I don’t get why some people just don’t understand what Amalia and Yugo have in common.

I get that they’re not yumalia shippers but you don’t have to be one to notice the similarities.

Cuz they got TONS in common let me tell you that.

(This is just a quick list I came up with so I pretty much just wrote everything that came to my mind when thinking about these two. I’m pretty sure they got much more things in common than the things I wrote down so I’ll write more later on.)

They are both stubborn.

They both have abrasive big brothers.

They both love adventures and want to spend some more time adventuring rather than staying in one place and ruling.

They both tend to do anything else but do their duties as princess/King.

They both love their people and have stated that they would do anything for them.

They both have a personal love for Boofbowl.

They both love nature and want to preserve its beauty by protecting it in their own way.

They’re both the type to kid around with their friends.

They don’t like violence and think it’s barbaric. (Yugo’s a protector while Amalia’s the type to feel disgusted in violence if there’s no point to it.)

They were both the youngest members of the Brotherhood.

They used to have an older member of the Brotherhood who served as their guardian (The guardians being Ruel and Eva).

Their big brothers got significantly worse as the years went by partly as a result of a horned woman's manipulations (The women being Aurora and Echo).

They are both labelled by their respective people as their warrior and protector.

Their people have also suffered the most out of the many inhabitants in the World of Twelve. The entire Eliatrope backstory is one disaster after the other, and the Sadida kingdom has been targeted by Nox, suffered Ogrest's chaos the most, and they’re now one of the Necromes’ main targets.

They are extremely dependent on wakfu, both cannot live without it. If there was no wakfu energy on the planet, Amalia would turn into a tree and Yugo would rapidly grow older before dying when he reaches an age that is too old to live at.

They both lost their older brothers during a life-threatening situation.

They both came from an original source they cannot live without. For Amalia, it’s the Tree of Life and for Yugo, it’s his dofus.

Even the things OUTSIDE of their common traits like their races oddly looks coincidentally the same too.

They both have emitter powers.

Both of their gods are creation based (Eliatrope Goddess is the sole creator, she created the source of all life called Wakfu, while Sadida created nature itself in the World of Twelve.)

Both of their gods took part in creating the dofus (Eliatrope Goddess danced with the Great Dragon to make the six eliatrope dofus, while Sadida made ten Sadida dolls to charm the primordial dragons in order to make the six primordial dofus.)

Rating Wakfu Couple

3/10 Ogrest X Dathura (canon)

These two are not meant to be in a romantic relationship. Possibly, even with another person. These two are no more that newborns, they have no understanding of what it is to be in this type of relationship. But I found it perfect to be in the same family. They both need love and acceptance. Dathura is therefore more of a big sister than a love interest.

5/10 Eva X Tristepin

I just think that their relationship beginnings (season 1 and season 2) took turns too tight. Their early relationship is really pushed by the authors that at first we wondered: "but why they are together"

At my level, it had them to become parents to look like a couple that is made to last. Until the end or the sad past catches up with them.

6/10 Chibi X Mina (canon)

Calm down at first and know that this couple is CANON and I find it beautiful. I love mythological stories, and in my books when your parents created the universe, you’re going to marry one of your sibling to lead your people and create a world.

And these two have father and mother’s lives for their other brothers and sisters, and for their people.

7/10 Poo X Kali (canon)

Seen in the manga Ogrest. Impossible to expand too much on why without spoiling the story. But these two have a common background and their personality balances perfectly.

7/10 Qilby X Chibi

What better for absolute curiosity than the absolute inventor.

For better understanding of they dinamyc I find this fic resuming all the possibility

(I will not make them all would become a little uniquity otherwise)

8/10 Amalia X Yugo (canon)

Season 4 had to exist and the webtoon took over for me to catch the inter of these two. Even if I have seen this couple build little by little, I find that they have not had enough emblematic or more significant moments. Yes I think of the marriage with Harebourg, if the guy had not had a spider on the ceiling, it would be Amalia X Harebourg in this place and they would have a lower score.

9/10 Qilby X Otomaï

At first, we find the same qualities present as if Qilby was with Chibi. But with a worship more turned towards the future. If he had a deeper redemptive bow, it would be a perfect choice.

Moreover Otomai having taken in complexity in the manga Ogrest and not only in good. But unlike Qilby he tries to learn from his mistakes, the important thing is to try. The idea of seeing these two go a long way together is rather comforting

10/10 Alia X Bordegann (canon)

Perfect fairy tale couple. If we touch their happiness of this little couple I going to be very upset. 👩🏻‍❤️‍💋‍👨🏻

11/10 Noximillien X Galante (canon)

Galante loved her husband and it broke her to go away from him, but she put their child’s life before her happiness. Also, if the chaos of Ogrest had not prevailed, Nox would NEVER have seen the light of day. But it’s their love that makes Nox the best villain we’ve ever had.

20/10 Nora X Amalia

I quickly fell in love with this possible couple. Who in addition to filling the gaps between yumalia and a strong couple. At first, I’m a little biased because Nora, one of my favorite characters from the game on XBOX (2011), not to mention the fears that this character is ruined. She had finally returned. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ (She is doomed but snif) BUT the possibility of these two warrior princesses exists and being together is really my absolute (in this ranking)

How did you come up with the idea of a Ballerina reader for ꔫ L'autunno?

