Its canon that Charlie herself is an artist, she makes her own presentations and everything! Shes very open to sharing her supplies with you, though a lot of the colors she has are very bright and saturated. You might inspire her to have an artsy based exercise in the hotel, you... may get a few groans and looks from some of the other hotel residents.. whoops.. gushes and goes insane whenever you make something for her or really show her anything, she can go on for hours and hours about how lovely your work looks! VAGGIE

Not at all an artist, and she doesnt... exactly know techniques and terms. She is proud of you and shes trying her best to show that, but... her compliments seem to fall a little flat when praising you thanks to her voice as well as her just not knowing terms. A lot of the time its comments like "oh, this looks good," whereas other characters can say WHY it's good. Though is that really that important when seeking validation? Keeps all the art you give her in a folder somewhere, neat and away from harm

ANGEL

It should be a given that hes going to ask if you can draw something... rather inappropriate. Were you really surprised? He might likely also ask you to draw fat nuggets, he even offers to pay you. Keeps some of your doodles pinned up on his vanity mirror on his room. Hes an artist, just not in the way you are. He has an appreciation for your work even if it's a different genre! It doesnt matter what your skill level is, hes going to be a little interested. He offers to pose for you if you need a quick reference, he can offer something interesting thanks to his flexibility! Free of charge, too!

ALASTOR

Similar to Angel, hes an artist just in a different way! Angel is a dancer and an actor, and Alastor uses radio as his medium! Hes.. interested enough in your work, though he can be a little more.. critical in his criticisms (but only if you ask for it, hes not rude!). He doesnt intent to fully stamp out your excitement, hes simply trying to get you to reach your fullest potential as an artist. It is balanced out by elements he enjoys in your art. Watches you like a hawk when you work. Dont try to be sneaky and try to draw him, he already knows what you're doing.. but he might just allow it, it's not like you're using a camera

HUSK

Hes indifferent, at least.. mostly.. he listens when you talk about your hobby and he makes sure you know hes paying attention. But you can tell that hes not sure how to keep the conversation going thanks to him just... not being into art. Sure he can tell when something has talent and had work put into it, but hes not the type to sit down and really dissect a piece. Though... his appreciation for art does grow thanks to you. Keeps the doodles you slide to him while he's working the bar- gets a little pissed at himself if part of the papers get wet from the condensation from the drinks

SIR PENTIOUS

She draws! As a hobby and when shes not warring with the bugs in the hotel! Sometimes the two of you sit and draw together- though Niftys more.. scribbling on the papers. Shes just excited is all! Don't ask where she got the red paint from. Hoardes the art you give her, very possessive of the drawings. Probably attempts to stab someone if they get too close to her stash

Hes a bit artistic himself, being an inventor and all! He draws his own blueprints and as well as his own designs. It may not be the same as the things you may create, but it's still a bonding point between the two of you. He let's you use his fancy pens and stuff, just please return them! Will praise you to heaven and back whenever you show him something, he knows some art terms and you can bet hes going to be using them to really push his praise! If you ever draw him anything hes going to keep it, likely framing it as well!

Do u ever think about kenji and dazai? Dazai who came to the agency with the goal of being good and saving the orphans bestowed on him. And then, a few years later, meeting a young boy that moved across the country at age 14 to help people, with power too great that he may not even understand it. A boy that despite facing death and tragedy in every day life because of his new profession, never stops seeing the good in people. Does dazai think back to himself at age 15, already yearning for death, hands already stained with blood. I wonder, would he admire kenji for his hope in the face of some of the darkest depths of humanity, offering to buy him some ice cream on a particular hot day (with kunikidas money of course) or accompanying the young boy on jobs. I wonder, though I think that just means I'm overthinking it lmao.

watched The Sea Beast again like two days ago and couldnt help but think of a new au SOOOOOOO

Y/N would be a hunter of the sea monsters. They’d be either the captain or someone else important on the ship.

When Y/N was younger, they met the also young Sun and Moon. Sun and Moon were pretty small when they were younger. Y/N met them when they looked over the edge of the ship and saw them down below just scratching at the sides. (they wanted food sooo Y/N gave them some food)

A bunch of years later, Y/N thought the interaction was just their imagination.

