At the beginning option - would start after Flower/PV met Petunia and Lummis or shortly after the accolade

In the middle option - would start ~1.5 after the accolade, shortly after the infection was taken care of, Ghost and Radiance would be present in the story, Flower would still have tense relationship with a lot of people but starts to slowly open up

Towards the end of the main plot - shortly before or after Flower decides to resume contact with their parents, would focus on more slice of life experience with Flower and their parents trying to build some sort of relationship, lots of tension, possibly would involve something with The Shade Lord and/or Norel (I think it'd work the best for the ask blog format + would love to write more about that period of their relationship)

Or you could propose something else (More of the future stuff? Maybe some other point in time? A different branch? Maybe a different AU? Obviously more aimed towards people who know more in-depth timeline/lore of the AU)

donr make fun of me I know and I'm sorry but I'm struggling to decide whether I want my pre-atla world to be more based off around like the 16 kingdoms period or if I should go with the tang dynasty instead which I guess migjt be easier like I really want to focus on chang'an but the capital changes are kind of annoying like it eas barely even the capital of western jin too many changes eurgh and I'm going to be honest I still get confused like bad and it will take me a long time to read and plan enough to make it work.

either way I'm also going to focus on northern nomadic groups and other northern cultures it's just a matter of which ones depending on the time period. but I'm keeping my options open with the time periods because I'm sort of thinking about putting in a cold palace type of situation for the concubine the mc would be the maid of but it's also a little unnecessary and dramatic and tacky and I first considered it because I wanted the earth king (thinking of changing that title depending on other factors but im not sure) to not really pay attention to his one waterbender child or the mother so that I could reasonably make the switch and have my mc live princessly in place of the child, who was actually a son but not declared so officially by the mother's decision due to it just being politically not very safe otherwise and it's bad enough that it's quite cliche like it's sucks I know.

but I'm still not sure how to make that plausible enough other than to have the waterbending child be isolated because of illness or a lack of favor severe enough for that kind of thing to work like um I don't know.. like what are the systems that I have to work with here I don't know it's all scrambled in my brain and it's kind of a stretch so. but like it also isn't real. I do think I could do something similar to what the emperor in the rise of phoenixes did when he sent one of the princes to like the border when he was 10 years old but I'm not sure if doing that to a daughter would fit the same like quite harsh... but well I don't know. making an atla palace drama thing is already pretty silly I suppose it's going to suck regardless but still.. anyuway so like 300-500ad or closer to tang dynasty ^_^?

oh it's fun that we're doing a communal twig read even if i do think people should read pact instead. in thinking it over the only thing i remember is the project name which i remember assuming was more like. Supposed to be unnerving and obviously an indicator of a fucked up little viewpoint towards her but on a more "poetic" or pseudo level rather than indicating he had been explicitly sexually abusing her. i do politely beseech twig readers to tell anon and me what pre arc 8 part we missed indicating it. honestly i migjt have been oblivious in part because i severely underestimated the extent to which he would be confidently comfortable in being able to assault helen, given that helen is helen. but it would 100% make sense and work really well as character writing for him to have that completely unearned feeling of like. confident ownership of and safety around his perfect galatea creation helen, in contrast to the lambs' constant awareness of how much like a dangerous animal worthy of respecting she is. especially would make the end of her interlude more effective where he has the chilling experience of helen stating that she would never gore him sexually and then making clear its not out of respect for her creator or because he controls her or whatever else but simply that she only wants to do it to strong people and he's weak. weak and impotent and controlling her acts doesn't mean he has a single finger on the Thing laying underneath. she's such an interesting character

Thinking about a tanjiro x reader fanfic idea when I was listening to “Romance” by YOASABI. Maybe its just me but I really love the idea of communicating to the past like that shits got me so hyped and stuff.

So heres the idea :

If you could add one custom magic card to the game, what would it be?

this is a great question and im not sure i have a super interesting answer but i do have several hyperfixations at the moment that make me want specific cards added to the game!!

first thing i probably want is more rad counter cards. i love tjis mechanic and it plays really well i feel like so id kill for more of it. id love something that gives rad counters on a more consistent basis than on etb like most of them do. if i could have something that triggers more rad counters on more basic game actions such as me or my opponents drawing extra cards or maybe when they cast a spell (i know we have nuka nuke launcher but its more limited) but im afraid that getting rad counters more easily migjt be too good or make milling too easy in mothman. but i would love something like whenever a player draws a card excpet the first one in each of their draw steps, they get a rad counter. or something lmao

second is if i could add any card treatment to the game. i would add an extended art, non-foil the wise mothman. yes im aware i have a problem and all i can think about is mothman rn but can you blame me!! he's so cool... anyway extended art is my fav commonly used treatment of cards and i love playing those versions and also mothman deserves a non foil version. i would use it all the time and id be so fucking happy like plz i shouldnt be forced to play the foil one why isnt there an extended art one 🥺

the last thing i can think of (i mentioned this in a previous post) is a red inner demon so i can play it in three dog. the idea of saccing a inner demon and then making like 10 copies of it on my other creatures thus making them all big flying demons and wiping the board of non demons sounds like such a fun line and i have to fo it at some point in my life

I feel bad for an old friend of mine. In high school, he was super talented at math and science. He also really loved it. Never known somebody more enthusiastic about math and physics. But then, in the last year or so of school, he got into this weird "effective altruism" thing. Which seems to have been some kind of libertarian trojan horse thing. It was all about how its pointless to try and truly change the world and only doing stuff with a tangible outcome. Thinking back thats when he started expressing doubts about academia and how the competitive cut troaght all research life migjt be too stressful. which was weird because he was super competitive and always researching and thinking shit. Anyway he changed his career plans and started studying Economics and Philosophy. And my god was he depressed. He had to resit his entire first year of college. If you'd seen his work ethic and grades in high school, you'd know how big a deal this was. Anyway he's kind of seemed at a loose end ever since. He only really knows people through conferences of the effective altruism crowd, and he's kind of put most fun things behind him. Because he still puts in that work ethic. He's just not getting as much enjoyment out of it. Basically he got way too into this shit right when he was making a huge decision, and it seems like its been nothing but bad for him. He should have stuck with science. He was happier with it, and also more fun to talk to. Because he's very libertarian now. Be academics, not libertarian think tank wannabes

i say this a lot one of the smartest things the mafia 3 writers did was humanize sal without making him sympathetic. he's a character who's so so easy to hate, and rightfully so, but he's so human. he's in the mob to make a living and he wants to get out when that stops being viable. he starts panicking when things stop going his way. he wants a good life for his son, and he will do anything to get it, no matter who he has to fuck over. the fact that sal has loved ones makes him all the more horrifying. he's not a cackling, evil villain who does awful things for the fun of it, he does it because he wants something and thinks he's justified in what he does to get it.

his characterization really drives home the point that atrocities can be committed by people with love in their hearts, and that's far more terrifying than the idea that they're committed by people who are completely heartless and self absorbed. it means you might know a sal marcano. it means you migjt have the capability to become a sal marcano, because the ability to love does not prevent it; you have to choose not to be like him. it also, by extension, makes giorgi a more interesting character, because it raises the question: a horrible person loves you and would do anything, no matter how reprehensible, to ensure your wellbeing (and more than that). what do you do then?