Coming up with L'autunno was really easy!! I was just listening to my classical music playlist (yes, i'm that person w 30 playlists I fear) and then Vivaldi's L'autunno Allegro came on. Looking at the title, I immediately thought of Eris and Nesta's waltz and wondered what type of music he would like- would the Autumn Court value their creative/performing arts as much as Velaris? (basically L'autunno is one big headcannon that went out of control, but I'm falling in love with writing it so I can't stop, I fear.) As for the ballerina, I've always wanted to be a dancer myself (nothing ever came to fruition) so I decided to let reader dance bc we all deserve to feel beautiful!!

What's something you want to see eris say or do in future books?

 In future books? I want Eris to reunite with Lucien! I want the Vanserras to stick together, bc I know damn well that LOA did not suffer all of this abuse for her children to not get along!! (keeping in mind, i am aware of the traditions in the Autumn Court but surely we can start breaking cycles or smth!!) perhaps this is asking too much but SJM, can we PLEASE have some LOA + Eris wholesome moments please please pLEASE can one of your characters have a good relationship w their parents in ACOTAR 🫶🏼

What ballet do you think Eris loves watching the most?

 OMG I love this- I referred to it slightly in the earlier chapters of L'autunno but I think Eris would love Swan Lake because of his mother!! whatever version it is, I think he'd love them all (I associate a lot of pieces in Swan Lake with Eris)

Where in Prythian do you think Eris likes to vacation and why?

 I'd like to imagine that there is this MASSIVE lake in the Autumn Court that Eris has not a manor, but a humble little cottage at!! Eldest son, daddy issues, loves his Mama, you're gonna look me in the eye and tell me he DOESN'T have a place for just him that isnt unnecessarily glitzy and glamorous?? Undertale Sans - Sure, whatever. You swear he used blue magic on himself before you try. You can't lift him off the floor, even with force. He's just winking at you, asking if there's a problem. Or maybe a short person can't lift another short person. Perhaps you two are cancelling each other capacity to do so. You frown. That's clearly bullshit, is it?

Underswap Sans - Hell no, but he will gladly do it himself before you can say anything. You're suddenly flying and screaming, holding for dear life, as Blue is running in an approximation direction, having no view of the scene. You both crash violently into poor Honey who was just standing there. Great job.

Underfell Sans - He hisses, offended, and goes to put in a corner. Who do you think he is? He's not some puppet you can walk when you want. That's humiliating. He's too big for you anyway.

Horrortale Sans - You're trying to lift him again and again. He's just looking down at you wondering what you're doing down there. He lifts a leg to please you, confused, but that's quite the only thing you're going to carry lol.

Swapfell Sans - He raises a brow at you. "WHY?" "I don't know, just let me!" "NO? THAT'S STUPID AND YOU'RE GOING TO FIND A WAY TO MESS THAT UP." You grab him anyway. He claws the couch, holding to it for dear life as you're trying to drag him away by his pelvis. Rus enters and looks at Nox. "BROTHER, HELP ME!" Rus puts his two hands on Nox's hands then slowly gets down to whisper into his ear "long live the king" "OH RUS YOU BITCH" and then Rus unhooks his brother's hands from the sofa, letting you drag him away. Nox will remember that. Nox will remember that very much.

Fellswap Gold Sans - "NO" and then he yeets you by the window with his magic to be sure you're not tempted to do it anyway. Here you go. He goes back to whatever he was doing like nothing happened.

I originally planned a longer ending but i got tired, cut me some slack.

It's not unusual for Clorinde to show up at his doorstep once the summer holidays have started. Infact, she's been doing it ever since her second year had ended. Not that Nox minds, he likes to spend time with his sister, even if it wasn't always like that. But ever since the Battle of Hogwarts in her second year, Clorinde started showing up at his residence a week into her summer holidays to stay over. So here she stands again, fresh out of fifth year, a small yet tired smile on her usually stoic face and a trunk next to her.

Greeting her with an exhausted smile of his own, he lets his sister into his house. "Tiresome year?", he asks with a chuckle. "Yeah, fifth year was hell for me too. I think it was also the year I drank the most." The young man says, using a levitation charm on his sister's trunk without an incarnation - not that he'd be able to pronounce it anyway, hence the voiceless magic. "You drank?" Clorinde looks at him with scepticism, it was clear she found it hard to believe.

"I was, uh, quite the drunkard back in the days.", Nox admits, allthough rather sheepishly. With the trunk floating infront of him, he makes his way up the stairs. "Anyway, I'll bring your stuff upstairs. If you're hungry, I can make you your favourite."

It was around maybe 11 or 12 o'clock into the night when Nox was laying in his backyard, spending the warm, clear summer night with stargazing. It was pretty calming too. The soft sounds of a cricket chirping somewhere, the rhythmic sound of his Kneazle hurled up next to him and purring... He could fall asleep, if his mind wasn't occupied already.

So much had changed in his life after the Secondary Wizarding War. Not long after it took place, he got into an incident that partially lost him his eyesight, he quit his job because of that and his best friend just- disappeared. And it's not like he wasn't relieved about the win over Voldemort, it's just the constant paranoia and left over stress that's gnawing on him. What if he wouldn't have been able to protect his sister during the war? What if she would've died and he couldn't have done anything to prevent it? Those constant thoughts were eating him alive, and that even though it's been three years.