Y/N’s crew finds Sun and Moon(also known as the Celestial Reapers??maybbbee). The sun is setting around this time. They get into a battle. The crew firing their canons and throwing their spears. Sun and Moon are huge btw and are attacking the ship. Y/N accidentally fell off the ship. The ship was badly damaged so they sailed away quickly and didn’t hear Y/N calling out for them.

It was night by now. Y/N was able to rest on a piece of wood. They kept staring at themselves in the water till they closed their eyes due to exhaustion but before they slept they barely noticed the pair of eyes staring up at them in the depth of the water.

Y/N wakes up and is immediately met with a huge yellow sea beast right in front of them. They obviously freak out and panic while Sun just stares. Then Sun picks them up and Y/N is flailing around(giving weak punches which doesn’t harm Sun at all).

Sun and Moon remember who they are from all those years ago and get excited, taking Y/N to that monster island. Y/N is terrified because they have no idea what’s happening or where they’re going.

There would just be a bunch of shenanigans of Y/N trying to run away while Sun and Moon are trying to hang out with them.

Later on when Y/N is comfortable, they go for swims where Y/N would be on one of their backs. They’d also be shown other sea beasts on the island and see that most are good.

THENNNNN there would be that conflict of during a long swim they see a ship about to attack them and so maybeee Sun and Moon get more aggressive than usual to defend Y/N. Y/N would be like “nooo guys noooooo! dont killll!! just swim awayyyy!!!!” But Sun and Moon would attack the ship(it got away just barely) and Y/N would be left wondering how they could convince people to stop attacking sea beasts.

There would also be a moment way later on probably when Y/N would meet again with their crew but during an attack against Sun and Moon. Y/N would be yelling at them to stop attacking. The crew would try to force Y/N to come back making Sun and Moon become more aggressive to get Y/N back (maybbeee Y/N would get taken and Sun and Moon would be too wounded to follow hmmm)

Another idea would be that Sun and Moon come back very wounded one day and Y/N gets super worried for them and tries to care for them(like pulling out the spears from their body)

@pansear-doodles made a contest some time ago and since its over now i wanted to post my submissions and talk a lil abt them

Artificer

This is a costume of arti as Artemis from Hades. I love goddess Artemis and i thought it fitted arti pretty well, as well as hunter tho i had a different idea for them. I wanted to experiment a bit with maybe just being inspired by the Hades version, with some sort of creature bone/skull mask/helmet, as well as adding a bit more flare. I love Hades god designs, but Artemis was always my least fave ngl. tho i wasn't able to experiment much and stuck around to the Hades version due to time and not having many good ideas.

Enot

Im so glad the Once-ler Enot got through and the other shown costume ideas i love em so much. I love joke characters, but i'm clearly isn't the best at designing them heh. This is gamer Enot with all the cringe gamer merch, dressed up as their computer having an LED gamer keyboard and mouse. Maybe now looking at it i should have added maybe some consol (tho they struck me as a religious pc gamer) or some LOL or other popular game merch to sell the gamer look. Maybe also add some doritos and mountain dew.

I for the longest time could not decide, if i wanted to put gourm as dt asgore or ut asgore. Because it had to be asgore no questions asked, i mean look at the guy! I choose ut cause the way asgore is treated in dt just kill me internally. Also ut asgore family is much more functional. For the pups I wanted them to look like they’ve been face painted. Idk if chara and asriel really work for their personality, but i didnt really have any other idea with them. Also the one as asriel could’ve brought those like galaxy swords and some cool stuff from asriel dreemurr fight.

Also i wanted the drawing to resemble those monarch painted family portraits, so that’s why this style.

I didnt have any good ideas for hunter, until i was scrolling through my reblogs and saw puss in boots the last wish fanart. It worked so well with the hunter's personality i had to!

I thought at first to dress them as their slugs u know a classic really, but too basic for me i knew someone would submit that. I had i lil moment wondering between srs and nsh and leshy and magnificus, but it was quickly resolved by pushing nsh into a bush. and 5p as po3 and lttm as grimora was a no brainer.

Monk and the lizards

Monk was always supposed to be a pokemon trainer. It works so well with them. At first i thought to give them Reds outfit, but then i decided to make them an N, a character from Black and White. His closeness and kindness to his pokemon, tie well with monk and their lizards.

