Tip and Oh - By the Tree - December 31 2022

Last pic of 2022!!! lol I really wanted to finish this one before the end of the year. :p

I worked on this much of Christmas Day and a little bit of the next day, ultimately finishing Tip and the background. But I spent so long on it in those few sessions and had to put it down for a while, so Oh had to wait to be completed. :p  Really, I have been more invested in watercolor or just physical art this year and that is expected to continue, but it does not mean that I never do digital art. :)

Happy New Year!!!!! I guess bring in 2023! Geez, 2022 seemed short?

Tip & Pig 🧡💚 Yehe, I've finally drawn these two! I couldn't wait any longer (so I put my Comfyteddy and Honey art aside) to finish this. I've fallen in love with the Tucci family's designs (along their characters in general) when I first watched the movie, to the point where I would self-insert myself into the movie to not only be with Oh but being Tip's sister, going through the crazed adventure and eventually get reunited with our mom. It's the vibe of the family I truly cherish, and it's especially when it reminds me of my mother and I going through the same situation(s) like moving to different places (Note: funnily enough, we were originally going to Paris, but ended up in Mexico instead 😅), living a steady life and overall trying to make the best of things, though I don't recall having to deal with an alien Invasion, if that happened it would insane! And it's also nice to relate to another biracial character since I'm also biracial, too. She has a cute cat! I love cats! ♡ Overall, I adore the movie. It impacted my life beautifully, and I'm happy I watched back then than now. ❤️

This drawing is based off of @still-worth-saving‘s Home oneshot, The Space Between the Stars! I read it right after watching the movie, and nearly cried. It’s so beautiful and in-character!

The colors are mostly stolen from the Netflix show, but I had to improvise for Oh as he’s supposed to be pinker here and apparently Boov on the show don’t really change color? Idek I haven’t seen it.

Also had to improvise with Tip’s pyjamas as again, I haven’t seen the show. Thought she’d be the kind of person whose pjs are nearly identical to clothes.

By FAR the hardest part was anatomy, which is still off. I will not go into detail over how many times I had to redraw the part of Oh’s head that connects to the…horns? Also I completely redid Tip’s legs halfway through inking.

According to the book, Boov aren’t that firm at all and are actually very huggable. I wonder if they’re like a large pillow.

If you tag this as a ship I will cram you in the freezer and leave you locked there forever so you can never come into the out now.

im gonna rewatch all of stranger things right here right now because i was thinking about a futuristic four au with them but i need need NEED more characters other than wilbur robinson, violet parr, penny forrester, and hiro hamada. i was thinking other characters i see with them like tip tucci, riley anderson, maybe vanellope von schweetz, and miguel rivera.

i know i really wanna do season 1 and 2 respectively if i ever get around to writing it. idk about season 3 or 4... ill come back and update as the seasons pass