The sound of his garden door sliding open is what brings him back into the world. "Can't sleep?", Nox asks his sister in a gently voice, knowing that she too still mentally suffered from the war. "I need your comfort."

Concern immediately strikes him at the tone of her voice. It was quiet and accompanied by a few sniffles. Had she been crying?

Not hesitating for even a second he holds out his arm and pats the space next to himself, signaling for Clorinde to come closer. "Wanna tell me what's wrong?", the man inquiries carefully once she was on the ground next to him, her head resting on his warm chest.

And with another short sniffle, the fifteen year old started to spill out her worries to him. How her so called "friends" still hate her for her reckless decision to fight in the war despite being told not to, how much school stresses her out and how she's starting to feel so confused about her sexuality. And Nox listened, his hand playing with her long brown locks, waiting for her to finish so he could give her advice in a caring, brotherly way.

It's moments like those that the siblings appreciated the most. Moments of peace were it's just you and the person you trust. The person of whom you know that they'll be there for you in times of need.

Both know they'll forever cherish their momentarily peace together, forever cherish the bond they have.

And Nox made that clear when he softly kissed her head, whispering the reassuring words "I'll be here, right with you. I'm your brother after all."

Okay, what is the Bonds The Tie series? I'm here, tell me about it.

Ok how do I explain The Bonds that Tie! It's reverse harem, one girl, five guys. Oli, the main character, is part of a people called the gifted, who have all different powers/abilities and something called bonds. Who are essentially soulmates/people who you're destined to be with/who are meant to be perfect for you. There are are two types, bonds and central bonds (Oli is a central bond) who have between 2 and 5 bonds connected to them.

Anyway Oli has been on the run for the last 5 years *for reasons* which is basically unheard of in her society because people want to be with their bonds and be fully bonded with them (you become fully bonded with your bonds by having sex and it strengthens your powers, and your connection with the other person)

So North Draven (who is a total controlling pyschopath, you won't be able to stand him at first but then you'll love him) (There's also his brother Nox who is also a total jerk, but in a completely different way then North. Gryphon, my fave. Gabe, who kinda has Ithan vibes?? he's a shifter and a bit of a cutie once he get's past his grump stage. And Atlas, who is my least fave but he's the only one who's nice to Oli right from the start, so he get's points for that. But he also calls her "sweetness" and look I love a pet name but I just don't vibe with this one for some reason, so I think that's mostly why he's my least fave lol. Do I sometimes have completely arbitrary reasons for how I feel about characters, yes, but it is what it is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) So anyway North Draven is super rich and has lots of resources at his disposal (he's always looking super hot in his Tom Ford suits and Rollex's. You'd like his style) and has Oli tracked down and dragged back. She's not happy about it. The guys are grumpy that she ran away. Angst, drama, danger and sex ensues. Oh and extended found family, which is always a good trope!

Is it the best the series ever written, maybe not, it has a few continuarity errors. But did I enjoy it, did I get hooked on it, and couldn't put down, yes!

Ps. Don't even ask me how she handles five guys. Having to satisfy five dicks. That is too much! Girl must be tired!

(Hi everyone! Mod Goomy here! So, 300 followers. That is absolutely wild to me. I know I still had my 200 follower event but I’m gonna be honest with you, I kinda ran outta steam on that one. I’m really sorry but it was just a lot for me to draw. I feel bad because when I first began it, I wanted to do it. I really did. But, things kept happening and that meant I couldn’t draw for it and I’ve just kinda lost interest. Sorry. I’m definitely not very good when it comes to big continuous events like that.

Anyway. 300 followers. Hi hello. That’s is a lot of followers. I’m genuinely just incredibly thankful that so many of you want to follow me. I'll go over just some bits on how I started this blog and some things I want to say.

This blog started out because I needed a creative outlet for my story telling. Especially with the stories I was listening to, there were some that were very character-driven and I loved all of their interactions and how they would react to the world around them. I used to run a dnd campaign and I was still missing doing that.

So, that’s when I started planning my own ask blog. The main event that inspired me to do it in this style was the giant event that @/askthetraveller did with their rayquaza and what @/asksavel did with fighting Dravol. I’d been following the traveller since the beginning of their blog and when savel was a gastly, before the mod decided to have a break in their story. Those events just seemed like so much fun. And I loved the fact that they brought the community together where everyone could join in and be a part of it.

It was wonderful to see and it inspired me to want to be a part of this community. This wonderful community filled with so many incredible and kind people. You all inspire me and encourage me to keep going. You all fill me with that excitement of wanting to continue. The reactions I have gotten to Destino have been so much fun.

The wild variation of relationships Destino has been able to build with some of your characters has been great. From being enemies with Snow and Galadriel hating Destino's guts, to Gizmo and Indigo playing along and sharing in the banter too. I love how each character has such a different reaction to Destino.

And my other characters too. Felix, Hope, Mistress Mirage, King Nox and Queen Karma, the Bisharp brothers Roy and Hershel. I have so much fun showing them all to you and how they interact with you all.

Speaking of that Absol, Destino was originally inspired by my dnd character Xave. Xave was a rich, stuck-up and egotistical bastard who only cared for himself. He was inspired by the bastard characters I'd seen and liked in media. So, I wanted another bastard character.

