im absolutely still accepting asks! I'm so glad you asked I love talking about my iteration !!

🧪the mutagen comes from a lab that had some unfortunate changess in management

🧫 they were mutated intentionally to learn more about mutants which already exist in this universe but avoid humans kinds like the Yokaii in rise they have their own separate space to live

😡shredders motivation is actually similar to the turtles, he was a human who worked at the lab same as Splinter who was mutated his daughters were mutated as well but they did not make it. he is not a bad man but he is blinded by anger and starts to go too far to destroy anyone involved including Splinter who was a head scientist at the lab

😺 venus does she has lots of cats that she takes in and cares for klunk being her first. splinter leo raph don and mikey have a family pet whos a 3 headed hairless cat they saved from the lab named muffin

🍳id say Mikey is the best cook along with splinter. Mikey teaches Raph how to cook because he doesn't wake up early enough

🎨mikey is not super great at art neither are his brothers but splinter likes to paint with watercolor from time to time.

🔬donnie is interested in a lot of other things mostly engineering and he loves plants and botany... although he's not great at keeping the plants alive so they usually end up with Mikey

And the mutagen is fun to talk about because in this universe, the mutagen is a naturally occurring element in the Earth!

It's a non-renewable resource and is found deep in the Earth, pretty close to the mantle probably. It can come up to the surface via means of things like volcanoes and such.

The mutagen on the surface feels kinda lukewarm and is super dense (probably the consistency of pizza dough or something). You can touch it and hold it safely generally. Consuming any amount, or having any enter a wound causes very rapid mutation though so probably dont recommend playing with it :'D

💵 How do your turtles make money? Or do they only scavenge?

They would mainly scavenge or steal for food, after awhile they started getting some money from Donnie and Raph basically looting the petty criminals they would stop (unless the criminals were stealing from others, then they would return the money). But after awhile April decided she wanted to help out and she buys them groceries and stuff. Every now and then she just gives them some money, but most of the time she'll just buy stuff for them herself.

Short answer: yes.

Lol but there definitely is romance. I have some decided on and others I'm not 100% for sure yet.

Nope, not different species of turtle. When I designed them I didn't really even think about it, and then afterwards I was like "oh maybe I should change them to be different turtles" but at that point I was already so happy with their designs I didn't wanna change them.

🧶Raph possibly did knit before the apocalypse but he hasn't been too concerned with finding yarn, and if he did it would be completely in secret much like his drawing desk that's hidden behind things in his room. But maybe having a kid around that needs clothing might encourage him to knit. 👀

But I feel like we can all assume what happens there

🤖 Technically no, but he does have what one may refer to as far too many robots. He constructs drones regularly, chooses to pilot an android body instead of using his own, and no spoilers but there is a lower floor of the bunker where no one goes and he may be storing large projects there.

👹 No because I'm a coward! Well kinda! But !!! The issue is I have less knowledge of those and some things I am unsure how I can represent them organically in this but I may chicken out and go "whoops all mutants" but anything could happen, some of the plot I literally just decide as I write lol

🔬He was interested in a lot of things, technology and medicine were definitely the biggest though. He was working on ways to make prosthetics for humans and was hoping that somehow he could sell those to make a living (not charging US healthcare amounts) once he was an adult but the world sorta collapsed before then. April used to bring him college level textbooks and recordings that she bought off of AP students in her school.

He's made all his siblings prosthetics.

No.The turtle got mutanted bc of a messed up Science experiment by Shedder and Stockman which. After a explosion Splinter stumble upon the turtle tots that had mutagen nearby and got mutanted

Yes, furring the barn arc Leo brakes his leg and had to use crutches
