Which (longer than one episode) story arc do you think the show could have done without? And what do you think should have replaced it?

(Quite a few. 👀)

For this ask, I'll go with Eric and Donna's celibacy arc in season 6. It essentially rehashes (badly) their well-written S1-S2 arc where they have different levels (or timelines) of readiness for adding sex to their relationship.

Eric spending time figuring out what he's passionate about career-wise, and Donna dealing with the frustration (and other feelings) about her and Eric putting their future on hold while Eric helps support his family financially -- and how these individual storylines might dovetail into an interesting and fresh Eric/Donna arc.

“They don’t visit you very often, do they?”

It was a familiar question to Kitty, definitely not the first time she had been asked it. However, the way that Red asked the question sounded more sympathetic and genuine not the fake sympathy and pity or judgement that was usually laced in the words when others found out her children did not visit her as often and their own did. Red’s voice though sounded sincere; Kitty could hear his concern, and maybe she thought, even a bit of anger. Her money would be on towards her boys.

“They try to…” she tried to reason. “They do.” 

Red’s expression told Kitty that she hadn’t done the best job at convincing him.

“But, well, Steven visits more often because he’s still in town. He calls too whenever he gets too busy at work and can’t stop by,” she said hoping that would explain why he had not seen Steven in the past few weeks that they had been spending their nights together. “He practically owns his own business, and he still mingles with all the other single pringles out there.”

Kitty giggled at her own joke and looked to see Red had even cracked a smirk on his lips. 

Before she realized it was happening, Kitty’s smile slowly softened into a smaller state as she thought about Eric. Her baby boy.

“It’s easier for Steven to find the time to visit than it is for Eric,” Kitty admitted and pulled her joyful grin back in its place. “Eric is out there in Chicago and he’s a teacher so his schedule is extra busy and he’s got his own little family.”

👀 Honestly, I have! It’s nothing super concrete, but I’ve floated around a few different ideas for the dynamics and “roles” within the story.

(Including the opening kill 😁)

I’m pretty sold on the final girl Donna concept, along with the Dewey x Gale coded Jackie x Eric plot line. But obviously a lot of details would be tweaked / changed to actually fit the story.

I appreciate the interest <3 haha Scream and T7S are my two biggest brainrots so I’m glad people are down for me potentially combining the two.

(I literally was thinking about rewatching Scream last night… it’s been too long since I’ve seen the original at this rate 😭💔)

13. What fic was the easiest to write?

I had a big year of writing and I'm actually proud of myself for seeing through, and in the new year, I can only hope to write more.

I think I've had the easiest time writing Where Are You Now?

I have myself on a strict deadline (Christmas) and the story has been an absolute labor of love, and feel genuinely good about it. I can bang out chapters like no shaboggle, no lie. 😉

14. Rec a fic you wrote or posted in 2023

So the fic Imma discuss that I wrote is Faking it, since I'm sure my moots are sick of my most recent Where Are You Now? which I've been more focused on lately because it's a seasonal kind of story. Now, Faking It features a lot of the same characters used in WAYN but is less au, set in the high school era, mainly around the season 5 mark. By contrast, WAYN is canon to s3 around Holiday, and then it changes and is set years later in adulthood. There are vignettes to bridge gaps, that's why they exist if you do read it and don't know.

The best way to describe it is like a fake romance au. Emma wistfully and even pathetically crushes hard on the new kid in school, Peter Stone, and is too cowardly to tell him. It's worth noting that this version of Peter isn't that important and is just a distraction, but s5 drops out of canon and is a bit over the top, follows the HS years and has differences making its own storyline.

Sean is newly returned to Degrassi and has his sights set on winning back Ellie's affection, but she won't give him the time of day and is angry with him for how he left her with the rent and everything else, overall is in a better state of mind. So Sean and Emma join forces to get what they both desire just as friends posing as lovers or whatever. It gets complicated when Sean learns of Jay and Emma's secret tryst in the ravine, and some lingering feelings they'd been denying make them question if this is what they want anymore, in turn they draw nearer to each other, and it blurs the line between their friendship and more and other storylines relate to that. I have quite a bit done with that one, and then I kind of got a bad case of writer's block and left it alone but I started around April of 2023 for that story, and do plan on seeing it through in time after I finish with my current WIP.

