Henry Ossory (but I would have preferred him to be played by Tom Hiddleston) - the potential was there and he could have been more stern with Julia; a Captain Von Trapp type but I dunno Theo James’ performance paled in comparison to his other co-stars but if Hiddles had played him, his chemistry with Zawe and his acting skills would have been evenly matched with the rest of them!

My main grievance with this show, besides the bad acting and the casting of my least favorite asshole rahul kohli, is that the storytelling is so fucking circuitous that it feels like you have to watch the same exact story beat from slightly different perspectives five times to get anywhere. That doesn’t work in the age of streaming and binge watching. If in going to watch four episodes in close succession, I do not need to rehash the same little bits over and over again.

India Miss A Glorious Chance To Add To Their Tally, But Oz Do
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The stage was set for the grandest Cricket World Cup Final in the history of cricket. An unprecedented 1,32,000 cricket fans seated in the largest cricket stadium in the world, and the largest virtual/digital/television audience ever were witnessing the proceedings. As a spectacle, it rivalled any Olympic or World Games setting.
Two of the greatest and proud cricket playing nations with a rich CWC history and having the bragging rights of winning more than once (West Indies is the only other team in the club), clashed to pocket yet another coveted trophy.
True to expectations, the final was a spectacle even before the match started. The crowd was treated to a spectacular show by the IAF aerobatic team for close to 15 minutes. In the finals, generally, nine times out of ten the team winning the toss opts to bat first with an intention to pile up the runs and create pressure on the team batting second. It works most of the time, but Pat Cummins calls the toss right and against expert opinion chooses to field first. Main concern being the dew in the evening.
After the usual perfunctory comments by both the captains, the national anthems, and umpteen roars for no reason from a boisterous jam-packed crowd, the players took centre stage. I don’t know what the ICC was thinking, the pitch was not conducive for or befitting a final. However, it would be so for both teams.
The Indian openers realising that the wicket would get slow and would be untenable for free flowing stroke play after the initial overs, decided to make the powerplay overs count. At end of the powerplay, the odds were slightly in favour of Australia. But, soon, with the fall of Iyer Australia established themselves firmly in the driver’s seat.
King Kohli, a veteran of many finals, and Rahul got together to rebuild the innings. They almost took India out of the woods before one delivery got through Kohli’s immaculate defence and rolled on to the stumps. There was a collective moan of agony for Kohli, team India, and the entire Indian supporters both inside and outside the ground.
Jadeja came and went. Rahul lost his wicket to an unplayable delivery from Starc. The stage was set for SKY to showcase his T20 skills, but there remained only the tail to support him. Not an ideal stage at all. In fact, the question on everyone’s mind was whether the tail-enders would last the remaining overs. Bumrah and Shami certainly didn’t.
SKY’s proclivity to allow Kuldeep to hog the strike wasn’t helping India to get crucial runs which were like gold dust at this stage. But it was SKY who perished after an uncharacteristic innings, and it looked like India’s goose was cooked. Again, it was Kohli’s wicket that was the difference between a potential score of 300 and the rather frugal 240 India ended up with.
It was an unsavoury mid-innings break, if you were an Indian, despite all the gaiety and singing. The crowd knew India had fallen far short of what would have been a winning total.
Chasing a small total on a dicey pitch, Australia were circumspect after losing three quick wickets for less than 50 on the board. Once again, Bumrah and Shami were among the wickets.
Travis Head and Labuschagne were the saviours for Australia. They started slowly and cautiously rebuilding the innings with singles and twos. As was expected, the pitch eased out considerably as the evening progressed, and batting became so much easier.
Kudos for the batters for tiding over the difficult period and then enjoying the best batting conditions of the day. Travis didn’t lose his head and Labuschagne was patient enough for the champagne he would enjoy at the end of the match.
That is how they scripted a historic victory. No shame for India, they can hold their heads high for playing some of the most flawless cricket, until now. One bad day proved to be their undoing. Most fans would say losing the toss made all the difference. It is true, but I believe that to be a champion side India must have it in them to defeat not only the opposition but also any circumstances not in their favour.
Travis Head was the chief enforcer who put an end to India’s undefeated run, and what a time he chose?
Well played Australia, for a historic 6th World Cup win. Champagne time!

