- MC just invited them to a dinner party. They didnt suspect anything, maybe MC just like the basementcore aesthetic they've said. Until they realized, the door wont open and MC is nowhere to be found..

- its time for a group huddle with Mallows (the cat in a bee costume) as their advisor. Mallows keeps going down in the basement, maybe bc Fone is there? Idk but yea, im just going to make him my warden. Mallows will be MC's eyes.. But something happen:

- well, Mallows the Cat in a Bee Costume, is a strict warden. He keeps hissing and ends up fighting with Nova and Fone (the betrayal). Everytime they do group huddle, Mallows are doing jiu jitsu on them 😂 The reason: Mallows just woke up and choose violence that day.

-and theres Friend, the type of roommate who loves to clean, like the first thing he do is judge my kitchen counter and brushed it aggresively, like hey its not even dirty!? Friend doesnt care that he has been trapped in a basement. The most important thing is to make this place clean. The entire time, besides Mallows Wrestlemania segment, Rens infamous Mac & Cheese and the group meeting, he goes back cleaning and washing the dishes.

- and here is Ezra questioning how MC pulled a reverse uno card on him and yep! thats the face of pure regrets of eating Ren's Mac & Cheese. (I missed to take a screenshot of that moment when Ren is cooking Mac and Cheese, Fone and Nova keeps teaching him how to cook, Ren dropping the salt shaker in the pan and Ezra being the first one to eat it)

- Nova and Harper fighting for this one bed, even tho there are 7 beds. They keep doing a staring contest, whoever blink, will lose this bed (like its always this bed, sometimes if Harper is the one who sleep on this one, Nova would sleep on the floor instead of choosing another bed 😭 Nova, i have this urge to put a vent on the basement just to spite you.. Stop sleeping on the flooooor!

- Ren and Krow napping peacefully on their first day as long as Ren promised to never cook again. And yes, finally they used their own bed! They discovered that the bed I put in there is for sleeping not for just aesthetic n shit, praise the lo-

these boys show their love verbally. they let you know they love you with little unexpected notes or texts. they're usually good listeners who would always have something to say, and that something to say feels so right in that moment and usually makes sense 100% of the time.

sugawara koushi. we all know he has a way with his words. let's not forget that he is 'mr. refreshing' because of how good he is at communicating with his teammates. also the "negativity begone!" moment? asahi? when he made hinata realize stuff about kageyama when he was teaching him how to receive? yeah seems just about right to me.

probably hinata shoyou. but it's so adorable though because he's gonna be sooo shy about it! i mean the way he encouraged a lot of his peers–he has his awkward moments and blushy blushy times but this boy always knows what to say even if it seems stupidly simple–but that's how he is and that's why he's so lovable.

okay so dimensions r a thing tumblr compresses photos like hella so i do all my still img aesthetics 900x900 is you’re trying to do this for say insta i would actually recommend jumping up to 1080x1080. pixels, obviously. idk if i have to clarify that.

so click ctrl+n or create new i’ll be doing 900x900

these r the rest of my settings i personally do not think they matter my resolution stays at 72 the only thing i’ve detected this affecting is font size. (side note notice how this pic looks all fuzzy? that’s bc it’s a ss with a boatload of pixels. and if there’s one thing tumblr hates. it’s pixels. and then it’s users. but who’s counting? tumblr is. i recommend keeping ur still images 900x900♥)

step two is collecting ur images i personally use pinterest for these bc quite frankly it’s really nice & easy to find these types of photos esp if you’re looking for a canon character bc if you type in [character name] aesthetic you’ll get stuff if you don’t quite frankly even just type in aesthetic you can scroll until you find an image you like click on that and go through like images underneath it and keep burning thru. like u probably know how to work pinterest. but i am being thorough and covering my bases. searching [color] aesthetic is also nice or even searching a character that isn’t the character you’re doing this for but who’s kind of similar that also works. i recommend esp for charmed bc their pinterest gets bogged down with screencaps and then like. charms like jewelry searching “charmed aesthetic” or “phoebe halliwell aesthetic” really just doesn’t cut it so what i’d recommend is instead of going through pins, go through boards.

bc like. big difference. other pro tips if you see a board you like, go to the person’s profile and check out their other boards bc odds are you’ll find more you like. another protip if you’re specifically doing ocs typing in oc aesthetic will get you a lot even going to the boards on that as well. yields.

