as the latest strike for palestine (the 18th-25th) begins today, i want to make a note for any new followers or pjo fans in general since the release of the pjo show and gathering discussion of it—never forget this series is a commentary on the way the old sacrifice the young. never forget disability and a struggling mother-son relationship are at the heart of the books. never forget this story tells us the solution to suffering is not a return to the ‘golden age’ that never was but to press forward by holding authority accountable—by changing the system, not becoming the oppressor ourselves. never forget the media you read, watch, and listen to, no matter how fantastical, are reflections of our real world—they have always been political. if you gleefully engage and emphasize with the suffering of fictional people but turn your back on real people, real injustice, all that enjoyment might as well be burned to ash because you have become the very thing every story like this that you hold dear tried to warn you against.

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

It's a unique type of frustration when you agree that a character is deeply flawed but other people keep missing what's actually wrong with them and assigning them new flaws that they don't even have it's like free my man he did none of that. He did a bunch of other shit tho.

these army ants tend to move in groups of 4, with the line leader leading the expeditions. They have terrible eyesight, so rely on the sound of the Line Leader's bell staff, and the the pheromone map made by the previous expedition to know where they're heading.

#man those episodes #so many things put into perspective #like Simon’s role as a protector and his kindness and empathy and compassion and existence being the catalyst for the rest of ooo to #flourish #and Betty is a protector of Simon #I wonder if the last two episodes will explore more of her character? there’s so much to be explored about her giving so much of herself #to Simon but not thinking about what she wants for herself #do we get to explore her feelings or see her at all? will she have changed or learned to let go #I think there will be some sort of closure for the both of them #but at what cost #I am still crying over that scene with Simon’s memory of Betty and their song #my art #fionna and cake #fionna and cake spoilers #simon petrikov #betty grof #petrigrof #golbetty

It has no downsides!#There's only a few scenes that are fleshed out in the show so they can reference or fully do those and expand elsewhere #Even if the scenes are done poorly of course they are #Bad casting choices? Typical of the EIP!#The only casting choice that matters is the biggest buffest dude for Toph #There could be a behind the scenes feature during the intermission to show all the special effects #And there could be character cameos but not anywhere close to the camera so they are vague figures in the background