At first, Destino started as just an absol drawing. And then I drew them with more personality. And it began to fall in place. What was this character's name? Backstory? What adventure would I want them to go on? And then the cogs started turning. A story started being made with story beats being planned out. Other kingdoms stared to fall into place and suddenly I had this whole world where I knew I wanted to turn it into an ask blog. I was excited. I was talking to my partner about it and they were asking world-building questions I'd never think of.

This was in October last year. Destino character has definitely changed a bit since I first created them. Still an ass back then but was definitely a bit more friendly and a huge nerd. I'm glad I changed that because of how well you've taken Destino. I took a pause from my world and the creation of it until the end of December. I looked at it again and all of the stuff I had done for it and said to myself, "I wish I had turned this into an ask blog."

And then it clicked that I could still do that. What was stopping me? Anxiety. That was what. I asked my partner if they thought I should start it. And they said, "Yes. If that's what you want to do. I'll even push the button for you to make it if that's what will get you going." And then it was made. And I was busy drawing my very first post.

And it took off from there. I met loads of people, enjoyed the interactions I was having and started to really enjoy myself. It was nice just to be able to get my ideas down.

And I still am. I still am enjoying each and every moment. This is the longest I have consistently enjoyed a project like this. So, thank you all. Thank you to each and every one of you who like, reblog, comment, send an ask or even just look at my posts. I truly do appreciate you all.

And I truly appreciate the people I speak with in this community too. This community has definitely changed my life for the better. I'm so happy to be a part of it. I feel the community is in a really good place at the moment. I'm aware that in the past, it has had its troubles. But, as someone who's only joined this year, it has been a fantastic and kind place to be. And seeing apparent veterans of the community also coming back, this truly is a good year for ask blogging. I mean, you've all definitely been a good influence on myself as a newbie.

And with how this is going, I hope I can continue to be a part of it for years to come. I've got a huge story planned (three arcs (with arc one split into two parts) with stuff in between (kinda filler and kinda character development)) and hope I can take you on a fun (and perhaps sometimes emotional) journey with you all. April 18th, 1998

Matthew Hall and his little brother Devon had gone to the edge of the woods to pick up flowers to gift to their step-sister Jasmine, who had fallen ill just a few days ago.

Normally they wouldn't dare delve deeper into the forest, no still sane person in Nox did, for everyone knew all too well that the violent, unprovoked beast attacks were far more frequent in such isolated and wild areas.

But something caught Devon's attention just as they were about to leave, and he urged Matthew to take a look. It was a woman's dead body, so horrendously disembowelled that it couldn't have been the doing of another human being.

Devon was handling the sight better than Matthew imagined, not looking like he'd throw up despite still visibly scared and shaking. Matthew noticed that there was something else, someone else in the nearby clearing. A man, possibly the woman's husband, with his body mangled beyond recognition, and with so many exposed innards that he needed to cover his little brother's eyes before he could land an eye on the mutilated corpse.

They rushed back home and informed their step-father, and fortunately the police officer on the other hand believed their story. They didn't know what the authorities did with the cadavers, but they could only hope those two had been given a proper burial.

It was 10 P.M when an old and clearly overused jeep made an abrupt stop on the road near a woodland.

Cousins Tabitha and Virgil McKeon had once again stolen their now gone grandfather's car to escape from their family all the way back in the farmlands of Diane, just far away enough that they could carry on their secret affair.

They had escaped to Hemera for the first few months, but as people began to recognize them, the fear that the truth would reach their family struck and they had to change plans.

They would have never stopped around Nox, save for if a gas station was needed, instead, they simply intended to use the county's empty roads to have an easier access to Muscatine. But luck hadn't been on their side this night. The car died in the middle of the road, and Virgil couldn't find the reason for it, already setting off Tabitha's bad mood.

Against better judgement, Virgil decided that a small romantic escapade inside the woods wouldn't hurt.

"Let's just enjoy the romantic moment, Tabby, the forest isn't so bad"

"Sure, very romantic. We're as good as lost in this dead county, while your poor sweet Jessica is fast asleep all the way back in Sander's Vale, completely unaware that her handsome Gigi is cheating on her"

"Oh come on, honey, I already told you: my parents set us up and she never meant anything to me. You're so much more beautiful than-"

A sudden loud noise cut Virgil off. It sounded like a twig being crushed, but also like bones fracturing outside of a person's body.

The secret couple stayed silent and still for many seconds that felt like hours, preparing for if they needed to run for their lives. Nothing happened after that.

Finally, Tabitha found her voice again. "Do you think it's a bear?" She whispered, terrified and pale as snow.

Virgil didn't answer and instead started slowly approaching the spot he believed had been where the noise had come from. Shaking slightly, he looked down behind the tall bushes.

Just a pigeon skeleton. 'It must have fallen down a tree or something', he thought to himself.

With his fear now gone, he turned around back to Tabitha with his usual confidence back, like nothing had happened at all.

"Don't worry, baby, it's nothing to worry about-"

Something jumped on top of him, something that almost looked like a wolf, but so large it couldn't have been one. Its growls sounded like three car motors all at the same time, being only drowned out by Virgil's pained and horrified screams as the creature tried to bite into him.

Tabitha couldn't help but let a large scream escape her throat at the sight, and she ran as fast as her legs could handle, but she didn't get very far after the creature realized it didn't actually want any witnesses.

The police contacted their family, who in shame, didn't even bother to pay for gravestones, leaving the two to rot in shallow graves inside the cemetery.