Racist Online Behavior (ROB):
I regularly recieve "likes" on my Comments on tweets posted by the likes of Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Ranbeer Kapoor, Sachin Tendulkar, Sanjay Manjrekar, Harsha Bhogle, Matthew Hayden, Mark Taylor, Virat Kohli, Michael Clarke, Joe Root, etc. They also reply me some times. They reply to others too in an impartial democratic manner.
But there are certain celebrities who take utmost care to like "only such comments" which have a blue tick behind the commentator's name!!! For example Sara Ali Khan, Kajole Devgan, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Chaturvedi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Omar Abdullah, Barkha Dutt, Rajdeep Sardesai, etc. Even when that comment on his tweet goes "Viral", that person has the audacity (or should I call that a bad quality) of being thoroughly arrogant that he will still not consider your tweet  as the one which should get a "like" from him Only Because you don't  have a Blue Tick behind your name!!! How shameful, how racist and how undemocratic is that??🤔 You can like Ranveer Sinh's any worthless comment like "this was a useless tweet" on your tweet because he is Ranveer Singh. But, you can not like a high quality comment on your tweet which has more than 5000 views and more than 400 likes on its own ONLY BECAUSE it does not carry a blue tick behind its author's name?!?? After all, the motive of being on Social Media platforms like facebook, twitter, pinterest, linked-in, tumblr, is to enhance your knowledge and carve out a decent intelligent human being from what a stupid fool you once where. Isn't it? Just ignoring comments from a common man only because its author does not have a blue tick behind his name amounts to a racist, unjust and arrogant behavior - nothing less.
Does a blue tick behind your name on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, certify that you are that prominent living being on this planet who should be given due attention whilst all others who do not have a blue tick MUST be ignored? Does it not create a racist and an artificial environment, where all pomp & show prevails, whilst good decent quality content automatically dies out?
Having said that much about the so-called celebrities, how would you feel if a certain friend of yours starts behaving in a weird manner of late, only because he has migrated to some other country "more developed" than India? A friend of mine, just did that. He was very cordial and warm online with everybody online till the time he got his PR (permanent residentship) from the UK Government! Once he got that, his online behavior suddenly changed drastically. He stopped liking any comment or post or tweet  from resident indian community. All the more he started making rude, untoward and derogatory comments on their posts! Why was this shift in behavior? Because there was a paradigm shift in his thought pattern. Now his new thought pattern was - "Well, look at those millions of resident indians who are living lives of hardships, pain and sufferings inside that dirty country called India. And look at me...! I have successfully transformed myself from an unprivileged,  unknown Indian to a highly privileged european!! So great of me, indeed!!💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 I have left that smelling country behind once and forever and no longer do I wish to go back over there. So why should I treat their posts and tweets with respect?  After all they belong to a hellish place, which I just do not like. From now on, I will render harsh treatment to everything that is indigenously Indian." - It is this psychology that has changed his behavior. It's ridiculous.
More ridiculous is the psychology of a few local politicians and local columnists of some regional dailies, who start behaving like some renowned celebrity and give likes and replies only to those with a blue tick attached behind their names.😃🤣 Nobody knows them outside their region. But still they consider themselves as celebrities.😃🤣

Men my age? 😒 Men 30+? Now THAT is where it's at. You know what time it is my fellow members of Team Geriatric. Beware, once you have entered DILFville, there is no turning back- it's time to pay these absolute MEN some homage and appreciation, so, not in any particular order, give it up for the DILF Cinematic Universe + every movie/show I've seen them in. Do feel free to suggest more movies with them, I'm always game for content to hyperfixate on. Remember, these are based on my type- you don't have to agree with them ^^ See part 2 below!

🔥 abt the ff :0
The MCU is not going to be able to do the FF justice, they had 13 years to build a family dynamic with the Avengers and all I got is 'coworkers that barely tolerate each other'. They're not gonna do the FF any better
Sue Storm is the most powerful member of the FF
Johnny is second idc
Reed isn't a bad dad!!!! Reed is one of the better comic book dads!!! Reed loves his kids so much there is nothing he wouldn't do for his family and anyone who says he's a bad father/bad husband/bad friend has never picked up a single comic I stg
They need a new writer ASAP
Since the Maker is coming back, Reed should be allowed to punch him at least once. It's just what he deserves
I think Sue should be allowed to kill Xavier at this point
Franklin should be a mutant again :(
Val is the funniest member of the FF and I do not know why
Just from how bad it is every time she shows up, no Marvel writer should be allowed to use Lyja. I want at least two decades where I don't have to see her
While I do agree that Sky is a bad character, some FF fans really need to check the racism
The only FF-related fancast I've seen that I like is Rahul Kohli as Reed Richards. I'm sorry, but he'd be great
The white married couple everyone is obsessed with and want to be ReedSue is :/ I simply do not see it. At all.
The new movies shouldn't use Doom or Galactus as their first villain. Use Mole Man or something
Society has moved past the need for NamorSue
Life Story is just bad

