I'm thinking abt that pretty fall leaves embroidery pattern post and about how like... it is categorically a repost, it's a reupload. right? a thing that is generally disliked. but because it's credited, it's genuinely boosting the artist in question.
and it could ALWAYS be like this. reposting content could ALWAYS be a symbiotic relationship, but because sourcing back to the original creator of something is so uncommon, it's just easier to ask people not to repost it at all. and people still don't understand the difference. or they'll go to the effort of cropping out usernames/signatures to repost something, which is More Effort than literally crediting the creator of something you liked enough to want to repost.
Like. I literally don't actually care if my own shit gets reposted, you have to understand. I just don't want it STOLEN. But "do not repost" is easier to write on my art than "you can repost this, but don't alter the image/remove my signature, don't you dare write 'credit goes to the artist' because that is not credit, please link back to my original post or someplace that you can actually find me. please use an actual link/url instead of writing a non-clickable link of my username, because making it text instead of a clickable link cuts the number of people who will go to the effort of visiting my own page in Half."
All those aggregate themed accounts, those fuckin annoying as hell instagrams and facebook groups that are like "body positive art we love wamen 💕 hashtag feminism" and then MASS-STEAL plus sized art created by women, if pages like these that always go and steal my older self-portraits and other works... If they just put a link to my prints of those pieces in the text of those posts, or, fuck, my commission info page? I would literally be living on the moon right now. I would have a house on the moon

You know what I appreciate most about your twitter AUs? How accurate the numbers and ratios are. It feels so realistic. What is your framework/reference for deciding how well a fictional tweet performs and who is verified, etc?
Oh interesting question!! honestly I feel like any post that has a picture of Kevin in it or is about him is going to have more likes/retweets, same way as any tweets by Kevin are ~usually~ going to have more interaction.
I think Kevin is most likely to be verified, Jean too, and then the USC team (meaning Cat, Laila and Jeremy in this au) are pretty much all verified because they’re older players + on one of the big 3 teams.
Post aftg though I feel like all of the foxes grow a whole lot more though. Most specifically bc of Neil’s drama but also having won the championships and just people in general being interested in what the foxes are up to.
Other foxes I think Allison could also be verified, and maybe Neil/Andrew and possibly Dan too. David would be verified too.
I don’t think too much about the numbers it’s more like “would this have more likes bc it’s a funny tweet? I think it’s kinda funny” and do the numbers accordingly

Idk the whole situation with Quinton (though so far it does look like he's the victim and he was, at worst, negligent) but if you say some shit like "oh that guy always gave me a bad vibe" I am killing you. You're literally no different than a stereotypical high school mean girl. What the fuck is that "vibe"? You literally judge him on him being fat, socially awkward, and not conventionally attractive. That's it. That's what a vibe is, judging based on looks. "Oh but the DMs" there's a reason his face and name were blacked out: there was nothing to actually call out. At worst he was overreaching his parasocial relationship with bigger creators but like, that's it. Like even if he did turn out to be a terrible abusive creep and the worst person ever or whaever there's still no reason to have ever suspected that. The DMs are just awkward, and I don't know exactly what in his videos would tell you that other than, again, his appearace. Also miss me with that stupid fucking "oh if someone is avoided in the industry there's usually a reason why" wow yeah so true such good commentary people are only ever avoided for being a creep or a bad boss or whatever. No one in the history of humanity has ever been ostracized for any other reason than being objectively a terrible person. The fuck

I would guess the dates and times (in JST) for next group of news we get is:
Wednesday May 15th 7pm - Quartet Night 'Song Letter' MV clip
Wednesday May 15th 8pm - Quartet Night Retweet Campaign starts
Friday May 17th 7pm - Quartet Night Group Introduction
Wednesday May 22nd 7pm - Heavens 'Glorious Angels' MV clip
Wednesday May 22nd 8pm - Heavens Retweet Campaign starts
Friday May 24th 7pm - Heavens Group Introduction
That leaves May 25-June 11 (or May 29-June 12 if you count the 3rd RT campaign) clear for more announcements before the game releases on the 12th. I'd guess no announcement on the 25th so soon after the Heavens introduction, so at the very least probably something on May 29th and June 5th. We still need a proper look at the Piece Gacha system and probably some full teaser trailer videos and ads for the game like Shining Live had.
Likely also smaller announcements of rewards if certain milestones are hit for amount of pre-registered users etc, but so far nothing like that has been announced.

