This question hit me kind of hard this morning tbh. I wanted to answer with a generic: “You’re so sweet! Thank you! I appreciate it!”

But I changed my mind. I’m going to answer you honestly. And I say this not only to answer you, but as a statement towards this fandom as a whole.

Most days, no. I don’t feel that I’m worth it. I don’t feel talented. Most days are very hard, and I have to do a lot to push through them. I don’t say this to look for sympathy or pity but because I know a lot of people feel the same way. Life is hard, and the state of the world doesn’t make it any easier.

That being said, this fandom is so absolutely incredible! I cannot scream that loudly enough. I can’t. I have never felt as confident in my work and in my capabilities as I have here. I have never been within a group of people who care as much as you guys do—not just caring about the things that are being created, but about the people that sit behind the screen, as well.

I love seeing not just the interactions with myself, but the interactions between everyone else as well. I love seeing the support, the inspiration, the sharing, etc. I’ve been told on multiple occasions in the last few months that I’m smiling more, that my spark is coming back, that I’m acting like myself again. I don’t know that I can really express how much it means to me that this community is most of the reason for that.

With that rant over, VALENTINE. You are so very wonderful. Your dedication to this was an inspiration in itself. You’ve given me some form of small writing/art prompt every day, and it was very helpful in keeping me from giving up on the things I was working on. Your questions, even the silly ones, were thought provoking and aided in a lot of my character development—especially Julian’s. 

Valentine, to you specifically, thank you so very much. 💜

No hate to Manon but the way she left Rody was kinda a dick move

I can see her reasoning for leaving Rody, and she's pretty right about him not being ready for a relationship, but leaving the man with no other support system when he clearly needs help(therapy, counseling, etc etc) was a bitchy move.

She was his ONLY SUPPORT SYSTEM, and he clearly has problems-

Not saying she's obligated to help him, but given the circumstances she was really the only one who could

Leaving him/taking a break was a good choice, but don't just cut him off entirely and go for a new man right away. Leave him but still be there to be a shoulder to cry on and get him help, make sure to keep a healthy and friendly distance while doing so

Rody clearly has issues and needs help, and ditching him for another man(who clearly had no interest in her) was a dick move from Manon

Also- Manon, my girl, Vincent clearly didn't give a shit about you yet you kept trying- how desperate are ya? It's just sad

Also can we talk about the fact she said she still loves Rody yet immediately went for a new man aa soon as SHE broke it off.

You see, unfortunately, due to fic culture and too much internet, I have fallen in love with misinterpreted "Oh golly! Oh gosh!" This "potentially mature content" label on Tumblr is a fucking mess. And it also hides EVERYTHING, even the tags, so you have to click to check what the hell it is.

Half of my recent movie gif posts are flagged that way for no reason whatsoever. Gifset posts for Alien Romulus, Conclave, and Dune. Oh, so many Dune posts flagged. Why the heck does it consider the Leaving Caladan scene as "potentially mature content" or Cardinal Lawrence walking his turtle??? Like bro. Shoddiest implementation of a feature.