( rahul kohli. 36. he/they. cis man. ) are you a HERO? something tells me that a bag of frozen peas, empty coffee cups, a quiver full of trick arrows make you who you are, CLINT BARTON. with the powers of MASTER ARCHERY SKILLS, you’re sure to have a friendly, defiant personality — and you definitely belong to SHIELD. were you listening to HELP I’M ALIVE by METRIC on your way to the subway? it suits you. we can’t wait to see what you do next! ( claire. 23. she/her. gmt )
character name: clinton francis “clint” barton age: 36  faceclaim: rahul kohli voiceclaim: troy baker bc this masterpiece is something for sure (i’m not here for renner & bless rahul he can’t do an american accent to save their life) skill set: master archer, master martial artist,  affiliations: the avengers, shield family:  harold barton (father, deceased), edith barton (mother, deceased), barney barton (brother) zodiac: cancer (june 18, 1988) wiki link: i’ll mostly be going off of 616 clint (especially the fraction run!), but using some elements of mcu timeline etc (also the hawkeye show was kinda good so i don’t hate every single piece of mcu clint anymore but don’t tell anyone i said that)
(tw death, violence, brief abuse mention)
was your character “blipped” out? if so, what did they return to and how is it affecting them? if not, who important to them was blipped out, and what has it felt like after those five years have passed?
Unfortunately, no, Clint was not blipped. It was bleak. We don’t talk about The Ronin Years they spent off the grid working out their rage issues, because it was an incredibly bad, sad, mournful experience for all involved. Clint felt the loss of his friends and family deeply, and took it to heart, okay? He’s working through some stuff.
where are they living? are they living with anyone?
Clint has become the landlord of a kind of grimy apartment block in Brooklyn, and has commandeered a loft for himself. Also Lucky, his dog (the best dog, fight him). And Kate’s allowed to crash sometimes, too.
why is your character affiliated with who they’re affiliated with?
who are their major friends, allies, and foes?
major friends: natasha romanoff, kate bishop, bobbi morse (sorta? kinda? it’s complicated), jessica drew, lucky the pizza dog
major allies: the avengers, shield, yelena belova (??), apparently wolverine and also bucky barnes?
major foes: the russian bro mob, barney barton (yes, his brother)
whose hands do they believe the country should be in?
At this point, Clint could not give less of a shit. Overthrow the government, burn the whole system down, whatever. Just let them take a nap.
what’s their current mental state at? their physical state?
Physically? Oh, great. Grand. Never better. (This is 100% a joke, Clint Barton is falling apart at the seams.) He’s constantly covered in scrapes and bruises, and has yet to meet an injury a bag of frozen vegetables can’t cure. The bandaids on his face are pretty much a permanent accessory at this point. He’s in technically very good physical shape, but he doesn’t have superpowers, and, as much as he hates to admit it, he’s not getting any younger. He’s put a lot of strain on his body over the years, and it’s starting to catch up.
Clint is also partially/severely deaf due to a combination of in-action injury and childhood trauma. They wear hearing aids and mostly gets by just fine--or as fine as Clint can ever get by.
Emotionally? Also a mess! Maybe worse! Exhausted! Heartbroken! Lonely! Left behind! After a career as the spare circus Avenger and a few healthy decades without sleep, he’s never been great at healthy life choices. Natasha’s death in particular destroyed him, and he’s been grieving deeply, making worse choices than usual, trying to keep it together for Kate and Lucky. He’ll get by. He always does somehow.

