Remembering Julian Sands 1958-2023

After months of searching for him, it has now been confirmed that actor Julian Sands died in a hiking accident at 65.

My favorite performance of his was in Jennifer Lynch's Boxing Helena. The movie itself was a little uneven to say the least, but Sands was mesmerizing as an obsessed surgeon who amputates an ex (Sherilyn Fenn). I saw it in the movie theater because it was David Lynch's daughter directing and she had written the Laura Palmer Diaries book, which I loved. I hadn't seen Sands in much at that time, but was blown away.

Other noteworthy performances include Arachnophobia, Naked Lunch, Leaving Las Vegas, One Night Stand, Timecode, Ocean's Thirteen and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

I have been seriously slacking on drawing either of my ocs interacting with the other more popular pastas (mostly because i suck at drawing most of them, insert my struggles with Toby here) but there two are all ive been able to think all week so here they are

there'll get a lengthy info dump about them soon once i can actually get my ideas straight, its all a jumbled mess rn (there is context for this scenario, you just shan't receive it yet :) )

This whole scene is so fucking cool I won't even hold you.

Highlights include:

-The animation (ofc)

-Sora grabbing a Wolf Mask Warrior by the head after activating her mech, then kicking another one away.

-Wyldfyre blasting one Wolf Mask into another with one of her flame attacks, only to then grab him by the leg and punch his throat in so hard that flies backwards and lies face-first in the ground (he is never speaking another word again.)

-Cinder's over-confident smirk and headshake as he walks down the steps.

-The misdirect as it Looks like Sora's aiming for the mask, but then she grabs Cinder by the wrist.