so. you’ve gathered ur images. u need five. open em. i’m making an aesthetic 4 myself which you’ve probably already guessed from the fact i’m putting the finished piece at the top, but it’s not ready yet so it’s still a surprise for me. 

cropping. if ur doing a 900x900, use these setting exactly. 1080x1080 use 1080/2 x 1080/3. i’m not doing the math 4 u ♥

most important part? Delete Cropped Pixels. otherwise ur not really doing anything. crop all five images.

but them in ur document. document? psd? ur thing ♥ place them places. u do not have to commit now. leave one middle one blank. it does not matter which one. i personally like to alternate my text pieces if i’m doing a long post like what i did on my ncwotng set. some people keep them all on the same side. this lowkey bugs me i feel like it throws off the Balance but i imagine some people like The Consistency. i don’t. but w/e. it’s up to u as this is gonna be ur set. also like. as you’ve cropped these to x/2,x/3 settings they should fit nice like puzzle pieces : )

the next step i personally like doing is creating by text box with The Color™ do this bc simply duplicating one of ur images, shoving it in the empty slot, and converting into a sharp object. edit contents.

now. obvi i selected these images w a color scheme in mid. i recommend u do the same. even if it’s just vague. they don’t all have 2 fit. this is my example of my sheridan piece b4 or after. tweaking is possible. layers w masks r ur friend. i can talk about them more if need be.

But. back 2 the smart object. brush tool. paint it.

the text i used was times new roman all caps 40pt font 0 spacing for the title and times new roman 14pt font 0 spacing italics for the subheading. here’s my dency b4 and after for comparison

next step is after you have your text in alright, shove everything into groups. mode on “normal”

then you can start editing. the groups let you edit things like lighting and color without touching any of the layers below it 👍

i’m not gonna do a Major coloring tutorial, for lighting i’ll usually tinker with exposure, levels, sometimes brightness/contrast. for colors, color balance + hue/saturation. i rarely touch anything else.

i’ll bring u along 4 the coloring of this one bc i’m gonna add a layer mask.

so the first thing i’m going to do bc the paper itself is already close to the vibe is i’m going to color it normal and just ignore the background

something like that. then i’m going to add a layer mask (square button w the plus sign)

and then i’m going to eye dropper a color off from somewhere else

now i was talking about the “normal” blend mode stops ur color settings from bleeding over onto other images? does not apply to painting on layers but you’re already masking this bad boy, so it doesn’t matter. just don’t say i didn’t warn u

i’d recommend using a really ridiculous blend mode to clean up ur thing at first, i’m using darken which isn’t that wild but like whatevs.

FIRST OF ALL... I wanna talk about the differences in drip here. As always, a big factor in the pg/kawhi relationship. ... we need to talk about Kawhi's floral granny shorts... wtf is that bruh KWBDKS looking like a dusty guest room mattress that got bed bugs probably. In general u can say his drip is very convenient. He just throws on whatever he can swim in. King. He doesn't really care for sunglasses, he just wants to get going on the trip. But PAUL?? Maybe a skittering crab visits them? Kawhi randomly just starts telling unknown facts about it, like it's scientific name. Pg just refers to it simply as Mr. Krabbs tho. They probably try feeding the crab, which attracts seagulls that attack the crab and make them sad LMAO

While they DO spend time lounging and staring at the waves thinking about how far they've come and how strange yet nice it is to share this spectacular view with someone they love, they're both open to fun beach activities. Maybe they try jetskiing and pg has a competition with kawhi to see who can stay upright the longest? Who can build the biggest sandcastle? Who can get the most skips with a rock? That one was more difficult because sometimes Kawhi found rocks that he felt too bad to skip away tho so finding suitable ammo was scarce.

BUT ABOUT THE FOUND FAMILY (Vin diesel voice)... I think Pg and Kawhi are definitely the kind of parents who let their kids take home like. A bucket of seashells. As long as there's no little creatures in there, they can take em. Kawhi probably helps TMann find the prettiest and coolest of shells to collect, and Pg hypes TMann up about how they could be useful fashion accessories if you save em right! Kawhi is definitely the kinda dad who's the designated carrier, so he carries the bucket and the picnic basket and the umbrella all in one hand for his family LMAO. He scoops his hand into the sand Bank for cool sand pebbles and creates a tide pool AKDNKW. Pg probably picks up a starfish and is like 'oh this is cute!' And then it tries doing that creepy starfish sucking disintegrating thing so he throws it back into the beach/ocean/salt water whatever BRUH idk.