Midnight Mass Ending Explained
https://ift.tt/39I2zkp
This article contains spoilers for Midnight Mass.
Ending a horror story is hard.
Perhaps no one knows that better than Mike Flanagan, the writer-director behind horror hits like Doctor Sleep, The Haunting of Hill House, and The Haunting of Bly Manor. After observing the occasional less-than-enthusiastic reaction to the endings of some of his other projects, Flanagan decided to end his latest, Netflix series Midnight Mass, on his own terms.
“I didn’t want to come up with an ending that I thought would please people,” Flanagan told Den of Geek and other outlets prior to Midnight Mass’s premiere. “I wanted to come up with the ending that would have the most to say down the line.”
So what, exactly, does the ending of Midnight Mass have to say? Let’s explain just what goes down in the conclusion of Midnight Mass and assess what it all means.
What’s Up with Mildred Gunning and John Pruitt?
Monsignor John Pruitt a.k.a. Father Paul (Hamish Linklater) was, by all indications, a good Christian man.
“The thing we kept coming back to is that authentically, through-and-through evil people are very rare. We’re all way more complicated. The humanity of Father Paul was something that was baked in relatively early,” Flanagan says.
Though Pruitt is not a bad man, per se, he is a deeply flawed one. A long time ago, before the “war” (probably World War II or The Korean War), Pruitt hooked up with the married Mildred Gunning and fathered their daughter Sarah Gunning out of wedlock. That is obviously a big no-no for a priest and Pruitt lived with the guilt of denying his daughter for decades.
Pruitt finally got a chance to alleviate that guilt when he came across a curious creature in Damascus. In this fictional universe where the concept of a vampire is clearly not well known, John Pruitt made the understandable mistake of confusing a monstrous vampire for an equally monstrous angel. After all, the angels of the bible are so visually terrifying that they make a habit of telling those they visit “be not afraid.”
Pruitt thought this angel had granted him the gift of eternal life, just like the Bible promises. He then decides to share that gift with his congregation. The priest’s major sin here though is pride. He didn’t share the angel’s gift with his congregation out of pure benevolence. He did it because he wanted many more years of life in his prime with Mildred and Sarah at his side. Catholicism means everything to Pruitt. And yet, he would cast it all aside for another chance to have the family he wanted.
“If you showed up and asked me, I would have taken this collar off and gone with you. Gone with you anywhere in the world,” Pruitt tells Mildred after she’s been vampirified.
That’s a touching sentiment from the artist formerly known as Father Paul but it’s unfortunately a destructive one.
“When it became clear that Paul could do bad things with pure motives, the show came into clearer focus. There’s only one character in the whole show who I think is evil and it’s not Father Paul,” Flanagan says.
Only one character who is evil? Who could Flanagan be referr….ohhh.
What Were the Vampires’ Plans?
Flanagan actually never confirms which character he sees as evil, but Bev Keane (Samantha Sloyan) seems to be the best fit…unless we count the angel, and he just seems to be a hungry, growing boy.
Bev is, let’s say, a real piece of work. As beautifully depicted by Sloyan, Bev Keane is the officious church lady who can’t keep her nose out of other people’s business. After Mildred talks some sense into John Pruitt, he understands that he and his congregation “are the wolves” and refuses to participate further. That leaves a power vacuum at the top, which Bev is more than happy to step into.

