why do i feel weirdly guilty for taking a day off of work to have necessary surgery 🤡

#they said i could go back to work but i did that last time and it was a pain so i took the day off #and i did a bunch of errands and Accomplished Things instead of napping which is what i wanted to do #then finally sat down to watch a movie and eat and im like....feeling guilty for not being at work #insane #to be fair the hour before i left yesterday was crazyyyy bc we had a kind of crisis #ibstayed a half hour late bc there wasnt enough coverage due to the crisis and i did my coworker's clean up for her bc she literally left #without finishing it #bc she was freaking out #crisis is one of the kids had lice lol #anyway she left without finishing her cleanup even tho the owner of the school and our boss's boss dropped by #to let us know the health department was coming thennext day (today)#and she Went Home even tho there was literally cottage cheese all over the floor wtf #anyway i was watching the kids while my supervisor bagged up all the stuffed toys and sheets and blankets etc to wash #then i did my other co teachers cleanup while my supervisor tried to do afternoon diapers but she was so late starting only 4 kids were lef #out of like 8 or 10 that probably should have been changed #so half of them went home without a final diaper change lmao #anyway #bugs 😬#i got a lice treatment shampoo and leave in conditioner but yuck #anyway i just felt really bad bc im out and they always need people but also im out on the day we're getting a ladt minute health inspectio #and i know that classroom is gross bc the cleaning crew thats supposed to come in every night has definitely not been doing that #this has been a shitpost #anyway my eye surgery hurts so bad wah 😭#its not even supposed to hurt that much but im like wicked sensitive to the light or something that it hurts a lot even w eye shields #and nobody is babying meeee #my mom made me clean the kitchen and the barn when we got home :(#my brother is making gf cookies for me tho but not bc of the surgery he just wants to try baking gf for me in general bc he's nice #also he's making 61 cookies by accident instead of 18 bc he doubled the recipe and then realized it was a recipe forngiant cookies lmao

Nooooo it’d just a tension headache I don’t have any migraine symptoms #(voice of guy who’s stubbornly ignoring their light and sound sensitivity to keep fighting absrad)#And then eventually it. Got so bad i couldnt focus on the game anymore. And i was like. Ok thats it no more game.#And then went to pick up a package (literal 300m walk) Both bc it was the last day to pick it up And to be like ok. If this is a tension -#- headache itll get Better. If it’s a migraine itll get Worse.#I’m fine the walk THERE. But then about halfway home it’s fucking Go Time for the migraine lmfaoooooo #(it was also Hot. and Sunny.)#by the time i got home i was like a solid. 9. on the uh. 1-10 pain scale. GREAT.#anyway then i took my prescription sumatriptan BELOVED and it got better within the hour and now im down to like a . 1-2 #which is so insanely good like. that never happens to me even when i DONT have a migraine. LMAO #anyway. this has been the fucking. Daily ted talk about my chronic migraine #dont worry a 9 isnt. Well it is a lot. But it’s not NEW .#happens occasionally #it hurts a Fucking Lot #i didnt even clock it as a 9 at first i was like. god… why would an 8 hurt this bad…#and then i iced my head for 15 minutes and it got better and i could think better and was like. wait no THIS is the 8. THAT was a NINE #im just glad i have fucking medication for it now #before i had to survive on PARACETAMOL. didnt do jack shit #had i not had the sumatriptan i Would still be in that much pain and probably writhing in bed unable to sleep lmfao #unmedicated chronic migraine Not Fun. do not try at home.

#okay so I'm gonna just ramble for a second okay #I had such a good day #I visited the school I'm going to be teaching in come august and everyone was nice to me and helped me out and gave me resources #like I met the rest of the department and they were all lovely and funny and kind and they included me and for the first time I didn't #really feel like a burden. I was getting passed from person to person for meetings and tours and 'baby-sitting' bc I don't technically work #there yet #but it just felt like they were thinking oh here's our new guy he doesn't know us or this place or what's going on better help them out #so I spent about 4-5 hours there today and already feel comfortable and like I'm going to like being there #I'll have my own classroom and classes and I'll get to be me and teach my way but they'll be there to help me ya know #I also met the guy who taught me geography for 5 years (and took a school trip to iceland (the country))#I wasn't sure he'd remember me bc I graduated 8 years ago so when I saw him in the corridor I just smiled and said hi #and he fully double-taked. I'm talking he'd walked by and then clicked like oh shit I know you.And we got to have a really nice wee catch up #despite the fact he told me I'd gone to the dark side by choosing chemistry over geography lmao #Anyway I'm done now I just wanted to log this feeling #personal

Nahhh I thought the whole “If you stay on an app long enough it’ll faintly burn into your screen” thing was super uncommon or smth but I’ve been on my Pages app writing literally all day like 7:00 AM — 5:00 PM and it’s LITERALLY BURNT INTO MY SCREEN LMFAOOO ITS SO WEIRD

first night without taking benadryl to sleep and Uh its bad again what the fuck man context and also giant rant in da tags

#basically for several weeks before leo benadryl era(tm) i could not sleep at all for many days at a time i was just Not Tired At All #and my sleep schedule was so fucked up and bad and terrible i would sleep for a whole day then go many days without sleeping over and over #And It was Bad so like last week i got sick of it and took like a billion shots of benadryl juice(tm) and Slept and it waswonderful #so ive been doing that every night since then and ive gone to sleep at 10 and woken up at 8 every day and world was so beautiful forever #cept like four days into leo benadryl era i figured i had gotten into a routine so i Did Not take anything that night and #didn't feel tired. At All . ruined everything for a whole day #so i continued #but now we're out of benadryl cause ive drank it all #and im not allowed to buy it myself cause its a drug #and i cant tell my mom cause she doesnt understand #and im like .
