as much as I love 141 medieval au's here the reader is a noble lady saved from her marriage or some lone townswomans rescued by the group of knights (looking @ my own nun!reader in this) I do love the notion of a lady knight.

A badass woman with no name or backstory that's taken up the life of a sellsword- who scoffs at the notion of "honor" when spilling blood on your blade- death is death. Honor means nothing for God or king.

Her hair is cut close to her scalp, because it's all too easy for somebody to grab a handful of those soft locks and be at the perfect position to slit her throat in a fight. Covered in scars and carried by aching bones that broke years ago but never quite healed properly.

Maybe Price is a king who sees this helmeted figure fighting at a tourney for his name day and asks for their name- their noble house only to learn you have none. Simply a desire for the money awarded to the winner.

Maybe Gaz is beloved prince who often sneaks out from his guards nose to mingle with the common folk- who enjoys sitting in a tavern with others and singing songs while drinking ale with a pretty little thing on his lap until he's walking back to the palace and finds a blade at his neck in a dark alley as you warn him that noblebloods should never walk unaccompanied- it makes the job far too easy.

Maybe a beautiful noble lady is sent to stay under the eye of a royal family in discussion for marriage- when the house offers to gift her one for their personal guards of the 141, she insists she more than happy with her own- you. The silent armor-clad figure standing close to her side. (yes I miss domentzia. she's my wife and always will be).

Echo Visual Novel Playlist!

Hey all! Last year I played Echo, and by god has it stuck with me. From the story, art, characters, and generally just how naturally all the queer stuff felt during my time reading. I highly suggest anyone who had not played it yet to check it out, but be warned it is not for the faint of heart!

My and my partner made this playlist over the course of 4 months! It had 4 hours of songs that we tried to fit into vibes, characters, and themes. Here is my breakdown of what each song fits to. A in depth breakdown would be it's own video essay so the breakdown is imperfect, but I think this cover most of them well enough. Of course some songs are put into multiple categories and it's easy to understand why.

I remember writing tyrus fic after the infamous double dribble scene aired. i was like ok, this drives a wedge between tj and cyrus that does not resolve until deep in their high school years. I was fully prepared to write the fic all the way through their high school years and an epilogue where they got married many years later as adults. realistically I don’t think the two of them last until then bc. like they’re like basically barely lived they’re like 13 and 14 respectively but the romantic in me says they do

SHUT UP ABOUT COSTUME DAY ILL NEVER BE OVER IT. i remember when we thought they were gonna be salt and pepper and then their goofy asses come along with a sweet little costume based on an inside joke 😭 it was the cutest shit ever and then it was the most PAINFUL thing. oh tj kippen you little sad boy and your internalized homophobia storyline on DISNEY CHANNEL. he means everything to me.

i always thought they could go the distance, but with a little breakup era after high school when cyrus goes to a big brain school for stem and tj gets a basketball scholarship to a state school super far away, but to me they will ALWAYS find their way back to each other. there’s a certain soulmateism that they exhibit heavily