Midnight Mass Cast: Previous Credits From Hill House to Bly Manor, Legion & Sherlock
By Louisa Mellor
Now that Bev has a veritable army of superpowered vampires what does she intend to do with them? The same thing that all Bevs want to do: make more Bevs. Bev represents the worst of colonial Christianity and its historical penchant for converting all to its kingdom of heaven…through any means necessary.
When Erin Greene (Kate Siegel) finds out that Bev and friends have merely disabled the boats and not destroyed them, she realizes that their ultimate plan is to eventually take their vampire party to the mainland and create a whole planet of enlightened Christians who just happy to have an insatiable taste for blood and a severe UV-ray allergy.
What Happens to Crockett Island?
Thankfully, Bev’s ultimate goal never comes to pass thanks to the careful plotting of the handful of human beings left in Crockett Island. Erin Greene, Sarah Gunning (Annabeth Gish), Sheriff Hassan (Rahul Kohli), and Annie Flynn (Kirstin Lehman) get to work on finishing the destruction that Bev started.
Ironically, it’s part of Bev’s plan that eventually dooms her and her kind. When one of Bev’s lackeys proposes putting out a fire that the human crew started because the whole island could burn to nothing like in ‘84, Bev’s eyes light up.
“I mean…the church didn’t burn in ‘84,” she says.
Surely this is Revelation. And Revelation means a hale mixed with fire and blood. There will be a flood of fire that ends the world and St. Patrick’s church will be the arc. That’s a great plan and all…as long as something doesn’t happen to the arc.
Welp. Sarah Gunning burns down St. Patrick’s and Sheriff Hassan and Erin Greene (with an assist from Hassan’s son) burn down the rec center. As if burning a church designated as an arc wasn’t symbolically compelling enough, recall that the rec center next to it is equally as symbolic of Bev’s greed. It was Bev who convinced Crockett Island to take the oil company’s money for ruining their island rather than pursuing litigation. And all they got out of that settlement money was that stupid rec center.
With the church and the rec center gone, there are no man-made structures for the vampires to hide from the sun in the coming morning. And that’s how an entire island of 120-ish vampires perishes simultaneously when the sun rises.
Why Do Leeza and Warren Survive?
All of Crockett Island perishes save for two actually. Warren Flynn (Igby Rigney) and Leeza Scarborough (Annarah Cymone) are spared thanks to some quick thinking. Putting the only two remaining non-vampirized children in harm’s way is not an option for Erin, Sarah, Hassan, and Annie. Thankfully, Warren knows of one secret canoe to reach the “Uppards” that Bev’s crew wouldn’t know about.
The canoe doesn’t take Warren and Leeza to the mainland but it does get them away from the carnage to come. The last shot of the series is Warren and Leeza floating peacefully and Leeza announcing that she can no longer feel her legs. This means that the last bit of “angel” blood has likely left her system and with it Pruitt’s vampire legacy is over.
Saving Warren and Leeza has practical, emotional implications for Midnight Mass’s characters but it also has some symbolic ones as well. The concept of witnessing and witnesses themselves are very important in the Bible. As a second-hand text (though purportedly with every word inspired by God) there would be no gospel without witnesses. Good news is only half the battle. Someone to witness and report on the good news is the other half. Now Warren and Leeza can report on the ultimate good news that the world is saved.
The fact that the kids survive while the adults succumb to their own adult nonsense has some major implications for Midnight Mass’s creator
“That last moment of the next generation looking out at the ashes of what the grown ups made – that’s what my kids are gonna get no matter what,” Flanagan says. “That’s what all of our kids are gonna get. I wish it wasn’t as on fire as it it. But it really is. We’re never going to be able to explain adequately to our children what happened to the planet they inherited.”
What Happens to the Angel?
With all of Crockett Island burned to the ground, the world’s vampire nightmare is over, right? Well that depends on how well you think an angel can fly with torn wings. No, that’s not an aphorism or a poem, it’s the real question facing the end of Midnight Mass.
As if saving Warren and Leeza and upending Bev Keane’s plans weren’t enough, Erin leaves one last little gift for humanity before she dies. While the angel attacks her and drinks her sweet, sweet blood, Erin begins systematically, yet carefully cutting holes in its leathery wings. At first the angel is kind of annoyed but his hunger supersedes any level of discomfort or pain he’s feeling.
Later on, while Warren and Leeza watch their home burn they see the angel flying away but in a halted, loopy pattern. The kids aren’t sure if the beast will have time to find shelter before the sun rises. According to Flanagan, if Midnight Mass is a parable (and he assures us it is) then the ultimate lesson of all this isn’t too hard to glean.
“The angel doesn’t represent vampirism or horror but corruption in any belief system,” he says. “It represents fundamentalism and fanaticism. That’s never gonna go away. You might chase it away from your community for a minute. You might send it off to the sunrise and hope that that corrupting ideology will disappear. But it won’t. And the show could never show the angel die for that reason.”
With that in mind, the angel’s flawed flight pattern isn’t so much Inception’s spinning top but rather a promise that evil will find a way. And then we puny human beings will just have to find a way to stop it all over again. If that’s not Biblical then we don’t know what is.

