Hiieeeeeee! Okay first of all the sorting of your blog is SO AMAZING I swear you're gonna get an avalanche of random likes and reblogs from me (and many others) since you've made it extremely easy for us to stalk your blog now :D It must have taken so much time and efforts you're amazing!!! And second I have a random question which I felt was suited for an ask so here goes. I was thinking about it (and i did a little research too lol) and for the crimes Shyam committed I don't think he's getting more than 12-15 years in jail (MAX). And that's me being generous and assuming Shashi communicated the attempted murder to Arnav who then used his resources to ensure that's added to Shyam's crime list. Because max punishment for attempted murder is 10 + max punishment for killing a foetus is 5 and even if you add the kidnapping and other random stuff it doesn't amount to more than 20 years total and usually you're allowed to serve at least some of it concurrently than consequently unless you're like a brutal serial killer or something and anyway considering good behaviour they let you usually get a few years off at the end. Shyam seems slimy and manipulative enough to swing that. Lol sorry for the legal deep dive but my actual question is - let's assume 10-15 yrs after the events of the show Shyam is released, what do you think he will do? I know in a soap opera world this is a great set up for like Return of the Villain type of storyline but from a more...realistic perspective, do you think his obsession and hatred would have increased, and he would pursue revenge? Or just stay away from the Raizadas for the rest of his life? Would he be a threat to them? Okay sorry for the long ask and thanks :)
Hello sweetie,
Haha I'm glad you're loving the sorting! I also have my main navigation pinned (so it's the first post anyone sees) and it should make things easier in general.
Also, thank you for the love.
So your question is, once Shyam's time at prison is over (considering he went there for 15 years counting all his crimes) would he come back and get revenge?
My question to you is - would Shyam even be successful? As an ex convict there's already going a lot of eyes on Shyam and his movements will be tracked. I'm pretty sure there are solid trespassing orders where Shyam cannot live in the same city as any Raizada, Gupta, near associate of the Raizadas and Guptas (Arnav is that influential to get strict trespassing orders).
Shyam will not have any money to do anything. Not to hire any stalkers, any goons, anything. He might go to Dadi again (but even over there there would be trespassing orders).
Shyam is vengeful. But his chances at succeeding in anything is close to zero. When he had no restrictions, he struggled to succeed. With restrictions in place - it's pretty impossible.
I'm sure Khushi, Anjali, Shashi and Arnav would be pretty anxious when Shyam is released from jail and they'll take every measure possible to actually protect the family.
Anjali's child also died - so Shyam has no right nor connection to the Raizadas/Guptas. Since we also never knew what Shyam's motivations are - we also don't know what extend he'd go to.
I do feel the family will feel ultimate peace at Shyam's death.
Best,
JWB

C2 Spoilers
it drives me NUTS when people say that Taliesin and Matt decided together backstage to kill off Molly. It makes 0 sense and it's ??? just such an unnecessary rumor to spread. People on reddit often spout it like it's just a known fact. Like, as if Taliesin didn't famously complain about having to pull all nighters over a busy weekend to roll and conceptualize a new character cuz he had ZERO backup. As if Molly didn't JUST have a huge lore drop and was clearly building to be a major focus of the next branch of the story. As if Matt didn't have LOADS of lore and planning already done that he had to to redo and reconfigure to fit with the Tomb Takers going and exhuming Molly to continue their plans. Matt said he had this whole thing where Lucien was gonna show up in a different body and hunt down the M9 to kill Molly and take his old body back. He SAID that!
Idk why this drives me nuts. It just feels... almost disrespectful. Like. Y'all. Taliesin isn't a baby. He fucked up. It's okay. He made a dumb choice in the heat of the battle and doubled down and it got his character killed. Things escalated and there wasn't a healer and it's JUST as simple as that. Stop making shit up to justify something that only SEEMS LIKE IT'S ORDAINED because these people are talented story tellers. Blowing all the work they did to reconfigure the story and just HAND WAVING and being like "they planned it ahead of time" is just rude. If it all seems preplanned it's cuz Matt busted his patootie off and reweaved a frayed tapestry into a beautiful work. Happy accidents and all that. CMON.

Something I've been thinking a lot about lately is how everyone thought Egon had gone insane. What Happened that made them think that. They've fought a gigantic Stay Puft Marshmellow Man TWICE (counting the 2009 video game because iirc it's canon? Correct me if I'm wrong), fought an interdimensional god, fought a blood thirsty ruler that killed thousands and was hated by all that was trapped in a painting (and managed to get in to beat him by making THE STATUE OF LIBERTY start walking down the street with slime that reacted purely based on vibes), found an underground abandoned transit system full of the moodslime, had a bathtub try to eat Dana and her baby, fought a giant murderous black widow lady, fought the fisherman ghost who turned an entire hotel floor into the bottom of a ocean, and that's not even mentioning them getting trapped on an island that randomly raised up from underwater that had been abandoned for decades created by Ivor Shandor who worshipped Gozer. So what did he do or say that made everyone else think he'd gone insane?? All I can think is maybe he was acting strange / eratic before, but he's always been like that to some degree.
I don't know. It's something that I've been thinking about. The correct answer is 'it's not that deep and they needed a reason that the others weren't together anymore and weren't aware of Egons death or know what was going on,' but also. What Was He Saying that prompted everyone, including Ray, to think he lost his mind when he'd been right almost every time before that.
I'm genuinely so curious as to what he was up to before this. What was he doing. What insane idea was working on prior to this or was he even working on anything at all??
Also want to clarify this post isn't negative 😭 I really love the newer movies and their lore / the newer storyline / characters, I just like thinking about small stupid things like this. Gives me something to think about / speculate about / figure out an answer to.
