It may not be where I specifically grew up (which is a 40 minutes drive away), but everytime I go to Venice, I feel at home.
There's something about it I just can't find anywhere else. Not in Switzerland, where I live now, not in any other country I visited, not even in the countless Italian cities I visited in my life and adored with every fiber of my being.
Venice is breathtaking, magical and unique. It is destined to become the next Atlantis, so I strongly recommend visiting it before all that's left to see are pictures.
@ask-risorgimento-italy I've been to Venezia many times, but this was the first time after discovering your blog. I saw everything with different eyes haha. Please take this as a 'thank you' post for your incredible work 馃槏

Days of productivity: 2/100
Started taking Russian Literature classes! I have a class and a seminar, but there's too many of us in the class so we have to alternate weeks (some go one week, some another).
Also started doing some exercise again by attending a kickboxing class: the warm up was brutal, but practicing technique was fun and I can't wait for next Tuesday to arrive! Still not sure if I should also go play volleyball on Wednesdays, but we'll see tomorrow.

Castellana Grotte, Puglia (Italy).
There are guided tours in these caves, lasting up to 100 minutes. You can walk for 1.5 km (~1 mile) inside them while being 60-70 meters under the surface (200-230 ft)!

So sorry for the long absence, I was really stressed out by all my exams and now that I'm finally done, I'm briefly relaxing before getting a job to pay for more amazing travels like this one.
Anyway, here's some Como for you...

Another marvelous Apulian city, Polignano a Mare. This is where Domenico Modugno, singer of the famous Italian song "Nel blu dipinto di blu" (the "volare oooooh, cantare oooooh" song), was born!

Days of productivity: 4/100
Days of productivity and dates don't match because I didn't get to study much on Wednesday (mostly hang out with a friend) and Thursday (fell asleep while studying lol). However, I'm trying to pick up the habit of waking up early, as in, before 6 a.m., to study while the rest of the city is asleep. So far so good. I'm truly amazed by the sense of peace early morning darkness leaves me with. Best time to study imho!
Also tomorrow's my birthday and I'm having brunch with friends and family, but maybe I'll manage to study even just a little bit too... Stay tuned :)
Notes are from my Computer Networks class!

Orvieto's Cathedral (Duomo di Orvieto), one of Italy's Gothic architecture masterpieces. It's two chapels have been decorated with images of Judgement Day by some of the most talented Italian artists, who partly based themselves on Dante Alighieri's "Divine Comedy" regarding the depiction of Heaven and Hell.

Aaaand I'm back!
Feeling super happy with newest addition, a notebook from Leuchtturm 1917.
It's been a rough year for every single person on this planet, so I decided to buy a green one, for in Italy we say "verde speranza", which literally translates to "green (of) hope".
I actually can't wait for university to start again, I'm feeling kinda restless with nothing much to do... :-/ At least I'll be working next week, and after that my mind (and this blog, hopefully) will be active again on a daily basis!

Days of productivity: 1/100
Back again! What better way than to start this semester with the "100 days of productivity" challenge? Hopefully it will help in keeping me motivated and disciplined, I really need to improve this trait of mine.
Also, so happy to finally be able to use my study tracker again! I know I didn't really do much today, but there's still not that much to study... Though I did already peek at the next class' material :)
Starting tomorrow with Slavic Literature and Computer Networks!