Where are you now? is based on music and such a commentary on superstardom and grief, family, friendship, loyalty, trauma, and the question (rhetorical), can money buy happiness, or love? The answer is obvious. Loosely based off of the song Lucky by Britney Spears, and titled with era album-mate Where Are You Now? It is a love story against the backdrop of Christmas, present day.

Doctor Who

M/F OTP: The Ninth Doctor and Rose Tyler. Full stop. They are the stuff of legends, they brought Doctor Who back to life, and they weaved the most intimate love story this series has ever seen.

M/M OTP: Well, if we're doing the whole Whoniverse, my favourite is Charlie and Matteusz from the woefully underrated spin-off series, Class. They were so endearingly adorkable!

F/F OTP: The Thirteenth Doctor and Yasmin Khan. They told an epic love story together in such a powerful, subtle way, and I'm going to miss them so much.

OT3: I've always been a fan of Amy, Rory, and Eleven together. They were basically Doctor Who's Tri-Force for their entire era because they were such a unit.

Favorite Canon: This is a great opportunity to bring up Clara Oswald and the Twelfth Doctor. I will never, ever get over how much Twelve went through to bring Clara back to life.

Favorite Crack: I went through a period where I got really into Clara and Rose. I think, if they were in the same room together, Clara would be all heart-eyed over Rose.

Guilty Pleasure: I don't think I can come up with anything at the moment for this one!

Pairing I Hate: The Doctor and River Song. I'm sorry, but good lord, the majority of the time they were on screen together, it didn't sit well with me. I don't necessarily outright hate them, but I never gelled with this dynamic. Don't have any issues with people who do, but it's just not for me.

What do you think was Kitty and Red’s first date? (After their initial meeting)

Thank you so much for the ask! You know, I haven't given much thought about this question before. I do like to think that after their initial meeting, they ended up spending most of the remaining part of the USO dance together, talking, laughing, and dancing the night away before Red ended up walking her home and they made plans for their official first date.

During their official first date, since they were a little older early to mid 20s, I think they probably went to a nice dinner where they got to know each other a little more. Though they talked at the USO dance it had mostly about silly, fun stuff, at dinner they talked more about themselves, their interest, families, etc.

At some point during dinner the band there started to play "Some Enchanted Evening" and...

"Oh, I just love this song," Kitty shared with a smile. "Don't you?"

Red merely nodded, but seemed more interested in cutting his entrée "It's a nice song."

"It is such a good song to dance to," she continued.

Red grinned as he looked across the table at her. "I can see that. You're practically twirling in your seat there."

"So," Kitty said sounding teasing and playful as she continued to sway while still seated. "What're you gonna do to fix that?"

"You want me to ask 'em to stop playing?" he frowned.

Kitty beamed back at him, still swaying. "Nooo."

It quickly dawned on Red what she was getting at. "You wanna dance, don't you?"

"You were such a good dancer the other night at the USO dance," she tried to encourage.

"You'd also had a lot more Manhattans in you," he reminded pointing at the half full glass of her first drink of the night.

She just smiled back at him with same smile that had somehow managed to stop his world for a few moments after he'd pulled her up to her feet at the USO dance. This time it was assuring him, she'd still enjoy dancing with him even without the liquor.

"You know, I don't say this a lot," he wiped his mouth with the napkin and stood up before he extended his hand in Kitty's direction. "But, would you like to dance?"

She placed her hand in his and grinned. "Always"

And that was the night Red learned the advice he'd one day pass on to his sons. Women always wanna dance. Always.

omg YES but my ranking is going to be very controversial so please be warned 😅😅

1.) Jill

she is literally unbeaten as ghostface, imo. she had the most interesting motive and she survived the third act! she almost got AWAY with it!

the og for a reason 🤷

3.) Amber

i fucking LOVE her character, and i think mikey madison’s performance is one of the best in the franchise. her reveal is also sooo memorable

4.) Quinn

she’s insanely over-hated, lol. i was shocked by her reveal and i will always root for a female killer! ++ she gave us one of the most iconic calls in the franchise with gale, so??? also i actually rlly liked the bailey-kirsches motives and i think they were way better executed in revenge than mrs loomis

5.) Ethan

😵‍💫 this one will cause controversy but i rank the ghostfaces on vibes and i liked his, lol. he was fucking BRUTAL behind the mask, and he was a total bitch in a funny way in the last act 🤷

he would be higher but i think his fans are really annoying and that’s soured my opinion on him lol matthew lillard is such a talented actor though!

he was just kind of camp! + his motive was unique because he actually wanted to be caught