Lizards are painted as spindas. i thought abt giving each individual pokemon, but i also wanted to make it quick and easy for the comics, so spindas! infinite patterns for an infinite amount of friends.

Okay so this reference is like really obscure. It's the main characters from the movie Mune: guardian of the moon. I think i watched it only one time, long ago, i think the plot is really basic, but the lore and the art from it is great. it's one of those: if it was 2d it would’ve been so beautiful.

Anyway i wanted to do a lil swap: survivor is mune and nightcat is glim, cause it worked better personality wise.

Big big thanks to @kociamieta, because i really could decide where i wanted to go with this. I had an idea for a shark hoodie, undyne, a sci fi speedster and perry the platypus. (if it comes up that someone submitted perry the platypus costume and it didnt go through, idk what i will do) So they were like: why not combine the shark hoodie and a sci fi speedster and jaga u are a genius. im not too proud of this one, the colors could be a lil better and the suit needs some work, but it was the last day of the competition and didn't have that much time.

Saint as snufkins, very original (i wanted for the Jessica Rabbit costume to win). i don’t have much to say here other then my 10000 environment brushes as always carry the piece

I wondered for a bit if I should make them some cosmic horror god. Not with body horror, but those gods that will stand in the middle of the forest and just look at u.

Very basic, jack sparrow inspired scav king costume, inspired by the helm comic part.

Spearmaster

My personal proudest one. A simple spray painter, but i put much care into this one. Now looking at it, I should rethink some colors, but i still like it. The spray cans could’ve been swapped out for needles (optional, not a correct). The tail is a paint brush with a swirl that isn't very visible in the colored piece.

Wanderer

Hollow knight gang! I think quirrel works well with wanderer. I mean the name, the character, the mission. They work well, I think.

your art inspires me so much, i adore your use of color and texture and composition. i love love making art, getting drawn into a piece and layering and highlights and shadows and and and. but, i struggle quite deeply with subject matter, i feel, donno, like i don't think about the world in that way? everytime i see your art it evokes this visceral need to create but i just end up staring at a blank page. I admire so much art from afar but when I try I feel so overwhelmed with how to just, make the inspiration i get into art? i struggle with this in writing too, ideas are so few and far between and generally tend to be very vauge, like a smell or a color combination, or a collection of words. i dont know how to devolp it or explore it really. I did art in high school, and a year of architecture, and im struggling so much without having a brief to launch off of. feel free to ignore this if its too personal or familiar, but do you have any suggestions for me?

first of all, thank you so much!! and you sound like someone who has a deep interest in the process itself, which is super adrimable! i run into a lot of people who are more concerned with the output than the process and so they lack experimentation, so being process focused can lead to a lot of great possiblity!

As for ideas, it sounds silly when the idea is to generate insporation organically, but drawing from life and photos more was one of the steps to me being able to generate organically. i was for years, one of those ppl who draw a detailed character standing hands by side on a blank background. Learning more about how the figure moves from studying it was the 1# way to be able to organically draw poses the way i do. It’s hard to be like ‘use references!’ when finding refs is a whole other thing but sites like line of action have helped a lot bc i dont even have much choice in the ref lol!! My subject matter is based a lot on personal experience, i’m someone who has struggled with personal connection my whole life, i’m both autistic and have a case of social anxiety so severe i ended up permentantly stunting my development as a child bc i refused to interact with kids my age (oops) so a lot of my work about personal connection between trans and disabled people comes from a desire for close relationships with people who possess the same traits that made me feel undesirable for so long. I can’t also, tell you to generate a list of things about you and put those into your work because not everyone’s work is that personal and it’s not really something that can be forced, everytime a teacher told me to play into my other traumas i ended up hating the peice. i will say though, having a philosophy towards your work can do a lot. Journaling and writing down ideas, problems and aspirations as well as your attitude behind your work can sometimes help roadblocks. I also reccomend building up the process of making thumbnails and doodles and trying to generate ideas in very rough concept sketches rather than expecting to immediatly know what to do with a blank page. It adds more time and can also be frustrating, but it helps break down the blank page anxiety if you have a scrap sheet to try things out on before you go onto your final paper. another thing that helped my process is just always having a sketchbook and pencil on me. I don’t have to use it, but having my supplies with me often helps me be able to do quick sketches when im at coffee shops, doctors waiting rooms.. etc. It helps me be able to get any momentary inspiration down to work with later. the reality with rough Sketches is they do not need to be readable by anyone but yourself. it’s not just that they don’t have to look good, they could be three lines and a few notes if that’s what you need to be able to translate the vision to your head. A lot of my peices come from just wanting to draw certain perspectives or settings, and my sketches can be quite literally a grid sometimes. Again, this probably seems quite overwhelming. if your problem is generating ideas its tough to here ‘just draw!’ but it does help to build up a habit of sketching (even just circles and lines) and notetaking because it can help get the ideas flowing.