I’m pretty sure I’ve already said it but I do think that while manhwa!Lucas did say he would destroy the world if anyone were to kill Athy + that everyone says he would follow Claude’s path (killing everyone + freezing his heart + erasing his memories), I don’t think Lucas would actually do it?? Because yeah Claude and Lucas are really, really similar (in their back stories + personalities) but also (novel!)Lucas promised himself that he would never end like his master (not being able to stand his loved ones’ deaths) but also because that’s just not how he is. When the Athykiel dimension!Athy chose Ijekiel, Lucas never did something about it (like Claude did when Diana chose to give birth over living with him) and Athy doesn’t even seem aware of his feelings for her. He just accepted that was how things were going to be and silently stayed by her side (even telling her that after all, he is her only friend and telling himself that she would forever be his special someone) and respected her choice (he didn’t even try to pick a fight with Ijekiel like everyone would expect him to) but also also because Lucas just wants to do what Athy wants him to or would want him to because he always has her best interest in mind (in the novel, asking lily and Felix to keep an eye on her so that she doesn’t spend too much time with blackie, getting the world tree’s branch for her and Claude, giving her Nox, in the manhwa helping her with the ritual, sparing Anastasius, saying sorry to Aeternitas, etc etc etc etc) and wants to respect her wishes and opinions (see for example the fact that even after ALL novel!Aeternitas did he didn’t kill him). Also in the very improbable and hypothetical situation that Athy dies during childbirth, I very highly doubt that he’d ever resent their child given that 1) it’s his child 2) it’s Athy’s child 3) it’s their baby (in the novel) 4) he knows how much Athy suffered because of Claude’s actions and wouldn’t repeat them 5) he was also resented and isolated as a child because of accidentally hurting a family member (his older brother) as a baby and knows first hand of unfair that kind of treatment is and *someone duck tapes my mouth shut* MGTMRNMMMh…..

Hihihihi!!! Gonna get thru these questions little by little and hopefully I will not end up with too long of a post. Thank you for these, by the way. You are an angel.

What's a normal day entail for Lucien?

I feel like that would depend on your concept of 'normal day'. If he is not off on a mission somewhere, then he is gathering intel for that same mission. His days will not differ much: it is a lot of looking over documents and strategies, a lot of either blending in or sticking to the shadows (preferably the latter). Other things during downtime includes mech maintenance, and checking in on Christine's status and probably performing some kind of back up on her. His 'normal days' revolve around fighting, and for him that is alright. The less he has to worry about things, the better. He's a surprisingly boring man with no hobbies to call his own. So you can think of him taking care of Iron Maiden (his mech) his hobby. It's his entire life. He spends most of his time inside anyway, studying on stratagems or reading files about his current/next mission.

Nox fold his socks or just keep them in the laundry basket?

He folds his socks and all of his clothes and puts them away with great discipline. He is a good boy. He is an older brother also, so I think these things just come naturally to him.

If he could make his own conditioner, would he?

Implying he doesn't already --- he lives in a post-apocalyptic world. Cue him chopping some aloe to use on his hair. That's probably why it looks so good.

Does Lucien have a favorite flora?

Yellow hibiscus. I guess the answer would be that it 'was' his favorite flower. Used to get a bouquet of them every time from his fiancé, who said Lucien brought him happiness--much like these flowers. Lucien cannot bear to look at them nowadays.

What do Lucien and Nox never leave their homes without?

For Lucien, it is Christine (think of it as a small drone/doll that acts as his assistant and companion/co-pilot for his mech) and the small flash plug that carries her casket/data that he keeps with him at all times. For Equinox, it is his sword.

What's in their pockets?

Nox carries candy, but not for himself. It's one of the things he will just hand out to you if you ask him for it, but it is hard since 1) You really don't think he'd carry this kind of stuff on him and 2) He does not tell you. He also carries basic weapon maintenance equipment.

For Lucien, it's not really his pockets but on his person -- a revolver, modified to look like it is vintage or antique while still keeping its usability and a small knife. Both if he needs to get in combat out of his mech and he needs some time to get to it - or simply deal with things out in the field. Has no personal belongings.

Hello! I discovered you through your many nyx ulric aus on ao3. If you don't mind my asking, are there any favorites among the many you've made, and would you be willing to share your thoughts on them? Hope you're doing well!

Oh gosh a favorite or favorites? asdflkjasdf I love them all for different reasons. Are we talking strictly Nyx Ulric AUs, strictly ffxv aus or just- my AUs in general. Because all of those have super different answers XD.

I think Deleantur and Nox will always be in my top 5 fics I'm most proud of for any category ever. I just- worked so hard on them, and put so much effort into them and they *took off* in a way I genuinely never expected. Deleantur especially was- so interesting to write on a technically level? An exercise in *completely* separating what I knew as an author of Noctis's circumstances to view him from an outsiders pov in Somnus, Ardyn, and Aera and not only look at how he must seem in this era to outsiders but also how two different people looking at the same person can see and will notice different things. Ardyn is a healer, he sees the hurts, Somnus is a warrior, he sees the madness and danger. Then both of them come to see Deleantur as the person and it was just-. I am so proud of this story. Nox I am proud of for very similar reasons, the outsider povs, the fixiting, the clues sprinkled in and how they can be misunderstood.