Is Rob Thomas Jealous of Taylor Sheridan’s Success?
Tumblr media
Remember when Taylor Sheridan was nominated for an Oscar for ‘Hell Or High Water’? Although Rob Thomas did congratulate him for his nomination, some people detected some sarcastic undertone within his tweet. Don’t know whether they are friends in real life or not, but many suspected that RT was a bit envious that TS was nominated for Best Writing.
Before he was famous as a great screenwriter who also wrote the acclaimed ‘Sicario’ franchise, he appeared as a recurring character Danny Boyd in VMars. You may remember Danny Boyd; one of the cousins of the Fitzpatrick and specifically Liam’s right-hand man. He also played the great Sheriff/Deputy Chief Hale from Sons of Anarchy. After many stints as recurring characters in many shows, he started to write a screenplay. Sicario is a film about Cartel hitmen and Narcos. Very well written and made, and it made him a household name.
Tumblr media
This is why fans took notice when Rob started to inserted many Narcos-style storylines about a cartel hitman in Neptune (season 4 VMars). The plot was weak and seemed out of place from the whole VMars vibe. Rob wanted to put every ingredient that made Cartel drama, Noir, Comedy, and Romance into this one miniseries, he forgot about the characters and what made it good in the first place. He wanted to be taken as a “serious” writer so much, he forgot that he was using an existing show with a different vibe and insisted that the show was matured. He wanted the show to be Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Sons of Anarchy, Sicario... but he ended up using all the tropes into this blender and the result is a mess. It’s like making ice cream but then he decided to add some onions just to spice things up.
Rob is well known to ‘borrow’ many plots and storylines from his favorite movies into his shows. He claims that it’s more of a homage. But when every episode of his shows is some kind of homage of something, it bears a question of whether he could write an original story or not.
Tumblr media
Taylor Sheridan’s Sicario was less about the hitmen plot but more about the characters. Many shows like Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and many more are about the characters and how much they are written brilliantly. Fans love the shows not just because of the plots (although they are good), but because of the characters. Fans care about them and want to see more of them. The plots are there to accompany them, not the other way around.
Rob thinks to get taken seriously is to have all those plots into one giant bowl. He forgot about the characters; therefore he forgot what made the show brilliant. He forgot (or ignore) why the show was great; it was all about the characters. And the fact that he is also jealous (based on his tweets back then) about his fellow creators, kinda cemented the idea that he is stuck in an old school writing that he is accustomed to and not liking the idea that other writers from his generation are more successful and more acclaimed than him.
Tumblr media
What he said about Taylor Sheridan made people frown. He said, “Hey remember this guy who played this loser Danny Boyd?” (Paraphrasing, of course) and then he posted an unflattering picture of the character. “I made him!” I think many fans pointed out on Twitter that he was only joking, but could feel the jealousy seeping through the tweet.
When Jessica Chastain was nominated for an Oscar, he also tweeted, “I am assuming Jessica Chastain will thank me profusely in her acceptance speech tonight. Veronica Mars made her career!” Fans of Chastain (who didn’t know who he was and thought that he was the singer of Matchbox 20) immediately roasted him on Twitter, calling him out, and got angry because this man claiming that her success was because of him. He immediately said that he was only joking and that he was proud of her, that an Oscar nominee used to be on his show.
Tumblr media
But this has become a pattern, that when someone he knew suddenly become successful, he would joke that they should thank him. Fans were surprised that he never said anything about Tessa Thompson’s success and soaring career when he was on Twitter, but glad that he didn’t. The only actors that always praising Tessa Thompson are Percy Daggs III, Erica Gimpel, Francis Capra, Jason Dohring, and Kyle Gallner. Fans never heard Rob Thomas said anything about her, but maybe that was a good thing. Tessa Thompson mentioned that she had a bad experience on the set of VMars because of the way they treated her character and the fact that they straightened her curly hair so it wouldn't look “ghetto”, and the fact that Rob wrote her character as a punching bag.
Tumblr media
Back to Taylor Sheridan, the man is now known as a successful writer-director who directed “Wind River”, a movie about the rape and murder of a Native American girl on tribal lands, and is meant to provoke conversation about the exploitation experienced by indigenous women. When the movie was bought by The Weinstein Company, Taylor Sheridan threatened to destroy the movie after Harvey Weinstein's scandals. “I said, if my movie’s going to die, I’ll be the one to kill it,” Sheridan said in an interview. “I will take my name off it, and publicly denounce it. I would have said, don’t go see this movie, don’t rent it, don’t watch it. If he was going to remain publicly attached if he was going to benefit from a film highlighting the atrocity he perpetrated? No.” He also demanded that the proceeds from the movie would be given to charity and women’s organizations.
He was ready to nuke his own movie before letting it live on with Weinstein branding. Some of us always pondered... Whether Rob would even do the same thing (denounce his movie, giving the film money to charity, etc)? Judging by his own scandalous iZombie tv show when Robert Knepper guest-starred in the show it seems he wouldn't nor care. He never publicly comment about Robert Knepper and his rape allegations. The only people who commented were the actors like Rahul Kohli, Malcolm Goodwin, Robert Buckley, and Rose McIver. Maybe the people (Rob and Diane) who write rape in every show as plot devices but not as raising awareness are not really feminists as they claimed to be.
Tumblr media
Taylor Sheridan might not be the next great screenwriter; occasionally his works are problematic. He is this manly Marlboro man writer who writes about men even when he writes about feminist stuff. His female characters sometimes are white and pretty with the tendency of damsel in distress or white saviors. But at least he is trying to hone his skill to be a better writer. We will see more about his future in interest. In conclusion, Taylor Sheridan, the glorified extra from Veronica Mars probably deserves those recognitions. Rob Thomas can steam.