ok based on what im seeing from cohost it actually seems like the best alternative if you actually wanna be able to make whatever kinda posts you want. so like for my purposes it HYPOTHETICALLY works best. its also pretty similar to tumblr in terms of layout though im not a huge fan of the design of the site? hopefully i can customize it more though- theres a waiting period of about a day or two before i can really post or do anything so i really cant say 100% if im on board
but if tumblr went down i might try to use cohost for my oc stuff, and honestly i would like it if enough ppl used it so that i could just stay on there, but if i have to use twitter to keep in touch w ppl so be it. i really hate how public twitter feels though, i like it better on smaller sites like here and, well, hypothetically cohost, where it doesnt feel like i could be subject to the public eye at any point.
so yeah ill tell you all how good or bad it is once the waiting period is over and hopefully if its good enough for me and maybe some of you we can make accs to move to, if the time ever comes. but for now im happy with my stuff here and i hope i can keep it here. if you already have one my username there is the same, tho obvs its empty. anyway im going to watch k on

(Happy belated birthday to me :) )
Thank you guys for the wonderful year. I haven't been able to post as much lately-but I just wanted to-well I wanted to take a picture of the beans with a cupcake.
I'll do a more proper retrospective of the year in my main channel, but--this little devil may cry side blog, though small and less frequent in updates than I would like--has been really nice, and really encouraging honestly. I've actually made some progress on a possible webcomic, and I do think--part of that confidence did come from the support over here.
So here's to the next year, and who knows, maybe we'll get something during the next game showcase. 🥂✨

Wait, you've been a Sunny fan for 8 years?! You've got to tell us how it's been in that time!!! What's the vibe been like here in that time and how has it changed? What were the big fan theories? Was r/iasip always such a hellhole dumpsterfire? What are the big things from the fandom back in the day that we don't know about but should?
Ooooh lets see what I remember-
Charlie reigned supreme- like really and truly so many blogs and so, so much content was Charlie Charlie Charlie, everyday, all the time and I mean he still is insanely popular but definitely back in the day Charlie in the show and of the cast was easily the most popular, like it felt like 7/10 posts were about him. Glenn was next in line but I do distinctly remember Kaitlin and Rob didn't have as much content about them, at a certain point I kinda was the Kaitlin Olson tag, that's not me being up myself I just used to be in her tag constantly and it'd be a lot of posts in a row of just me- the girls of the series def didnt always get the love they should and I'm not really sure that's changed much ☠ But yeah this was also around the time that everyone was also going gaga about Pacific Rim so that def made Charlie even more popular too.
Macdennis has always, always been a popular pairing but their popularity 100% has skyrocketed the past few years, and I mean SKYROCKETED. Like they're on par with some wildly popular mlm ships nowadays and it's lowkey so funny to see em in the ring with like. destiel 😂 now when I go in the tag it seems half the posts feature mac and dennis, which is notable to me bc Mac especially was kinda... Unloved is not the right way to phrase it bc fans have always loved him but Rob/Mac def didn't get /as/ much love back in the day. Like people often spoke of him as the weakest character but after season 13 I think he's gained more appreciation.
Fans have def gotten much bigger on theories and stuff these days, I'm sure they had em back then too but it wasn't as prevalent and none particularly stand out, it was usually just the "X characters are secretly sleeping together" type beat. I also remember a popular theory that everyone was going to die in the inevitable series finale but then the show never got cancelled and I dont know what that was about?
Reddit has always been messy and there def was a pretty big us vs them type vibe between sunny fans back then- though it was less reddit vs tumblr and more "straight dude bros" vs everyone else like I remember so many posts being like "Ugh straight dude bros don't get the show" I probably made some of those posts 😂 Lots of "Mac isn't actually gay" too which is very, very funny in hindsight- No one ever thought they'd canonize his sexuality.
Ummm... Probably the most notable thing to me tho is seeing how popular the cast has become, like 8 years ago Danny was the only "Big name" Like the media absolutely spoke of the show as these no name people and Danny Devito. I mean that was not totally the case for Charlie, he was becoming more and more popular and gaining traction in the mainstream with pacific rim and the likes but with Glenn, Kaitlin and Rob they were definitely not super well known outside Big always sunny fans so seeing them go from that to Rob being besties with Ryan Reynolds and stuff has honestly been super interesting and funny. Like I remember posting rob and kaitlins wedding pictures and getting so many people going WAIT THEYRE MARRIED?? it was hilarious to see the transition.
Yeah those are probably the biggest changes I can think of- it's gotten more popular which explains most of it, shipping has def become a much bigger thing as well, ships were pretty chill back then, there wasn't too much fic or art so thats different now :)
OH BUT ART! There's always been wonderful fan artists but nowadays wowee!! some amazing art for the series, like much more abundant! That's the gist of it :)