- i like animals especially red pandas and i also like bugs too. i also sometimes like to read both manga and actual books, i like any theme but when it comes to manga i either like shonen or stories like goodnight punpun/ a girl on the shore

im very enthusiastic towards music, i listen to any genre. i can go from heavy mental and rock, to goth, to something like lana del ray where i feel like i need to be in the rain with red wine, to calm/ smthin indie, sole crushing, and then scene. theres a whole lot more i could add. lemme also add in midwest emo.

- i cant exactly pinpoint what i dislike aside from the wind because it messes up with my hair, i swear if the wind was a solid id have it knocked down immediately. though I also tend to get annoyed by people that don't use common sense.

- my hobies incule art, i have a lot of sketchbooks and majority of my lessons are done by doodling and getting told off by my the teacher cause i dont pay attention, but i still carry on. i also like to make jewelry such as bracelets/neclases, their mainly beaded but their still cute to wear and i like to make bracelets for close people

- (just for extra info here →) im mentaly unstable and have severe attached issues as well as issues with family on every aspect. id like to get better, however i just end up going down a loop hole so i cant/dont which makes everything much harder than it needs to be.

- my energy gets drained QUICK so im mostly a listener rather than a speaker when it comes to social interactions, however i do have my days where i can be jumpy and almost euthoric and talk like my life depends on it with a lot of excitement

- also i can get sudden motivation that i end up reorganising my room, one day it'd look that then after 4 months itd look like this. i tend to do spontanious little things here and there when im in a good mood and that includes in dying/cutting my hair. also ive pierced myself 6x with thumb tacks and their all healed very nicely. i have 9 ear piercings in total.

- never was much of an academic person in school, but i tend to be smart outside of it and i find enjoyment in observing people and using my own thoughts rather than finding sources

- i wont call myself shy, maybe at first sure but as i get comfortable i can go all out and i dont mind in making the first move as long as i get the same energy back, otherwise if that energy isn't given then ill forget all about them.

- i can be extremely clingy when i want to be, i hold back in latching onto someone on a daily basis. i wanna hold someone's hand, be on their back like a bag, and just overall connect soles. im touch starved and overall I can be very affectionate physically, though I'm awful at using my words for affection.

anyways hi guys!! yeah hi, quick disclaimer out of the way that none of these designs are striving to be like... realistic in anyways, more so im just turning them into feral cat designs because its funny! 

anyways with that out of the way! woo lets go!

So!! heres the three together, which also helps give their heights! despite being turned into cats i decided to give some of them some traits they had prior, like shadows general quill shapes on the fur,  as well as the same basics for the chest fur!  meanwhile rouge kept her ears looking similar to a bat, and omega was.... really hard to keep much. but i tried to give them very large claws to keep his typical hands in reference (as well as trying to make the head shake vaguely like omegas)  ill also go a little bit in detail on the design process here because i tried to fit multiple things in mind here, as well as little ideas that came with the designs!! (in a simplified form, of course) first up!

Rouge!!  -tried to keep her ears pretty big, to keep that bat look -ALSO made the shape (vaguely) of a bat nose above her cat nose in the form of a marking! keeping the bat stuff there but also pretty vague so it dosent tear away from looking like a cat too much -The darker markings were to very vaguely look like her usual outfit. -also side fur!! still vaguely looking like her base design with her hair as well

Shadow!! -made his fur vaguely resemble their quill designs, as well as the general red/orange markings while edited a bit here. -vague shadow the hedgehog symbol for a scar on their hind leg! -chest fur kept that his base design ALSO has! -the red stripes on his base designs arms and legs are also translated here -vague torti/calico designs going on here with the back markings?? i do not think i ended up translating that much well but its there!