AHSOKA ALREADY!!! FUCK YES
THE DUAL WHITE LIGHTSABERS!!!!!!!
still bummed bc why do good roles happen to bad ppl???
I hate the actress but Ahsoka looks so fucking good!!!! love seeing live action Togrutas!!!!!
I can just tell this episode is gonna be full of gay excellence, between disaster bi Din and distinguished lesbian Ahsoka
ooooh dad!Din will forever own me

I also love that anytime there's a city or community in need of help Din's Mando spidey senses go off and he appears to help
baby just plopping down on the ramp, so cute
I really love the aesthetic of this planet tbh: the off green hue and fog, the big creatures in the woods, people being cagey
bro is that fucking space crucifixion?????
ok but Mando walking through the doors to see the magistrate and suddenly the air is clear and there's water and it's so nice: too real
Oh fuck are we gonna get a Din vs Ahsoka fight?!

I really love how they're trying it into the movies in a really organic feeling way, like it doesn't feel forced or retcon-y
Din just learning that the Child's powers and The Force are the same thing
like I'm sure he's like "wait that's what the Force is?! That's what it means when I've said 'may the Force be with you'?!"
is she gonna throw rocks at the baby?!
oh, no, this makes way more sense, I thought she was gonna start chucking rocks at him to see if he could stop them jfc

omfg if he listens to Din and only him I'll fucking cry
ngl it really is weird hearing him call the baby by name
THE BALL INSTEAD OF THE ROCK!!!
"Good job, kid!"

I forgot how much I hate the whole Jedis can't have attachments thing
this burgeoning friendship with Din and Ahsoka is peak mlm/wlw solidarity
YES ALSO MANDALORIAN/JEDI SOLIDARITY I FUCKING LOVE IT

WAS THAT A LOTH CAT?!
oh jeez for a second I thought that lovely random citizen was gonna end up caught in the middle and die and I was gonna cry
I love the set up for these fights!!! the Ahsoka vs the Magistrate it's very old time samurai vibes and Din vs what's his nuts has a ton of Western standoff vibes
I just really love this show, y'know
yo there's something very intriguing about this second in command guy h
GRAND ADMIRAL THRAWN
yay my random citizen guy got the recognition he deserved
DIN WITH A SPEAR!!!!! BI RIGHTS!!!!
she's just gonna take off before he gets back with the baby, huh?
he just called him buddy😭
"time to say goodbye" don't fucking do this to me
OF COURSE HE'S LIKE A FATHER TO HIM, HE IS HIS FATHER
"A Jedi may come searching for him" oh like Rahul Kohli as Ezra Bridger perhaps???
maybe a Mandalorian and a Jedi like Sabine Wren?
that kinda sad kinda hopeful longing look on Ahsoka's face as they leave, with the music in the background 😭

