tommy was originally a civilian, he was about to be dream's meal but he keeps outwitting him somehow. its turned into some sick one-sided game between them. one of quackity's 'agents' got a front row seat and goes 'you're hired' to tommy who knows fuck all. quackity is like 'lemme offer you protection in exchange for service' and tommy goes fuck it i'm in.

tommy managed to kill dream but not before dream bit him w full intention of turning him. maybe as some sort of thrall. as of now tommy is a sireless vampire who hunts other vampires. he operates on sheer spite and feeds on fellow vampires. which is like. kinda taboo and really fucked up. if you're familiar w tokyo ghoul he's basically a kakuja. like kaneki even lol.

My headcanon for Yog Sothoth:

He has an immense hunger for blood. He always has a huge appetite. Usually, vampires only drink enough to satisfy their needs but Yog sucks his victims dry. He’ll drink every ounce of blood they have until they’re just dried up husks. He would fly out at midnight to detect any unsuspecting humans. He uses his human like charm to lure his victims to their doom. This is like my serial killer Francis as it mirrors his bloodthirsty nature.

Yog’s ‘human’ form is only a mask for his true form. His true form is a monstrous fluffy bat creature with big wings, talons and fangs. Another method he uses to kill his victims is to scoop them up, fly high up into the sky and drop his victims to instantly kill them. (Also if Yog lies on his back in his bat form and he exposes his belly, that means you can pet all the floof).

While Yog is certainly a powerful entity, compared to the other nightmare residents, his power levels are only mid tier. He’s nowhere near as powerful as his companion Quachil, whom he treasures very much.

I'm gonna be honest I'm starting to warm up a bit to Yog. Also for some reason I hc that his personality is very different from Francis.

OHHH I like that similarity to your au Francis! Huh, he sounds really greedy like that. Reminds me of how in Tokyo Ghoul some ghouls eat way more humans than they need to survive simply because they like the taste.

Awwwww bat monster Yog sounds cute actually. He's a murderous bat but he's a *floofy* muderous bet and I would absolutely try to pet him.

Do you have any headcanons on Yog and Quachil's relationship? The more I think about it the more I like the thought of them not being related the way normal Francis and Anastacha is but still have some kind of bond (same goes with the rest of the nightmare residents. I used to be very adamant that they're all related the way the normal versions are but they don't have to be like that and nothing canon says suggest otherwise)

Found in Silence, These Things Unheard One Punch Man, Genos/Saitama, Rated M A getting together fic, based around Genos coping with temporary deafness. Foolish Pretenders Heaven Official's Blessing, Feng Xin/Mu Qing, Rated E Fake dating with added idiocy. Begin Again Tokyo Ghoul, Hide/Sasaki + others, Rated E Hide happens to see Sasaki, and is certain he's Kaneki. I was pleased with the vibe of Nightmare for All Seasons (Lost Souls, Steve/Ghost, Post-Canon, Rated T) and I have a soft spot for a whole bunch of my MDZS and OPM fics, but I was also super proud of Love is Sung in a Minor Key (Boueibu, Io/Ryuu + Akoya/Arima, Post-Canon/Bandman AU, Rated E) because I ended up not just writing fic, but lyrics too lol ...Neither of these fics are really good examples of the shit I usually write hahaha

If we are talking vampire AUs for hotd/f&b then allow me to share my own headcanon. I always envision vampirism only being passed down through childbirth through a Valyrian mother. This is extremely spicy because it means that all of Rhaenyra’s children are vampires while Alicent’s are just normal blonde children. Women like Aemma and Jocelyn also need to marry Valyrian men elsewise the magic in the blood would be too weak to produce vampire children. While this lends Rhaenyra more legitimacy, lords who are strict followers of the Seven are more preferring of the targtowers. They want Targaryens and dragon riders, but without the vampirism. I just love this idea because it would mess so badly with Aemond’s sense of superiority. He would be so resentful of Alicent for not making him a true Targaryen, but also he would still be brainwashed into partially thinking vampires are a sin against the Seven and the gods want the Hightowers to cleanse the Valyrian blood of it. On the other hand, there’s no possible way that Rhaenyra’s boys aren’t confident in their own skin. No one would dare utter bastard rumors when they legit are snackin on people for three square meals a day. Vamp!Luke and Human!Aemond is something we need.

