being back in pittsburgh was less than ideal for charlie anderson. he was supposed to be in europe with his friends, a little reward for securing his bachelor's degree in biology. that had fallen apart, and now he could hardly afford to take the mcat. pittsburgh wasn't paris, and adventureland wasn't the louvre — but charlie had no other choice, he had to make do. a party at mick huntington's house seemed like a good enough start. charlie didn't know mick very well, but he got the idea that no one really did. he walked around like the coolest guy in the world, with his bleached hair and carefree attitude. they weren't close, but mick's parents were out of town and he'd invited everyone to drop by. mick, now a 'games guy' at pittsburgh's beloved adventureland amusement park, was apart of everyone now — so there he was. he was the new kid in town, and he didn't really know anyone. his only pal refused to tag along, leaving charlie to linger on the outskirts of the party like a total loser. god, he missed new york. "oh, hi!" charlie said as mickey brushed past him. "nice, uh... house? your parents have great taste." there was no cool way to talk to someone who's presence intimidated him down to the soles of his shoes. "i, uh... i brought weed," charlie offered, pulling a handful of pre-rolled blunts from his pocket. "if y'don't feel like putting your mouth on ricky's bong. he's kinda gross." @ryanlockheart