BLAKE JOLLEY —
IG info/bio: @/jollyblke | 8.4k followers | Activist | I’m here to save the world, it’s my right. & You should care about your environment too, get active. If not? Leave. Visit: theindigenousmovement.com
22 (23) years old
From Kensington, England
Choctaw nation & proud
Visits Oklahoma every other summer...sometimes it’s every few years
Majority of her family lives there on a reservation
She’s made a name for herself in the town for speaking up for the missing and m*rdered women of her community & how they continue to sweep that shit under the rug
Call it what it is, genocide
Has been arrested & charged a few times
Has a sense of dread when she goes back but also a form of happiness since her mom, some of her sibs, and other family members are there
Has 7 siblings
4 boys, 3 girls
Chelsea found that so facisinating!
I feel like there’s two sides to Blake? Either she’s rooting for you or she’s shitting you, there’s no in between
Willing to communicate & have intellectual conversations
Has to be in the mood to socialize, sometimes she just prefers NOT to talk since that requires energy
Always tired, doesn’t sleep much, probably has insomnia a little bit
Was on the debate team in secondary
Either you like her or you hate her, either way that’s a you problem
Kinda a loner, keeps to herself—always feeling like people should be doing more with their time on this earth
But she also understands that there are moments where you need to chill/relax/ have fun or take some time out for yourself
Donates to woman’s shelters often
Attends & organizes protests
Minimal makeup: mascara, nude blush, moisturizer mixed with sunscreen, a lip tint & she’s on her way
Knows how to ride a bull but will only do so if she’s back in Oklahoma
Knows how to work a g*n & is licensed to carry but prefers not to
Enjoys cliff diving & swimming as a form of exercise (not counting the hr long protests she travels to & attends)
Will do leg exercises more than anything at home, does not have a gym membership & will never get one
Favorite color is in the tropical blue shades: turquoise & aqua
Her home is her personal sanctuary, where she feels the most safe & allowed to be herself. Doesn’t invite anyone over to mess with the energy she has there, afraid that they’ll ruin that. She’ll meet you somewhere but one thing you’re not going to do is come into her space
Always has kale & quinoa in her flat
Has a chronic stomach condition
She’s a very blunt person & many don’t take that lightly, she doesn’t sugarcoat anything
Doesn’t have much experience in the love department
A few have tried but she either ignores them or tells them straight up that she’s not interested, always was focused on her school work & other things
That’s why she’s single
Now that she’s in her early twenties she feels like that she needs to experience love
She feels like she wants it? However a part of her isn’t sure if it’s something that she truly needs?
Possibly aromantic?
so when she met henrik, she immediately felt platonic energy with him & didn’t mind exploring it but also found noah quite aesthetically attractive?
Henrik fit into her lifestyle nicely outside of the villa, it was nice having someone else to talk to & spend time with. She wasn’t sure how she was meant to feel when he asked her to be his gf inside & outside the villa but she agreed so why not?
Her mother felt like she shouldn’t analyze the boy as if he was some sort of experiment, Blake did like watching experimental movies/documentaries based on true events or reading about them but she truly did not feel like that’s what she was doing with henrik
They had their differences ofc, henrik was more easy going/chill when it came to things whereas Blake observed before she attacked. If It don’t sit right with her, she’s gonna say some shit
She was the one to call it quits with henrik after almost two years passed
She was not heartbroken over it but she did realize how things changed now that he was no longer in her life
Loves clothing that have slits in them or v-necks
Loves going to flower shops since they remind her of her mom
I feel like she smells like cherries & cashmere musk
Adores sunsets, that’s the time of day where she feels most at ease
Interested in photography & is currently exploring what is her best subject to shoot...her activism helps
she hopes to have her own biography made about her one day
learning to gradually let her walls down but it’s extremely hard to do with the negative energy the world brings
Is cordial with mc...after some years have passed and they and their significant other always feel the need to have meet ups once a year where they invite EVERYONE somewhere else
Blake feels like they still have ties with the production company of love island but that’s not her business
Unless her services are truly required and the $ is right or if Elisa decides to drag her then she’s not going
Being on reality tv was not her main purpose
She hated the superficial and trying hard, things should just be natural
She’s above love island now & she doesn’t need to see henrik or Lucas OR single Noah every year
Her profile is filled with activism and how people can get involved
Along with a good dump of her face, she knew she was pretty but she didn’t need to use that to her advantage there was, “more to life than shallowness”
She barely remembers the other girls she entered the villa with. she thinks one or two tried to reach out to her in her dms but she ignored them
Is indifferent towards Shannon & jo
she gets jo confused with lily from season 3 when they both pop up on her explore feed. Again she doesn’t know why insta feels the need to show her other people’s lives if she’s not following them in the first place?
Doesn’t follow people back unless she’s got a strong platonic connection with you
Has lunch & dinner dates with her dad since he resides in England as well
She believes her parents marriage is a reflection on her non-existent/small percentage of relationships
They live in two different countries and they’ve been married for 15 years & still seem to be in love...hey whatever works! It works for Dolly Parton & her husband although they live in the same house? I think
On the outside it seems like she has a cold heart and many around her have told her mainly her sibs but she doesn’t believe that’s completely true
She has feelings!
If she was truly cold hearted, she wouldn’t have any remorse for the bad she’s done or wouldn’t be fighting for those who deserve it right?
Cap sun + Scorpio moon + sag rising
Thinks Mena Massoud, Rami Malek, Ben Hardy, Rahul Kohli, Kurt Cobain, Manish Dayal, Janel Parrish, Charles Melton, Manny Jacinto, Miguel Gomez, & Clayton Cardenas are all nice to look at
Listens to: Yuna, Aly & AJ, Pip Millett, Jaz Kris, Sinhead Harnett, Iyamah, James Vickery, Maluma, Kanye West, emotional oranges, & Jimmie allen
Anthem? Hope Tala — All My girls like to fight