For strictly Nyx Ulric centric- probably Calling for Rain and Somnyx aus. Calling for Rain because using characters of wildly different cultures as a lens to view the same story is a very fun trope for me to play with, and also because I'm proud of how well people have taken to my undeniably weird crossover. I'm taking a character, multiple characters, from a Final Fantasy movie and putting them in a world of ninja and it's blending beautifully imo.

Somnyx on the other hand I loved writing (and do still want to come back to someday) because of how I get to play with themes of remorse, regret, forgiveness, and sacrifice. It's not just "oh this character did something evil" it's regret, and it's more than regret too, it's regret so strong that with the magic of the world he *comes back* to try to make right his wrong. I loved writing the one with him and Ardyn, because it's so tense from both sides, and I get to play, again, with the blind spots of both characters. Ardyn is not expecting anyone to try to save him, because he was always the one doing the saving and he was left for dead and betrayed for it. Somnyx doesn't even *consider* that his brother would forgive him or want to know his reasons for saving him, because Somnyx can't forgive himself. And then they are both surprised, and I liked doing that. I like playing with how characters view the world around them, and how I can use *that* to wring out as much emotion as possible from a scene or setting or story. Among lots of other tropes I adore playing with.

scruggs: he absolutely fucking cannot dance but he likes doing that like. slow sway, occasionally spin partner, kind of dancing. i think his sisters used to make him do that a lot. and i think he has a good singing voice but for like. deep rousing tavern songs kind of singing

brandi: she cannot sing or dance if her life depended on it and that doesnt stop her from trying

scruggs: just like. a really nice homemade meal shared with family

brandi: she would probably say something like a really finely crafted weapon or something but i think the real answer is a sunrise after youve been up all night and your brain is a little foggy but you just feel so at peace and chill. is like his real answer

scruggs: i think a grizzly bear. big, intimidating, aggressive if you mess with them, but also really caring and protective and if youre on their good side quite cuddly and soft

scruggs: its a little hard for scruggs as waylon's bodyguard because he has to keep up the appearance that he's angry when people are acting like dicks around waylon (which is often because waylon is an utter bitch of an old man) but generally he finds it pretty amusing. but like. when people make any sort of remarks about his family he can get set off pretty easily. he is ,, a Tad overprotective over lizzie and kelsey much to their chagrin

brandi: brandi has so so much anger that is so so incredibly repressed that she just doesn't realize she's feeling it ever

nox: bo has literally so so much affection for nox so when they didnt talk for a while he was genuinely so emo about it. nox is his little guy!!! he's just so used to people being mad at him for things that when they had the crush convo bo was like. i couldnt have changed the outcome of this but now nox is gonna hate me <33 so was trying to give nox space and when nox didnt initiate bo was like. okay i was right. but now that they've finally talked i think bo is still a little Skittish but like. just loves nox so dearly. and is so keen on protecting him and supporting them any way he can. i think of all the party members bo is the most Sweet On nox. just very Affectionate

kai: kai is his brother!!!!! like for so long family Only meant his mom to bo. which is part of why he was like. so unable to see how bad she was and leave. she was All He Had. and so after finding bubba and rosie and like. finally letting himself grow closer to kai in that way. he realized that his family could look a lot different than he ever thought it could. kai is his brother which means he's the perfect person to piss bo off but also he would so die for them in a fucking heartbeat. he can finally like. kind of get back some of his teenage years with them and like. just have some fun? Boy Time. he's trying not to mother hen kai so bad but. it's something he's still learning

nettle: speaking of mother henning. bo wants to soooooo bad. nettle is so wet cat core and its so obvious she's been having a Rough Go that he genuinely wants to do everything he can to support her but is struggling because she clearly Doesnt Want That. so he's kind of at a loss for what to do and just tries to make himself Present. or does things like makes a ton of different kinds of cookies to sus out what her favorite ones are. he's simply like. i will adopt her i just need to not have her run into the woods first. and i think he's started opening up to her like. Undertale Sans - He's kinda relieved. You are the first person he met who had troubles with Papyrus after more than a few days and it was starting to make him a little bit anxious. He really didn't know what to do to make you two closer. He's glad he didn't have to do anything. He just smiles at you two and lets you play or whatever you're doing.

Underswap Papyrus - He could understand why you were not a big fan of his brother, as he can be overwhelming, but he was quite sad it didn't work. Until today apparently. He's so confused when he goes home from the grocery store and finds you two laughing on the couch. Did he miss something? Oh well, at least it's getting better between you two! He smiles and goes to bake some cookies to celebrate the end of this stressful situation!

Underfell Sans - Uh. You finally tamed him. Well, that was doomed to happen. Red knows Edge well too much and he knew his little act of hating you was all fake. He was just testing the waters. Apparently, the fact you have a cat played a lot in this too as you are both petting S/O's kitty and Edge has literal stars in the eyes. Damn, if he knew, Red would have gifted you a cat sooner.

Horrortale Sans - He's a bit confused when he comes home and suddenly you're the best of friends with Willow, but with his head, he wonders if he didn't hallucinate you hating Willow. I mean, come on, who could hate Willow anyway? He acts like he pretends he knows you two are friends. None of you buy his bullshit but whatever is pleasing him!

Swapfell Papyrus - He was a bit nervous as Nox has his faces. When he likes you, he likes you, when he hates you, he doesn't hesitate to show it, and quite honestly, Rus thought he hated you and was fine with it. But apparently, a Christmas miracle happened along the way because he's actually drinking tea with you, which means he thinks you are worthy of his interest. You still have a lot of road to be friends, but that's a first step. Rus comes and ruins everything by teasing his brother (and you).