Vampirism only being passed down from a Valyrian mother is genius. It makes a lot of sense for a verity of reasons considering the instances of stillborn Targ children having various dragon like treats which leads us to believe there’s a connection between Valyrian magic and the growth of a child in the womb. It lowkey gives me twilight vibes in this scenario considering vampiric children (in this case halfbloods) needing to feed on their mothers to ensure survival along with them having the strength to break ribs! In order to survive carrying a Valyrian/vampire child the mother needs to be one herself. Hence the Targtower kids being normal everyday children with silver hair.

I also like the idea of women needing to marry other Targ men as to not weaken it as you said, but also so the magic within them isn’t too widespread. You know? Can’t have every house out here claiming that shit too, that’s when things get messy. However, houses who are dedicated to the fate think vampirism is much too evil. Something that will eventually bring about ruin and lead to a sort of armageddon if you will.

This fucks with Aemond bad! His dedication to the faith and belief that those who are true Valyrian’s/ closer to old Valyria carry this vampiric treat are constantly fighting against one another. On one hand he begins to see the truth in his Hightower side telling him he and his siblings are superior because they’re true dragon riders without all the demonic filth muddling their blood but on the other he cracks open one of those old Valyrian lore books and sees the ultimate celebration of Vampires. The celebrations and coming of age rituals those who’ve inherited Vampirism are gifted that he nor his siblings have ever been allowed to have by both his mother AND because it would be seen as disrespectful to the culture as a whole.

For this AU I imagine Luke taking Aemond’s eye actually being a situation that nearly killed him. Perhaps these vampires don’t only drink blood but eat flesh as well. Very ghoul like (Tokyo Ghoul anyone?)

Imagine, the twins throw the first punch after Aemond claims Vhagar and draw blood almost immediately which in turns sets the Velaryon boys off. The girls can hold back Jace but don’t have the man power to keep little Lucerys back from taking a chunk out of his uncle…boom no eye. The fact that Luke not only blinded him but ATE some of his flesh and blood too? Oh the obsession is 10x worse.

thinking about my Tokyo Ghoul au I made for Danganronpa. It was meant to be kind of its own thing, not necessarily doing THH and not necessarily copying the plot beats of Tokyo Ghoul. Either way Makoto takes Kaneki’s place kind of, mainly bc when I read the opening I could not stop thinking about what supernaturally bad luck Kaneki had. And the way Kaneki ended up being the “bridge between two worlds” and represented justice and a means to an end for BOTH sides at different points gave me ‘Ultimate Hope’ vibes. At the same time Kaneki could EASILY be replaced with Hajime due to the conspiracy that Kaneki’s accident was done on purpose to basically experiment on someone to see if they could create the hope they needed. Only reason I didn’t jump to it is bc back then I was sticking Makoto in any scenario I wanted AND there’s another Tokyo Ghoul character that fits Hajime’s story. Anyway. I wanted to toy with the idea of someone who values life and helping others so deeply as Makoto being forced to do horrible things or else lose himself entirely. Becoming something you feared and only viewed as a monster until they revealed themselves to be people, but still horrified to find yourself in the middle. I think Makoto would have a unique reaction and I think he’d lean much more towards self sacrifice and helping try to get both sides to see each other’s humanity much faster than Kaneki did or Hajime would. But he’d also be ashamed and scared of what he’d become and desperate not to hurt anyone, which would be a disaster in the making as the longer a Ghoul goes without eating a person, the more beast like and unhinged they become. It’s not ALL that much different from a vampire au save the fact that there’s no option to just. get a little blood from a living person and leave them just slightly woozy or raid blood bags from donations. You HAVE to seriously injure someone or outright kill them to live, which is what separates the two.