omega!! -tried to keep the basic shape of some of omegas base design, large wrists/hands and so on so fourth!!  -scar on shoulder also is supposed to be vaguely like omegas symbol on the base design. -purposefully tried to keep the colors close to shadows, to mimic slightly how base shadow and omega have matching color schemes -since this version likely dosent. have guns or anything, completely lacking the robot traits, theyre just super bulky to show they are still very much powerful, its omega afterall -MARKING ON TOP OF HEAD!!! was supposed to mimic how omegas face is like in the base design, with the darker almost black markings supposed to mimic the face, with the eyes being red.  -basically tried to reverse shadows colors with omega, instead of black being the base, its the red/orange as the base.  all in all, im not the biggest fan of how omega turned out, but i HONESTLY dont know where else i could go with them, so ill settle with what i got.

👁️ what colour are their eyes? do people notice their eyes? is there anything special about them (shows emotion easily, literally magical…)?

nobody: he's got serene purple eyes. like a lot of clowns, his whole eye will light up purple when he uses his voodoos

ako: his eyes usually just look black, but if you get in close, you can see the little a little ring of color around them. they actually have a little bit of a gradient to them. very very pretty

nobody: he's not a great liar, but only because he doesn't try too hard to hide it when he's lying. the best way to tell if he's lying or not is just the tone of his voice, since it'll usually have a bit of a sarcastic edge haha

ako: he's a fantastic liar with very very few tells. you'd have to know him really well to know when he's lying

👻 do they believe in ghosts? what are their "ghostly experiences", if any?

nobody: he absolutely believes in ghosts. he's been in enough graveyards to see a spirit or two

ako: he hasn't seen a ghost himself, so he's on the fence about it. he wouldnt be surprised if ghosts were real, but until he sees one himself, he's going to remain skeptical

💥 what emotions do they have trouble dealing with?

nobody: he's got trouble dealing with love. he's a VERY introverted troll, so it's hard for him to know what to do when he actually does care about someone. he both wants to be around them, and also doesn't want to be around them, which is confusing and frustrating

ako: ako has trouble dealing with shame or embarrassment. he tends to guard details about his personal life, half because he shouldn't reveal too much about himself due to his job, and half because he absolutely cannot deal with the embarrassment of being known and understood.

😭 what makes them cry? do they cry easily?

nobody: i dont think nobody has cried in actual literal sweeps. he's just not a very sad man. i cant think of anything that would make him cry tbh, except maybe if his lusus died

ako: he pretends as though nothing gets to him, but ako can be a little bit of a bleeding heart when it comes to the strays he takes care of. and unfortunately, some of them are old, so when they pass, he's a bit of a wreck

👊 are they quick to violence?

nobody: not really. he's not opposed to fighting, but he won't exert effort when he doesn't have to

ako: somewhat. he doesn't start unnecessary fights (barring work-related scuffles), but he'll certainly finish them

💢 what are some habits they have that will take some getting used to?

nobody: he's very very introverted, and will simply not want to be around people all the time, even if he likes them. he will kick you out as soon as he stops feeling sociable, no ifs, ands, or buts

ako: ako might be a good talker, but he can be very dismissive, cold, and aloof towards people if he isn't interested in what they have to say. he's just. not very nice or pleasant. but it's just a side effect of him being guarded and introverted, and once you become somewhat important to him, he might ease up on his unapproachability

👪 what is their family like? what is your ocs relationship to them? does your oc have any siblings?

nobody: no real family to speak on. he wasnt very familiar with his ancestor, and he has no clue if he had any descendants out there. he's very disinterested in stuff like that

ako: ako is the secret bastard child of two very famous trolls, and he's done well to stay FAR away from either family. he could only see them making his life more complicated. he prefers a life of no strings

😨 when scared, do they go into "flight" or "fight"?

nobody: flight

💤 do they fall asleep easily? what helps them sleep?

nobody: he falls asleep very easily. even at his age, he'll occasionally still fall asleep beside his vulture lusus. he falls asleep almost immediately if it starts preening him lmao

ako: he doesnt sleep easily, and when he does finally get to sleep, it's never for very long. the only thing that can make him sleep through the night without issue is sleeping pills, but he tries his best to only take them on rare occasions, when he REALLY needs them