Tmann probably isn't a big open water swimming, and especially hates the icky feeling of wet sand mush between his toes, so kawhi and pg probably have to coax him into the water a lot. Usually he gets on a floatie and they push him off to sea and everything is cool until a curious fish tries nibbling on his toes. Then he thinks he's getting attacked by JAWS and races to the shore.

Pg and tmann probably take a ton of fashionable instagram Beach pics in their extra clothes and whatever and then you just see kawhi crouched over in the background wearing some plain grandma boxers poking some seaweed with a stick LMAO. Local beach cryptid..

They're definitely the kinda parents who have like... a whistle that they blow whenever they think their kid is swimming out too far JANJDAJ. Kawhi will spot some big waves coming and he'll usher his family back onto the sand, safe and away. One time pg stayed back because he thought he could tough the waves out and then he got hit by one and like. Exploded or smthin idk LMAO the end result is just that he got sand in his trunks and that made him grumpy for the rest of the trip until they saw some dolphins

I think kawhi is kinda just. A natural creature magnet. He's just so quiet and stoic that animals are drawn to him. He'll be standing in the water and all a sudden a bunch of stingrays are swimming around him. Or suddenly he'll just take off his water shoe and they'll be a tiny octopus hiding in it. Very good for pg and tmann's instagram pics LMAO

Tmann probably feels bad for the scavenger seagulls so he feeds One (1) and they all get mobbed by squawking feathers of fury. Tmann probably cries because GETTING FLOCKED BY BIRDS IS SCARY!!! Pg probably tries reenacting that one scene in this really bad The BIRDS movie where like... the main character tries karate kicking this really bad cgi bird LMAO. Either way they end up losing half their foods to the birds and half to run into the closest building to hide from them

When they swim at the beach uhhhh pg probably jokes about like.. 'uh oh! I think I swallowed a jellyfish! Guess you'll have to pee in my mouth lol' then looks at kawhi expectantl-

Oh god my weakest skill- describing the physical appearance of things 😂

Well a 3DS, is essentially a DS but with a 3D function that makes everyone who uses it want to throw up.

And a DS is still Nintendo like the switch but it isn’t really like a switch. A Switch is essentially a fancyass tablet with essentially two mini Wii controllers attached to the side. A DS ((and 3DS)) is more or less the same size as a switch ((when the switch is lengthwise that is)) but is made up of two segments that allow the DS to kinda fold inwards. On the top segment it’s just the main screen where the gameplay happens, and on the bottom segment is a smaller screen you can interact with along with a mini joystick, D-pad and the typically four buttons ((labelled Y, X, B, A)). And then on the back there’s a little slot for you to put the game card in

And honestly, I can relate to the wet food thing sooooo much!! But I have a ((very costing in water bills)) solution:

1. Spend an unnecessary time taking everything out of the sink ((unless your able to convince your parents to leave stuff on the goddamn side cause that’s what it’s made for-))

2. Turn the cold water tap to power blaster setting

3. Carefully rinse everything off the dishes, and if something gross is stuck onto it then get a knife or fork and start stabbing away at it

4. Once you’ve done all that, just rinse the sink out and fill it up with warm water and do washing up as normal

5. Leave the kitchen a stupid amount of time later—

My only two issues now are dried up gravy and finding the odd occasional slug in the kitchen - not sure if that’s a problem where you are, but for some reason the British haven’t figured out how to build a house that doesn’t allow slugs to break in-

As for the main role thingy, it isn’t like I’m being given the number one main role thingy. Our teacher just isolates the most important roles, and makes them exclusive to the GCSE class - and there’s no out unless I wanna fail and get a bad grade. I should also clarify that this big musical thing, despite contributing to our grades, is kinda an extra curriculum thingy. Like our school does yearly musicals that all students of all years can voluntarily do, but if you choose performing arts as a GSCE you have to do it and you have to be part of whatever’s isolated as the ‘main cast’

But that thing about there being an unspoken rule to never be proud of yourself is kinda sad. Also nowhere near as meaningful now, but your middle school just does sound like a middle step in our school system - like here your in primary school from reception to year 6 ((from four years old to eleven years old)) and then high school from year 7 to year 11 ((from eleven to sixteen)). Then after that whatever you do varies time wise on what you do - which doesn’t make the most sense does it?