How did you get into writing fanfiction?

I only ever started writing fanfiction last October, if we're talking official standalone stories from start to finish. Otherwise, I started writing on Neopets forums under 'roleplaying'. I was curious and it seemed really fun!

How many fandoms have you written in?

Again, official 'fanfiction' that I've written on my own and posted, technically it's only DC Comics and ACOTAR. If we're looking at my docs & roleplaying history, we would have to add Harry Potter, Pacific Rim, Pokemon, Attack on Titan, Marvel, Jujutsu Kaisen, Witcher, Tokyo Ghoul, Vampire Hunter D, etc.

How many years have you been writing fanfiction?

Eight months, officially. Writing overall, 20 years.

Do you read or write more fanfiction?

I write more fanfiction than I read. I struggle a lot with imposter syndrome and if I read things in my favourite fandom, I always feel like I can't possibly add to the beautiful stories that already exist. I need to be in a specific headspace to read, especially stories that are similar in content. I do love reading when I'm in a good mindset, though. Especially when I'm writing, I avoid reading so not to get influenced.

What is one way you've improved as a writer?

Write with better writers than myself, or writers who have vastly different styles. My writing partner has such a solid vocabulary and strong characterization whereas I'm more of a world-builder and lore-weaver. I've learned so much from her and she's pushed me to be better so she can have something equally as beautiful to read. I also started using beta readers, and that's been super helpful to learn more about my writing through the eyes of another.

Do you have any bad habits as a writer?

Overthinking and letting outside worries influence my writing. My best writing happens when I shut the world out, but I often overthink what my possible audience might say, or react negatively too. I'm currently blocked with several fics because I've posted them before I was done, and I'm afraid of disappointing my readers with every new update...

What's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?

So much medical research. My god, my characters get hurt way too much.

What's your favourite type of comment to receive on your work?

I love it when readers highlight their favourite parts, lines or characters from my work. I really want to discuss and be excited with readers, but I'm honestly happy with any and all comments!

What's the most fringe trope/topic you write about?

Crackships, crackships, crackships! Also, probably way too many AUs.

What is the hardest type of story for you to write?

Action scenes for sure, as well as smut. I've wanted to write long pure smut stories, but I just can't do it! I feel like as a writer, I get so caught up in the details that I can't feel my way through the story like I usually do.

What is the easiest type?

Short pieces that focus on emotion.

Where do you do your writing? What platform? When?

Right now, I have most of my work on GDocs, but I am actively writing/transitioning to @ellipsus-writes. I freaking love this platform and I can't wait to see how the features grow and evolve.

What is something you've been too nervous/intimidated to write, but would love to write one day?

More Batman stuff, for sure. I'm also currently too intimidated to finish anything right now.

oh yeah that one lmao

so I've always loved the world of tokyo ghoul because I just think it's really interesting, and a more 'monstrous' take on vampires in a way. I've always considered doing an au of it but never had any ideas for plot until recently.

tommy is a junior ccg investigator (the organization that hunts down ghouls) who was being mentored by wilbur, one of the youngest ever ccg investigators to reach first rank. despite tommy's less than stellar reputation from the academy, he and wilbur get along like a house on fire, and bond really really quickly. they're doing great in their investigations and things seem perfect-

until wilbur goes missing.

he disappears one day without a trace, and instead of letting their record get stained with assuming one of their most promising investigators got killed by a ghoul, the official report ends up concluding that he killed himself since he had a history of dealing with that kind of stuff. tommy calls bullshit though because while he knows wilbur had dealt with that stuff in the past, he knew wilbur better than anyone else and knows that wasn't what happened.

he gets reassigned under a new mentor—a special rank investigator named sam—and while he gets along fine with sam he's grieving wilbur and refuses to accept what the ccg told him. and as time goes on, when he's walking back to his apartment at night he feels like someone's following him. eventually he confronts his stalker and realizes its a ghoul. one who doesn't say a word but flees the second tommy turns on them instead of trying to fight. and the mystery starts to unravel from there.
