Saw a post making fun of Asexuals in the year of our Good Vibes 2022 so a reminder:

The A stands for the Asexual community and spectrum (it also represents the Aromantic and Agender communities but I’m Asexual so I’ll be talking about that specifically in this post)

Celibacy is a choice to abstain from sex. Asexuality is a sexuality defined by a lack of sexual attraction to anyone, not by the choice to abstain from sex.

Every asexual person has different feelings on sex (an activity, not an attraction) - some are sex repulsed, some are sex neutral, and some are sex favorable. A physically pleasurable experience is not equal to an attraction to parties involved.

The Asexual community has been around since the dawn of the Queer liberation movement, and Asexual individuals have always existed.

Aphobia is real and has done tangible harm to Asexual people. Listen to and learn from their experiences.

If you make fun of Asexuals and their community jokes (dragons/cakes/cards) you are Aphobic. If you’re Asexual and you make fun of these aspects of your own community or consider them ‘cringe’ you have internalized Aphobia.

Sometimes teenagers and young people will identify as Asexual and change their label later in life. This does not mean that all young people who identify as Asexual will change their minds, nor does it mean that all people who identify as Asexual are young.

Seriously what do you people have against the dragons and cake jokes those are classic and hilarious please deconstruct why you have so much rage for harmless jokes that’s not a healthy response to silliness.

I totally get gendered petnames like dude, sis, bro, and whatever else, and I get why some people might be confused as to why some trans people might take issue with a petname you might think is neutral. However, I do want people to remember that trans people often have different relationships with those petnames because they're gendered, and they might be uncomfortable with those connotations. A trans woman who doesn't want you to call her "dude" is probably not doing it to anger or accuse you of anything, but she might just have a negative relationship with that word.

I get that it can be hard to change habits, but it is worth it to include trans people. If a trans person in your life asks you not to use certain words, I promise they aren't trying to fuck you over or make you feel like you're under attack. They are just expressing a boundary - one that cis people also express.

Still not quite sure how I feel about their approach to Wukong I love it because it makes sense for his LMK character but I also hate it because it takes away the part of him that makes him complex and reduces him down to like 90% of what he does being because someone else told him to do it rather than his own pride and desire for things and peoples issues with him, but that also is part of what makes it fit with this Wukong, glad they at least kept the circlet, don’t like how quick he came around to accepting it, unless someone threatened to kill his bros if he didn’t so he agreed to it to save their lives and THATS why Azure and the others got away scott free no problem, and then by then he experienced the power of the circlet so he had no choice but to seal them away, or he got bitter heck i don’t know Wukong’s character feels like its getting such a short end of the stick rn and I love it but hate it but like it but dislike it but HECK ITS JUST SO SLIGHTLY TO THE LEFT ITS THROWING ME OFF BUT THEY HANDLED IT REALLY WELL, IF ANYONE ELSE TRIED THIS I’D CRINGE BUT MONKIE KID HAS SUCH GOOD WRITERS AND ANIMATION THEY MAKE IT WORK SOMEHOW AND I’M OFFENDED BY IT HGBDFSFASF HECK DUDE

I adore Azure’s characterization though, he’s so funky and so in denial and I actually can’t wait to see what happens with him and if he turns on his other bros, cause a plot line with them seeing he’s kinda insane would be DOPE Wise old elephant can’t follow a lunatic for long right? How he treats Mk is very interesting because he does seem to see him like a nephew of some kind or at least thinks he should care about him, hence the “mercy” and focusing only on him rather than, like, Mei, who’s much more thrilled and looked up to him for a bit there. i get the sense that top is often underestimated. both in the show and out, it seems like people are surprised by his acts of decency or his deeper moments. like mew being shocked that he wasnt mad after being rejected in ep 1. boston remarking that top isnt the kind of person for a relationship. mew thinking he was joking about having insomnia. and then the reaction from the audience about whether his story about the fire is actually true.

and yknow, i dont think that he has the best of intentions, and he couldve been lying about the fire (tho the haunted look on his face leads me to believe otherwise), but i do still think its interesting and a bit sad that so many people automatically expect the worst of him.

You've stumbled upon a can of worms, the issue now being which one I get to pick out. My whole mind is insane crack-headcanons. I build dynasties off these crack-canons!

I guess while not crack-crack, I do rotate the theory of Cloud potentially being one of President Shinra's bastards. We have two confirmed bastards, Lazard Deusericus and Evan Townshend, both of whom are blond and blue-eyed, like the President and Rufus, and Cloud. How Claudia Strife hit it off with the most powerful man on the planet beats me, but the guy has his ways.

This also makes all interactions between Cloud and Rufus much funnier to me because I am a sick bastard.