we don't get slugs but we get other bugs in the summers because it gets too hot that they all want to come inside and there's like no way to stop them we have tried everything lmao and i have a huge fear of bugs idc if they won't hurt me i hate them lol two ish years ago vegas got a grasshopper infestation and it was literally a nightmare i didn't go outside unless i absolutely had to i don't even know how to explain just how many grasshoppers there were. we got around 46 million grasshoppers just in vegas alone (i have no clue how they even measured that but that's apparently how many lol) and it was actually a nightmare like they all literally migrated over here at once within only a couple days

but oooohh okay yeah that makes more sense now lol well good luck!!! hopefully it won't be as bad as you're anticipating lol sometimes even if you absolutely hate it you honestly just have to try and have fun with it. that's what i've learned lol in classes that i hate it makes it sooo much more miserable when you're like sulking in how much you hate it, instead just try and laugh a bit and have fun

Forgive my absolute novice question, but those environment studies are BEAUTIFUL! I've never done them but I want to try, since it's good practice. What's your process, do you have any advice?

Thank you! No reason to apologize either. I can give a glimpse into my process, but fair warning it’s quite messy (I did this one quickly after work as an example) and I might not have the besssst explanations for everything. 

Everything under the cut!

I do these off of photos I find on google images, since i’m not using them for profit or anything like that. I kind of decide what i wanna try and study (tropical scenes, forests, mountains, whatever) and then just look for an image that strikes me. 

Something to note when you’re going into this is to have some idea of what you want to try and focus on. If there’s a specific thing you want to work on or capture when you do this. For me, it was trying to get better at seeing and picking colors, plus maybe fiddling w/ how mountains and rocks work haha

Having a specific goal makes doing studies easier because you don’t feel like you have to focus on basically everything when you’re painting. When the end goal is just ‘get better,’ that’s a lot of stuff you have to try and get right or pay attention to! Doing things one at a time is good.

So anything like...Wanting to understand color, wanting to understand shadows, wanting to understand light, wanting to know how trees work, or even something like ‘i saw this photo and i like how the light hits this one particular spot and i wanna capture how that spot feels’--just give yourself something to focus on!

Anyhoo, I picked this one. wanted to try a desert scene. My focus, again, is trying to understand color a lil better (kinda gave myself a rule, which was ‘no colorpicking’)

I work on a really tiny canvas btw like... 3 inches by 2 inches, and with a kinda fat chalk brush with pressure opacity on. This makes sure i can’t get fiddly on it. 

Usually start with a really basic composition sketch that is definitely gonna be inaccurate, but that’s okay since that’s not what i’m doing this for lol

a lil more ‘detail’ pulling out the forms of biggest interest. sometimes this includes the a shape of a large shadow, like at the bottom! just the big important sections of the composition that you see. 

I start laying in the colors really messily, again going for BIG at first. Right now the focus is establishing those big spaces in the composition. Right now this also includes some of the stronger shadows, since those are important to the form of things. The colors I choose to lay down vary, but usually go for the sort of ‘mid tone’ that i can suss out, maybe a a bright hilight, and then a deep shadow. 

lol okay this is definitely a jump forward. But you can see i focused on the mountains. I ended up painting over that tree because it wasn’t in the right place anyway.

Anyway, TIPS on how I approached this: 

TRY NOT TO GIVE A SHIT OVER WHETHER SOMETHING IS SUPER ACCURATE. Just make sure that it reads!

Focused first on laying in the darkest shadows, bc those really inform a lot about the shape of the thing. 

A lot of squinting and stepping back, and also making the reference picture zoomed out small. This really makes the small detail disappear and helps keep you from getting caught up and confused by it. Sometimes you can eliminate certain details, or combine them with nearby details. 

I added some new colors here and there, but nothing too strong. I avoided introducing too many different colors though, and most of what i had was a result of mixing the colors I already. If you add a very different color, that creates an area of high contrast. Which can be great, if that’s the focus and you want to hilight the area, tho! 

Tried not to draw outlines. In fact, I made sure most of my strokes were downwards or sideways to make sure that I had to focus on things as blocks of color. 