Fellswap Gold Papyrus - Wait... Wine... likes you??? Coffee is shocked. Wine hates everyone. And when he says everyone, it's everyone. Coffee never saw him act friendly towards someone. Is he ill? Should he call Undyne for help? Coffee is not sure what to do now that he's actually friendly with you and not trying to kill you. Is he supposed to sit and relax? You're both giving him even more anxiety than when you hated each other!

who's your newest oc?

Tarum (they/he)! Here's a pic of them in a genshin impact pose lol

There's a trio in SUL characters that are infamous for being purple and having bad development issues lmao

- Violae, who I've never been happy with her design (I'd love to give her more Venti Genshin Impact vibes without outright stealing the design yknow? Honestly the best outfit she's ever had Was in fact a Venti costume I drew her in 😭😭)

- Amethyst, who I've never been happy with her personality (She's difficult to pinpoint because purple is very good for SYMBOLISM but very tough for me to pinpoint as an explicit character without making her prideful or too mysterious)

- Aaand Lavender, who I've never been happy with her backstory

Lavender was so interchangable in terms of her role but NOT interchangable in the way I developed her.

In a world that can be separated between huemans and Paladins, it was even difficult to pinpoint WHAT she actually was.

Leading up to her eventual scrapping, I was stuck in my own head trying to find ANY Greek mythology figure that was

1.) Attached to any gods I've deemed a "light god"

2.) Attached to a specific /color/ because Lavender's role needed to be hueman-passing

3.) Would make sense for her being 2000 years old, aka taking place in SUL's... inciting event?

However I couldn't find ANYTHING that would have made sense to help revamp Lavender. The main idea of Lavender would've been that she'd be the Medea to Violetta's Circe, and that she'd have a special connection to Amethyst

So Lavender herself as a character was very :/ because of how uncompelling I found her but her role is pretty ESSENTIAL to SUL anyway; there NEEDS to be a "Guardian of the Paladins", especially with that role being able to connect with how special Amethyst is

At one point I heavily considered making any of the fake Paladins canon, but I didn't use the specific Magenta/Mint/Lime Paladins that they were because

1.) Magenta's a pretty modern color and the Guardian of the Paladins would need to be someone old

2.) ...I don’t like the color green and didn't think it'd fit for the role wifhwkjv

However there was one last ace-card of wiggle room I could do before... idk, begging my beta readers for help with what to do 😭😭

In SUL lore, the line between... well, "Sonic Colors meets End of Evangelion" and "The first era of the modern Paladins, the Era of Conquest" were pretty blurred due to Lavender's existence; she would have been made during the former, but had some lore in the latter

BUT, my ass worldbuilded too much... to my own benefit

Ysee, the Violet Paladin of the Conquest era was originally JUST meant to be a reference to another OC of mine from a different universe, Lux Rainbowflare from ETSS

In SUL, the first modern Violet Paladin is called "Prima" in legends

But what I HADNT considered... Lux has a twin brother. Nox.

See the resemblance to Tarum?

What I realized in terms of ETSS is that... Nox really doesn't have a lot of substance despite being the TWIN BROTHER of the PROTAGONIST, so I decided to use him as a basis for the Guardian of the Paladins because he's simply never been developed before in his own universe, so why not make his SUL counterpart a fix-it fic for him?

So at some point I settled on making the new Guardian of the Paladins a NEW Paladin, like the fake Paladins I linked above; however, they'd be INDIGO colored, so they'd be a quarternary color, which was different and possible enough in the worldbuilding to do because the MAIN Paladins have a strict Primary -> Secondary -> Tertiary color system, so they'd immediately been an outcast but still make sense because Indigo huemans do exist and have a different hue identity from typical Blues and Violets (Nila and Peri J. both consider themselves Indigo souls)

So, using the lore of Prima + the lore of the general Violet Paladin, placing the Guardian of the Paladins in the Era of Conquest rather than strictly Origins era would've fixed one of Lavender’s vices by making them old enough to mentor future Paladins, but young enough to not know anything about the ORIGINAL Paladins

Being a twin to Prima, the first Modern Violet Paladin, would also give the Guardian that connection to the Violet Paladin that is REALLY needed to help benefit Amethyst's character and her arc

So, here's what I came up with:

In the Era of Conquest, the area of future Neocity is torn between Solarians and Lunarans, with huemanity still having a vague memory of ancient humans' war between the Sun and Moon, though not having all the details of this war aside from keeping the prejudice surrounding it

In the Violis Village, the figure later known as Prima in hueman history is the heir to rule. Her family consists of Solarians, but Prima herself resembles a Lunaran due to her albinism, already creating tension in the village.

However, she finds a mysterious energy that turns her into a Paladin. With huemanity having no memory of the humans' mass destruction OR about the heroes who avenged it, Prima realizes through this energy that she must reunite the new simulacra of these "Paladins" into a full rainbow and find out the truth behind their mysterious origins.

However, in accepting her newfound duty as a Paladin, she leaves behind her twin brother... who I'll refer to as Taro. "Baby Tarum", if you will :]

If Prima is a princess to the village, Taro is her knight.

But what's a knight without a purpose?