How do you do manage the shape w/out outlines? One thing to remember! You perceive form through contrast! Basically, in an area, how does the shadow butt up against the light? Look for those edges/places where they meet, and then think about how different those areas look to each other. Are the colors really different from each other? Are they similar? Is the edge hard, or is it more gradual? Look for those places where things meet!

Keeping in mind that color is relative. When you’re trying to figure out what color something is, peer at the color itself and try to isolate it. For instance a color may seem grey to you, but maybe it’s blue, and it looks much more desaturated bc you have it up against a really warm, bright color. Maybe what you think is a green is actually a red or a brown. SOME TIPS: 

If you’re not focused on color as your study, feel free to colorpick off the photo! You’ll see the difference between what you perceived and what the true color was, and you’ll learn from that!

I’ve gotten good enough to be able to peer at colors and separate them in my brain from the rest of the picture. If you can’t do that, then you can mask it out physically in photoshop so that it’s literally isolated! You’ll get way better at picking up on color differences this way, and then can work towards doing it without having to physically mask things. 

Questions to ask yourself when trying to figure out a color: Does it feel warmer or cooler? What hue is it (does it look purple or purple or red to you)? How saturated does it look?

Shadows usually gradiate. Shadows are made bc they block out light. So they’re darker when it’s harder for light to get into a space. So the further away from an edge or a crease, the lighter the shadow becomes.

Be wary about your colors getting too muddy, bc that happens when you’re mixing colors. Step back now and again, and if they look like they’re getting too grey or brown, feel free to paint some saturated color back into it.

Anyway, I added the trees (spent less time on them bc they’re unimportant to me lol) and cleaned up a couple other things...

And the last step is just creating a clean border around the painting to make it look clean!

is to close the fucking Reference you were working off of and not look at it after that, because you’re gonna like what you did way better as its own thing when you’re not comparing it to the real deal lol

Arson Gone Wrong

Day five (cbf writing the whole thing, ya’ll know the drill)

This is a Wild and Hyrule platonic angst.

“Oi, Hy!” Wild yelled out, running into camp carrying various fire-based weapons in his arms.

They were currently in Wild’s Hyrule.

Y’know, free-real-estate-arson-edition.

“I’m not even gonna ask.” Time said from where he sat across the camp with Twilight and Sky. Hyrule chuckled. The old man is really done with our bullshit.

“What are those?” Hyrule asked, looking at Wild. (theyre my sandals) Wild grinned happily and dropped all the weapons on the ground. “Okay so we have meteor rods, flame blades, great flame blades, fire rods, flame spears, fire arrows, and, most importantly, bomb arrows.” Wild said, gesturing to each object.

“Arson?” Hyrule asked with a smirk. “What else?” Wild replied sarcastically before taking off his shirt. “Let’s go!” He grabbed a bow, shield, and some of the weapons before running away.

Hyrule swears he’s gonna get himself killed.

They were in the Akkala region so if they went to far west, they’d burn.

Somehow they ended up north of skull lake pretty quickly. They had started at Tumlea heights.

“Hy, look! This is skull lake. If you fall down here, it’s damn near impossible to climb back up.” Wild said, looking over the edge to see the lake. He turned to his left to see Hyrule looking over as well.

(it kept deleting here so the rest was new for me to write)

“How deep is the water?” He asked. “Deep.” Wild said before standing up. He took out a shield and turned around.

“Watch this.”

He backflipped off the ledge and fell.

But he left the paraglider at camp.

Hyrule heard a sickening thud as the boy hit a rocky out-crop. The rocks there were stained red.

“Shit! Wild! Fuck dammit!” Nobody ever heard Hyrule swear before but he just watched his best. Friend. Get badly hurt.

He watched as Wild rolled along the rocks before falling with a splash in the water. Hyrule watched as Wild sunk slowly.

Almost painfully slow.

Hyrule knew he couldn’t jump past the rocks so he grabbed two swords.

Wild taught him a trick; you try to throw a weapon as you fall but just before you hit the ground, swap weapons and it will cancel out the pain.

Hyrule heaved a deep breath...

And jumped.

He quickly switched weapons before he hit the rocks.

It worked!

He then jumped into the water.

He wasn’t the best swimmer. But he could manage well enough to get a hold of Wild and the slate.

“Goddesses I hate doing this.” Hyrule thought as he selected the Akkala ancient tech lab. It was the closest he’d get to the group.

He felt a familiar sick feeling in his stomach as the two boys teleported.

They were at the tech lab.

Hyrule felt for Wild’s breathing and heart.

He was taking soft, shallow breaths and a faint heart beat.

Hyrule pulled out a bow, an arrow, and some paper before quickly writing on it.

Wild. Hurt. Ancient tech lab. Quick.

He put the note on an arrow and ran to the edge of the cliff facing Tumlea heights.

He knocked the arrow, aiming for a tree next to Twilight.

And released it.

Once he saw the arrow hit its mark, he ran back to Wild and picked him up.

“C’mon buddy, you gotta hold on for me. My magic doesn’t work here so I can’t help you.” He said as he carried Wild bridal style down the hill, walking to camp.

He continuously checked up on Wild.

Heart beat. Breathing. Heart beat. Breathing. Heart beat. Breath... ing? Silence.

“Shit, fuck. Wild no. No you can’t do this to me!” Hyrule screamed.

He dropped to his knees, hugging Wild close.

“Please Wild. Please don’t leave me.” He sobbed into Wild’s shirt.

Well, it was actually Hyrule’s but he put it on Wild after they got to the lab.

“I can’t lose you...” He looked at his best friend, brushing the blonde hair out of his face.

“HYRULE!” He looked up to see Twilight and Legend.

He ignored them.

Wild can’t be dead.

He just can’t.

He listened for breathing again.

Nothing.

Heart beat?

Nothing.

He felt his own heart shatter.

“Wild.” He sobbed.

Twilight placed a hand on his shoulder and Hyrule pulled away.

“It’s my fault Twi.” He cried. “I shouldn’t’ve let him leave without his glider- actually no. I shouldn’t’ve agreed to go. He would’ve stayed Twi.” Hyrule’s face was now stained with tears as they continued.

Twilight gripped the traveller in a hug. “It’s not your fault.” He said.

Hyrule heard the familiar sound of a fairy and looked up only to see it shake its head and leave.

“Hyrule I’m sorry.” Legend said. He didn’t join the hug, just stood to the side awkwardly.

Hyrule shrugged out of Twilight’s grip.

“It’s not your fault.” He said to the veteran. “If only my magic worked, I could’ve healed him.” Hyrule looked at his hands. He felt so...

Useless.

“Go back to camp.” He said, not looking at the other two. Without a word, they left.

Then Hyrule broke down.

“Wild. I’m sorry. Goddesses I wish I could say it to your face.” He said, still looking at Wild’s body.

“Why did I have to lose you?” He asked, clutching Wild’s hand.

I dont have the strength to write a burial so timeskip

It had been only a few days since Wild died and Hyrule wasn’t well...

Hyrule.

He’d usually crack jokes with the boys, laugh about embarrassing stuff at dinner, jump to the opportunity to commit arson.

But now...

He sat in bed all day, holding the Shiekah Slate to his chest. He barely reacted anymore and just seemed lifeless.

They eventually had to keep travelling but even then, Hyrule wasn’t the same.

Nobody was.

But Hyrule was affected the most.

He scrolled through the slate’s camera roll, looking at photos of Wild doing... Wild things.

He found a video and decided to open it.

“Hey, I assume Hy is watching this. If you are, I’m probably dead.” Wild chuckled. “Lemme guess, arson gone wrong?”

Hyrule laughed softly, tears forming in his eyes.

It felt so good to hear Wild’s voice again.

“Hyrule I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to die. You were my best friend. I don’t know what I’d do without you so I don’t expect you to know either.” Wild spoke. “Don’t blame yourself. I’ve blamed myself for deaths, it doesn’t feel good. P-promise me Hy.”

Wild got choked up.

He breathed deeply.

“Promise, you’ll be happy without me. Please. I miss you.”

Hyrule broke down in tears.