Prima begins interacting more and more with who she considers fellow Paladins, which Taro accepts at first, but begins to falter as Prima becomes more distant and starts being sympathetic to Lunarans like the Azure Paladin, "Azure Sky".

But this doubt is PERFECT to utilize, according to the three Titans behind the Paladins' constant suffering: Aster, Arke, and [SPOILER]

The details here get fuzzy, but the principle is the same; Taro gets manipulated by either Aster or Arke into turning on his twin sister by defeating the Paladins.

Of course, the Paladins stop him, but Prima doesn't want him dead also maybe he's pretty banged up after trying to fight uhhh 6-7 PALADINS so he might have actually been on the verge of... yknow

So, Prima makes a wish towards Iris, whom she figures out is the creator of the Paladins; make her brother a Paladin too

All of Taro's suffering was due to him being outcasted by the Paladins, but losing his sister to being a Paladin.

Iris learns an important lesson; Paladins shouldn't have hueman siblings. Not only does Paladin-bullshit hurt the Paladins' mental psyche, but also puts innocent huemans in danger, which isn't what Iris wants.

And so, Iris grants that wish; she gathers the power to make ONE more Paladin-creature, an "Indigo Paladin", shifting Taro's purple hue into indigo.

In living life as a Paladin, Taro (Now "Tarum" and going by they/he) is grateful for Prima's wish... and after the first century is over, Iris and Prima entrust them with the Violet Paladins' soul; the mysterious energy Prima absorbed so long ago

Grateful for the opportunity they've been given, Tarum decides to honor their twin sister in every way they can, especially by mentoring the future Paladins he comes across.

Tarum also:

1.) Learns witchcraft and herbal medicine, which were things Prima learned from being a Violet Paladin

2.) Archives as much information about the Paladins and the former guardian (Violetta) as he can, honoring Prima's quest for knowledge and truth during her reign as Violet Paladin

3.) Using their newfound Indigo-Intuition (no, literally. The Indigo Paladin virtue is Intuition) to gain insight into the Paladins; how they work, who they are, what they generally look like, in hopes to help reunite future Paladins together by recognizing which huemans ARE Paladins and how to handle each Paladins' specific personality

4.) Spoiler territory but Tarum also has something to do with Amethyst's lore and arc because of the ways they honor Prima

And so, that brings Tarum to modern era, with the Violis Village developing into Neocity, a bustling urban environment centered around tournament fighting as the SUL universe's equivalent to California's Hollywood/Los Angeles (i,,, did Not know Hollywood is just a neighborhood in LA but uh yeah you get the Vibe)

And for 1900 years of his existence, Tarum has always mentored the Paladins and strove for their safety :] <3 Now, he's entrusted with the 20th generation of Paladins; Ruby's generation!

And anyway, lastly, here's some general info about Tarum to round things off lmao bc all their cool shit will be in SUL's main storyline which I don't talk too much about due to spoilers

- Tarum I swear should be about 1900 years old in terms of his immortality, but biologically he's about 24-25. So, mentally older than Jay and Amethyst lmao

- Yes becoming an Indigo Paladin made him realize they're nonbinary (I definitely wanted to make the Guardian of the Paladins nonbinary so this helps in differentiating him from Nox Rainbowflare, who'll remain a boy) ((emphasis on "boy" bc Nox is 17 at /max/ lol))

- He's aroace! Prima was pan/pan and it took until later for Tarum to find a word for it

- Obviously no voice actors are solid OR involved with SUL right now, but my friend @/ravenwolfie97 suggested Cyno from Genshin Impact as his voice claim. I'd say it fits! :D

- Both Taro and Prima had fire elements, but as a Paladin, Tarum has "Witchfire" as his Paladin-power! The real life equivalent would be St Elmo's Fire or corona discharge

- He also gains a weapon made of light he can summon from their soul! It's specifically a "spetum" :] (you can see it on the character art from above lol)

- As a Paladin, they still need to eat and consider themselves vegan, since Paladins need to absorb light energy from plant material. Their favorite foods are blueberries and taro boba tea... though Paladins can also eat flowers too so their favorite would be baptisias (wild indigo). Funnily enough, they can't eat any green plants, because lime green is their complementary color and complementary colors hurt Paladins lmao

- Their general vibe is "slightly older but head of the pack; he guards and protects the team" and "soft strong protector" (thanks to my buddy 💜 for pinpointing their vibes immediately lmao). Since he was a soldier in the Era of Conquest he does still carry a warrior's drive, this time to protect the Paladins.

- They’re very stoic/resting bitch faced but very softhearted, especially during SUL's modern era where they've had 1900 years to develop healthy coping mechanisms lol

- Tigerlily the 16th is still canon. This means Tarum has had an emotional support orange cat for 16 centuries. He names them all Tigerlily. He's literally an Ancient Roman soldier but he's still enamored with pets.

- He feels incredibly bad about being a dick to Azure 1900 years ago though BQIFHJWJF he tries to be nice to all future blue spectrum Paladins,

- They’re technically the youngest Paladin and the oldest Paladin; biologically older than the rest but chronologically younger than even the Pink Paladin

- When they're not being Guardian, they're Mayor of Neocity! I'm wondering if I should change that title to "Princeps" or "Consul" considering his Ancient Roman origins lol

So yeah, Tarum is my newest OC! They're a revamped version of Lavender’s role but because of how much less restricting his character feels, I'm having a blast imagining their dynamic with the Paladins :]