He missed Wild too.

my family has been going through a lot of stress in these past 2 years and i feel like im in the only reason this family hasnt lost their minds yet. my dad takes out his stress by screaming at my mom, my mom takes out her stress by screaming at my (younger) brother and me, my brother is NUMB to all disappointment and im genuinely scared because my brother acts psycho and like actually full-on sobs and screams if he isnt allowed to watch vids or play video games all day or the wifi connection is weak or gets cutoff for a moment and thrashes things around but hes 10 and nobody is listening to my pleas of reducing his screen time because they cant deal with his tantrums when they try to. i feel like im losing my brother and then theres my parents who are on the verge of exploding all the time and im always on edge so im never seen scrolling on my phone or watching something kpop related because my parents are fking racist. Im always around the house doing things like getting my moms phone from the kitchen or getting my dad some water as soon as they ask me irrespective of what im doing and like if i hear my parents arguing about who is less tired to turn off the light while im the one actually sleeping i have to get up and turn off the light so my dad doesnt accidentally say something hurtful to my mom and my mom doesnt forget to make breakfast the next morning.

and like recently its been worse cuz my grandfather passed away 2-3 months ago idek it feels like forever so were staying at my grandmothers place that isnt even in the same city and i can feel my mental health deteriorating because i used to live here as a kid and i have a lot of bad memories i want to forget but here i am reliving them. anyways its 4 of us plus my grandmother so that makes 5 people sharing 2 tiny bedrooms a hall and a kitchen but the house feels like its divided into two because my dad and my grandmother dont talk to each other so they just stay on their own side and i share a bedroom with my grandmother and my brother. my brother sleeps in the middle but the bed is actually 2 twin cots with rock-hard matresses from the 1980’s awkwardly put together so the middle is uneven and uncomfortable but my parents wont let him sleep with them because he never lets anyone around him sleep peacefully (explains my eyebags) and he refuses to switch with me so now im also genuinely worried about his back. he also sometimes randomly screams at my grandmother and i glare at him and ask him to stop because its disrespectful but my grandmother screams at me instead because she is partial to him to the point where if she had to push me off a cliff to save him she’d do it in the blink of an eye and im not even exaggerating because this is a fact that everyone who knows her is aware of. shes rich and my family already knows shes going to write off her entire inheritance to my brother and idrc about the money but it hurts. like this one time my mum was talking about how she was going to preserve the land my grandmother owns so my brother can build a farm house there in the future like OKAY i get it we live in an indian society where youre just supposed to marry off the girl and give her 0 inheritance but that shit hurts lady. most of the time i even have to give up my portion of the food when my brother is suddenly in his psychotic mood where he wants other peoples stuff- my grandmother is my brother’s bodyguard, personal attendant and lawyer who’s current job is to either train me to be her successor or if I disagree then turn against me.

i cant blame anyone for the stress part tho. we werent as affected by my grandfathers death as we were by its after affect- he has a business and now my dad has to take care of that and 2 other businesses while also opening a new one and it doesnt help that all 4 require full-time attention. and in hopes of being helpful and fucking fixing this family, i promised to help with the advertising and the managing of the social media accounts of the new business. not even kidding ive been spending the last one month skipping classes saying they were either cancelled or unnecessary to work on photo and video edits for the store and promoting it. idk the last time i touched my textbooks and my parents dont know because im hiding the report cards. my limbs hurt from constantly using the stairs of the 4-floored store.

about half an hour ago my mum told me to refill all the water bottles while i was brushing my teeth and my dad loudly replied with a “Why does everyone give her all the work” out of spite for my mom. everytime he says that it makes me so mad i want to punch the wall because no matter how genuine he is, it sounds sarcastic to me because he makes no effort to help me. and it did NOT help when i lost the soft thing on my earphone 5 minutes later, making me feel like crying because my earphones are the ONLY thing keeping me sane here. the only escape from this. the only excuse i can give my mother when she asks why i didnt hear her call me in such a small house.

i just want to go home. i want my own room back. i want a pair of earphones plugged into my laptop, and i want to drown myself in Kris Wu music. i want to spread my limbs on my queen sized bed and pretend like i have all the time in the world to be bored.

i dont get why we have to go through this when were actually rich. im usually humble about it in rl but atp idec because i really dont get why we have to go through this when we can even afford a house in beverly hills or something. actually, maybe its because my parents dont have enough time or patience left to fix the bed or get a bigger house.

and then i open instagram to see people my age hanging out with their friends, having the time of their lives while im just rotting away here. the only 3 closest friends i have- one just stopped calling me after changing schools and making popular friends and the other blocked my number over some petty fight from months ago. thank the universe im still chatting with my 3rd at least.

but im okay because i tell myself im doing great. im patting myself on my back. im going to go back home at some point and im going to get myself a new pair of earphones.

im proud for staying strong. im proud for not nearing the breaking point. im proud for keeping it up for 2 whole years and im proud that i wouldnt hesitate to continue.
